It's got to end us for breakfast. Emmett Sonos, multi-room listening, the wireless home theatre, and a whole lot more experience of the game-changing sound this season with Sonos heading for a 19-degree day showers and then mostly sunny, little rain overnight. Carley, 13.4 degrees. Mommy in this morning. Beautiful. Good a day was yesterday. Yeah, it was his last winter. It was his last winter. Oh, this place is the best. It certainly is. It's going to be a beautiful day today, and we've got a big show, because any time we have David Schwartz on the show, we know it could be going left, right, or in between. He's going to join us after seven. The feel-good story of the Olympics, of course, they're on our doorstep. Eddie Ockendon, Kugaburra's defender, selected to play his fifth Olympic game. That is ridiculously good, isn't that right? It's a seriously five Olympic games. You see the joy on people making their first Olympic games, and that sort of thing, and what it means to them, just to make one, somebody's playing five. We're out to question him, "Well, maybe the sport's not that hard." Looking for it to it, I was a full-locking player. Maybe the sport's not that hard. I've got flies in the face of what today's all about, Scott. I haven't got his power rankings, I can't wait for that. I cannot wait for power rankings today, I'm looking forward to seeing the shift in the top 10. Is there any newcomers? Scottie's power rankings are a very important part of what we do on breakfast, and Oscar Allen, our wishes have been mixed. Oh, hi. Have you got some clout? Why don't you, judging by the timing of this, they've given us seven minutes of Oscar Allen's time. He'll be on at 747 according to the run-down, and he has to be going by 754. Daycare, it's good to have the no-cat thing in. It is unreal to have the co-cat thing on your West Coast. Thanks very much. Thank you, West Coast, because today, Scottie, there's been so much to love about our game in WA this year, and I know at the moment it might not be the case with what we saw with West Coast on the weekend, but we gave that enough airtime. We focused on it, everyone has focused on it since, but we certainly gave Fremantle plenty of love yesterday as well, with Hammer and yourself. Correct. How good is it to be in Western Australia with a team that is in the top four, and how good is it to have a player of the standard of Harley Reid in this state? How lucky are we in a two-team town to have that going on in Western Australia? I see what you're trying to do. I see what you're trying to do. I tell you what. I really enjoy it, and so what's today going to be about? I'm taking up the operations, she's giving me the excitations, but I'm back in life. Today. It's the top of the world Tuesday. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. So, I'm a little bit, because I'm almost a week off, ex. Do you know? Oh, you're a change man. Thank you. You're a happier man. Isn't it? It hasn't only been a week, and of course, it was like one gee go, but in Winterswink Gold Duke? No, no sis. No injections. Don't you? So, listeners, family, 13, 12, 55, 0, 4, 8, 7, 7, 3, 6, 7, 3, 6, it is all about the positives today. So, we want your cause. What do you like about your team? What do you like about a particular player? What are you liking about sport right now? How the world. What about the world? Yeah. Yeah. I'm enjoying it. Today, I went in to buy a newspaper, and it wasn't there, and I just shrugged my shoulders. Better off for it. And I walked out. Oh. No problems, I said to myself. No problem. No problem. I went past a petrol station. Yep. And a petrol is $1.67. And I said... It's spectacular. I might go back and get some a little later. But I didn't feel like I had to panic by today because life is not about to rush me. Oh, I got cut off on the freeway and five o'clock in the morning. Didn't bother me. Normally, I'd be hanging halfway out the car and giving some direct feedback. Not today. That age, 12, 55, 0, 4, 8, 7, 7, 3, 6, 7, 3, 6. So, just repeating our line-up, thanks to McCaffee, grab 24 chicken, McDunkett's for $9.95. What a bargain that is. Get more for your money and Mac is on this day back in its normal spot because we had a lot of feedback from a lot of people who just said... Too many of us heard it. Eddie Ockenden will join us, Oscar Allen, David Schwartz, The Power Rankings, your calls, 13, 12, 55. In fact, because it was so successful, don't forget, tonight is a $20 million Ozlot O'Drum. If anyone calls today with a positive spin, one line, something that's pleased them... Something happy for? Exactly right. You'll go in the draw! Go! Slow! It's even bigger, so this is like the secret. I've had that book that Oprah Winfrey promoted 20 years ago. If you think positive thoughts, if you just say, "I'm going to be able to buy a Ferrari," then you'll be able to buy a Ferrari. If you just think, "I'm going to be bitten well and healthy," then all your ailments will go away. 13, 12, 55. All righty. So, let's just... I want to talk about a couple of things. Harley Reid is the topic of conversation and it's been massive, but what about who's his equivalent of Fremantle? Does that necessarily be a first-year player? Who's the player that does Harley Reid like things at Fremantle? Or don't they have one, but they've got a better core group of that type of player? Absolutely, because all of a sudden, I've got five names that popped into my head, which says that they're much more well-balanced across the whole thing. Tell us who they are. Well, down back, I'd be saying Alex Pierce, I think he's led significantly well. Yeah. I think Jordan Clark is another one that gives him so much run and dash and excitement across half-back, throwing Caleb Sarong in the middle, Josh Tracy, he'd be my favorite in the Ford line. Yeah, at the moment. All of a sudden. You know, there's players, when you watch Fremantle, you go, "You look around the park and you go, "Oh, I love what he's doing." "Oh, hang on. I love what he's doing down there, too." "Oh, I love what he's doing there." In the case, he's obviously Harley Reid, and you just fixate on him. And what's he doing? How's he going to do it? How's he going to win this game of his own boot? He's 12-come-of-a-ball. No, I don't think there's many others that have ever created that sort of excitement. And then we've said it keeps the time, so I mean, he gets the foot, he's like a beacon of hope. Yeah, yeah. But at the same time, Scott, they've got Jake Waterman, who's had an after-break-out season. Well, let's go out on the comeback trail, and he's one of the best forwards in the game. They've got two of the best key defenders, McGovern and Barris, were outstanding on the weekend. Again. I'll tell you what, mate, there is enough there to like about West Coast going forward. There is just enough. And Elio had an aberration on the weekend for obvious reasons. But he's still one of the best midfielders and most sought after, and hats off to West Coast for being able to sign in for three more years. Oh, Paul. I like what you're doing. I like all of this. Positive Tuesday. Yes, I love everyone. There he is. Don't talk about the West of Tuesday. Tom of Palmyra is texting in on the temperate bedyard. Text on morning's Scotty and goes home, loving flag mantles, form at the minute. The lid is off. Yeah. Also, loving West Coast getting pants week on week off. God bless them. No, that's not, that's, no, that's okay. No, that's okay. No, that's a C. Well, he's happy for it. That's what he's positive about. That's what he's positive about. That's what he's giving me positive. It's a free-mountal fan. It's, they're entitled to be on the front foot, like Tom O from Bunbury. I am so very positive in capital letters that West Coast will lose again this weekend. There you go. That's not exactly the theme we wanted to talk about. It's a try-out-a-dum-o. Try-out-a. It's gonna be sunny. Maddie and Belle Duyves. My positivity died about three o'clock on Sunday. Oh, okay, I get that. Have a work with us, people. 4-2-5, says Scotty and Goss. I love, uh, I love in Melbourne and Barrick, I live in Melbourne, sorry, and I'm Barrick for free-out. The first time in a long time, I'm not embarrassed to say I'm Barrick for free-metal. Whenever someone asks me what to do, I feel like that's what we're talking about. That's exactly what we're talking about. There's, you know, there just seems to have just gone, there seems to have been a tipping point for free-mountal. There is eight games to go, so there's a lot to play out. But free-mountal have now, when we talk about windows, and I don't think they'll win the flag this year, and I don't think any genuine free-mountal fan believes they'll win the flag. But boy, oh boy, if they can finish top four, imagine what that would do for that group, that experience of a double chance, home final, uh, what to do for this town, and the free-mountal fans to be up and about in September. Well, Hammer and I had four chances to win the flag, and both of us included free-mountal in that, because I think it's stealable this flag. So... Baker, I don't... I'm not being a naysayer. Not today, you know. No. I'm over, I'm over, I'm so on board with them. As you know, I've bought in pretty loyal to their course over a long free man, or man, that's correct. Are they like Essendon, where we sort of look at Essendon and say, they're building, they're not going to win the flag this year, but what they're doing is more about next year, and possibly 26. Yeah, and, and again, I'm starting to form the opinion that they are as close to a grand final and premiership as it wakes up the road. This is a funny day. This has thrown me a little bit. 131250487736736. No, it's going. I'm finding it hard that no one wants to call with something positive, because the tone of voice is important. Even if you call yesterday, where's John of dying Alachua and Hill, Merengaroo? Before Lee Greenwood. Greenwood. Where's it? Why has it only got? Because he'll go, he'll call, and he'll go, "My parents?" No, the new house, he's not done, no, where the phone is. Exactly, yes. True? I like the new match. So I'd like him to ring with positive. Yeah, I'd be busy. Lee, so he's been half half on positives? Michael Pelmira just wants another joke, and I'm going to, and I'm like, "Mike, come on, man. We're trying to be positive." No, no. We're listening to their C&W each morning. That's what his positive is, because on your mind, we appreciate that, and Goss's dad jokes make minds say. He's got him from Scarborough message me on the weekend and told me he said, "Kessie's form." He said, "Kessie's tipping phone." He said, "I'm not a punter, but how about Jesse Darts? Is he's creating a bit of a habit that I'm struggling to show?" Exactly, right. So brilliant stuff for Jesse Darts, 04877367366. You're listening on a Friday. Is the number. What did you get up? You said it was a gorgeous day yesterday. What did you get up to? I was a bit of work. I know. What did you get up to? We didn't work yesterday. Yeah, of course I did. I was out checking out a golf course, because turf master do golf courses. Are you going to get that contract to your home? Oh, I don't really hate it. You know what? It's probably going to take a couple more visits. What about the voice? You don't just... Did you go in the voice? No, just walk in. Well, I did suggest that they clear out some of the vegetation. You can't just walk in and walk in and just win people over and say, "Change everything that you're doing." So, you know, it's going to probably take a couple more turns. I'm going to try another one out today. Harlan recommends we should get the corn on for the positive Tuesday. Yeah. Do you think there's stems back to the fact that you're off socials or off X? I just think we. I just think... Do you find yourself a happier person? I'm finding Mondays can be... When both of our teams win. I mean, imagine what it was a bit like to be in Brisbane with both teams one, Adelaide with both teams one. They would just be positive, positive, positive. We had free, mental, huge, and we gave them and everyone is on board the free, mental trade. I think people have got on board with me that free, mental, are tracking in the right direction. But my attitude today is I'm exhausted with the negativity that surrounds our game because I just... I'm firing boars me. Adam Simpson under pressure boars me. No, I think they're all issues. No, they've been being terrible, Ross Lyon, getting away with a two-year deal considering how bad they are. It's going to be positive. Well, confused. I'm so confused. Well, confused. I'm so confused. Well, I think there's obviously those issues need discussing. But I think one day, and I always looked at this meme all the time, and I took a photo of it, so it was on my phone all the time, and it says, "Wake up and think of one positive thought every morning. See how much it changes your attitude." Yeah. And really is true. It just gets you off to a fly, and I don't care if you're waking up to, "I love the rain." Oh, I love the way it turns. Yeah. I've woken up again. It's not my favorite jumper, if it's cold. Sometimes it's waking up, it's a good thing. Oh, 100%. I've woken up and I can walk. I think we need to be more positive as a community, especially on a Tuesday. So that's why I changed top of the world Tuesday. My neighbor yelled at her kids so loud last night that I even I brushed my teeth and went to bed. That's not bad. You like that? Yeah, that's OK. Yeah, good luck with that. Yeah, I'm going to be positive if we had dead jokes. What about? Paul says, "How exciting, Fremont are in the top four?" They have three first round picks and a couple in the second round next year, so they could actually be in the top four for the next 10 years in a row. There's a positive thought. Wow. I'm very positive. When you're Paul, I like it. I swear, by you, Paul. 048773673636. Can you give us a taster in regards to your power, Enchis? I want you to ask... Give us a taster. I want you to look at Steve's question and answer that question. I want you to ask him. I want you to ask him. I want you to ask him. Give us a taster. I want you to look at Steve's question and answer that for us. What's that meant for us? I think Steve might have missed the... He might have been looking for the gardening show on something else. Steve says, "Boys, I don't know if that'll be us." Although, it could be Gary and Tim because they go down this line, "I've got red-legged earth mites in the canola. What's the best to use? What's the best to use to kill them?" Steve. If anyone out there knows what's the best thing to get rid of red-legged earth mites in canola, he let us know. Let Steve know. Or we'll tell Gary and Tim to let Steve know. I just blow it all up, Steve and start again. And then you lose your crop of canola? Yeah, but you can't. You can't... You can't harvest it with the red-legged earth mites, isn't it? Yeah. No. A peta-vesing part is, "I can't even think positive listening to Goss talk crap." Oh. Oh, Pete. From Pete. No. No, Pete. You should see the look on his face here, Pete, it's like despondent, like you've just... I'm not sure where much positivity's got in him, so don't take it away from him. Please, keep him on track. Every pasture grazing in spring can help reduce mite numbers the following autumn. Early sowing can help avoid damage, because plants will be larger by the time the red-legged earth mites hatch here, but it's too late for that now, because they're there. So you're trying to... Give us that, mate. Trying to avoid them. Trying to kill them. I don't... Best of sides, galore. Just throw them out there. I love pesticides. Give it on, best of sides, for keeping our canola fresh and red-legged earth mite free. What about... You hear the pho? It's in the hole... Yeah. That's a lot of cans and a lot of water. You know, I swallowed a fly once growing up, and my sister went inside and got the mortina sprayed it down my throat? No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She said, "Open up. We'll play doctors and nurses." Believe it or not. Anyway, Paul. Jesus. And Bellamy goes, "What happened?" I say, "I swallowed a fly." He just went... Hey, that'll kill it. How much do you? Yeah. That ain't 1255-048-7736-7366. John of Cheward Hill has hated the warning. Give us a go. Hey, John. Good morning. Good morning, fellas. Hey! He's saying, "I've got about today. Jody, boy!" Yeah. Yeah. And positivity. That just straight part, where body of work would earn him a burning, arriving, star nomination next to him. Vinging it this week. Yeah, he couldn't get it. And the guy who got it... We'll go home. I think it's terrific that the AFL's team got another rising star. I think that's terrific. Yeah, exactly right. The top of the world on Tuesday to you all in the gold. Exactly right. Hey, John. You sound up and about today. You're happy with the top of the world Tuesday? Oh, 100%. 100%. Do you think we're forcing it? Do you think we're forcing it too hard? No. Because I'm running out of all ideas. No. No. Fashion. No, I like it. I really like the idea. But... What could be more positive with Scotty Power ranking, Clay. Yeah, good point. You might turn off. Yep. Yeah, this is the second time I'm going to say this this morning. One was off here and now it's on air with you. It's not sarcastic Tuesday. All right. It's top of the world Tuesday. Are you and your mate there? Smart. Have a good day, legend. Have a good day. Johnny from Cheer would always love his input as well. Oh, I said that. Five being selfless in the middle with a positive. Yeah. And it absolutely was a positive. As we said yesterday, that is his role going forward now and it can be a really important one. And another text after Pete from the East Lake Park gave me a drive by. Geez. Old positive feeder here. Yeah, exactly right. Hey, let's get a break away and come back. Scotty from Bays was pushing the Wilbur day bandwagon isn't he? Very good player. Very good player. We'll take a break. We'll take a break. Okay. We'll take a break. Sure. Let's take a break. If you feel like that's what you want to do, come back, news, talk and listen there. Birthdays, events, and some of the great moments in history. It's on this day. That it is. We're pressing for time. Scotty, I'd like to stay on time on the top of our Tuesday. Fair enough to. Thank you very much. Jamie, you're doing a terrific job. Clay Thompson has gone to the Delick and Dallas Maverick. - He gets around. Clay, is he gone? Does that worry up before? - Yeah. James Harden's returning to the Clippers. - Oh, my God. - Oh, my God. - He's back. - Is he played for everyone? - I think so. - Yeah. - Yeah. - And Portugal just beat Slovenia on penalties over time. Three-deal. We've got to move on from that. And Fred's beat Belgian, one-nil. We're going to get to Eddie. - No one's hit them. - Play a happy song, Chris. [MUSIC PLAYING] - Yeah. Eddie Ocken enjoys the six power rankings. Oscar rather than David Schwartz. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] - Yeah. - Scotty and Goss. Top of the world Tuesday, 14 degrees, heading for a top of 19 today. After seven o'clock, David Schwartz talking all things footy and also Oscar Allen before, right? - We're going to have to get to Ox and let him know that he's top of the world Tuesday. Have you seen him in a message early? Don't even prepare. - What about this remarkable feat to take place at the Olympics just around the corner? And that is through Eddie Ockenland's exploits. On the hockey field, just an outstanding contributor. He's 438 career goals. He's been playing. He's the first Australian player to play 400 internationals. He'll get 450 over there in Paris. And he's been kind enough to join us first ever, five time Australian hockey Olympian. Eddie, appreciate your time. Congratulations, mate. - Good morning. Thank you. Thank you very much. - Oh, you were 23 when you made your Olympics debut. Boy, oh boy. That's a long time ago. - Yeah. I think Beijing, yeah, in 2008, like it does obviously. I'm telling that goes really quickly. I think when you're playing with the most part of me, I was coming up, but I think looking back at the time, it certainly is a long time. - Did you expect this, Eddie? Well, first of all, firstly, congratulations. It's phenomenal achievement that you've done. And I said to God's earlier on today, I said, you watch young people get their first ever ticket to the Olympic Games, their first time, and they are just beside themselves. They're so excited to do it five times. It's extraordinary. Did you expect to hold on and get a spot in the team for the fifth time? - Oh, I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to do it so many times. 'Cause like he said, going to the Olympics is the coolest thing we can do. It's an unreal experience. You get to go and play the sport that you love against the best in the world in such a big event. So it's an awesome thing to do. So I feel really lucky that I've had the opportunity to do it. And I think just touching on Beijing, the first time you've selected, I think you've faced so much excitement because you feel like a kid again. That's what you dreamt of. You hold junior career or you hold sporting career. You don't really think it's possible until you get told you're selected and you're going for those times that there's still a bit of excitement and energy. So I think you're right there. And for me, it has been the same. You're so excited to go. And there's a lot of preparation to go into it every four years. So when you get the chance to be selected again, every time it feels like the same sort of excitement and joy that you've been chosen and you get to go to the Olympics. - I know you don't have to worry about this because you're going. But you thought about not going? And the fact is what that would have been like to watch an Olympics that you're not involved in? - Yeah, I think, yeah, sort of crosses your mind in the preparation every now and then for the water here for, you know, I think. And, yeah, I mean, I haven't really watched one film before I'm on your right. But I think, you know, like after Tokyo, it was only three years. And I think thinking back then I was, you know, 34. So I did want to, I thought I could do it. And I wanted to put all my energy into trying to be selected for the team. And I think there's times where you just look at it, I'll take it year by year. And, yeah, if I'm not good enough anymore, I can accept that. And I was okay with it. I thought, you know, I've had a good career and I really want to do it. And I'm trying to improve every day. And I want to get better. But there's an acceptance of, yeah, if I'm not good enough anymore, then that might be it. But, yeah, it's been good. - We'll talk about the team in a moment. There's a moment all about you. Eddie Ockenden is our guest now. You know, there's been some, one of our colleagues who apparently tells everyone that he carried the flag at an Olympic Games. And we talk about it with guys. It's a bit over-hyped to be brilliant with you. - I think three others brought it out. - Yeah, so he was left. - He was sent home early. - He was left holding the flag. Have you had, has there anyone pushing up for you? Whether it be the opening ceremony or the closing ceremony? Would you like that on her? Because, I mean, I'll go to her and be a naysayer on you, Eddie. But I'm pretty sure you won't be in the going to the next Olympic. - I don't rule him in. (laughing) - I don't know, like it's something really, it's something really strange to think about. Like, you know, you don't ever think that's a possibility. Like, you never sort of out training. But every day thinking, like, this is what I want to do, or this is what might happen. You just don't really cross your mind. So it's a really difficult one. But in saying that, I will say things like, I do love the Olympic history and the flag bearing and sort of the announcements and the sort of, like, team connection we get with the whole Australian team with things like that and the opening ceremony. I really do enjoy that part of the Olympic. So, yeah, I think it's really special and a unique thing. And, yeah, I have heard that Gazy's done, and I've heard that once. (laughing) - Really? (laughing) - It sounds like he had a lot of fun doing it. So, yeah, it was pretty cool. - Yeah, and the next year, he was balling his eyes out on TV, on international TV. He talked about the team. - No, I mean, we are going to talk about your team in a very quick sec. But the fact that you're even being pushed up and suggested to be a flag bear, does that put in context what you've achieved here? I mean, five times. I'm sure it'll sink in probably after you retire or whenever that may be. But is it the fact that you've been discussed as a possible flag bear for the Australian team make you go, "Wow, I've done something pretty special here." - Yeah, it's kind of to be honest, yeah, it's really weird because you're just weird with us. So, he's training in Perth. We love it. Luckily, we love being with the team and we love training and going to compete and doing our hockey thing. But it's both separate to, like, an Olympics. Like, every four years we get to do this awesome thing. But for the rest of the time, we're sort of just training away and trying to be as good as we can be. So, yeah, it's definitely strange. - Four-time Commonwealth Games gold medal, a couple of World Cup medals, Kookaburra player of the year, bronze medal at the Olympics a couple of times. Olympic Games silver medal. You don't have the gold. What's your vibe in regards to the preparation for this opportunity of winning gold and what a great way to go out if that'd be the case? - Yeah, I mean, I think the Australian hockey team, like, we've always had a really strong team and I'm going to say it again, I think we have a really, we have a fantastic team. I think we're better than what we were in Tokyo. I think the mix of our team at the moment is really good and we've got some good form. And we believe that our best is good enough to win a gold medal. So I think that's a pretty incredible place to sort of start Olympic competition, knowing that your best is good enough, knowing that if we keep preparing in the next few weeks and we go over there and we can perform to our best, that way good enough and I love that ceiling and the belief in the grip that we can do it. So, yeah, I mean, having a gold medal would be special. It's not, you know, I don't, I take five of these thoughts from Tokyo on the fall. Still the medal, we performed really well, but there's not time we don't think, oh, are we sure what if this happened or things were different? You know, we'd have a gold, but, yeah, like a lot of politics, that makes you in Tokyo. Well, normally when we look at Australia's pool in most sports, it doesn't, not just the Olympics, but in a lot of sports. We look at their pool and we go, "Oh, it's the pool of death now." Cougar Barrows have got Belgium, India, who are obviously strong, Argentina, New Zealand and Ireland, because today is top of the world Tuesday and everything's positive. Is this the pool of life, Eddie? We're going to smash this pool? Yeah, I mean, yeah, Tuesday is sort of, I think, like, we're, we're, we're, we know we're going to play good teams, so we're not sort of daunted by any pool and, like, we're going to, if we make a quarter final, we're going to play a great team in that quarter final from the other pool, too. So, we're, we're looking forward to wherever we play. And, yeah, I mean, it's so interesting looking at, like, it's such a sort of, like, a random event where you might cross over with. So, you have no control over it and you just have to make sure you're playing. Well, I think, yeah, I'm happy with the pool. I'm happy with our first game. We're really looking forward to Argentina and kicking our campaign off against them. So, you're right. Yeah, definitely. Now, we'll ask you, I know you're a rusted-on hockey man and you're a proud Tasmania, but you spend a lot of time in Western Australia because of, you know, the hockey program and the like, but what about a team in, from Tassie now being launched into the AFL? How does that make a proud Tasmania feel? Yeah, I think it's really interesting. And, yeah, I'm pretty, I'm pretty keen to jump on the does on that big good. But I think, like, just sort of going up, I just, I encourage all kids to trust board and I think having sports, sort of, on your doorstep, I think that helps. And, yeah, I obviously encourage kids to play hockey because I've had a great experience with that, but I just say play every sport you can when you're a kid. And if it's more accessible on it, like I said on the doorstep, I think that's a great thing for kids in Tally. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to it. And you're also just a little side note. You're like walking upstream and fly fishing. Is that true? I mean, I'm not saying you're not telling us that. It's a little bit more relaxing than someone hitting a rock, a little white ring on a rock that did 100 Ks now, wouldn't it? Yeah, is this your thing, the old fly fishing tuna fishing during the season? Definitely. And definitely, because when I can get back, yeah, I think, yeah, you have to sort of do that stuff. If you're a Tasmanian and sort of spook it to the world, don't you, like, I'm just going to do, like, it's probably, it's actually a lot harder. I'm getting a ball hit at you. I tell you, I'm like, I'm low in years with it. I'm finding the track and I'm getting hit by a ball. But, yeah, it's a very nice thing to do. Good stuff. I might look forward to it. And I think a five-time Olympian deserves to be at the pointy end of the play. So we can push hard for a business class. I mean, you know, you might have to separate from the rest of the team, but, you know, we're happy to try and push that case. We've only got one thing in this already. So we can either push for you to be a flag bearer or return for this class. Which one do you want? Well, in terms of the class, that only means that we've got to call madam. But, you know, we've got, you know, mid-20s. It has still backs and, you know, 37. And I'll give up my spot for the end. So they're well rested and ready to go. Hey, Eddie. 37. You're one of those blokes and when you're walking off the plane, they keep the elderly seated until everyone's gone. And then they bring the wheelchair up with a little thing with the little orange, a little light, vipping and flash. That's what I'll do for you when you return with a gold medal, great man. Congratulations. Thanks a lot, Steve. I mean, he's a legend. He is a bona fide legend of Australian sport, not just hockey. We talk of Eddie Ocken, and what about that? That's five Olympics. Five times. That's twerk. That's a lot of years. This is 20 years. That's 20 years. Separation. As I said, like these people who just dream of one Olympic Games and play five to be hitting the top of your sport for that long is ridiculously good. He's a Tasmanian, but at least most of his time he was in Australia. Well, he's done well there. So hockey's provided him with a lot of positives. It's 18 degrees. He's heading for the top of 19. Things will go downhill after seven, because David Schwartz will put him down right now. No, it won't. Top of the world, Tuesday. He'll be positive about Carlton doing well. He loves Carlton as well. Austin Allen gives us seven minutes of his time. And Scotty's power rankings. Yes. [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] Top of the world, Tuesday. The nutrient water, four-day forecast. Your destination for all things water 19 today. You're going to be mostly sunny. Then sunny tomorrow 19. What a positive weather. That's sunny in our world. 19 and 19 again Thursday, Friday. We'd be a few clouds, but sometimes. Yeah, they'll be beautiful clouds. Yeah, irrigation, pup filtration product, specialist. Here's nutrient water. Visit nutrientwaterstore.com.au. David Schwartz come to join us very, very shortly. He was always happy. He won't be if he has to wait behind James of hocking from too much longer. James, good morning. Morning. How are we? No, mate. We are terrific. James, how are you today? [MUSIC PLAYING] [MUSIC PLAYING] All right. I just want to look at that twice rather than run on play. Run on play out for. That was a terrific tactical change-up by JL on the weekend against Haney. I was a Haney's a dangerous player. It's been all night effort. The job of that five feet on him was marvelous. I think it was a potentially the game went up of shutting down Haney. It was a master stroke move, to be honest. The question would be asked now, is it sustainable? Yeah. That's going to be his role. That's going to be his best game. And that's it freed up Hayden Young, so to speak. It was a great move. It was a winning move. And you can only worry about the now. It's a good point you make, James. 17 handballs at all, most of them were beneficial to his team. Yep. Hardbody win the contest. Get it out to more damaging players by boot. That's exactly his role going forward. Do you think he's capable of doing it every week, though? He's not going to win every week like that. No, no, no. But it's a mindset thing as well. Sure. And Nat Fife wants to contribute to the team, obviously. Yep. And that's the way he can contribute now. So it's got to be really difficult to be one of the all-time grays to not being great still. Yeah. But he's got a role to play. And I'm sure many others can play that role. Well, imagine, because I mean, you call for his sacking, his axing, his dropping. I mean, you've called for everything in regards to him. But that's okay, because, you know, you're an expert. I mean, he's totally entitled to have your opinion. And it was not like nothing personal. But bottom line is he has, I think he's added something to the team this year. As much as he hasn't been clean and he's not quick, still just reckons he gives that bulk around the contest. And I think what he did on the weekend shutting down, he was. If he's saying that role, I think he's absolutely got life left in him. Great stuff. All righty. There it is. Thanks, James. Good on you, mate. We appreciate it on top of the world Tuesday. With that being said, let's see how we go here. David Schwartz is our expert, of course. He's fresh off his trip. Breakfast powered by Kubota. Barley, how did you go? Good morning. Good morning, boys. I can just say this. People say Barley Valley is not a great thing. At the top of the day, Tuesday, I lost four kilos. So, could not be happier. They're getting Barley Valley and sitting on the shit of her today was a benefit. I used to go there. I used to go there, you know, every year, sometimes twice a year, just to get barley belly. I would go there, eat off the carts, drink puddles, and just to get myself crook and come behind Goodnik. I said, "I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, 'I said, to get crook and I was able to get it. So now there's always a positive. Hey David, were you back in town to see St. Kewter in Port Adelaide? Yeah, yeah it was. Stay positive. Unbelievable. And I thought it was a great game. I really like where it's flying footy. You know what it's what a super attacking coach. You know if you went to that game it was just value for money the minute you walked into the minute you left. So do you subscribe to the theory? It's that style of play is stifling any future stardom of Max King. Oh poor Max. If Max King was smart he would do whatever he can to get out of St. Kewter and find new horizons. I feel like he's a good player. He's not you know he's not Doug Wade but I think if he played in the right system he would be the player that we expect him to be. Isn't it amazing that in a space of a couple of years it was all about Ben King leaving Gold Coast to play with his brother at St. Kewter and now it's get out of their mess. You're right though because you're right though because when you look at him you go how can one twin be so much better than the other twin? Well genetically he says that they've both got the same thing so it comes down to absolute game style and the ability is a forward to be at your best. Anyway Carlton we're good too. Ox hey how good's that? Yeah we love Carlton. We love two great clubs Carlton Esten. I don't know what to make it the bombers. The bombers footy is good against average sides but when you got to put your foot down and really knuckle in they're still not the side that they need to be. They'll scrape into the eight. They might play finals footy for the first time in a long time but they're not going to do any damage until they learn that when the heat is on they've got to get going. They've got the talent but they haven't learned different gears to shit so once they do that I think they'll be okay. Do you think Brisbane are back in business? Ox will all think that they're coming back with they've found their mojo they've squeezed themselves into the eight now and it's only obviously percentage separating about 8th or 7th or 8th or 14th but I think Brisbane are back in town. Yeah they are. I can't believe Melbourne lost that. Actually I was flying over Ella Springs when and you've got no reception in the plane and you know sometimes you just get a little bit of reception and an email came through these losing a thriller and I'm not joking. I was sitting on the toilet actually when it came through. A true number 11. There's not much information done. There's another kilo going. They should have a kilo and I thought oh here we go. Now that was disappointing. Yeah I thought Melbourne were okay but Brisbane are dangerous. They're very dangerous. We know they've got if they're too big forwards clicking they've got enough grunt through the midfield they're going to be really, yeah I don't want to be playing them up in a fine or up north in a final and you know their question is can they do it on a big stage? No doubt. The only issue. No doubt. David Schwartz is our guest of course AFL nation Melbourne champion thanks to Sonos multi room listing wireless home theatre and a whole lot more. Jonesy on the text line says that Ox can you please ask Ox if he still thinks that Patraka should dust himself off toughen up and get back out there. Too many keys for me from that. I don't want to be negative because we're all positive. When I made those comments yeah and then I actually found out that he had a punch of lung. Up should spleen, broken ribs I thought shit I'm going to be in trouble here. I'm not a bit hard and my phone has caught into meld out there and for Christian I love you and I was just a tongue in cheek comment but yeah I do take back those comments. I don't often take back comments but those ones I'm taking back and I wish I had my moment over again because it's three minutes three minutes different socks. It was three minutes after you said them. I know. I know. I know. Don't worry I was well aware of it. Sorry I want to be positive. I've got to be positive. I saw a bit of a clip with you and Russell Robertson. Yes. You did a good day. Yep. And I'm not I'm not in the planting so I didn't find it on the library's website. They came up on Twitter and I just want to say I loved it. I really love what you and Russell Robertson did so all you listeners out there haven't seen it. I love how you go to pass place functions every single week because you've been the more clubs and Ricky Nixon. I just really enjoyed what I was watching so well done. Yeah. We're going to find that and play it. Yeah. I grew up with those two names in the sense. Where did you do that? A month ago. Where? At a pub in Mount Lawley. Oh local. It's over here. Robbo was over because Melbourne were playing. Of course they were. Whenever Melbourne played the Eagles and so Robbo was on a junket. Yeah. Are you sure? Had a good chat. He's looking good indeed. Robbo. Robbo's in good shape. Yeah. No. Well there's no way he's going to let himself get out of shape is he? No. No. No. No. No. Someone wants to want to play. If you've never seen Robbo outside of footy, he's banned. He's been full Sabano. He's got the best voice. He's one of the great singers you've ever come across. He's hooked out everywhere. He's a great entertainer. And you know what? He fits into top of the world Tuesday too because he's always in a good mood Robbo and you know what you're going to get by in every time he's an absolute beauty to be around. So a lot in the year. I reckon I reckon out of all the footy players, he's the most unheralded. I know he's a great player but I don't reckon he gets her cute. I said you deserve. She was a very very good footballer. Great. Great. Hey, John Ox says, would you trade Oliver and Tomlinson Petty for King? Would you trade up to get Max King? Is that what Melbourne's missing a key star forward? All free. Oh no. It's Oliver and Tomlinson or Oliver and Petty. No, why would I trade Oliver? No chance. No, no, no. I'll trade Petty and Tomlinson for King. But I wouldn't trade out Oliver. He's pretty important to Melbourne. If he gets his off field stuff right, which I think he's got under control. If he gets that right, Oliver stays. He's a... No, no. I think this year hasn't been his best because his pre-season was rubbish. But if they get him sorted off here, he's still one of the elite in the competition. So, no, I wouldn't trade him out, but I definitely... Everything else, just about every other player other than Patraker and Gorn. Leaver and May wouldn't be traded. But anyone else is just about on the table. I'm not sure... I've got to go for King. I'm not sure Tomlinson and Petty's getting the deal done, to be perfectly honest. I want to be close. No, I might not. You might need to throw something else, but certainly I wouldn't trade out Oliver. So where do you sit? Sorry. Where do you sit then W.A. Boy in Jacob Van Royan, who looks like he'd be a really good second or third string forward. I think he can play, but obviously being the number one man at the moment, not quite there. Where do you sit with Jacob? Yeah, I think you've just got your pippin' tight, but yeah, you're certainly not a Michael Jordan. He's a baby. He's still got a lot of growth to go. I would trade him for King. I would trade him out and then find a player that you can build your forward line around. I don't think you've built a forward line around Van Royan. I think he's a player that would be that second or third banana. He's a good player. He's getting better, but far too inconsistent within games, yet alone within a season. You might see him for two or three minutes and then you won't see him for a quarter. So he's got a good upside, but right where a Melbourne is, they've got a three-year window to still be able to maybe be competitive at the very top. He might be someone that you would do that to, and you might regret it, but there might be just what you need to be the final piece in the puzzle, maybe have a tilt of the flag again. So you firmly believe that Max King is a now type of forward. That you think Max King in the right setup could be a game changer for a number of teams, but we talk of Melbourne right now. If Max King came to Melbourne, he would kick 60 goals a year because the ball goes inside 50 enough. He would be, he would be, and if he had picket at his feet, he's got a channeler down there. He's got a Bailey fridge down there. I think King would appreciate the ball coming in and a bit of maturity around him and a bit of class through the midfield and a ruckman that's going to support him. I think you would find that his football would go to new levels. Hey, question is just coming on the text line from 982. It's a question that Goss asked some time ago, and he was firmly in the West Coast camp on this one. He's starting to backtrack a little. He said the West Coast are closer to a flag than Fremantle after the weekend was born. I don't think I need to ask the question. Who do you think is closer to a flag, Ox, West Coast or Fremantle? I think I think some really close to the moment. I like where West Coast are going, Goss, but they're still a long way off. Their list profile is all out of whack. They've still got to find some more run. They've got to find... I think Oskar Allen coming back on the side certainly straightens them up, and Waterman's doing what he's doing. They're good backs with Barras and McGovern. They're good backmen, but you can score on them. They've got enough ground through the midfield. No, they've got good wingers. No, and they don't have any depth, so they're okay. But Fremantle are so far in front of them. They are kilometers apart of the moment. I don't think Fremantle have got depth. I think Fremantle are right now. Absolutely. Their best 23 is really good. I worry about Fremantle in these last eight games. If they get two or three injuries to key movers, they will struggle because they haven't given opportunities to a lot of players in a consistent basis, and they're not exactly setting the world on fire at a waffle level. So I'm worried about that long term. I agree with you. They are closer to a flag. Now, right now, but not long term. Now, can I just... Liam Baker. What do you mean by long term? I reckon West Coast, one midfielder away from being a challenger, a one genuine midfielder. I don't think they need a forward. They've got Oscar Allen and Waterman. I think they've got two of the best defenders, not good defenders. I know they get scored on beside a Mayan lever. So I would be going to bet, a lot of the reason why Barris and McGovern get scored on is because of the lack of midfield presence. And I think a Liam Baker, less chance, Chad Warner, but Liam Baker will make a heck of a difference to that team in the midfield. Absolutely. I think Liam Baker's a star. And I think Richmond have almost conceded that he's done, that he'll leave. I'll give you one. I'll give you one. And I know this has been going around a while, but I'll give you 100%. And this is a 98% or 97% Scotty. 100% Dustin Mann will be playing at the Gold Coast next year for a two-year contract. Are we taking that to the bank? You're taking the bank. Just put it in the bank right now and just collect the interest. Wow. It's done. You will see that he'll be playing with the Gold Coast next year. Speaking of heaven. And I reckon you'll find that he'll play the majority of home games and travel in one of the big option for him. How is that going to help Gold Coast? Well, I think what he brings, so he brings a bit of star factor, which is, you know, they want people through the gates, which is really important. Sure. But anybody who's played with Dustin Mann knows that he is a great leader about what he does on the training track and what he does on the field. And sometimes actions speak louder than words. He's not a big talk, but when he does talk, he commands enormous respect. And for a young group, there's only benefits that he brings. He's got his outside life under control. He's not a, he's not a bull-fed what we like. He was when he was a 21 year old. He's mature. And his example is exactly what, he's exactly what the Gold Coast need. He brings marketing dollars. He's got a great relationship with obviously the coach. He knows that system and he goes up there, maybe in a, in a, in a playing and coaching role behind the scenes. So it's just a win win. I think Richmond will get a nice pick for him. He gets another opportunity. And I think everybody wins in this. I think football wins, Dustin Mann wins Richmond win and the Gold Coast win. Wow. Okay. And then you've got Baker leaving. He's talking about Shay Bolton going onto the trade table. Daniel Rioli wants out as well. I don't know if they can get Matt Rioli, Rioli, Rioli won't be leaving. Okay. There you go. 100% he'll be staying as well. All righty. There he is. Take good walk to the bank. All right. I think it's good until Sydney come in and offer Dusty a 10-year deal and really piss the overall off again. I don't think that'll be happening. And I reckon Chad Warner will be at Fremantle. That's my, I really believe that he'll end up going to Fremantle for whatever reason I'd, you know, hey, would, hey, would re-signing up in Sydney or, you know, green to terms. I think that's the first signal that they're worried about Chad Warner leaving and Fremantle of the club. All righty. Okay. Let's get to Tuesday tips really quickly. Calling with Essendon, Friday night. Oh, uh, calling would, no, they're, they're just, they're just better than them. North Melbourne Gold Coast Saturday Marvel. Well, Gold Coast don't went away from home, but I'll give them the first win away from home for the year. Port Adelaide at home to the Western Bulldogs. I don't like Port Western Bulldogs. Jelong at home to Hawthorne. We saw them live. They're good. Yeah, they win. They win. They, and it's always a hard travel coming back from the Western, then we go down to Jelong. Port all have been mighty. They've been brave. They're lovely footy and I can't believe I'm saying it because I thought they're going to be ordinary. I think Jelong will tell them up. Oh, wow. GWS host Carlton and Angie. Yeah, this is a big one. GWS of pathetic. I don't know what's happening to them, but they've taken their Superman cape off. I'm going to, yeah, not GWS. No, I can't have GWS. Fremantle host Richard and here said they not. They'd want to win that. And GWS, if they get Chad Warner, West Coast, even further away from winning the next flag. It's going to be some thing, Tom David. I don't think they think time made. It's going to be hard to believe. I think if you think one midfielder is going to fix West Coast, you're off your rock. Where does he feel you? Can you imagine, we know how quick Chad Warner is in Sydney, imagining playing over the West? Oh my God. Melbourne West Coast Sunday MCG. This will be a ball. I'll tell you now, this is a payback. This is payback for the demons and for the West Coast fans out there, this could get ugly. How many will fill the MCG? What will they fill? How many will love at the MCG for Melbourne West Coast in early July? Oh, should be a blockbuster. 29,400. Yeah, that's about right. St. Kilda Sydney, Sunday Marvel. Sydney, Sydney will bounce back in. So, I think St. Kilda in the bottom three. Yes, Sydney will kick six goals and still win. And Brisbane Adelaide together. Brisbane, Brisbane win that one. Good on you, Oxman. Appreciate it. I hope you're feeling better. Always love it. Love our trip tonight. Good on your legend. That emoji. I love this positive Tuesday stuff. Ring me every Tuesday for your class. Yeah, thank you. It is beautiful. We'll take that to the bank too. Don't worry about that. So, there's the big news. He says our two-year deal, Dusty Martin Gold Coast, lock it in and Chad Warner to free O'David Schwartz with all the breaking news. Words were not 98%, not 99%, 100% take it to the bank. Speaking of 100%, we need your power rankings. Quick fix. Okay, you've been telling us that there's no change to the 10. You've just changed the order. Is that correct? Yeah, Max Gorn goes from 9 to 10. I'm just not sure what Melbourne's going to do for the last part of the season. Max Gorn is vitally important, but will he be one of the top 10 most important players in the game by season end? He's hanging on to number 10. So, Max Gorn comes in to number nine. Kurno goes to number eight from seven. Merritt goes in at seven from number six, and Jeremy Crips has jumped two spots to number six. He was sensaging on his body, he worked in the last six weeks. Absolutely warrants his spot there. He is counting. He's a very, very good and genuine because Crips is sensational. Galdon, how's this? Galdon, five, one or four. Isaac Heaney goes to three. One game. He won last week? He was one last week. So, it gets tagged out of it and you just whacked him two spots. No, no, no, no. What did you just say? What did you say? It's just a joke. Because I'm going to take points. No, no, no. We can, we can argue at the point. We can argue at the point. Don't need to. Bont it too, and Nick Daikos is the best player in the competition. Do you think that Isaac Heaney is a better player than Marcus Bond and Pelly and Nick Daikos? No, I don't. There you go. So, it's not what you might have done to your breath. But I think this year he is. I think right now we're still... Right now, I'm asking you. I'm asking you to think he's the best player. Yes, I don't know. Well, I think Daikos is the best. I think you fantasize about Nick Daikos whether he plays good or bad. Go ahead. Sure, sir. I don't. Go ahead. Promise you I don't. Go ahead. No, no, that's it. Go on at 10, 9, some wrong. 8, Kurno, 7, Merritt. Again, Merritt's probably going to slip a little bit, because Essen and... I'm not convinced. I'm like a lot of people. I'm not convinced completely. But he is so important to them. Success. Patty Crips has come into 6. Gordon at 5, 1, a 4, 3, Heaney, 2, Bonton-Pelly and 1 at Nick Daikos. Ben says there is no way West Coast are one-hit away from being a challenge up. Goss, that's more silly than saying that he was a close to a flag than Fred. Yeah, but I said that a while ago, Ben, just don't get caught up in all of that stuff. Don't get... People listen to what you say. The world changes, mate. The world changes. No, it does. So when you make a statement at the time, when I made the statement, the West Coast were closer to a flag than Fremantle, I firmly believe that. Do I believe that right now? Probably not as much. But hey, when Fremantle win one, I'll be wrong. Yep, yes, you will be. We all will be. Do you think the West Coast are generally one-met away from being a challenger? I think they'll be one-met away from being a darn better side than they are right now. It's 27.7. Top of the World Tuesday, we've branded this. Of course, we want to be a little bit more positive, so we're not bashing people left, right and centre. Our duffier will continue. Just today, tomorrow we'll go the knuckle again, duff. Hello boys. Hello. We've got a wonderful morning it is. Tim, it's a delight to see you across the table. Don't force it, don't force it. It just goes naturally to me, mate. Scotty. G'day, mate. You look wonderful today. Oh, son of you. Have you been working out? Boy, I have. We've got coming up after eight o'clock. I'm going to talk to Dixie Marshall, the Deputy Chair of the West Australian Football Commission. Now, she's spearheading a deep dive into WA's talent development pathway. Good. Where do we find it? How do we look? How do we go about it? What are we getting wrong? How do we make it better? It's a fascinating stuff. I've looked at some of the research. Obviously, they're only part way through and they're trying to figure out, okay, they've got to a stage where they've identified underlying principles they need to follow and now the implementation and the funding for that and the resourcing for that becomes the critical bit. But it's quite fascinating in terms of what kids get spotted and what kids don't and how they can make sure they're missing fewer ones, getting them involved, even if they're not footballers, finding good athletes and then asking them to play football and getting them to love the game. Look forward to that with Dixie Marshall. We've got Brad Smith in the studio tomorrow after seven o'clock. So, Smithy is involved, the former Superco champ. Yep. He was on the Eagles this for a while as well. So, Smithy is involved at that sort of underage level as well. He's going to come in and chat about that. So, it'll be interesting to see what happens there. What else have you got? I've got Joe Brightie, the Fremantle Footy Manager coming up after nine o'clock as well. There's a lot of lot of lotion in the box after that. Yeah, he was. He led the... Everyone except JLo. Yeah. He was just getting throttle. All calm, collected. Yeah, very much so. And Duff, you would have heard our man, David Schwartz, sort of doesn't come as a surprise. But Dusty Martin's name has been talked about going to the Gold Coast, but he said it's locked in, it's going to be two years. Yeah, I understand. Well, if they want to find... If there's marketing involved, fine. But Dusty's nearly cooked. Yeah. Like, if you know what I mean? Like, we talk about all these things that we think are important in footy clubs. And they are around the edges. But 95% of it is how good your players are. So, get good players in the right age group and get them all together. That's where the premiership teams come from. Now, what can Dusty offer? He may be able to offer something. He might put some bums on seats. That's okay. But he might complicate team selection, because that team is stacked with young talent. Dusty's playing someone else isn't. It's a matter of just getting him there, getting him there, and then players can learn off him. And then he goes into that coaching role. But the coaching role would surprise me a little bit, because he's not a full communicator. It's a trivert. But yeah, that's to the outside. I think inside he's obviously loved by all. And I think he talks a lot more to these teammates than he does the outside world. But... Do you see him as a coach? It'd be a strange one, but I reckon if he's fit enough to play, you could learn a lot from his... So do you think it's a good move? I don't think I'd be given a heap away for it. I think it'd be great if they could get him there, but at what cost would be the issue? What do you think, Cos? I just don't see the positive, to be honest, for the Gold Coast. But Damien Harwick knows him better the most, so it might work. Dusty and after eight, Oscar Allen's after the break. Mmm. Oh, hang on. Hang on, it's the top of the world, Tuesday. Don't know, this is the right song. Wait, before you go, go. Oh, wait, I'm going with anyway. What have you heard? Oh, for Silla, is it? Up, up, eight, down, down, down, down, down, down, down. There we go, there we go. How are you, blokes? Come on, the world, Tuesday. Oscar Allen's been kind enough to join us. We love it when the skipper comes on our show. Yeah. I don't know, isn't the skipper? Almost getting sick of him. He's been on everything, Don. Oh, I've heard enough of him. Oscar, good morning. Good morning, guys. How are we? Yeah, really well. Really well. How are you going? Yeah, how are you going? How are you? Yeah, good. Good to be back by and footy. I tell you what, it's harder than I remember it being, but I'm loving being back and really enjoying being around the guys. And obviously, disappointing on the weekend, but happy to be back out there playing in the part of it. Yeah, hey, that wasn't a great performance, but today is Tuesday. Yeah. So yesterday, I'm sure you would have dealt with a lot of that and you move on, you face Melbourne, you've got to get there on to the MCG. You don't get to play a lot of games there, and you get a chance to bounce back. So you must be upbeat about what the rest of the week and Sunday brings. Yeah, absolutely. And to be honest, I'm a bit of a footy enough here. I reckon most guys are playing now at FLR, and we don't get many opportunities to play in the G. So the original home of footy, grand finals play there every year. And if you're playing footy, you want to be there on the last day in September. So a great chance for our young group to have an opportunity to have a run out there. And against the side, who performed well against both of them, we played them. So it's going to be a good challenge for us. Yeah, bang on the money. I mean, Optus Stadium is a brilliant stadium. No worries whatsoever, but there's nothing like being at the MCG. And I don't think all players... Nothing a hundred million dollar makeover won't help, but it's actually a venue itself is good. Yeah, but players playing at the MCG. It's all about playing at the MCG. Hey, tell us, you know, we often hear the reports that, you know, after a long extended time off the game with your injury and that sort of jazz, you get back for your first game and you're feeling really, really good. Second game takes a bit of a toll, though, and it was harder your second run harder than getting up for that than your first. Yeah, definitely. I think you go into a rehab setting and you're doing everything you can to get ready for that first game. And you just can't replicate the knocks and the hits that you take in the game. And then you wake up the Monday morning of last week and you go, "Oh, my God, my back's all my legs." Like everything was sore. But work my way throughout the week and the best thing about it for me was it was a good type of sore. And if you know what I mean by that, in terms of everything with sore, except my knee, which I was like, "Oh, perfect. That's awesome." You know, the best possible result you could have coming back from a somewhat long-term injury. So that was a pleasing aspect of it over the last week, for sure. Yeah, it's that off-played footy against sore. And it's an absolute rip. I did a gig last week with Tommy Barris and Elijah Hewitt. No, Elijah's only probably a week away now. He was two weeks away last week. So he's a week away excited to get him back in. Obviously, he'll probably have to get a game or two under his belt in the waffle, but to be excited to have him back running around through the middle and maybe cross half forward. Yeah, absolutely. What do you bring to our side? Is that real dynamic, modern day football, right? Like I think all the best players in the game are dynamic from stoppage and help get the ball into territory. And that's something he does really well. And he's a young man. He's nine, ten years old. So I think it's going to be really exciting. Eventually, when he gets his game, fitness stuff and plays at senior level, to be out there with the likes of Robes and Harley, TK, Yoey. Hopefully, that's what our midfield will look like for a significant while going forward. Yep, throwing Liam Baker and you've just got him back. Yeah, yeah. He'll catch up with him on the week. Okay, oh, you're good. He won't need to go. Oh, that's what makes us here. Hey, you've kicked two goals nine personally this year. Now, no, I'm not going to be, I'm not being a downer Oscar. On top of the world. On top of the world Tuesday. You're least getting some looks. I would good those two. You're getting some looks Oscar. Two goals nine. Yeah, no, it is a positive and when you're playing forward, all you want to do is to me anyway, just make contest and I'll get looks that go all off the back of that. That's how I've always gone about my footy. And last year, I kicked him really well. And this year so far, I've missed a few that I've watched out back. So that's probably the other thing is being back out there, playing with the fatigue. It's difficult to fatigue when it's the 30th minute of the third quarter. And you've been out there for 100 minutes. And all of a sudden, balls in your hands kick it straight. So that's something that I'll keep working on the training track. But yeah, clearly, I'm not stuck to be out of it. I'll try myself to be good and find the goal and taking opportunities. So yeah, yeah, the way you said, nice to be getting looks at goal in the first place. 53-23 last year. So yeah, it's not far away. Hey, mate, a lot of the response from your Eagles fans, either on social media. And look, I've backed off on social media. I don't know if you know, but I'm an ex off from Twitter. Yeah, and he's a better man for it too. So how do you go when the fans go? We don't want to hear excuses. We don't want to hear, we don't know what's wrong. We don't want to hear, oh, we're working hard at it. What they want to hear is just give us something positive. Be up, beat about what we're doing. You're the skipper. Do you understand their frustration at the same time, the fans? And what can you do about it? What can you as a skipper do about the positive nature of what you're doing at West Coast this year? Yeah, absolutely. We understand it. I mean, we had 50,000 loyal supporters roll up to watch his plans Sunday afternoon. And we really let them down. So to be honest, a lot of the energy that we've brought at home has been due to our fans. And that's why we think we've got some of the best fans in the competition. So we're in debt to them. But as you say, we're a young group and we're developing. We're not taking excuses, I promise you, in our reviews over the last 24 hours, that hasn't been a single excuse to start up. And we've been just asking questions because the difference between our best and our worst the moment is just too far apart. And until we can rectify that, we won't be a consistent side. But as I said, that was probably our first time on the weekend having a somewhat full-strength liner with all the midfielders backing together and me being able to play out full with Jakey and JD. So there's definitely a lot of growth left in the group and we're just trying every week to get better. And this is in a six or eight-week thing. This is a 24, 36-month thing where we're looking to get better for the long term. So when the siren goes in the end of this season, that's not the end of it. While we're just starting our development as a group, and better times ahead, I promise you. Great to hear, mate. And that is top of the world Tuesday sort of stuff that we love here. And you would have been watching Jakey Watermelons go about his work this year. And he's been absolutely sensational. I've loved watching what he's done, mate. So while you're watching him and you're in return, when you come back in the side last week or the week before and then this week, do you have to go right? I'm going to change my role a little bit just because I don't want to take anything away from the season that he's having and how important he's been. Or do you go, we know each other well enough that we will work together well enough? Yeah, it's probably a bit from A&B, to be honest. My mindset coming back into the team has just been, how can I support and help Jake? But also, Jacky and the rest of the forward line as well, and playing in the forward line, it's not about one person. So last year when I was having a good year, it wasn't about me. And this year, it's not completely about Jakey, but in saying that, I'm going to do everything I can to try and help him get as many looks as goal as he can, because he's in great form. He's kicking the ball well. He's got the best hands that I've seen so far in his career. And just as a mate, just been so proud about watching him go about it. When I went down, I was obviously really disappointed watching Jake play and really getting the opportunity to shine as being a real silver lining for me over the last 16 weeks is not playing footy. Eight weeks ago, you did a job on Melbourne. You've just got to take that positive out mindset, don't you? But this is what you can do against Melbourne, albeit it's in Melbourne, MCG. They're not travelling all that flash, but they showed some signs that they might have tipped over, no protractor. Of course, you must go with what you've got available, whether McGovern plays, and we know Flynn's not going to play, but whether he plays not whatever, Jeremy McGovern, you must go there with some positive outlook on going back to back this year against Melbourne. Absolutely. I reckon you've got to go on to every game, knowing that you've got the cattle to be able to not only compete, but beat any team you play. And then, I think particularly, as you said, we played well against them earlier this year. But the game is one in the contest around the contested side of the game. And that's the area we didn't show up in on the weekend. So, you don't go into a game without recognising and acknowledging that. So, that's going to be our main focus. And if we get that right, absolutely, we'll be in a position to compete and swim in the game on the week down. Yeah, we just heard from Jake Waterman, he said, Oscar, can you tell Oscar to keep out of my way? Because the last time I played, I kicked five goals, 17 disposal, 14 kicks, 13 marks, two tackles, and I dominate. Yeah, push-up, push-up, I think he's worth it. Just makes base for me, please. Hey, Oscar, we hope you enjoyed top of the world Tuesday, mate. Yeah, I will. Thanks, Guy. You put me on a positive note, Guy, on a good day. See? Good on you, mate. Thank you. Let's get back, joining us. Thanks, Oscar. Good on you, mate. Appreciate it. No worries. Here he is. Oscar Allen, West Coast Eagles co-captain. It's rubbing off, mate. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, we're getting into the club now and... He'll walk past him. He'll be like, "Hey, it's top of the world Tuesday." He's like, "Okay, good stuff." It's seven away from eight mark, definitely, in after eight o'clock. Dixie Marsh, of course, vice chair of the WA Footy Commission, and we've got Brad Smith tomorrow. So, he's involved in the development pathway of the younger kids, the 14s and the 15s. How's that being funded? What the future is for that sort of... Do you have to be positive tomorrow? Yeah, we do. We do. Well, we'll just get a message of, mate. He can't be gone hardly. He's just going to come in and be pumping it up and we're going to try and help him and find out where the next kids are. Interesting that Duff mentioned, it's not just footballs. They've got to tap into other markets as well. Appreciate your time today, everybody. Thanks for listening to us on a positive Tuesday. It is top of the world Tuesday. Have a great day. Today, Tuesday, June 2, if you don't know. Wow, what's in that again? All righty. Oh no, don't Chris. Well, I'm Griff. I don't care when the day that lied ahead of me seemed impossible to feel. When someone else says that I've been, always seems to know the way. Then I look at you.
