"I'll give you 100% and this is a 98 or 97% Scotty. 100% Dustin Martin will be playing at the Gold Coast next year for a two year contract. Are we taking that to the bank?" "You're taking the bank, just put it in the bank right now and just collect the interest." "Wow!" Richmond's public position and there's nothing to see here we still hope and expect him to play this week and for the remainder of his contract. I can tell you tonight that there is frustration building internally with how the last few weeks has played with Dustin Martin. Richmond would love for him to play at least one more time and have a farewell game but it's my belief speaking to people close to Dustin Martin speaking to multiple people at Richmond today speaking to people at the Gold Coast Suns today that he won't play at Part Road beyond this season. "Wow, I want to say here to you first." "Doing too." "And I remember, I remember all the other things you're doing right now and David's was the ox he was the man who delivered those magnificent words and ox just remind me how did that week go for you after you released that poo poo from all angles." " Scotty, I was in the fetal position for much of it. I had every journo come at me like wild dogs, asking for my sources. I said no, not giving them away. I said the only two people to know is Scotty and Tim. I told them who I got a problem but no one else is ever going to find out what is going on. Who made that report? Was that Tommy Morris? "No, I sent him a clue last night I'm pretty classified and that's one of many. Tommy Morris chimed in with it as well and Sam Hartman." "Scared my clue. My goodness. Thanks, talking about turning up late to the box party. My god. Anyway, I still think it will happen. It looks like it's going to go that way, doesn't it?" "That's the way he's saying that he has checked out." "We talk about checking out and we talk about the future and clearly if he's going to play on it, it will be the Gold Coast. He's nailed that ox. But is he exactly what it could be? It could be a Brennan for Voler Brisbane situation all over again. He goes up there. It could dismantle Gold Coast. He's old. He's got a bad back. What's he going to bring? He's not going to bring... Who's that rugby league player? Rugby league player was up there and played up. "Come on, Michael." "Come on, Michael." It could be this all over again. He's not going to put himself up in the media and become a pin-up boy. Come on, Tim. "No, I'll tell you why it won't be like that because he's got a coach there that he knows and respects and has a relationship with, so that works." There's a boy there named Mark Evans who knows fully better than anybody. They won't make him be the star of the show. He'll be there to put bumps on seats. He'll be there as a marketing tool, but they won't be hoping that he plays 25 games. They'll be hoping that he plays might be every home game and if he's okay he might play a couple more. Which thing will get coming for him? Galcoast will give up something for him. I think it's just a win. No one loses in his deal. Everybody wins. I would hope, though, that he's got one more game in him at Richmond so the fans can't say goodbye because we saw what happened at his 300th. We died at 2000th. I was just about to ask, is he playing on if he's fit? Or do you think he's going to check out? Because he won't speak. We know that and there's no problem with that. I know you think he should have a game that would be great. That's how you wrap up a box at Christmas and put a bow on it and go, "Oh, isn't he beautiful?" He said he's 300th, which everyone came and praised him for so that's my opinion in his mind. And if it's all about Dusty and he's not given anything back, what is it on Adam Ooza and Richmond to go, "Okay, no worries. You can walk all over us and we'll give you a send-off game." No, I know, I know. He's been the greatest player that I have. He has been. He has been. One off. But the simple fact is, all of a sudden they're just going to roll out the red carpet for him and he's not in the last month apart from the send-off game. He's given him nothing. He's taken off on holidays. He's done this. He's not playing. He's not fit. He doesn't want to. No, we don't know that. You understand you might be okay. We're only hearing maybe a speculate. But that's his fault, but he doesn't speak. You're not going to hunt for him today. At least you make consistent. Who is the best player you played with at Melbourne? I think I always say this in a couple ways. The most schoolful player I've ever played with was Alan Jacobic. But he wasn't a smartest player. And then I had a couple of really likely Gary Langen, Stein's Todd Varnie, and Russell Robinson, but probably Gazz, I guess. Yeah, all right. So if Gazz was... So if Gazz was probably floured by two years, I would probably say Robbie, if I had a private team. She said we went here and he won a great man. So if Gazz, if Gazz, I was going through the same thing as Dusty, and you're one of his teammates, and he's checked out. There's all speculation about Gazz leaving the Melbourne football club. The Melbourne great is leaving and could go somewhere else. He seems checked out. Would you, as a teammate, want one more run around with him? Or would you say, hey, well, if he's checked out, stuff him? No, if he's checked out, say what? Yeah, right. As a teammate. Yeah. And we've come across that many times in, you know, we know when players are checked out, and when players just don't have the heart to go on, all players are chasing a contract somewhere else. All the discussions with other clubs, you kind of lose a little bit of respect, not respect. You kind of move on pretty quickly and find a replacement for it. We're talking fully with the Ox, a very popular member of our show. So let's go back to last week's features. We don't want to go over our ground, but Essendon lost. Collingwood lost. Collingwood. Richmond lost. Carlton won, but your mob Melbourne, we saw firsthand over here. I don't want to dance on their grave at all, but what's their future? And where do they turn to as a football club now? Because, you know, they just look fatigued. They look like the cliff came a lot quicker than we thought. Probably didn't come as quick as Collingwood. What's your views on some of these big name clubs? Melbourne are interesting. Everybody saw that they needed a Ruckman to go into that game, and when you go and recruit a Ruckman the year before, Fulton from Brisbane as a backup Ruckman. And then you needed the backup Ruckman to play because you're up against two giants in Jackson and Darcy. And then you make him an emergency. You've just got to be saying, "What the hell are you doing?" And Simon Goodwin has got egg on his face. It's just a ridiculous non-decision not to put him in the side. You don't recruit a back when it's a backup and then not playing. And then what you do is you put Harrison Petty and Van Ruhan at risk because you're up against two giants. You don't know how, at least you don't know how to Ruck. Every time they go for a contest, you'll open themselves up. If they didn't get broken ribs or a punch, like a rutchets point, I'd be surprised. In all my years of watching Melbourne play, that decision of the play for them could be the most ridiculous decision that Simon Goodwin has to live with. And they're drinking their own barf order, Melbourne. They think that this side that they've got can go on and roll sides like Fremantle. I think, again, it's never going to happen. So Simon Goodwin should be embarrassed and don't fluff out these stupid press conferences where it's just part of the plan, part of all dust. All dust, every supporter, every person in those football pretty well knows that in the last year and a half, there have been decisions made that have cost Melbourne games, cos Melbourne weather positions. There's a time coming where if the decisions keep coming, Simon would have wiped in his position. Let's turn our attention to you talked about Fremantle and we're talking again about Josh Tracy and his dominance as a big man. And he's with transformation over the last 18 months into what he's talking about is just a key pillar and one of the starfords of the competition. There's no ceiling to Josh Tracy Ox. There's no ceiling. I mean, this is East 21, 21 and he's dominating. So he's going to be exciting in the next couple of years. Well, you know why? Cos he's done a pair of work. You can just tell if this year to last year, you can see what he's improved. His speed, his endurance, he's moving better than he's at. You can tell a bloke that he's done a ton of work. And the ton of work shows up in rounds, 15 to around 20, when the game gets really tough. I thought I didn't realize it was that quick. I didn't realize I knew he ran really good leading patterns, but he's clever. It's like he's got some real footy nows and they're family. And if he's willing to work in the off season, unlike a lot of other players, you know, you only have to look at my old club. If you're willing to work in the off season, we're going to get rewarded during the season and he's getting rewarded. So it's Fremantle and their supporters because of his work ethic. So yeah, hats off to him. He's going to be a star. I'm going to grab all my big fans in here. I'm going to go through the top eight, just yes or no. Are they genuine premiership contenders? Sydney? Yes. Carlton? Oh, yes. You have to say it. Yes, good. It's very good. The question isn't, would you want to die if they won the flag? It's are they genuine contenders? They are genuine. Brisbane? Yes. Fremantle? No. Well, get back to that. GWS? No. Geelong? Yes. Port Adelaide? No. Essen? No. This is just for life. I'm going to keep going though. There's a couple more. I want to mention Western Bulldogs? No. Yes. Melbourne? No. Hawthorne? No. That'll do. That'll do. So the two there that you've got for me, one, the say Fremantle aren't. I reckon they're in, I reckon they're absolute premiership contenders. Why don't you? I reckon I might be year off. I love the midfield. I love what they're doing up forward. I think we pierce out it's a bit of a hole, but I still reckon that travel factor. I just worry about the travel factor for female. It's always been a real issue for them. And if they don't finish in the right position on the weather, and I'm talking top two, or you know, if they don't get a home final, it's going to be very, very difficult. And Joel? That's the only reason. I think we've got the personnel, except for the back line. I don't think it can be open up, but they're sneaky. They're probably the 10% chance. And the other one's, Joel? You've got faith in Joel? Yeah, I do. I was at that game live. They got a lot of things wrong. Kind of brilliant, didn't play. They just haven't worked at that midfield rotation yet. And I don't think you'll ever see them play that poorly again. But they came up against a red hot board ops, like they were using a dry footy. And the one we're using a wet footy, it was chalk and cheese. So I don't think it's a one we'll put in a bad one like that again. If you can't trust those dogs, if you can't trust it. They're good. It's so good. So, so good. And Rory Lobb, what this? Well, Rory Lobb, he's put on a suit and he's got a cape. And it's because he goes, I was sitting behind some board members of the board ops. And I'm not joking, they were nearly falling over when he just kept plucking Mark after Mark after Mark after Mark up to a Jeremy Cameron new one. They're looking at each other, go with him on here, with him. Well, I think they're more surprised than Rory. I think Rory Lobb is waking up in the morning going, is this a dream? What's going on here? He's not surprised. He always knew, he always knew, just no one else did. Well, he has to place an hour back to show us that he can actually play the game. And he's, I'm telling you, watching him live, he was, he was whilst went dinnying. But there was no one coming near him. He was, he was there, I can't believe it. He's the biggest transformation of the player that I thought was on the scrappy. I don't know if it's the same. Well, we don't think so, man. We've always been supposed to be. Excuse me, David. You're not the only one. I'm sitting opposite of bloke, who has publicly named, shamed and smashed Rory Lobb from one end of a postcode to another. It's been a small period of time over about five years. I want to run this by you. I want to run this by you. Have a listen to GWS, and I know you don't think GWS are a contender. This is GWS's last five games. So they've got Melbourne this week at the MCG. They've got Hawthorne in Canberra. They've got Brisbane at the Gabba. They've got Fremantle at home. And they've got, yep, and they've got the Bulldogs in Ballarat. They've got a wretched run home. They've got a chance not to make. They've got a chance for the grandpa. No, no, no. You didn't want it. No, I'm saying is. And that's why it seemed because I was. Oh, yeah, of course. You've got a lot of people on my plate to do that to you. He just went to his ladders notes and fished your notes. Zero from five, or maybe, or five from zero, you know, depending on many of their, if that's, they are dead set 50/50 games all the way through for them. That's a tough tough tough. Yeah, it's really tough. I mean, Melbourne underneath my mother. And the good thing is, if you, if you are going to make a tilt of the finals, you've got to win those games that you need to win. So the destiny's in their own hands as it is with moments and what I think are now done. And so we're narrowing it down a little bit, but it's still, it's a very open season. My goodness. Second to 10, it's anyone's option on how they perform. We love you Tuesday tips with the Oxo. People are relying on this to rule a line. So here they go. Yeah, I got six last week. That was pretty good. Yeah, not tip Melbourne. Yeah, very true. All right. Here we can't believe you tip Melbourne to make free mail. All right, here we go. Friday night, Carlton Port Adelaide, Marvell. Lock it in, lock it around, Carlton. That'll upset Josh Carr. We don't want to upset him. Right. Got him covered. Don't worry. I was here for his first. I'll be here for his last. Right. Yeah. Saturday. North Melbourne, Jollong, Bluntston, Hobart. Yeah. Oh, I'll tip the cats. No confidence in North Melbourne. They're actually on the march. Yeah, absolutely. They're the best 17th place team in the history of the game. Oh, I honestly agree with it. I don't think they finished the game. What? Yeah, they had a massive dip again on the end. They did. Gold Coast. And what was the star? No, he's not. He needed 20. Got 19. He was a simple handle into the corridor instead of taking on two players. He doesn't bother the Ox. Ox has no interest in that. I'm with you, Ox. I'm with you. People who do that. Crazy. Right. Gold Coast. Lions on the Gold Coast. It's home. Gold Coast for me. Yeah, is that scary? They've had a big couple of games. Prisoner, I can go coast, might get them. Oh, wow. Sincuda, Essendon, and Marvell. No, who cares? Let's give it to the bombers. The bombers have to win. I'll say this with all honesty. This is the biggest game for us in 10 years. Wow. Melbourne, GWS. They've been crap for nine. So this year, this is the biggest game that they've got to deliver, because they've had a chance to go second on the ladder a couple of times against sides that they should be. If they've got half a ticker, this is the game, they must win. Melbourne, GWS. Nighttime Sanalache. It's the G. Yeah. Mexico will be back. It'll be interesting to see if he takes selection. He doesn't like Rachman. So let's just hit Melbourne. Hopefully, he'll decide to put Mexico on him. It's been some spectacular zingers today. Just slotted into a conversation. Loving it. Game of the round. Game of the round. The Derby here. Saturday night. Fremantle, West Coast. Well, Fremantle would want to win it. They would want to win it and win it well. That's all I can say. And they should win it and should win it well. They'll win by 70. No, they didn't win the first. They were supposed to win the first one by 70. They'll win this one by 70. Collinwood Richmond, 30. Isn't it joy to read this? No. 13th plays 18th. Have you ever seen Jiggle or a Sunday? The pie has started their run. This would be an upset. Richmond can't win that. So I'll take Collinwood. I still like Collinwood. I still think you're going to read them off. There's something about them that, I don't want to be flawed, but they just don't give up. They're other than last week. Actually, they've given up the last one. I'll probably want to talk a bit. Collinwood win and they're not pretty much. If they didn't have a happy coach, everyone would be seriously walking all over. He's not happy internally. Let me tell you. Sydney vs Bulldog SCG. Sydney a bit shaky. This cracking game, cracking game. Two of the best midfields up against each other. Rory Lobb on five. The favorite. I'll tip Sydney. I'll tip Sydney. They've been costly over the last month. Have they ever? The last game of the round is in Adelaide. It is the Adelaide crows taking on Hawthorne. Everyone's second favorite team. Yeah, Hawthorne. I've got to stop believing in them now. They're good. I'll hide the crows win because that'll help Melbourne's chances. But I think Hawthorne might get it done, which is a championship world idea because the turnaround from Round 4 to where you are now is astonishing. Yeah, exactly right. They lost their first five.
