But what I do want to make mention this morning is, I think Dean Cox has a role to play in the next 24 to 48 hours. A significant part of the footy landscape going forward. What's your need to do? I think Dean Cox must come out and make a comment about his coaching future now. Because I, and now, weather privately, you know, it's a deal between, and West Coast aren't going to say for one minute right now that he's our man yet, but there is little doubt he is their man priority one. There is no contrary to whatever you want to hear on radio stations, including this one. There is no written contract between Sydney and Dean Cox, John Longmire and Dean Cox. There is none. Is there a verbal? There's an expectation. There's no verbal. There's an expectation that they want Dean Cox to stay. If John Longmire doesn't coach on past 2025 or coaches on for three more years, they still want Dean Cox to be the next coach. Now, that's how he only goes back on to Dean Cox to decide whether he wants to stay as the two I see and knock back any of our opportunities, i.e. the West Coast. For me, if Dean Cox right now is hell-bent on standing firm in his position as an senior assistant at Sydney and loves Sydney so much, the town, the city, the family's happy and the footy club he wants to coach, he should come out right now and just say, "I'm out. I'm not interested. Thank you. I'd love my old football club. I would love to be a senior coach one day, but my focus is purely on staying in Sydney for this year and the years to come and end all the speculation for him, for Sydney, for Sydney fans, for the Eagles, for Eagles fans." There's five elements and I think Dean holds the with him. I agree with that point. If he wants to stay and he doesn't want to be the coach of the West Coast Eagles, I think you should say that. What if he does want to be the coach? Silence is different. He should say, "I think that's the obvious one." The more he's silent, I don't just lend itself to speculation and... Is it a distraction to Sydney? I don't think it's a distraction to Sydney that your assistant coach is looking to be a senior coach. No, I don't. That's why I don't think he'll actually come outside that, but I'm with you on the fact that. I can't wait seven weeks for Dean Cox and then finals, mate. I just can't. Well, I'm with you if he has no interest in West Coast job and he's going to stay in Sydney, I believe he should rule himself out right now. Agree. He might have actually even done that with the Eagles, who knows, but I agree with that bit. But if he does want the job, I don't think it's as important to say anything. I agree. If he wants the job, let it play out. No, no. No, no. So I think that's silence. I think he needs to say, "I've got a job to do right now as a senior assistant and we're in a premiership race and I've got a job to do, but absolutely going forward, I would like to go through the process at West Coast." Sure. There will be no process to go through. If Dean Cox is approached to coach the West Coast Eagles, the process is done. Well, that's, yeah, that's ballsy. I'd rather see them interview and, you know, no, no, Box has been thrown up and I know, you know, they should make a phone call to Chris Scott's management. Yeah, all that. You know, proven senior coaches. Yep. And then decide whether they want to go down that path of a proven senior coach because they're in a hole. It's not about that. And they've got to find someone with, I believe, a track record of developing players and rebuilding a list. Or do they go down the path of we need to find the next great Mcrae? And is that Dean Cox it might be? Or is it Ash Anson it might be? Is it Jamie Graham it might be? So they've got to, whatever leave it, they pull it's a tough one. Dean Cox, one way or the other, needs to make a statement. Okay. There needs to be some comment. Happy where I am right now, but yes, I'll look at the Eagles job if they're prepared to wait. Then it's over to West Coast to decide whether they want to wait because they're going to move. Because that's hard work too. It's 11 or 12 weeks. It's expected it need to be going very deep if not all the way through September, late September. Correct. And then that takes away their whip hands they have at the moment of being the first ones looking for in the market. Correct. Then yeah, do they go, we get to Coxy on October the 1st and say, yeah, you're going to be a coach after everyone else has already locked away their pieces. And you want to make, you want to make calls? Oh, yes. Man, you wouldn't be a CEO for quits. Alrighty. Good luck, Poggy. And I agree with Kane Corns last night, he did make very brief mention that he believes that if Dean Cox is a no, and that Sydney don't tie up John Longmire, the next call you make is John Longmire. Wow. If Sydney don't lock in John Longmire, because they don't want to lose Dean Cox, Longmire goes like, okay, so you're not going to give me a three-contract extension. West Coast go, we'll give you five or six years. I'd be really, really confident. Really confident that John Longmire won't coach after coaching Sydney.
