Scotty and Goss, we're just going to take a couple of moments to chat with Bryce McGain, the SCN superstar, knows all these things. We spoke to Bryce last week, he said, "It's just a matter of the margin, Australia advanced the next stage." Wow, Bryce, we woken up this morning, beaten by India, and now waiting on the result between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. I've never been more excited about Bangladesh winning a game of cricket in all my life. Ah, ah, yeah, it's all gone pear-shaped, Goss. And overnight, it happened when we slipped up earlier against Afghanistan. And I was trying to have a pretty brave last night, but it was Rowan Sharma that just put on a power-hitting clinic at the top of the Indian order, and it just propelled him to a score over 200. The rest contributed nicely, but he was just in another league, and no one really matched it. Travis was pretty useful with a bat, but wasn't over to match those heroics for that Indian captain. He set the scene for, unfortunately, and obviously lost. It needs to be some heads rolling here, Bryce, unless this happens. Who do we blame? Who do we attack? Who do we go after? Wow, yeah, look, I'm not sure. Look, I think I was so buoyed about Australia, and I always am, but Australia got great players. Look, it often happens, it's one over. The cost here, the game, the final margin, 24 runs early on. It's got hit for 29 off an over, and that was Rowan Sharma at his absolute pop, and just turning it on. Look, that's what happens in T20 cricket. He then came back later on, and it looked like he had two overs that had gone for 30 plus. It looked like a mess, a car wreck. He came on a knock him up for later on, which saved us more damage anyway, and so he bounced back really well, so it's not necessarily his fault, but sometimes the opposition can do that, and we know that India are just talent after talent, every batsman that came out. They've got this prototype now, this 6 foot 3 powerhouse hitters, and they've got three of them in their middle order. Their next league now, India, their lineup, they've got bowling options to do it all, spin it both ways and swing the ball. It's theirs to lose, I reckon, from here, India are looking really, really good to win the tournament. Interesting. I don't know if they're playing England next, but what under England for advancing to the next stage? Australia's staring down the barrel of knot, so he who laughs, laughs, laughs loudest and longest. Yeah, they do indeed, and look, as you say, Bangladesh, all our cards are there. That's only about an hour and a quarter away from kicking off, or maybe a touch longer than the other. But we're going to know this morning what our fate is, and as you say, all eyes on Bangladesh. Yeah, Chandra coaches them, now he did a lot of work in New South Wales, he was a head coach in New South Wales, so maybe he's Australian heritage. It's a Sri Lankan test player, but maybe he can help us over the line. They'll be really well planned, and they do play an abrasive style, so maybe that can upset the Afghanistanis, but look, we won't see, we'll know our fucking about three and a half hours, I reckon. I just quickly to finish up them, Bryce, who wins, Bangladesh, any chance at all? Oh, look, they are a chance, and they have performed well, and they deserve their spot in the super-aid, so we're not without a hope, but Afghanistan, on the height of knocking off Australia, she's hard to look past that sort of form, they gave us a good touch up, so look, fingers crossed for Australia that we can continue on in the semis, we deserve it, and it will be a shame if we don't make the semis, it'll be a real disappointment. Hey, Bryce, one really quick one before you have to get a break away before news. One of our callers, Darrell, who's very, very vigilant across all these things, he reckons, could you ask Bryce in regards to David Warner's comments about bringing up sandpaper, while the team's trying to win a tournament, as a sportsman who played in teams, do you think this was selfish, and if Warner was going to go nuclear, should he have been selected in the first place, given his recent form? This is why I love the SCN, the community, the audience, they're right on the money. Why on earth in the middle of a World Cup would you be bringing that stuff up? I'm saying you're the scapegoat, and I cop that all for everyone, you're upsetting everyone in your team. Like, thinking, you're not the hero here, my words put it behind us, we're here to win a World Cup, I thought it was pretty selfish, and again, it was just protecting his own backside, and I'm really, really disappointed in the height of what they're trying to achieve there. They had the opportunity to win three titles, why would you do anything that would upset anyone else in your team? Yeah, I think that's a bit of explaining to do from Dave Warner, but he's out the door after this tournament, he's fair and well. See you later, Bryce McGain, appreciate your time, Bryce, and see you later, David Warner. Good on you mate, appreciate it, SCN cricket expert, great that you would talk to us, so all eyes on TV.
