Refuge Failed Me
just maybe a few places we might try to read this morning when we start reading no one's songs in the hundred and forty-second song, we say that we desire any prayers this morning and pray to each one, hear what the Lord's got for us to say. I already said it to old note who'd be here, CD. He note each one of us and be here this morning. As he's been a burden in our heart with these scriptures this week, he knew who would be here this morning. As I opened my eyes this morning and as you did, he knew who was going to be here this morning. And our prayer is that we would each one listen to what God's sin in our way today. I'm including me just as much as anybody. Very, very heavy fear on me today. It's always a fear when you stand with the Word of God, but these times in your life when you feel like that this may be an opportunity that the Lord's sinned and that they better be taking at that point, at that time. And this morning we've got that fear upon us. I couldn't run for me this morning as much as I wanted to. I couldn't make a decision. My stomach's been in my ass ever since I got up this morning. I wanted to leave while ago when my stomach got tore up on me back on it. I wanted to just say, I don't feel good and I've got to leave, but I couldn't. Because these messes God sent this way this morning. And we better heed it and we better listen to it. We better not pace it off. It's just another message. We better not be worrying so much about its homecoming. We've gotten food set in the building. We better listen to what God sent away today. We better do what God tells us to do with it. But in this, I want to read this 142nd chapter of the book of Psalms and then we may turn over into the book of Isaiah here just in a minute. But he says in this he said, "I cried unto the Lord with my voice. With my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him. I showed before him my trouble when my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand and beheld and there was no man that would know me. Refuge failed me. No man cared for my soul. I cried unto the Lord and I cried unto the Lord. I said thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living that tend unto my cry for I am brought very low. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison that I may praise thy name. The righteous shall compass me about, for thou shalt deal bountifully with me." I want that seventh verse of that to ring pretty heavily in our hearts today where he says, "To bring my soul out of prison that I may praise thy name." It says there, "The righteous shall compass me about, for thou shalt deal bountifully with me." I want you to thank this morning a little bit about bringing your soul out of prison today. I want to turn maybe over into the book of Isaiah. I know this is probably very familiar in the 28th chapter of the book of Isaiah here and I want us to thank his David was writing that in that hundred forty second time. Think about that a little bit. He was searching for refuge and he couldn't find it. How did he was a look and see thee for some worse to hide and he couldn't find it. They come a place there in his life. When he could look around and they just wasn't he playing there, then he could find comfort in more. Then he could find a high place in and he went to pray in unto the Lord in that direction to deliver his soul. He said, "Bring my soul out of prison." I'm afraid today that there's a whole lot of us that are sitting around. We may be sitting right in the house of God and we are today and I believe our souls are still in prison. I believe maybe that we've sat around and we've filled our head full of some thoughts that everything's alright, that we're doing just fine, we're good right where we're at. If we don't need to do another thing, we're just going to be okay. Bobby and everything's going to be alright. In the whole time, knowing and realizing that our soul is still found down in the prison and it's not in a place of great view. I thought about something here a little bit as my wife would tell her testimony sometimes about when she got saved. That was for years that she set in the church. She said in her lost. From a very young age, somebody told her to get saved from a very young age. Somebody baptized her into the church, called her a manger and made her feel alright about herself. But she got sent under some bricks. That was a little bit different than what she'd been sent under but weren't but there. She got sent under some men and God. She wasn't afraid to tell the truth. She got sent under some men and they went to exposing what was really going on with her life. She told me and she said, "But why have them sometimes when I sit there?" She said, "I don't think I'm feeling them." "What everybody else is feeling them?" She said, "They seem happy. They seem like they're enjoying it." She said to me, she said, "Hey." She said, "It makes me feel different than everybody else." I'm afraid today. It's a lot of ever since. The lady did a set in the house of God. It's a colony. It's a spirit of God. It's a colony that we were in the will of God. It was feeling something different. It everybody else around the set. It ain't freedom. It ain't slavery. But I so am still in prison. The person is next to us. I'll tell you about easy luck in this world. We're going to tell them what we want to hear. We're going to believe what they want to tell them. We're going to believe what our minds are telling us. You know what that starts making us want to do? It makes us want to deny what the preacher's preaching is. It makes us want to deny what that folks are saying. It makes us want to deny what we're truly feeling that on the inside. We sat there. If I had to sit on this view and convince myself that I'm all right, play something wrong. When the spirit comes by, it'll let me know who's I am. It'll let me know if I'm safer and if I'm lost. I won't let the sat there no time to re-enact something that happened 30 years ago, 10 years ago, 15 years ago. Hey, when no change ever was played in my life, I won't let go time to convince myself that I got something up. Hey, help I go down in my soul. What I got today? I know where my record is. For we have made lies our refuge. And under falsehood have we hid ourselves. So what was happening to them everyone? Do you know what this is doing? When the word of God was getting praise. They had to bring. They had to have the make of that and the table. And the bricks and it scared them. The bricks and it bothered them. We've got to have it mate. We've got to greet them mate. And we found refuge in it. And I'm going to tell you about this overwhelmed scourge that we know by. You want to scour and hear that bush. That's this one. You want the word of God to come through the day. Things like change will make them to you when you've got out of mind. And correction. Yeah. Correction. Every time you correct these boys. The big thing those people want to hurt them. Every time those people correct your child you don't want to hurt them. But no it's to let them know what the precepts are. What's the law of the law? What's the law of the law? If you crowd these things they make a consequence to they face. When the Lord comes through and preaches his word. In the spirit and in the difference between heaven they hurt us. They make a stop and hurt us out. It's alright. But if you know what it's to do. It hurts to go. You want to know why it's going to go down the way. You stepped out somewhere before it sent them in. It's me. Think I've learned to come through. It's my storm of hope. It can't get your foot back in the path where I hope you've drawn. It's not the hurt you need to hear. You can't walk no more. It's just correct to get you in line. Discards don't come by to destroy it. It comes by the liver. It comes by the hell. It comes by to get you out of prison. It comes by to set the captive free. It was sent back. We were working here to stay in our prison. We were working here to stay in prison. It's just that it comes. We're going to have to worry about here to bridge it a little more. It's just that it comes. We don't have to worry about seeing them on self-righteous Christians. It's just that it comes. When you won't have to set them up, it's talking a little bit to Christians down there a little bit more. You just keep making lives of your refuge. And you come and it was death. And you come and it was hell. And you keep staying right where you're at. And they'll come a day when you won't have to worry about it no more. The big thing you won't have to worry about is the maternal poor man in hell. It ain't been a small illness. I'm just never the truth. That's not the thing they mean today. Oh, that's not the thing. That's not the thing I hope you go to hell. Well, I had to care about limits this moment. I had to care and I wasn't ever covered. The floor had to care. You wasn't ever sick. You know what is tired? The people driving by the risk used in life. These tired of people think they've got something brilliant. But then, with some common with hell and deep status. I told you, I heard people just run out of this life. And one boy had a grin on their head. He had a grin on his chest. And Michelle said, "I was the son. I'll see you in hell and we'll have a beer together." First, a quick one really believes that, John. I'm talking that really believes it, don't I? Why, they told theirself, "I stood right there and talked to some boys one day that was drug dealers." "Let me ride the ice." That's because Martin said, "Yeah, I'm going to hell. This is bold and proud he could." And he truly believed it. He scared about the hell. He scared about the hell. Let me tell you what, you don't make me scared of the devil. You better be scared of God. It ain't the devil running that place. No. It ain't the best that's got food. It's God. You just keep a burn. Keep a pray in church. Over in Proverbs in the 14th chapter, he said in the 25th verse, he said, "A true witness, delivereth souls, but a deceitful witness, speaketh lies." In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence, and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life to depart from the snares of death. How about strong confidence this morning? How about you? All right, I've got a strong confidence this morning. I ain't hoping what I've got to believe in me. I know it hurts. I ain't waiting for it to deliver me. I know it hurts. I have a strong confidence in my life. Right there. The children shall have a place of refuge. Hey, listen, he said in that 25th, "A true witness, delivereth souls." I'm delivering, but a deceitful witness, speaketh lies. Your lie has to do with it. It has to keep speaketh. A lie has to keep talk, you know it. There's been a lot of liars. It was just what they call a habitual liar. They don't shut up. They're constantly telling you, "Here's what's going on, that's what's going on, how the private convinced theirself just as much as their family could mean to you." Now, if you know what you can see on the liars place, this lady's got a bit more confidence and what they don't have on her mouth than anybody else. But he convinced me. If somebody knows the truth, it's got strong confidence. I'm standing on authority and tell you what I got this morning. How about you? I'm saying to all confidence this morning where I'm not to tell you. If I die and I drop right in front of the judge, know where I'm going. Strong confidence. I don't have to sit back in my seat. I keep having to roll over. They tell myself, "I'm all right, I'm all right, I'm all right, I'm all right, I'm all right." I'm all right. I keep trying to convince myself that the reason that the priest and he goes on bothers me is 'cause it's our own party preacher. If it hurts that matter, it's all so and so, it's all set on the upside of that matter. You know what the Lord says, Trevor? When he opens up his book, he opens a big mirror right here. And he says, "Look into this." You know what you say? You. You know what I say, Lisa? Me. What do you see in that book? I don't want to lie, I'm pretty skeptical, I'm pretty sad. You're a little better, little. You know what to tell the God when the books get opened? You know what it does, Joe? It brings confidence. Assurance. That much more. The child is waiting for his mother. His mother knows who his mother is, don't it? The child is drawn from the breast. knows who his mother is. I'm from insane. I know who my God is. I know who my church is. I know who my people are. I know who my brethren and my sisters are. You know what so much people will ask? They don't want to lose whom when they're sick, they're mixed, they're mixed. What Lord of those who sent his scourge for him? What he does and he overcomes, that's the legend that's in our eyes. Listen here in this. The fear of the Lord is the fountain of life, to depart from the snores of death. In the multitude of people is the king's honor. But in the want of the people is the destruction of the prince. He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he that is hasty of spirit exalt of folly. A sound heart is the life of the flesh. But envy is rotten, he said the bones. He that oppressive the poor reproaches his maker. But he that honored him has mercy on the poor. Listen, the wicked is driven away in his wickedness, but the righteous has hope in his death. You're hoping you're there. I'll tell you what, you go strong hop and if you do, I'm going to tell you what. If you're in the refuge that I'm in, you do. I've got hope in my day. I plan for life, come in one minute. Through this, if you search your heart and you're so disciplined, then the hell will you be scared to die? Well, for every class is scared to die. I'm scared of timing. I'm scared of hurting, but I ain't scared of timing. I've got a talk when you did that day. I know where I'm going, Dreamy. I know that my eyes close in there. That I'll be the first to go. I thought that this morning was that I thought the real past. Just how sure I was in my God. Just how confident I am in your self-less life. I'm scared to die. Let's hope in my day. This one that I'm going to lay this thing on. My troubles and tears are over. Don't call the kind of this must be. It's joy. It's pleased. It's happiness. It gets together. It seems that the end seems to be a long time. It's getting a rejoice. You know what's there? I ain't going to be in hell. Oh, my God. I ain't going to be a rejoice. But when things are about going home, they forget. They just relax. They just come back to the house. I come to be living on the trip for a week. They wouldn't mess them like going back and sitting down into that trip. They broke the climate that I've got at the house. If they once down on them. He said, for we have made lives our refuge and under fault to them. Have we hid ourselves? I will go back for just a second. Remember Adam and Eve in the garden? What did they do when they realized? What they did, they did right there in the presence of God. They did right there and heard the law of God. We ain't changed. We ain't changed. We should have saved old price in those dollars. They don't cram a prize. They don't grunt me unless they find me that we've got to figure half from slaughter to the gods. What did they do? What we've seen? What do you want? Let's bear peace burns. You can't cover up with no more because the bed is too short. The cover's too dark. Unless you want to pull the tent, if you cover up and touch it too small, I have one. You've got to be there for a sheltering war when you fix hope. If you wait on something that was too small for you to be on, and you hangin' on to one side, you can't find your rest, you can't find no peace, you're fighting. Oh, I love 'em to try to find one place in that little old thing that you can have for the unrest or account. Don't you take what you can't have? But he says therefore there will remain a better order of rest for the people of God. Where can you find rest in this life, Richard? It's harsh, it's terrible, it's never funny, there is. I've got strong confidence. I've got hope in this. My rest, thank you. My hope, thank you. My joy, thank you. I've got a big old way to open it. And I've got a big one to open it. I've got peace. This place is all over standard. The same way the waters died, it is an aircraft. Same way. The hope wasn't here. Hope wasn't what they seemed. Their hope was locked, they were gettin' ready to receive them. The joy that was ahead of them. (clears throat) The world is bringing peace to this whole world. The world doubled. Turn it away. We will not hear. What he said in that 12th verse, he said, "Yet they would not hear." What was he offering to him to whom he said, "This is the rest wherein ye may cause the weary to rest, and this is the refreshing." The Word of God comes by and says, "This is your rest. This is your refreshing. This is your hope. This is your confidence." Think of what? Think of what? Think of what? Think of what he said. Turn it away. Walk away. Think of it. Think of it. Think of it. Think of it. You said that in a running, I have an extra umbrella. It's been pretty interesting. You're living in a place that God's done and led this over when the skirts go across. It's already washed away your lives. It's already exposed. Then where are your acts? It's not a refuge. He says, "You can have this right here." You can have confidence. You can have peace. You can have joy. You can be refreshed. Why would you die? Why would you turn this away? Why don't you come to sleep with us? We're here about what we're getting ready to go in. We're headed ahead. He followed that in a heart attack for you. That fellaship building. The car run through that fence and run you over dead in a hammer. As far as that goes, you could choke on a piece of lint and die. That's how easy it is and how proud it is that I like it. We build our refuge in lives, our agreements are so pale and damp. We think we're okay. We're going to take the space. We're going to burn the knowledge. We're going to take the privilege into the space. We're going to take the load of the trumpet. You know what he knows? He knows where he will lead in the next five minutes. He knows where he will lead in the next five minutes. We're going to bring more money. We're going to bring the next chapter, the 29th chapter, and the 8th verse. And it shall even be as when a hungry man dreamed. And behold, he eateth, but he awakeeth and his soul is empty. Or when a thirsty man dreameth and behold, he drinketh. And he awakeeth and behold, he is faint and his soul half appetite. So shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion. You can dream all you want to. You don't mean you have to. You give yourself whatever you want to do. I mean, drunk people's dove off of high things and thought they could fly. How many people that's intoxicated with this stuff had done crazy things and thought they were capable? When it could have been sales, they realized they weren't. It was just a delusion. That's what our people say today. Thank you. They're going to escape hell. Some other way. You know, themselves are not right. Whoa, whoa. Under that crown of pride. Drunk men see things that ain't really there. A drunk man believes things. You're ready to eat your wife, that's where you're going to put your agreement on your cousin and friend.
