Welcome back everybody to another episode of Froggy the Gator and we're jumping right into our joke today. We have a big lineup of birthdays on the next episode, so stay tuned for that. But today's joke comes from one of our listeners named Leo, who is six years old, and it goes like this. What do you call a dog when he has a fever? What do you call a dog when he has a fever? Okay, so this dog, he's sick. His internal temperature is a little bit too high. What do you call a dog when he has a fever? Are you ready for the answer? A hot dog. I get it like the food, but he also is a dog that is hot when you have a fever, you're hot, so well done Leo. Thank you for that joke. And today's story is a fun one, and it starts right now. One sunny Saturday morning, Froggy the Gator, Mr. Hummus, worm bird, and tomato hedgehog, set off with Froggy's dad, Daddy the Gator, to Gator Grove Gardens. It was a beautiful day and the boys were excited to explore the amusement park, their main goal to ride the infamous Ice Mountain Yeti roller coaster. The Ice Mountain Yeti was known far and wide as the most thrilling roller coaster in the park. It twisted and turned through snowy peaks with sudden drops and sharp curves that made it both exciting and a bit scary. As they approached the entrance, the boys eyes widened and all as they saw the sight of the towering tracks and the roaring sounds coming from the roller coaster. "Whoa, look at that!" exclaimed Froggy. "I've never seen a roller coaster that big before." "I heard the Ice Mountain Yeti even breathed real ice" added Mr. Hummus. As they waited in line, Froggy noticed a sign near the entrance that read, "Bravory is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it." And he wondered what that meant as they moved closer and closer to their turn on the ride. Finally, it was their turn. The boys and Daddy the Gator climbed into their seats, buckled up, and held on tight as the roller coaster began its slow ascent up the first hill. The higher they climbed, the more Froggy's heart raced. He looked over at Mr. Hummus and Warren Bird and Tomato Hedgehog who all seemed to be a little bit nervous too. As they reached the peak, the entire park sprawled out below them. Froggy could see everything from up there. The colorful rides, the lush gardens, and the people all bustling around looking like tiny little ants down below. The world seemed vast and exciting from this height like they were truly on top of the world. Then, with a loud whoosh, the roller coaster plunged down the first drop. The wind rushed past them as they zoomed through icy tunnels and around hairpin turns, and Froggy felt a mix of fear and exhilaration as they sped along the tracks. The roller coaster weaved through artificial snowcap mountains where gusts of cold air mimicked a real-life blizzard. Suddenly, they entered a dark tunnel, and the temperature seemed to drop even more. Snowflakes danced around them, illuminated by blue and white lights, creating a magical winter wonderland. As the train roared through the tunnel, they heard mysterious howling sounds echoing off the walls. The boys exchanged nervous glances as it sounded like a Yeti calling out to them from the depths of the icy cave. "Oh, man, did you guys hear that?" Froggy shouted over the wind. "Yeah," replied Mr. Hummus, clutching his safety bar tightly. "I think the Yeti knows we're here." "Maybe that's because we're in his territory now," Warren Bird added. "What if he's guarding something special in here?" As they emerged from the tunnel, they found themselves climbing another steep hill. To their left, animatronic Yetis were scattered along the mountainside, their eyes glowing ominously. One of them raised its hand and sprayed a fine mist of icy water over the passing coaster, making the riders squeal with delight. The boys laughed, feeling the refreshing chill on their faces, and for a moment, they forgot about their fears and just enjoyed the fun ride. As they reached the peak of the next hill, the coaster paused for a moment, giving them a breathtaking view of the entire park. In the distance they could see the towering Ice Mountain Yeti statue, with its white furry arms outstretched as if it was welcoming them to its icy realm. Then, without warning, the rollercoaster sped down another drop, twisting and turning through a series of loops and corkscrews. The guys all screamed at their hearts racing with the adrenaline. At one point, the rollercoaster dove into a cavern filled with glittering icicles and fake snow drifts. A projection on the wall showed a Yeti chasing after them with its big feet thumping on the snowy ground. The special effects made it look so real that the guys could almost believe they were being pursued by the real Yeti. "Look out, guys! The Yeti's gaining on us froggy yelled. Faster, faster, Mr. Hummus said, pretending to steer the roller coaster like a sled. I think we're gonna make it out!" Tomato Hedgehog shouted, and the rollercoaster dipped and soared, zigzagging through the mountain as the imaginary Yeti continued its pursuit. The guys all felt like they were on some kind of heroic quest or something, racing through the icy wilderness to escape this mythical beast. Finally, they approached the last section of the ride, where the tracks spiraled around a massive icy peak. The roller coaster climbed higher and higher until they reached the summit, and there they were greeted by a giant animatronic Yeti. Its eyes twinkling and its mouth opening letting out a triumphant roar. As they zoomed past the towering figure, a burst of snowflakes fell down upon them, creating another dazzling spectacle, and the guys were all cheering and saying this is incredible. Then with a final swoop, the coaster slowed down and glided back to the station. The ride had been an amazing adventure filled with thrills, laughs, and a touch of make-believe magic. Once they were off the roller coaster, Froggy felt accomplished. "Wow, fellas, we did it," he said, high-fiving all of his friends. "We're like real brave explorers." "Great job today, fellas," Daddy the Gator said, beaming with pride. "You learned an important lesson today. You learned that bravery isn't about never being afraid. Instead, it's about facing your fears and working through them." As they strolled through Gator Grove Gardens, they enjoyed even more rides and attractions, and their confidence was sky-high thanks to the valuable lesson they'd learned on the Ice Mountain Yeti roller coaster. The boys realized that facing their fears had made their adventure even more memorable. They went on to visit a fun house, they went through a mirror maze, they tried their luck at a bunch of different carnival games, and with each new experience, they felt more bold and more adventurous, knowing that they could handle whatever challenges came their way. Finally, they found themselves near the park's entrance, where a vendor was selling souvenir photos from the Ice Mountain Yeti ride. The guys eagerly gathered around to see their picture captured at the peak of the ride when they had wide grins and outstretched arms. "Look at that," froggy exclaimed, pointing to the photo. "We really do look like real adventurers." Mr. Hummus laughed. "Yeah, I think we got a frame this one, guys. It'll be a great reminder of today." Wormbird nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and it'll always remind us that we can be brave no matter what." So the guys all decided to buy the photo, proudly holding it as they made their way back to Daddy the Gator who was waiting by the gift shop. On their way home, froggy thought about what he would say if someone asked him his favorite part of the day. As they drove through the gates of the park, he finally knew the answer. "My favorite part of the day," he said to all his friends and to his dad, "was realizing that being brave isn't just about doing things that scare us. It is also about sticking together and helping each other through times that might be a little bit scary." And of course, the Ice Mountain Yeti roller coaster was pretty fun too. The end.
