Now this morning show in Boston Billy and Lisa in the morning, it's just a great start to my day on kiss one oh wait Well Good morning everybody welcome into the Billy and Lisa morning show You know when they say things like best morning show in Boston makes my day It doesn't it make you feel like you should really work hard or Lisa? Well, I think we do a good job Yeah, I think but we're working hard. Okay, we're working hard. Yes speaking of working hard Winnie does a lot of stuff behind the scenes that a lot of people may not realize right Lisa Yes, like I don't know half the stuff when he does but luckily for me and for our listeners Winnie posted on social yesterday. Yeah, I kind of a demonstration as to the stuff she does early in the morning Trying to prepare for the show Problem with that is that during the entire post Winnie had a giant stain on her shirt and never bothered to mention it Okay, go to my Instagram in Winnie's world Okay, and I on the way here. I was drinking oatmeal trying to get some protein before I came here and a little bit spilled on my sweatshirt So I had a tie to go pen in my car and I had just you know Got to stay now. So when I was doing it it hadn't dried yet. Yeah, so it wasn't necessarily a stain It was the tide to go. Yeah, but the fact is the stain jumps right out at you And I just think that you should have addressed it. Otherwise it appears to the average person that that's the way we Operate down on our sweatshirt. I mean it kind of smacks you in the face. Yeah, there's nothing little about that stain I just didn't reflect on us as a group It's like posted it and then I wasn't gonna repost it like I don't see it least I didn't see it yet But stains happen. It was it was an after stain. Yeah, that was removed. Yeah, that was drawing I might I might have put like a little emoji over it or something exactly like a billion Lisa logo Draw a circle around it with an arrow and just write a sorry stain All right, let's it acknowledge it. Otherwise people think that's how we live I need the people to weigh in in Winnie's world. Go look at the post. I don't think it's that bad No, people have been waiting They have a little issue of the comments the fact that you did not address the stain is disgusting It's tied. Well, you should you should have removed it remove a stain Because if you don't address the stain which by the way was gigantic if you don't address it They feel as though all of us live our lives the same. Oh, no, I mean we all know I am nothing like the three of you Okay, as long as we got that cleared up You got to represent yourself much better Billy is so anti-stain. Yeah, well, I mean you throw clothes away when you spill something Level throw a boat away if it had to know yeah, it horrifies my wife She now, you know, she's I told you she's like whatever now Yeah, so like if I stain something or if I spill something she knows she'll jump in and say I know we got to throw it away Or I know we just have to sink the boat. It's worthless. Yeah, well the stain on a shirt wasn't the only problem with winning Oh, hey, good morning guys. Hey, Winnie I think you lost any chance at sympathy for your stain on your shirt when you said that you were drinking oatmeal Who drinks oatmeal? I was driving so I wasn't using a spoon. I had it in the cup with like some milk. Yeah, that's a man really soupy It was just like I had like I Eat oatmeal with milk, so I had milk and like blueberries and I can and a cup and I was drinking it Yeah, I didn't I was driving maybe next time put a bib on or something Something to cover this you gotta see this thing You do in this morning Justin You seem a little distracted. Oh god. I know you want are we gonna are we gonna address that this morning? We are but in the 7 o'clock hour Justin 715 traumatic experience last night. He was on the phone for hours and we're speak or no. Yeah. Go ahead. Okay Last night was the worst night of my entire life. Yeah, I almost didn't come to work I almost quit. Yeah, I legit almost quit. Yeah, and I'm willing to talk about it as a PSA to other people. Yeah, and let's just say We don't have to say anything beyond the fact that you almost quit this show last night and then we'll tell you why Well, it's something to watch out for yeah I will I went to bed at 1 30 my alarm went up at 3 and I was very close to rolling over and just giving up on life And this will be a public service announcement for Billy and Lisa morning show nation and it makes it made when he laughs So that's good, you know when he thinks it's hilarious guys the techs I was getting from the spy run last night and I was just asleep like a baby Yeah, so we'll deal with that right after 7 o'clock Ticket tag is going on and it's all about Tate McCray Justin. Yeah, and well, she did not address it either Yeah, she just kind of talked about her day like it was a normal day It was nothing normal about that stain. That thing needed to go. I'm really amazed here for oxyclean the stain specialist It cleans it brightens and eliminates odors all at the same time Now the entertainment update with a billy call set all right Olympic Games in Paris from France the men's gymnastics team grabbing a bronze medal last night two with the guys on that team are from Massachusetts including Steve netarazzic out of Worcester, Massachusetts, and he Pretty much secured the bronze medal on the pommel horse going up to call horse last guy up in the whole competition I had a good feeling that our team is in a great spot. I just knew I had to go up there and do my job Team USA gets a medal. I think you could see it right away when I land Yeah, dude goose lunch right now, man. That's the best moment of my life Yeah, social media lit lit up about this guy not about the fact that he helped the team win the bronze But that he was wearing glasses. No, I love this kid He and we had to take them off and he like can't see yeah, and he's doing the pot He's doing all the moves. I love them. He's adorable. They'll play Belgium on Thursday The men's basketball team plays South Sudan tomorrow and they say Jason Tatum will play tomorrow I'm gonna play every game is gonna be different based on matchups. He's a total pro He's you know first team all NBA three years in a row Yeah, you know, I've been watching the beach volleyball That is really exciting to watch. Yeah So I want to see the whole documentary You know what we are watching this week is another doc called sprint and it's all about the 100 yard 100 meter runners And it's really a good documentary to work watch as the Olympic Games are going on It's pretty cool. Anyway, the Golden Bachelorette starts September 18th on ABC Yesterday they dropped the first teaser of Joan the new bat a bachelor How do you feel about kissing another guy on TV? Oh, jeez I'm gonna have to get used to that because you don't want to be with somebody that you don't like to kiss So you have to like try it out. Apparently they have this giant hillside. It's one of the highest points In the region and they have thousands and thousands of people up on the hillside So they get to see and hear the show yeah for free and organizers don't have a problem with it to the point where They're actually sending water and stuff up for the people in the hill cool story. I don't know if you were in the room at the time when he but Justin walked in he said just so you know last night was the worst night of my entire life Yeah, I mean, I'll start with saying that I'm waking up this morning on this Tuesday July 30th I have one dollar to my name my entire life savings. That's my savings my checking all my credit cards All the money is gone to the tune of close to $33,000 was taken from me last night By scammers so innocently last night you were violated I know I know this is a comedy show. I'm gonna play along just know that I am not doing well this morning Very quickly. Yeah, what happened very very quickly. My debit card was hacked a couple weeks ago I got a new one in the mail and how I went it happened I got a call from my bank Santander and they said this is the fraud department and they shut the card down Send me a new one, right? Yeah last night. I'm laying in bed nine o'clock. My phone rings. It's Santander bank I answer it. It's a guy with a foreign accent like they usually are yeah Yeah, and he said this is the fraud department your card's been hacked I said again and so I'm on the phone with him for a while and he's asking me different questions and then he says to me Did you add a number there's another user to your account now things are getting kind of weird now we're 30 minutes in He's putting me on hold. He's coming back He's reading numbers another number on my account Which was a number that had been calling me earlier in the evening from the Netherlands 646 was the first three digits so I thought I said that number has been called me He said sir calm down we got you but somebody has access to your account put you on hold as he puts me on hold I'm texting Winnie, and I'm like my debit card was hacked again. This will be a topic for tomorrow I open my bank and I'm watching all of my savings and checking just go down They're transferring money in real time. I have my savings a thousand three thousand two thousand and I'm like freaking out I don't know what's going on the guy comes back and I thought I said my money's going and he says sir Calm down come down. I see it. I see the money. We're gonna get you all the money back So then he starts asking me personal information and you know miss the hustler here Yeah gave some of that information up. Oh, they did not know I was showing Lisa. He was sending me what looked like legitimate text messages to confirm information Yeah, it said it was from the Santander. So anyway long story short I'm dwindled on my savings in my checking and my credit card that was on my bank as well and then he says to me You are completely compromised at this point. Do you have other credit cards? I said I have a jet blue card. Yeah, how I said, but how is that related to my bank? He said well, I'm seeing some charges here with a jet blue card So I'm winning it. We're gonna need to call Barclays jet blue. I'm gonna patch them in now I'm like yeah ten o'clock at night. So I another voice comes on, but it seems the legit seems Yeah, yeah another voice comes on the phone and says I'm so-and-so with Barclays. Do you have your card with you? Oh boy This is really hard for me to say and I said yes, and he said Can you read that number to me? And so I didn't hesitate at first because I'm going to a ruba on Sunday Yeah, and I'm gonna bring my jet blue card. It's gonna be my primary source of spending Yeah, so I didn't want to lock the card So I wanted to believe it was real right and I gave the card number out and when I said that last number I thought to myself Is this the scammer that I'm talking to? So then a voice coming they put me on hold again. They're giving me reference numbers Lisa Yeah, multiple reference numbers like they do No, no, no, they were legit R and whatever so then they come back. This is the finale of it They come back and they say We're gonna send you a text message to confirm with a code So the code comes in like we do to sign into our work and it says from Barclays And I read the code to him immediately and he says thank you and then I read the message and it says Do not tell anybody this code. We will never call you. Oh, yeah, that's right procedure And then I said to him I read it to him and he said no, no sir It's okay, and then he sent another code and another code and now I'm like something is not right here Okay, so I hang up the phone I hand up the phone and I'm trying to call Santander bank. I don't know what's going on all my money's gone. Yeah, and And as I'm calling the bank the numbers calling back the Santander the fake when I'm trying to like stop it from calling and Then all of a sudden that six four six Netherlands number calls and I said what and I answered it And it was the guy hi. This is so and so from Santander. We got disconnected. Oh my god. It was all a scam Oh my god. They got everything and they were really good, right? I mean, it's so well planned well thought out scam. I've never been through anything like this in my life It's unbelievable. So, um, you know, my jet blue card is shut down Santander was not open. I have to wait till they open at eight o'clock and try to get what I can get back It's just a really bad situation. I didn't sleep. I was up until 130 Wanted to give up on life, man. Yeah, I'm sure but the bottom line is I think you're protected the credit cards right now Most of them are protected. You won't be responsible for any of that even though I told them the information That's my question. I think that's what the protection is for. They you know, they can't hold you responsible for falling victim To something that's as well organized as this I will say also you did look it up that Santander was Hacked. Yeah, apparently they were hacked and millions of people data was which puts it on them exactly Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much. I just think it's gonna be a few days, but to have your account trained like that. I Really? Yeah, yeah, I would go to a Santander branch like after work today go to the closest one. Yeah Yeah, and try and sort it out. You may have to fill some paperwork out like like fraud Yeah, but you need to go in person. Don't call them go there sit down They'll sit with you and they'll make the necessary connections, but the good news Justin Yeah, is that we're here for you at least I've got about one or two dollars. Well, I I really I need it all Fund me. Yeah, so I want to say this before we go that I thought about this for hours last night and this morning Replaying the call and everything that he said and you know, this is a PSA for people out there You know, they never asked for your full credit card number They never asked for a pin number and they never send you a code and ask you to read it back I did all of those things and it was one of the biggest mistakes of my life Yeah, I mean, there are all kinds of scams out there. I've had a pretty regular one keep they keep calling me incessantly Saying yes, we have one more step to approve your loan and I've had that call too I never asked you for a loan. No one's off from you. Don't answer And like Justin said let this be a lesson, but I'm sure a lot of you out there are listening you're saying oh my god I was scammed the same thing But we want your scam stories because this is happening a lot give us a call 617-931-1108 Justin the talk back also I want to add to that Billy if this has happened this similar thing has happened to you How did you fix it to get fixed please? We're going to be talking Okay in case you missed it a few minutes ago, Justin was hacked big time Last night they they took all of his savings all of his checking they maxed out all of his credit cards and Justin is freaked out this morning, but this is happening a lot more And a lot of people have been victimized this topic is huge because every phone line is booked We've got dozens and dozens of talk backs. Let's start with April. Good morning April. What have you got for us? Good morning back in 2021 my husband and I had split up and so I was very law About three months later. I started talking to guy online. I had never been online But you know I had friends that said why don't you try dating online? So I did I met this guy named Tony Who eventually basically just said I'm a soldier. I'm a US soldier and I'm stationed overseas In Africa. I said, okay. I so we talked for a while After a while he started saying that He had a daughter and she was in trouble and he knew money because he couldn't come home and He knew money to fly home and he also needed money for her. So Long story short. I ended up sending about a thousand dollars in Roblox If cards, oh, you know, and I was yeah, I was very raw You know, and I was on my own again, you know a single woman on her own again after being married And so it was it was very hard for me. I mean it wasn't until I actually met Marie Who asked me, you know, what kind of? Documentation he gave me basically he stole other soldiers documentation and and Sent it to me when I asked him because my dad was a veteran he was in Vietnam Yeah, so, you know, it was it was very it's the end of my heart when it's especially when it comes to better. I'm sure yeah And did you get more out of you? No, I after that I ended up realizing, you know This doesn't seem right. Yeah. Yeah, well, I'm glad you caught on exactly before you lost even more I hate to say a thousand dollars isn't much compared to some great. Give us a story Hi, um, so my family and I were down in Nashville at my sister's college graduation And so we were in a city that we weren't really super familiar with so we were Already a little vulnerable and my dad got a text With a link from Verizon supposedly saying that oh someone There was a illegal charge on your account and someone added like a phone line that wasn't authorized Click this link to see more so we click the link that was mistake number one And then they called him They turned off all of our cell phone data all four of us who are on the plan and they were talking to him and asking him to send money through Dell And they just kept asking for more and more and this is my dad who like is always telling us to watch out for scammers He himself got scammed and if you were sitting in the car I finally went up back up to the hotel use the Wi-Fi to get an uber back to the airport and So we were all in the uber together and I was hearing what they were saying and what he was saying back and I was like dad hang up right now and He finally did and he was so embarrassed. Do you call like ask them what they do? So then you know right for the next time. So bank you 101 this would make you aware any bank out there is never going to ask you For any of your information they're not gonna make you confirm it if it's a real bank and a real representative They should know our information already And the whole nine yards and then the second of all what I always tell my clients is Try not to use your debit card online For example, if you remember years ago target got hacked and there was millions of people Infected with on target hacking. So every single person who put their debit card in a target payment system Their stuff was compromised. So you're better off. You can go to a website Basically sign up for free on all three and you can freeze your credit so nobody can open new accounts It obviously won't help just in situation, but it would help anybody that would you know be exposed from this data bridge? It's it's crazy I saw the Santander Santander leak and whoever leaked whoever hacked and called the data sold it on the dark web for two million dollars But I didn't know about it. I gave all my information or whatever never ever got a credit card from them Wow, so this was years ago And then more recently you actually just this past year. I got some a letter both in my name and in my dad's name saying Hey, did you guys file tax returns and we're like no not yet. So our identities have been stolen And then on top of that I remember going through my father's emails once And you know how people would sometimes back in the day send like fake certificates like oh, you've won something right and send a fee Oh, yeah So he never you know and he was a highly you know PhD educated and everything but elderly, right? So I never knew this and I was just going through like looking for like sweepstakes things to delete and I found these emails and he gave Information and sent money overseas and they even held the money overseas saying don't send and they said well Don't let the authorities know and he said I think like five thousand dollars or so and he just made my heart Think cuz I was like, oh You know, but I mean what the other caller also said about like, you know You think a credit card versus a debit card, you know stuff like that But but yeah, if you ever sort of get that text message or something the one thing that they've said on the TV in the cops Always say is that always hang up and call them back.
