Honestly, when I started this, I thought I'd only have to do like four of these. Kelly, you agree? Yeah, yeah. He's in my votes. Yeah. And I had the headphones and TK certainly got one of them. 29 disposals, kick the goal as well, a part of what was a very vibey performance, albeit they didn't get the win. Tim, appreciate your time. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Thanks for having me. Thank you for coming on. How different? Is the feel with Jared Scofield, it looked like the shackles were off, so to speak, from an outsider looking in. Probably no different as a player, but just give us your opinion. Yeah, look, obviously, it was a different build-up considering, I guess, the week we had, obviously, the news with Simo, and I guess all the boys are sort of wrapping their heads around what it's going to look like moving forward. So I wouldn't necessarily say that the shackles were off, but it was more about responding the right way, and obviously digging deep for Simo, and just the week we've had, obviously, coming off a poor performance, and like I said, the week we had. So, yeah, look, you hate to say honorable losses, but that's pretty much what it was in the end. Yeah, correct, the Brisbane, not too good on the day, but proud of the boys, and just the way we folded out. The last week when the news came through that Adam was going, we had Bailey Williams on air, and Bailey said, I asked him about the pressure on Adam Simpson, and what responsibility did the players take, and he said full responsibility. Can I ask you now, what responsibility as a senior player with that playing group do the Eagles take for Adam Simpson's departure? Not saying total responsibility, but how much do you take, boys, we've got to take some of the heat here. What's your view? Absolutely. I think Bailey's comment on four responsibilities is pretty true, and at the end of the day, we're the ones out there trying to implement the game plan, and the style of play that he's putting in front of us. So, ultimately, in the end, as players, and as our playing group, we feel as if we loomed down, for sure. Hey, Tim, early in that game on the weekend, Jesus was ugly in the middle. One stage, and he was 13-1 senior clearances, but you should turn it around on the back of your hard work as well. Personnel didn't change that much, so what changed the dynamics? I think it finished 15-13, so it was an incredible run that you had, as I said, led by you. What changed them, because the personnel didn't change that much. Yeah, just little details. Little details that I can't really dive into too much, but it just basically started being a little bit positive. You're a pilot, and just playing smarter, so we're sort of getting beat by what we know. We usually do a pretty good job at scouting the opposition, and that was no different with Brisbane, obviously, with the quality of players that have gotten there. So, we're just getting beat by what we knew, so we just had to tighten up a few things, and it looked a little bit more arsed. Yeah, we definitely spoke about our half-time, we'll certainly letting the boys down, and games will want to turn it down, so it's a critical us boys to fight it back and sort of even up in that area, but hearing those things sort of been different, have we started that way. Charlie Cameron just got given three weeks there, appealing this tackle on, of course, Liam Duggan, who went off with concussion, and now misses the trip to St Kilda. As a player, he must be, take, take the teams out of it, gee, that's a tough call on Charlie Cameron, is it not? I mean, no slinging motion, just a front on tackle, falls to ground. As a player, are you confused by what's going on with the decisions? Yeah, not going to lie, I definitely am, you know, and certainly feel for Duggan. We're certainly going to miss him this week, and your moral account, he seems to be fine, but it didn't look like there was anything too malicious into it. And from my office, you know, most people's perspective looking at it, and certainly mine, it sort of just looked like a bit of a bad accident. So, yeah, it's a bit of a hard one, yeah, three weeks, I'm not too sure. He's ridiculously stiff, to be honest with you guys, and I said you'd probably get nothing, but that's why we're the experts, TK, and this is why we're coming on your career, and how you're playing, and that sort of jazz, we have valued opinions. Yeah. I mean, I loved Ruben Jimmy across half back, I thought, and I've been watching him over the last year and a half, it's been, he does get a little lost in the middle because he's a ball hunter. He goes after footy, and he loses his man a little bit, he's crossed half back, I thought he's run, and his accountability was top notch. Yeah, it definitely was, you know, and Ruben's shown in the past, I think he's, I think when he first started playing and came into the team last year, he sort of was that defender who could also come in and meet, and then, you know, obviously with his, with his hunt and his contest work, he sort of became more of a permanent insider, sort of wind player, and yeah, he just showed that, you know, he's a bit of a Swiss army knife, he can sort of do it all, and he's one who's, you know, every day just getting better and better and, you know, probably one of the, already probably up there for one of the best trainers at the club and just the way he approaches, you know, the lifestyle of it all, and yeah, he had a big impact for us on the weekend and, you know, hopefully he can continue to grow in that area as well. Tim Kelly, our guest, you take on St. Kilda at Marvel on Saturday, this is, you are absolutely living certainies. You take goals, you win the game against him, take the game on, don't get caught up with this Ross Lyon sort of lockdown stuff, TK, we need to go at it hard, take him on, make it a shoot out. Did you coach Scoey at Subaru at all? No, coach Scoey, he coached after me. He coached after me. I'm just saying the Goss' opinion is probably cherished by Scoey, so maybe take some of these oddies. Take the game on, Tim. Yeah, mate, look, I'm hearing you. We certainly, you know, that's, you know, I think that's what the fans want to see and, you know, although it might look like it at times, we certainly are trying to play that way as well. So, yeah, I think you need to get a few things wrong. I think it starts in the contest, play the game in your front half and then you've got all the energy in the world for taking it on, you know, at times, I think, you know, if we don't get those two things right, you know, you're really trying to start playing the game, start the game from your back half and when you've been defending all day, sometimes you just don't have the energy for it. So, I'm hearing you, but I think it starts in the contest. We get that right, play the game, our front half and then, yeah, you know, all the options are on. So, 25 goals to 22, I think the Eagles fans don't care, but if you lose 8 goals to 7, we care. Yeah, I'm hearing you, mate. It changes their whole show on Monday, so if you could not be too selfish, it's all about it. And if you look at the board and it's an armrest, so can you just go, what did Gosson Scotty say? Yeah, I take it on, boys, take it on. Throw the marbles. I take it on. Exactly. With the run that you threw up on Sunday, I mean, you were running covering the granders as well, and I think I've seen you cover the ground for some time. You must be feeling good about your own rig, too. Thanks, mate. Yeah, look, I've had a bit of a tough run this year, sort of as early as I really got my way from a body perspective, and, yeah, since about round three, I think I've been dealing with a little bit of cartilage damage and bone stress in my knee. So, I've been able to front half each week, but from preparation point of view, hasn't really been ideal. So, for a while there, up until I did a hit, flex the strain, it was pretty much minimal preparation during the week. Yeah, let my knee settle because it's well up a fair bit, and then sort of roll out on game day and have a crack. So, I've been okay, but I've been a little bit below my best. So, the last couple of weeks, I've actually felt like I'm starting to get on top of this and, more importantly, from preparation point of view, had an end again, feeling really good. So, hopefully that can continue. Last one. We've only got 30 seconds left. Liam Ryan, the Rugs salesman, doing some great stuff there. Have you used some... Well, I've learned some great stuff. No, I'm sure it's great. That's terrific. That's Liam Ryan right there. You can also buy my rugs. Yeah, I've all loved me rugs, as you know. Have you given him any advice in regards to his commercial acumen? No, I haven't given him any advice. He looks like a natural... That's a good teammate right there. He's a beauty. Yeah, he's a natural. He doesn't, he's not white. And that's what we love him. That's what we love him. We do. Yeah. Now, he's... He's a little buddy. He's broken. He's carpeted. And we think as well. So, yeah. Now, I think I'll be getting that boss from here, mate. Nice work. Hey, TK. All the best against the Saints. Thanks for joining us today. Been fun chat. No worries. Thanks, guys. It is a little ripper. Tim Kelly in great form and good to hear that he's in peak fitness.
