#1 Vessels of Honor Carry the Honored One Flawless and pure, holy and righteous is His Living Word, His Living Expression! 1 Cor. 6:19-20 do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. His Living Expression has taken residence within YOU! o If everything that Jesus did was written down, the whole world could not contain the books that would be written. o John 21:25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Yet Jesus, the Living Word is contained in us His created ones! The Holy Spirit in us makes known to us what we need when we need it if we live yielded. #2 We are Vessels Called to Carry the Arc of His Presence! o 1 Cor. 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? o 2 Timothy 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Called to carry Him to do His works! #3 The Vessel that contains the substance must be compatible and comparable to properly carrying its substance. Is your vessel compatible to carrying His holiness, His Living Expression? Are you carrying His glory? o 2 Cor. 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. o Be holy for without holiness you will not see God. o Heb. 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord o Matt. 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Those who are 100% sold out to Jesus will see God. Not those who are half-hearted. No compromise will go without hinderance. Your vessel is to carry that which is pure, holy, spotless – compromise taints and perverts holiness. #4 The Key is not submission to Him in action only, but from a genuine love for God. Purity of heart is sold out devotion to Him. o Ps. 18:26 With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. #5 The natural man wants to satisfy self (David took another man’s wife) o Ps. 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. o Left to ourselves we go to sin. From iniquity we came. Don’t believe the lie that says we are not borne in sin. o Ps. 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me. #6 When we sin in any capacity, we contaminate the vessel that was designed to carry His glory. o Ps. 51:7 Cleans me with Hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me and I will be whiter than snow. o The blood of Jesus cleanses us, the water of the word washes us! o As Moses presented Aaron and his sons and washed them with water in Leviticus 8:6, Jesus washes us with His Word! o Eph. 5:25- 27 Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.… #7 Our Vessels Must Be Purified to carry the weight of Glory we were designed to carry!
