Vancouver launches contest for citizens to design a new city flag

Vancouver is inviting residents to help design a new city flag. Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle announced the contest during the State of the City address, noting that many people don’t recognize the current flag, which has flown for more than 30 years. The goal is to create a new symbol that reflects Vancouver’s pride, identity, and growth. Submissions are due by midnight on June fourteenth, Flag Day.
