With the price of just about everything going up during inflation, we thought we'd bring our prices down. So to help us, we brought in a reverse auctioneer, which is apparently a thing. >> Mint Mobile unlimited, premium wireless. >> Have it to get 30, 30, 30, but you get 20, 20, 20, but you get 20, 20, but you get 15, 15, 15, 15, just 15 bucks a month. So, >> Give it a try at mintmobile.com/switch. >> $45 up from payment equivalent to $15 per month. New customers on first three month plan only. Taxes and fees extra, speeds lower above 40 gigabyte CD-Tale. [MUSIC] >> It's Scottie and Goss for breakfast. [MUSIC] >> Morning everyone, 4.5, 6. Took your depot studio for the next two hours. It's a chilly 4.4 degree, so it's probably going to get below 4. It normally does sort of cool off a little bit of the morning. 20 is our top today and the lights are on and the blue lights are around the stadium here, add up to stadium because it is the CEO's sleepout for a homeless and a very good friend of ours. He's trying to sleep and we'll find out how he's traveling a little bit later. Experience game changing sound this season with Sonos. Well, Cummings, tick, oh, he's not here, good point, you make a good point. Hazlebeats tried, [MUSIC] Ashbraszels tried, [MUSIC] How much pressure was in the studio this morning in the Friday hot seat? >> Yeah, it's great to be here, really scraping the bottom of the barrel. >> No, we're here, creaming a crop. >> Yeah, very keen to have you in. So there it is, our Friday free for all talking, all things, 40, 13, 12, 55 was 0, 4, 8, 7, 7, 3, 6, 7, 3, 6. So your boss, Frank Agostino. >> He's sleeping out. >> Yeah, he's sleeping out right in here for the chief of pay wise. >> Yep, it's, what was it? It was a chilly yesterday morning coming into work. And it was obviously the big day dawned on him. And you know, Frankie, how you feeling? It's going to be cold. It gives you an amazing appreciation for what it would be like to, you know, have to rough it and be homeless and live and sleep in the, you know, I mean, Perth is a great place to live, but cheesy gets cold during the winters and it gets cold in the morning. So I think they've done, I don't know how much money they've raised, but it's certainly a good perspective. >> Over 700,000 did I read? Have I got that right? >> I did see a post last one. >> I'm just going to roll with that. Over 700,000 might as well make it a million. They've made a million dollars for it roughly and it's incredible. But yeah, it gives you a very good appreciation. And it's a good perspective shift for the big bosses upstairs. >> Because we work here at this stadium, spend a lot of time here hosting events, commentating the footy of the whole lot. I know a few nooks and crannies. Now, I don't know the parameters of the CEO's sleep out where they can go, where they can take their cardboard or their do not, whatever they've got. >> Sleeping bag, what you're wearing and a bit of cardboard, I think, is what you've got. >> No pillow? >> Oh, and a pillow, yes, and a pillow. I saw a few people rolling out with one today. >> But you're sort of going to find a spot around the stadium. >> Yeah. >> Now, I saw-- >> Legends Club, somewhere in there. >> I'm thinking commentary books. I'm thinking you'd just find a way, wouldn't you? >> You'd try. There'd be a door, someone would leave a door open. Although, a lot of those doors are accredited. You sort of have to swipe in and-- >> And then you set the whole alarm off and the whole stadium would light up. >> Yeah. >> That's off to everyone who's doing it. >> Yeah. >> And your thoughts are with everyone who does sleep rough during the night. Mcaffee coffee chat, grab 24 chicken, McNuggets for $9.95, getting more for your money at Macca's. Well, that little piece that you just heard then with the slip of the fingers by a man, Griff, but that's OK, Griffie, because that actually is a good cue. Whereas Wildcats are excited to announce, what about this? >> OK. >> The documentary, "Alex Sa, Forever a Wildcat." I mean, I don't think there's a better teenager in sporting WA who has taken WA sport by storm more than Alex Sa. I don't think so, Cam Green was probably 20 when he did it. >> Correct, presented by a sporting globe. It will premiere Tuesday at the sporting globe Belmont from 7 o'clock. If you want to know more details about this, head to wildcats.com.au for more details. But it's going to be 7 o'clock. The wonderful sporting globe over there in Belmont. It is Alex Sa, Forever a Wildcat, as we know. He's set to be drafted into the NBA. Speaking of NBA, breaking news in regards to the NBA. Josh Giddie, hey, on the move. >> Is he really? >> Yeah, gone from the thunder to the bulls. According to Wojo. >> There you go. >> I go home a city to Chicago. >> Yep. >> I mean, I've never been to either. >> Me, I've never been to... Have you been to the States? >> I have been a couple of times. >> Oh, I know, have you? >> Yeah, I've been to Florida, I've been to where else? Arizona, I've been to Hawaii. >> Fan? >> I loved it. Yeah. I just like that you can drink coke's arrow out of a bucket. >> What? >> You just drink your diet coke's out of a bucket and you, you know, you eat food. You basically just tread like a pig and you just get to eat from a trough. That's brilliant. I went there and did a, I did this cheeseburger challenge in Hawaii. It was a triple stack cheeseburger with onion rings and chili cheese fries. >> What were you not, not 150 kilos of stuff that you could do? >> I wasn't that far off. Anyway, you had 20 minutes to finish this thing, exactly. >> That's probably why I got day listed. I had 20 minutes to finish this thing and we went out to, at those places, you can't reserve a towel. We have to go on just sort of if it's there, if not, you have to put your name down in white. And there was a group of eight of us and it was a 45 minute wait. And I was set on doing this challenge and they were like, oh, well, we'll go eight elsewhere and I just waited. And then by the time they were finished, they were going to come back. Anyway, it got time. I was sitting at this table by myself. I ordered, I'm going to table of eight in a packed restaurant and the, the Hawaiian lady in the back, finally my meal was ready. None of my mates were there yet. Aloha. And they're bringing the bell. This boat, everyone in the restaurant stopped. They're just walking this big cheeseburger. I'm sitting on a table by myself in a packed restaurant. 20 minutes to finish it. I start stuffing my face. All the Americans love it though. Taking photos, you got it, man. Just like giving me all these props. Now that's seven, eight minutes. Did you hear me? They're too easy. What are you talking about? How big? Uh, it was probably a three, like three pretty big patties in this cheese, but it was a big thing. They had tall. Like have like a rule of, rule of height? Yeah, it would have been, well, from the bottom of the bowl of cheese fries to the top of the onion rings, it would have been about a foot tall. Was it a lot of food? It smoked it. It smoked it. You know why, Emma? I've got it for free. But what happens if you don't? 50 bucks? 50 US actually, which would have been about 70 at the time. You know what I did the other day? I signed up for a form online called Docuosign, which real estate agents use. So basically, if you're buying a house, I send you a form you, have you used on familiar? So Docuosign is just a way that people can put signatures to contracts rather than have to fill out the old longhand and go fax them and, you know, wait, my own faxes anyway. Well, I don't know. It was the last time you sent a fax. Well, you know what? And I said this the other day on the show. A fax is like something in the old days where you'd send a fax and then you'd actually ring up and say, "Did you get the fax?" I've never sent a fax in my life. Haven't you, really? No. Fax were big. Did it? Faxim release. Yeah, that would be. That's the herd of it. Haven't you heard of a fax? Well, I have heard of a fax, but I've never physically done one. Anyway, continue your story about Docuosign. That's like a photo stat go. It's like your photo stat's not going to go. That's what a fax is. Well, yeah, I understand the premise of a fax, but I'm just, I've never done one. So I had signed up for Docuosign. And for some strangers, and they said, "241." So you get 12 months of sends and receives, and basically you've signed up for the form. It's like Adobe, correct? But I must have ticked a box, didn't, or unticked the box, because I've filled it out in English Pound. Well, that's disappointing. Yeah, so it's over 500 slides. I know. Now, is it worth another time? Excuse me, didn't read your own Docuosign. I did not know what I was doing. I still don't know what I'm doing with Docuosign. But is it true? Like, would you... Money is important. It is. Very. But with 200 bucks, for the sake of a couple of hundred, would you go to lengths to contact Docuosign to say I've overpaid? And I would like a refund. Because I haven't been titled to it. You are very much entitled to it. I would call them and spend no more than 10 minutes on the phone. Who am I going to call? Mr Docuosign. Where do you call one number? Oh, you know where it's going. Oh, send an email. There you go. Send an email. Just say, "Hey, guys, just letting you know this is..." Yeah, good point. I've done this. Docuosign, info@docuosign.com, but I mean, I reckon that is probably it. I haven't got the Docuosign email, but I reckon it's probably info@docuosign.com, but are you? OK. And they'll handball you the next person. And I'll end up in some faraway place. Correct. Hello, Mexico. Yeah, perfect. 1255-048-773676. Plenty of text coming in. Morning legends. Do you think it was, who do you think Justin Longyear was referring to when he said some players were chasing stats? This is what he said, Justin Longyear, the coach of Freo. I mean, everyone loves looking at the Peel stats on all of all their players, not just Neil. They love looking at all the stats and reading stats and thinking a game is determined by what stat sheet says at the end of the day. I reckon that I don't even look at the stat sheet and not even at our game. At the end of the day, look at all the aspects of their role that contribute to us being a good team. There's no doubt in the same years on the weekend that guys were worried more about how many possessions they got than how they competed in the contest, how they pressured the opposition and how they defended. That's not what I stand for. Here's the coach. That's harsh. Ouch. That's saying he knows. Take it to the back. He is saying there is no doubt there are players, all they care about is stats. Who is he talking about? And on the back of that, and I'm not accusing this of anything, I was absolutely told by a confidant from Fremantle that Will Brodie had done enough to be picked this week, and he's not in one of the five inclusions. He will never, and it's got him coming, has been saying it, and I said he should have gone and sort of trade last year, even though he's got a contract extension for a couple of years. He will never play for Fremantle again unless they get to unbelievable injury proportions. Because in, he chappened, Hugh Davies for his debut, Tom Emmett, Neil Erasmus, Corey Wagner. Yep, Draper's omitted. Michael Walters is omitted. A Walters is injured. So there might be some more changes. How he cannot get in the squad is beyond me. But that's pretty harsh from a coach, to say that he has got it on good authority that some of his players just look at stats, and that's not good enough. Well, that's why they're not very good at the moment. And then that's why they can't, I mean, if that's true, which if you head coach saying it more than likely not is, that's why you can't compete in these big games. And when the pressure comes, you just fold. Because if you're, like Marcus Bond and Pelly, I look at him, I look at the bond and think he doesn't care about his stat line. He knows he's very good. He's happy to go forward if the game requires him to go forward. He's fine to kick, he's happy to kick two goals and have 11 touches if his team wins. Whereas at the moment, I don't think Fremantle's, all the free-hours players are like that. And if the coach is saying that, that he's got a lot to do with the culture and the brand or football that they're playing at the moment in big games. And it's just not standing up to it. Okay. And I'm going to be very mindful. I don't accuse anyone. Sure. But on the bench is Sturt O'Mira, Aish Emmett, Warner Erasmus, Hayden Young and Wagner. Now, it's done in number order. So it's done in number order, but Hayden Young is down the bottom. So he's number 26 and Wagner's 34. So it's done in number order in regards to the way they've got their players on their interchange. Hayden Young has been named. And again, he'd probably line up in the middle, so whatever, the way clubs name teams and stuff doesn't really make sense. No, that's correct. But are they talking about Hayden Young? Are they talking about Hayden Young, 26 disposals? Yeah, he had six tackles. He had 10 inside 50s. I don't think that he's talking about Hayden Young. He had seven clearances. He did have seven clangers. He had 13 contested possessions. They wouldn't be talking about Hayden Young, but how Hayden Young is not named on field. So I'm confused about why teams are named. I'm confused about what the coach is saying. You're in a football club environment, East Perth. Do coaches play ducks and drags at that level as well, with the way they name teams and stuff like that? And the way they talk? Not in the way they name teams. I don't think there's any benefit to that in the Waffle competition. The way they talk sometimes, but even still like... Opposition, they fall for that, do they? No, not really. We the media might be bit naive, and the fan probably falls for it a bit. Potentially, yeah. I mean, sometimes in the AFL... You know the guys who are routine regulars forward in the AFL, like Jeremy McGovern, it's like, "Oh, he's always named on the extended bench," and then just comes in and plays, or he's... If you know on Monday that he's not going to make it, yep, sweet, he'll play, and now he's not. Yeah, you don't get that too much in Waffle and I don't think. There's not... No one really... Like, you're just going to play. You don't really care too much. Is brother Andrew in North Hot Seat? I'd be... I don't know. I did see something about that yesterday. Play training with the Waffle group. What does that mean? But what does that mean that he wants to do? That might be extra work. That's not separated from the group. So, yeah, well, the way it works at training, and I think I remember what I was saying this, when you train at an AFL club, you have you do a match to him every week, and you'll have... At West Coast, it was you'd have the blue team, and then you'd have the yellow team, and the yellow team were always... There were guys, most of the guys playing Waffle. Sometimes you do... You have a couple of guys that are flipping, and it doesn't... You know, Hugh Davis, for example, might have played a half in the yellow team and a half in the blue team. So, he might play a half and a half, and he gets a debut. I mean, Andrew could have been playing on that other team to give their mids a look at what... Another opposition midfielder would be like. Oh, I think if... If Andrew is in the Hot Seat and plays Waffle football at this stage in Fremantle's... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yep. Wait, what? Don't make a big statement. He's going to blow up in your face. Are you going to tell me if he plays Waffle football, that he'll be looking for another club? No, I'm not saying that. Oh, is he... No, I'm thinking... I'm saying controversial. No, I'm saying... Oh, boy. Yeah, if they're... If they're going to drop him and play Waffle, well, then I think they need to have a real look at what they're doing. Like, they've been playing him on a wing and a half forward all year, and like... Oh, he might not have had his best start to the year, and he might not have been playing as well as he did two years ago. Two years ago, he was the best player in the competition. Voted by the players. You can't run... He's gone dog, metal runner up, dog, metalist. And I mean, if you... Yeah, I don't think he'll play Waffle, and if he does, I'll be staggered. But, yeah, I think it would be a dumb decision to play a quality... A player of his caliber in the reserves. OK, so Eliza Riley, who, of course, works for Code Support, and is a good friend of the show, and you can hear her with Mark Duffy. Doc has say Andy is having a light week on the track combined with the fact he was wearing a mask earlier, and he's got a knee-niggle earlier in the year. Think it's safe to say he's not the scapegoat for what happened last weekend, so there's his out. Yeah, he's also your vice captain, and in your top two or three best players, so I don't think he'll be... I don't think he'll ever see a Peel jumper. Thank you very much to everyone who's detected. Jeremy Sharp can't be accused of stat stuffing. He only had four sets on. Oh, even Jeremy Sharp's been one of their upsides. Yeah, he's been pretty good this year. Yep. All right, so this is the problem, though. When a coach comes out and doesn't name names, and we're not expecting him to. No. But when they say, "I've got players in my group that are looking at their stats," and that's not important to me, because I don't look at them. Yep. At either Waffle level or AFL level, it gets me talking, and you're not initiating this conversation, but your brother plays at the football club, and you've talked about it, and you've talked in support of him, and you've put his case for it as to why he won't be dropped. But it is interesting, though, isn't it, that we all of a sudden start to... Oh, I can't... He's talking about... Well, and it is... I mean, it's... And he's not going to name them publicly. No, he'll... But that's what it does. Certainly named them privately, and he'll have had conversations with all of those guys. Absolutely. And would it be done in... I don't know how he coaches, but would it be done in an aggressive manner? You know, without yelling at him. I don't think he's an aggressive guy by nature, and I think the way that he would present it is almost like a disappointed dad, and you'd be just as... You'd feel it just as much as if a coach was spraying you, I think, coming from him. But I've played with guys in the past at Waffle level who care about their stats, and that's all they care about. We've had guys in the past few years of these perth who are no longer there, who literally have come off at half time in games, and ask, like, asking guys as they're walking off where... what am I at? Ah, that's not true. I can put my hand on my heart. I'm not going to name names, because they're no longer a day's perth. But I've had guys, and I've seen guys, and I've heard guys, walk off games and be like, "Where am I?" I haven't... Asking guys who have played resis earlier in the day, where am I at? But are they asking about, like, how the hardball gets and where my defense is? No, that's in, like, what...? Because it keeps my tambles. On the waffle thing, you can only see it kicks my tambles disposals. It's like, "Where am I at?" And they're no longer here. And those guys get weeded out of football clubs pretty quickly. Is that true? And so, I think, if you take it to an AFL landscape, guys, the way I see it, in terms of, you know, you know, dickhead policy sort of thing, that's been... that's a thing that is becoming more and more frequent and a late-level football. And it is very difficult to... It's easy to weed them out if they're an okay to average player. You have to... you give people a bit more leeway if they're exceptional. And at AFL-level, there are sometimes guys who are very good who are in that fall in that category. But that sort of stat chasing and that sort of... looking at the numbers and that's all you care about, that gets weeded out regardless of how good you are. And so, I think JL would be sitting down with whoever it is. And, you know, and hitting them in... hitting them between the eyes and saying, "You've got, you know, this is what you've got." This text 979, thank you. That's why Fife gets a game still, Goss. He's the only bloke on the list that doesn't care about stats. I don't think he's the only bloke. There would be a number of them. But, you know, I don't... I don't think Andrew would care. I don't think Alex Pearce would care. I don't think... Carlos Orong wouldn't care. There'd be more than one. But it's an interesting point they make. Race is, this is a great conversation we're having because it's exactly where Freo are at. It's exactly why us members and fans are frustrated weekly. If you're a Freo fan, do you see some merit in this? And are you happy with Justin Longview's hardcore stance? Hey, let's... they've got a couple of... a bit to dissect. After 7 o'clock, we will be speaking to Alex Pearce. Yep. So we're going to put it to him. And we have to exactly what Justin Longview said. So we'll play that grab again to him and get the captain's perspective. Don't you think he cares how much he cares? I don't... I don't think... Bryce McGain, Australia's in action this morning against Bangladesh. 830, it is on prime, exclusive to prime video. Jesse Dart has got a winner and the guy was a tipping... has been a tipping genius over the last couple of weeks. Well, under Jesse Dart, he was in form again last week. And a whole lot more your texts, your calls, and we'll go through our stats. Our tips for base compression, of course, is only one, two, six games. I was five from six last week, pretty close. Yeah. Pretty close to the... Oh, you can't, your tips do. That's why I backed mine. We're trying to get wrong, free-o. Yeah, he took him. Failing to him. I just can't... all they care about is their touch. How many stats I get? Coming off the boa. Yeah, I know. They're too busy drinking on a bathwater after... Yeah, exactly. After the NT. And we've got to dig too, like your free inquiry online. I do have a waffle story that I'd like to chat with after 6.30. It's a waffle... a WAFL story. And I'll be... Parting that on our listening audience here. It's... I've given you a taster. You have. I'm looking at a taster here. Tea's something news. I mean, we'll just tease it even more. Yeah, people listening. So it is a waffle story and is involving two waffle clubs. And it will rock the foundations if it actually doesn't get a result. Let me tell you it right here, right now. It is hammer and goss. We're in the Tookie Depo studio. Thirteen, twelve, fifty-five. Or you can take zero, four, eight, seven, seven, three, six, seven, three, six. Text Hammer when Cox comes in, would Chapman move to a wing like an Isaac Smith role and play your brother more back in the middle again? Chapman is fast enough and a bit of text missing. But are you married in that? I think there's a bit of merit in that. Definitely. I think Chapman's too good to probably not be playing at the moment. He dominates when he goes back to a waffle. He's good when he's in the AFL. I think that warrants a bit of merit in shifting in the magnets. And Scotty from Bayes Water Morning Gents. I'm surprised you're working today. I mean, aren't we all millionaires after last night's Goss Lotto? We did not get a stinking number. We got the power ball. I know. What a flat old day today. I came in with the tickets. I'm normally going to do it online, but I went to the machine yesterday and actually bought a ticket to actually see it. I think that's going to have 40 million written all over it. Nothing. Not a Jetscracker. Eight, twenty-three past six, five degrees. It's actually warming up. It's going to be getting cooler. It's 20. We're heading for a top showers easing tomorrow. So if you've got to do washing and all that sort of stuff, do it this morning until you get that stuff dry. It is 24 past six on this day for the 21st day of June, the shortest day. It's the winter solstice. Are you a believer in the winter? Look at you. Well, what do you mean, am I a believer in it? What do you do? Do you have, sorry? It is a thing. Like it's certainly there is a shortest. This is the shortest day. All right, Hannah, but do you notice it? Well, it's like, you notice it by like a minute. No, I don't notice it. It gets, I mean, yes. I noticed that it gets light a little bit later and gets dark earlier. But I'm not just sitting at home thinking, "Oh, jeez, here we go. Shorter stay of the year. Lickin' my lips at this." Oh, yeah. Twenty-five past six. Birthdays, events, and some of the great moments in history. It's on this day. That it is, thanks to Baron Ho Day, because the little things are, everything hammers up and about, he walked in and he said, "I know it's the shortest day in the winter solstice, but it's still..." Yeah, exactly. It's doing things to me that winter solstice, I feel it in the air. This is one of my favorite segments, because I get to go and see if I can get over 50% of knowing or not knowing what you're talking about. Okay. Have you heard of Saray Davies? I know the song. How you learning? There you go. If in the kinks. I know the kinks, but this is it. There you go. Saray Davies. He's got the right answer. For his efforts to music. I'm one from one. Here you go. I'll give it to myself. Lionel Rose was born on this day in 1948. He died in 2011. He died on one rose. He died on one rose. And it left by a rose. And down go, get it out of here. That's the end of the boat. Three, four, five. And that's the end of the boat. Yeah, well, Bantamweight title in 1968. He beat fighting Harada, of course. And he also, a bit of a singer too. He retired in 1976, having won 47, who's 53. Two for two. You'd recognise this song. [MUSIC] Yeah, I do. Who thinks that? I couldn't tell you with any certainty unless I'm reading it right here. John Paul Young. Oh, there you go. JPY. JPY. He was born in Scotland, actually. But lived all his life in Australia. Here we go. He had a couple of others yesterday's hero. I hate the music. Love is over there. Right, isn't that right? Very much a wedding video song. Yeah. Makes sense. I've had it in two of my three videos. Marcela Detroit was born on this day 72 years ago. [MUSIC] Shakespeare's sister. Well, over my head this one, just gone. Good song. Sounds it. That's my first miss. I'm three from four. Craig Land's 50 today. He's got the lead. Craig Land's has got the lead of his race. After an amazing strategy play. Land's has done something miraculous today. And he goes on now to win. In Perth. Yeah. He's 100. Yeah. But a superstar of Australian motorsport. I caught talk of Craig Land. Brandon Flowers is 43. [MUSIC] I'm nailin this morning. Look at me. Five and six. Landsy, the killers. Come on. There we go now. Emma. Oh, that's five from six. I'll know this one. [MUSIC] Elizabeth's grab was born on this day 39 years ago. You would know it as Lana Del Rey. [MUSIC] This is just beating Emma with this. This is brilliant. What am I six from seven? This is podium worthy today. Yeah. Unless I strike out. I'm feeling pretty good. It's six from seven. It went to Solstice. It's doing something to me. I feel like we're on Nova. Yeah. Yeah. [MUSIC] Lana Del Rey. [MUSIC] Good number one golfer. He's 28 today. [MUSIC] Check the team's a difficult Augusta. [APPLAUSE] And his green jacket number two. [APPLAUSE] His bikes are fake. He is a frick. He is our star. He'd be arrested and still go out and play golf. Yep. Just sitting at home loving Jesus and just knocking in birdies. [LAUGHTER] He's a star, this guy. He certainly is. On this day in 1981, Donald Fagan and Walter Becker dissolved their 14 year music partnership. They were. Stilly day. [MUSIC] Yeah. No, not the dark. Not the dark. Oh, it's like it's the dark. [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC] The on this day was for Baron O'Dowd. Don't miss out on little moments. Good little things are everything. It's go straight to Jesse Dutt. You are a tipping machine, Jesse Dutt. You were on fire the last couple of weeks. Our listeners have loaded up. They've been looking for you. You're coming back. You're framing a football cup. Stank it up last week. But not you. You found winners galore at Belmont. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Yeah. It was a bit of a wave of emotions on Saturday. Going through one of the most dreadful performances I've seen in the pathway. Many years to a couple of nights wins at Belmont Park later in the day. Now, you remember Jesse Dutt? I've had this out with you before. Have I not? Do you remember this young fella? I don't. Oh, yes, I do. Actually, no. You don't go right. I do. Straight talk. Well, Sam Newman. Yes. OK, we'll get that up to the end if we can. Unless you've got it right there. Jesse, I need a winner. I need a winner for tomorrow at Belmont. Let's go. Well, we're going to rely on some family types for a group. I'm going to end race number two. Going with September born, who is the full brother to Group 1 of Kingston Town classic winner Casey. This horse has tripped pretty well on all four occasions. It was OK in an early season two year old in two trials. But it's too much recent barrier trials in preparation for his first start tomorrow. I've got me wanting to be on him. He was very good for a line on both occasions. And what I liked is he hasn't necessarily done it under no pressure. He's been asked for a little bit of effort both times. I think it's really important for a late season two year old coming in against horse that had some race experience under their belt. He's got some talent. I think there's a bit more under the hood than potentially one-level partners showing his hands for so far in the trials. But around three hours, 50, again, just ill with the next post form. I'm going to take him as I wait a start the day. Race two number six. All right. Where do we go next at Belmont Park tomorrow? Nine-race program. Jumping to race seven. And I quite like this horse, Dr Jay. I think he's got a bit of a feature ahead of him for the step the hollyard. We've seen good things from him so far as one. Two of his first four starts. Both his wins are at 1200 meters. Both of his placings or defeats are at 400 meters, which is what he can test today. But he's also been beaten lost in a length on both occasions. So I'm not too concerned about it going back up in trip after his good return at Pindar. Gets a part of him and the settle draws well. And there's plenty of speed in this race. I think if he can run a genuine 400 hundred meters, which I do think looking at him, he should be able to, they're getting this should be no problem. I like him as a good horse. And if he can get a win here, he might be one of these Belmont winter horses that just keep getting better and better and better. We usually get about two or three each year. They parlay form at this time of the year into the summer. To look at him and looking at his profile, I think he could potentially be one of them. So around $4.55 or thereabouts, Dr. Jay and Ray Seven is an approach I'm happy to take. Ray Seven and nine, Dr. Jay is your next turn, your last in the guineas or is it in race nine? Ray Seven and nine left. It is in the guineas. Have to jump off. Ray Spirit, who was so kind to us a fortnight ago, when you're looking at $4 in a pretty good field. I do a lot of looks of love and war, Patrick Carvery from Michael Granthon. She's done it at a different path to the three-year-olds, and this is often the form reference I look to take in these bigger three-year-old features throughout the season. I look for that form as maybe outside of the main comp because they can often trade wins with each other. I mean, Ray Spirit was very good in the raccoon tour, but the clumpy beat by a length and change could all legally go on reverse the result with different learns. Except it was a great ride by McGready last start. So a lot of them all for me. Beat the older horses last start, likes Belmont, gets to a mile, which I think, so she might be the Belmont oaks horse for this season, but I think she can probably pick this up on the way, too. So around $6, I think you may end up getting a bit of a better price for her. I'm not sure just without Pike on potentially not the most fashionable jockey trainer combination. Both are very good, obviously, but the market doesn't necessarily tend to gravitate towards Pat on Mickey Granthon. So you might get a better price for her, and I think she's a good way to approach her. All right, so the feature race and each label. All right, so be patient if you're having a bet in race eight, number 14, love and walk. Good on you, Jesse. Appreciate your time. Jesse Dart there with his tips. So they are 26, 79, and 814, 814, 26, 79, 814. We'll put our tips up on socials, and you'll be following, you're crazy not to follow this guy. He's been in absolutely rare form. Jesse Dart, people are going, "Ah, I've heard of Jesse Dart. "Will I hear him?" You go all the way back to street talking free-o and Sam Newman uncovered Jesse Dart. A break, we'll come back, talk cricket next. The T20 World Cup is getting to the serious stage, but we go to a break with Jesse Dart as a little lad. What about the doctors? How are they going, Jess? Well, I think they're very, very unhelpful with them. They're plays at the team, especially when Chris Conning was like, "Is that a telling place like front of their opponents? "It's a big step to your opponent's life. "I would try it on to them and like him to both. "So I don't think his opponent should be sacked." The A goes well. They're ready to get off their job. His dig is big. It's back down, John Wall's fault. He's hardly doing good. But the good thing is going floating. No, it didn't, no, it didn't, no, too. Down, down, down. As to our attention to cricket, the T20 World Cup. Bryce McGain, live and exclusive for prime video. It is today, 8.30. The first ball is bold. It is on prime. It is Australia versus Bangladesh. Bryce, appreciate your time. Australia's just chugging along nicely. Good morning. Yeah, always good to catch up, Gus. And good morning to you, Hamish. And look, Australia are chugging along. And I suppose this is the moment we sort of zero our focus in a bit. It was, I thought the group stages were fantastic because we got to see a lot of the associate nations get an opportunity against the big dogs, if you like. But now it sort of weeds it out. We're down to the final eight. There are two groups of four. Australia played three matches in this part of the tournament. Top two go through to semi-finals. And Australia are purring along very, very nicely. Really, to be brutally honest. So they've got today against Bangladesh. Today's time, Afghanistan and then against India. Really, really, it really will come down to the Indian game. I mean, the way the cards will fall, Australia and India should advance. Yes. You would expect so. Yeah. And if we have a cast ally across to the other group, England, South Africa, USA and the West Indies. West Indies, a bit of a wild card. Obviously they're playing at home and have performed pretty well. England gave them a bit of a touch up just yesterday. But you would expect England and South Africa to get through there at the way it sits at the moment. But funny things have happened. So it looks pretty straightforward, but it is T-20 cricket and anyone on their day can with one rip and whether that be with a ball all the bat in hand and can take a game away from you. So Australia would be wary, but you'd expect them to get through over Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Yeah, you would expect that, Bryce. We are just ticking along nicely. A bit weird to see cricket in America. I mean, I don't necessarily love it. I don't think it looks great. It's, I mean, good to expand the game. But I don't think cricket's going to get a major foothold in the United States. But in terms of Australia's run, I think it should be us and into your advancing. But Bangladesh and Afghanistan have got some players and can do, as you said, it's T-20 cricket, so anything can happen. What are the risks associated with the next couple of games for us? You know, they can throw anything at us and things can happen. But what should we be wary of? Yeah, look, Bangladesh are astutely coached down. It's a guy called Chandra Hatrasinger. Now, Chandica is from Sri Lanka, played a test career for Sri Lanka, and then played a bit of great cricket. And I actually played with him in Melbourne. But he's coached in New South Wales. He knows the Australians set up really well. So they're very well tuned. They're also very well data-driven, like Australia. And they understand the match-ups really well. So they've probably punched above their weight to be perfectly honest in this tournament. They've performed pretty well, although not really firing with the bat. So they will match up. They'll have plans. They'll be well-organized because they are well-coached. So it does make it a bit of a challenge for Australia. But look, the expectations are, look, Australia have every base cupboard. I was so buoyed about them at the beginning of the tournament, and they've tuned up. And this is without some of the big dogs really getting going. Maxwell hasn't really fired yet. We know he will. And this is the stage where he sort of steps into his own. And Mitch Marsha, as well, has just been not necessarily on the boil. He's been on the simmer, if you like. He's played some good shots. But obviously, pushing things along pretty hard at the top of the audit. You know, it can be a bit hit and miss. But the boys that have been doing well with the bat, Travis Head. And obviously, Marcus Stewart is a great return to touch for him. And he's been dominating that sort of patting part in the middle. Australia will roll back their big quicks. I've rested Cummins. I've rested Stark along the way, although he played the last game. And in comes Hauser, they'll play the three quicks. And that's going to be too much, I would suggest for being like this to handle a bit later in a couple of hours time. Yeah, all righty. So from here on in, we're in the super eight stage. Give us your finalists from now. The way it's all loaded up. And two plays, one and one plays four and four plays two, and all those sort of combinations. But who's the best four teams going to get through? Bryson, who's going to be the team that comes out on top? Yeah, as you said, look, it's going to be into Australia out of this division. Without any effort, that'll be staggered if something happens there. Look, I really like South Africa from the very start, before a ball's ball. The change with South Africa has been, and we understand, you know, their past record in semi-files gosh, but what they're able to do now, this is the first tournament they've gone in without restrictions in terms of their selection. And it has been a bit of a ham, you know, it has held them back. It's been in Achilles here. They haven't been able to pick their naturally best team. That's why there's so many South Africans playing all around the world, because of those sort of restrictions. It's been released. So they're picking their best team, and they're performing really well. They're a little bit under the radar off Broadway, but keep an eye on them. I think they might find their way through to a final, and maybe be good enough to knock off in England in a semi-final. All right, Bryson, appreciate your time, mate. Looking forward to it. It is a start, Perth time, our time this morning. Toss of the coin is eight o'clock, and first ball is eight, 30, at Savivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, and it is live and exclusive on Amazon Prime. Thanks for joining us, mate. Appreciate the chat. Anytime, boy, it's good to catch up. Have a good day. You too, mate. Bryson again, right there. Just before we go to the break-off, I have got this breaking news and story that's developing in the WAFL football ranks. Just got one for you. I am on a Friday. Friday, funny for Mike of Palmyra. Sure. Never wear noise-canceling headphones while vacuuming. I just finished the whole house and realised I hadn't plugged it in. How do you like that? That's good. Thank you. Simple but funny. It is. Stop a guy, man. Yeah, exactly. You're on the winter star this, mate. The winter star. You're on the winter star. You're on the winter star star. So this is a bit of WAFL news. I've been flagging a flag that last night on socials to make sure people were listening today. And I know that a couple of presidents have messaged me overnight and asked what the story is. So it is my understanding that an impasse has officially developed between the Eastramantle Football Club and Eastramantle City Council to the point where the Eastramantle Football Club, Southramantle Football Club, in the city of Fremantle, of where Fremantle Oval is, in the heart of Fremantle, have been in constant talks and consultation about Eastramantle playing all games, home games at Fremantle Oval and not just in the short term, but forever going forward. Geez. 1906, they've been at Eastramantle Oval. So it's for the shark parks done. Eastramantle Football Club and the Eastramantle Council are at loggerheads over commercial opportunities, sales opportunities. Well, there's no, there was no gate on the things that people could just roll in. They're going to sell enough hot dogs to keep Eastramantle flat, are they? And there's Eastramantle are not happy with any deal put forward to them by the town of Eastramantle and that they believe in their best interest going forward. All home games will be played at Fremantle Oval and that is way down the pathway of happening. So Eastramantle, I'm led to believe, will stay and have their base at Eastramantle. So there's where their officers will be and that's where the players will train. But as... Goodness. Saturday, Sunday, weekend fixes, will be played at Fremantle Oval. That is massive, if true. Wow. It's reached a point where Eastramantle are so unhappy with the deal. I heard they've butchered that place from all reports. The players aren't happy that the public gyms, four times the size of their gym, they're having to share lockers with their cults, resis, leg, Rogers and WaffleW. How can you build a new facility that's costing however many million? And have such oversights from... Must have zero consultation with anyone from the football club or any of the players. It's got to a point now, just repeating that Eastramantle Football Club, unless things are completely flipped on their head and the Eastramantle Council come to the party with a better deal that Eastramantle have been in constant dialogue with Southramantle and the city of Fremantle to play all home games at Fremantle Oval. Not just this year, but in the future. A break, after seven o'clock, Alex Pierce, your thoughts on that. Our tips for the round, this is Hammer and Goss in the studio at 7.9 degrees. Hamish pressure in the studio. Got Ian Goss Friday morning, talking all things footy, heading for a top of 20 degrees. Don't forget on Sunday, partly cloudy, 18 degrees. All the action will be heard on SEM. Fremantle will take on the Gold Coast Suns and a four-day forecast for nutrient water. Your destination for all things water. 20 sunny today, beautiful day. 19, 18, 18. Your irrigation pump and filtration products, best as in nutrient water. Visit nutrientwaterstore.com.au, coach of Fremantle, Justin Long. You had this to say about some of his players' stats, stuffing the sheet. I mean, everyone loves looking at the Peel stats on all of all their players. It's not just Neil. They love looking at all the stats and reading stats and thinking a good game is determined by what stat sheet says at the end of the day. I don't have a look at the stat sheet, and not even at our game. At the end of the day, look at all aspects of their role, that contribute to us being a good team. There's no doubt in the seniors on the weekend that guys were worried more about how many possessions they got, than how they competed in the contest, how they pressured the opposition and how they defended. That's not what I stand for. It is a coach. Justin Long, you are. Alex Pierce is the doctor's captain. Alex, appreciate your time. Harsh words from the coach. Has it been talked about internally? Has he spoken to the playing group about stat watching? Not quite in those terms. Music to my ears over because I never, stuff to stat sheet. It's very nice of you. I don't look at the stats either. So, Jay and LRI are on the same page there. Oh, look, I get what he's talking about. I'm not sure what the question refers to, but we've spoken a lot this week about what we value as a team and what's important, and that has to start with team defense and contest. And I think if you ask most teams around the contest, that's what I'll say. And as I said, we didn't go quite going into those. That's the language. But, yeah, this way, it's the targeted team defense and contest, which is what it has been all year. And we'll choose clearly, fell away for us last weekend. You're probably not going to admit to this, but you come off that huge win against Melbourne in the NT. You have a buy and you come back and you probably dish up your worst performance along with the Derby. It just wasn't the freer we expected. And then everyone says, "Oh, well, you're probably drinking your own bath water and believing in all the publicity that you're back and you're going to contend again." How, when you're playing the difference between what you dished up against Melbourne, to what you dished up against the dogs. Just tell us what actually does go wrong. Is it mind? Is it strategy? What is it? Yeah, oh, look, I wish I could tell you exactly. That's clearly what we've been talking a lot about. For the early in the week, we've moved on now, the post game. We're all asking that same question. And, yeah, we talk like it comes up. The buy and the preparation leading into it and like heading into the game. We'd prepared as well as we had all year. And I think from a physical point of view, we kicked every box and we were ready to go. So I think it is. It is mind. Like, whether you subconsciously take a foot off the paddle after what was, yeah, clearly a good win. A fortnight ago and you have the buy. So, look, I think something I spoke about early in the week, it's just by this industry that we're in, it's so counter-throated, so tough. Every week, you come up against an opposition that's desperate, hungry for a win. And that's what the Bulldogs were a couple of weeks ago. And we were a bit off and you just can't afford to have those little lapses in the season. So, look, it's a really, it's a good learning. I wish we didn't have to go through it. And it gives us a little realignment of, as I was sort of touched on it, as JL was touched on, what's really important. So, yeah, definitely excited to, well, I'm sure we put that one behind us and come out on Sunday in front of our home crowd, finally, for the first time in a month and put in a performance, which is more like us and more that we'll be proud of. Yeah, Alex, it's, look, I think looking at this year, you can see the best of Fremantle. And I think it's as good as anyone in the comp when you guys are up and going and you're going well. The drop off is obviously, as the weekend just showed, it says quite a bit of a gap and there's never, no one ever goes out and doesn't try and play in football. And sometimes it happens. And the stuff that JL's sort of talking about in terms of the way that players are approaching games and caring about things other than the contest, it's as a leader. How do you sort of, I know no one goes out there and doesn't try, but you have games like that where it just does fall apart pretty quickly. And now you've, with the competition so tight, this week's massive, next week's massive, every week is huge with the position on the ladder. As a leader, how do you sort of get the boys to be really dialed in and be focused every week with the ups and the downs and all the rest of it? How do you guys keep on track? Yeah, that's a good question. We've spoken a lot around this time of year as well. We're heading into winter, it gets to be colder, it gets to be darker. It gets a little bit harder to continue the habits and processes that you've built throughout the early part of the season. So we're trying to, like as leaders, set the example and make sure we're doing everything and trying to find the ways to reach that performance every week. And it's definitely a, like a conversation that, yeah, we can sort of set the standard environment and try and get guys out. But it's also an element where each player has to take control of their individual destiny in their career and keep finding ways to recover, train well to all year. Your regular preparation and it can get quite boring really. It's a pretty, like it's rinse and repeat for the whole season, it gets twice in the time. So we're working with coaches in the whole group about trying to find ways to keep things fresh and just remind everyone that, yeah, this is the industry that we're in. And it's tough and you need to keep finding ways to motivate yourself each week. And as I said, recover and do all those little things that you need to do to make sure that when we rock up on game day for those two hours, we're ready to give absolutely everything we've got. And yeah, you're right, there's a couple of times this year that we've fallen away, but for the rest of the season, we really look like a side who can compete with anyone. And that's what we're looking to do this weekend. Yeah, it's not all German gloom is. And as we move forward to the Gold Coast Suns, you are in the eight, you've got a healthy percentage, your playing stocks are pretty good, you've made some changes and the guys into the squad, Chapman Davies for debut, if possible, he's lined up against you, in fact, he'll play, Tom Emmett, Erasmus and Wagner. They're all, they'll all get games for other clubs. I mean, Hugh Davies, we're going to get a side hop, but they're all going to get games for other clubs. So it's not all sort of a doom and gloom there. So what's your expectation of the weekend? You talk about being at home for the first time, the conditions should be OK, and you take on Gold Coast. And if I'd said to you, Alex, that it would be a Gold Coast forward loan without Ben King and without Jed Walter, who's everyone talked about how good and big and strong he's going to be, you might not have a role on the weekend, you might not, might as well not play captain. Geez, John, glad you're not coaching the team. I don't know if I want to spell now. Look, I think I just mentioned about how tough this industry is and how we're going to get started. I know about that. I don't think the Gold Coast are going to roll over, and so here you go, boys, I have four points. So I hope no one else is listening to this now, listening to this, but I'll get them back on track now. Look, it's, you touched on the guys, yeah, coming in, potentially coming in. It's really exciting, Hughie Davies. If the young kid has been working so hard for the last couple of years and played some good footy toward them the last year, and has just really kept stacking performances this season, and it's like what you really want to play with when we rock up to work on a Monday. And we review both P.L.A. and A.L.A. and he's always, he's always in the clear school, and he's body on the line. And yeah, really excited that he gets his opportunity, gets to run out with him. And yeah, from everyone else who gets their chance, and as we've sort of touched on, knows him a little bit we're moving on from last week. And we want to play with that brand of footy, with intense physical, tough brand of footy that we've played for a large part of this year. And we're all sort of excited to do that, particularly in front of our home fans. It's been a while, it's great to get back to office. And yeah, there's a really exciting amount of groups to come out and perform on Sunday. Everyone tries to take it a week at a time in football, and then you can sort of take blocks of the year and chunk it up and have themes and all the rest of it and focus on a bit. And yes, you've got Gold Coast to beat this week. You've got a pretty tough month of football coming up. Gold Coast haven't won away from home, but they're due to play a good game outside of the Gold Coast. And so that could be any week. Then you've got Sydney and we've got Richmond who are playing a little bit, you know, they're playing a little bit better. And then you've got the Hawks who are flying. So it's with the competition as tight as it is, you've got to be at your best every other week. And I mean, I know that you focused on the Gold Coast this week. What do you guys look at the next month of football? Do you have guys that sort of project forward and you have a different way that you approach a certain block? Or is it as just as simple as right, we knock over Gold Coast, we go to Sydney, we do that. Or do you sort of have a bit of a theme for a big chunk of football? We do sometimes portion up certain games of the season and it's been a bit of a narrative around it, but I think as we've touched on the narrative around this game is it's just a bounce back from last week and we're solely focused on our performance and getting back to our brand of football. Yeah, look, I don't look too far ahead personally. Like I said, I'll be like JL, don't look at the stats sheet, don't look too far ahead. Give me some blokes to do and that's fine though. I think we're pretty comfortable with how everyone's sort of prepared for this Sunday and you're like, as we've sort of touched on getting into a trap of getting ahead of yourself, focusing on other things and then if you do that and come up in your platoon, that's build hungry and ready to go and you find yourself into the trouble. Yeah, now it's all everything's focused on. Gold Coast on Sunday. All right, are you about to brush your teeth? So we won't hold you any longer or are you just running the tap for cleaning the cup or whatever you're doing there? Hey, captain. I didn't run it, so yeah, get ready to reach the thing. So winter solstice might be happening. Winter solstice today, is that intriguing at all? It doesn't have you mentioned it. It's not something to pat on the calendar, but yeah, it's good to know. I don't want to take notice with the life of the day as we go. Exactly right. We're still dark outside of the quarter past seven. Alex Pierce is our guest. Hey, look, you're probably spoken about this ad nauseam. I'm just intrigued by you. Now this is personal. Last year, from an outsider looking in, it looked like the captain says, "As much as you're trying to lead," and everyone's telling us how well an inspirational leader you were, that whether it would be a fitness, whether it be your mental capacity to cope with, you know, the year, whatever it may be. But it looked a little ragged at times. And everyone said, "Oh, you might not be the right pick for captaincy." Now we see this Alex Pierce, all Australian contention. Great leader. I mean, you've always been beautifully spoken and a strong leadership of mind and voice. What did you seek assistance? Did you see what we were seeing looking in? Do you feel the pressure last year and this year is different? I'm interested to know about Alex Pierce's spin, or Alex Pierce's view on what everyone else thought they were seeing last year and the pressure of being the captain. Yeah, interesting one. I was aware of all the noise around. Me last year. And I'm often my biggest critic. And I was probably not playing up to the level that I would like. And getting a bit more attention always makes that a little bit harder. I think one thing that got me a little bit of trouble last year was putting a bit too much pressure on myself and wanting to be everything and do everything for everyone. And when you start the equality like we did, it just made it. Yeah, it made that really, really tough. This year, I don't know if things just felt a little bit more comfortable. I felt a bit more settled in the role. I've had some time to get accustomed to things and to take a little bit of pressure off myself. I've also continued to have the same support throughout the leadership group, which last year was young and new. And yeah, look, it's like I've had my health experience a little bit better. This year, it's been often on the track a little bit more. All of these things going into the melting pot a little bit. So nothing left field? It wasn't there. Nothing left field. You didn't go and sit in a room and play in here with some incense and all that sort of stuff. You didn't do anything really weird. Oh, I don't mean that. Oh, I did. But that's nothing to do with it. I can't do it. But you know what I mean? I don't want to say something and that would be like Alex Pierce, makes revolutionary for the changes his, the changes his captaincy. Like I went on a trip with a few of the leaders in JL last year to the States. And we looked, we went through some other professional sporting organization, NFL, NBA, college football. And it was a good experience in it. Like during that time, I was reflecting quite a bit on the season and it sort of, oh, and I've seen the really high, high performers, the high success environments around the world. It sort of put things into perspective about what we're doing and we're trying to be the best in the world at our craft. And it potentially made me sort of reassess and prioritize a few different things. I've taken off uni for this trimester to give myself a bit of extra mental space and capacity. And look, I don't know, I said just taking a bit of pressure off myself. It's been, it's been one thing that allowed me to be really confident. And I think when you're playing confident and you're not trying too hard, that makes, makes you better player and makes you better later. Otherwise, when I came in, wanted to be authentic and not be anyone else. And it just took me a little bit of time to be able to trust myself to actually, yeah, be my authentic self and not be trying too hard to please other people or worry about what's going on in the media. So yeah, I don't know, like everything, little bits and pages throughout that have, yeah, that have helped me get to where I am now. Yeah, well, I think Alex, just looking in as good a defender as there is in the combat the moment and you're flying along and you've got the Freo team galvanized. The back line looks good. Now, a little bit of, we've talked winter solstice, we've talked leadership, we've talked all sorts. So on a lighter note, Hugh Davies comes in this week for his debut. He's, I mean, we love backman. He's going to be playing alongside you down there. What can you tell us about him? What can, I mean, you don't need to expect much. He's day billing. You just got to get out there and have fun. But what, what can you tell us about the young kid? Well, straight to the best sport and allow me to play a bit of a roll off roll. That's the first thing obviously, the young fella, straight into the call phase. No, like he's, as I sort of touched on before, he's a, a bit of a team favorite, Hugh, he's off the field. He's just a, he's good value. He's, he's fun. He's always up, he's always up for a, up for a chat and a bit of a life of the, the addressing room. But on field, he's just, I think it probably came a time late last season when things have clicked and returned and he's just become a guy that's really dog hungry and desperate. So I think the respect of his teammates when he plays and, and I sort of touched on when we review sort of peel games and stuff. He's always coming up in clips and gets plenty of praise. And the respect of his sort of his teammates is just super high. So it was definitely a popular inclusion. And it's, yeah, it always makes you think when your guys are day billing and particularly down back what it was like for me, when it was eight, straight on nine years ago when it happened. And yeah, exciting. I know myself and Luke, you want to make it easy for him. And yeah, let him enjoy himself and play his way and have fun. And hopefully in the end, get a win and really celebrate well with him. Will he get to take a kick in? You got to give him a kick in? Just get him on the board early? Look, that's not my domain. I just find scratch for every kick I can get. And like that. So Luke, after he's talking to Luke, he and potentially Clark, if you want to kick in. Yeah, well, your stats were very flat last week. Nine disposals, four marks and one clearance. But lots of spoils, Alex. So not that you know the stats and you don't care about them, but there you go. But I don't know them. But look, people tell me regardless of them. Did more of the ball, mate. Fantastic. Looking forward to it. Huge chance to bounce back and some possible some ends. You lose Michael Walters and made a change down back with Josh Draper, where Hugh Davies comes back in. Appreciate your time, appreciate your honesty. Always well spoken and good luck on Sunday. Thanks a lot, fellas. Alex, thank you so much. Yeah, he's a good speaker. Isn't he? He's a good speaker. He slept in with the winter solstice, hasn't he? Just nice and relaxed. Yeah, he's very strong out of bed. Yeah, I don't think he rates the winter solstice as much as you have. No, I know. I mean, look out, so I can still can't even see out there yet. Can't even see the canfield. Or, I can't get your name on it. It's got your name on it. Welcome, Hamish. Andrew Rayshaw, brother, was asked recently, a couple of weeks ago, might have been in last week, the back half of the season. Give us a debut. Give us, predict the future for your football club. This is Andrew Rayshaw. Big second half of the four. Hugh Davies. I reckon he could be potentially lining up in the purple sometime this year. Wow. There it is. That was against before the Melbourne game. That's a top end. I mean, I don't want to keep harping on the solstice, but, geez, it's in the air. And he probably knew that it was around this time. Very good work. And yesterday, Hugh Davies was announced to make his debut. He rang his family. They didn't answer. So then he rang his best mate, Maxie Raw, who's got a very bright future. He's in the '18s Championship. I think he hit four against Australia the other day. So he rang his best mate to tell him, have a listen to this reaction. We go to the break. Here's Hugh Davies sharing the news with his best mate, Max. What are you doing, Ray? Not good. What are you doing, Sunday? Are you scared? Yeah. I'm playing, bro. I **** you. Yeah. You're finding out for mum and dad. See your special, special one. Oh, no way. Yeah. That didn't pick up. I'm the sole shoeist brother. Yeah. It's on the sole shoe. Look around. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Gold Coast. Yeah. Those are in for a bad day. We're going to dig our way up. No, no. Dig up, stupid. Before you dig, lodge a free inquiry on line 131255, if you've got a dig. Don't dig blind. Search before you dig online everytimebyda.com.au. How many you got a dig? I got a dig. It's, I mean, I feel like these bikes have been dug enough this year. But for good reason, in my opinion, I am digging the AFL. I'm hiring for Trinity this weekend. I don't want to see a game because, have an outcome because of you guys. I know that you try. It's a very hard game to unpire. There's rules changing every week in the AFL. Don't know what they don't know if they're Arthur or Martha. But I don't want to see a decision in the last two minutes of a game. Decide an outcome. North Melbourne versus Collingwood last week. Nick Dacos, no, no, no. Kicks it to Bailey Scott. That's a 50-minute penalty. Shouldn't happen. Nick Dacos gets tackled. That's how the ball should have been. The Mack Andrews won the week before, Elliot the other week before. Jordan Clark, the descent rule, free kick, goal, game over. The Brisbane Hawks won out of bounds in the fall, downfield. Gunston takes it, not maybe our child is. That's fine. I've just off the top of my head. I don't want to see the umpires influence a game in the last two minutes. I know that we want you to umpire the same the whole way, but I don't. I want you umpire a lot. Umpire the last five minutes of a close game differently than you do the first five. Be much, be more lenient with things. Only pay free kicks if they're definitely there. And if they are there, pay them. But just, yeah, it's, uh, I don't want to see the men in green and women in green, alter a game at the end of the last five minutes. There's a dig from Hammer of Racial umpires. He doesn't want them to be the news after the six games. Well, umpires are great, by the way. They're great, you know. Three vites. 26 of them, actually. Martis Leveschain is playing for Gloucestershire in the Vitality T20 blast over there in England. You need to get yourself to a TV screen online, wherever it may be, to witness this. And straight away, he's hit down the ground. Oh, my God. Unbelievable. That is incredible. Leveschain. What a catch. That is 100 full stretch. That is one of the greatest catches you've ever seen. Brilliant catch. That's pure athleticism and a hand-eye coordination to take that catch. Wow. No wonder he's being mobbed by his teammates. That is incredible skill, it certainly was incredible. And the Gloucestershire sent it out and the celebration was huge. My little, little backhanded dig, thanks to byda.com.au. Don't dig blind search before you dig is always give a slow mo of a great catch. Yep. They didn't. They just played 30 seconds and all that. Done. And they sent it out on socials, they sent it out. Yeah, fine. Go with the slow mo as well. The amount of ground, the white shot of him diving, you saw it this morning. Yep. Best catch you've seen? That's as good a catch as I've ever seen. The Jordan Silk one and the baby. Oh, I can't remember, he's taking a million of them, but they've been a couple of crackers. But that is, that's as good a catch as you'll ever see in a game of cricket. It was coming at speed. It was an inch off the ground. He was coming at speed. It was amazing. One handed, unbelievable. My little dig is a little bit of crack, a little bit of crack. If you're running social media, go with the best pitches so people can really lower it down. Yeah, slow it down. Hey, just really quickly on the text line from Kim Frosty, our man down south. I don't have a single cell in my body that would acknowledge or follow Freeo, but Alex Pearce is a wonderful speaker. Great sense of humor and no wonder he's the captain. Thank you, Frosty. And Dave, what an impressive man Alex Pearce is. Some people talk and just feel what they're saying. That they're saying because they're a genuine person and that is Alex Pearce. The Dockers leadership is in some seriously good hands with Pearce. What an absolute legend. Agree. Let's get a break away. Have you got your tips ready? Got him. Yeah, come on with a bullet, but I am still in front of it. This is Hammer and Goss. What's up? Time to get discounted prescriptions and save more money at Kim's warehouse. Christopher Funnis. Good morning. You're about to go through the teams. But huge in tonight. A Razzio Fantasia. Your boy, guys. You love him. He's back in for the blues. Wow. He's back. He is back. You'll be able to. Good luck to him. Just don't say the reason. Poor Razzio. Tui Henry Dangerfield in for the Cats. We've got a quick, didn't we? Who's in? Tui Henry Danger. Yeah, that raises the average age. A little bit of a fun song, doesn't it? You'll go through the teams for the WA Games. Of course, in the cricket of Afghanistan, they just went down to India. I say that, India made eight for 181. Afghanistan all out of 134. Yep. And England won five eight wickets against the West Indies. Speaking of England, they drew with Denmark in Euro 2024. One all Spain beat Italy. One nil earlier this morning. Ash Barty set to play at Wimbledon in an exhibition doubles match. That's exciting. Back on court. No, it's not. No, it's not either. It's not exciting. No, just yeah. Just exhibition games, it cares. Bacon's making big news. It's all over the place. It's making big news because the headline rates. Ash Barty back at Wimbledon. Returning to the court. Yeah, she's telling me. Maybe a scum for the race. Seriously. How could they? Unbelievable. And the Perth Wildcats fixtures are out. We've got so many Friday night games at home at HRAC. So you're up and about about that. Goss, Corn, Forescien. We've got Friday, September 20th, Perth. Care factor for them is huge right now. Southeast Melbourne. But if we sell them. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. We'll still be there. Heavily involved. 100% we will be. So yeah, Friday, September 20, it all kicks off against the Phoenix 6.30 pm. They're going to be better than Phoenix. They've gone on a heavy recruiting campaign. Yes. But nah, we're back at the Wildcats. Oh, big time. Any time you got cotton mate. Any time you got cotton. Right, let's off at your own peril. Yeah, discounted prescriptions and save more every day at Kevin's warehouse. All right, we're coming back. Thanks to base compression. Our tip. So as it stands right now. Hammer, 69, Scotland, 70, Hazelbee, 75, and the Guru, 78. On one off the podium. I'll get these four blokes in it and you'll one off the podium. Yeah, well, I was going to start the light and go to bed. And I don't know how you guys have cheated to make me be down there. There's a thing called the first four at the races. Yeah, I'm in there. Yeah, you're in there first four. I'm in the first four. 23 away from me just repeating that news. Ash Bardi back on court. Yeah. Or as you're a fantastic playing tonight. It's huge. It's a huge party. Merv reckons that there's a culture problem issues down at Fremantle. Disappointed, says Merv, that I didn't ask. Okay. Sorry. I didn't think there was a culture problem down there. Do you think there's a culture problem down there? No. You got issues with players and debutants. Oh, yeah. Yeah. All mobile phones should have been my dig. I hate it. Let me like, you call your parents after your day. It's the best time you get drafted. That's awesome. That's unscripted. That's just raw and it's amazing. Call debuting is your next big thing. And for clubs to just be like, hey, this is the best moment ever. And I know you're going to call your parents who are going to be so excited. Let me just film it and you can put it on FaceTime. Like, I'm never FaceTime. Like, never FaceTime, my mum. If I'm calling my mum or dad, it's like, I pick out the phone. Or, hey, can we just FaceTime for a bit? Yeah, what's going on? Like, are you OK? Or are you married? Are you going to have a kid? Or what's going on? Like, it's a weird thing to just FaceTime. I think it takes the reality out of the situation. It makes it less exciting. It makes it the connection that you can have with your parents. Saying, I am making my AFL day boo. Gets thrown out the window for a little bit of social media content. I think do it first. And then maybe do a little bit of some piece of camera afterwards or something. Do you agree? Or disagree with the hammer? Let us know 0487736. And Roy is texting. He said, why does SEO have two different calls for footy? Bottom line is Roy, just so you know. We have two calls for footy, because one is a national call that provides national sponsorship opportunities, goes around the country. And the other is local, which supports our local market and sponsors. So there it is there. That's why we have two different calls. And I reckon if every radio station had the choice, they'd do exactly the same thing. But we are ahead of the curve here on SEN. And you can hear my call with Hayes and you can hear us. The big dogs who do the national call. And then you have the local dogs. We have La Fos and Jimmy and Scotty. And they do a magnificent job for our local sponsors right through the West Australian network. And you can listen to either. And you can get SEN Sync at home. Just tap on the sync or you can get SEN Stadium call. You can get that as well. Stuff we provide. Listen to you guys, one quarter. The other guys, the next one. Yeah, why not? Listen, national, national. Trust me, if you listen to me for one quarter, you won't be going over that. Yes, and listen to us for one quarter. Listen, SEN WA for one quarter. Realize how much better the national call is. No, that's not sure I'm going over that job. 20 away from eight o'clock, 9.2 degrees, heading for a top of 20 today. Base compression, proudly Australian-owned, elevate your performance with base. Visit basecompression.com.au today. Love it. After a life, 2007 on the PS2, that was mine. Get on there. This song would play at my own, my career. Andrew and I used to play as Port Adelaide. Steven Salapek won the Brownlee medal, the Coleman medal, kicked 480 goals. Jeez, it was good fun. Absolutely hammer. It comes across as completely contrived. Not a fan at all. Too much social media influence. Bennett says Steve in Brooklyn. Thank you, Steve. I like it. Where's Brooklyn? Couldn't tell you with any certainty, unless he's listening from the States. If you are, Steve, good on you. What's the time over there? Good on you, Steve. Can we just solstice in the States? Be awesome. The opposite, the summer solstice. There and there. I can't believe you said that. Base compression, base compression, proudly Australian-owned, elevate your performance with base. Visit basecompression.com.au and that to Holy Grail was channel 10. That was their influence. There you go. I came in with that. Let's go through these games tonight and we'll give you a haze and Scotty's tips. So just repeating the tipping panel, hammer on 69, with a late coming to the party, but has had his tips in the West Australian newspaper. 70 Scotty and he's gone OK. He's trying to find his way back. Yeah, yep, yep, yep. 75 to the hazelnut and yours truly is on 78. It's just a matter of the margin, boys. Just a matter of the margin. Yeah, right. I have 40 royals here. Thank you very much. I think they pay 30 dividends. I think this. How many games Waffle Games did I play with combined? Waffle Games, AFL Games, State Games between you, Scott and Hayes. I played none. And look at me. You look at me putting you three books in the shade. Boy, am I impressive. I'm the king. Busy on you. I am very proud of myself. Thank you. Thank you. That's enough now. Don't need any more. I've got daggers in the side of the head right from him. He's not happy. He's got a snarl. He's off. Tonight, it is a Razia Fantasia. You know, that's going to change. It's for the boys. Jack Carroll goes out. Gee Long get a tsui Henry. That's a big in. And a danger field. Shannon Neils, omitted and Tana Broun. And Ree Stanley injured. This game is at the MCG tonight. I think Carlton win. I think Carlton are the second best team in the competition at the moment behind the Sydney Swans. Massive wins for Geelong. But I just think Carlton are playing really well. They've got some very good players across. I think their two tall forwards are going to be too much for Geelong's defense. I think Carlton will win. Carlton, for me. I don't see any reason why not. I'm not sold on Geelong. Even at home now, they don't seem to have that they're not a force like they once were. And then midfield is really struggling. And Steve Brooklyn is just out of Footscray. There you go. Thank you, Steve. Foot is grey as opposed to Brooklyn in the States. Yeah, obviously. Thank you, Steve. Good on you, Steve. Who do you got next? Tim? Never heard of Brooklyn. Anyway, we've got the next game. And that is... Port Brisbane on the street. Thank you. There's three games on Saturday. Port V, Brisbane. And this game, of course, is at the Adelaide Oval. Seventh-place Port versus 13th-place Brisbane. And the named line-ups Logan Evans, Jordan Sweet. Finlace and Willy Rioli in for Port. Soldo, omitted. Wow. Darko, omitted. Dillon, Williams, omitted. And Francis Evans, omitted. Shadow Brain in for Noah Answorth, who's injured at Brisbane. This game is on Saturday at the Adelaide Oval. Who would you like to tip, Tim? I'm Timing Brisbane. That's disappointing. I'm Timing Brisbane. Yeah, I think they're the one team that I, one of the teams, I think Western Bulldogs might be other, who are outside the eight, but I've just got a feeling there might have been a penny drop moment where things are starting to write their way. I mean, their forward line is dangerous. They can expose a pretty average back line. Port Adelaide, they went and got Radigalea. They went and got the Cirque Thatcher. I just don't think it's the right mix. I don't think it's right for them in Brisbane for me to cause an upset. Yeah, I am behind, so it's probably that time where I have to start taking opposites. I did, well, I was going to tip Brisbane, but they've been average for the last month, and they've only just beaten and killed it, who are putrid. So I am going to go against what I said to you about two minutes ago. I got Solby, and I'm going to tip Port Adelaide. Wow, so put Adelaide for Scotty, put Adelaide for Hayes, put Adelaide for Hammer. And Brisbane. We won back for me. So you say, Battle of the Bridge, Sydney take on GWS. Now, this is at Engie Stadium, the home of the Giants. It's fifth place first. It is the game of the round. Locky Ash, Rosuski, and Peetling in. Rosuski, if he plays, will be his debuts. Sam Taylor is injured. Nick Haynes is seriously injured. And Cadman, wow, has been omitted. Cadon Cleary in for Matt Roberts. If Cleary plays, it will be his debut. Scotty says swans, Hay says swans. I'm tipping swans. And you're tipping? I'm tipping Sydney as well. They're the best team by so far, it's not funny. All righty, so everyone, there's a little push for the GWS. There he is, there he is. I think they're coming, they're coming good, but they're coming up against the best team. All righty, Melbourne. Tomlinson, Tholstrup, and Kynan Brown is in. Patraka injured, Billings omitted, Bali, Laurie injured. Brown, if he plays the debut. Dylan Stevenson, Simkin in for North Melbourne. Stevenson omitted, Feynan, Kellan Dawson is suspended. Brown is debuting, they did the first time with his old man. That was, they got emotional and it was great, but like, that doesn't need to be on camera. Take that off camera and then, you know, happy. Anyway, Melbourne are, I think the second or worst, second or third worst team in the competition at the moment. I think if you were to throw a blanket over three teams, you'd go North Melbourne, West Coast, and Melbourne. They are putrid, they are horrible, and they will lose to North Melbourne. Yeah, I'm 100% with you. North Melbourne will beat Melbourne days. 100% with you. Yeah, I can't believe the market and I can't believe what everyone's suggesting. North Melbourne for me are absolute, take it to the bloody bank. Wouldn't you? North Melbourne. Yeah, North for me too, which is disappointing, but I'm really, I'm here, I'm looking at the podium. Do you know where I've been meeting me? Yeah, I'm at the podium now, I'm gunning for Scotty, so I've got one back on him. So, D's for Scotty, D's for Hayes and Hammer and I are going with the power of the team of North Melbourne, who are coming with a bullet. All righty, our two games on Sunday, and they involve our WA teams. We've got to get through these. Essendon, Redmond, Dersma, Draper and Caddy all in. Sartis is out to Sartis. We should have, we should have got Draper on. He owes us for me going on his podcast. Jaden Hunt, Oscar Allen, Tyler Brothman, Jothraothum, Adam Sheed is injured. Any hope? Oscar Allen's back, is he? He is, yeah. Still don't think they win. Is he really? I really, I haven't heard a thing about that. No, it has been, we broke it on this station yesterday. Well, there you go, I still haven't heard a thing. I don't think, don't give a vote, you are. I don't think Essendon are very good at all. I think they're somehow fourth, but they're just going. But I just think that the blueprint is out on how to beat West Coast if they start going well, and it is Tag Harley Reid. Harley's not playing though, so that'll help. Yeah, Essendon for mine. Essendon, Essendon, Essendon for all of us. Chapman, Davies, Emmet, Erasmus and Wagner in for Frito. Walters is injured, Draper's been omitted. Powell, Rogers Day, Witz, Ellis, Johnson, Davies, OA in for, Gold Coast, Fieri dropped, King injured, Holman dropped, Jed Walter dropped, Moyle dropped. Free metal. Yeah, Frito. Gotta have to. If you, if the Frito, there's no chance of them doing anything if they lose this game. We all tipped Carlton, we all tipped Swans, we've all tipped Essendon, we've all tipped Frito. The difference being you've all tipped Port, Scotty Hayes and Hammer of all tipped Port, I tipped Brisbane, Scotty and Hayes tipped the D's and you and I on the same page with North Melbourne. Rob of Hobart for the text. Thank you very much, Rob. He was talking about SCN, footy callers and emotion and hard calls and a lot of love for Dwayne Russell on there as well. Hey Hammer. Yes. Nice to have you in. It's great to be here. Be careful because it's still dark out there. It is still dark out there. The winter stops. Listen, by the time I get to work, it might already be dark again, because there's not a lot of daylight in today. So East Fremantle may never play at Shark Park again. Wow. That hurts. I did lose there by a loss at that ground by 118 points one day, so I'm pretty happy to never say it, but it's tough. Good luck on the weekend, who you got? We've got Swan Districts out of Bassindean. Oh, Shark, I had to steal Blue. Yeah, steal Blue out of the Canbar Scotty, he'll be there. He'll be holding up an end. He goes there for the Colts to watch his boy play and stays all day. Canbar's open it. No, no, no, he opens it. Good on you. Good on you, mate. Nice work by you.
