- Okay, touch this. - On Scotty and Goss. It's hammer time. - Okay, touch this. - With Hamish Bratial. West Coast Poly complete tank solutions. Tanks for agriculture, residential and industry. West Coast Poly.com.au. Big weekend for the Bratials, and it's great to have the Hamish Bratial in the studio every Monday. Thanks to our wonderful friends at West Coast Poly complete tank solutions. Wow, couple of things. - Yep. - One, Fremantle Good, you know, really good Derby. Do you enjoy it? - Yeah, I thought it was great. - It was great viewing. - Yeah, it was good. - It was excellent. - It was a beauty. We've already dissected a fair bit but we'll do more on that in a moment. But I want to know what happened for the mighty royals. - Yep, not a great day. - Clean one are okay and probably one of the form teams of the combat present, but that was pretty average again after half time. - Yeah, clean one and killed us. They were very, very strong around the ball. They got themselves up for an important game for Rogers 1/50th and England's 100th. - Stop me. - Okay. - What was with the double? - Oh, they didn't. - Double chair off. - Fine. - Gardevonner. - For 150. - 150 Bailey Rogers and a 100, Kellen England. East Coast stayed on the ground. - I'm going to check in that out. - The Gardevonner was for Bailey. - For 150. - For 150? - Yeah. - Come on, Emma. Have you not been listening to us whatsoever? - Seriously. - There's rules in place for the guards of honor and we think you've gone a little early. - Yeah, potentially. - I think applying 150 games at waffle level is a bloody good effort. - Well, what does Tony not get? - Tony not gets a round of applause or standing ovation at Gardevonner as he gets to do a whole lap and we all follow him and clap. (laughing) - I didn't draw him off. - I didn't draw him off. - Yeah, we carry him off. - We'll be a motorcade home. (laughing) - Exactly. - No, we just got touched up around the contest. We kicked the ball back to them at every opportunity and yeah, they played well and we weren't, we were shown up so we got to go back to the drawing board a little bit. - Can I get a player's opinion on the standard of WAFL surfaces? I know we've had rain and there's a lot of criticism of this surface here and it's when apples with oranges in regards to availability. - And resources? - Yeah, resources. But I'm interested to know by what Claremont overall looks like 'cause it gets a lot of traffic. - Yeah, it was horrible. Everyone was slipping, it was tough to move. - Any grass? - A little bit of grass, but more mud. Inside 50 was just straight lines. I mean, lead of levels no better, but yeah, it's a bad time of the year to be a waffle ground 'cause everyone's just pissing down with rain and there's boots everywhere and it's- - Yeah, and it's tough. - There's a mountain on traffic and a lot of traffic on all of these grounds, isn't there? A lot of these are possibly the most used. I know Baso is not in great nick at the moment and they had 500 kids on the Ozkik yesterday on there as well. They don't get to reprieve any of these ovals. - No, there's no traffic in Claremont. Ovals are surrounded by housing and gets what should be a couple of extra hours of sun gets blocked out until it's about midday. - And dog walkers? - Yep, it's- - Not many, but it's a dog walkers as oval as well. - Well, no, it's not the owners of the dogs, it's their dog walkers taking their own- - They're very true. - They're still going to walk, yeah. - Very, very true. So is there a course for concern? You are still second on the ladder only by percentage behind Peel. It's a fair whopping percentage, mind you. Swans with that draw that, of course, which interest you get, Saframantle, but your whole third spot, Scotty. So no worries, Estrumantle. And then it's percentage to Claremont. They can ride off Sumi, West Coast, West Perth and Perth. Claremont, a real danger? - Claremont are, they're very, very good. And on their best day, they were able to smack us. So, yeah, I think if you wouldn't want to get them in the back end of the year, is it cause for concern, definitely. I mean, the comp's tight and we need to figure out how to string four quarters of foot together and we've got to bounce back. But it's, yeah, there's four rounds to go in that final. So we're, yeah, we need to figure some things out. - You've had a couple of fade outs over the last few weeks. Is that performance being come in, you think? - Ah, I don't know. I mean, that's the first four quarter performance we've been whacked all year. The last few weeks we've been dominating and then, you know, sort of put the queue in the rack and been run over the top and just been able to hold on. So, this will be one where we, instead of just reviewing a last quarter, we review all four and really sort of figure out what went wrong. - Mulligan? - Yeah, I mean, I think so. I think you've-- - It's one of those bad days. - Yeah, one of those bad days and they were very good. So, I would, as a captain, I'm happy to just put that one away and move forward in anyway. - Because I think the attention should still fully be on Peel and East Perth. It's the two elite teams in the Waffle competition. They're the hunted and everyone else below them is just trying to do their best. - Well, people play Claremont down in-- - Down that way? - Yeah, down there. - Down in Andra? - Down that way. But you spent your last three weeks down there. - I was there again yesterday. - Yeah. You should just walk to the ground and-- - I know it. - Get out of anybody. - Just-- - Just-- - And just see if anyone's selling. - And don't forget the big free Adobe, which will be important too, in regards to spots in the top five. Okay, let's turn our attention to Saturday night and there was a fair bit going on. What about the Derby fight? - It's on now, Cole, Barris, Stuart, Jinby, Wagner, they're all in it. There's spot fires everywhere. There's four going at the moment. Make that five. There is a fair bit going on. The Derby of old, not quite the demolition, Derby. Gonna tell you what, they're coming for a few now. There's gonna be some fines handed out here. - $34,000 worth. - There's just 17 fine ones on there. - Yeah, and Harley Reid's name wasn't on the list, which is quite remarkable because he was the focus of this game. I wanna get your, okay, you had a brother in the war. - Yep. - I wanna know-- - It was good. - Yeah. - It was very good. - Yeah, they, all the mids, we touched on your voting, which was very good. All three voters, all voting, same way. - I feel bad. I've struggled to sleep on it. I've said that already. - You thought Brace Shore was the best? - Ah, with hindsight. - When I was lying in bed, going, I reckon I've got it wrong. I reckon I've got it wrong. - Damn it, the four carves. - Yeah, just flip it around. - Yeah, and that's probably why I took a vote. Because he's gotta fave it. 'Cause he's got two-- - Surround kicking his goal late, and that blind spin that he did, picked it all up out of the stop. It's a 360 spin and then went whack. That got him over the line. - Yeah, but I feel dirty, though. - Yep, okay. We've spoken a lot early doors, and it's been a lot set about it. The Harley Reid focus. Now, Scotty is very strong earlier in the show, and I think there's a lot of our listeners agree, depending on what sort of the fence. The booing started before any of the drama. So the booing started on Harley Reid, then your brother got him late behind, and sniped him whatever you want to do. I don't think it was world's worst at the thump, and it was late and in the back. - And then Harley was in the middle of a lot of stuff. Can you just give me your opinion of the booing? - Look, he is young, and he's 19, but I just think the crowd gets involved. I don't mind the passion from 56,000 fans. I think if you're, I mean, if I'm putting myself in Harley Reid's shoes, I think he goes out there and talks the talk, and walks the walk, and I think he would, I was almost half expecting him when he picked up the ball from a free kick and had the chorus of boos. I was expecting him to give it to the crowd and turn and put the ear towards his ear. Look, I don't think, I don't like the booing at the start of a game just because he's Harley Reid, because he's better than, because he killed you guys last time. I don't like that. If he does something or he takes a dive or does something in a game that warrants, we're going to boo you for the rest, sweet. But don't go into a game booing him just because he killed you last time. So that's, I didn't like that to start with. The booing towards the back end of the game, sweet. No worries if someone does something, boo him. But yeah, the unnecessary booing to start the game, just because he's a very, very talented young player. - Bingo. - Yeah, not me. - Exactly what Scotty said earlier in the show. I think we all agree. I just, he brings on the focus, which I love. I just love, I just love for a 19-year-old, he wants the fire to bring it here, light it up around me. - Give me the ball. - And the thing we spoke about before, and I spoke about with a couple of people yesterday, isn't it great, or sad on one side, but good on the other, that a 19-year-old who says, "I'm going to fly the flag." And he brought in marriage and Hutchinson and all those other young kids. Enough's enough, you know, like let's, because they don't have any of that stuff in their armory, any more West Coast. There's no grunt. - No, he's no enforcer. - No, and he, he's not the enforcer, but he's the, he's the, he's the firelighter. - Yeah. - And everyone said, "Oh, he ran away back and wait." No, he didn't, he got taken out of a hostile situation by Elliot Yeo, and it was a smart move by both. - That was, that was a problem in that, when there was four or five spot fires, then down that end, it was amazing to watch. But he was on demand, 'cause that three of them were straining him. - Yeah. - And that three of them talking to him, go, "It's okay." - It was, it was very good, it was very good. It was, it was, the Midfield battle was enormous, especially early West Coast, Fremen, I'll then sort of midway through the second quarter, you felt Fremen were coming. What I liked about it, when we talked about your votes to the three, two, one, with a sarong, racial, young, all three of those people voting, all voted exactly the same way. I reckon you could have mixed and matched any of the order. Bottom line is, that's Fremen as one would. That was, they were awesome. - They were exceptional. I thought the pressure that West Coast brought was great in the first half, and then it sort of faded away and- - Undermaintive. - Hard to maintain the raids there, and but they've got to do that for the back end, just keep being physical. I think West Coast should dip into the 60 million they've got in the bank and say, boys, we'll pay your fines for the next four weeks, just go for it and have fun and play hard-nose football. But the way that Freo were able to use the ball by hand, some of those passages out of congestion, where it just went one, two, three, four, bang there in the middle, it was just, that was slick. And under real heat, I was critical of them early in the year that they were doing that under pressure and fumbling and putting the ball to ground and missing hand balls, but they were, to their credit, able to do that through some real, real pressure, and it just cut them up through the middle of the ground. The apps, their focus, we've got to go through the middle. Yeah. They just say, they look inside every time, they want to play through in the middle every time. They are so exciting. And then now I've got themselves, you know, I mean, that was a derby when we all expected. It took a while to shake it off. It probably shook them up about a bit of lethargy. They've got some big games coming up. You talk about the midfield though, freemantle. How many times, under that pressure, was it the quick hands, and I'm talking quick clean hands from Rachel or Serong Young was just sublime. And that's the stuff that can get you and link you out and get you out the exits and through the middle of the ground. Yeah, it was incredible. They were able to, I mean, I don't have the stats on me, but I'd love to know, I don't think there'd be a duo, Andrew and Caleb, who give the ball to each other more quite handy in the comp. It's just, there's one, one picks the ball up at ground and then you always get taught as a kid to get in front of your eyes and move your player, but you just get it and then bang there, he was just ripped, bang, straight through the middle. Got to take a break, we'll come back, we'll continue our chat about the Derby, and we're two now for freemail and West Coast, and we'll get what's left in the tank for West Coast Poly Complete Tank Solutions, westcoastpoly.com.au, HamishBracean in the studio. Stop, have a time. West Coast Poly Complete Tank Solutions, tanks for agriculture, residential and industry. Westcoastpoly.com.au. HamishBracean in the studio. On this Monday morning, West Coast Poly Complete Tank Solutions, all righty, what's left in the tank for West Coast with a month out now? We saw again, Sheet and Gaff get plenty of the footing, we're going to have those conversations and you were keen on getting Gaff to 300 overall for over 300 million air life membership, whatever you get there. - Whatever it's called, yeah. - Whatever you get that. What about Fremantle though? We've done our predictors, I've got them finishing fourth, I've got them playing Sydney in the first final, and that wouldn't worry them because it'd be at the SCG and they'd bet them before. - They have? For West Coast, I touched on it before, what's left in the tank is, I think they dip into the budget and say, "We're going to pay everyone of your fines going forward." Unless you get reported, "We are going to pay your fine," because the way that they were aggressive and played with some flair and some attitude and a little bit of grunt, challenge freer for half of football and then a little bit of the second half, they didn't get, people thought that was going to be 100 points and they were able to really put the pressure on them and I think if they can play with that, they're going to be competitive for the next four weeks, which is all that anyone wants. No one wants to see them bundle out and they're already booked footy trip and all the rest of it, they're having fun, but that sort of edge and aggression, I think West Coast, what they've got left in the tank is, say, "Boys, we've got 60 million behind us "and just go for your life. "Don't do anything that'll get you reported, "but we'll pay you a million." - I'm not sure they'd have to do some creative accounting to be able to do that, but they go and Gold Coast this way, we'll get your tips in it, see. - Wow, Gold Coast. - Here. - On the road, that might game on the road, is she? - No, then they got North away. - Oh, I bet North. - Well, if they bring that energy that they brought, on said they're not, they're a chance. - They don't want to bet North. - I know they want to. You know, the gloves are loud. Technically, the recruiters don't want them to, but, you know, they're a chance there, but then they're finishing up with Carlton. - Yeah, that would be tough. - They're a long encounter, they got in between those two, so. - Yeah, that's going to be hard for them. And for Fremantle, I mean-- - Where do you go when you played your long in the last game, Hammer? - Yep. - 'Cause a lot of teams, when they finish here in Perth, they just back their passports and they're straight to Bali. - Straight to Bali, yeah. - Where do you go from Jollong? I mean, when I was going to New Zealand, I was going to Tassie, straight to the States. - I think you go like that. The Avalon Airport, straight home, as quickly as you can. - No, I agree. - No, and for Fremantle, I think, honestly, what, I've got them, they've got so much left. I think they can honestly win every game for the back end of this year and finish in that top two spot and get a home final. - Dogs were in, the dogs were in, we did have a ladder predictor earlier, the dogs were all four. - Just to harvest his work, did they? No one else can, because it is the hardest thing in the world to pick, but he's on with the moment. I'm not sure you're aware of this. - I'm aware. No, I think what's left in the tank for them is a top two finish and I think they're going to get a home final here and be very, very hard to stop. I think Andrew and Caleb and Hayden and Nathan, all four of his first names, they, like, Fife is now using his hands. Yummy is electric and Andrew and Caleb, I think are as good tag team as they are in the comp at the moment and are flying. Fife being suspended is not good. - No, no, because he's absolutely adapted his role of what he has to do and that is used by hand. - Yeah, but they've got the worst team in the comp this week, so it doesn't matter. Have they got to listen to them, don't they? - Yeah. (laughs) - They could roll out, they could roll out peal reserves. - They could roll out the peal reserves and win this week. Essen and Ard, the worst team I've seen ever. - So put, free, free mantle, yep, all out managed. - Oh, I would seriously, if you've got anyone under any niggles, any concerns, manage 'em this week, 'cause Essen and Ard done. - All righty, okay, is that killed, didn't he? - Yeah, yep. - Thank you, absolutely destroyed them. - Sure did, yep. - Two weeks in a roast and killer have played like- - Look, rock stuff. - Yeah, yeah. - Elite. - What's up in there? - There's a plug who's let the shackles off. - Is Ross being crook? (laughs) - Who'd that play, who'd that play the wait before? - West Coast. - West Coast. - Oh yeah, there you go, they played West Coast, and they played Essen the two worst teams. (growls) Do you know, I wanna back over this. I wanna back over this, if we can. Thanks, Mr. Linesman. You know, I copped an absolute pasting. - Of course you did. - Four weeks ago, about mentioning the crowd at an MCG game. - I've already put it in my losers, you know that. - I said they not, I know that, but I wanna make mention of it again, while you're here. - Yep. - So I made mention that 24,000 was poor on a Saturday night standalone game between Melbourne and North Melbourne, albeit, but it was still Saturday night, MCG fixed. - Yeah. - And that's what forced me into a pseudo retirement on X. (laughs) Right, that's why, 'cause the abuse was next level, like elite levels. - That's a better man. - Girl, how are we, it's in all these frauds, right? - I've said, I've said about you a number of times, you could get up and say what you had for breakfast and people would hate on you, on there, honestly. - Well, you're in four weeks, you're an animal, you're sick. - 16,000 were at the MCG for a team fighting for a spot against a contender, the GWS joins. I know that I don't have a huge audience in Melbourne GWS, but still, 16,000 MCG, and that includes MCC members. And I got pasted, yet everyone now is jumping on. Everyone, the Mitch Mary's of the world. - I've said, my winner's made it, just took a good journalist to come out and point out that the- - Thank you. - That the- - You're ahead of you, Tom. - I was doing it. - It was, it's alarming, mate. - Yeah, no, it was terrible. It was terrible. Melbourne supporters have checked out. They've all but gone this year. They have 16,000 at the G. I mean, everyone was talking about the Orange Tsunami at the start of the year and how fans are popping up out of nowhere and Melbourne have won a couple of games. They're ready to go. That was just disgraceful. - All right, time to get our teeth into our tips and it does start on Friday night. Boorhogs take on Melbourne. At Marvell Stadium, it's eight versus 11th. Just for the record, we've got to get this out 'cause people always ask us, where do we sit in the tipping? - Of course we do. - No one's asking us. - Yeah, you're in an ages nation. - Oh, good on you. - Good on you, Tim. - Tweet about it. - Cameron and I are going to go up a visa and we're running around. - Yeah, exactly. - Like extended by lead for us, you know. - Thank you, it's awesome. - Boorhogs versus Melbourne, eight versus 11th. - Boorhogs belt him. - Yeah, aren't they good, boo? - All right, we trust him now. - Yeah, we do. - What should we do? - Jamari, you go Hagen. - That's right. - He's just a critical partner. - You're a pretty good partner. - No, Rory, lob down back. - Hello. - What is happening? - What has happened? - I'm not sure. - How you feel? - I feel fine, all right, they're a stand boy, every common I've ever made. - West Coast, Gold Coast on the road. Gold Coast can't win here. - Man, they can't win at home any more. - I think Gold Coast can win. - No! - No, you didn't think they could lose or what? You didn't think they could lose at home? - The West Coast won't back up what they brought. - Yes, they will. - No, I think the Gold Coast sons will win this one and they'll break the curse. They've broken the curse at home, they'll break the curse away, they'll beat West Coast. - Shh. - West Coast is shot. - Did you know that Clay Hall came out and said, "Look, I'm not playing great football, I'm learning, "and I'm enjoying my time." His answer to all the questions about why he hasn't played. Barry Hall's just had a home birth and he's called his kid Clay. - Oh, really? - Well, there you go. - Hey Hall, named after a waffle football. (laughing) - Big fan, big, big fan. - You got any Barry's here across here with an archer? - Yeah, yeah. - All righty. - You should go out of case on the weekend. - Yeah. - There were no trot's on to say that, although I was always here. Hey, so who are we tipping? - I have tipped Gold Coast. - Really? - Yeah, I have tipped Gold Coast. - That's got it? That's one day. - I don't have to tip it. - You don't have to tip it. - It's pretty tight and tipping. I don't know why you just sit on it for a while and I'm going to play the answer really. - Hey, this is a game which is very important for West Coast. North Melbourne take on Richmond. - North obliterate them. - North should be about 13th. Not 17th. - North is good now. - They're good. - Geelong Adelaide in Geelong. - Geelong Adelaide suck. - Yeah. - Collingwood, MCG, Carlton, 12th versus 4th. - Carlton the rubbish, this is going to be sorry. Carlton they're rubbish at the moment I think, but they're better than Collingwood. - Someone put, put, just put someone on Nick Daikos. Don't let him get 45,000 touches. - Yeah, 18 in the first quarter. - He's so good. - 18. - So, so good at the four. - You've got a new tag? - I can't win this. Yep, Carlton, win it. - Port Adelaide home. - Yep, Sydney. - Doesn't matter, Sydney bounce back. - Really? - Yeah, Sydney bounce back. - Sydney are on this. - Yeah, Sydney are on this. - They're on the skits back. - They're on the last five. - Yeah, they do. - But North Melbourne. - Sydney are good. Sydney are good, don't worry about it. - GWS at Manuka against the Inform Hawthorne. - Yeah, Hawkes will find their way into the eight this week. Hawkes win. - Okay. - Then Jack will be watching Celeste over there. They'll be on the ropes and Hawkes will come through and just go bang. - What? - What? - Jack will be watching his girlfriend at the Olympics. - Oh, Jack Buckley? - Yeah, yeah, right. - So, Nabi, our child kicks 11. Nah, he day one, but Hawkes will win. Hawkes are very good. - Essingdon are at the MCG and they take on free men. - Doesn't matter. Essingdon could be playing the Ozkick kids at half diamonds to all those. - And so, kill the take on Brisbane. - And Brisbane will win that. - Thanks for coming in. Always a pleasure. - Hamish pressure, he's on fire. We love him. - He's crazy as hell, isn't he? - He's got a complete tank solutions. Thanks for agriculture, residential industry. westcospoly.com.au. That's what happens when you get thumped by Claremont. - Oh, right. - We'll take a tip. - We'll take a tip. - Scottie and Dost. Hamish pressure every Monday.
