We're drilling down for toolkit depots massive clearance so I'll get up to 40% off your favourite tool brands and Tim Gossage host of SC&WA breakfast who said earlier today on SC&WA breakfast there's a board meeting where Adam Simpson's fate might be decided today has been good enough to join us. What are you guys going to have you on? Hello Dwayne yes big day big day for no surprise but big day for WA football and West Coast Eagles. What happened? So the West Coast Eagles and Adam Simpson have a mutually agreed to a part company after 11 years. So yeah, membership coach, grand final coach for four or five years had a 70% winning record but the last three years have worn down the football club. And Adam Simpson who had one year and seven games remaining of a current contract is no longer the coach of the West Coast Eagles. So why? I think the messaging they haven't announced that they just put out a basic press statement as it stands right now. The messaging I think has just worn everybody down and I think there's probably no room going forward to see what Adam could get this group back to where he wanted them and where the football club needed to be. So in simple terms, they probably just cut their losses as a combination. And yeah, so basically I think the messaging hasn't got through this year and there's been a bit of unrest for some time amongst the playing group. And I think Adam's been waiting for the tap and the tap has come courtesy of the board today. So he'll still get paid out his full whack for next year. 100% Yeah, 100% 100% I mean it's been mutually agreed. So, you know, I'm not too, not too I'd say without it always works but the bottom line is I think it was a decision the board was going to make. I think Adam was waiting for the tap. I think it's quite substantial payout. So, you know, there's no longer the hardcore tax issue that was confronted to the club last year. Not that I believe purely that was the decision why they thought they would continue on with Adam Simpson this year. There's a lot of people said they should have done this before and the story now is they, there has been some marginal improvement. But I think they've taken us some substantial steps back in the last couple of weeks. Who coaches for the rest of the year. I'm sure of that. I mean, I'm sure there'll be speculation once the club speaks and does a press conference of sorts but they basically just put it out but, you know, Adam said that Adam's time is the time is up. So I would imagine it's either going to be Matthew Knight's or Jared Scowford probably wouldn't be surprised if it was Matthew Knight's only because I think Matthew's got nothing to gain by going back into the senior coaching ranks. I think Jared Scowford has the wants to do that one day and he probably doesn't see any benefit in coaching this team for seven weeks at West Coast, even though he's assistant coach and he's played for the club. You know, the obvious choices are Dean Cox, if they can price him out of Sydney, no guarantee that'll happen, but Don Pike would be CEO, the Eagles would be fully aware of that. I think they'll make the call to Chris Scott, where he stands at Geelong. I think they'll certainly speak to Jamie Graham, who's a former assistant coach at West Coast and is now they are free. That's that intellectual property that freer of clearly got at the moment would be a huge boost. And then there's Ash Hanson, who's a premiership player for West Coast who's been involved with the Bulldogs and Carlton and with quite a lot of success as it's starting to prove this year, in particular with the blue. But there's a number of choices there, but as far as an interim coaches concern, we are awaiting that decision. So just repeating costs. It's now official. They part a company. Well, as of an hour ago, they're going to have a press conference to announce their party company immediately and they'll announce. No, they have they have they have part had company officially. I think it has been a bit of movement at Adams residents and around the footy club. They canceled a Tim Kelly press conference. The board meeting has decided this. So I would hope we hear from Adam Simpson. I think he deserves to speak and he's much loved by the football club and the fan base. There's been a lot of unrest in more recent times, but in simple terms, he's a premiership winning coach. He's held the job down for a decade. His family's very much a part of the community. So I do hope he does speak and I'm probably going to do that with reluctance at the end of the day is time to move on. He can move on with his life. And I think the football club can try and advance and try and find some hope and glimmers of hope and some green shoots for the rest of the season. Goss, well done with the news earlier today and well done on on taking us into account and giving us some thought to jump on today and give us the latest news there. I really appreciate it. Anytime Dwight, thanks mate.
