I will come to the U.S. to pursue my PhD. Oh, okay, so you want to come here to pursue your PhD? And what do you want to pursue your PhD in? Um, in computer science? Oh, computer science, wow. So you really, you really want to master computer science, huh? Yes, I want to go in depth to this. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Career Education Learning Center podcast. I'm your host, Mitchell Rivers. I am thrilled and elated to have Dizzy Pandy on our show today. Dizzy helps from India, the great country of India. How are you doing today, Dizzy? I'm good, sir. What about you? I'm doing fantastic since you've decided to come on our show. Thank you so much for coming on our show today. Thank you, sir. It's my opportunity. And Dizzy, tell us about your education of career thus far. What school do you attend in India? I'm in Government Development Engineering College of Rajasthan, India. My school is in technology, having major in computer science. Oh, OK, OK. So have you already been interested in computer science and technology? Yes, sir. I'm interested in technology a lot. I love the mobile laptop. How would it build? How would it works? That is great. Have you-- do your parents support you going to school and like you learning about technology? Yes. And so I've seen for your profile, you've done a lot of internships in every day in competition. Tell us about one of your internships that you've done. Currently, I've done with Bharat internship in web development. I've made a lot of projects, including the weather app, and the Netflix clone. And did you go in a competition one time? I read, but you did a competition. You're in your group. How did that turn out? Well, I went to a hackathon in our capital city of Rajasthan, Jaapur. It was so interesting. I met a lot of people, so that I gained a lot of knowledge from them, how they work, and I understand many things. It felt interesting, too. Yeah. And so you learned-- working with people and getting together to do a project, is that going to help you in the future? You feel like it's going to help you in future with future projects? Yes, sir. It was really, really interesting for me. I had opportunity to go there, present my project also, to meet people, and gain knowledge. And so how did things turn out? Did y'all win a competition? You come in second place, or third place in a competition? No, we didn't win, but we tried our best. Well, that's the main thing. You tried your best. And you learned a lot, right? Did you learn a lot from the competition? Yes, sir. And I've seen, also on your profile, we did something with Google. Did you do something with Google? Yeah, we completed a project with the Google Developer Sprint Club in our college. So for this, we get the specs from Google. And how did that go for you? Did that-- was that good? Did you learn a lot from Google? Been a big company they are? Yeah, we learned about the generative AI from Google. It's a course, and I learned about a lot from that. And you've taken a lot of online courses. Is that beneficial? I think you took another course called Appena or something like that. Yes, online courses help me to learn from my home itself. I can't go anywhere else to learn about the editor, also, for a save my time. So do you encourage other young people to go online and get certifications and learn a lot online with these different people and different programs? Yes, I will do, encourage people to do online courses, because it's safe times. And you learn a lot of things from this. And you get certificate from your resume or CVs also. And tell us a little bit about online courses. Describe how those courses go. Are they real long, real short? They have a lot of tests. How do, like, a course goes? Tell us about that. Yes, I learned about from this course, says a lot. The course depends on their own duration. Some are short, some are long, some are until months. I do a fabulous different course. And it was around 4.5 months. And I learned a lot of things. And I gained certificate from it. And also, it has been my resume to make my project. That is fantastic. Are you going to continue to take more courses and go to conferences to where you can learn with more people? Is that what you want to do in the future also? Basically, I'll do it for my resume to make it strong. But I'm not sure for going this in future, because I want to do my master's while I'm preparing for it. So I interview a lot of international students that come to America. Why did you stay in India, which is great, and go to school in India, ready to go to America or Europe? I want to, but my final share condition is not so good. And that's everyone. I mean, financial is a bit part of any way you want to go these days. Sorry? No, you go ahead. Do you think you would try to come? Or you want to go in the future to some other country, to also learn? I will come to US to pursue my PhD. Oh, OK. So you want to come to US to pursue your PhD? And what do you want to pursue your PhD in? In computer science? Oh, computer science. Wow. So you really want to master computer science, huh? Yes, I want to go in depth to this. And so while you were in school in India, did you do any other projects? Tell us about some of the projects you've done thus far in India. What's some of the projects you've done in school? They are not showing the school, but I will do it from myself. Like, oh, I made a travel website. I made a restaurant website. I made a Python. I mean, I think it's unique how much you have learned and how much you keep encouraging to take online courses. I think young people today, no matter where you're at in the world, need to just not only go to school, but also take online courses, go to conferences, because I've seen you have gone to a couple of conferences, do internships, like you have done internships. And I think that's very encouraging for young people to know that, hey, not only do you go to school this year, but also you want to get online courses, you want to go to conferences, you want to be around different people and learn a lot more. So that's how you feel that the young people need to go out there and learn more, not only at school, but outside school. Yes, of course, of course, school are very important, because of school not teaching and that we have to do it from ourselves. So not only do you need to go to school, but you need to do something for yourself, correct? Yes, sir. And so what other things have you done for yourself? Basically, I'm interested in chess in badminton and in basketball too. Oh, OK. So you enjoyed basketball too? Yes, sir. So are those some of the hobbies that you have to get us outside of your computer work? Are those some of the things that you enjoy doing in playing basketball? And what else did you say you enjoy doing in your spare time? I do painting also. Oh, you paint too? Oh, man, so your artist also? Yes, sir. I cannot draw this. I cannot draw. Do not ask me to draw anything, OK? I cannot draw, OK? I have my art, you know, and you have to send me some of your artwork and one time pay pictures and send it to me, your artwork. That is great. I've always admired people that can draw, you know, and just something that comes into me that I really like, the people that can draw and do other things there. Do you have any brothers and sisters that are also interesting? They go to college already or interested in going to college, like you've done? My most friends are not going to school. They always do online courses and learn from them or me. And that is fantastic. That is really fantastic. Do you have any things that you enjoy doing that are in school, that you're learning, you know? How many more years of school do you have to complete your bachelor's degree? Only one. Only one? Wow, only one, OK. And you say you're going to get your master's degree after that? Yes, I'm preparing for it. Oh, man. Do you have to take a certain test to get inside to school, to take your master's degree? So do you have to take a test to get your master's degree? Yes, so the test name is called as gay. So I'm preparing for it. It appears, I can appear in my fourth year, finally. It is so great talking to you today. I love talking to intellectual students, especially when it's in their home country. They continue to do well. And do you have any words or advice for young people who should try to think about going to school or doing things online? My advice is that focus on its school also. But the important is that you have to learn by yourself. Because the school not teaches everything, we have to do it ourselves. We have to go in our depths to learn things because it is important. But if we don't do it, we can't manage our life, too. But we just stuck in between them. Yeah, and if we don't go to school, I would say people not only go to a four-year school, but also go to trade schools, go to technical schools. Or like you said before, get certifications or license, right? That's another way that you can really build your career. You don't get career curators. You may have to go for your school. But if you want to have a career in plumbing, heating, electricity, auto mechanics, you know, we want to be an artist or whatever. There are other schools for you to go to. So you don't only have to go to a bit school or a four-year school. You can also do training online, training to learn a craft, right? You can also learn about doing different things that if you're going to be a apprenticeship, you know, and business-wise, right? Business is good, too. We're entrepreneurial. We're a business woman, a business man. And so you can also make a comfortable living and be happy doing that. So we want to encourage young people around the world to go do what your passion is and to learn, right? To learn and do the best you can, whether it's a apprenticeship or going to school. So, you know, that's what we want to appreciate the Career Education Learning Center. I'm going to thank this. She's so much for coming on our show today. This thank you so much for coming on our podcast today. I really do appreciate it. Thank you, sir.
