The phrase is from Geico, because they helped save people money. Geico? Yeah, they were our team sponsor. Geico, 15 minutes could save you 15% or more. Oh yeah, that's what I call sweet music. It's getting hard in here. Hit me, baby, hit me one more time. Yes, boss, I'm on my mind. I'll try to give you what you like. I can miss others, I can't meet her. Yes, that's it. I like what you're doing. Now we'll get on the mic and try to give you what you like. That's the great Trappers. As cinemas were rammed again and again by insistent throbbing creds, looking to get their fix this week, Liverpool went about the business of recording valuable wins against Beshiktas and top four rivals Southampton. There was a little bit of rough horseplay about a penalty, but Mario hugged Hendo tenderly afterwards, and then yesterday our Brazilian magician used his wand and drew moans of pleasure from those who adore him, whilst donning a striking shade of grey, frankly, it was filthy. I'm Trev Dany, and joining me for more gratuitous in your endos in the bondage bunker are Andy Young, Paul Brennan, Ray Brady and Phil Casey. We're going to look back at Liverpool one, Beshiktas, Nill and Southampton, Liverpool two, but we're going to try to do it in terms of topics and points as opposed to going into match analysis at this stage, certainly when it comes to the European game. The first thing I wanted to talk about was the domination of the team of penalties this week, the whole penalty pool, the thing that people love on Twitter, the fallout from it. We had various people involved, and in the whole penalty's incidents, Stephen Jarrett was very, very vocal, Brennan Rogers was vocal, Henderson was involved, Ballatelli was involved, Danny Sturges involved, and my channel was involved, and then we had the whole friendship of Kevin there on Sunday and the Southampton match and the various penalties and not penalties. So a massive team this week, can you just talk to me about your general feeling about the whole penalty debacle in the Beshiktas match, Paul, what was your take on it, just briefly? I wasn't too asked for it to be fair. It was a bit of a mix-up, obviously Henderson was told he was on penalties, and then apparently like Roger said after the game, that that changes when Ballatelli is on. So you can kind of see where the mix-up comes from, because there's not many teams that have like the kind of top choice penalty take around the bench. So I wasn't too bothered about it, I thought as soon as Ballatelli as soon as was clear he was taken, and he wasn't given a fact, and I thought Henderson in storage should have kind of fucked off out of the box, like if they had a problem with it, let the manager deal with it after the game, maybe, because I thought it was a bit ugly Ballatelli's learning of the penoids, and storage, and Henderson is still beside him, Mona, and Henderson, maybe he has a point. What the fuck is storage doing there, after he has a penalty against everyone, I wouldn't let him take one in a friendlier one, that was the disgrace, he shouldn't have put it out there anyway. But yeah, that wasn't too bothered by it, and like the same day, there was a huge meal made about Jared's comments after the match, again he was still in punditly, that's what you expect, I'm going to show you what he said really. Fair enough, and that's really well done considering that was the last thing you want me to ask you about Fairplanted, and I know it's been done to death, and I'm just raising it because there's a kind of high moral ground that should be taking about this, I don't like, it's an incident we have to talk about, we should talk about it, right, it's caused an awful lot of color mentions and stuff like that, and there was some bizarre things happening, right, first of all Ray on the field, I thought it was pretty much dealt with and finished, did you? Yeah, yeah, definitely, I don't know, I think it's much a deal, but honestly, as the last I was saying, he's the main man, he tastes fancy, he doesn't fucking miss, and the bottom line is the end just to fool his demands, he scored a goal, and had he scored it yet, give him stick, lash him out of it, of course, it's no different than someone taking a shot and everyone, they're going 12 foot over the back, everyone gives them fucking stick what you're doing that far, he hits it and it goes to the top corner, he's a hero, so he's got a goal, it means nothing to me, he should have, what he did need, the captain should have done this, means nothing, he's gone. Well talk to me about the interactions between the players there immediately, so what I like to bear was, I don't know if, maybe people are rather different, but it looked to me like, okay obviously Danny had the hump badly, looked like Danny was putting Jordan Henderson on the spot, which I thought was bad for him, then you've got Jordan looking over the bench, looking a bit kind of lost, he got absolute, Danny Glenn flat, he got such abuse for that, which I thought was nonsense. And then you've had my chan coming in after a goal goes in, telling us to celebrate, which yeah, yeah, just look at that guy and go, could you admire him any more, I mean, what was your take about the players reaction in the aftermath, I thought, storage in particular looked like really, he couldn't let him, say that about your, you're gonna let him, yeah, he couldn't let him wait, yeah, sorry to me, I'll type it here, like it was, it was just because no one knew what was meant to happen, and it was blatantly obvious, then cameras are everywhere, and they picked up everything, lip reading, you could see everything that was going on, it was cringeworthy, in fairness, but I think I couldn't have gave a fuck really, it was just, it was done in a don't give, a fuck, one last thing, one last thing to talk about, Andy, and I'm coming to you on this specifically because I know you're quite a fan of the, of the capital, and I know you have different opinions about Mario, so just talk to me about Jared's, well, first of all, why is Jared doing poetry on a match when he's still a player, second of all, what do you think about him insinuating that Henderson was a weak captain in that moment, and it was a little bit disrespect, what do you think, well, well he's, he's done compuncy loads of times, so he can't score, he's been injured, I'm not gonna put him, I think like, part of the hell he's cars me and I have a fucking stress on me, like he's made me annoy that loads of people, and that's what I don't like, and when he was coming in to a club, these are the things, it's gonna happen, he cars as a snowball effect, like he does it, does something and then people start fighting and arguing over him, exactly, yeah, so although like, it's not a big hullabaloo, like, people try and take penalties out of each other all the time, like, but you rarely see it happening at Liverpool, and this, that'll come in, I mean, that shit didn't have to happen which I had, like, he was caught on the hop there, he shouldn't have said what he said, but if Ballotelli didn't do that, then it wouldn't happen, look, Rodgers defused brilliantly afterwards and said, oh no, like, it was just a mental understanding, and Ballotelli is dependent, clearly he's not, like, clearly that wasn't the plan, Henderson, like, was just standing there doing golf, fishing, press, and he can't believe what was happening, so you'd be harsh on him, would you, you'd be harsh on the way he does it, oh, no, Henderson, and not really, like, I'd say he just didn't expect it, like, Ballotelli just walked over, took the ball out, parked him on the back and just walked past him, like, so close, eh, like, when Henderson was, most of the entertainment he had, fuck, holy dear, what do I do, yeah, that storage, like, starts as, as a, like, I mean, what the fuck, like, come on, yeah, shit, don't, don't let him, don't let him away with that, like, that's exactly what he was doing, he was shit storing on the pitch, it's ridiculous, it's like, like, Henderson handed it well at the time, like, he tried not to react, but you could see, like, he was just chomping at the bit, like, couldn't believe. Well, when Ballotelli pulls him in for a little hog afterwards, he can just see the face of himself, just fucking leave it, you know, I'm sure he's done, I'm all the clippers in Netty, then, we're, we're in there where Ballotelli went up, and, you know, they show up to Netty, walking up, and literally just saying, no, you're not taking it, you went to take it back, or something else, and Netty came up, and just took it, and was in real, you know, Jordan, that's the way it should have been in 2015, and I'm not boring it, listen, don't, now you're talking, sorry. The problem is, like, Ballotelli wouldn't have done that to Jared, so he's looked at Henderson and said, fuck you, you're only a piece of shit, like, give me that ball. Yeah. You know, why? They can't do it after, you know, the captain elect, like, it's, for his case, captain on the Noy, he just can't do it, it's out of skill, like, and it annoyed me, and that's not even because I don't like Ballotelli, that's because anybody, anybody could have done that, Coutinho could have done it, and I had a bit of feeling, it's just like, people praising for it now, like, you know, he was chomp-hashing there, like, he wanted a scar to go, you know, that's not the case, it's all about him, every fucking game he plays, it does his own thing, and that was typical of him doing his own thing, and making his own choice. It's the manager's decision at the end of the day, and, look, in fairness, he's probably going to take the next penalty, because he's scarred it, and he can't bear you with that. But I think it was a bit of a spoil, I know. Yeah. Fair enough. Fell only last words on this before we move on to the penalties in the other match. Yeah. Look at it, for me, Billy Paul, Milton made it over Molle here. Gerard made most of the Milton over, should have just said nothing, and would have just disappeared, had he just blanked the question in the interview afterwards. If Henderson was on penalties, that's one of the bizarro shouts ever, because I wouldn't have Henderson anywhere near the penalties, you know, we've seen his shoot, and it's why we're the best, and there would have been a lot more people on the pitch that you would have said would be the go-to person. Straight away, we've Emery Chan, who's a German, Germans never miss penalties, like, you just tell him to smack it, right? But Ballotelli is there, it should have been an automatic thing. Now, if you take Rogers Ward, I face value that when, as soon as Ballotelli comes on the pitch, he's the designated penalty taker, then what was Henderson doing? Yeah. Because it makes, it weakens Henderson forwarder, and by saying that, because it's saying, well, what's he doing? Do you know what I mean? It's not an argument, yeah. It's not an argument. That's Ballotelli's penalty. And then it makes out, so storage look foolish, because what storage is saying, because storage is clearly saying, no, you're on penalties. You know what I mean? You have to be taken. You're the captain. So, all in all, it's just, it's something that should have just disappeared. But unfortunately, it wasn't helped with the comments on the noise, and, well, who cares? We've got the penalty. To be honest with you, if Ballotelli's on the pitch, and Gerard's on the pitch, then Ballotelli has to be the penalty taker. He just doesn't miss penalties. It's like, when you boil it down to the basics, right, he's the best penalty taker in the team, outside of Gerard, probably, and you just, you've even seen it. It's a pressure penalty. It's a huge moment. After all the shit that goes on, he could have easily roofed that. He could have scored it. He could have hit the top of the cup, whatever. You're not a man. You're never in doubt. But never in doubt, he's watching to keep it out of time, and it's just, it's clinical the way he executes. Even the strike itself, it's perfect, it's into the soil, isn't it? So, you know, on the merits, he should be the penalty taker in Gerard's absence as soon as it's... You think I'm letting that come? At least he had the moral courage to play. Well, you know, going back to your original bit, the intro about penalty peeling, it was getting penalties. Like, you get penalties because something happens, and, you know, it's rare that, you know, that you aren't attacking a team or you aren't doing something right to get a penalty, and it was a penalty all day against the live. It's not even a case that that was 50/50, and going on to Sunday's match, like, Southampton had two clear penalties. There's no arguing with that. And we could have had one on four snuck, but in fairness, the referee made a very good decision. You know, when you see, Font gets the ball forced, then he takes the month, and so it just... And he was the player. He takes the ball force before he makes contact with the man. You know what I mean? He wasn't out controlled in terms of the taker that he makes, and it turns out to be a good decision. But, like, Kevin Friend, who's a shit ref, seems to be on air so that he can't go wrong with that. Genuinely, I'm fucking delighted that we got away with penalties. These things tend to eat even themselves out of the course of a season, so... You know, the penalty-pilting is just something that they try. It's like chicken-pil. Back at trial. Chicken-pil, bitch-clotch. You know, so there seems to be a perception that we get loads of penalties, and I don't think we get any more than most other sorts. Yeah, fair enough. Just one last point down on that. You were the one who flagged up Jared's comments, and basically that was the only thing to create an issue, actually, to be honest, because it was going down to one pitch. But the manager haven't played a blinder, as one of the lads said, there immediately in the aftermath, then kind of made a complete bollocks of it by going back and apparently having a bit of a go at Balotelli. What'd you make of that? Unconfused of that. Dave Thomas told me that those comments were made directly after the match, and not in the pre-match press conference the next day, and that the penalty bit then was actually made in the pre-match conference the next day. So, it's the reverse of all that. If you're to do it, so I don't know. And to be honest with you, we'll probably get on to it later when we're talking about Brendan's post-match comments, so I've just given up listening to them. Straight away, it's like, even with the Mario Balotelli team, it'd be the right thing to say, but then again, who is he telling me? Who knows? Do you know what I mean? You can't say, yeah, that's the right thing to say. You've probably just made it up to make it make it better. Well, you're fine or not. It's a wise course of action. You just stop listening to him, I think. Yeah. We will go on and talk about Bishaita's, but maybe more in conjunction with the preview of the next game. So, the other thing I want to move on to is the winner, Ted Hampton-Paul, look, there's no kind of really way around that. That's his bigger three points as we've ever had this season. It's remarkably massive, big deal, and kind of does set us up, you know, because if we had lost that and then lost against City, it's done, isn't it? Yeah, I think especially with the way the results went, the rest of the weekend, we got a few nice results in our favor, and it was kind of all on us then, you know, you're thinking, "Jesus, don't balls this up?" And I think it would have been really deflating if we hadn't have won. You'd have really thought, "Well, there was a chance to really claw back and get back into the convention." So, it was a great win in that way. And it was another kind of case, like the Bishaita's match, it was another fairly cagey match. It wasn't us kind of free-flowing or anything. And in a way, that's almost as exciting as internals, because we know what we're like when we're playing well. The problem is that when we're not attacking generally this season, we've kind of lost games, we can see, we've thrown away goals for fun. And it was good to see us finally kind of, like especially the second half, the way we shut up shut up. I thought it was a really satisfying of three points as we've gotten our season, I think. Yeah, and so, the next question I'm going to lead on to then is it on? Are we back? Are we back in there? Yeah, top four is definitely on, yeah. There's no way. I know Phil would probably bring out his casey normics about how many teams are ahead of us now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was a two point. A two point off, like there's no way it's on, we're definitely in it, like we have to go for it. Yeah, yeah. Just registering. Yeah, yeah. Now they're saying, Ray, Ray, I came back from domestic wilderness there to check me phone last night. I had to endure a conversation. Looks like Ray was witching the football hypnosis. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. That's right. The last one we've seen Ray, he wasn't living with a family of bears. No, he's gone. Really? No, he's gone to an office. You're just like, "You mean by looking at the office?" Look at this one. Look at the 12 team. Yeah, that's the next stage. It's like the fucking stage is a fighter, Jack. Yeah. Zangi, Brady. Right. You're calling me Andy. It's a wild game. Anyway, the point is when I got back to that, I had to endure a conversation between Andy and Phil on the text. They're talking about points and potentials. I'm going to come to you on this, Andy, in a few minutes, because your theories were... I was getting a heart on the side, though, really. That's your first stage drink? That's a big 7,000. I'm here, isn't that right? 7,000 points left. The points left. Look, realistically speaking, are you completely on board with Paul saying, "Are we very much in it?" Absolutely. Yeah. The farm saw it in the lake. Yeah. What about... If we get our ass kicked against Sydney, does that just make sense? No, well, sorry. I was really worried about this, with Southampton, really worried about it. Obviously, the European hangover team hasn't been mentioned yet, when we were playing them. Spores really struggled against us. Playing on the tours, they were expecting a sort of ship of farms against the team. They had nearly a two-week break, so more than happy to play shit like that. And then, you know, robbed the three points. So, that was huge for me. If we could... Four points from them, two games would have done me. Obviously, six would be ideal, but if we could get it dry, I would say that you would consider that a job well done. Do you feel I was a bit of a robbery on Sunday? Oh, yes. We don't know what about it, definitely. Yeah. Yeah. Without it, we don't know what about it. It didn't create too many clear-cut chances, but I'm just talking on playboys that are tired to write about it. We did see it out in the end, but, yeah, I thought so, Tottenham, that does under the cash for a long period. Am I right in saying, if I hadn't been for Danny Sturridge's multiple efforts that he just seemed to take on more selfishly as the match went on, that would have been just two shots, two goals. Yeah. Basically, for the rest of the day. Yeah. Yeah. Basically, yeah. And let's mention Mingle as well, for a few... a few super sets. For sure. Come on to him. Andy, talk to me about your theory, then. Talk to me about how it's on. I never thought it was, no. Oh, yeah. [LAUGHTER] I think we're never too far away, but it's just, like, lately the upto on the farm, and, you know, they've been clawing back at that average points per game that, you know, we need. So... [LAUGHTER] Andy, I'm not sure you know it. I don't normally do this, but if I want to, I only... [LAUGHTER] Hello. [LAUGHTER] Hello, this is... [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] Like, not only 72 points gets you far, year in year over the last decade, right? OK. But this year, the standard is being pretty sure. So at the moment, like, you know, if you average out their mental points, they're 47 points. They're 1.8 points per game, right? And if you deploy that average towards the end of the season, after 26 games, they'll only have 68 points, 69 points. So let's say... 38 games. Well, 38 games. Yeah. [LAUGHTER] So, one night only you did say it, right? There may be a flaw in this. [LAUGHTER] So, OK. If you're probably the average to the end of the season, are you 69 points from a possible er... [LAUGHTER] 26. [LAUGHTER] I'm making a game this time. [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] I'm making a game this time. [LAUGHTER] You're going up. [LAUGHTER] So... [LAUGHTER] This is the best start to part out. [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] So, where are we going to get into the two games to go, Andy? [LAUGHTER] So, let's just say... [LAUGHTER] Men on target were 70 points, right? Yeah. Nearly guaranteed. Probably nearly guaranteed. OK. In this season. Yeah. Yeah. This season. Doesn't really matter about last season. [LAUGHTER] No, no. We'll get this. [LAUGHTER] [LAUGHTER] So, let's say 70 points, you know, we'll get you far. Right? Right. It means we're a little drop. For now in the end. I know you don't think that's too bad. That's not bad at all. Even we're a beat against... What way did you factor that in your end, Andy? I mean, how many losses and draws is that? What way did you look at this? It was a matter of 11 points. Yeah. Well, it was looking at the last 12 games. And I think, like, there's a maximum of 70 points to be dropped. And that's being real negative. Right? And we wouldn't get it, obviously, with that. But there's a minimum. Like, a minimum, like, I think if you were being positive, like, we probably only drop 7 points. Hmm. You know what I mean? That's between, is there 11 points? 11 points. No, I mean, and we get away with it. Yeah. If, you know, it continued to go. Because, you know, at Apache, like, whereas we started off terrible, and now we're just going on our own. But, you know, at Apache, you can kind of assume that they'll just continue on the way they've gone for SSEs and have that 1.8 point per game ratio. Spores Apache. I personally would say we'll get toward. So it really is between us, you know, and spores. Go forward. I don't think I need to disagree. And I think Southampton have shown recently that they're not really going to carry it out. Yeah. But, I think it's well done. I think, I don't think we'll drop any more than 11 points between us. Fucking flawless logic. Yeah, I think, right? Flawless logic. We had to discuss it. We seriously put it as well. Yeah. I don't think anyone listens to that. No, exactly. We're out. I tried. When we were talking about it, I got a bit more positive in terms of whether a disc will be done enough. Because I boiled it down to nine wins. Nine wins from my last 12. From the last 12. It gives us 27 points, which would mean that we finished on 72. And over the last five years, 72 points, bar one year, will guarantee you for it. OK. So, it frees a three losses, sorry. Three losses. There's three games you can drop points in. Given that we have Chelsea, you know it at Arsenal, and seek you to play in the next 12 games, you've got a bit of playing around there you can do with it. But it means that you have to put to bed all the games that you're meant to put to bed. If you want to finish towards, then you're looking at 10 wins and a draw from your last 12, which is the exact same one we went on last year. We do want to finish. You're thinking all the time, and you said last year as well, finishing at Arsenal. So, to terrain them in. Look, just talking on the ultra positive vibe, because everyone's ultra positive out there so time to game. But if we went on an identical run to the way we finished last season, then we finished toward. We'd end up at 76 points, and that guarantee is a toward. Because 74 points is more or less the benchmark for a toward. You can say, yeah. But that's the ask. You put that in front of you, that's literally what you do. As I said, knowing wins from 12, with the run in that we have, is not undilable. Right? So even if you lost three of the four games against the teams that are above us at the moment, and you win all the rest of the games, which is plausible and which is doable, looking at the fixtures that we have left in terms of teams that we've to play against, that's eminently doable. And when you stand back and look at that, that's very positive. Here's a totally one for you. I think you'd want to be drawn them at least, because the R6 point is like, you know, and you are giving them an advantage, if you look at that again, it's going to be completely different because they've just went three points. And you know, we've just thrown away a chance to make three. I don't disagree, Andy. I think of the four of those four games, you can't afford to lose against you, not in an arsenal. Yeah. You can probably lose. We can probably lose the Chelsea and City. See, once we don't lose. But I think we'll draw the weekend. I think that's quite a way to go. But going back to it, if you, as I said, if we've got 12 games, if you don't win one of those games, you're not going to get your nine wins. So that's the way I look at it, you know, of those four games. And ideally, you win one of the games against Arsenal, you know, and you draw your own, and then whatever happens in your two or bonuses, once you go ahead and win, I'll do it a match. Let's just say what big games we have after European matches, if we're still in a good match, I told. That's what it's going to say to you. That might be in the game. In fact, I haven't really looked into it. Whether we have any big teams, ones directly in competition for us. Also, midweek games, if we get a run, say, in the FA Cup, which is quite possible, we could be into it. The next one's the quarter, so we've got Blackboard, an Assume on that. We win it, which is a big assumption. But say we do. You're into the semis. You'll have a couple of midweek fixtures shown in because you will lose weekends to FA Cup games then. So the owners, there'll be pressure on you a bit like when we played Sunday night last year. Remember, in the midweek, the pressure will be there to win on that. But the one thing about last year is running for those players and most of the players are still there and still involved. Dave dealt with that type of pressure where they have to go out in the midweek and win it. And credit to them, the game at the weekend, they had to win it. I said it, even tweeted beforehand, after the points were dropped by the previous day, after what went down on the sports game, they couldn't afford not to win that much. And regardless of the performance in the first half, they turned in the win. And that's all. When you look back at the course of the season, you'll think of that game and say, "Yep, that was three big points." And every three points we've put on the boards since Christmas have been massive and these have been grown and grown and grown. The sports game was a massive three points. This is a massive three points. And now you look at City. If you've got three points against City, you've already got bonus points in your bag down at the side. Yeah, again, it's certain in terms of that Southampton match, I don't care how dominant Southampton were. Because especially in the second half, we just clamped the game down. That's not something you'd associate with us normally. So that was just delighted to see that. After the second half went in, I even said on Twitter, "Jeezer, that's great, boy. I'm not feeling where we're going to concede soon because that's what we normally do. If we go tune it up, normally, if we're not attacking, if we're not going after the game, we lose our way." So I was just like, "Oh, that was weird." The way we locked it down, we were really kind of phooking clutches. We locked the game down. You could see in Southampton's players towards the end of the game, instead of where normally teams sense the fear and they go after us. Yeah, like Southampton, they were strong on their own area at the end of the game. Look, you have to bring it on to where we need to go to the next, where I wanted to go to the next. There was a little area around the return of Dejan Lovren and the cycles injury and how that may affect us ongoing. First of all, I'm going to throw out this kind of question because I haven't been in the news area today. Is there any feedback on cycles injury? Does anyone know any details about that? Okay, so if we take it that Mr. Lovren might be in situ for a while, we need to talk about Dejan. So let's talk about them and see what did we think of them on the day. Paul just said, Ray, that we locked down the match in the second half. Now, we didn't lock down the match in the first half. No. I don't think anyone can say it was a horrible watch. It was a horrible watch and an awful lot that had to do with a certain exit in the man and he's incredible, tends to not look comfortable. Right, he's... Incredible. Yeah, really. I don't think it was a no-deal game for him to come back in for fairness and now we got the death off of the science fans and you could see he was under pressure. He didn't want the ball. He didn't want to do with the ball any time he came near him and got caught by all watching just his nerves were shattered. That's the way it looked to me and I'm sure he wasn't really thankful to the manager for being travelling at the deep end there as much as he wanted to get back in the team. That wasn't the only deals they had for him. I thought he'd go into the game as it went on, but as you'll say, the first half in particular now we was... Well, that's fair enough. Well, talk to me about that. Would you concur with what Ray said there? Did he seem to find his feet after the settlement of half-time and... Yeah, he did. I mean, I was arguing that it wouldn't... I'd like to see him put back into the team and... Because you want the child move for the idea. Yeah, and I got... you know, just with injuries and that, but... I was trying to construct some sort of an argument for him. That's what it's about. It's very difficult, you know. I mean, I don't think Aaron has finished that Liverpool by any means. I think he does need the sawman now to kind of reflect on that season. But what did you say and he needed that bit of time out of the team to reflect and then compare it? Not what I think. I think he's stupid. Some things haven't changed. The very first game he played, I think it was Southampton as well, wasn't it? He wants some press, he wants to spray balls and stuff like that. I thought, at the very least, you know, the few games out of him, that sounded like a fan. That's the fan guy you're getting in the district, right? At the very least, he just started saying, "Okay, all I need to do when I get my chance again is to play things a bit simpler. Knock, get panicked and naturally and put pressure on myself, like whatever, build the opposition pressure. Straight away, he's putting pressure on himself. Because a couple of balls didn't come off and the crowd are breaking and shit laughing at him. I mean, why would you do that to yourself? Yeah. Like, these back paths to me may only come along because it's the sort of shit I can't deal with anything there. So, I'll just go back here because I know I know I can't lose that and maybe maybe I'll fuck up. Take the away off me. But, it was just mental to force 15 minutes from madness, like all over the show. So bad. And then the last 10 minutes, say, of the forest house, but it's always the night he was okay. So, I think like... [laughter] If you think of all the games where you don't play, you know, good sort of like set of times, I mean, he has a little stretch of maybe three games where you haven't got teams that are pulling pressure on and he just finds his feet a little bit. And the side's inside. I'm not going to pull out all this pressure on me, trying to spray balls and deal my things. And just concentrate on dealing things simple. And just getting it lucky for a while. And then all of a sudden you gain a bit of confidence and just believe in himself. And once the oil is taken off, I'm like, I don't need to make a couple of good games and the oil is taken off. And now we look at a confidence from him. Like, the other one is not that bad. He's not... Like, he was playing like a young flick just fucking out of it, like, out of the academy. That's the point. Actually, I'd say young flick in the academy would probably not have to do things very simple. And it'd be just all week, it'd be just preparing themselves. I'd just be relaxed here. But, I mean, it was just playing. It was just ridiculous, you know? But I think if you don't have a run of games where things go well for him, you know, you could say a lot better for him. I thought it was weird putting him on the door, I saw it. Yeah. You know, obviously he's probably thinking the cycle comes back in, chat me or something like that. But Jesus could have done a bit of a favour and pulled him somewhere because when he was sitting on the bench, he's probably watching the cycle thinking, "Okay, well, he's doing all you can do with that." And then he plays on the run. Yeah. Phil, is it... Did the system continue to function? I thought it was just him that was kind of upsetting the applicant. No, I thought it was the fourth 15 minutes overall. It was a hepatitis time. It took Chan 15 and 20 minutes to readjust to playing on the left hand side. But I think that to me was probably one of the most positive things I've seen the start line up because obviously Brendan has made a decision that Lovren is going to be now developed as a right centre back and not as a left centre back, right? And more you fear was that he put minutes left centre back and then Sacco, he'd give him the run of games there and Sacco wouldn't get back into the team when he was fit again, you know? And I don't think Sacco, I think it's sad that it's only proved that Sacco is our best out and out centre back that we have, you know? I thought Scaredle had a very good game, to be honest with you. I didn't think he did much wrong considering he had been great up until the Southampton game over the last couple of matches. But again, you know, for me I was just looking at it. Like Andy said, he's trying to do mad things on the ball. You know, the one thing that we've been praising for weeks about Sacco and Chan is the two centre backs is they never do mad things. They look to get it down, they look to play into midfielders. Sacco does mad things. What he does is he still plays ball to feet. He doesn't try to open 60 yards up the line and looks to crossfield balls and everything like that. There's a logic to what Sacco actually does when he's on the ball. And I don't see the logic in what Lovren does when he's on the ball. It's always like trying to look for a clip pass. And we were sold as player as being a great ball player in centre back and we've yet to see that. No, there is that bit that Andy's talking about in terms of, you know, if the eye is off him for a bit and there's a special pressure. No. (LAUGHTER) I think he's an incredibly stupid player. The more I see him, right, the more I think he's lacking football intelligence completely, right? And I think the hardest thing with a footballer is that if you have no football intelligence, you've only got raw talent. Raw talent would only take you so much. So you can look great in certain games where you make the right decisions. But if you can't make the right decision consistently, you're never going to be a top level player. And that's the real difference between top level players. And even scared for all the criticism he gets as a centre back, and we've seen him in that centre to centre back, he generally makes the right decisions when he doesn't have to, you know, step out and play hoyloins and all that type of stuff. Same with Zacho, he makes the right decisions. And even Chan as a centre back, after those 50 and 20 minutes for Chan, he then starts making the right decisions all the time when he's on the ball. And that's the one thing that Lovren doesn't do. So for me in the second half, I think some Rogers obviously said to him, "Listen, just go back to basics, stop trying to fucking play bars with the loin. Just clear your loins if you have to. Don't go back to stop going back to minulate. It's something that we've stopped doing while you're out. Stop going back to minulate." And that did, you could see that difference in the second half. And he had less to do until Johnson came on, and then it was fucking hairy legs again, you know what I mean? But that was, he's not being helped out there, because your man's fucking helln, an absolute clown. The 50 minutes he was on the pitch was atrocious. Sorry to get into that. It still makes me angry. No, it's okay. I don't want to fucking pocket the thing. All these games going up, Johnson does have to be care fresh, because he'll have to go down. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the squad. I would rather play Sterling as right back, or even as a right centre back before I'd see him in the team again. Look, whatever's going on with Manquille, I just wish that he was on the bench instead of Johnson. It was disgusting. You set me on that fine of Johnson when the freak comes down. And the ball breaks. And he's not even breaking his ball, because there's two seltantan players going to the ball, and he's not even attempting to get over to close it down. He nearly walks over to me. Yeah. And it was actually Lovren who gets up off the ground and then goes to close the ball down, right? So for all, you know, for us talking about Lovren here, you know, to his credit, whatever about him, he did Troyer's best in that second half. And he didn't want to be a leader. That's much better. If I give, if I give plenty of players, as long as the equal in the effort. That's, you know, we let him away with fucking dogs abuse and not being so technical or whatever else, but now effort from that fucking stock in the show each other. And so you shouldn't have neared at him. Yeah. It's, it's, it's, it sounds bandwagon, but to be fair, like he doesn't, he doesn't help himself. I can't even tell himself. Troyer unconvinced when he went down injured that time. I think he forgot that he was towards substitute, and he was thinking that wasn't a good one to go off. And he was happy to go off. Why Ray, he's happy to sit down now and just collect his wage and piss off at the end of the season. And he, I think he just, he thinks he's always there now, like, he must be looking at that team the way they're playing and going, like, I don't know how to convince Rogers. I don't think he'd do that shit. But I don't know what's happening. I don't think he cares. It just, it just looks like somebody just doesn't care anymore. Yeah, he probably is. Paul, after the match, I think it was only actually yesterday or the day before we had, you know, someone drawn attention to the fact that it was yet another clean sheet and defensively speaking, we looked more than solid. And, you know, as you've always said, we granded out the result there. And someone put this to Brandon in a press conference, and he did a Brandon funny where he said, yeah, well, yeah, it's all there to the defensive coach that, you know, you people said we need to get me. There's a little right look. It's so funny. Yeah. He made a joke. So, so, like, what I'm saying to you is, does he, does he have every entitlement? To laugh? Yeah, I thought, I thought it was brilliant. Because, like, I know, I never would have thought that, you know, we'd have a run like this under Rogers. I never thought that we'd be able to sit back and so go pressure. Never. I thought, like, I always had long-term, there was always going to be question marks about defensively. Sort of like, there is, you know, like, as an vendor, there was always for years that was coming. Yes, play, yes, play lovely football. But when it comes up to it, you can stand like, yes, crumble. So, I always thought there'd be that kind of long-term question. But medium-term, I didn't have a problem. I thought he'd definitely improve us. But this is brilliant, this kind of run that we're going on. And with the, like, the amount of stake he got. Like, people were just waiting for his press conferences. And it didn't matter what he said. Like, if he was giving an ARB question, people had their answers. Like, why he was a bollocks for saying this to Matt. So, I think he's well within his right to have a little joke. I pissed myself off. I did. And I didn't even know if I pissed myself off. Because how serious he looks. Like, they're kind of like, you can almost hear the journalists. The fans of college, and then he does this little cheesy smile. Yeah, yeah. Go on, Brendan. Well, give me that one, Brendan. Well, give me that one, Brendan. Well, give me that one, Brendan. I love that. Would you, would you agree? Like, I mean, it's nice to see the fella have a moment, considering all the shit that he takes. He does take a lot of flags. Yeah, look over there. See, we're fickle bunch of fans. Like, that won't be the forced to throw out stick of it out. He's making bad selections. I've slagged them from the start of the season. Well, we'll post some irrational stuff. Well, you know, and he does get a lot of irrational stuff. Yeah. Well, I think that happens. People, like, you have people who you like, let's say, whether it be players or managers. And you sit on that side of the defense, and you tend not to budge them. Why am I quite the other way? Well, swing both ways. We went back. I heard that. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Now you see me. You'll be fucking cut out on them. You'll be fucking playing on them. And he's a pricky. He's real. I love him. I'm on the back of the jersey. So, yeah, I think it's just that, you know, you'll get people, and they sit on that side of the fence, and they just want to have a dig. There's people out there that just took a disloy to the fella. After the run, maybe, like you said, they are turning off with interviews, and don't like listening to them, and they just take a disloy to the man, and then, you know, they're out to get in on every opportunity. You know? And I think from last season, after all the praise, there's probably something a little bit new to him, and he couldn't wait to sort a story back after getting a bit of stick this season. He was, he was a manager of the year last year, and then to stack it in this flak, this toy mill. Maybe he was starting, you know, like a coil spring, wait to hit back, and then we had his arm on, you know? Yeah. And it's not, like we said, it's not like it's, uh, neutrals or opposition fans. It's from our own life that he's getting the worst stuff. It's a crazy bunch of fucking fans. I think that was named, aimed particularly at the media. Like, there's been lots of fucking, um, you know, ex-pros coming out saying, you know, we should be getting a defensive coach in. There's Cara there. We should get, he should get Cara back, bring him in as a defensive coach and be an idea for this and everything that Brendan likes and the holder. I think he's hitting out with him. Like, I don't think, look, let's be honest about it. He's gonna, you know, hear what the fans say, but I think the criticism that he's gonna pay attention to is the one that's coming in the press, 'cause ultimately that's the one that shapes fans' opinions on what's going on. Um, and that's where he's trying to hit out out there, you know? He's taken a lot of stick, he's taken a lot of stick out of us, um, and rightfully so at once. And so, look, that's, that's, that's where he puts himself as a manager. That's what the absolute shot run that we had up to Christmas break, so it's, you can't, you can't, from, from stick, I think. And then he's entitled to hit back when things are going right as well, and when he's torn stuff around, he's entitled to say what he says. I think it's, I think it's a bit cocky, um, do you? Yeah. Especially when you're still sixth in the league and you haven't won anything yet, so. I've been taking a long tutorial on this. That's talking hell. You can at least write this, go into your box. It's positive field now. Like, what he saw in his incredible lands on Deloitte. Like, I really like Rodgers, and I like to see him succeed at Liverpool. Like, I think a change a manager would just, would just kill it, you know, demand, but. Like, he sat himself up there. Now, if they got thrown in a bad run, the media are going to hit back and various people in the media are going to, like, just let the, what's happening on the pitch deal to talk. There's no need for it. But it's not nice to see him getting a bit spiky with him at times, because he can't seem to be very. I don't like the way he is with the media. I don't like referring to Liverpool manager to be Kenny, he's still a belligerent fucker. Like, you know what I mean? No, okay, Kenny had been part of that time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But. That's fantastic. You know, he has, he has, um, he's a bluish, you know, and it's contractual. He has to come out and say that speaks on much, you know, with all the football deals and everything has to come out and talk to them. So, you know, just come out and say a bit and just step away from them. Yeah. There's no point in there going, you know what I mean? And at the end of the day, no matter what happens, at the end of the season, we're going to be pissed off. Mm-hmm. Because if we finish outside the top four, we'd be looking at the start of the season when Rodgers was so stubborn not to change things and they would eventually don't. If we do finish part, we'd be wondering why we're not challenged. You're saying that? Because if you had to do this, if you had to realize that sticking a fucking static cabbage up top was the way Liverpool were going to have success this season. You know what I mean? Thank you, Tom. [LAUGHTER] Oh, yeah. [LAUGHTER] What was that? No, it was absolutely ridiculous. And, I mean, it's probably going to benefit them. Like, if he's Liverpool manager for the next ten years, this season will have benefit them hugely. Fair enough. Because at least he's not going to go off the script again. Fair enough. Let's look at one or two of more positive things that came out of the match for all the sort of talk about tiredness and all the rest of it. We had a moment of just sublime genius right from Phil Keatingo. That goal is a thing to treasure. Yeah. It's not a bad way to show someone who's toured and needs a rest, is it? Well, exactly. Yeah. Yeah. He's player this season for me. He toured. I don't care. He's still that broids back. That, you know, that go-to player that you think something might happen. I feel this final bars were poor, but what a streak. What a streak. As you watched the match evolve, it did look a little bit like it was kind of people trying to force an agenda on the things that weren't a bit tiredness. Because he did just keep going. Yeah. You know? See, Phil? I'd be sorry. I don't know where a standard is toward and a thing. I'd given him a break in Ali's. He's a young fella. And I think he'd be able to cope. Unless the fella literally doesn't run after a football. Then there might be a question there. He's going to have as the famous lens peaks and troughs. Yeah. Shall we say? Yeah. Phil loves that one, so I'm just tired travelling in. Yeah, so I can actually... He's still the go-to man for me, and they'd be probably fours named under team shape for me everywhere. Yeah. I thought he looked hard. I didn't look genuine. I think he's not in the form he was, say, four or four years ago. But the strike is... Look, when he hits that, as Andy says, when we were talking about stuff over Christmas time, it was saying, we don't want him to score too many one-doors in the process. You know, how Ryan Madrid sniff them, because he is that good, like, you know what I mean? One of 10 teams was going to happen there. Nine times he was going to hit it, and it was going to go like a draggy fucking thing across the thing. But he hits it so sweetly. And when it lifts his foot, I don't think there's any one of us here that isn't taking. Whoa! Whoa! And then when you see the dip happening, you're like, "Whoa!" And then it's just in the fucking top corner. I was like, "Faster's a big lad." That's the best part about it, actually. He's 17. He's pretty tall. He's like, "Faster's a big lad." He can't get you out. It's gone over him. It's just a bum. I love that. And after you understood, it's extra for you. It's always... I love that. It's lovely. And it was just such a... It was a great way to start the game, because if you think about it, if we don't get that goal, the way we played in that fourth half, you know what I mean? You would have felt so, so it'll have to. You know what I mean? Because it was just that thing, at least you were holding onto one of the lead early doors, it set your stall out. You're not trying to scrabble away in the second half or trying to force issues when there was a bit... There was visible towardness out there, because there was the game on towards it. It's a valid thing. The Europa League. Teams looked toward with the exception of Everton who did well against Leicester. Well, it dressed up as a Coutinho specifically there. That went over him inside. It dressed up as a Coutinho. We had the fabulous name Batdog, who wonders when Coutinho was going to get his expenses paid trip to Jamaica, just like Raheem did. Well, you would be able to, if Milan was playing anyway well at all, but the fellow mate was not torn up yesterday, he was atrocious again. He hasn't been, since he's come back from injury, I don't think Milan has been anywhere near as good as he was before injury. I think he struggled again yesterday. You know, I would have taken Milan off and moved Markovic and put Moreno in at left back because I think Markovic would have offered us more there. I don't know what Milan is bringing. To me, there was a hint of sentimentality in terms of him playing. But you look at Coutinho, even if he's tired, he's coming up with the goals. You know what I mean? I know he mightn't be at the level he was four or five games ago, but if you can do that, it's like, as I said, with storage, it doesn't matter what you do. You can have a shit in the pitch if you want. It's just once he's bashing in a goal. If you're bashing a goal from 24 yards into the top corner, fucking ground go off and sit down and sit in the bench if you want to have a rest and have a drink. You just got a few minutes go there. You got your blue pen out instead. You know, like some sort of editor-in-chief, putting lines through my script here. I have to say, it's a bit annoying. But if you use the black pen, it would be alright. We'll end up new lines. He has made up new lines. I had to even read them. I don't know. What's that say? Yeah. Two parisets a demand. Two parisets a demand. Two parisets a demand. Three times a day. Three times a day. I go to bed. I just want to pick you up one thing there. You mentioned about Danny Sturridge. The only thing I want is just a fleeting mention. I didn't want to bring it up. You know, you talk about it. Gold's out, man. Gold's out, man. Gold's out. That was by the telly. Everyone'd be all met. This is my point. You're like totally free pass. But yeah. And deserves it, right? Yeah. Yeah. No issue with that? No, because he scores goals. We know that he's gone to score goals. He's still feeding his way back after 178 years out injured. You know what I mean? He scores goals. He scores goals. He scores goals. He scores goals. He scores goals. He will score goals. Whatever people talk about the greediness. I don't give a shit. We haven't always greed. He's a gold scorer. That's what gold scorers do. He's trying to find the gold. The gold will eventually come. And then he'll score 100 goals. You know what I mean? He'll score 100 goals in about 10 minutes. So there's no worries there. Well, you know, just... I do think that, like, you know, we don't have Suarez there. He's got a magic a few chances for himself every match. Like, it didn't matter what anyone else did. Like, Suarez was always gonna make chances for himself. So I think there is a bit of a finer point than with storage this season. That he does have to use a ball a bit better. And he is capable of it. Like, and I just think there was one in both... In both Pacificas and the Southampton game. Where he basically did the same thing. Where he kind of... He owns his whole defence and then balls it up by making the wrong decision. When there's other people in the box that you could have squared it to. But I think that comes... Like I said, he gets a couple of goals under the belt. And he feels like every time he touches the body he's gone to score. He becomes freer in terms of the balls he lays off and the passes that he makes. At the moment he's searching for that goal to get him back on a goal score and run again. So, look... And I thought you could have done more after ball as well. I know he gets a free pass and he can shoot in the penalty spot if you want. But I try to end... I don't know. I wasn't in Gary Lane again. I do think that, like... Yeah, I think we're entirely expecting a bit more from him. Yeah, fair enough. Actually, another man that needs a bit of a mention is our goalkeeper. I'm pretty impressive performance, I think. And it seems to be now a trend, which is nice to see. Yeah. No, I was thinking there. Is he one of those lads there? Yeah, but that board that was on Big Brother years ago. Do you remember when she went viral where we were sitting in the chair just screaming, "Who is he? Who is she?" I went like that and I went mingling. "Who is he?" Yeah. "Who is this fella?" I wrote him off only a few months back and it's an unknown person there to me. And I was thinking this up-torn inform is a glitch. And he was just going to drop back to the norm of Jesus Christi shooting me up. Big twin. He ever told you early around in government. I was going to say, "Hey, I'm here I am again, but I have no problem doing it." Yeah. He's fucking playing brilliant. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Big brother references. Really? It's really... It's really... ...that word over it. Yeah. Celebrity firm! I believe it. Now, what really is it, Jacqueline Hoyard? You know, he's completely different from... He's like the hair was, you know, before Christmas, like, you know what I mean? Like, he's unbelievable now. And if he was having the season, he's having now at the start. Like, people you were raving about. You know, like, it was a couple of months. Yes, there wasn't a... God, you wouldn't? Yeah, he came out around the six yard box. He got nowhere near the ball in the fella. Which I haven't seen. You don't remember that now? There's another one that kind of slipped up off his hands. I think it looked like he tried to catch it in the flow back up in the air as well. And then he didn't handle it out so he had the box down. Ah, listen. For me, it's sexual goalkeeper. Right, there is. Yeah. It's horny stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Fifty shades of England. That is, yeah. There's definitely a hint of us in MR for my time. It's not me. He's locking it down. He's locking the defence down. He's got us out with jail again, yes. They got us out of jail against Bessictus. Got us out of jail against Crystal Palace. Listen. I love them coming out of the box that time. It's just, it's great. Sexual goalkeeper. It's like, it was... It's not fair crosses. He's getting punches. He's doing everything we wanted him to do. He's commanding his area of what you wanted him to do. His kicking still isn't great at all. You hit the low shot, the bounce just in front of us. That's free. That's nice. That's a love straight down. Yeah. Ah, beautiful. Love that. It's brand-new. It's important. It's important. Yeah. He's just electric. He's been doing this for weeks as well. And it's still surprising every time you say it. Because when you saw the absolute stage earlier in the season where he couldn't do it. And that where he let the ball, was it against? Poorly, was it where he let the ball go? Even he talked about that in the interview. He kind of said, well, that was the moment that made me kind of... I'm like, fuck it, they owe me life here. Every week he's just doing this now. Look where you're sort of waiting for it. Is he going to crash now and go back to what he was doing before? But there's no sign that it's match winning saves that he's doing. Even the bit where he handled it outside the box. I thought he was unlucky with that. It was chess for us while he was inside the box. He was straight. I was like bailing himself again. If this farm keeps up to the end of the season, we still looking at the keeper. No, no, no, no, no. We get Mrs. Minilay on the payroll. As a new goalkeeper culture. I still think we are. Like, you know... Has there a placement for him? Well, the second goal is competition. I mean, this could happen again. You have to put Brad Jones. Yeah, no, no. No, no, no. But it's kind of like the replay. Until the end of the season, we'll be coy happy with him to take the number one spot next season. You know, he's... He has the look that fellow is into a bit less than him. Fuckin' hell, can we? Can we finish the review there? That's it. What was the story? It was nice. Fuck's sake. You can't see it in the mask. Mrs. Minilay, I was on that bit of farm after the bashing of a frying pan. She's obviously given to my son's stage in his life. Stop letting the ball roll, but don't do that. Get down the basement. Get down the table. Stop stalking the game. Stop stalking. Stop stalking. Okay, let's look forward to the games coming up in the next week. We've got the second leg away at Bishiktas. And then we've got City in Anfield. I suppose we'll... Yeah, we're gonna ring the out of torque this week. Yeah, it's not ring the out of torque this week. But we should pay a little bit more attention. We didn't speak in much detail at all in the review of the first leg. Let's take a look for us at the European game. Phil, are you optimistic with the... I suppose the main thing was, was it not that we managed to keep them from scoring? That's a huge deal. Would you be optimistic? No, no, they have to come out. Yeah. Against us. Yeah, yeah. They have to score against us. So it should be... It depends on what team he takes with the City game on the horizon. But you're back to this. You know, Europa gives us a chance of champions league. We have to wait. If we get a result against City, we improve our chances of getting it through the league. So you have to weigh up that. This is kind of making a box for your argument before though, is it? No, no, no. Is it just the same thing? No, there's enough players there to be able to move and question things up. So it shouldn't. Once you're picking the right players. Well, let's leave the... Let's park that. We're talking about selection. Talk to me about, you know, just the game and take the game on its merit stuff. No! No, I just want to tell you, Jack. No, I think, you know, going out there, it'll be a good experience for the players who haven't experienced like the Turkish away matches in terms of the atmosphere and the holdout. And the sickness of Laura, they take a process to try and get a full deal. They crammed a 72 in. Yeah, Andy was on last week. They were offended by the hold. They wanted to make it a welcome to hell for the lads. You know, as I said, I thought it was brilliant in the fourth leg. I'd imagine if he starts again, he'll get a lot more freedom out there because they'll have to open up the wing. There were double teaming and an awful lot, and I'm fear because we were able to sit back and he was getting so much joy against your man, all the choice that he didn't. Your man couldn't deal with him at all. And we get the penalty through him as well. I think we've got every ability to go out there and score a couple of goals, which is good. Because even if they get one, I think we should be... But yeah, once we get the away goal, I think we'll see the 12. Paul, do you think one goal will be enough for us to get through? Like the way we've been going, you can't see us conceding too much. Yeah, I definitely think so. And I think, for sure, that's where they looked like they were really looking for a clean sheet out there on the field leg as well. Yeah. And we kind of, we fucked that up for them at the end, which is great. But yeah, they did look really well drilled, but I don't think they looked like they had many ideas other than that. I think we can properly sit back and hit these on the counter. And we sure, I think we can put them to bed. There's a couple of nice little things working in our favour in terms of the run and their mental state as well, apparently they've just fallen off the top of the league. And there's rumours about Demba Bar having a bit of a calf injury. So a few things mountain up there that might make them less than being confident, I guess. Ray, you, as optimistic as the two lads gone out there, do you think we're going to see this one through? Yeah. I'm probably an area saying that's back onto my beat also. Yeah. Frick, I think. Yeah, so it was impressed with it. The number seven, Torrey, Golcan Torrey, so it was named. He looked decent. I mean, Bar did go trade one and one there on one stage. I think they're decent now. Very good. Very good. And you could have done with that, doing that last fucking many, couldn't he? Same situation. And we won't go into that. I'm still having nightmares. And yeah, I don't, I think it's going to be a tough game. They look well or far away. I don't think it's going to be any, any easy thing. And the atmosphere is going to be intense. Like Phil says, some of the players won't have dealt with anything like this. Yeah. There were a noisy bunch of bastards the last time I seen them playing in Europe. Yeah. And so it'll be an intense atmosphere. I think it's going to be really, really toy. Well, hopefully we can scrape it. It's a scraper nail nail. And that'll do us, you know? Addi might as well get us talking on the idea of what we, you think we're going to look like Phil was touching on earlier on. We'll get there and have straightaway. So can you bring us on to that part of it? How do you see, or what would you like to see the team looking like for the match against Bishik does? Yeah. Well, I don't know what he's going to do. It's just, it's going to get a little bit unpredictable at the moment, you know? But maybe now, Raj as you might just start to stick with the weekend. You know, and then tweak it. Yes. And Sunday. What would I like? It's like Suarez back. I think this is going to be a monster of a game. It's going to be just, it's going to be a huge mental test. You know, as Ray says, the atmosphere there, we're torn to the after talk and all that. So it's going to be, it's going to be a huge test. Ten years. And then get to, get to halftime where we can see it and then okay. Just, you know, go on and hopefully get the drive, you know, it's scar drop, you're perfect, you know? But, but the amount of clean sheets we're getting lately, you know, just keep it tight over and don't want it stupid. But as regards to team, I wouldn't even like to pick the team yourself, you know? Well, what about this thing about the way it does seem to be, it's his inclination to go towards minimal rotation. That seems to be the case. Yeah. He has his personality, he wants to play. And generally, like he has a pecking order of players that in his head, he'll change things around just to see players as opposed to, as they're just putting the replace and whoever's for that position, you know what I mean? Most rotation as far as the knocker, you know, somebody's just, just hasn't been performing and training during the week. He hasn't got an idea in his head who he plays in Europe. So I think we might actually might see Torre back. I think that's likely because he won't play against C. I think he won't tackle and Jan and Skirtle and all possible. So we play, you play anyone at the back, Skirtle definitely play, which is to protect, protect that tree that he won't back on Sunday. I feel it's going to be quite revealing as to where it is on his priority list when we see the team just named. Yeah. Yeah. I was surprised at the team that he named last week. I was delighted when I saw it, because it was a very strong side. I think we'll see now who is the lead man between Maricovitch and Oib for the Roy Flank. I'd mix it up a bit. I'd like to see Maricovitch and Oib come in as the Roy Flank, because I think it would be the idea for setting up as a counter attack. I'd like to see Torre back in the side as well. Rest. Well, the sack goes out, so you can move around and even push Chan into midfield for this match just to give us that stronger platform in midfield, just to see what it's like alongside Henderson. Or even leave Henderson out for this game and play Chan alongside Adam, because I think for all of, I think Henderson's been very average this season. I think he's gotten praised when it's been due, but I think there's been an awful lot of games that have gone past him as well, where he's been not poor, but just normal. Do you know what I mean? Do you think this is a system? It was only saying that. Do you think this is what happened in the midfield? No, I think he's been a victim in a way that the midfield has chapped and changed, so he hasn't had a chance to build a proper partnership with one player for long. And it looked like he was getting up with Lucas and then Lucas got injured. So now he's trying to build one with Alan. Do you know what I mean? And then the question is, do you leave him in and turn him out while he's trying to play? I think Charlie had a fine game at the weekend. Genuinely, I know a lot of people would think the other way around, but that was just my take and I thought he did an awful lot of running on a tired Henderson, took him a world to get into the game. So it wouldn't bother me too much. And then maybe if they gave the Iron Band to Chan as well, that would be great. Because you see, he's a natural leader in terms of what he is. You couldn't even see it after the penalty. He's leading the charge and he's making sure after all the shit that went on, everyone gets in and we're still together and we're still a team and we're going to see this as a team. And then Balotelli, I'll bring him in. I'll bring him in for this game. Do you close up? I'll bring him in for storage. I think the more gold storage gets, the better. And then you're looking at, for me, potentially you play Mark, which behind them is, or you play Sterling behind them and look to maybe just do something like that and get it. It wouldn't surprise me to see Sterling, Balotelli and Storage start to give the Marone a hit a city at the weekend and start with that tree up front against the city at the weekend, just to give something to think about. I think Storage plays better with an out and out forward alongside him. That's just my own personal view. I think his best games came when he had Suarez alongside him because it gives the opposition, gives him more space against the actual, the opposition, there's actually against the opposition. And Paul, over an actual question. He tried to keep Sterling open on there. Yeah, he did. You know what I mean? For the criticism Balotelli gets, I think when he comes on it allows, in a way, the way Storage played last year with Suarez, that Balotelli looks to drop off and not play as the central striker, but because he's there, one of the centre backs has to come with him. So it just creates a bit more space around what's going on. And then Balotelli will get in and support. And I think Balotelli looks a better player with Storage and I think Storage gets more as when he's on the pitch. But you've initially talked about playing them instead of there in your team? Well, yeah, when I was playing them instead of Coutinho. Oh, because you had said Storage. Because I was saying Storage, Sterling, and Balotelli are Markovitch inside of Sterling if you wanted to be Sterling ahead of the weekend because he did start the front of his own. But I'd like to see him. We worry about messing with the system. I'm getting to that stage now where after giving so much stick to the system now with that only toy per change. I'm worried about it. For me, it's not really changing the system. It's just rearranging how the front tree line out. So instead of having two wide forwards, you have one sort of central number ten and then you have two. And the two of them, you could see him with Storage and Balotelli. Both of them have a natural inclination to drift out of the way. And staring loose to bum through the centre. So it works. In my mind that works. So I don't see... You've got to be wrong with changing the system in this situation. Like, Rodgers hasn't been in this situation enough lately. He likes to play the same system once it works. But you're going away and you only need to draw. And you know what I mean? Yeah, fair enough. Paul, let's move on to the Man City game. To give credit to the manager where he's due. One of the big changes to the weekend was to bring on the rain on. He did have a massive impact on the match. I thought when he came on, he's a guy who liked seeing the starting 11th against City. And he matched that you really want to win. And that would include Thursday night. So has he done enough for you to be kind of cemented in there and have to start? I would like to see a bit of rotation against the shifter. But he's one of the players that I put in both games. And if you were going to rotate it, you were waiting in order to keep someone like Coutinho on himself. Yeah, I wouldn't bring Coutinho to Turkey at all. I'm one of those lads who kidnapped. I think I'm one of the lads in that party. Like, he's still put in plenty of effort. But I think the way he was running he looked dead in his feet towards the end against Southampton. And I'd leave him out of the game in Turkey altogether. I would probably start Sterling in the bench as well. Because I wanted to turn him straight back in with storage I do against City. He gives a real chance. Yeah. Yeah, so good. And obviously I think Zack was probably going to miss the game during the week. I'd bring in Torre and Lovren with Skirl. I'd probably rest Chan. I'd put him on the bench against Bishik. That's to give him a rest. And as someone that we can bring on, if it's going to hit up, like if we need a bit more agility at the back, we're going to throw him in. Or if we need something in mid-field, we could bring him in as well. Yeah. Last word in this, Andy, if you want to go on it, what do you want? No, just I think Chan is just the way he's playing at the moment. It's just that I can't. I wouldn't consider dropping on it. I don't think he's vital. You don't think he's in the sense of the year? Fuck you, sir. But in terms of those players like Sterling and Coutinho, you're worried about them. Where is like Chan's going to lap this up? Yeah. Yeah. Right, look, we did our usual complete lack of respect to the opposition, really, in terms of talking about them and how they might work on it. It seems to work for us, so let's just continue doing that. So, we'll just move it straight to where it needs to go. I suppose, unless anyone's fighting, particularly the ones saying, "I think I'm on silly special thoughts that they will die." Yeah. I think the city can be got it. Go on. I think they've shown defensive weakness. The only worry is that, yeah, yeah, tour is back for them. They look at different propositions. He's not playing tomorrow, no, is he? No, no, no. He's on a suspension, I think. Yeah, so he'd be fresh for the weekend. So, he'd be fresh for the weekend. Yeah, no, no, no. Boy, you know, our city fans, and they give out about tour. They're saying, you know, at times he looks lazy on the pitch, but he definitely has a galvanizing effect for them. His best player. In terms of what he's there. You're seeing how differently we're at the weekend when he came in. You've got a whereo, they've got so much talent up front. We're going to have to be on our absolute best, because the city looked like they were about to start their own, which pipped us last year. Mm-hmm. They look like a team that now have the bit between the teeth to go and get Chelsea, and will give it everything they can. Company bizarrely has had a poor season for them. You know, if any city fan does say to you, you know, company hasn't been anywhere near the levels he's been at for the last two seasons. Mm-hmm. And that's my thinking on playing the two up front against them. If they depend on who they play at the back, both, you know, I think we need to occupy them as much. And Troy always to lay storage and company as best we possibly can, because if he made the mistake last year, that continue to score the winner. So, you know, get in, get in and disrupt them, and hopefully he makes another mistake and we can profit off the back of it. And they've got so much, look, city has such a strong squad, such a, you know, they are what they are. They are underperforming for the players that they actually have, that they have. So, um, it's just, it's such a big ask. It's such, you know, and as games go, given the way all those other games have been lined up for us and we're nearly almost wins, this is the first one where we'll go into this game as wonderdogs. But also talk about, you know, what you were chatting about earlier, what I was talking about with his theory as well, is it not kind of a little bit of a free one? Consider it, you know. There is that element, but as I said, that takes the pressure off. So, you know, for the first time in a long time, the team will go in, not, you know, want them to win, want them to put a marker down and keep, you know, make profit on any slip ups that happen. But know that they aren't expected to win this game. So that, you know, they won't go in as favourites, and they'll be there to prove a point that they should, you know, poor side to side, they are now the best team in the league and they want, they want to show it to the best team in the league. And what better way to deal with them than stuff the reigning champions at home? Like, you know what I mean? So, you know, I think it's a massive ask. It's the same as when we go to play Chelsea. It's a massive ask. You've got two tactically astute managers there. They're going to have a, they're going to have a set game plan to go up against their tree or whatever it is. And Pellegrini is definitely going to look at it. He'll probably play two or front or maybe even at silver after, but you know what I mean? To tri-occupy all-tree defenders and create spaces around the side. So it's a fascinating way to see how much Brendan has come on in terms of how he's going to react. Does he change the system? What does he do? It's known that he's going up against it. And we can't underestimate it. We can't just disrespect him and not talk about them because the reigning champions, they've got all the firepower in the world. And if we had a player like Aguero, we'd be fucking a lot higher in the league than we are at the moment. Yeah, just, yeah, but just the, the fucking shit hot. I'm watching Jack O's goal there the other day as well. This will be an ultimate test for that backloin, you know. And two things, the one from this week. And one is that bass is torn up the heat and the old-scale bass and man said, yeah, chasing fucking shadows for 90 other minutes and coming into the inbox and second off, I'm hoping Andy's going to polish up that injury machine and they kick up a hill tomorrow night as well. Because I'll take anyway and get it, you know what I mean? Maybe there was a few back pairs now. Come the weekend, I'll be happy with that one. It's also been nice to have Mr. Stack over. We don't know if that's going to be a reality or not. Okay, well, look, let's go round the table and get a few predictions for the game. Just start with the European one, Paul, how do you see that one? Er, no lah. No lah, so we, you see us go through. Yeah. Okay, nice one, right? Yeah, it would be the same point. I'm racking a nail nail, a doggy for you nail nail. Katie, no lah. No, one one. One one draw for you. I think we'll win this out in their place. Maybe one, maybe two. Phil. Classic European away toy with wheels. Two one go, two one away goals. Don't do. Don't do. Okay, Paul, that to you for the city match. Two one to us. Two one to us. Okay. That's, that's, hold like now. That's what I was going to say. Okay, okay, okay. Right. Yeah, I think a draw too well. Despite down being shit out and all the rest of it. Yeah, too well. They just think, yeah, too well. Nice one, Andy. Yeah, I don't think right on a little. So I think it's, I think we're as good as them at the moment as a team. Obviously, they've lost a daddy players. But two two for me as well. Two two for you. Be denied with them two draws, you know. Yeah. Because they're born need to fall on week and they just get things going again. Yeah, well, that's the thing. We're born on Wednesday and then we've been matched to fall on Sunday. Yeah, I think, I think this might be one of the ones we're going to have to forget about. Personally, I don't, I don't say it well. Phil. As the wine stand one said, if those, if football doesn't cause hair break, it's not football. Einstein did say that. Yeah. It was after he watched the cup final. Yeah. Yeah. Just before he started talking about in Sunday. Yeah, he's terrible. Yeah, he's terrible. He's crazy. Oh, he's crazy. Oh, he's crazy. I was like them down. Yeah. I think just I'm saying, I love them. I love them. I know. I know. It's only the other time. Can't speak. Here's one of the ads I forgot about. Yeah. Yeah. He invented Facebook. Go on then. Finish it out. I can't see us when. You can't see us when. I think there'll be hair, there'll be hair break involved in this game somewhere. He's a pack of wangers. There'll be either like a scaldy, two-all draw or one-all draw. That'll scar in the last minute fucking og or something. Somebody sent on to shore up the defence. And he'll stroll along and fall over and knock the bar. That's a beautifully downbeat way to hear. Well, it happens all the fucking coin against it. You remember "Scared"? We were in the fourth season. I'll just play this ball here to Tevez. Mm-hmm. The fella in blue. Right? Yeah. Him and Ryan at the other side as well. Yeah. I'm going for a walk here, lads. All right. Grant, see you later on. And I'll get out and pops it in from behind the goal. There's a noise hockey goal. So, I'll sprawl it right then. I think there's a positive tripper, isn't it? Look, man. I am Lujware. You are listening to Trippin's chat. With Trippin. Okay. Let's take a few of the questions that came in from listeners. So, we start off with a man whose question caused a bit of consternation last week. Nick Wall. Nick has an either/or for you. Would you prefer Martin and Quinn commentating? Or would you prefer to sit through Genus and film Neville's analysis for the game? Which pair would you take? Obviously, if you were to take all four, you might fucking die. So, which pair would you prefer? I'd probably go for Neville. And who was the other one, Genus? Neville and Genus, yeah. No, no, no. No, no. Genus, be injured. What happened to John Martin from being the premier commentator? He's just so bad, Nick. It's like, what happened with Jimmy McGee? He hasn't. He hasn't. Look at that. What happened with Jimmy McGee? He peepers. He's not. Years ago, it was our right to be like he was. He hasn't come on, Nick. Is that what you're talking about? He doesn't speak like Martin football anymore, Nick. Yeah. He still stuck, like, when, you know... Be like if Jimmy Hill fucking... Yeah. John Martin hasn't got the foggiest idea of what's happening in front of you. No. That's my guy. He's just always shows. Did you see the Crystal Palace thing? They nearly scored again last minute. Who were they playing the other day? They hit the wholesome. They hit it on the last minute. And, like, I mean, he literally goes, "Oh, and it's got it. And where's the ball going?" The keeper is obviously just grabbed at you fucking up. "And where's it gone?" He just hasn't a fucking foot, an idea of what's going on in the game. He's just reacting it with noises. Yeah. Honestly, I'm not picking Phil Neville, really. He's a picking Martin over Phil Neville. Well, seriously. I see where you're going with this. The youngs are using Phil Neville audio in fucking Guantanamo Bay. Are you fucking joking me? I fucking have Martin and he fucking day. I'm an oil queen. He could talk about Horland. If I don't ever talk about, "No, I cannot listen to Phil Neville." You could just... You could just... No, no. No, no. Oh, you'd rather stand at the door listening to Jehovah's Witnesses. (Laughter) For an hour. (Laughter) Oh, fuck it. (Laughter) Today, you know. (Laughter) There's a knock at the door, right? I mean, at least if it's an air-trestly air-trestly air-trestly air-trestly. (Laughter) The decency to say, "How you doing?" Like, you know, "Oh, I'm happy with your electricity contract." Not yet. Straight into the point. Yeah. Whereas they slog up, like, in the clue. It's just some board-like standing there, you know. All right. (Laughter) No money, is it? (Laughter) How are you keeping? (Laughter) A grand? How are you? Good, good, good. Nice day. Be cold. I was like, "What the fuck is it? Have you seen this leaflet?" (Laughter) Sorry, sir. Yeah, no. Give us a look at it. So I looked at this leaflet. And I couldn't have to pause there. Where can we find the answers to them? Those biggest questions. And there's an app. (Laughter) If you should have given our leaflet a podcast, then you're going all the way beside the hill. But then I flew, but I was right. 'Cause I still haven't figured out, like, who is it? What's going on? And I see JW.org. But, you know, anything.org straightaway, dodgy. (Laughter) So we should have straightaway.org. And she went, "Huh?" (Laughter) JW.org. Did you have your tin foil on? (Laughter) That's our arms flopin' real room. (Laughter) Right, okay. It's all hard. What? It's all hard. (Laughter) I heard she was wondering if you formed a rock band made up of football managers who'd be in it. What instruments would they play? Any suggestions here? I probably have Neil Warner 'cause the front man. 'Cause they're the ones that choke in their own format. (Laughter) So... It looks a bit like Nuddy Holders, well. You wanna focus on that? (Laughter) Slade. Oh, yeah! (Laughter) Jeez, I start to show, actually, isn't it? (Laughter) Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Any other suggestions? Don't do it. Don't do it. (Laughter) Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. (Laughter) Don't do it. That was a great way. The best part is when we go up to the very period. I was trying to get up to this fucking thing for ages. And knowing the shit out to the world. He's flushing his four-year-olds. Come on, come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. It's fucking short. There's not even a bar. No, no. You want to go up to the club? She said, I pulled your arms, holes. Go up if you want to go up there. Thanks a little bit. I know she wants to go up there. So over the stairs we go, like, and get to the top. And it's already working on our foot. This, like, go back and forth. No bar. It's just a corner. Like, they all talk to it. It's absolutely there. Okay. We made the most of it. Go around the people. Just say there's a block on the board. I have a couple of boards. I have a couple of lines. I'm like, what's the story? Branchy and herself. I think there's so many to work. The one of them looks nice. Look at that. And there's like, do you know how many hoodies he saw today? What else are they called as they were picked up? We don't call the hoodies. Yeah, well, we call the hoodies all the boys section, right? We are in section 7G hoodies all the way. Because he's all six hoodies today. How many hoodies is that? What do you call them? What do you call them? How many do you just have? Oh, there you go. Six hoodies here. Next. Some probably, like, trying to be dead cell. Like, it's where you have to break it in, you know, on major celebrity fucking VIP, you know, and she has this lads. I know he's just acting a magnet up here. Like, but just, you can stay here. No problem. No problem. You can stay here. I won't say anything. Just behave ourselves. Okay. Okay. Like, she was the one's the biggest favor in the world. Here, I listen all the times. You're a fucking saint. How many of you did you think you said? We don't call them hoodies. Yeah. Did you find it? What did they call them? What did they call them? A column from Ireland. Can you hear me? A sweatshirt with a hood? Yeah, we don't, we don't, we don't have them in Ireland. We don't have them in Ireland. We're getting this week, but we don't have a name. What do you call them in America? What do you call a sweatshirt with a hood? Finish as always with some admin. And we'll finish as always with a shed for Astro Park. If you want to play football and double and book your pitch time at Astro Park, there's a new We Are Liverpool available at all the home games. It'll be there. Neil and his helpers will be selling at the ground. And you can buy it at weareliverpool.com for virtually no money, considering how excellent it is. We want to mention a group called Home Fans. They're on Twitter @homefan support. And their website is homefanz.net. They're a group who are offering to host accommodation for football fans across the world. And they're looking for hosts, host families and people in Liverpool to get involved. So if you do want to get involved with that, you can contact them homefanz.net.
