With me is Kev, we're going to talk about salad, lentil, tuck, return into the accident, and they've made the European champ Euro 2020 for a final, beat in the Holland with a leg goal from Wattersface, Watkins. And then we're going to talk about slot selling in. And we're going to a couple of transfer routines as well, and it seems to be the transfer window of the centre backs, which we'll talk about in a little while. Kev, how are you? - Good, good, I don't know. What's the last two games last night, Spain are so good, aren't they? - Well, I didn't see it. - Well, you were there, you were all over there. What's the buzz like over there? - I was over there when Spain played Germany. I was in New York for Spain playing Germany, and the Spanish were just so relaxed over this side. Like, they're just like, yeah, they're so relaxed. They weren't part of the body of Germany. I got to talk to a couple of Spanish people that's over there, and they were like, not part of the body of Germany. Like, we just were convinced this team will win the whole tournament. They're the loyal, we held solid, we had a look at the back. They seemed to control me, and then when you go to the 16-year-old fella, you have Williams, you've a lock on for our Danny Ramos come to the fore. In the last couple of games, they just see him so relaxed over where they're heading. Not only for this tournament, but in the future, they're really, really... They just feel like the Spain team is pouring, but can actually get better, so. Tonight was a bit of a war of attrition, wasn't it? I didn't see the Spain France game because we've got the leg coming home. So, it was in the air for the whole game, you know? So, I didn't see any of that, but tonight's game, I actually fancied England before, I did fancied England before, I think as much as England have kind of dogged our way to this final, not being good, I think Holland are being more or less the same. You know, not really having brilliant performances. The best performance was probably the first game, isn't it? Who did he beat in the first game? They went to in the first game, they missed a load of chances. But that was probably the best performance I had around, but I just felt, you know, that England had a bit more going forward. They could change the game a bit more, and they told me what they did. And overall, I think even deserved it. You know, I think they showed more ambition. I think Holland scored, and then you're kind of gone, really. You know, it's a bit of a soft penalty, let's be honest. But England, overall, I didn't control the game. They controlled my fear, they looked more threatened. And the only time Holland looked threatened was when they decided that they weren't in the middle, and they come out and try to play some football in the opening of the ones that were useful. Overall, I think, I think England, yeah, they deserved that win tonight. I think it's probably one of the worst-soids performance-wise, I've seen get to a final. It's up there, it's up there. Yeah, but overall tonight, they deserved it. You can't say anymore, they did deserve it overall. For me, for me, they deserved it. Yeah, 100%. I mean, I was just thinking before we come on, you go back to the Greece side in 2004 and dog their way to win it. The Danish side in '92 came from absolutely nowhere and won it. And to be fair, in 2021, that Italy side, were no great shakes when they won it. Yeah. You know, so this is what the one tournament where on their day, on a day, anyone can beat anyone because for all of England's problems that they have in it, they have get match winners in that squad. So Spain have, the form they have been the most attractive. Spain have been the one country that have played in this tournament so far that I've looked at that resemble what an attacking club side would look like, the way they press, the way they're comfortable on the ball, the way they make runs after ball, everything about the way Spain player really enjoy watching them. But at the same time, England have players that can go on with it as well. So, I mean, we've got players coming home as well, going on holiday now, every last night, the Dutch lads today. Yeah. So we've seen a few come back today. So, you know, they're probably going to guess. Arguably, they probably won't join up with Liverpool until maybe in the US. Yeah, I would, I would have thought, like, if you look at, so there's not much difference between, you know, Van Dyke and Gackburg going out tonight, as say Trent and Joe Gomez being, you know, Sunday. You're probably looking at Sunday is what the, is it the 15? Is there something like that? Well, today's the 10th. So 14, yeah. Yeah. You're probably looking at them not coming back until around the 4th of August. Yeah, it'll be over in the States by then. Yeah, we will be over in the States by then, yeah. You will, yeah. And to be fair, they're going to need it because the next season is a really long season. Yeah, but when you look at it, Gackburg's played an awful lot. Virgil has, Trent hasn't really. Gomez has been not in the... Gravenberg hasn't. The Gravenberg's got to be there. No, no, no. I don't think he's even come off the bench. Yeah. So, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's one of those where you'll probably see them. They'll, they'll, they'll arrive in America when they will be playing. I think they'll be playing, this is the 27th. 27th is the first game. There's three games over there. The 24th or something like that. Yeah, I don't think they're over there for long. I think they're over there for the bones of a week. Yeah, 27th. The 24th and the Tour de Fort of August, I think. And then that back. Or Bank Holiday. Or Bank Holiday is the 5th of August. Yeah. And then that back. So Bank Holiday is a severe. Severe on the Sunday, I think. The 11th or something like that, isn't it? The dates now. The dates now, it could be wrong on those dates. But I know, I know it's not a hell of a lot of games you haven't in previous years ago. But look, yeah, Virgil and Cody and Gravenberg now, you know, they'll, they'll, they'll, they'll get the Toymoth, Trent and Gomez get their Toymoth. And we'll see where, where, where it goes from there. But England have made the final, they play Spain, my, my team with looking at it, it's very easy to go. Yes, Spain will win that. The reason I think they will is Spain will keep the ball for fun. They'll keep the ball for fun and they'll walk and walk and walk and tell it just, you know, till, till teams give up. But, and I think England, England have defended quite well from crosses and different things. But when teams have actually played around them at times, I think England have looked a bit susceptible. And that's where Spain looked, they looked, they'll definitely look to get between these wing backs and, and send them back into those pockets and, and do some damage. Danny Ormoth, Danny Ormoth. He's just coming out of nowhere, Danny Ormoth in the last couple of games. And he comes on for, was it, was it? He comes off for Pedry. Yeah, he came off for Pedry. Pedry's, I don't know if Pedry's tournament is over, I think it probably could be. But yeah, even if they decide to play, if Pedry can make the final and they decide to play Ormoth. Christ Almighty Danny Ormoth looks the most similar player to Bobby Firmino that I've seen out there that could play that role. He was so impressive against Germany, Danny Ormoth, the way he just fell in pockets of space, moved the ball around, and he's just an option all the time. And he seemed to be the, he just came on and just linked everything brilliantly for himself. It was, it was, yeah, he was being really good, Danny Ormoth. He's been linked with Man City as well, he's seen. Yeah, there's just, what you've been away us was for the week, if you've zoned out a football, the rumor mill is doing the business like you wouldn't believe. Yeah. But actual deals getting all over the line since the Villa Chelsea, all those clubs had their america. Yeah, not a lot has happened. I think the biggest deal to go through so far that I was looking at was David Lewis, go to your fitness, which has been a wild bat name. And, I'll say, go on to Bayern Munich. Yeah, I think that's a good deal. I think that's a really good deal because I think he goes to Bayern and I think he plays, whereas if we were looking at him at all, and he'd come to Liverpool, he doesn't start automatically, because Salah would be in front of it, where if he goes to a Bayern Munich, 50 something million pounds, 60 million, yeah. 60 million Euro, yeah, 50, 52, 53, yeah, I'm just looking at it here. 58 million Euro went for about 50 million pounds, but at his age with his injury record, there's a bit of a gamble in it, but the upsides are huge. The upsides are absolutely quite low. But apart from that, you look at it, David Rayer went through, you know, what we knew that was happening. Bobby Reed has gone from Fulham to Leicester on a free. Adria and Gantabetis. Interesting one, actually, Brentford Keeper, Thomas Strachoyza, used to be at Latio, he's gone to AEK Athens, so I don't know where that leaves Brentford now with their goalkeeping situation. So, they've got money in their pocket to burn, and potentially could have more money in their pocket down the line if bids come in for Ivan Thorna. And another one, I wonder, Liverpool all boys, Philip Coutinho has joined Vasco de Gama, I know. Kev across, David Lewis, what he meant was Douglas Lewis, Douglas Lewis. They've got great hair, what can you do? Yeah, exactly. Let me see, Jerry says well linked with Jeremy Frimpong as a really winger, totally farming and Boyo Explorers Friday week, not for me, not for me. You know, my thing about him, my thing about him is, if you're playing, I'm really winging, I like to be able to score goals. And to me, he never looks comfortable in front of the goal, he never looks comfortable running at people and doing all that, but just not for me. I think you've got four teams, betting goals last season. Yeah, Kevin Torram gone to the event as well, so, Kevin Ball, yeah, correct, actually says a bet is under 26th, Arizona 24th, you know, you're under Torre, severe on the 11th. Kevin Ball says you're not a winger, is he? No, he's not. He's a really winging back for me. He's a road wing back in the street, 100%, but he did stare at it against France in the auros for Holland, didn't he? As a winger, yeah, and a couple of minutes into the game, he's pulling in and a winger that looks to score goals, gets in and gets a chance. And there's four or two touches on that, brings him away from goal and I went, nah, not for me. He's just not for me, he's just not for me. If you're playing the back three, if you're playing the three, four, three, and he's your right-made who drop, like, kind of like what's saccid in for England, is, you know, he'll attack the box when he's got space to run into it, but his primary job is to come back and make it a back fight when you're defending. He's perfect for that, but we're never ever going to play that. Yeah. Jones is a great guy, but like the player, but Killas is the only winger for me, yeah, I think Killas is the only winger for me as well. It's very, it's very quiet on him too. Yeah, it is very quiet on him, it's very quiet on a lot. I think there's a lapi and bone, you know, we go on to the centre, back up in a minute, because it's really interesting with regards to who's looking at here or supposedly. Supposedly he was looking at here, but we go on to it a bit, but Aaronislaw is settling in at the, at the axis, and he's, he's had a lot of the young guys in there for the last week or so now, and, you know, they've all been in and players are starting to slowly come back today. It was the tone of Salah and Endo to roll it back in. Salah looks an absolute specimen to be fair. Look, you know, the people go, I look, you know, he's getting old and you're looking like, oh, we just stopped. But some great photos there today of Salah in the canteen and all this sort of stuff. You know, it seems to be, you know, like very open, very kind of easy going, having a life, different things like that. Because you did watch frosting, things like that. Do you think the haircut's taken a couple of years off him? Yeah, he looks a bit. I think he does it though. Yeah, he looks a little young as well, I think. I think Brandon Chase is the final in the late game as your mile had to be served at 10.59 and he's only 16 and against the lawn, Jeremy, to walk after 11pm. Yeah, from what I understand on that, athletes under the age of 16, athletes at the age of 16 are not a level performed after 11pm in Germany. But if he does go on, if he does go on to play or whatever, I think I think the Spanish gets some sort of foil. And I don't think he'd be asked. I think he turned 17 today before the climb. Yeah, well, seven million would be different. Yeah, yeah, he's an outflip, that's a great hair, like Douglas and Douglas and David Lewis. But the lads are back to come back and one thing I have now is co-curve is very intense early doors. You know, like you see, you couldn't think of how to break them in and the thing. But a lot of intense walk on them early doors. And maybe that's always happened on the club. But it seems to be like really straight into it, not messing about with it. And obviously the fitness and the ability to go longer and go longer is going to be a big thing. Because players are back and literally he has them running, chasing, fighting, punching each other, all sorts of stuff. It's been nice to watch so, hasn't it? The bits I've seen of it, apparently he's got rid of that endurance test that they used to do. He's got him coming back. We've all seen it now where they do that six minute run at a height pace to maintain that pace and see how they go with that. And the first one I saw, I think, was Costas. It was a Costas Curtis Jones. And no, it wasn't. Except Vanneberg, Connor Bradley. And the three of them collapsed at the end of it. But I've seen a few of the others as well. The ball work early doors. It still throws me because you still have the mentality from you hear about pre-season back in the day. And it was like, right, you've got to be running through sand. It's going to be endurance training in the system. Yeah, as I'm working with the ball straight away and they all have it. It's mini games. It's movement. It's touch. There was one clip there where he was talking about taking a pass on the right foot and opening your body out to lay it off. I think he's very much a details man. I think he's very much, that's what's coming across to me. He's all about the minute details. Because they're all brilliant. They're all brilliant footballers. They wouldn't be a lyrical if they weren't brilliant footballers. But it's little details. And I think that's what's coming across from me anyway. Yeah. It's interesting, you know, when you see, when you're watching pre-season, and again, you think, right, do you want to get fit and do you want to be, you know, a ball walk, you know, should I be walking with a ball in my opinion? It's a game of football, you know what I mean? You should always be, you know, walking with a football ball. I was laughing a little bit out of the end. You were playing these small, solid games. And the amount of slow tackles going in, big tackles going in, and it was like, is it just, is that, so in the lads, you know, wanting to impress and wanting to do this and wanting to do that? Because there was a few tackles flowing in, like, slowed in tackles. It was, again, for a couple of days into a pre-season, they looked fucking, it was a bit heavy for me, like, I was like, "Oh, the lads lads, these are only three days in here." Yeah. It's all grand until someone gets a right clatter, and we see it. We had started hearing horror stories about ankles and shins of Mahavir. So-and-so is out for six weeks after a training ground incident, Mahavir. No, I don't think, I mean, a lot of the tackles, they might look meaty, but I don't think there's anything malicious in any of it. But it shows the intensity, the intensity is good. And, I mean, go back to the press conference, when he was talking about the tactics and the way he wants to play and the fluidity that he wants to bring in to us in the attack, then those small games, those little one touch, you know, pass a move stuff game, you know, that'll be drilled right into him and they'll be, they're already going to be comfortable. This isn't not new to- No, it's not new to me at all. It's just, no, it's just muscle memory. And I think that's a lot of the reason why I think we've been so quiet with ins and outs so far, is because one, he needs bodies, he needs people around us, what? You know, he needs people around to be able to do this stuff with the players who are going to be coming back. The other side, he physically doesn't know any of these people. You know, this is all brand new for us as fans as well. It's been a long time since we've had a manager come in and this is his first preseason working with the squad. It's been nine years. You know, so this is all new to everyone, new coaches, new manager, young players, it's an awful lot to take in. So, that's like part of me is looking at thinking, if there's going to be massive, if there's going to be changes in and out with us, I think it might be late. You know, it's... Well, you just hadn't felt like that, no. Well, do you have like the basically comment on said, if you won't be doing any business in July, end of the story? You know, and maybe, you know, you can read whatever way you want the internet. You know, like, I've seen, like, you know, the reaction of people that are the smallest to eat hair is fucking mental. You know what I mean? Like, oh, what you mean by not doing business in July? Looker is far behind again, not selling people. And like, the way I read that was, well, if we're not doing any business in July, the euros, the cup of America, is that affecting that? Maybe. Does he genuinely want to give a squad a good look over? Maybe. But, like, let's be honest about it. If he's going in there, like, I've seen from a party, Seth Van de Begg is massively impressed and a slot since pre-season began. Seth Van de Begg is on laps of pitches and a few bar walk and, you know, and six-minute runs. Like, who the fuck is believing this stuff? Like, and I'm not saying Seth Van de Begg isn't a good player. But it's like, looks like, it looks like the whole world look for a cent. The fact that Seth Van de Begg is really impressed and Van de Begg is like, oh, for fuck's sake. Like, come on. You know what I mean? Like, at the end of the day, like, I would be amazed around a slot-owned drone and says, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to make it, Seth Van de Begg me for a cent a half this summer. Look, he's not. A milestone moment creates a beautiful memory for years to come. And now is the time to celebrate it, with 35% off select pieces at Blue Nile. But when you get people going, you know, "I'm set by the bags really impressed them." That means when I saw in the center backing, I'm like, "Forkin have." Right? But the way I look at it is, like, if Richard Ewes and a slot are in constant contact daily, they both set it on numerous occasions, you know, they have hooked the targets. They have who they want. And it's either a case of, "Yeah, let's look at this. We might like Player A, B and C, but let's look into it." And we may just take Player A and B, we might go for C. Or we may actually need a Player A, B, C and D. But they're not going to be rushed into it. They're not going. And as well as that, if they came out and said, "We're looking to do business." All of a sudden, like, apparently they've got a far million pound beard from somebody for, um, not Philips. And... Yeah, that's not a response. Yeah, that's not a response. Yeah. That's not a response. And it's like, "No. Live up a little. No. Three years after this deal. We want eight million quid." And people are like, "I'll just take the four." And they're like, "Seriously, if we just take the four, right?" And then we can't... Look, it turns out we don't want to sign. We don't want to pay 54 for the player. And they want 60. And we turn it on and go, "No, we're not paying the 60." And all of a sudden now, you know, just take the four here and just pay the 60 there. Look, it's a bit mildly... They're not going to come out and say, "Seth Van der Pergh. Not Philips." "Bubububum. They're all for sale." They're not going to do that. They're not going to do that. Part of the whole thing of, you know, we're not going to do business in July. It's basically saying, "We're under no pressure. I'm under no rush for these players that other teams fancy." Right? And that fringe player's for us. But we're under no rush here. So we will get our best prices. And if you've learned nothing from the likes of Michael Edwards and even Richard Hughes in his past job, I promise, they like to get good deals. They like to get good deals. And they want under no pressure. I'm part of it, Dennis. Aaron Aslott wanted to look at the squad. You know what I mean? Wanted to look at the squad. I think that's a fair part of it. The one thing I'd say about Seth Van der Pergh is, Van der Pergh is, he's done every single thing that the club has asked him to do. Go out and long. Try to improve. Go to Germany. Play games. Try and improve. He's done statistically. He's had a really good season. He's done everything you can ask of him. Him and Aaron Aslott are from the same time. They've met each other apparently a week before Aslott arrived to Liverpool. I remember over hearing it in one of the videos. I'm convinced that if you were looking at signing Seth Van der Pergh from months, on the back of the season that he's had to come in and supplement the squad, people wouldn't have seen him. They've looked at the stats that he's given out, compared him to the other centre backs of his age group in the Bundesliga. Okay, that's a decent bit of business. Take 15-20 million. It's a bit of a gamble. It could be a long run. It could be worthwhile. But because we've had him for so long, and because of the circumstances of how we bought him, and the amount of loans that he's had, it's cannon fodder now. Yeah, I just think that Slott rightly will look at this month and think, okay, this is what we have. Let's see what you've got. And then go from there, because if he doesn't do that, what does that say to everyone else? Yeah. He's prejudged this before he's walked in the door. He's banging out. This guy, this guy, this guy on loan and selling this after he's been working with us for a week. But the thing is, the shit's through the whole club. I know that, but the thing is, Kev, right? This is a player that reportedly done an interview at the end, the back end of last season, right? Or just after the season, the end of the same. I want to move, Liverpool are poisoning me over, move, bump, bump, bump, bump. And then he's at the exit, turning up, and a lot of a sudden it's reported. I'm from the same town, he met each other. No, I just look at it. I'm just looking at it and thinking, look at that interview. I want to go and play. Yeah, and that's absolutely fine. I've got to go and play it. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe what happens here is, is that, and just in, in, except on the various cases, they look at them and they say, what do we need? And in my opinion, we need a centre-half that is going to start games for Liverpool. Right? Yeah. I know he don't think except on the barriers, that player. No. And I don't either. But at the same time-- But the thing is, at the same time, you have to give him a chance to show what he has. Yeah. So, and, and touring that all around then, the club has to tour around and go, we're not doing any business. We're, we're fine. And we're going to assess everything. So that's basically, that's basically telling you, that if Mines want that player and we want 15 million and Mines don't want to give him more than 10, well, we're saying to Mines fine, don't give us this 15. We're going to keep him here. We're going to assess him. And then all the clubs come along and go, fuck, if he's assessed and he really like him, if the class was 20, let's give him the 15. It's all a game. And I'm not saying that playing games with players just for the crack. They're not. But it, and it's lucky. It's a lot more respect from the looks of Seth Van de Berg and, and others where he says, I'm bringing them in. I'm going to let them have preseason and I'll make it, I'll make it call on them. But at the same time, we can go around saying, we're looking to sell this, this, and this. Because if you value Phillips at eight and you take four and you value this for that 15 and you take eight, right? All of a sudden now, it doesn't sound like an awful lot. Which are 11 million down on what you value them. And you're also revealing yourself as a soft touch. Yeah. And then I might be not a player out there that you want 10. And you get four of it. And next, well, you have 15 million down, right? And they have 15 million down. And it doesn't sound like an awful lot. But 15 million could be the difference between you then, going and signing a player where you're willing to pay 80. But they want 90. And you go, can't do it. We've lost fucking too much money at this point. And that's how we're ran. That's simply how we're ran. Like, we don't just go out and go bum, bum, bum. So, whenever you want to pay, wherever you're like, we just don't do it. But it's being good to see them all back. It's being good to see the intensity. Players coming back now and you'll see more of them back in. There's a few other coppers. There's a few still at the Euros. Some have gone out tonight. But it's, it's, it's, yeah, I've enjoyed watching. I've enjoyed watching the coverage. This window though seems to be out of the center backs. Right? Everywhere, isn't it? Yeah. So, if you look at, like, the force on the pop-up area in the summer, was Leni Oro. Yeah. Then you're seeing as the Euro's going the way you had Califiori, who's with Belonio, I think, isn't he? Belonio, yeah. Yeah. The Italian center back. You've seen, and it's kind of all, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, man, you know, at a starting point. And then it's all reaching its tentacles in all different directions. Because, you know, I've seen, look, I've seen people going, you know, Califiori, you should be all over. You're going to go on, you're watching them for fucking three games. That's seriously, you know, relax. I thought he was okay. Yeah. I think he's good. I think he's good center back. I do think he's good center back. The fact he's Italian. That made him settle in. Yeah. He gives you that. And there was part of his game where I thought, pace and peril, we hold him a little bit. But that's where we are. But then you had Lenny Orley, you had Califiori, and then you have Matois de Litt, who's been heavily linked with Manchester City. People have tried to link him to water clubs, including Liverpool. Simply, nah, like, Liverpool haven't been in front of Matois de Litt. And then you have, you have Jarbray with Brentway. And Everton, of course Manchester's, you know, they're being linked there as well. And it's just like, it's like the center halved, he seems to be massive this song. Like, my opinion, I think, you know, they've had a, a fee of grade. Two bits. Yeah. Two bits for Brent, they turned down. Yeah. Two bits for him, turned down. I think the last one might be a forty, forty plus four. They've had a big grade of 50 million for Lenny Euro. And apparently, they've, they've had, I think it was a twenty-five million from Matois de Litt. Now, if they went and signed all them, they're spending a hundred and twenty million on centre backs. Yeah. That was good. Also, not a hole. No, but I think the world of field, the other. I think the linear one is, look, we have to be seen to be in for this guy. We know he's going to Madrid. Everyone knows he's going to Madrid. If it's this summer or next summer, that'll depend on what Madrid wants to do. But the player, if the, if the player comes out and makes it known that I want to go to Real Madrid, why are you still chasing after it? It's, you know, unless you're trying to appease your fans, which wouldn't surprise me. He's with Lille, isn't he? Yeah, he's at Lille. Yeah, he's at Lille. Yeah. It makes sense in a lot of ways, because Manchester United at the minute have Sandra Martinez, Harry Maguire, they won't get brand-weight through the door, because they won't stop until they get him. That just looks like... Well, they've started a very low base for me, at forty-four. Oh, yeah. But that to me looks like the Harry Maguire at Leicester. It's a rinse and repeat of that deal. They'll, everything will rightly just hold in their nerves. They'll look. It's hash United. But apparently everything I spend on some money as well. So people think that, no, we don't know what they spend, but apparently people are saying, "No, we're not starting to spend a little money. Maybe they're spending the brand-weight money before they accept the deal." So they don't get robbed and stuff like that. But like, you know, the lit, I told you for a million, and you're probably looking at two-fifty plus a week. Yeah. Like, everything shouldn't be selling brand-weight for any of the rest of the 70-minute quiz. No. I don't care what anyone says. No, I think he's really, really good. Look, we said it. I remember one of the shows we were on at the beginning of last season when we first really started the eight daughters of him. And he stood out like a sore thumb. A bad Everton side. He looked really, really good. And he just kicked on right the way through the season. So at his perfect age, English, they'll be mad not to be all over him. Absolutely mad not to be all over him. And if you're to believe what's being said out there, that they're willing to listen. They're willing to listen to offers for Bruno Fernandez from Saudi as well. Yeah. Because Paul says, you know you'd have posted 74 million pounds and losses. PSR is coming for them. Not really, not really because the sale of Mason Greenwood is pure profit off the top straight away. Yeah. And getting the wages off the books that they've got off the books is big as well. And look, Manchester United are a behemoth when it comes to money. Oh, the Arab. But you see the way the way things are fixed now is that every year you have to show that it's not every over three years anymore. It's every year now. So you have to show that you haven't lost. I think they assess you every year and based on the last three years, whatever way do you fucking deal with them. But no, you know, you could just literally sell a couple of young lads and be done. Yeah. And they will. You know, so I mean, even the last year and year before this, the sales of the likes of Alanga, stuff like that. It might not sound like much, but it's how we've been able to function. No, when we sold the likes of Slanky and Jordan, I, and all of these guys that we were selling for 10, 12, 15, 20 million here, they're never. That adds up when they're youth players. It makes a massive difference when you're spreading the payment for a Dominic Sebastian or Dominic Sebastian, like tight care, a big fee over five years. If you're able to sell a 15, 20 million pound youth player, one or two will window. It makes a huge difference on the balance sheet. So PSR won't be a problem. It's the one, the Lenny Arnold one is interested in them. I was talking to Shawn, he about with, because Shawn, he watches all the Ramadre Barcelona stuff. Yeah. He's man into that. And he was, he's convinced. He was like, look, he's not going anywhere else, but Ramadres. Like he did, Ramadre will literally give them a few quid now, or he'll just sit there for a year and go on a free. And that's what Ramadre did at the end of the minute. The repubers in their squad were fellas going on for years. Yeah. You know, you're not in a bidding for that. I'm not saying you won't get Lenny Arnold. I don't know. I'm having a fucking clue. But, but for me, Lenny Arnold is really, really, um, highly rated, right, massively rated. But, are you not, you're doing a little favor here by bidding 50 million to try tempt Ramadre into doing something? Or put pressure on the player? Um, you know, because, let's be honest with him, Lenny Arnold goes to Manchester United. He never, he won't go to Ramadres. That's it. Well, it would be a massive coup. It would be a massive coup for Manchester United. I mean, to outbid Ramadre given the state that Manchester United are in at the minute. But, but the thing is, if Lenny Arnold's looking at it, if he goes and signs for Manchester United on a five-year deal. And he's really fucking good. Ramadre, I'm going to pay a hundred million for him. No, no, no, no, no, simply not. And I think Ramadre are basically telling him, this is your chance. Yeah. That's exactly it. You know, if you want to come up there for Ramadre, it's, this is the way to do it. And this is how you do it. And it's now. Yeah. Or in five years time, we might look at you and it's if, if, if, if, if. Yeah. And the three, if you kick on, bloody bloody bad. And the thing is we're, the thing is with, um, with the whole, the other one fair enough. And Bramway, I always thought Bramway would end up a Manchester player already. I'm not, I wasn't too sure. But, you know, it seems to be the ones going for them. I'm amazed to see you're dealing something along that line. Um, yeah, I really thought you would look at him. Um, but it's a nice. The lit, the lit always came out with a force coin, the real tag. You know, um, and I, I always thought, I thought that the linear link and the, even the Bramway a little bit was basically trying to push baring into. You know, we're going somewhere else if you won't take this deal. Um, but it's a bit of a, it's a bit of a matter of what, what's going on with center halves and I do feel Liverpool are going to. Um, Liverpool are going to need the boy center half. But none of the names are happening. Help me. I still couldn't help it. Help me. No. I'm still convinced. Starter back is when I, I said him when we did our first, like, one of our first shows of the summer. And I still think he's that title player. Califiori going to Arsenal is Arsenal setting up with Minnie Pep setting up four center backs to play across the back wall. Califiori will play as a left back. Yeah. And, you know, Minnie Pep will just set Arsenal up with four center backs next season. Say away as many as you do. But I think starter back is that type of player. He could, he's a right age. He's played enough. He's experienced enough. He, he, he looks to me, he's the type of player that Liverpool would have gone for. Played the couple of hundred games international starting his career in international football. Not quite top tier or, you know, first name of the team chief for Germany yet. But you can see where he will be in the very near future. Kind of like Sebastian that respect in the Bundesliga where he's played a lot of football, but not too much football. And, you know, I think that's the kind of center back we need. We need someone who can come in, play in the back four who is this not good, is going to be almost as seamless as good as what we got. You're not going to look sorry better than Virgil van Dijk. So you're looking for that one who's just below, that run below, who's ready to make the next level. And there isn't that, there isn't that many of them out there to be. Yeah, because like when I see the names being branded about, I kind of like, you know, the sum with massive future potential. But established center halves out there are even ones around 22, 23 that you look as, you know, established, but can get better and better. And could be your center back for the next seven, eight years. I don't think that happened now. I really, really don't. Super does that. But I didn't even take the LIT. I love the LIT. I love the X. A real defender. I love them. But my worry over the LIT is that he leaves the X. I think he leaves the season too early. And I think grabbing Virgil is the same. And even then, was it, was it? Don't even have the bake left at the same time as well. Don't even have the bake. Oh, yeah. I think they all left the year too early. Yeah. Because they go into these teams. You look at Don't even have the bake, but I thought he was magnificent for X. And just lost. I'm anxious. You know, if you look at the LIT, the LIT goes to Juventus and had a great chance there to be, you know, the main man for so many years. You know, when you looked at the center backs, he had the age profile of the center backs. And, you know, it doesn't happen for him. It goes to boring. It hasn't happened there really either for him. And my worry is, if you get the LIT, you get him in. He's 24, I think. And this will be his fourth major club by 24. Like, if the LIT is as good as people think he is, or people said he was. And as attitude is as good as people would like it to be. He's not leaving Juventus, and he's not leaving boring. That's just my thing on it. That's just maybe the clothes we're around from at the wrong time. But I do think the LIT, Danny van der Beek and Rowan Granberch should have stayed at OAX for one more season. I think the telltale sign is, you look at how the Dutch set up in the European Championships with Virgil van Dijk and Seven de Breige as the centre-back pair in, Dijk never got a look. You know, it might have come off the bench once or twice, really late. If he was as good as what they think he is, he would have started ahead of Seven de Breige. And he just hasn't. And Dijk is a good solid, dependable centre-back. He's got to reckon him, but he's a defender. You know, he's a proper defender. And he couldn't, Dijk couldn't shift him out of the way. I think if he goes to United, he doesn't start. He'll be an option for them to use in a rotation, very similar to Harry Maguire. But the manager knows him, and if the manager thinks he can get something out of him that others couldn't and bring him back to somewhere near where he was at OAX, then it could turn out to be. That's why I think, forget about the wages for a sec. He's 24 years away, he's 35 million. If you can get him anywhere near back to what he was, it'll be a bargain. If he doesn't, it was a gamble that he'd pay off. Yeah, but he turned into the- But the thing is, it's miraculous. It keeps moving and moving and moving. You see, I agree with you. If he comes in until 150 grand a week and told you for a million, and that's fair enough, right? If you can get him back to anywhere close to where he was at OAX, I think you're doing great. But farm will tell you that you're not going to. No. And to primarily reach your life, very fucking quickly, you know? Own boxers, van der Beek has gone to Jerome, and they're apparently for half a million bills. Yeah, yeah. Like, he was so fucking good van der Beek. When they bang down about Frankie the young, who's a brilliant footballer, when they bang down about with him, and you know, you're like, "Oh, Frankie, the young van der Beek was just outstanding." That's it. Yeah, that I excited the perfect balance between- It was so good. It was only van der Beek. Yeah. The young behind him, you had a young, aggressive centre-back in the lift. And the spine of the team was so good. And they were just so good to watch as well. And they didn't care. They had no respect for any reputation of anyone that they played. They just went and played. It's like big fish and small pond syndrome when you take them out of where they were comfortable and what the environment that they absolutely knew everything about. It just didn't work. None of them ever got back to where they were. Frankie Dionne was probably the exception to the rule, where he went to Barcelona and he has improved. Yeah. The rest of Frankie Dionne was a brilliant football and was all starts going on. We're having those contracts over there. Before we finish up a couple of other names being linked and look. You know, people are asking the chat, "What are we going to do? What are we going to do with regards to like Matt up to Yago leaving? Are we going to fill them with you players or what are we going to do?" Are you genuinely believe we will sign? If it was me, it's definitely a centre-half and it's definitely the defence of my field. Definitely, in the song. Now of course I, in the slot, has said, "Look, 4-2-3-1." You know, I don't know where you get this from. You know, 4-3-3, it's the standard. I think you will look for that. Up front, I think you'll only see me on the front of someone else. That's where I am. But, a couple of things. So the first one is this young lad from Chelsea. Now I wouldn't usually take any attention to this stuff. You know, I literally wouldn't pay any attention to it. It's a young lad signing for the academy. Chelsea seems to be opening arms over this. Yeah. To the point where Chelsea fans are literally going, this is, for them, probably the best young prospect. And he's going to live up here. So it's real, and I want to say, in Gamoa, something along that line, I'm hoping I'm saying his name. I haven't accidentally told you how to say it. So this lad's 40 and a 15 years of age. Again, when these things happen, it was like, you know, yeah, young flip, so I might see him in a few years. The so much noise over this case. So much noise over it. And not from the Liverpool end. I don't think Liverpool look like the air going to get this deal done. Those types were going to break all sorts of structures, but that's being taken as now. That's not going to happen. They'd be joining on the same structures. If you're a U player, I'll live up here where they can't control the care of us. So all sorts of stuff. You don't even be paid a certain amount. But Chelsea seems to be like literally gone bananas over this. Like, is he that good enough? I don't know. And that's the truth. 16 on July the 24th. It is the thing. The person who broke it, who first announced it and caveatted it that Liverpool are going to break their way structure. That's what Earth would be the most. But I looked at the comments underneath because it just caught my eye really within a few minutes. And the first probably 20 comments were Chelsea fans. Oh my God, I can't believe this is happening. He's so good. He's so talented. He's a big loss. And I looked at these accounts then. I'm like, these aren't your normal blue tick, blue tick wankers. These are like normal Chelsea fans who like Liverpool fans who comment under a thread and be like, oh yeah, it's considered a bit of a considered opinion. Okay, fair enough. This kid might be about something. You look in then and you look at what he's done. He's played all the age groups up through for England. See in a few YouTube highlights of him in new themes and yeah, really quick fee, winger. But at that age, you could be anything. You haven't looked through what this kid is going to do. Nobody knows. But at the end of the day, the one thing I think that's massive for us, you can turn around to any youth player of caliber and say, look at that league of final. Look at that league of final. Look who won it. Look where they came from. Look at the opportunities they had at the start of preseason. Look at the amount of games they played in the first team and they weren't jobbers. They came in and they did a job. They did what was expected of a first team player. The pathways are there. Whereas if you're a Chelsea and you're buying 10, 15, 20 players, a window, it's absolutely ridiculous. There's no right nor reason to what Chelsea are doing. And if you're a talented 15, 16, 17, you're all a Chelsea. You get over there. Where is he? Years ago, Chelsea, that was their bread and butter. Years ago, the bread and butter was they signed your own players. They sent them it on loan. If they were brilliant, they come back and play it. If they weren't so brilliant, they got some exposure around Europe in the leagues of France, Germany, Holland in particular, and they come back and they go, "That's not going to quite make it, but we're going to turn 10 million on them." And they don't understand this. This subso doze them all the time. How much actually subso doze them is a part of the big? I think this 1.6 billion over the course of his ownership. I think this move, if he's a significant talent at Chelsea, I think this must set alarm bells running through Chelsea, that they have a huge problem coming up on the rails, that if they keep signing all of these players from around Europe and around the world, they're going to lose their bread and butter. Because they haven't signed pro forms yet. They're still on schoolboy contracts. They can move and young players now are looking at the likes of... And in fairness, Chelsea have just sold one, Ian Matson. Ian Matson got from Chelsea to Villa after a season long loan at Brucie Dortmund, the way he was treated by Chelsea was shambolic. The Champions League final last got a big move to Villa on the strength of a good loan move. If Chelsea start to see that income dry up, the people who should know better should know better, and they should be worried, they should be really worried. Yeah. Kevin Busses, they've lost two lives in the academy staff, and he's brought them to where Chelsea's and the players are all over the place, it's the best in England. Don't get me wrong, Chelsea are really good at taking new players, sending them a loan and stuff like that. They have got players all over the place. But my thing is, Chelsea a couple of years ago, when they were really successful, we'll bring these players in, we'll get them a loan move. To good teams, like to good teams. And then if it didn't happen, they would turn them over and get 10 million, 15 million, 40 million, whatever it would be, and it all added up. The problem with each Chelsea have now is that, they're not even looking to bring these players in a loan or whatever it would be. They're basically going, "We're just selling these 10 players here." And the players that would usually come up through the ranks, maybe have a go at Chelsea and see what happens, and maybe have to move on, they're not quite good enough. Maybe it's just me, but we couldn't get to feeling that. That's going to get logged on there. There's only so many players you can have at the club, and they seem to just bring in player after player after player. And I don't know, maybe they have a plan behind the boat. It seems a bit of a model. It seems a bit of a model. Chelsea's selling the own structure for Barcelona, it's now going to severe a loan. Yeah, they do do that. But what I'm saying is that, right, if you're selling a player for Barcelona, they're selling them to severe a loan. Fine. But what I'm saying is, these young lads come in true, 14, 15, 16, right? Instead of them getting looked at and loaned, what's happening is, the lads that are 18, 19, 20, they aren't going to get near you're forcing them. They definitely need loans. So you have to get them in and get them in for loans. These lads in that age bracket that would look to break true or look to get to 17 and get loans, they might get overlooked. And that's all I'm saying. But look... Definitely a one to watch for sure. We're watching Chelsea meetings with fucking madness, but no one's stopping them. Like nobody's stopping them. That's... And they're selling assets. They're selling hotels for themselves. And listen, we can go on about as much as we want, but at the end of the day, nobody's stopping them. They don't want to do it. And not even stopping them, but just go on. Listen, I think this... This might be a bit of marriage as I do in here, but no one's saying anything to them. One other name, I think you'd show that before. We finished Joe Nevis. You know, his name popped around the place early in the summer. It's come back up now. Seen a couple of reports saying Liverpool are looking at Joe Nevis. Ben Fick, isn't he? Ben Fick, yeah. And apparently the Boyo class from him is 101 million pounds. And Liverpool are looking at this, but I take that with a pinch of Salkef. Yeah, me too. I think he's a really talented young colour. I mean, really, really talented. He looks so good on the ball. Whenever I watched Portugal play. No, anything about what he's done for his club side, but to be at that age and getting into the Portugal side and looking comfortable and looking like he belongs at that level, there's definitely something about him for that kind of money. Yeah, that would be... I want to see a lot more of him. You know, before you'd be splashing out cup record fees. Well, again, Sean, he's one that's watched quite a bit of him, and he's raves and raves and raves about him. But it's... You're the one, apparently, we were loosely linked with Israel. Boy, you're away, I think. I don't know if you've seen it. It was Joe Gomez, the kid from Wolves. Oh, yeah. He's a lot of big fans here, haven't he? Yeah, I like him. Yeah. Eight new areas as well as the other one. Yeah. Kyle's again, not going anywhere near that place. Yeah, listen, I'd take it out of time. And I don't think anyone should. Yeah. I don't think anyone should at that age, at that level of experience. You know, he's basically had one full season at Benfica, and on the back of that, it would be like signing Corby Maynard for 105 million pounds. Yes. It was a good start. All right, see that. I have no problem with someone saying to me, they were probably looking at this fella, and what you've done is, they're going to give 60 million pounds from it, but there's massive incentives on top of that. So they could raise to 90 million pounds. If he plays so many games, wins so many things, I have no problem with that. Because you're covering yourself. And you're not putting the hanging yourself out of the drawing for 100 or more million after, from the get-go. People have watched them, absolutely love them. I haven't seen enough of them, but 100 or more million. You know, people will say, look, well, we did me, did me fucking put 104 million on the table for, Moises, I said, oh, yeah, we did. I think for that kind of money, genuinely. And I don't care about anyone. And this would be for any club. At that kind of money, you have to be backing a surefire, a surefire, even money in a tour. And a surefire thing doesn't always work. If you look at Moises, I said, what's else? I don't think he pulled the money through this. They rarely do. Yeah. Even ends up in Andes is a good player. He's not 120 million pound player. Yeah. Actually, he says they're trying to do an end of Fernandez 2.0 with that boyo price. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I'm going to shoot enough to pay us. So someone asked us there before we leave. Oh, Jerry says, Tarte, I'm going to order to manage our lads. Listen, I don't know what to say. Like, like, literally eight months. I just said, yeah, failure, bro. I think about eight months since Stephen Kennedy left the job. He leaves the job that say that that's doing this process. They're going to do this. They're going to do that. And next of all, he just felt that leaves Jamaica last week. He gets the job. I know like... Shrongsed out of the copper, copper America as well. Not even. And I mean, that's not a bad Jamaican side. There's some players that everyone knows in that Jamaican side. Yeah. But it just shows... But regardless of what the name is, right, this guy had a job 10 days ago. Yeah. And now he's the oil manager. And I don't know. Like, best of luck to him. Best of luck to him. I think it just... I think it just shines a lot even more. So now on what a shambles the football association about it is. An absolute and utter shambles. And a couple of things on this. You don't go eight months without a manager to appoint someone that's left a Jamaican job 10 days ago. That's one. And two, the way they've been ran and the way people have taken money out of that association as a fucking hobby over the last 10 years, right? And you can't offer someone decent money to manage your own team. It's an absolute recipe for disaster. And it's only going to continue. It's only going to continue because there's nobody going in there to make changes. There's nobody going in there to make changes. They're just continuing on. And tell you how great they are and I assure luck with your own team. And another generation of our own footballers will go past, boy. Will they sit around going, you know what? I assure them we have a great time in 2012 and 2016 or whatever. No, that's a signal because look, I follow as Garbrin. And Gar is doing his coaching badges and stuff on Twitter. And it's like... He talks a lot about online about the state of the league. The coaching in the league of Ireland and the players. But at youth level, Ireland have done really well over the last few years. There is a good core crop of young players coming through. And you're giving them a guy whose basic formula for football is 442, men behind the ball, defend the edge of the box to win an interview life, and who fit long and hope. That's what he did with Iceland. That's what he tried to do with Jamaica and God help us. But even in the case of the Jack Chautens, because when Jack Chauten was doing it, Jack was doing it with John Aldridge and no Quinn up front. But let's... That was a bit of message to the madness. Yeah, but listen, this appointment is... It's fucking laughable. It is a joke. Right? And that's no reflection on the guy that's got the job. But it's laughable. The whole process, who it is, he's probably fucking a minimum wage the way the FAO are running at this stage. But you were talking about Gary Breen and the League of Orleans. The League of Orleans biggest issue is the FAO. Yeah. Right? Because over the last years and Brexit has compounded this, more players that had gone off the England from Ireland were coming back. And they weren't coming back at 23 and 24 for a few quid. They were coming back in the problems of their career because they didn't like it, it wasn't happening for them. Came back the quality of the League of Orleans has grown and grown and grown. I would say arguably for the last 10 years. The crowds have grown and grown and grown. The facilities are getting better and better. And each club now is being put on their pressure to improve their facilities. And when you look at the likes of Shamrock Rovers and the stadium they have and the academy that they have, no people will say, "Oh, well, the council owned that ground. That's the way you should go. That's the way you should go. The council should own all the grounds. The football club should be the anchor tenants. That's an absolute priority. And that means then that you're not worrying about the cupkeeper ground. The council do all that because they want to attract people into use that stadium in the off season and stuff like that. You look at the players that come back and play it. You look at the amount that are staying in the League because Brexit won't allow them to go off at 16 now. They have to be 7 or anything or over. So, but the biggest problem is the FAI. Because the FAI whole rank on this, literally, right, if those four teams in Europe from Ireland this week, right, from Europe this week, if any of them get through this round, they will make more money from that two game, that them two legs, than they would from winning the League of Worlds. Yeah. Right? So, the biggest problem with the League of Worlds is the FAI. It always has been. They hold everything back, right? They don't want to put money in. So, all these are grassroots. Come here. You're talking to the Fokum wall, you know what I mean? Yeah. And adjust compounds today. That appointment today is laughable. Absolutely laughable. And again, it's no reflection on the guy that's got the job. He's gone for the job. He's gone. Right? When you look at who we were linked with, all summer long, you know, they're going to go for this guy, that guy, the other guy. They were talking about Lee Karisley. Lee Karisley is in the hunt for the England job. Yeah. He's in the hunt for the England job. Chris Newton, you know. Another one, Premier League experience. They can't attract him to come and work for this Ireland setup. It's not as if there aren't coaches out there. Yeah. I mean, I say they tried to interview Sam Aradou for Fok's sake. Yeah. But Charlie says John Delaney made more money before expenses. And the League winners. John Delaney made four times the amount that League winners were in this country. That's the truth. But look, best look to the way that's got the job. But God love you. Because what you're going into there is absolutely off the wall. And I'll say it now and people can call me to this. League of Ireland is in such a good spot at the moment. With the exposure it's getting, the crowds it's getting, the quality of football, the players staying on to play, and rather than all the England that the force available opportunity. The best thing the League of Ireland could do, right, as soon as he possibly can, is break away from the effort. Who was the Premier League? Yeah, break away. Listen, we'll play under your rules, but we're running our own ship now. And it's being mute with a couple of times and being shot down. It's the best thing that could ever happen. Honestly, the best thing that could ever happen. But that's where we are. The link is in the description for our fundraiser. If you want to donate, please do. So if you can't take the link, share it with your friends, your family, bring it into the wall, post it on the wall, wherever you want to do. It's there for us, and it's there for Fails as well.
