We can tell you that the NBA draft's on this morning and over in the States I saw that to Danny Mills sort of the head of sort of like the basketball recruiting and all that sort of stuff. He's the one we go to when we need. He's ever called face. He's there. Like he's almost like sitting on Alexar's lap. He's probably be number one in the organization. If he's gone over to the draft, he's got the plum trip. He's got the plum job. Yeah, yeah. He's obviously the number one you're in. I would imagine so. The two I see would be shipped off to Belmont. That's what I'm thinking. John really is the coach of the Wildcats live from the Sporting Globe. Another wrong with being in the Sporting Globe, let me tell you. It's not quite the Barclay setter in New York, but Jaya, appreciate your time. Good morning. Good morning, boys. I'm more a shorts and polo type of guy. Have you had a look at the get up that the big Frenchman's wearing? No, I don't even dream of that type of stuff. But what an exciting day for him, huh? Yeah, it was. And for the Wildcats have paid a 12-month part of a longer journey than that, but you must be very proud of the whole franchise and the role you played in developing him as a young man stroke basketballer in today's of the day. Yeah, it looked a great day for the Saf family and Alex, and it's going to be a memorable one for per. But the one thing I'd like to say in all of this, the guys that probably don't get any credit or enough credit with this, the three young assistant coaches that spend a lot of time with him, you do love him. We've missed him, ain't it? It's good to hear your voice. We'll get on to what you've been up to in your break, but you do rate your assistants extremely highly, don't you? And you give them a carte blanche to their ideas and their interaction with the players. So, look, you want to give players freedom to use their skill? The same thing with the assistant coaches, and there's a reason they're on the staff as I believe in them. And I want them to bring all their creative ideas. And Alex is a great example. Hi, I'm Harris, Ben Hentel, David Quiara. You know, when we're not traveling, so good, given Bryce confidence. So, look, they play their role just as much as anyone. Hey, I'm just got a good text in here from from John. Is Danny there? So, Danny's obviously over at the draft. Is he just launched skulk around and anyone who at the end of the day doesn't get drafted, he just goes and drops a business card in front of him and say, Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, see Alex just went at one or two or three or whatever he went at. And we could do that for you. Does he just pick up the blokes who are shattered and disappointed right now? Yes, he's there to be a motivational resource for the people that are looking to join the Perk Wildcats. And Alex Sorrow is a great advocate for what we are about. So, Danny's there to do his job. Yeah, next time was amazing. So, is there a part of you as you're about to sit down at the sporting globe in Belmont and watch the draft and what find out where Alex is going? Is there a part of you hoping that he doesn't get drafted that he could come back and play next? That question is, are you the most selfish man in Australia? Atlanta, I'm led to believe, and again, I'm only been reading it online, Atlanta haven't basically given him an in-person workout. Have they seen enough? Oh, look, that's for them to decide. That's above my pay grade. But what it is is Atlanta, I'm sure, would have liked to have him work out. Alex's people didn't do that. But Atlanta, if they want to show some testosterone, they can take him number one side unseen. Yeah, Washington, Houston, of course, which they got that from Brooklyn, San Antonio. Hey, J.R., you know, and I don't know who this boat is, but he's a little fella. Is it true, a lot of scouts, and it might be Atlanta, that one of the Aussie scouts for the NBA lives in Albany down south? That is true. Yes, absolutely. Is that Atlanta? Off the radar. Oh, that's a great question. Because, no, I don't think so, but he's a guy that's floated around a few teams, but he did spend a lot of time here. Yeah, it lives in Albany. He's about four for eight. He's talking about basketball. That's great. That's great. It's the ground zero for basketball, talent across the globe. J.R., obviously, we're all about Alex Sarbitt. Johnny Furffi has jumped out of nowhere, and he looks like he's 19. He looks like he's 12. But what do you know about Johnny Furffi? Yeah, look, he's a great story that's really slipping under the radar, because of the great job MBL does with the next stars. But 18 months ago, no one really would have thought he would be on this stage. So to the kids' credit, he's just progressed over the last four months. And as you said, he does look 12-13. So he's your traditional late bloomer, was at Kansas University this year, and had a successful year. And the experts are saying he'll be in the top 20 for draft picks. So another great story for Australia. Yeah, absolutely. I'm looking forward to Alex. Fingers crossed he goes early, and we can rejoice. It's all about us and the Wildcats. He was in the studio photo, taking with him down there. It'd be nothing without J.R. or the warmth. Oh, maybe I did a lot for him. Don't remember that. What if your complimentary calls? Yeah. But don't worry, when he's having a bad day, we made out that he was better than what he was. Hey, J.R., what about our other man? What about other men? The pepper. He's going all right for the boomers. He's racking up some numbers, looking forward to him coming. Yeah, Elijah Peppa, for people who don't know who he is, he's actually an Aussie. His dad played in what is now the NBA 1 over in Victoria for a number of years, shucked up with an Aussie girl. But then Elijah moved over to the US when he was about eight years old. And just someone that I've kept tabs on over the years and his college career has finished and he joined us. Yeah, it's exciting. Hey, we know that Usher is not coming back, but we know Dude Little is, and you've got Bryce's other import. Obviously Danny's over there. It's all very well and good to be there for the draft, but it is a big big time in the NBA, isn't it? That's sort of July month where G League and all that sort of stuff goes on. Where are we out with picking another sort of a cherry off the stem somewhere to bring over to play for the Wildcats? Yes, like we're exploring next our opportunities. We got, we got spoiled with Alex, so we can't get ahead of ourselves and just think we can wave a magic wand and it'll be Alex Sire every year, but we're quietly confident about where we're at with that. And then that'll give us great flexibility with our import third import spot. So, you know, all things are going the right way. We'll have another next star and a prospect we're very excited about, but then the flexibility that gives us with our import with our roster is exciting. So, hopefully in the near future, we can take care of our final two roster spots. And last one before we let you go, is our, is the Perth Wildcat salary cap as big as Sydney's? I just try to get our players better so they can become number one draft picks. Thank you very good point. It was too good. It was too good. I thought there was trying to meet them right. It was an opportunity to throw a shot across the bear or the kings. Just doesn't want a few of the fours. Well, we've killed off a couple of their owners. Any media manager? Any manager. Hey, we survived. Hey, Jay, I appreciate your time, mate. What have you been doing? We've been doing John. What have I been doing? I've reunited with my family for a little holiday. Beautiful. And then I went to New Zealand to check up on our young guys playing over there. Oh, good. Oh, you might. I appreciate it. Enjoy the draft. Once said the sporting club. And the wings are a burger for breakfast at the sporting club this morning. Oh, probably a burger with a bit of bacon on it. Yeah. That's 17 bees. Yes. We're off here in eight minutes. I'll see you in 18. Good on you, John. Really love our chats with him. Live from the sporting globe, Bellman. If you're going that way, you want to get involved and have a look at the draft head across to the sporting globe. One, screens galore, great atmosphere, brilliant food, great drinks, have a coffee on us as well. NBA draft at the Barclays Center in New York. But if you're in Perth, get to the sporting globe, Bellman. JR is here and a whole lot of other of the Wildcats red army. Let's get a
