[Music] Alrighty, one man who played in more. Durby wins and losses is Hayden Allen time, he did and he joins us now the racehorse trainer to the stars. Bella's appreciate your time, I know you're a busy man at this time for a racehorse trainer so thanks for taking some time out. Are you excited about the Durby mate because I did see you wearing a Brisbane lines being in the other day in the crowd and I'd like to know what's going on there. Locky Neil said he was paying for no good if I wore some busy gear so he'll wait on the same note or free note as he'd explained perfectly again understood too. How did it go down? My daughter, he actually bottle fed my daughter a few times ago for dinner and she loves him so she said I want to go watch Locky so yeah keep the kids happy and we haven't watched and yeah he played well the little fella. Yeah nice way. Any feedback from the crew? I had a few weird looks yeah particularly from the West Coast supporters. I think they had a double look and said that it was me but no no words was said but it was good. Well you're very close to becoming a West Coast Eagle player we must remember that so you've probably got a little bit of a West Coast Eagles running through you, Hayden. I wouldn't have thought so. Oh I reckon you might have. Well I wasn't a West Coast supporter of the young fellow mate. My whole family turned except me popped he was a stubborn over after he wouldn't change at all so everyone else had a free jump run except him. I must be excited watching him at the moment she did good to watch. Yeah very good tour. When you see him run off that half-back line and run and stun they look really good and yeah it's nice when the balls come in nice and quick like that particularly for the small four. You see he's thanking a few girls in the weekend and it's coming in quick. He gives us an opportunity. When I ask we give the small guys a bit of an opportunity. Ah well we know what you mean the little fellas don't worry you stick together. You must be amazed he's just watching the sun he's still just doing his thing out there and you know there was talk and you know I think JLo was on our show on Friday and said that he was going to be the sub he started and it was a master stroke. But do you sit there and just go he's still going and he's still good. Yeah there was one mark he took in I think it was a third quarter I could just feel he's and he's stretching I was thinking oh god don't do a string but yeah he's playing good footy and you know he's such a skillful player and a smart player like you can't teach smart fuck what he's got. So if he gets the ball and he's dangerous he'll kick some goals I think and his leadership as well like he's been what he bought 14 years in he's been around a while he knows he knows his stuff he's good to teach the younger guys coming through about his few little tricks. Hey do you lick your lips mate when you see the forward line at the moment with there's some big bodies in there obviously yeah number one man in Josh Tracy but Amos competes you know really strong stats completing Jackson's down there and you know who doesn't take an amount of marks there's gonna be a few opportunities for a little block like you you'd be running a mark. Oh 100% but Josh Tracy's my favorite player either he's a proper man he just doesn't he doesn't care if anyone who's in his way yeah if you're in his way you're getting steam right but you see him in a crack at Stevie Stevie May on the weekend I was just I want to jump through the TV and help him. It was good to watch. He's a proper man that boy and I love watching him play but you know Josh he's just a unbelievable footy player he just got the smart the leading patterns yeah I just natural to him he knows he leads at the foot and he takes a good mark and well he used to keep really straight and I think that'll come back to him once he once he gets those gyps out of his way but yeah it's just good exciting to watch midfield as well like the whole I think the whole team's playing is one and when you're doing that you're very hard to beat. Yeah there's great connection isn't there all the way through that the lineup I want to just flip you over to Hawthorne at the moment do you do you get a joy out of seeing Jack Ginnovin doing stuff and now Nick Watson in fact the whole Hawthorne team remind me of a whole lot of Hayden Bellantons. Yeah a little bit I Jack Ginnovin he was copping grief when he was at Collingwood I think he got a venture for something and I actually flicked him a message and said mate F the haters do your thing and that's what he's doing at Hawthorne now he doesn't he doesn't care what anyone says or thinks can he come back it up with his foot he played a really good game in the on the weekend and it's one thing to talk the talk but then he can walk the walk as well and when you do that you're scary and then you've got Nick Watson who's and you know basically having an impact in his first year they seem to blend off each other he went through the goal kicking hips as well but he seems to have turned that around so Hawthorne looked like a team on the up let's go back to the Derby we were talking earlier today that it's been a while and I think here's someone a lot of techs that come in said 2015 where both teams were finals contention so when you've got one team at the top and one down the bottom it's sort of a hard to generate enthusiasm give us an internal from a football club's point of view about the lead up to a Derby do you think there is still that it's us versus them mentality or is it fast becoming as much as a pains me to say it just another game we always talk about it it's another game but in the back of your mind but derbies are always high intense high pressure games and it's a good it's basically like feels like a final when you're out there like the pressure goes up the crowd are much more emotionally involved because they got a deal from shit from their work colleagues for the rest of the week or until the next game so it's definitely it's definitely a bigger game no matter what anyone says but when you are concentrating on getting ready for the game you got to trade as another game you know you got to focus on who you're playing on and prepare as if it was another game but yeah there is definitely that little bit of extra going into it and particularly there's a lot of history there there's a lot of stuff going down and you don't forget those types of things do coaches draw in their history bellows or does the players have to do that individually no I definitely think coaches would would bring up certain things and players players definitely remember certain bit I used to remember little things so if I saw someone who did something to me previous games I'd make sure I put a bit extra into the tackle not that I can do that any not that you could do that any more you can't put too much into the tackle but you put a little bit extra in and make sure I felt it yeah you'd have to be careful laying them down onto the ground carefully mate and that's probably not your style way when you played in all the derbies you played in as gossip you got a winning record in derbies is there one bloke that came near and you just went oh you looked at the looked at the matchups before the game and just went I'm going after him not in a physical way but in a chippy way because there was always players and I'd look at and go I'm going to try mentally disintegrate this human being today which is he yapping at them all day long did you have one that you went to he's in for a tough day ah there wasn't one there was generally six defenders now a little bit of it you know yeah I thought there's all it's generally the bloke who stuffs up there he stuffs up there they're in for a long day just let them know about it and rub rub it into them because if every player can mark kick and ball run it's what's between the years that that counts really particularly when it's a tight game and if you can rattle a few players and um get on top of them it can it can definitely help i 100 think it helps because a lot of this game now because everyone's so fit fast and talented it's all between years so if you can rattle them between years um it'll go a long way towards beat them yeah very true hey um do you give west coast any chance i mean they beat them in the derby at the start of the year this is a freeo derby free hour in top four contention west coast are just hanging by the skin of their teeth with a looking for a new coach what's your vibe on the result on the weekend oh i think it's always a danger game but west coast they're they're hard up against i think i think the Brisbane game you know they had a bit of a sugar rush with the with the new coach and all the stuff that happened and a bit of a sugar rush and played well and then last week thanks got a hold of them so it's it is hard for them you can see they've got some talent there they're going to be good in a few years time but yeah i think it's hard seeing it coming towards end of the season those young players are getting tired the first year players they they go good for the first half of the season and then it catches up to them when you're playing it's men for a full year it's um it does break you down so i think they'll be getting tired i hope it's a good game but i i think it could turn into an ugly player and we're trying to build it up mate and Simon from clamon who yes you know i've only ever bought 1 3 0 jumper the number one my all-time favorite one of legends there's plenty of hey there's a good man i hope i got a little bit of commission out of that plenty of love plenty of love for you and there's one question too that gets asked you know the derby you know and this was probably it was a pretty ordinary moment in a derby when um when gaff dropped uh brayshore but was it true that rosline had to calm you down a little so you didn't just go full mental little bit yeah i i went and asked Ross if i could get him and he said no he said just don't don't don't don't dirty your name because of what he's done so i always yelled out for blood i still had a go and end up breaking my thumb trying to belting but it was um it was uh it was just one of those moments you know you break one of us i think he's first for second year player he's just a roofing blow any brochures on a nice spot you'll ever meet and andy andry gaff he's actually good fella played i played international rule with him and um he's actually a really nice fella himself but when you cross that line you're in your own you can jersey and you do some of that to our teammates um yeah all that blood and luckily Ross did semi calm me down and um yeah didn't let it happen hey bellows when andrew brayshore came to the club were you aware of him having an extra calf muscle in both legs and he's got sort of uh fat calf fat lower legs he doesn't have ankles it goes straight from foot to knee there's nothing there's nothing else there it's just straight up and down it's it looks like a bit of poly part going straight up yeah well we had him out with brayshore in highmish he's a regular on our show on a monday and he said he's got an extra cellus cellus cellus cellus which is an extra car he's born with an extra car lastly but so yes there you go look at you look at you yeah yeah yeah you know he could have donated that to harley that's what harley bennor always used to be so he could have donated to him we would have won a premiere sit then yeah what a good player we didn't get the best out of him sadly hey you're old mate paves in paris hey what about that eh he was done on the shorts and uh the news crossing shorts and bergs with a jacket on how how the arrogance of him with the shorts that was unbelievable i couldn't believe it but now i get on in these um he's probably Tiffany's cup of cheese and croissant out out looking over the awful towers like he fell yeah exactly right and last one i tell you what there's most most folks in paris have big noses so you're cheating quite well there's a whack and then i'll get to him the other side of the world too just the last one before we let you go um he almost pulled off the big noses you almost pulled off the big sting on salera the best back runner of the of the meeting was a horse called advanced and despite the fact that array seven wide uh it loomed up to it loomed up for victory you have to count the money at one stage you had to bring that up didn't you got some still seizing about that but yeah that that horse he's um two of his last three races he's been beaten by less than half a length and that's a difference between probably a hundred grand and ten grand so yeah he's he's he's going really well the horse and um if he gets a good steer only time soon he'll definitely win him one whack um so it's a fair to say Luke Campbell won't be riding your next start no Luke all right Luke he's a very he's a very good rider very good young young apprentice and um it was just a basic experience thing if you had a guy on left instead of right he would have won by a couple of lengths so now i don't i don't that's probably sound like a bit of a clip but i don't bag the jockeys they make split split decisions and um split second decisions and you know i've got a footy feel you don't mean to miss a girl whatever down there you do so oh i don't i don't bag him out too much very understanding you just leave that to the punters right we'll take care of that as they head back to scale don't over that hey mate the olympics are on your own you're a horse man you're a horse lover but i'm surely not even you will be interested in the dressage i'll just watch some up on the telly up there um does the dressage get you at all i'd rather watch paint dry mate my kids do dress hard i feel like watching the cross country that's actually quite quite good to watch the cross country and the jumping that's that's amazing watching that but the dressage give me a spell all right have you got anything racing today i've got one in today race three she's got she's a um she's little trio we bought a uh three-year-old now we bought her as a yearling a couple years ago and um yeah she's going to try really well so she's not without a chance today for sure nice word ten dollars chris pahnam and drawn well i appreciate your chat it's derby with you i'm sure i'm sure if you don't have a runner i'd say they know i'd see be able to go to the footy uh are you like geese are you gonna come you're gonna be in a corporate box somewhere i'll be up in broom going up to send me self in broom for few days and i'll watch it up there fair enough too good on you hey mate always appreciate the time i know you're a busy man so thanks for joining us here boys yeah hey melon time he's good in here he just gives you the great feel for it yeah i love it so honest i was asked to go that broom geeks too i just said no i couldn't miss another game of footy so i have to say broom geeks out here i was a gig on somewhere up in broom there's something to do with the races up there and there's something going on yeah but um yeah work worked off me so i would have been gone in a way but two weekends in a row put her in and had son of herself up there until i fell us ill here where you'll kill him up there you know i'm about that all right you like he's hoarse today um yeah it's uh i have a look at said uh said the one start for a sixth and went out for spell which they do it's by playing god which is super sorry chris parham's a good jockey there is uh i think miller's got a one in the race called safe keeper it would probably be hard to beat with william pike but i couldn't help her i'm up safe keeper into she's god yeah very good all right we'll get a break away 21 past seven still only 4.4 degrees in the scn studio at optimus 16 showers developing today let's take a break and come back thanks for all the techs yeah we loved him to hide and Valentine superstar
