Just say that, come on, come on, come on. - Well, I'm not, but I'm an addict. I'm only just repeating what you're telling me to say. - Yeah, well, this is important, but when you say, I'm not, it doesn't feel to me that you've grasped the problem of your addiction. - Get on with it. - Are you back? What am I meant to have been addicted to? - Well, social media in X, you're back on it. - Twitter, he's back on it. - You're back. You're back here. You've made a big song and dancing, you're off it. And you've been, and mate, we've seen changes in you. You've been a beautiful human being to be around. We've seen changes. I'm worried you've fallen off the wagon. Are you officially back or was it just a responsible responsibility you have as a journalist? - It was a huge moment on the social media landscape, yes, that they want to happen. But it was more concerning. It was concerning for us. - Like one thing I must say, which flies in the face of what I'm trying to get to, is that it was a joyous occasion, because a lot of people were joyous. And they got off the attention of slaughtering another organization. And they came back here. Something was good in the world again. You were breaking stories and you did it on X, which you'd sworn off. Are you back? Have you had a relapse? - We love you, but we need to know, is this going to be a consistent thing? - Is this a problem again? - Yeah. - It's gonna be a problem. - If it's a little blip, that's okay, they happen. - Everyone has setbacks, mate. - Are you referring to my post yesterday? - Yes, you returned to X. - I've been gone for two weeks. - Which was more than most people thought. - Yeah. - Nice with you. - I hadn't tweeted or re-tweeted or liked or-- - It was very good. - I ain't thinking he had over and under as at August. - I've got been covered. Cheers, the edit on this audio is going to go viral. Okay, it's been taking small samples very, very nervous. - Hey, hey, hey, hey. Don't deflect, mate. Are you okay? - I am fine. - Are you back officially or-- - I posted yesterday. - Can you read out my post? - Yeah. - Just so people will know what we're talking about? - You said, Adam Simpson has coached his last game for the West Coast Eagles. He will not coach a fair ball game this weekend. Jared Schofield will be at the helm. The Brisbane on Sunday. - Yep. - Bit of a ash brassle there with the V, which I like. Shout out to Ash. - So just to clarify, I didn't, um, respond to any of the responses. I posted it. I need your exercising away from scratch. - Tell you, from Scarborough, listen to Huey and Jewy go. Goss, obviously, mates with Woodcock. - Oh, shit! - Oh, whoa! Hey, take that back right now. - You've said some real shit on this show. - Take that back right now, spot on. - I think what Goss is addicted to is breaking news, baby. (laughing) I get a feeling this is gonna come to an abrupt end. Let me enjoy your moment. Just letting the young ones know how to go about it properly. - Conversation I had very brief yesterday with someone who's connected to the Adam Simpson departure. (laughing) - How close? Wait a minute, wait, wait, hang on in and just let it sit. Is, I'm just staying close enough to the great band on his departure. 'Cause he might need to sell the house. (laughing) If he needs to sell up and look-- - Oh, I got a second, did you? Did the original text yesterday start with, "I can't believe how they're treating you on the way out. This is crap, you deserve better than that. You're a great human being, I love you." By the way, if you are moving back. (laughing) - Yeah, there's a bit of that. (laughing) - I do, when I first start. - I'm available for a free no obligation. - A praise appraisal, let me prop it in. - What happened was, we're not first put out to all my contact list of close to me people when I was very selective of who I sent it to, but I sent it to everyone. I said, "Look, as you know, I've taken this turn "in my career, so I'm now going down the real estate path. "No obligation whatsoever, but if you'd like me "to send you updates in regards to price appraisals "or in your area, please don't hesitate." - Here we got that. - Yep, and so you got that? - Yeah, but-- - So I got, you got that? - Yeah. - So then, very few said, "No." They said, "Yeah, no worries, God's in it." I understood it was just probably making me feel good. - Yeah, I don't. - Adam's response was, "Pass." (laughing) - Is it safe for now? (laughing) - It's not safe now, Adam. You might be needing me. - I'm crawling back now. (laughing) - Anyway, um-- - Well, you haven't been ahead of the curve before everyone. - Thank you, yeah. - Well done, you've done, you've gotten the old school, you've got your little reporter's hat on. - I've enjoyed it. Well, I haven't enjoyed it at the expense of Adam, but I've enjoyed being sort of, so the bottom line, so let me just say, why I went on to XS today to post after two weeks and saying I wasn't. There was a bit of me that says, "Don't break here, don't break the cycle." But the fact is that we actually had no vehicle, because we weren't on air locally. Dwayne was speaking to Shane Castley, who was Adam Simpson's manager. - Right. - And we got pipe coming up after seven. - Beauty. - And when Shane, and Dwayne was very much asking Shane Castley, Adam Simpson's manager, is he going to coach one more game? Is he going to coach one more game? Shane obviously hadn't had that conversation with Adam, fresh, and I had got mailed that Adam was not, quote, not going to be coaching, and where I got that from is between you and me. But the bottom line is he chose not to coach. So I waited, 'cause I didn't want to embarrass Shane Castley, and I said he didn't want to embarrass Dwayne. So I waited, but I thought, what do I do now? I'm sort of stuck in a rock and a hard place. - I have no platform. - I've got no platform. So I thought, send. And I sent it, knowing there was going to be push back, and I know you're only being lied hard about it, but Caine Coron's is going down. Oh, yeah, back. Oh, I'm going to look like a genius. I'm going to die out on it. I mean, get grow up, you little Sather strain. Get in the way. You know, serious. - Did you press send, put your phone in and run out the front door? - I didn't, I haven't looked at it, but I've sort of had a, just sort of see the bit of the current that's out there, but there's been plenty going on. And a lot of people, as Chris mentioned, there's a lot of people that have gone, "Oh, look Caine, Tim goes, "he's a fair guy next. "I can't give you." - All right. - That's a bit of a call. How are you? - It's just a bit of fun, mate. - It's a bit of fun. - That's exactly what it is. Speaking of fun, we're not going to have that much today, because we are going to dissect a little bit of what took place yesterday. Nick O'Hurton is going to join us. Of course, the WA Golfing legend, part of this talk birdie to me, podcast with Mark Allen. And it is Scottish Open, leads into the Open Championship and the Olympic Games. And of which WA has, I think, three of the four players. Minh ji lei, Minh woo lei, and Hannah Green. - Yeah, we're on. - So Richie Smith. - It's a good one. - Richie Smith's going to be over there for the Olympics. - There's a golfing maker. - Exactly right. - Dwayne Russell after seven. And Michael Walters will join us. Also, after seven 30, the female lockers head to Tassie. We've got a great reaction from Cam McKenzie, the little Frenchman. - Yeah, he was very, very good. - He was very, very good. - He's become our favourite Hawthorn player. Ian from Carne Up Morning Fellers, just leaving the casino. Is it coming home? Yes, they've got through to the final of the year. - He ends up going to work this morning. - England. - Yeah, I'm filthy about only because I've just loved watching the Netherlands supporters. I haven't seen a ball kick an angle to be perfectly honest with you. I've seen some highlights, but I've just been watching the Netherlands supporters do their song and have an absolute ball. It's been great to watch on socials. You wouldn't have seen it. - Oh, no. - You've been watching. - I've been watching lots of socials. I still have other social outlets. Oh, I've got Facebook. I've got Instagram. I've got TikTok. I don't use TikTok. - There you go. I haven't. - But you're on TikTok, aren't you? - No, no, I don't. - Well, you should be. You had to be on TikTok. Otherwise, you don't get a contract extension. - Special. It's starting to count. I'm coming right now. - Thirteen, twelve, fifty, five, zero, four, eight, seven, seven, three, six, seven, three, six. Is the number? - That'll be massive. That'll be massive. Chris will give us that update, but take it on Spain, England. - Yeah. Oh, how about that? Well, I've got feet in both camps, apart from them. 'Cause I've got a brother who's married to a Spanish lady and got Spanish kids who lives in Spain. - Barcelona? - Barcelona. And I've got two sisters who are married to two Englishmen. - Who are you American for? - Yeah. - Spain by a long way. (laughing) - It will be easier to tolerate if they win. I don't speak to any of them anyway. So, I don't matter. (laughing) - But as far as fans go, there's a lot of-- - No, no, no, no, my brother in Spain. - I'll go mental. - My brother in Spain and his wife will be very calm and very measured, win-lose or draw. - Yeah. - The two brothers-in-law will have a horror 12 months if they need to get rolled in the final. (laughing) - I tell you, the soccer fans that, as a general rule, they're awesome to watch. I love the excitement, the singing and all that sort of stuff. And you have to sing when you're game is pretty boring. But yeah, but they make it entertaining. It's the flair-toting flogs that ruin it for everyone, who are in the violent lunatics, but they are a very small minority. Every sport has got some flogs in it, but they do make it entertaining. So, it'll be fun watching the barmy army going berserk all across person, during the final, won't say. - Football fans are very clever. I don't know, as long as they stay in their lane in regards to some of their comments and stuff, and some of it gets a little bit deep, but I think it's an entertainer. I think it's entertaining, I agree with you. I think they do a pretty good job. Hey, Adam Simpson coached his last game, and said he won't be coaching this weekend. He was on Talking Footy last night. - Yes. - The Channel 7 Show, which is fantastic, and-- - Tim's Little Show. - Tim's Little Show, and James Bracer, of course, has an association with Simo. So, he popped his head up on The 7 Show and had this to say about the decision not to coach this weekend. - Yeah, I'll bug it that one up. Pike and I spoke beforehand, and he sort of asked if it was on the table. And I wasn't quite sure at the time, and yeah, I think I might have projected the wrong message there, 'cause I wasn't really keen at the time, and I wasn't as clear as I should have been. So, by the time I got to the press conference, I reckon that was I made that one. 'Cause after your press conference, you go home and just slip straight into a different mode and having match committee and press conferences and pre-game and post-game and all those things, I think whilst I could have done it, I just don't think I needed to. So, really keen to get to the ground. Mainly for the fans, I really appreciate what the members have done for our club, and so I'd love to acknowledge that pre-game, I don't know what tossed the coin or something, but yeah, I'll get out of the way pretty quickly. - Good on him. I think it's fantastic. And he's only ever spoken, glowingly, about the football club and where his future lies right now. And it's clearly going to coach somewhere else. - Oh, I think so, and I think he'll be good somewhere else, too. - North Melbourne or the Bulldog's assistant? - Yeah, and that has to be seen. Because Samo's not a ego-driven, he's not one of those coaches. I think he'd be more than comfortable to say. As he said, yes, they're a luff football. - Yeah. - And to go and say, "Okay, well, what's a senior coach?" And I'm going to be an assistant coach. But he should wear he picks, 'cause I think he'll be sought after. - No doubt. - Because he'll wear he picks. 'Cause if he still has aspirations to be a senior coach, he's going to pick wisely, don't you? So he's going to pick somewhere where we'll be all over again. Oh, he reckons that bloke's under pressure. He's going there, no. But I think he won't be lost to the game. And I think that's a very, very good thing. I said yesterday, I said, "I don't... "For the last three years, because we sit here, "we understand fully what they've gone through." And again, we'll say that we've said it for the thousandth time. A lot of it's self-inflicted. But it's not the coach's fault, per se. So the list management, injury-wise, not so most fault. So I don't think his legacy was ever tarnished. From the outside, looking in, if you just looked at win loss, you go, "Oh, my God, that's ordinary." But there's reasons for it. No excuses, reasons. And so I don't think he's tarnished. And I don't think he'll be absolutely welcome to somewhere real quickly. - There was a lot of conversations over the last few days. And there's been some commentators who've basically said that there is a written contract or a handshake deal between Dean Cox and John Longmire, that he'll take over going forward from the Sydney swans, some saying that it's written in concrete and he's definitely not coming back to Perth. Well, John Longmire was asked on Sports Day with Kane and Jared Healy on SCN Melbourne last night about this very question. - Are you supportive of someone in Dean's position? And he wouldn't be the first to try and apply for a senior job and go through that process, while still trying to win a premiership at the club that they are at. Adam Kingsley, I think, has done that in the past. It must be excruciating to do that and do both jobs well. - Yeah, it can be a challenge, but we're about supporting our people, whether they're players of obviously in the size of a candy case or our staff member, any staff member that would like to better themselves, we're about supporting our people. And at the same time, they're making sure that we do the job at hand. And absolutely, over the moon, confident with Dean Cox's ability to be able to do that, he's been fantastic for us. - So he didn't one way or the other. The question wasn't asked, has you got a deal in place, but categorically, there's no deal in place, categorically. They might want him to stay and they might want to think that that's the future going forward that he's of the capable replacement. But I don't think Dean Cox is going to be sitting there waiting to think, when's John going to stay or when? But what it does do, it does force his head to either resign John Longbye or John Longbye to speak and say, I'm going to stay beyond my contract. - I think Sydney are a bit more stable than that. I don't think that they let things get to knee-jerk reaction sort of status. I think they're pretty open. They're pretty honest. And as I've said before, as a players point of view, not many, not many of them leave. And I think they're pretty comfortable with their communication around probably horse and cocksy on where they both sit and what the plan is. And I don't believe that anything's written in stone. There's no doubt about that. I think there's an understanding that if horse was to retire, then Dean Cox would be his replacement. But I'm going to do some investigative work, 'cause you've inspired me. And I'll have a stance on it, hopefully, surely. - Do you remember McGovern driving back from Melbourne because he couldn't fly, so his wife-- - Right, do you reckon he stopped at the Pinnong Windmill Museum? I should have got to him. You should have told him 'cause it's a beautiful spot. - He was trying to get back in time to support Simo and the footy club in this difficult time, which I think is absolutely unbelievable. So his wife flew to Adelaide. He drove from Melbourne to Adelaide. - And picked up a roller and then to come home, and he's still going to be there for Simo's farewell games, whether we're tossing the corn, whatever that may be, which is absolutely brilliant. - Oh, he does, that'll be great. - Yeah, toss the corn? - Yeah, it's never been number four. I hope he does. Well, I mean, yeah, there's not just a pee into him in the crowd. - No, no, he'll be on the ground. - Yeah, good. - He'll be on the ground. - Well done. Well, I'm west coach, well done, Simo. - Brilliant. - What else will happen? - What do you hate? - What else will happen? What will he do? Will he do a lap? Just toss the corn or just walk? - I hope he doesn't. No, he won't do it. - Well, they pull out the inflatable again and he'll walk out of that and wave. What will he do? - Well, I'll tell you what we'll do. - What will he do? - He's gonna get a break away. He's gonna clarify something, because there was a lot of poop going around on social media when he walked in and there was a lot of people. I've heard what he said and this is what he said. So when he walked into the press conference, we tried to clarify yesterday and a lot of people were listening and not listening. He walked past Bailey Williams, we'd had it on the show literally three hours before and then Harley Reid was there. Daisy Pierce was in front of them and he made a comment as he was walking with Don Pyker and also Porphyt's Patrick. And he basically had a go and I said, to my knowledge, it was to do with the Mustaka and shaving it off. Now there was some congestion towards Bailey or was it to Harley? This is what he said last night on Talking Footy. It's embarrassing for whoever come up with the speculation. I don't know how it's been portrayed, but he looks like goose off top gun. He's just not a good look. So I said, mate, you've got to get rid of that mustache. And that's what I said. So, yeah, I'm not sure how that's been portrayed. Just shows you what can happen, you know, as much as you enjoy the connection with the media. - Yeah, it was completely out of control and people trying to make way more. Do you think Adam Simpson would walk into a press conference to announce that he's leaving? - Live it. - Live it after already speaking to the playing group. - No, no. - And he's walked by in front of full voice of media, cameras, snappers, family, friends, players, staff, and make a quip to a star player on his, or a player on his left-hand side, walking in. It just doesn't happen like that. Give people no credit. - You've had your say. - I know. - And then sit up at the desk and go, yeah, it's a mutual decision. We both agreed on this and it's, I love this football club and I love the players, blah, blah, blah. No, they're not the director. And it just, people trying to make something that's not there. It's just, sometimes we just, everyone gets a little, you carry them away, y'all. - Tom, are you right? Driving from Melbourne to Perth to support Simo. Sounds like Simo didn't have the players, huh? - No, he's lost gov. He's absolutely lost gov. Gov hates him. Gov, he was flying. He was driving back in time to tell him to have off and to make sure that he was leaving. - That's what's exactly what's happening. - There's been a big show of support for Adam Simpson. A lot of people will say this and we're gonna get, I know we way over time, sorry boys, we'll get to it and break in a moment. - Are we any important things to discuss early? - Well, just say that a lot of people are saying, why didn't these players show this much support for Adam Simpson and there's been player unrest behind the scenes and the texting and all that sort of stuff. - Another beat up. - Anyway, bottom line is, Adam Simpson has coached his last game. He will be given a send off by the fans, the members. He's doing it and not reluctantly. He's not doing it reluctantly. He's doing it because he wants to say farewell and thank you. - So thank you. - He loves Perth. He loves the footy club and he will forever be a premiership winning coach. Hey, Nick, appreciate your time. We're getting serious ahead of the championship. - Yeah, good morning, guys. Certainly are. It's a big week, obviously. And I think the biggest news was Rory McElroy made an appearance after what happened at the US Open. So can't wait to see how he played. - Yeah, and he's sort of, he's jousting with a few that questioned his pattern and the like. I mean, let's go back to that. He had a chance and everyone sort of, it was a choking performance and it's not the first time it's happened. Tell us a bit about the demons inside of golf's head when you've got the chance to grab a big event like that and a dozen and you sit away for a couple of weeks and you mull over it. What's that like, Nick? - Yeah, the first two or three days are never good. You do beat yourself up pretty good and you relive every moment, basically. It's one of those things that's just hard to let go. And the only thing that's in your favor is really time. And I think in his press conference, he said, "Look, you know, the first few days were tough, but after that, he was okay." And he dealt with it. He said, "So, I have a feeling they're still there. You never forget those sorts of things. But I think the best thing for him is just to get back out on the golf course and put back to ball, so to speak. And see how he goes. - He certainly is a Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club. And this is where all the big players come to sort of play sort of this type of golf, links sort of golf in expectation of going on to Truun, of course, for the 150 second Open. A lot of blokes who play predominantly on the PGA Tour come in to do this. How much of an advantage or is it to be on the European Tour to play these courses more often? But you have a look at the lineup, Nick, and it is certainly based on most of the players coming off the PGA Tour. - Yeah, for sure. But the good thing now is with the Scottish and the Irish Open, but although that's not counting this year because they've moved it because of the Olympics, but they're playing those on links golf courses now. So it's such an advantage to play a links course before you play an Open Championship. Whereas before, back in my day, we'd go play Lock Loman, which is another American style. So you're basically going from one style to the next. So it is a big advantage for sure. And I just keep playing these links style courses. And I know that playing that often on the European Tour, to be honest, it's really, maybe at the end of the year, the Dunhill and the odd event maybe in Belgium or things like that. But most of the courses they play in Europe are parkland. So I think the Americans are tied up nicely for it. - Hey, Nick, great to talk to you, mate. This is like the queens of Wimbledon and that obviously they're playing the Renaissance Club. Do they pick a course in a lead-up event like the Open? That's similar, or really that plays similar to where they're going to play the Open. Obviously it's the course in the Open's a rural trune. How similar is the Renaissance Club to trune? - Well, I've never played there, but it looks as though it's a similar link style. You'll never get anything similar to trune. I mean, that's one of the great links courses going around. It's, you'd almost have to play Turmbree or St. Andrews or Hoelike or something the week before, if you wanted to get something similar. But they'll get the feel of the bump and runs that they have to play, the pop-buckers you've got to avoid. All the little things I'm playing in a bit of breeze, hopefully, if they can get that. So they used to do that really well in the United States where they play a tournament in Houston the week before and they'd set the course up exactly like, I guess, the week before, I guess, that we'd play the Houston Open. And guys felt like they'd already, you know, got used to the grass before they'd even gotten there. So it's a great call to put it on the Lynx course, but it's pretty hard to replicate it. - How hard is it for the Americans? I mean, you've played PGA. It is most of the courses before majors, I suppose. You can really attack that pin and it'll plop and stop. Very, very different in Europe, isn't it? - Totally different style of golf, yeah, for sure. But the one thing pro golfers are very good at is their ability to adapt very quickly. And we saw that when they came down here for the President's Cup of Royal Mail and took them a couple of days to figure the course out. But once they did, they tore it up. And it'll be the same. Some of the Americans will be up there again. It's more the creative guys, like Justin Thomas, Jordan Speeth and those sorts of players. - Who do you like, Nate? Who do you like first there were nations? And who do you see as someone who might not win the Scottish Open, but then building nicely for the big one? - Well, yeah, I would love to see Rory win the big one, be open after what happened at the US Open, obviously. But I have a feeling you'll get one of the, maybe one of the stronger European players or even someone like a Ryan Fox who's been playing in the US quite a bit this year. He loves playing him back in Europe. He had a solid result in the BMW last week and over there in Germany. So he may just pop his head up. You never know. Bobby McIntyre might be looking to go one better than last year, the Scottish crowd will be hiding, that's for sure. But at the Open Championship, it's always hard to go past the Scottish Cefla type, but I think maybe someone like a Tommy Fleetwood has a good chance this year. He's certainly good. - There's another name that a lot of people wouldn't know Nick would you would, but it's the double Glover in Aaron Rye who's come out of Europe and plays in America now. And he's in the top, almost in the top 50 in the world. Now, he's been a remarkable transformation. I thought he was just battling around the European too, the DP World Tour. He's actually having a presence. He finished top 20 at the US Open and gloves some pretty good money there as well. He's a really nice golfer that's really stepped up in more recent years. - He certainly has. Yeah, and he's from Wolverhampton, which is kind of where I'm comfortable. My mum's from as well over that way. So I actually kind of know that area well. He's a unique case. He's very much someone who's got the most out of his ability. He is a bit painful to watch though, to be honest. Pretty slow. (all laughing) - He's the Matt Miller of the World Tour. - Yeah, if you're going to play with a double blubber, you'd be part of your mum. - And you know the other dead giveaway. Whenever I see someone with iron covers on, I'm just not sure about how much it is. - Yep, absolutely bang on the money. Double glove and iron covers. I think they need to cast their net wide. Have those conversations with the likes of Chris Scott, Chris Fagan, Ken Hinkley, Luke Beveridge to see where they're at. If they're willing to come over. The thing is, we've got Chris Scott and also Luke Beveridge, their premiership winning coaches that know how to do it. And then also with Chris Fagan, Ken Hinkley, they may be at the end of their particular period that their respective clubs. But they know how to build a list from the start and be able to get to the other side. - It's a good point and I'm a little torn on it myself for whether the eagles need a tried and tested senior coach to get them through some dark times. Or the other side of the coin is every coach started somewhere, didn't they? And can you find the next great, great, Chris Scott started one of flagging his first year of footy. You know, you've got to give someone a chance to see if they are any good or not. So it's a really tough rain that they have to pour in there and they need to make sure they're pulling the right one. And then to sit down and go, do we need someone who's been there, done that broader team back from the brink? Or do we just need fresh voices with some energy and bring some life to the place? - Good on you, Darrell, thank you. Yes, and the eagles are in the box seat with this coaching search because they're the head of every other club right now in regards to what they're doing. - Which is the smart, they've done the right thing. They've done the smart thing and thankfully they've had the support of a pretty dander-worth level head of bloke in Adam Simpson to deal with as well. So they are a head of everyone. So we now know who they are. - Oh, all right. - You've like over there have been doing all you've got. Well, it breeders at press conferences telling us what little side swipe comments have been made. - Yeah. - It's been a nice, like I've been almost a person in the stalls at the circus, just watching this whole thing unfold from afar, trying to work out what now's going on. - Mate, it's been a weird one to what? - One of the most disappointing things coming from the East is that they keep saying WA media. They're putting us all in. They're just named the mobs. It's really upsetting to have their WA media bits. It's just been all being hard with the same brush here. - Even the excuses, like I heard the COVID, you guys found it really tough. You should have lived in Victoria and go, you know, we had COVID here too. The other 17 teams had COVID too. You know that. - No, you weren't the only one that had COVID. - It kills me. It kills me 'cause I came back in post and it kills me when they talk about COVID here. - You had a tough COVID, you did it all well. Good on you. - Had a tough 11 weeks to own. (laughing) - Oh, I lose that. Gosh, it's cranky. Everyone gets cranky when I say you don't know what you're talking about here. - Does that really happen, that COVID thing? - Nah, it's been interesting. So, yeah, now the code sets begins and now there's a whole heap of other clubs under pressure. So, the ripple effect is gonna be huge. So, yeah, it's gonna be an interesting landscape to watch from here. - How quickly do you think Adam Simpson will return to the coaching range? So, it won't be this year, we understand all that, but you're just hearing him speak his love of the game. You know, he's gotta tie up ends here. And as you know, Duane, I'm in real estate before. I am keen to sort of get that listing. - You've gotta get a marketing campaign going. There's a time, but of course there's a history of selling houses within three days here. So, it can be quick, it can be orchestrated quickly. - So, how long do you reckon before we see him again? And what sort of role do you think Adam Simpson could play out of football club? - Well, I think there's not that many premiership coaches that are up for grabs in a year's time. And let's face it, it'll be up for grabs, say, after a year off, as you say. There'll be a number of clubs that have a chat though, and he's got a pretty good resume. And the beauty is, he's seen it both ends. He's seen it when it's terrible, he's seen it when it's great. So, he's been able to build that listing or a premiership winner. So, he did that from Dave Dott when he walked in there. So, he's able to grab a club in that regard. I think there's been a lot of question marks about the development side of things, but I don't think that you don't necessarily need to have every string you buy. You've got other people you can bring into the club to help you in those aspects. So, no, there'll be plenty of clubs knocking on his door. As he might knock on his door, who knows? There might be that many offers that he might have to choose between two or three coming years time. Yeah, he could be a very big senior assistant, but he'd pick his club wisely, I would imagine. I just, I look at Adam, I go, does he really want to go back into the fire again and be a major leading senior coach at another club? But one would say he probably wants to do it, and would love to do it, probably in Victoria, which is his natural home. Well, you've got guys like Michael Voss, who's gone back in, you've got Nathan Buckley, who sounds like he wants to get back in. I think if it's in your blood, it's in your blood. So, that's just the way you're born. If that's you, that's you. And Adam Simpson looks like that to me. I'm talking to the people that know him well and know him better than I do. It seems like it's in his blood. So, if it's in his blood and he wants to coach your senior team again, it'll be a whole new, well, to take a turn from Damien Harbick, and a whole new set of toys to play with somewhere. You know, coaches are very protective, and some can be a little precious, too, they'd wane. So, if, would it take a pretty secure coach to say to him, "Hey, I want you to come on board as assistant here," because wherever he goes, we're all going to look and go, "Well, you obviously see he's a little weakness there somewhere, because if he wants to be a senior coach again, which we assume he does." Well, why would he have to be an assistant coach? Ross Lyon went into the media for a little while and went straight back into coaching. So, fair point. There's that option as well. He doesn't have to go and be an assistant somewhere. He can go and, oh, I did some study leave last year, so he can go and do that again. You know, I had to do his weaponry and come back, and he doesn't even have to do a year in the media. He can just go and watch Woody for a year, and then decide to go straight into senior coaching, rather than be an assistant somewhere. I don't think you should do media. There is talk already on our text line about simmering goss for breakfast in 2025. I don't think that's a good idea. I think he should stay straight and coach. He won't be paying a column for the West Australia, and willings, that probably won't happen. No, no, no, no. Well, he's not a journalist, so he probably applies. No, anyway. But I think simmering goss for breakfast sucks. I think it'll be a crap show. We have avoided talking a little bit about the West Australian and the fallout from it and their treatment of Adam and through over a long period of time. Just for me, it's there. That's their prerogative to how they want to style their newspaper and how they want to go about it. But Beck has texted in. Could you please ask Dwayne why he defended the West Australian and thought that it was nothing wrong with the treatment of Simmo? I didn't hear it, Dwayne. Did you defend this? No. Well, I don't know if I said nothing wrong. What I said is that if you're a journalist and you're going to the football every week to write a report on the West Coast Eagles, and they are losing as often as they have done and they every now and then play a game where there is a lack of effort, you've got to write that story. If you're a journalist, you have to tell the truth. If you're a broadcast, you have to tell the truth. And if they ever stop there and you're continually writing that story, it would be tough. So I'm not defending the front page. I mean, the front page is what it was yesterday. And I'm not defending whether the idea and the editor that decided that was a good idea. He knows his craft better than I. I'm not a newspaper guy. But what I am saying is that if you're a journalist and you've been writing those stories and going to the press conference, it would have been tough for you, I think, the last couple of years to continually write the story of what wasn't good enough here, what wasn't good enough there. So that's where I'm defending some of the journals as opposed to defending yesterday's front page. It would be interesting to see where media attention goes now over at the West Coast Eagles, because there was a campaign for Trevor Nisbitt and Adam Simpson. They have now both departed the system. It would be interesting to see where the focus goes on West Coast and whether the players start to take some of the heat. Do you think it's now time to turn the attention to some of the players? Or do you think that attention has already been on them? Yeah, I think that's where someone from afar can't really cast that kind of judgment on a team that you aren't so far from the circus. You guys are believing in the middle of it. I think you're a better judge of that than I. There have been times where I've wondered about whether the excuses have been valid. You know, we had plenty of people tell them that their fitness regime, where they fit enough, they didn't look like they had done the work and they told the world, "No, no, we've been doing the work." You guys don't know what you're talking about. And then a year down the track, they say, "Oh, yeah, well, maybe we weren't fit enough." It's been talking about whether their recruiting has been good enough and they've told us for a year. "Oh, don't know, our recruiting was fine. "We've got the number of players that we need. "We're going all right and then a year down the track. "The high year, maybe our recruiting could have been better." So there's all those situations that have played out that I've watched from afar and I've wondered why they haven't necessarily seen what people from the outside have probably seen as early as some of them have seen it. They've kind of denied a lot of that stuff. Now, internally, they probably thought it was true, but they kept coming out and saying, "No, no, you're wrong." So the way that whole thing unfolded for me the last couple of years has been a little bizarre. I think there was a genuine, we want to batten down the hatches and basically stick our head up and fire some shots back because I think they felt like they were under siege. And I think you're right, I think there was a lack of admission that there were problems going forward and the cliff was there and now we can see that they've gone over the cliff. Just want to say, do any of you ever been at a footy club which has been where they've been and they're not the worst team in the comp? There's no doubt, they're simply just not the worst team in the comp when all being said and done, when can you see a bounce back? And what sort of coach from your perspective is needed right now? Scotty and I have had this conversation. Scotty's betwixting between, we're unsure, you know, do we go? Are the assistant coach role, as you mentioned, or do we go the senior role? Well, you don't know until you know, that's the hard part with them. First-time coach, you look at some of the first-time coaches that we thought were going to be good, that haven't quite been good. You know, Scot, what is it, St Kilda, Mark Neuert at Melbourne? So you've got those examples, then you've got the Crave McCrae example of Collingwood. You don't know until you know, you don't know until these guys get into the role. We thought that Rosalind going back to St Kilda was probably a good idea but, you know, hasn't quite panned out this year. But it might actually prove the right idea in another year down the track. So who knows about getting a proven coach or a coach that's been there and done that before? There might be one of those out there, you might be able to steal one from another club that all of a sudden, you know, if they have a brick wall hit them in the next 12 months. So I don't think you know until you know, we can all guess and speculate as to who would be great. What I know is that a guy like Dean Cox has got a pretty good resume now. So he's got a pretty good back catalogue of being at the right club with the right guy, under the right guy, placing the heat in the kitchen a few times, at least as an assistant. So you've got a few of those guys who I think if you give them a chance, you're almost going to have the back catalogue to say, well, it was fair enough to give that guy a go. It's going to be a tough run and will be interesting to see. We might talk about that later, too, guys, whether they go the independent coaching panel selection committee or they backed themselves in to make the right decision, but we'll talk about that later. I reckon Fremantle possibly not enjoying it because of what's happening to Simmo, but enjoying it because they just have been allowed to go under the radar a little bit. They've been getting a lot of attention and they're sitting third on the ladder right now. No doubt at all, the focus will turn on Fremantle. Now, what's your thoughts on the Docker's Dwayne and how they're traveling? You spot on, Scott, it is their moment. I mean, they can actually, they can win this flag. As ridiculous as that might sound to some, it's there to be one. So Sydney has lost the last couple. If Fremantle can finish second, which is within them, then they can get the home prelim, two home finals and get to the grand final. And they might actually face a situation on grand final day where they're playing a team that's not with a home ground advantage. I mean, if they've played Brisbane in a grand final or played Sydney in a grand final, it would be different for them than playing a Collingwood or a Carlton in a grand final. So now at the time, I think Port Adelaide is in the same kind of boat right now with Adelaide down. I mean, if you can win a flag, are you always going to be a little brother? If you win a flag right now, be Fremantle. If you win a flag right now for Port Adelaide, and they're fifth at the moment, then it changes, I think, the trajectory of your club and your rivalry. And I know how big it is in the two team down. So you're right about this being a huge opportunity for Fremantle. So yeah, can they actually take it now? Can they grab it by the scruff of the neck? All right, let's get through our tips for you, Dwayne. We're going to get a breakaway and come back with our seven after seven. Collingwood Jellong starts tomorrow night, the MCG. Chad's going to carry out the moment back in town. Yeah, he did. Well, he did. He's too much to start of the year, mate, as he does. Hawthorn Fremantle, Tassie. I reckon Fremantle get them in Tassie, even though it's a top grip for Sydney, North Melbourne, SCG. Yes, Sydney. Bulldogs Carlton, Marvel, Saturday. Carlton, a bit too good for the dogs at the moment. Adelaide hosts and killed her. Adelaide. Melbourne host, Essendon, MCG, Saturday night. Yeah, massive game. Bombers are going OK. Yeah, huge. Gold Coast Port Adelaide up there in on the Goldie. Port. Oh, wow. Wow. The fortress. Wow. Wow. Richmond, G.W.S. OK, so until they actually change history, they haven't changed history. That's the issue with the Gold Coast. Richmond G.W.S.M.C.G. Giants and West Coast. You should subscribe it to the sack coach win the next week rule. Well, it's got to be a factor. I mean, the players just been a tough, graining week for them. Or will this give them the opportunity to do it one last time, to kind of sense him off in style, even though he's not coaching. Yeah, I'll go for the West Coast at home. Thanks for your time, Duane. Always like our chats. We'll hear you at 10 o'clock today. Always good to have some fun with you guys. Talk to him. He's a good man, Duane Russell, the pipe AFL nation's best in the business. And congratulations to Duane and Jared for the number one Friday night commentary in the country. I thought they were brilliant combo, don't they? Duane's brilliant list of common training for you. Host of Duane's World, 10 o'clock. You'll hear it on the S-E-N-W-A break. We'll come back seven at seven after seven. Should I say seven after seven? Thanks to Matabo celebrating 100 years of German innovation. And today's topping in the hat. Best trades, I think, of the off-season. So it is a blind range. It's just not the off-season. Not best trades of all time because it's made some really good trades over time. All right. So blind rankings to find out what it is. I reckon Scotty Cummings has played the most valuable one position game of football off-season for a while today. Oh, yeah, but he's led well. He's held it in. Good and the same replay. [MUSIC PLAYING] Sing is on the seven, a number that I love. I can count the seven colors in a rainbow up above. I can share my seven cookies for seven apple pies. Well, I read about snow and white and seven little guys, number seven. Seven after seven, thanks to Matabo celebrating 100 years of German innovation. Tell us what today's topping is because it's blind ranking. So they're in a hat. We don't know what they are. That's right. It is blind ranking the top seven, or top 14, really, because you're each doing seven. The top seven for you, off-season recruits. Just gone. Just gone. There's off-season that has just happened. So there are new clubs. This season in 2024. Storing plays at a new clubs this year in a seven split. We don't know who's in what hat. Yeah. We just got to rank in the 23, 24 off-season. OK, over 100 professional quality cordless power tools on 118-volt platform. That's Matabo celebrating 100 years. Right, our first one out of my hat has gone from the bombers to the Hawks. There's Massimo down bros here. Oh, he's had a good year. He really has. He's been one of the absolute star recruits. Hey, just don't you try to influence me. Um, he has been handy. Really handy. Don't underestimate because he's got a superstar. Don't you try and sabotage my list? Five. Oh, that is harsh. Five. Mike Jade Gresham, the man with the-- Oh, man, how good is he, man? He's got-- he does his eyebrows. He does some serious eyebrow architecture. Wouldn't have happened in my day. Anyway, Michael Brounge to do his. Right, he did have it in my day. He's right up. French ting-- done over at Chicky's Sisters place in Mount Hawthorne. Did you have a business? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, there's a big tissue over there in Mount Hawthorne. Brounge was always there. I don't think he was getting any beautician work done. Righty, I-- Jade Gresham, second woman boy. Six. Jade Gresham. Six. Six. I thought he's been pretty handy. 28 past seven years coming up. Yeah, good. Tyler Adams pies to Sydney. Hasn't been great. Well, he hasn't been horrible. He's just been a little bit in the shadows of-- That's right. --filly decent ones. That's right. He's got to be right. I'm sure there's someone who hasn't got a key. I'll put Ty in at six. Oh, that's a bit harsh. He's better than that. No. Oh, yeah. Zach Fisher, Blues to North, been really good. Yeah, he has. For Zach Fisher. OK. Four. I think Fisher. Well, I'm a big fan of this bloke. And I think he's doing a role very, very, very well. I've got Jezza. I've got Jezza Sharp. I think he's been absolutely exactly what they needed. I think he's played. Hasn't been better than Diamrozio, mate. You just don't want Diamrozio ever-- No, Diamrozio's been a star. No, he's been solid. I'm putting Jezza in it. I think he's been fantastic. I'm going to put him in at number two. Oh, you've-- Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you serious? For Ray Capogreco and with Purple Army, you are petrified of being harsh. There's no way he's been the second best. No way. I don't know who else I've got in my hat. Oh, no, you're about to find out. He's going to be looks stupid now. I think he's been terrific. Didn't say he hasn't been terrific, but he's not number two. Ben MacKay has gone from north to the bombers. I don't know, Ben. They've been good, but I don't know if he's been a real part of that goodness. I've got him in number five. Ben MacKay. Ben MacKay at four. I've got four Zac Fisher, five Ben MacKay, six Jade Gresham. I really hope I got some good ones coming. Yeah, good. Number seven for me is-- --and found his features yet, young Tyler Brockman. But he was not in at number seven. Yeah, I found my number seven right away. Brandon Thirks. Thatcher, Hatcher. Thatcher, where is his name? Thirks, Thatcher? Yeah, but that Ben goes seven, and he's lucky he's there. Lucky it's eight, it's seven at seven. Lucky we don't go to a nine at a clock and we're not in eight. He'll be in trouble. Oh. Here we go. Oh, he's me, he was-- You got your number one? Yeah, well, I don't think he's number one. I should have been number two. Oh, that's right, that's gone. Yeah, that's gone. You can probably slot in to number three. I think he's been pretty good, and maybe because I really like him too. I'm going to stick by it. Lucky Shultz has gone to the pies, and I think he's been handy in the team. Handy. He could not have-- If you've got him one, if he's having one, this is over. Metabo, we're not doing it again. Seriously? Do you have him number one? I'm out. No, I think he wanted to go. He's in there, so I think he was the record. You haven't got him at number one. I just said, if you listen to me, it's like being at home or calling on a sad day. You just don't listen to what I say. It's number three. Jesus. No tension, mate. Jack Donovan, pies to the hawks. Dam fine. Dam fine. Number two, Jackie G. Been outstanding. I love him. Number two, right over now, it says, oh, oh, man. Oh, man. Where are we going down, mate? I'm in trouble, it's either one or four for this man, and he's been good, and his team's been really, really good. Oh, who else have I got in that hat? I don't know. Michael Walt is coming up after the news. Yeah, no, well, he can wait. No, I'm sure he's not going to make a tough decision here. I think he's been really good, or more. We're getting confused with his brother. I don't know. Elijah Hollands. [LAUGHTER] We're going to put Elijah, mate. He's been handy. All right, but the last one, they had to go another one. This just could be a divide. Well, Elijah Hollands is going into number four. Tell me a bit about Elijah Hollands. Oh, he's got a brother in place. He's got some trouble, pretty handy. No, he's a good football, honey. But he bobs up here in there. Oh, does he? Yeah. He's a bob-up player, is he? He's a bob-up player. No, he's a role player. And he's a player like a-- Oh, I have food. [LAUGHTER] Uh, number three, Mark-- no, what have I got here? Yeah, number three. It's vacant. Mabia Chole, I just hope my number one is good. [LAUGHTER] My number one is good, so-- That's a lot about that. Jack Inven two. Mabia Chole three. Fisher four. Ben McEye five. Jade Gresham six. Brandon Zerk. That's a seven. What do you got? I've got Jeremy Sharpard two. Lucky Shorts are three. Elijah Hollands four. Muscle mode down. Brozio five. Tyler Adams is six, and Tyler Brockman at seven. And clearly, the number one. Top season recruit. Has been, obviously. Nah. [LAUGHTER] Obviously, I'm not happy with it. Use his nicks. Oh, well, you know what? Lee Meenerie's number one. Lee Meenerie. Yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah, you know what I mean. So you know what? Can we go back to the muscle mode, DM Rose? Really? I mean, he might be number one. You know, Elijah Hollands. Lee Meenerie's been good. He has been good. He hasn't been better than Jeremy Sharp. Consume me that he wanted to leave to go to Melbourne, because we're all the fashion brands, because he has a fashion label. That surprised me. Bells and whistles, thanks. Are you happy? Bells and whistles, thanks. Are you happy? Bells and whistles, please. Just anything would do. Oh, a drum roll. Yeah, that's a drum roll. He's excited. What have you done? Brody, Grundy number one. [LAUGHTER] [MUSIC PLAYING] Go, go, go, go, go, go. One Brody, Grundy, two. Jack Guinevin, Marvier, Chole, three. Zach Fisher, four, Ben McEiff, five. Jay Gresham, six, Brennan, two, except that. I'm telling you, I have nailed that in one to seven, in order, in order. You know what, it's your week this week. I'm giving it to you. Oh, that nothing left. One to seven. Liam Henry, Jeremy Sharp, Lucky Shorts, Elijah Hollands, Mass Mode, DM Rose, you know, Tyler Adams, and Tyler Brockwood. All right. Now what I can see. Oh, look at that, Tarbo, look at the defeated politician. Oh, I am fucking royalty. You know what, no one's going to beat you this week. Celebrating 100 years of German innovation. Bad I'm not on tomorrow. [APPLAUSE] [LAUGHTER] [MUSIC PLAYING] We've been loving hearing this song so many times this year. We'll be hearing it again. I'm sure on Saturday down at Utah Stadium, Michael Walters is joining us. The female look is superstar. Thanks to the Tukey Depo's massive clearance sale. Get up to 40% off your favorite two brands. Michael, I appreciate your time. Good morning. Good morning. Thanks for having me. Pleasure. You're one game after this weekend. You'll be one game behind the great Shane Parker on the list of games played. You'll move to 237, 52, 38. And you're not far away from being in the top four. If you play all the games and finals, you can jump ahead of Johnson and McFarlane by year's end. Oh, there you go. No, that's something that obviously-- and so you create and really look at. But it's definitely something at the back end of my career that there's no doubt that I'll look back on it. Finally, because all the hard work that I put in, but like you said, I want to play the rest of the games this year. And hopefully, I'll get you the finals. And I'll put a big smile on the heart. Hey, are you a good sub? Do you like being the sub? I mean, I don't say like. That's not the word I should be asking. But when you're sitting there and you're thinking, oh, has he done a hammy? I hope so. No, what are you thinking, Sonny? What are you thinking at the time when you're the sub? What's your mindset? I actually don't mind being the sub because you can come on. Everyone's tired and being 33. You're sort of sitting around the field whenever you come on. But on the weekend, it wasn't great. It was bloody cold out there on the change bench. I felt like an old school player. I had a blanket on. Now, some of those things where you sort of-- I'm happy to play whatever role I want to play. And I know that I've got to play aside that. That's definitely the mindset that I've got later part of my career. And like I said, the sub role, you can go on and have a bit of an impact. So I think that a lot of good players, and especially the speaking, fast players have got myself winked, keep out there and have it. [LAUGHTER] Just giving us the wink. I know I've got visuals of Sonny sitting there in an old school dressing gown. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly. [INTERPOSING VOICES] You know, Dane Reppi. Hey, so Sonny, just in regards to when you were out injured and you were coming back, were you aware of the outside noise of people going, oh, you might have to go back through Peel? Have we seen the last of Michael Walters? All these things. And it was all this type of attack. Are you aware of all that sort of stuff? Or are you comfortable knowing that one, you were probably going to come straight back in your proven fitness? And were you in consultation with the coach? Yeah, it was one of those things where, like, the outside noise you're going to hear no matter what. And you'll see to think that you're going to go through a lot without hearing someone somewhere say something. So I definitely hear the outside noise. There's no doubt about it. And to be honest with you, like, always in consultation with the coaches to ask. But really, everyone's playing their role. The president's playing their brand of foodie. And the selection is so taught at the front of the doctors and it's healthy for the free club. So I'm excited about that. I was in no mindset that I was sure that I was going to come back straight back in. I was going for anything. But like I said, with that sub-rule, I was able to play majority of the season. But then to have two weeks off through the hamstring, I put in the hard dance throughout training. And I was lucky enough that I was able to come back to the sub. Mate, I'll lose me, absolute nana. If I'll ever see you in a Peel jumper, you know that. And you've always been my favourite docker. You're aware of that as well. But I tell you, you're under pressure at the moment because I've got a full man crush on Josh Tracy at the moment. He's really nipping at you here to be my favourite docker. He is just playing outstanding football. And he just looks like the complete player at the moment. Yeah, he is. And that's all the hard work that is putting throughout the-- the off season, the free season. But also, even now throughout the week is how they're doing touch. And that's a beauty that our footy club and the coaching staff is that we're trying to build the player for the future as well. And we're not just looking at just this week. So a lot of boys are out there, seven a.m. in the morning, doing touch before our main training session, working on everything in the gym and crossing the trees, doing the eyes. And you can definitely see it out in the field. You see players stand out hating youngs and having outstanding season as well. Like I said, Josh Tracy is a massive force in the forward line. But then also his leadership is far beyond the expectations that I thought it was going to be this early in this career. I reckon, mate, when you were playing, when you were playing, I reckon that the group around you stood taller when you were out there. But are you standing taller with Josh Tracy out there? His love for the physical side of things and protection of his teammates and his hit up ball and his kicking. Is he now a guy 10 years your junior? But are you standing taller having him next to you? Oh, definitely. Because you know exactly what you're going to get when you got the race. It was just like walking up the race with Matt Douglas and also Hayden Valentine. You knew what you were going to get. And Josh Tracy, you can see the contest that he brings. He's a good mark, but also he brings the ball to ground. He creates those 2-B-1 contests, which also brings it ground where we can come off. So he's definitely been an important player for us. And he's the sort of player, Santago beat them to the season as well. We saw Hawthorne here two weeks ago. They were very good against West Coast. They really put West Coast to the sort, probably the beginning of the end in a roundabout way for poor Adam Simpson. But then Hawthorne went down and got to touch up against you along. That's what's going to happen with a young team and a young rebuild. What's your expectation of them down in Tassie on the weekend? The aspect of them to come out-- Flaun, that's a lot of quality players. A lot of players that are role players, but a lot of players that are standing out and starting to get some real respect amongst the competition as well. So there's no doubt that we're going to go down with the game plan that we want to play ourselves. That's kept us in good stead over the last couple of weeks. But then also, we need to figure out ways to negate those guys as well as a strong midfield. They get an exciting four-line, but also a half-back line that can just run and carry the ball. So we need to make sure we're on our toes and that we can negate their strength. Yeah, you'll have some chasing to do. No doubt about that. And you reckon it was cold here on the weekend? Well, he's young. He's not warned down there. But listen, Mal, I'm just going to warn you quickly. I don't know what Josh is about to run with, but he's told me I have someone on. Someone on, he manages to whack them somehow. No, it's not a way. And I'm not sure what you've got for Sonny, but you mentioned before you've got a stat. Yeah, I've got a stat. You're not sure if Sonny knows about it. I don't know what it is, and I'm pushing myself away from the microphone. I don't hold a spot. I'm Michael. I'm a good pirate. So, all right. 236 games, 361 goals, 191 behind, 619 tackles. The most free kicks any female locker has received, 363. You've had one hit out. I did. Yeah, I know, one hit out. And, you know what? It was against Gold Coast, against Whips. That's exactly the question. It was not. That is exactly the question. Who was it against? When was it? It was, you nailed that. Gold Coast obviously stated, and I still talk about it to this day. On the third, on the third highest hit out at the Twitter card at the moment, third by the way. Do you walk under Jack Allen? Yeah, now it's against Whips. Aaron Sandman's actually got knocked over, and I put my hand up for the rock. And obviously, Whips didn't know about him, and I'll snuck him, and I'll snuck from beyond him. I need a corridor. So good. Do you walk up to Jack Allen and make sure on Darcy and Tyay Fellows, do you want me to give me a couple of pointers, you want to land? That's brilliant. Oh, I can't believe you knew that. That's brilliant. Yeah, no, I've been trying to throw a J.O. Look, Tom Walker doesn't afford it. I have that chuck in there. He's got a couple of years ahead of him. Exactly right. A lot of fans are texting in. Again, you want to focus on the now, and you're seriously focusing on a finals campaign, which is exciting. And who knows what the end of the season could bring. What does next year look like for you? Michael, have you had any discussions about that? You got 12 months, isn't you? Yeah, so I've still got a contract next year. I'm looking forward to playing at this year and seeing where this year takes us as well as the free team. And next year, I just want to work on what I need to work on. And yeah, hopefully I've replaced them seriously next year as well. But hopefully this year is the year for us. And hopefully we can get a few more wins on the board. And like I said before, hopefully playing deep into September. I've made a lot of people's day here in there. Yeah, exactly right. And all things have been equal, 250 games and a premiership would be just a nice way to go out for next year. And know who knows, you'll be on that. It's great to have forward slash Ruckman. Sonny Wall was up the show today. OK, to have Pollock Farmer joining us right now. Oh, it's a great Ruckman of all time. [LAUGHTER] Good on you, Sonny. Appreciate your time. Now, why are you going to change that? He's a ripper. Safe travels. What about that? He knew exactly when, oh, and that was right. Round three, 2018, up to start him against Gold Coast. Jared Wits, that was the question. And he nailed it without him then asked. I read Docker. He's an absolute legend. What about that? I hope you enjoyed that. You can hear that. He had one step, but it was against Jared Wits. He didn't beat just a small black. He beat one of the good Ruckman. Just quickly. And knew where he put it. Exactly right. Smack into the corridor. Just quickly. West Coast, Brisbane. Who are you tipping? I'm Brisbane. I'm going to be-- Sremaddle author. Well, I think I can get it done. Scotty and Goss, back to wrap things up. Just around the corner, 8.6 degrees, heading for a top of 17. Whitely is on after us. Is that Sammy Edmond? No, did I use it, Jared? I can't remember. But they'll be on it, of course. And tomorrow, I'll be with Ash Brazel. Ash tomorrow. And we'll have lots of stars on it. Well, I never know. It's a revolving door. I mean, everyone wants to work with the newsbreaker. Oh, gee on too. And Scowys. The interim coach, Scowy on as well. Scowy on tomorrow. There you go. Have a good look at John as well. Yeah. Oh, hey, what about that? Hey, will we let all the big guns? Yeah. Hey, you've been listening to Simone Goss for breakfast. (laughing)
