Jesus is the true light of the world. John 8:12 His radiance reveals God. Jesus is the exclusive source of spiritual light. No other source of spiritual truth is available to mankind. He said, "I am the Light of the World. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12

To know Jesus is to know and see what God is like. Those who follow Him will not walk in darkness. John 8:12

Just as physical light is necessary for physical life, spiritual light is necessary for spiritual life. Even in nature we see this truth – plants are always drawn to the light.

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Light exposes evil, this is why those who are not walking with Christ don’t want to be around true believers. John 3:19 & 20 people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, unless his works should be exposed.

We are the light of the world. Matt. 5:14-16 14 “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
