[Music] It's Scotty and Ghost of Breakfast. [Music] Morning everyone, 4x6 took a depot studio for the next two hours heading for the top of 25.4 currently. Sonos, multi-room listening, wireless home theatre and more experience game-changing sound this season with Sonos Scotty Cummings is here after we enjoyed what was a pretty hard watch at up to study him yesterday. Scotty, good morning. Hello mate, how are you? Yeah, very well. I've settled a little bit. I got cranky during the call yesterday because that was as far back as backward steps that they've taken for a while. It was 2022 stuff. It was 2023 stuff and it was hard to watch. It was hard to commentate. It was hard to be find a positive anywhere. In fact, I did not find one passage of play, one moment in a game that gave any hope or anything that you'd be happy about in the review. 131255, straightaway Eagles fans. I know we are a text station in breakfast show. A lot of people take the text option because they're busy or whatever. I want to get your voices on the radio this morning. I know there'll be fans out there. There could be no Scotty's a Hawthorne fan, so he might want to call. But if you're an Eagles fan or Dockers fan, today we want to hear from you. 131255, Toolkit Depot, open line is the number. You can text. Of course, that's going to happen too at the temporary bed shed, text 0487736, but are you angry? Are you angry? Are you disappointed? What didn't you like? What didn't you like out of your Fremantle Dockers and Eagles performances today? Let's open it up straightaway. 131255 is the number. I think it's time to vent spleens because that was just so bad. I didn't see that coming at all, Goss. We actually went in and we hadn't been saying for a long time. Everyone's been saying it. It's right before your eyes it's a Hawthorne are a good side. They're a very good side and they're knocking on the door of the eight. But when going into that game, you're like, "I'll give West Coast a chance to make this really competitive. I think this will be a pretty tight contest for a lot of it. Hawthorne might get away by three goals." I think we said before the game. That was it. It was so bad. So many passengers, so many players just didn't offer a Yelp. I would have thought too, and I think one of the disappointing things is that you've got a player in L.E.A.O. who could have very easily and would have been absolutely understandable to sit that one out and not in the space, but he said, "No, no, I'm out there. I'm going. I want to play. My dad would have wanted me to play on play." And for them to just offer nothing, they had something to play for. They had something to show some spirit about, and there was zero spirit, zero. As I said, there was not one passage of playing that game, Goss. Not one moment where you could say, "Let's show this in the review." We're throwing Goss Lotto out there this morning, because tomorrow there is a big draw. I think it's $30 million to $20 million. Actually, he holds a lot of hard to win, but you tell you when you do get it while you nail it. 131255, he's one to be a part of it. 131255, Goss a lot on it. You've still here, Morgan? John, I've died now. John, good morning. Morning, fellas. I'm not dying out there anymore. Oh, where are you now again? Oh, I do. Have you moved without letting Goss know? Well, that's funny. You can say, "You know what, Johnny? Johnny, you know what? We've just changed it on our phone dial. That's the fourth time we've changed it all in the past three weeks. But John, did you know that Channel 10 was Dinella? Channel 9 was Dinella, and Channel 7 was Stewart Hill, and they're in virtually the same complex. Yeah, well, where I'm right now, there's a roundabout that separates the old time to Dinella. And at the house on the corner, I'm pretty sure they're in two LDA lit, legit. It's very bizarre. I can't get it on. I can't get it on. Both councils try to hit them up for rates. Yeah, 100%. Now, you're an Eagles man, and I know you've had a bit to say on the text line this morning, but you're giving us a call and we appreciate it. Tell us your thoughts. I don't, the whole thing about all lots of changes that in jail, I mean, you've been training pre-season together. I don't buy that. The lack of pressure was just terrible. That's so far backwards. Just, there was nothing, no heart, no nothing. Heads were down. I just don't know. I just, that's a coach killer. That's what gets coaches that performance is like that. Yeah, post game. He was a pretty serious consulate. He tried, didn't try to sugarcoat. March, he did command LEO for fronting up, and of course, Tom Barras and Jeremy McGovern, and we're going to really dissect this after seven o'clock with Hammer as well. But yeah, Scottie, do you do a subscribe to the coach killer from John? Yeah, that one really hurt. And we've certainly been defenders of Simo, and that one hurts him as well. There's no doubt about that. There's just no excuse for that effort. There was no rhyme or reason for that. And that one will, unfortunately, and we will always say, too, the coach isn't the one that has to put his head over the footy. The coach isn't the one that has to run two ways. The coach isn't the one that misses kicks or misses goals. But if the players don't do it, is it because the messaging is not right or but they had a match plan to get Tom Cole said post game. We had a game plan. The coach gets set up a game plan. We knew the game plan. We didn't need to go to the game. Well, the fact is, too, sometimes you cannot execute the game plan because you haven't got your hands on the footy, and they weren't winning it. We said before the game, it was going to revolve around Senate clearances and stoppages where Hawthorne had a bit of an edge. The Eagles had to be better. It's going to revolve around contested footy. And the stoppages were indeed contested footy. They lost by 24, but then they wouldn't spread either. So they didn't run. So their work rate was terrible. They lost uncontested possessions by 115. So that's a work rate thing. And clearances were 38 to 21. Senate clearances were 14 to 4. So you can have the game plan in your life. But if you don't have the mindset, and the mindset probably has to come from the coach as well. So unfortunately, for Simo, he's going to be under the pressure this week. Harlem's online. Morning, gentlemen. How are we? Well, we're well. Doc is at a gutsy win. What are your thoughts there? Do you think you're the real deal? Yeah, I've got three things. My man's dirt's been solid on his return. He was. I also love how Tracy gets so excited when a team makes those like good. Yep. Big fans and his draper a chance for a rising nomination. He was great light. He was good all day, but he was great light. If he, I thought he was terrific. If he doesn't have one, then he should have one. Because when you're talking about moments in a game, and when you look at the whole picture, too, he comes in because his skipper's gone. He's in his 13th game of football. And what he did in crucial moments absolutely has rising star all over it. Nice work by you, Harlem. Thank you. You're in the draw $20 million to night. Tom Owen Bunbury tough game to swallow yesterday. The faith is being tested. I didn't need a win, but I needed a bloody effort. And it looked like it was too hard for most to give it, not too many with their heads held high. I think that's the general consensus, Tom. A nice text by you. Kingsley, Darryl's online. Darryl, good morning. Good morning. I just want to praise Nat Fife for his selfless display on the weekend. The job role that he did on Heaney and did everything that he could to obviously inspire a great win and just strive for what an absolute star. Spoke about Nat Fife, pro game, and that is the role he has to play. That is the role. He had 23. It's only six of those were kicks, the 17 handballs, but he got in, won that footy at the source and fed it out to people who are more dangerous with their foot skills. And that is exactly the role he has to play week in week out. And if he can do that, then all of a sudden you see a damaging they can become hats off. Because when he, I criticize him a lot for certain things, especially his kicking, but that is the role that keeps him in the side and makes him absolutely valuable. All right, a nice call by you. Delo is a good call. You're in the draw. $20 million if anyone calls to have their say. We're talking all things, Eagles and Dockers from the weekend. We're not just going after the Eagles. We want to make sure Fremantle get their just desserts after their incredible performance to beat the, well, the top ladder leaders, Sydney, who are now just two games clear at the top. Lisa's in Ellenbrook. Thanks for your patience. Lisa. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Good morning, Scotty. Well done to Fremantle. They deserve that win. They were in front all day, so well done to them. With the Eagles, I am completely lost forwards. What they dished up yesterday was an absolute insipid effort and not to take a mark in their forward in the last quarter. I just beg his beliefs, guys. I don't know what's going on down there. There's something terribly, terribly wrong. The players don't look happy. So I think it's time for Don Pike to have a look at everything of what's going on. I don't know what they're going to do with the board because I think they're a pathetic bunch. So yeah, I don't know. I have no idea. But it was very, very disappointing yesterday. Well, there's a change at the top with the chairman. So that's going to happen anyway. But he was the chairman and it's stuck by Adam Simpson when the pressure was on. And again, the pressure is going to come to bear. We're getting information. Thank you, Lisa. You're in the draw. We're getting information that the assistant coaches have been told. There's no chat about contracts going forward. So don't come to us. So there was no negotiations to who's going to be the assistant coaches going forward. It was one thing that was interesting. And you talk about when things are really good, when things are really good at all the assistant coaches are amazing. You've got great support behind the senior coach. And when things are really bad, it's a senior coach. Senior coach, senior coach, it's a collective. There's no doubt. It's an absolute collective. But and I saw a couple of messages come through that in 2018 when the Eagles won the flag. Sam Mitchell was in the box. And as an assistant, how much, why or how much input he had? Let's go if he was going on record to say Sam Mitchell was the main man behind that success. It was about seven players that went straight to Sam Mitchell after the game. Seven Eagles players that went over to Sam Mitchell and had a chat and a bit of a muck around with him and hugs and that sort of stuff. Catch. I'm sorry. They've got a relationship, but he's got a relationship. And Adrian Hickman was a part of it as well. And Hick came over and said good day to about six or seven of them. If I was the Eagles right then, it would have been here's a footy to give to the crowd. I'm sorry, but I'm giving it to the person closest to the race. Get your asses inside. I watched that yesterday. And look, I understand footy cups have an obligation to, and the fans have been amazing. And you know what, the ones that stayed, they deserved more than a rubber football. 49,500 yesterday was a terrific turner, beautiful day for footy. And as I mentioned, whether winners and losers, I'm going to mention one of my winners from the weekend in regards to what happened year yesterday. But I did feel like there wasn't a lot of, I don't want false disgust and false anger and false disappointment. I don't want to see that. But I kept it on a very close eye on that Eagles playing group. And I know post-game we spoke to Tom Cole and there's been other post-game interviews, but and Tom Cole was very emotional about it and disappointed. But the body language and the distitulation of the faces of the players, it didn't look like they were absolutely chronically hurting. Yeah, and that's the biggest thing. I might have got it wrong. It's just, yeah, that's the one, not body language experts. But, and it's, you know, you don't, you don't soak and drop the bottom lip. But it's got to hurt you a little bit, that sort of thing for sure. And if you know, if you've got a mate in the opposition, fantastic, go over, shake hands. But the only words are, when you've had a game like that is, I might, are we catching up afterwards? I'll ring it, I'll ring it tonight. Oh, I'll go with you tomorrow, mate. But, well done. Good job. Good to see you. I'll see you later. It is July 1. Happy birthday, if you're celebrating a birthday, that's still to come on this day. It is International Joke Day, believe it or not? Oh, no, I know. And that's, you know, International Joke Day, not Dad Joke Day. And Mike from Palmyra would appreciate that, and he's online. Mike, you're in the draw for the Lotto 20 million dollars. Good morning. Hey boys, how are you? Yeah, it's International Joke Day. Oh, mate, fantastic. Do not encourage him, Mike. What are your thoughts, mate? Your team was pretty darn good. No tears, worries. How good is the kid? It was good, wasn't he? He was damn good. Oh, he'd be in there for every week. Yeah, well, he got his spot. I thought he was a little bit shaky when he lost his spot, but to hats off to him, they come in in such a big game. And especially down the stretch where they were pumping it in, McLean was terrible for Sydney. Wow, he should have dominated him. He's got 20 kilos on him, probably 50 centimetres. He played him on a break. He played in front of him. Yeah, did. All day. Anyway, you'd be happy, Mike. You're on Mike. He was absolutely brilliant. You're in the draw once. I think we said last week, too. And he said, "Oh, Draper comes in, he said, "Oh, Draper's just been dropped. He's just been dropped because of form." And has to, he comes back now after a game. How does he react to that? How does he respond to that? Well, he just showed mental strength that many don't because he said, "Okay, no worries. I'm back on this side. I'm going to do a job, and he did it so well." Exactly right. One more call before we go to the break and come back with our winners and losers. Dave's in Bunbury. G'day, Dave. Always good to chat. Morning, boys. How are you? Good, Dave. How are you, mate? I'm all right, boys. I think I've found what the issue is. Right, I'm interested. I've been to five home games this year, boys. And we've lost all five. And the three I didn't go to, we won. Okay, there it is. There it is. I think it's me, boys. I want to apologize to every other Eagles fan and the coaching staff, and I'll be getting a hold of Simmer and let him know I won't be there for the rest of the year. I'm sorry, everybody. It's me. That's the sort of sacrifice that people need to make for their team. It's my fault. I'm going to sit out the rest of the seats. Nice work, Dave. Thank you, Dave. Don't forget, grab 24 chicken McNuggets for $9.95. Get more for your money at Mackers. Move. What's talking about the Dockers? G'day, move. Hey, boys. How are we? We're going strong, man. What are your thoughts on the weekend, mate? Yeah. Oh, look, I just want to give a big praise to the Dockers. We feel quite clear that what they did to the big three of Sydney, but it just denied them space. And, you know, they're sort of positioning out with way down on what they usually run out with to the world. I mean, you have a terrible breakup. Yeah. Awesome. Absolutely. Awesome. We've got to have Hamish Bracial talking about his brother after seven. You know, the thing is sometimes, you know, you can beat players. There's no worries whatsoever. Those three in there, as we said, they're in the top 10 best players in the competition. They got through them in one position on the ground. But to beat them all day, like no teams were not able to do that. When they've been tested, Sydney, they've put score on the board so quickly. And it's driven from Gordon Heaney Warner. But they went all out there. Fremantle midfield and team defensive work on those players was outstanding. And then it's the absolute blueprint. Everyone who called is in the draw for the $20 million Lotto tomorrow. It is Oz a lot. It is international joke day. So we go to the break with something to have a bit of a chuckle to. We've got plenty of text coming through as well. Our winners and losers are just around the corner. Three weeks ago, three weeks ago, I sent my hearing aid off for a pair. And I've heard nothing since. Scotty from Bayswater, he'll be up and about. And there's the song for him. Any team that wears Brown deserves a good song. Scotty, good morning. Congratulations. Especially when it's mixed with Goldgoth. Thank you very much. Very nice. So we're good to get you there. Exciting to watch. I mean, I know you watch them a lot online and like we do on TV, but you are a rusted on Hawthorn man. But to see them live yesterday was really exciting. Oh, man, it was. I had some really nice seats on the wing too. So it was great to see the play unfold. People want to have a look at things. Harry Morrison came on as a sub and took her 16 possession. Have a look at how that compares to some of the West Coast. Correct. It was and Kelsey Diaz, Chris was working the boundary line and apparently Kelsey was going to be subbed off anyway, but got a whack just before he got subbed off. The timing wasn't right. But yeah, it was a Morrison. You're right. Morrison can play anywhere. He can play small forward. He can play running meat or he can play off half back. He can look like he's in Mitchell. Yeah. Yeah. It was a very good call. You make Scotty. I agree. Harry Morrison was certainly the up. What else he got? Oh, the just the defensive running of West Coast. Honestly, like I wasn't there. Yeah, like I was. And then, you know, you see the young superstar kick one out on the fallen of his teammates. So that a bit of the horn Francis is at North. Yeah, a little bit frustrating. Well, yeah, he'll learn. He'll learn. I've got a bit to say that. There are. There are. I'm telling you now, there are a couple of similarities like there is like I mean, he'd look so preoccupied in things that don't help him play footy. Physicality, that sort of thing, complaining to umpires, hands out to umpires all the time when it hasn't gone his way. I don't think he's that sort of person, but it looks petulant. It looks belligerent, and it's just, optically, it looks poor. Yeah. Yeah. Great. He's just got to concentrate on what makes him, makes him good. But he, I don't, he had 21 yesterday, but I don't think it was. It was the most contested possessions he's had in the game. Yeah. Fourteen. Interesting, but he wasn't great. And I will say this, I think the Eagles missed a trick yesterday with Harley Reid. I'm going to spend a little bit later. I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll go deeper after seven when Hammer comes in, but I don't talk about with me. I do think that Harley Reid, we see only the good things that the Eagles dish out about Harley Reid, and they want us to protect him. And that's been come from their coach, you know, protect, protect, protect. But is that life? He should, he should speak. So, okay, might have been too raw to speak yesterday, but they put out a lot of other players, and we're under the Eagles, but they have to. There's an obligation to put out players even after a loss. But I think Harley Reid, for the betterment of his development as a young man, as an AFL superstar that he is, and we love him, can't just be all about every time they win, or he does something well, we speak to Harley Reid. That's life, isn't it? We'll try to have about it, but it's, it's just the reflection of life for young blokes now. Everything has to be good. Otherwise, you know, we might upset them. And the Eagles do listen, and I know they'll take it on board stocks. He will be listening, and he'll take it on board that I do believe Harley Reid should front the media at times, even in a loss. Brendan, he's online. What's talking about the hook? G'day, Brendan. Good. Brendan, are you happy with the Hawks, man? Pretty happy? Yeah. It wasn't really much a take from yesterday, wasn't it? Well, hang on, hang on. I can feel some fishing going on. Oh, you know what? West Coast weren't at their best, Jeff. No, absolutely horrible. But again, Hawthorne didn't allow them to be any good. I'd loved the way that they played. We called a bold and brash, you know, a week, a couple of weeks ago, but it's just these young guys that most of them could walk past you over here, and you wouldn't know who they were, and they just play with this real vigor about them, don't they? And some real desperation. They're entertaining as well. 100% one of the most watchable right now. Good on your Brando from Lansdale. Morning, boys. That's as good of a discipline performance from a team I've seen for a very long time to do that. The SCG, talking about the Dockers, outstanding, those at the top wins that take teams to the promised land. Now on to the next. Hopefully to get a big percentage boost, have a good one, boys. Josh from Rockingham. Good on you, Josh. Thank you for texting. Ricky in Carumbine has been waiting. He's going to take us up to the news. G'day, Rick. Morning's got to end off. Thanks for having me on. Yeah, you're a Hawks man, but you want to talk more about West Coast? Yeah, so look, very happy Hawks man, but never get old, beating them. And I think it was a bit of a touch up over here. But my question is around, who do they have as a tagger? That can either play on the opposition's best standard such as this, or someone like Will Day as well. Because I found it very strange why they, you know, the team that I was doing is why you wouldn't go to the source. And so like it's this way, it's always instrumental in Hawthorne's wins, like why they wouldn't go there and who could they use in that sort of role. Yeah, Rick, you're banging on. There was so many times that James Sicily was left as a, basically as a spare, where she goes pushing someone up to the contest and leaving Sicily behind the keep behind the player. And I'll send you in the course. And you do not want that. There's the worst thing you can have, because one, he doesn't get beaten in a one-on-one contest. And two, when he's got the ball in his hands, something good happens for, then his kicking is absolutely elite. So to give him that much time and space was a strange one for me. I'd rather make it all square at the contest than to leave him free kick behind. It's a very good call, you make. And Ricky, so there it is there. So if any Eagles fans out there to follow on Ricky's question, who do they have to play a defensive forward role on James Sicily and just man up? But it goes back to the midfield. They didn't get the ball inside 50 enough. But they also just glazed away. They just slapped it on the boot. It was really, really ordinary. And then Chesa had no impact on the game. Well, zero. And there's a, I think it's a really big concern there. And the fact is that when you're playing loose amount of times that people were free in the Hawthorne forward line, when your midfield is putting on pressure, you can avoid, you can afford that space because you've got time to get there. When there was no pressure on, you get carved up every time. What a start. Thank you to everyone. You're all in the draw. Everyone who called is in the draw for our $20 million loss Lotto for tomorrow. Sonos, multi-room listening, wireless home theater and more experience, game-changing sound this season with Sonos. Fantastic. You all called on the number, of course, 13, 12, 55, took a depot open line. Let's get a breakaway. We've got winners and losers. We've got on this day. We've got Monday with Ryan. We've got to go around the country and have a break. You're after seven. Wow, it doesn't stop. Yes. So many calls and so many texts. Thank you to everyone. A lot of new ones as well, which is absolutely brilliant. Let's get through our winners and losers as it stands right now. My winners and losers and my premier wooden spoon, Brownlow and then Scotty will do his. My premier is free, man. I thought I was absolutely gutties, anything. One point win. I thought they were gone. I think Logan McDonald was just going to hit the score, but at least draw it. I think Fremantle would have been robbed to not get the points. They're now third on the ladder. My wooden spurner is West Coast. They were horrible. Brownlow is Crips and my rising star, I'm going to go with the weight of numbers, Josh Draper. I thought he was simply outstanding. And when the game was on the line, he was Alex Pearce revisited. So premier is Fremantle, wooden spurner West Coast. Brownlow is Crips for 40 touches and rising star Josh Draper. All right. It's very hard to disagree with any of that. That's what I have written in front of me, Freo, Premier Spoon, and Eagles just disgusting yesterday. Brownlow, Paddy Crips, 40 possessions, 14 clearances, 9 inside 50s. I'll throw in Josh Draper should win it this week, the nomination. But I'm going to throw another bike who I think will win it, and that's only Dempsey. I think you'll win at the end of the year, 25 and 2 on the wing. He's an absolute star, but Josh Draper deserves the nod this week. All righty. For me, my losers will be, well, they just fell so far off the perch. They've got to put him in as a loser as well, apart from the wooden spurner West Coast. Absolutely. That was just one collective losing performance and it did so much more. And it concerns me how you bounce back from that. All righty. Another loser was channel 70 at a post game show. Righty. I'm going to play this later in the show as well with Hammon. He comes in because he was a part of it. So, Mark readings is on with Ben Cousins and Hammerbrae Short, the post game, whatever it's called, the game, the game. It's on Channel 7. They threw down to a young man who's just making his move in media. His name is Locky Burn. Good luck to Locky. He's going to rise to fame because he thought he was being pre-recorded when he interviewed Brady Hoff. He's been very good all year. He's still learning the voice, but he's been exceptional. He's with Brady Hoff. Thanks, boys, for spreading half. Thanks for your time. It seemed like we ever looked. It seemed like, don't worry again. So I had to talk to me, and I just go up the top. Thanks, boys, for spreading half. Thanks for your time. So he blamed me, a director, for talking in his ear. Yeah, they'd talk to me, man. Yeah, which is telling me some, boy. I'll start again. So anyway, well done, Locky. So he dropped the f-bomb live on TV. I wish we were there to see his face when they said, "Hey, that's live." Yeah. What? Yeah. So what? There was a bit of that. Anyway, well done to the young fellow he battled through. Yeah, it'd be fun. That's my losers. All right, mind, obviously. This is the hardest game in the world at Umpire, but at the moment, the Umpires are losing the battle, so inconsistent, too many differing interpretations. Players are confused, coaches are confused, fans are confused, and the most alarming thing I think is the umpires are confused. It is just so bad at the moment. I've also thrown the joints in there as well. Six losses from the past eight. That was six and two after round seven. Keep your mind opening round if you're doing your maths. But those six and two, they've lost six from the eight. They are off the radar like this now tomorrow, but Eagles, umpiring in giants. Mine, winners now, Optus Stadium's surface. I know it wasn't ideal. It was still a little slippery, but we didn't talk about it much yesterday, to be honest. Didn't have an impact. So painted grass, it may be, but I think West Coast had bigger fish to fry right there. Jack Ginnovan, I just think he's just better than a small forward. I think he just added something. It was good, wasn't he? He tracks a crowd. They go after him. He just bounces back up. Geez, they're off. Like him a lot, like what I saw with him yesterday. And the other one I want to make mention, about a month ago, Jeremy Sharp had a shot to win a game really quickly, snapped for the game. He did, and he drew, and he was disappointed with his point. He kicked a point from the boundary against the Sydney Swans, and they win by a point. If he doesn't kick a point, they don't win. Jeremy, when it goes around, comes around, my young man. He walks off the ground going on the difference. Exactly right. So there it is there. It's amazing what a point can do. What on the Jeremy Sharp, he's among the wild winners. Yeah, one of my winners is Chris Scott. You know, we bemoan the fact that coaches are so set in their ways that I throw magnets around. Chris Scott made some changes. His side was on the absolute slide. He tossed the magnets around. Steward in the middle, who was getting tagged down back. Homes went back to half back. He was good in the middle, but for a long part of the season, but he's gone back to half back. Blick-saves forward. Through the magnets around, changed it all up. Jury's still out on Essenan, where they sit, but they were really, really good. Josh Draper is my other winner. And I just stepped up in his 13th game. Just what he did in those moments with Brilliant. And my last one, you know, I'm a sucker for a feel-good one. Oh, I can feel tears coming up. Oh, they're almost teared up on the couch listening to this young man. And it, again, it's another thing that AFL players do so many great things for people that don't get noticed or pat's on the back, and that's not why they do it. But we should acknowledge them when they do great things. And Dyson Hepple has been doing. It's changed the young man's life, his name's Harrison. Have a listen to him presenting Dyson Hepple with his jumper for his 250th game. What have you got for me? When we met in 2018, around game 140, I feel honoured that you have cleared me in your AFL career. Everyone at Essenan FC are so lucky to play with you. You make us all feel special in our own way. We have shared special moments together, like running through the banner. I know that you at the TV watching the game at home. We love you because you put a smile on everyone's face. And when you come into my life, you made a life worth living. Congratulations Dyson Hepple, or Dyson. I hope your heart is full, like my gold boners. Brilliant stuff, brilliant stuff. Young for those of you know, Harrison Pinnicott suffers from Sclera Dermatt, which you can't go out in the sun, basically, so you're going to stay indoors. He's had a tough trot, and those words you make life worth living. Yeah, beautiful stuff. Your heart is full, like mine. What a beautiful thing. Ray, we saw you on socials yesterday. You're very bullish about your team at Fremantle. You've called them out a couple of times. You must be pleased with what they dished up on the weekend. Very pleasantly surprised. Boys, all I can say, that's a club win. Meticulous planning by the coaching staff. Their plan was executed to absolute precision by the boys. And that first two and a half quarters really, I think that's a sign of how good we can be. Now, can we be that good consistently? Well, we're going to find out in the next five or six weeks. Yeah, just quickly. When Alex Pierce was ruled out for a month, and Josh Draper came back in, all the Josh Rapers played some good signs, were you still concerned down back that was going to be a no-pierce, no free medal? I was concerned enough to tip Sydney, like the rest of Australia, including Hamish Broshaw, a bit of a drive-by. I said we had no chance. But no, look, I was not saying I wasn't a fan. Yeah, I gave him a clip a couple of weeks ago, but created to the kitty back himself and proved that he was going to make it. But I just saw it like I said, for two and a half quarters, we had all the answers. We felt the pressure a bit, but we didn't fold to get away with the four points. It was absolutely huge. And yeah, it sets us up now. The back half of the season, as it's been said, hopefully we get four points, plus a bit of percentage this week, just to keep ourselves in the hunt. And then we're not relying on anybody else. We take control of our own destiny, and let's see what happens. Nice work, right? There it is. Nice shortens the sink, the man, the police purple. Been critical of them, but today he's very much in the camp of the free medal football club. Let's go around the country after the break. After seven o'clock, Hamish Broshaw, we got to talk to him about free medal. We're there at his brother, who was in doubt going into the game. We'll touch on the West Coast Eagles, I'm sure. A whole lot more still to come. And there's plenty going on on the text line. Everyone's happy, everyone's up and about with the free medal lockers, but downcast with West Coast. Scotty and Goss, heading for a top of 20 at six degrees. It's 18 away from seven. Let's go around the country because we love doing this. Fishwhiting is on line. Of course, don't forget nutrient water, your destination for all things water. 20 sunny today, 19 showers, and then sunny, and mostly sunny, your irrigation pump and filtration products, especially since nutrient water. Visit nutrientwaterstore.com.au. Are you happy up in Queensland? Wow, I mean, mixed bag around the grounds today. I've got the daily double up there. I reckon fish. You're being in a good mood and everything sunny and rosy in Queensland. Very good mood. It doesn't happen too often. The year's both teams winning. So great win for the sun, particularly beating the frame ears and having to overturn. Colleen would leave late in the back. It doesn't happen too often, so I'll take a ton of confidence out of that. Of course, they got the road worries coming up this weekend, but such a monumental swing for the sun, particularly. Well, one thing they did do is they didn't go into game-saving mode. They said, "We're just going to play our footy the whole time." So many teams go into game-saving mode against the pies when they're on a run, but the sun showed enormous courage and, I guess, conviction of the game plan to say, "No, keep playing the way we play." Yeah, they did, and some of their leaders, the mid-year leaders, were very important, and they were Anderson, particularly, Duke Miller. But what I liked was that the role players stood up when it counted Bo Deuland, won a big one-on-one contest on the wing, and it led to a bend-long goal. A couple of role players standing up when the team really needed them. So they'll take a ton of confidence out of that. They got North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium this weekend. Can they break their duck on the road? Surely. Surely they do. Sure, they have to. Hey, Brisbane are back in the eight, unbelievably back in the eight, and they've got it all together. And great signs, too. They're getting a couple of players back, Ashcroft, being the main one. Absolutely. I think they showed us something that they haven't done too often in the last five or six years, as well. For all the success, they've had in all the wins. They haven't often had to overturn three and four-nold deficits after half-time. They showed a little bit of maturity, and they weren't playing their best footy, and it was just great to see Will Ashcroft out there. He came on as the game progressed, and you can see what he had for the team, clever around stoppages. Really good for you during the front half of the ground. So, yeah, everything's pointing up for the line. AFL.com.au, Michael Whiting. Fish Whiting always joins us here. Good to this time from Queensland. Michael Angelo Ritchie, the run home with Kimbo and Rich on SCN, of course. Well, are they all happy there, too? Oh, are they ever? They got the daily double, as well. Adelaide was too good for GWS and Port Adelaide in the worst game ever viewed in my human being. He's here, but wins a win. Yeah, that's it. They get the points, both of them. So, a bit of calmness now comes to Port, and Matthew Nix gets another week where he's not in the headlines, perhaps. So, yeah, things are calmer in Adelaide. What are they going to write about? What are they going to speak about? Most coaches get a week off. Ah, look, there's always issues of who have played a game to get, not only as players, but also as coaches. So, it's a fair bit of speculation about just how much Matthew Nix is going to change his coaching panel next year. So, there's always, there's always an angle with Adelaide. I can assure you of that. Ken Inglies, post-game interview, was a beauty, reach a real human side of it, and I don't think that all appears too many at Elwooden, but it was a good chat. Yeah, look, as you see, the toll that that week took, extraordinary one, where you get a board member who won't try to raise an interesting person at the moment, whereby it spent a week on radio in Adelaide, and then become a lighting right for all the Port Adelaide fans who've fented. And then the famous good call controversy that came with. One of those ring-ins. Yeah, it was always going to take a toll on Ken Inglie, the speculation of just where he stands and what sort of support he has at Port Adelaide. So, what you see is Coach, who has, for all of his career, had a strong bond with his players and general reaction from his players in year. And again, it wasn't great to watch, but it was great to see that they weren't going to just roll over. Yeah, 100% true. It was a stinker to watch, but hats off. And just is the premise and points that Port Adelaide needed. Good on your route to run home with Kimbo and Rooch. Love when he comes on and just snaps away and gives us the, what's been taking place over there in Adelaide. Let's head to Sydney now, a New South Wales, Coach Sports, Lachie McCurdy is on a line, mixed results. In fact, no, bad day full stop, nothing going on up there. How are we going to stick enjoyed for footy? Glad we got you on, McCurdy. Okay, good morning, boys. Good to be here on a, not quite as good circumstances, but what's happened comes around eventually. All righty, so no real heat on Sydney, but plenty of heat on GWS. That was pretty poor. And they ride in the mix to miss now when many people had them top four lock. Yeah, I think that was a really disappointing result from the Giants. They would have gone down there expecting to be able to beat a crow's side, who was in the bottom four before the game. So yeah, just the way they lost, I think, was really disappointing. Their attack is just not functioning well at the moment, and the things that they did so well last year, the runs of the prealy and final just aren't happening at the moment. So, and what about the Sydney Swans? How do they dust themselves off? I mean, people expect them to, they place and kill to who don't score. So Sydney are going to be pretty angry. Yeah, I think you can take a look at that game two ways. You can only go, "Wow, Sydney weren't great, but still got within one point." But then finally, those slow starts kind of came back to haunt them a little bit. So it might be a little bit of a wake-up call that they needed to go, "Okay, we really need to sort that problem out before September gets here." But yeah, I don't think there's too many warding sides, considering they still had a chance to win the game. Yeah, the loss that they have to have, apparently? No, it's very hard to be up for 12, 13, 14 weeks and playing a lead. You still want to leave with it, don't you? I absolutely do, but it's boarding on physically and mentally impossible. Well, I like it. They've done enough, though. They've done enough, so still be absolutely sitting on top of the tree. We'll be riding and reading all that stuff on code sport. Of course, Mark Duffield is at WA Correspondent, along with the Lions. O'Reilly, lucky McCurdy, does a great job in New South Wales. After seven o'clock, he's just waltzed in. He's not feeling exactly flashed today. That's a bit, a little bit croaky and sniffly. Yes, flat, hang. It's not normally. Well, he's Perth's one. Yeah, with the rabbit one. What's he miserable at? I don't know. Oh, anyway, it looks pretty miserable out there. Yeah, I just get the feeling he's going to go the knuckle today. Breakfast power by Kubota, take on any job with Kubota's range of tractors, mowers and utility vehicles. Hamish brayshore in the studio for West Coast Poly. Complete tank solutions. Complete tank solutions. Thanks for agriculture, residential and industry. Westcoastpoly.com.au. Always like talking footy on a Monday after seven o'clock with Hamish brayshore is in the studio. The Royals had a win. Swans had a win. So we're all good. We're all happy. We're all good. Everything's just rosy right now. We're trying to forget everything else that happened on the way. Claim on how to win as well, which is basically your tank, because they pay you the most out of it. (LAUGHTER) Oh, they're a good club, the mighty Tigers. A good club. Welcome to you, first and foremost. Thank you. Fremantle outstanding. Oh, yeah, oh, good. This morning already, but gee, they were tough. They were really good. They, I was, I played golf with Andrew yesterday and we were speaking about the game. And they emptied the clip in the first half. They just said that's what he just put everything that we had into it to get ourselves into a position. And then what they held on, they didn't, they didn't press the last quarter, but they were in a position where with 10 minutes to go, they were only a kick and a bit up. And they were able to hold on. So they, they did the work they needed to do. And geez, it was a good win. Did he care about any shot that he hit yesterday for you? The howl it would have just gone. Thank you. Couldn't get less of his latency near one point up. Can you shed some light on the intrigue about his fitness in the lead up to the game? There was some talking out now. Post game, it was all about a toenail coming off and he couldn't run and saw and he set it on air. I think he said, I couldn't kick the ball in the last 15 minutes, it was too sore. Then there were cameras at training of him running up and down and clearly limping and going to the side now. I don't know whether coaches still play that game and clubs still play that game. But was he in doubt going in or was it, was it just a toe? I think it was just that he was crook the week before. I think he had COVID two and a half weeks ago coming off the by. And then this toenails, I've had an ingrown toenail, I've ripped a toenail, they're the worst injury ever because you just look like you're such a soak. It's you're looping, you're running around, you're not kicking and it's like, what is it, mate? It's just, it is there, the pain. I believe it was just a toe. I haven't really asked him too much more in detail, but it's, yeah, from what I understand it, that's all it was. And they're worse than snapping an ACL. They're shocking. It's a cut of shoulder. 'Cause you can't say anything, oh, sorry, I counted it. I tried, I did a pre-season session with a toenail that was infected and ingrown and had to go to the doctor for it. I did one session in pre-season, but we had to put my runner on my left foot and a boot on my right foot. 'Cause the boot was too tight. I was like, I was wearing a runner and a boot. It was unbelievable. The issue is, you just cannot say anything. No, you can't. Imagine having your name in the ring, but ratio out ingrown toner. All righty, and what about this moment, of course, because at the end of the game, they're up by a point, Logan McDonald, the Perth boy, and we love Logan. - Yeah. - We love his old man. - He doesn't want to see that vision again, though. - He went back from 50 or so, out a lot further, then he went into some debate with the umpire about swinging around. - Yeah, it was physical. - And the umpires, don't they get in mind? They're getting your head. They're stuck talking, oh, don't do you? - He's letting get in his head, didn't he? - He did. - And they don't do that normally in the game. - No, they don't. - So why does they come up to them at the end because the thing after you play on after the siren, blue bar bloke, anyway, he didn't hit it at all. And Andrew Brayshaw, who was the game day captain, was pretty happy, I reckon. - He's going to kick from 52 metres. Logan McDonald comes in. The game on his boot. The drop points on his way, it won't ever get anywhere near it. It's a shocking kick. They keep it away from the line, and free medal of defeated Sydney in a remarkable game at the FCG. - Yeah, and he's captain. - He was. He loved it. He said yesterday, he said it was a lot more mentally and physically draining than he thought it would have been for his first time around. And I think a lot of the time in the lead up to a game, Alex Pearce and JL will sort of lead all the meetings and give all the information. And obviously the captain's the conduit of the leadership group. So he would still be in those other meetings, but the delivery to the players was all left to JL and Alex Pearce. But that was him this weekend. So he had to have a lot more meetings with the playing group. He had to have a lot more discussion. The pre-game meeting, on the ground meeting, the half-time meeting. It was a lot of rararar for him, but he just said it's not a whole heap more to think about, but he's like, there was quite a few extra things that I had to do. And he's like, it was a bit more mentally draining than otherwise would have thought. - They could probably bury you. If you got inside your own head. - Oh, yeah. - You could easily bury you. But I'd be walking off the ground going, just leaving at my place. - Exactly right. That's one from one. - Put me in charge. - There's another brochure at 100%. - And I'll tell you, but they've done something that only Richmond's been able to do, which we still-- - Scratch your hands out. That happened. - Incredible. - You know, we've watched Sydney just kick goal after goal after goal in a real quick span of time, but they just refused to allow Sydney's midfield to get on top at any stage. And if they got a bit of my men, and they managed to lock it down and make it a 50/50 ball and contest for the whole time, it was-- - Yeah. They were able to-- - They were able to clog the corridor up. And I think for the first time since, five hadn't 38 touches or whatever he did that one game. Five looked good because he had a role, and he just locked away Haney and just said, "You know what? "I'm not that five that I used to be, "but you're the best midfielder in this time. "I'm gonna stop you getting the ball "and did a great job on that." Josh Draper was really good. All the boys all across the round. Sydney came back and were within a point, but I thought the way that they held on was that'll hold up back in the end of the year. - Do you subscribe to the theory that just some teams match up better against-- - Oh yeah, definitely. - And I was talking about it. I always go back long, long time ago, when Brisbane were unstoppable, Sydney would always beat them over that early 2000s. Sydney just beat them. No matter where Sydney were in the letter, they beat Brisbane all the time. Freio is starting to get that. I mean, they went up there last year, one. It's Sydney with a different team this year than we were last year. But you go up there and do it again. Do you see you subscribe to that? - I do subscribe to the fact that it's, some teams just have the wall over you. Whether it's a key match up in the forward line on the back line, the mids just work differently. But yeah, they, I wouldn't say they've got the wall over them, but they're starting to get on the trot against this one. - Nothing that would scare you from this point on. - Nope. - Okay, so West Coast Poly complete tank solutions. Give us damage, pressure on a Monday. Tanks for agriculture, residential and industry. Westcoastpoly.com.au. So what's left in the tank for Fremen? - There's a little bit left. I think top four is well within their grasp now, and I think they think the third on the ladder after the weekend, they've got a couple of games that they should win in the next week, but they've got a Hawthorne in home, in Tasmania and long distance. So that's going to be a massive game. Sworks are going well. So I think what's left in the tank is a top four, is securing top four. I think they can do it. I think they've got the cattle to do it. The win on the weekend should prove to them that they can do whatever they want throughout the back end of the year. So yeah, what's left in the tank for Frowie is locking away a top four spot. - All righty now, Adam Simpson had this to say after yesterday's 10 goal loss to Hawthorne. - Nothing could come out of today. No, no, disappointing in every facet from the start to the finish. So, and the Hawks are really good, you know, transition better than us, cleaner, beaten in the midfield. Yeah, everything that we tried didn't work. The things we've been chasing from the start of the year, the little things, we're not there until we get consistent at those things. We're going to struggle. So yeah, we're disappointed. I think on paper, the team looked pretty good, but we got a total lesson in work right today. - We spoke to Tom Cole yesterday after the game and mentioned to Tom. Was there any door slamming, wall punching, loud voices? And he wouldn't elaborate. He sort of said, I won't tell you that. Got a feeling it might have pushed the coach and the playing group to the limit yesterday, what they ditched up. - Oh, it was poor. I think it's, I mean, it's not the worst they've played in three years, they've played a lot worse than that over the past couple of years. - Close to it. - Right up last couple of years. - Close to it. - But I think the way that the fact that they got, not got good again, because I still don't think they're a great side. But the fact that they've been able to show promise that they've been able to show signs and then they just went so far backwards yesterday, it was just embarrassing how far back they went and they would have been shattered about that. I think they played with relative, or a near full side for the first time in three years. So there's a, you can say that they haven't gelled, you can say they've brought guys back under done, but the lack of effort, the lack of run, the lack of intent and to lose by 10 goals at home with the best side you've put on the park for 10, with for three years, yeah, that would have, they'd have to have been some real hard conversation. - So Scotty, as we spoke earlier about this, we opened our show fully in depth in regards to what West Coast used to start. But you, and we, I think we all agree, we gave three past marks. We gave Barras and McGovern. - Yep. - And we gave you a pass by simple factors what he's been dealing with. - Yeah, and I throw in Alan as well. He's missed a lot of footy. He played his one first game, and then the second game's often the hardest part of that. So, I've given him a pass by two. I'm not even being critical of Jake Waterman, because I think delivery to him was terrible, but he still could have done more. I don't think there's anyone else. And I said earlier that there was not one, and this is a massive thing to say. There was not one passage of play, not even a passage of play or a moment in a game where Simeo would have gone great. - Yeah. - I'm not surprised, I hate it when supporters leave early, but they had nothing to stay for. - Yeah, it was just horrible. I mean, Gavin TB were very good, and without them they lose by 150 points. They were just, I think they're the best two key defending duo in the competition, and they just, they take into set marks, they, like, Gove was, TB was taking into set marks and playing on to try and generate ball movement, and they just had nothing. They'd get it in their hands, lay 'em dug and got a lot of the ball, but just couldn't kick the ball. It's usually a beautiful kick of the football, butchered the footy. They all sort of kicking out on the full, turning the ball over in bad spots, handling it or blocking a worse position. They just looked, they looked a minute off every time they were to do anything yesterday, and it was, yeah. - So, what's left in the tank for them going forward? What can they achieve for this season? And what's it going to prove to anyone that they're on the right track? They're not on the right track, they've got the wrong list, they've got the wrong coach? Just where is this focus gonna be? - It's a good, I don't know. At the start of the year, I thought they would win no more than two games. They've surprised everyone by winning with the way they have at the start. I think they have jumped the gun on where people thought they were at, and I think the inclusion of Harley has brought the list along, and everyone's sort of gained that youthful energy from him, but you can't hold onto that forever, you can't just let one player, especially an eight-year-old, nine-year-old drive your list, and I think for them to have anything left in the tank, which I don't think they do, they're gonna need to, these losses need to go. They need to be competitive every week at home, no matter what, and then you can sort of take a few five, six, seven goal losses on the ride, but it has to be at home. It's gotta be competitive. - Well, they play Melbourne this week. - Yeah, well, that means-- - They touched 'em. I touched 'em up before. - They touched Melbourne up. Melbourne are bad. I've said this one. - They were pretty good on the weekend. - Yeah. - They were in a winning position. - Yeah, I'm not sold on Brisbane either, though. I'm not sold on-- - I am. - Oh, yeah, they did. - They come back. - Yeah, they do. - I'm just not sold on Melbourne, Brisbane, Essendon, sold on anyone, really. - So, you've got down to three, have you got it down? - So, is it-- - You're grumpy when you don't play. - Yeah, no. - Three-man or car win the flag, can they? - I think three-man or is best football can challenge for a premiership. - Really? - I think they can get the, yeah, I think at the moment-- - That's good. - I've got my, I've got it down to four at the moment. - Who you got? - I've got Sidney going to be hard to beat. Carla going to be very hard to beat. I think Collingwood is still as-- - He's freer. - And freer, yeah. - Wow. - Wow. - That was my fault two weeks ago. - Yeah, it was. - Yeah. - Yeah, but he's an expert. He comes in once a week. - Oh, you've done that. - Oh, yeah. - Hey. - I just roast up here with him nearly, hopefully, something sticks. - Hello to our socials out there. Go with the great man. Hey, I sort of touched on this with Scotty, and I said, I was going to elaborate when you came in the studio. - Yeah. - So, yesterday post-game, and this is, it's not a criticism of West Coast in general term, because I think they put up a number of players post-game, which there's an obligation to win lose or draw. We spoke to Tom Cole, I think Alex, with it and did something, I think Brady Hoff, did something on a show that you did. That post-game is seven, we'll play that in a moment. Had a little rise to fame, that young fella. Hey, we'll get to that in a minute. But I'm going to, I raise this with Scotty very briefly. It's all very well to throw out the reliable media performers. And they put out the same blokes, we'd be gifted the same, predominantly, not the same, but a core group. And we sort of half-joke about it, oh, who are they going to give us this week? It's a bit of a running gag. I was going to be Tom Cole, Alex with it and... Patrick Shelley. Patrick Shelley, Jayden Hunt on a win, Brady Hoff. So, they're all my domedas and blokes. And they speak well and hats off to the Eagles. And your fellas. As part of the learning curve of a young man's career, Harley Reid should have spoken yesterday, or should speak today, or tomorrow. Harley Reid is only ever going to speak, is this right, that he's only ever going to speak one when he has a dominant performance, or two, they win well. Now, he has to, as part of his learning process, and now's the time. Now's the time. Not next year. I'll give him a diet year to settle down. He doesn't need a year to settle down, it's Harley Reid. He should be speaking about losing like that. To say what it was like out there, what his performance was like, what it was like out on the ground, commending those who played well, talking about the inner sanctum a little bit. I think, and this is not a criticism of West Coast, not throwing him up. They probably haven't even thought about it. They're probably protecting him, 'cause you can do it. And you know they want to. And I get that too. But I just think, if I sat back and went, how is he going to learn that part of his, out of his footy caper, that that is, for me, part of the learning curve. Dealing with losing, when everything you do is lauded. Yeah. And he played, like he tried Harley, he got his most contested possessions, he wasn't clean. I don't know, he looked absolutely distracted. I think he looked preoccupied with the wrong things yesterday. He wanted to be physical. And there's too many times now, when something doesn't go his way, he's looking at the umpire with his hands out. Because, you know, the hold on the ball rule, the quick hold on the ball rule. That's got him. He's going to stop that. But that's got him. But he didn't play for a couple of weeks, so he was trying to adjust. That hold on the ball rule. He came in while he was away. And he's the prime example of why that rule is in, and he's going to get pinged more often than not. Because one, he takes on the player, he goes for the fend off, he instigates the contact. But now the umpires are going to penalise him more than anybody. Because he's the type of player that gets it, and they gang tackle it. That rules the shambles. That's the one we said, you know, when that rule came in, I said, "The people like how they read all stuff up. Paddy Crips or stuff, are we adjusted already?" Yeah, yeah. Those people-- No, no, no, no, no, he's done OK. And those sort of players that take it on, where they're not, in any stage, they're not in control. They're getting rid of people, and they're getting off. But you're right. They're going to get-- Yeah, he's going to get rules done. Oh, I agree with you. I think he should have-- I think it's a really important thing for a player to learn to be able to sort of speak at any stage of win-loser draw, and no matter how the club's going, and for him. And for West Coast fans, I think the club would be worried that he'd be-- that he's young, and he might say something that you probably shouldn't say professionally after a big loss like that. But I think the fans would be looking-- if you honestly just let him get up there and speak, hey, mate, everyone thinks you're the greatest player that we've got. There's all this attention on you. How did you feel in what was probably the worst loss for you guys this year? And he fumbles around and says, oh, it was weird. I didn't know what to think. And I was a bit worried about this, that, and the other, and all, but at the end of the day, I came off and, oh, geez, we were bad. If he said something like that, and it was just fumbling around like an 18-year-old kid, that would have been like, actually, that's-- Raw innocence. That would have been Raw innocence. It would have been Raw innocence. And you'd take that rather than Tom Cole getting up there and saying the script that he's been saying for the last five years. I love that. I love the thing, because he is no doubt earlier as a competitive beast. And I reckon he would have just got up and gone. Now, that was crap. Yeah. He would have-- And he would have owned himself. And every supporter who was there, he would have watched on radio, this one right now, would have gone. Yeah. Because the pushback he's got he got. Because the pushback on socials and the pushback on radio station talkback is-- Roll me up the same. Stop rolling out that junk where we're over here in it. Yeah, but you're honest. Tom Cole was honest with us post-gamma. We'd give Tom a lot of credit. He spoke really well. He was hurting. He was pretty candid the way he spoke about the group. But I just think it's part of the-- And look, West Coast-- and I know West Coast listened to this show. And I Gary Stocks listens. He's the head of media and a Stockshire and I are good mates. Bottom line is, and I think Stockshire will take it on board, that I think moving forward, after a loss, it is important not to put out just the same players. Put out players, and we appreciate that. Do not get that wrong. That's not a criticism. What I'm saying is, Harley Reid eventually can't just be talking about everything that's good in life, because that's not going to happen. All right, you did the show. What was the show you did with Mark Redding's and Ben Cousins post-game? The game. It was live here upstairs. Yeah, we were. It did really well. It was good. You went down to a young reporter who's just starting out. I think he's from GWN initially. And his name is Locky Burn. And he was live with Brady Hoff, or-- Well, he didn't think he was live. Oh, someone's got to tell him he was live. Here he goes, Locky. He's been very cool here. He's still learning the voice, but he's been exceptional. He's with Brady Hoff. Thanks, boys. Brady Hoff, thanks for your time. It seemed like we-- It seemed like-- don't worry again. So how's he talking to you? And right, just go up the top. Yeah. Thanks, boys. It's Brady Hoff. Thanks for your time. There's Locky doing his stuff. We're baiting down with things like-- We think there might have been a bomb in there somewhere, but Locky's going to rise to fun. There's no doubt about that. And that's a great way to-- It's a great way to start. Oh, yeah, it is. Nice work to Locky in all the very best. If you're going to make an impact as a kid, it might as well. No, but you walked in this morning and you were sitting there. Oh, did you have an earpiece in yesterday? Oh, yeah. Did you hear him? Yeah, I heard it. Yeah. Did you all go-- You heard it and you could say it. It shows up on the TV where we're in front and we all just sort of sit there. He's doing it pretty cool. Oh, well, good one. What did Benny do? Benny just-- Because he doesn't have the earpiece in because he just falls with it. He just-- He doesn't just need to walk down. If anyone in the bank said, "No, don't worry." Oh, yeah. That's nothing. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Oh, I got you covered. Good luck to Locky Burn anyway. It was a good viewing. So Sydney, you're on top two games, Cleart, Carlton, Fremantle, Essendon. Are they just a falseness? I think they are. I just-- I can't see them. I don't know why they're good. I don't know why they're one so many. What's their percentage? Less than 100 now? No, no. Yeah, you can't be. That's not a good side. And that's the problem with Hawthorne at the moment. Again, we touched on it. So, Geelong-- Well, I mean, they'd be decent in mind. You're at home. And they're playing with her on the skids. I know, but now they play Hawthorne down there. It's going to be, again, a huge game. Oh, yeah. Huge game. That's the loss that-- They didn't need it. Didn't they? Didn't need it. No. Poor Adelaide. Have a listen to Ken Inkley Post game with Sarah Jones on Fox. Ken, how are you feeling? Pretty hard. Been a tough week. Great boys. Great boys. I really liked the fact that we were under the pump. And we just stuck out. It wasn't easy, but we got there in the end. And sometimes it feels like a bit like last year now. But I've got over that emotional little bit. It's a bit of-- sometimes, you know, we're two points from fourth. It felt like we're on the bottom of the ladder, and I get wide. I really appreciate the fact that we've been playing poorly. But we're doing our best to keep it right. All right, so that was-- that was pretty honest. That was a pretty honest statement. Yeah, I thought it was really good. They just-- they go hard at him. Oh, yeah. They go so hard at him. And he's right. They are two points out of fourth. They're also two points out of 14th. But they-- it's a good point. You know, they just go hard for Ken no matter what. And it's-- he rides the waves hard. He obviously got emotional after the game, which I thought was really good. But, oh, yeah, they-- they got to win. And they-- they tried. He's the first outsider they've had at Fort Power. So obviously Jack Cowell revered and loved by all. Then Mark Williams revered and loved. Poor Adelaide man. Yep. Magpie's man. He's old man. False was poor Adelaide royalty. Many promise comes in after that. You know, a real member of poor Adelaide. Best and fair or something. And then they're bringing to Victorian. I swear that has something to do with the mentality of some supported outside. He's not-- he doesn't understand. They haven't accepted-- they haven't accepted him yet. But he's been-- He's been there a long, long time. Until he wins a flag, they-- they don't accept you at Portland. Yeah. He's not going to win a flag there. They're not-- they're not going to win a flag under Ken Hinkley. He'll get rid of him then, Tim. Yep. OK. They're not going to win a flag. If that's-- if that's-- if that's the standard, then he's not going to be a premiership coach here. So the Mars will make a move. But he-- he-- There's good coaches out there that-- don't win flags or not going to win. We can't see them winning flags. I-- and probably can increase one of them. Chris Fagan's possibly another one. Had he got real close? I see. Ross Lyons, another one. Good coach. Can't get it done. How's he surviving? Well-- How is he surviving, to be honest? How is he not surviving the absolute furnace that he's Melbourne? Because he's won people over. Because he stepped into the media, didn't he? Yeah. And all that-- that media core group. Yeah. In particular, in a-- in particular, a radio station are in protective mode. They are-- That's your mob. Yep. Do you remember when Sydney were playing just-- Oh, Tom. --justing on the ugly football in the mid-2000s? Yes. And went after-- Andrew, to meet you, went after the club. Yeah, went after the club. I did. And-- but they won a flag. Yeah. Out of that. Yeah. Almost one took. But this is as disgusting a football to watch. If there's any other option, then watching a Sankilda game at the moment, I'll go close. Port Adelaide didn't kick a goal in the last quarter, Scott, and still won the game. Yeah. And it's only a two goal margin. It's record at all. Yeah, that's bad. Rather whole punch agates than watching. [LAUGHTER] We'll be honest with you. All righty. Hey, just for the tipping. For the tipping. I'm on '88. Hayes is on '86. Scotty on '79. Well done, Scotty. And Hammer-- Hammer got-- you got four. So you're on '77, so you're officially now last. That's all right. But Hayes got-- Hayes got six. That's a pretty good-- That's a pretty good score. Hey, so boys, while we've got you in the studio, and we do this for West Coast Poly, of course, complete tank solutions, tanks for agriculture, residential industry, West Coast Poly.com.au. East Perth had a good win. We touched on it at the very start. Yes, we did. Hang on. Yeah. What happened? Well, we were 40 points up, and we won by three. It seems to be common at the moment. Oh, wow. It's our fitness issue there. We had a lot of celebration partying, that type of stuff I see on socials. No, not enough, I don't think. [LAUGHTER] I don't know what happened. We just got complacent, went defensive, and just played every time there was a decision to be made. We panicked and made the wrong one. So a bit annoying, but hey, four points, four points. I bet you won, and peeled, dropped the game, which is massive, so we are coming here. We got them this week. It's a shocking time. Where's that guy been playing? Probably selling them logistics. [LAUGHTER] Oh, neutral. Yeah, they're neutral, they're neutral. Fair enough. Fucking Gibbs, Lee, too. But it's still a good win. You still won the game. We did. Plenty to take it out. So, your boys? Yeah. They're flying. Look, we're just going on the radar. We're struggling with the trees. No, you're not. No, no, just five. Just going about our business, just hanging on by a thread. Really? All right. Real underdog sort of stuff. So, Hammer, we've got you in the studio, and these are not watertight tips from you, but you do normally like to go early with your tips. I like to go banging. I will stick by it no matter what I say. All righty. Calling at MCG Friday night against-- Calling would belt a mess, no, no good. North Melbourne Marvel, hosting the Gold Coast Sun, so continue to be good at home and a horrible one. Yep, this will be the sun's first win away from home, because North Melbourne are a rabble. (LAUGHTER) Sun's going bang. I love it. Port Adelaide. You're just going to keep that tone. Yeah, I will. Yeah, you are in a mood. Port Adelaide v Bulldogs in Adelaide. Ken will go home crying, the dogs will get it done. Wow. Geelong at GMHBA Stadium, Dan Andrew Stadium against Hawthorne. I don't think Geelong are very good. They've got old players that don't know how to run and Hawthorne are young, fit and firing. Hawks will get it done. All righty. Carlton are travelling to Enji Stadium to take on the Giants, who are one of the poor teams of the weekend. Yeah, they were horrible. I do love the G.O.S. Giants. There is an orange tsunami, but it's not coming this weekend. The Carlton Blues will bring their surfboards and ride the wave home. Should I? We bother getting too deep in there, regards to the Saturday night fixture on the Saturday night stage, Fremantle Richmond? Yep, Richmond will not win that game. (LAUGHTER) No, we'll lose that convincingly to the mighty doctors. All righty. Let's get to Sunday. Melbourne hosts the Eagles, the MCG. I think both teams are pretty bad, but West Coast were the worst of the two. I will go Melbourne to win at the G. Sydney, can they rebound and beats and kill it, Marvel? I think they will rebound more than just rebound. They will get the high bounce ball and throw it into a trampoline. They're going to jump over a building and beat Sydney by hand. Beats and kill it by 100 points. They'll double bounce. The double bounce, yep. And Brisbane. Yeah, Brisbane will spare. West Coast Poly, complete tank solutions, tanks for agriculture, residential and industry. West Coast Poly.com.au. Off to work you go. Yeah, lock them in. That's nine from nine there. Done. He's not even yesterday. Well, I don't know what he has to work. He's working. He's got knobs on and he said, "It's got any guys, Hamish, Brace, or every Monday for West Coast Poly, complete tank solutions." [Music] It's safe. Is this the studio, Hamish Brace, or? He was in a mood today. Yeah, I'd stay clear of him. Some of his best work. Yeah, I'd say. I'd think that's it. Yeah, we do a tip every week. It made the walk from the car to the studio. A little less chilly. Oh, it made him. It was brilliant. And your high-fived him on the way. Oh, it was up and about. Breakfast power by Kubota. Take on any job that Kubota's range of tractors mowers and utility vehicles. We'll get to your text and go. People are saying, "Where's the bin on this day?" John wants to know, "Do you prefer to watch a Saints game or here on this day?" Well, we've moved on this day to absolute prime time before this man marked our field. Really? Just as a joke. The AFL has a conduct prejudicial law. So, prejudicial to the interests of the game. Surely, Ross Lyon has crossed that line. I've said it five times. I've said it ten times yesterday. Point out I didn't kick a goal in my ass quarter and still won the game. Still won the game. And we're only like 13 points, 14 points in front of three quarter time. He was. Was he at Sydney as an assistant when they were... Yes, he was. ...used of that behind you to meet you? He was. No. Come on, Ross. You've got a journey to the game. Every game they play is the same. What do you make of yesterday, mate? Oh, really, really disappointing. Hawthorne, very, very impressive. They take the game on. They're very clean. There's clarity of purpose, which points to good coaching. But Adam Simpson would be bitterly disappointed with that. The lack of defensive intent from West Coast... Broken tackles. ...is as dire as it's been. Well, that was back to '22, '23. Scotty said levels. Yeah. You know, wouldn't run... ...didn't put your head in the hole, didn't stick the tackles. And Hawthorne did as they wanted. All right. On the upside, Haggle were free. And Rob said, "Hey, Scotty is a good one. Can we give a shout out to the great Scotty Cummings?" He said not to drop dry armour against the grain that everyone else was talking about. And he came good on the weekend. He did. But did you notice that he was running in to kick the ball? Yeah, it's a change in style. Not fast. But just got into a little bit of a trot. Got a bit of rhythm. Got a natural swing in the foot. And once he does that, he's kicking goes from floor to perfect. Three straight. Yeah. Yep. And... They might have narrowly missed one from Whiteout. I reckon the narrowly missed one. It was all right as well. And who was close to a flag on the Texline? Who was close to a flag? West Coast to a flag? Did you see the guys... I did some bell tower times. I've got to be a little weak everywhere. Well, just a quick. As the Eagle supporters were walking out over the Mount of Europe last night, there were two guys in a tinny on the river playing the Fremantle song for them on the way out. It's just... There are people who need to get out more and there are people who need to go home. This is antagonistic stuff. You know, the best thing about that win is that you can't find an outstanding player in that win. It was such a good across-the-board effort. Blakey's probably the most influential player on the ground, because he nearly pinched the game in the last quarter. But Draper's last quarter, Fife's effort on Heaney. I thought our mirror was really good. I thought that was one of the better games. He's back to back, he said. Really good back to back. The way Luke Ryan, Marshall, the young back line, the fact that Amos, Tracy all came good and did their bit. Sean Darcy in the rock, et cetera, et cetera. He just went on, Jeremy Sharp, on a wing, was a really, really good buy-in team effort. It was a good point. I've said that to the boys before. He was upset that he only kicked a point that drew the game against Collingwood, but he kicked a point from the pocket against Sydney in one by a point. Sometimes points are more important. 100%, so what do you got coming up after tonight? Three straight, Amos. Yeah. Three straight, okay. So, okay. So, Jackson Barrett was at the game in Sydney. We'll talk to him from the West Australian, and he was also at the game yesterday. We'll talk to him about both AFL games. We're going to talk to Marcus Webb, of course, the 18s, wrapped up their campaign against Vic Country. Narrow losers. Just find out where our boys sit. Not bad. They were okay. I don't think there was a lot of people who were expecting to get blown off the part by a couple. They didn't get blown off by a bunch of times. Yeah, that's true. They got beaten by both, but there's a few guys put their hands up. I think there was a feeling that they could beat Vic Country. The Vic Metro game was an honest effort, but they knew that they were going to get overrun. No way late, didn't they? Yeah. I don't think there's a few players there that have certainly put their hand up and no one sold radars. Yeah, probably lower down. We probably won't have five in the top earlier in London. Yeah, but it's not the one or maybe two that we were expecting. There's probably five or six. Yeah. Thanks for coming in. See you after eight. We'll do. Mark Duffield. Let's do this. Honesty! We're fucking happy. Really? Good day. This event. And some of the great moments in history. It's on this day. Eight five eight says morning boys flag metal tsunami is coming with a bullet. Goss time to change your pom-poms from blue and go To people of what the purple army would love you man People are me would love you front and center of our flag finals campaign time. I don't think that would They're not gonna win the flag. Oh, they're not gonna win it So who is closest to a premiership right now? West Coast or Fremantle? It's obvious because on the latter position. It's certainly Fremantle absolutely 100% 100% Fremantle right now to this day right now. I used to riff it. That's we it can charge up I think it's terrific that you've been able to turn your opinion around and say I was wrong when they win one. I will concede There's no point me worrying about it until then when they win it. I'll go. I was wrong That doesn't count because he's saying that when that happens. I'll say those that's great. There's no point apologizing for something. It hasn't happened Nah, that's right. Yeah, seriously mate. Hey Monday July 1 international joke day Deborah Harry. She's no joke. She's 78 The great John Farnham the great Englishman he's 74 One of the greats of Daganam's finest Morning Daganam England mates. Yeah, anyway, he's one of us. My illustrators and land pride attached It's only time for a quick question or two. I'm going to ask you this question After what you saw yesterday to the West Coast Eagles stand any chance of beating Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday Because on paper and night games aren't one on paper that is still a damn fine team that has achieved plenty I've got some good young I have achieved plenty and I'm not and there's some question marks over the young kids too Let me tell you right now. Yeah, and we've Very easy on collectively though a pretty poor. We've gone the whole group as a whole. Yeah, we could have gone name names 33 touches in the waffle yesterday, but had no tackles That's an issue. Well, you know what? Well, he's only one short one less than Nine other players in the Eagles who had one So play him can the West Coast Eagles beat Melbourne No, can they dig themselves out of what we saw yesterday? No, okay can free mantle Absolute whose percentage is solid percentage is good for free. Oh, so they're in a pretty good position What will the margin be it's only Monday? What will the margin be beating Richmond? Yeah, Richmond have been competitive in games. That's all back blown away That's and does he's not dusty anymore. The margin will be it should be it should be 50 points Okay But that's like there's not get too excited free man. I'll sit third fantastic Brilliant win on the weekend we are we are in the top four and we might be there to stay Cannot believe that a tip in any of that. They're also they sit on 38 points are there one game out of eight and They're gonna smash Richmond next one. Yeah, they will then they should absolutely Why'd your Richmond beat Sydney? Yeah, I'm so confused this year. You got a question for me. I'm ready You haven't got everyone for me. Do you my it's all about me asking you questions? No, ask me anything and I'll answer it How much damage is this done to simo on the catastrophic? I think it's it recoverable. Yeah, it's recoverable with footies. Look at Ken Hinckley So what Matthew nix we've all spoken about to my major thing about footy It might it's not great on how many more of those and I'll steal this question from Duff who did I say how many more? None can't be but they can't be playing like that again, and they won't they will not or no one saw that coming I didn't talk all those who would like to mention no, I'm a I'm a rusted on West Coast fan but I tipped Hawthorne with confidence I tipped Hawthorne to West Coast played Brisbane the week after and over here So they play Melbourne away, and then they play Brisbane. Yeah, okay when either one. Yep, I can win one of those two Then they play St. Kilda at Marvel. Yeah, that is that the St. Kilda at Marvel game is that the official coach killer. Yeah for both Lots of lines under more pressure than anyone right now, but he's not I mean, that's a different situation. Alrighty. Good job by you. That was a really good question Where's coast? Is that the call day? I'm off to give keys back to a A client and I'm with glad you're gonna put them in a envelope Form a glove or just put them in an envelope and leave them. You do not need to talk to the client. I won't be talking Guaranteed, I will not be talking have a great day. Everyone. Yeah, have a good day We're not lads. It's a beauty. It is only footy. It is only footy, but free metal fans rejoice We're coming don't worry about that. We are coming. That's the enough to ride a call (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
