Welcome back to Scotty and Goss big game tonight. It is game three of the state of origin series. So they're off to Suncorp and it's the Queensland morons taking on the New South Wales, please. James Sullivan here to talk rugby league. James, good morning. Goss, Scotty, how are we, boys? It's game three. Have we got any further? Yes. I love that he saw because I tell you what, there's two states, especially that are absolutely consumed in this and, and it might, it's going to be an absolute ball terrace, all because it's going in his equal money. Well, it is and that's been the big thing, hasn't it? Then when you look at it and gamble responsibly, as Goss told us every week. Yeah, New South Wales with $2, 10, when the obviously betting open for going through. And it's been that continual drift, that drift, we all know what happened in game one. And obviously with the send off and, you know, it's the funny thing about it. We did say New South Wales were in one, most of those stats from game one, but not the game, of course. And then going to, wow, that first half, Queensland blown off the map. But can, can New South Wales replicate it? That's a big thing because we know what the record says up at Suncorp, boys. So yeah, now bring it on. Hey, did I see that New South Wales were actually calling to return the drive down Caston Street? You know, Caston Street for people who don't know is just where it all begins. All the pregame is there and it is on for young and old one sides. While three-quarter visits were owned. There's a couple of safe pubs for some blue supporters to go to. But when the team bus came comes through there, it's bordering on riot type material when the New South Wales bus goes through. Were they calling to do that again? They were. Yeah, Michael Maguire made an inquiry to see, can we get the bus going back? Because as you say, years ago, the boys have walked out of the Caston and they like wasting their Queenslanders. So they used to throw things at the bus, you know, throw the beers. And and Mag just, you know, I really think Mag's new Scotty that the police would say, come on, it's 2024. We're not going to be that stupid. But it didn't happen. But we'll just let it all happen inside that stadium tonight. And the big thing is, it's a tough gig. You go to Suncorp. It's hard to win. See, do you reckon that's, that was basically not, you know, in the result. But do you reckon that's like a message saying, hey, we're not scared. We're not scared of anything that you've got to throw at us and we'll take it all on. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Whatever you want to throw. Well, I think that mental about Suncorp, you know, years ago, teams were worried about going there. And if you look at the N.A. Rel at the moment, teams enjoyed playing there. And that's what Michael Maguire has done. He's got this bunch of blokes together and said, let's just get up there. And the unusual thing, Scotty and Goss, this week, it's all been quite adequate, isn't it? It's eerily quite. He's bunkered down, Billy Slater, and even over here, we haven't heard much about origin the last three days from the players, what I'm saying, from the, not the players, but from the respective sides. So, yeah, let's hope the cauldron lights up tonight. Mate, there's been, you were saying that teams don't worry about going there. What a thought it would be a fortress. But there's, you know, here's some info for you, mate. There's been 13 deciders at Suncorp, Queensland of 110, and New South Wales, one two, and there's been a drill. It's all stacked for them arounds. Oh, 100%. And that's that origin, you know, that build up. And Billy Slater, he said there's ruffled this week. And he got ruffled again yesterday, saying there's a little bit of tension between Serwin Cobbo and the coaching staff, in particular, Billy Slater. So they're the little things, but you're right about that. That's that's massive, isn't it? But that's what they're there to boot stats. Maybe you give me, tell me, so I'm watching tonight. You tell me, what does Queensland have to do really well to win? And what does New South Wales have to do to really well to win? Yeah, well, the big thing, we'll start on Queensland. And there's one thing through this series. They've gone down the short side, Scotty. And that is, that's a great question you ask me, mate, because that's one thing you can watch and really, really work out. Stephen Criton's been caught twice this year in game one by Ben Hunt, down that short side and game two by Tabio Alfredel. And the one big thing with this Queensland back line, they have some speed. And watch down that left edge. That's the big that's where I think they'll take. You've got Tommy Deden, the hammer and Holmes, Pongar. That's the big thing. And Caitlin Pongar's back in this Queensland side. Where Billy Slater uses it is so important because you talk about players that can play Origin, Pongar plays well in every game. New South Wales, the big thing they've done well in the first two games is in particular game two. Daily Cherry Evans kicking game has killed New South Wales in the park. But the back three, Edward's low-max and Pongar were outstanding, bringing them back. And then that back row might might Criton, Lea Martin and Cameron Murray in games too were unbelievable. So that's the big one for me. Queensland have to stop Cam Murray. He did some things. Here's one for you, Scotty. He's the number thirder. You watch his ability to get between defenders, which creates extra bodies in the defense, so the quick play, the ball bang. They're the things you can watch. Opens up some holes on the outside. I really like it. I really like it. Listen to you go. Some of us enjoy the game. I enjoy the game. It's not hearing it coming out of your lips. I'm listening to Joe Sullisallen. All of a sudden the outside game is being opened up. Mate, I'm a student of the game. I understand it just be better than you. It's OK, mate. You've got your strengths and I've got mine. Do you want to ask a question about the game? No, I just... You've got no. Who wins a deal? Scotty will say who wins. Yeah. That's all the listeners want to know. Who wins? Yeah, who they backing in. Are you going to put something together for us as well, Sull, for a risk to make it just a little bit more entertaining? Well, I'll always do, don't I, my friend? That's a big problem. I'm going to stick with the same three blokes. We've got a bit of money out of game, too, but... I'm going to know in New South Wales, 1 to 12, you get $3.05 at our friends and lab roads. But, mate, the try any time. I'm going to go and what we've done in games one and two, first try and any time. So, Stephen Crichton is $15 and $2.80. Jeremiah, then I, is $19 and $3.30. Angus Crichton's $21 and $3.70. Now, link them all up. This is where we have the most fun, isn't it? You link them up in the same game, Multy. You ready? You ready, Scotty? Yeah, yeah. I'm sitting down. I'm sitting down. We're going to be at $45, so that's nice. Link them all up and have some fun. And, man of the match I've mentioned in, $23, let's go Cam Murray. Yeah, OK. We're keeping an eye on all of those things on our socials ahead of state of origin. Tonight starts at, what, five past six at our time, I think, kick off? It does indeed. So, are you saying, you're going to back in New South Wales, though? Yeah, I am. Yeah. Yeah, 1 to 12. Queensland Golden Point. Queensland Golden Point, Dally Cherryham. Yeah, I am very careful because Gloucester, Diamond, is on at the moment, too. Right? He's absolutely on. I'll tell you what, what's that, $80, I think, to draw something like... Imagine that, Michael. Gosh, you could be a god tomorrow morning. No, I'm a god today, don't matter what you want. Didn't I, too? Oh, yeah, I'll tell you what, there'll be no one going to work in Brisbane tomorrow, if that's the case. Ah, good on you, Jimmy. Hey, mate, can't wait. I know you're incredibly excited about it. We do love it. We love state of origin, I only joke it. It's one of the great sporting events and Games3 Decider. It doesn't get any better than that. We look forward to watching it tonight and we always appreciate you talking rumble-like. Absolutely, boys, chat tomorrow and stay safe.
