We're LFC day trippers, and we've been invited here. Thanks to Cy and YNWA Irish Reds. We're going to interrupt your post-gettin' pissed for a little while. Feel free to keep getting pissed and join in as well if you could. Look, it's not going to be too long. We'll keep it short. You can have as much of a moan as you want. Charlie's going to moan. I know that. We'll just keep moaning. Okay, so let's have a look at the chat. What happened there today? First of all, we should start by wishing a big happy 40th birthday to Steven, apparently. [applause] You're going to do the winner trip. Good stuff. What we're going to do is we're going to have a little bit of a review of the match in general. We have day winners. We have Cy, you all know, you know, Cy. We have Dave Thomas. We have Neil Gray who's got his back. He wears brilliant hair. We've got Phil Casey and we've got Charlie. Hello, Charlie. So, can we have a little chat starting first with Phil Casey? The first question, we're going to go to a question first, Phil. We'll come back to them. The question is, Phil, what the fuck can you say? [laughter] I think it was a game that showed character. A game that showed character. What do I have to say? Phil, would you mind actually talking about the match we saw there? For a good man? No. Fairness, right? You know, we all saw what happened today, right? I don't like what happened. Normally, we have about 48 hours before I have to gather my thoughts and talk about these things, but this is horrible. This is horrible. This is one of these moments that if you go back to two seasons and you think about Kenny and everything that went on the second half of that season, the feelings that we have as fans now starting to drift towards that way, we aren't performing as an attacking force. We're performing poorly as a defensive force. The midfield was non-existent today. If you want to take everything out of that game, there's very few positives. Normally, we talk about what were the positives for the match. I'm struggling to find a positive out of today's game. I really am. It's really a cocktail process. Okay. Cheer today. Let me come out. All right, well done. Dave. One of the things that's really apparent, Dave, is that our tactics are a little bit funny. They're a little bit funny. And Brendan's a little bit, shall we say, with something that doesn't seem to work. What do you think it is? 4, 2, 3, 1, thing. Well, it didn't work. As you said, it was terrible. It doesn't suit any single player we have. So it makes Jared look old and slow. It makes Bharatelli look... Hang on a minute. The system makes it to the slow. I'm not saying he is old and slow. I'm saying the system makes him look old and slow. Whereas last season, when we played him as a deep line in the field during the diamond, he looked great. Yeah. Which is where we should play. Bharatelli can't play as one up top. Jeez. Sterling can't play as a winger. We're going to see how many boos I can get. Sterling can't play as a winger. You know, he plays better as the number 10. So it just doesn't suit the system. And he seems a little entrenched at the moment in the 4, 2, 3, 1. We should be playing 4, 3, 3, or the diamond with two up top. And we should have started with Bharini today. Great. The ones that all the boos you got at you. Sorry. Sorry. Could you maybe elaborate a little bit more, Dave, said... Why does he... Why does he persist with this thing that we see doesn't work? Everyone can see it. Oh, the one thing I've noticed in the last couple of games since we can start continuing goals. The last two or three games. It seems to me that he's starting to sign. We'll sit back for the 4, 40, 50 minutes. Don't continue 'cause we're continuing goals. They've got to accept pieces and something like that. So to me today, again, it looks like after 40, 50 minutes, come the second half, we'll have a goal. We'll open up a bit more at the back. Open up again, but it's a silly mistake to give the goal away. But the big thing the 4's have for me was that with Glenn Johnson, Lovren and Skyrl at the back, he's playing three at the back and Moreno's pushing on. Outward left. Open, how was the danger in the 4's, 50 and 20 minutes? And he was buoyed open at the back. Moreno was buoyed open at the back on his own. Unfortunately, we all know. Stephen Jarrah's going to the end of the day. Where... Boo... Say... Boo... Boo... If you're honest... No... No... If you're honest... If you're honest... If you're honest... Say... If you're honest... If you're honest, put your hand on your heart. This time next year, Stephen Jarrah's looking at the end of his career. If you're honest, this time next year. See, you've got to wrap him up in court mode. To certain games... Wait, we'll just give you no opinions. Certain games will suit and certain games won't. Certain games, new castle, the biggest strength that they have, is the central midfield. The big units that they are, the overrun teams, the last three or four games, the wound games. Today... Henderson is now authorities as well. Today, that's not fucking picking up for anybody else. Stephen Jarrah hasn't got the legs to play the role that he has. All you take is still his best strength is... the attack on midfield role. 15, 20 minutes of a game, an impact player. That's the way they get the best of Jarrah. That's the way we all see him when he played with Palatelli up front. For the last game, I think it was... The villain. The last 15, 20 minutes, he went to front with Palatelli. Palatelli looked a different player. 'Cause he had someone that was in sync with him. The same with Stephen Jarrah played with front with Torres as well. That's why we had to be looking at... We had to be looking at Leith after Stephen Jarrah, to give him someone else a chance, and that's why we brought Emily Chan and Chanah sitting on the bench to Leith. Yeah! Charlie! Charlie! Hi! Stephen Jarrah, impact's up. Discuss. Yeah. Let's be honest with you. Is there much to us? No, no, no. Yes, please. Take him. Take him. Take him. Well, you're not gonna like what I've got to say then. It's welcome. It's welcome. Let me take a certain line. If we were to win the premiership last season, Stephen Jarrah was a retired, let's get that into our heads, 'cause that's a fact. Impact's up. At the end of the season, if Stephen Jarrah had been there, it was welcome for the extension of his contracts, which is fair enough. But that's what he needs to be. He needs to be an impact's up. He hasn't got the legs. He's 34. He's been playing for Leith for the past 11 years. He's been captain for the past 10 years. And for as much as we love him, you can't be blinded by the fact that he hasn't got the pace. He hasn't got the stamina. Stamina. Stamina. To play in 90 minutes. We can be healthy, hasn't. And Ben's and Roger's needs to be building a team around Staling, Coutinho, the young glads, and saying, "Look, we're going to lose these boys soon." And that's what we need to be doing. So I'm sorry. And I'm a scout session for half of his own again. (LAUGHTER) (APPLAUSE) Oh. (LAUGHTER) I think we... 'Cause... Yeah. Only by your arse. I'm all of them left. Oh, yeah. All right. Hold the ball. Hold the ball. Fuck's sake. Here we go. Oh, look at that. It's amazing. How'd you work that out? Neil. Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil. Yes. Talk to me. Talk to me about someone else's controversial. Talk to me about Glenn Johnson. Glenn Johnson. Oh. Glenn Johnson. Oh. Sorry. Can you hear me? I don't hear. He's under controversy, really. Is there where Glenn Johnson? I mean, he's rubbish. There's... The controversy will be a boy told you that Glenn Johnson is playing particularly well. And he should sign a new contract. So tell me that. He did one good thing today. He just won. One good thing. When he has it that whole... Did he edit it today? That's what he's supposed to do. Yeah. Listen. There's no point in... In my opinion, there's no point in just picking out individual players and naming them as the individual problems. They're not. The problems are run deeper than that. I think one of the biggest problems is Brendan Rodgers' arrogance. Yeah. Yeah. And, well, it was self-belief, but I think it's manifest itself as arrogance now. Why? That sounds very like something you wrote lately. Yeah. And if you want to read more, that's on the website. It's on the website. See, nature is stuck on. No, but honestly, right? He brought in Mario Bell Italian. He taught us this some super coach that was going to turn him into a world leader. It was never going to happen. I disagree. He's trying to shoehorn. He has a formation in mind, and the players have to be shoehorned into that formation rather than the players that are available dictate the tactics. I mean, that's our supposed face, and it's not going to change any time soon. I don't think. OK. Well, you've mutated that a little bit. Scarily. From Johnson. Good point. From Johnson, thanks, mate, from Johnson to Brendan Rodgers. We're going to come back to Brendan Rodgers, because this right here wants to talk about Brendan Rodgers. But we have a question here from Colin. What's wrong? What's wrong? What's wrong? How about Italy? Just on this. Just on this. On this team in Germany, I think, I just hope we don't deal with the same team. He did with Frank Lampard, and selling the last year of his career. Not on that team. You don't go for anyone else? Don't go for Lampard. There's a team for our city. Jenna, I was supposed to do that. He's a scholarship. OK. I hope so. I hope so. I hope so. No, I think what Colin is saying is a relevant point. I think every person in this room does not want to see that Stephen Gerard goes off to a different club in England and plays again. I don't think there's a single person in this room that if Liverpool decided not to offer Stephen Gerard a contract over the next 12 months, and he went off and he played in Germany or Spain or Italy or America or wherever it is, that there isn't a single one of us in here that wouldn't want to see him win a league or win a trophy while he was over there. What we don't want to do is we don't want to see what City did, which is very a player, a boy player, send him off to New York, pretend he's playing for New York City and bring him back and play for Manchester City in the Premier League. That's a fucking joke. And the story, that's a fucking joke. You should be the new defensive coach. That's what Calgary should be doing. Sami Apien needs to stop managing Brighton and come back and be a defensive coach along the way. Because that's what we need, we need a defensive coach. Stephen Gerard won't do that. There's a lot of people saying Stephen Gerard won't do that. At the end of the day, it's not up to him, it's up to the club to swing him for another year's contract. Look, Lampard, he wanted to stay at Chelsea. And he had no choice at the end of the day, so we hope Liverpool will turn around and swing for another year. But if they left for the any state, you went in for them, then right we did not let Stephen Gerard. But the any wouldn't go, so it was Gerard's been down. Another thing on Borini. Borini stayed there because he wanted to play for Liverpool, so we're not giving him a chance. Well he has had a chance this season. He's played two games. Well, it's better more chance for the other season. It's Ballatelio Front. As you can see. It's just a lot Steve. Okay. As you can see, you're going to be a fan. Okay. Whoever's up front, Ballatelio Front, he needs support. Can I just say one thing, right? What do you want to say, Phil? And it is true, Paul, right? When you've lost a match today, everyone's going to have an opinion. Everyone's going to be upset, people are going to be annoyed about what's going on, and we're all going to have our own opinions about what's going on, right? Like Charlie is saying that she feels that Borini has done something. Like Colin has said that Stephen Gerard has put his heart and soul into this club. And people are criticizing the likes of Borini who refuses to take a transfer because he believes he can actually play a part in this season. Now I'm going to say something. Borini came out today and he walked his arse off. He walked his arse off. The minimum that we require from a player for a Liverpool football club is that he goes out and he walks his arse off. Phil, Phil, come straight back at you. You can work your arse off all you like. You have to work your arse off within a certain strip and limits and formations. What is going on with the Brendan Rodgers' insistence on 4-2-3-1? Listen, I think every single person in here has watched us play last year, the last six months with a diamond, where we played with two up front and we played with all the lads that we're playing, right? This season, same as last season for the open till Christmas, we played a 4-2-3-1. It didn't work. For some reason he feels that without Suarez and without storage, he has to go back to this formation to get the best out of Balotelli. Now, it's not for me to say that Brendan Rodgers is wrong. For the moral opinion, Brendan Rodgers is wrong. I think we've come to that portion of the show where we should start talking about what you want to talk about, which is your questions here that you sent up to us on these yellow yolks. The first one, which we don't have to deal with anymore, is how blind is Glenn Johnson. And there are variations on that theme. The next one is, do you think we need to buy another striker in January? And if so, who would you suggest? No. Dave Thomas started us off. Yes, we need to buy another striker. Probably two, right? Who you suggest, Dave? This is a Uruguayan guy, the place for Barcelona. No, I'd go and blow whoever I needed to blow with to get him back, basically. Sorry, seriously. Whatever they talk to get a player like him back, or if you can't get Suarez, I think you go to your vendors and you try and buy Tevez, or you go and try and buy someone who plays like that, because we haven't replaced him and you even need to go and get Suarez light, which is someone like Tevez, or you need to get Sturridge light, which is someone like Berghino, or Béméong, or a place for Dortmund, or something like that. Two strikers, one who plays like Suarez, one who plays like Sturridge, bumlam, but I think Palatale might go as well. Sorry, movie. All he said when Suarez meant the idea was to play from was Tevez. As I was reading in the paper on the way down the coast today, there's only 70% of the good sugars that's out there at all, South America. Whatever you're reading tonight, you may read into it. There's a certain way of playing street football, or whatever you may call it. There's a certain way of playing football. You're never going to replace the losers, Suarez. There was never in the million years where you're going to be able to play a player. But if you're going to sell someone like him, you have to replace someone like for Luke, right? Palatale, everyone can read into Palatale. Everyone can have their own opinion. They will not choose him till he has another player up front, but he's not a direct replacement for Suarez. They can't listen to that twat. Robbie Savage all day, he's given out because Palatale is running out of the pits as the game is kicking off. Everything that's about a telly show, because what is this gone? What's going to happen when Suarez is gone? Palatale is a soy show, Bob. Everyone wants to see what he does. We don't need another striker. We're dealt with that. Landward ain't going to cut the chase. Whatever it is. Caring the board and they're starting for his boy hook club on his shoulders. Obviously, it's getting something to him. He played OK against once he's joined in the week, but he ain't going to get to the goals that you're going to need to replace what you had last season. Unfortunately, Daniel Storage has made a big of crisps. He's going to get injured every fucking few months out. There has to be someone else there that's going to scar a goal. We don't need someone else that's going to be a goal scarlet. One more shot in this, Charlie. Who would you go for? I agree. I agree. We do need to strike it. That's fine. But at the moment, to be honest, look at the amount of goals that we've conceded, and especially the amount of goals that we've conceded from a second piece. I think there should be something, whether this would be a coach or another player or something, invested as well as a goal here. But I see my argument since we're being lazy, that he doesn't trust us, but he doesn't trust the lads at the back. That's not trust him. Oh, God, I haven't finished. That's quite rude. Yeah, there you go. He can come out and make a fantastic save. He can make a fantastic save. But if you're a goalkeeper and you fall out in front of you and you don't trust them, it's going to make you build up. As my sister said earlier on, stick the ball in the sauna and get them to get on with it because they need sauce and outs. You know what? You know what? I think we may have come across something wonderful there from Charlie Miloney. It's all the balls. It's all the balls. No problem. That's a wonderful solution. And of course, thanks, Charlie. For not answering the question I asked you, I'm moving on to the next question, which is for Neil Gray. And the question is, from one of you a lot, why isn't Jamie Carragher a defensive coach? Well, it's simple because he's walking for scoring. Roger still doesn't want the defensive coach. That's obvious. I mean, Colin Pasco, as Dave said, is kind of half the defensive coach of the minute. So Roger's philosophy doesn't lend itself to someone else coaching his defense when the defense is only in Roger's opinion and is only a fluent part of the attack. So that's part of the problem because the defenders seems to be the first idea is when they intercept and get possession back, they have to lay it off to a midfielder and not defend. Neil, Neil, Neil. You come in here with your Neil Nazi hair. [laughter] Oh my gosh, don't be jealous of his hair. Hang on, I said no racism. It's quiet. Yeah, actually, fucking racism. Here are the other steps. You come in here with your beautiful hatred. Hitler, youth hair. Sorry, not Neil Nazi. Hitler. Yes, sir. I need to tell you. You start talking about Rogers and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, but I'm right, though. Answer the question about defensive coach. Do we need one? Don't talk to me before I take the offensive coach. Why take the defensive coach? Talk to me about defensive coach. We certainly need to defend better. Yeah, but whether a defensive coach is going to lend itself so that I don't think so. No. Do you not think from today's match that? I think we need to replace the goalkeeper. I got the impression from today's match that I trained and recently they've done a lot of defensive work. Yeah. Because there's three, four, five, six, seven, set pieces we didn't concede from. Wow. And then there's players coming out and statistics, woo. Do you know those players coming out and doing something big in them for super weeks? But then we lost it all forward. Can I just jump in? What I saw today was a shift in the way we defend. Yes, yes. It was a zone on American defensive system. It's going back to the way that Rafa used to defend. It's looking at how we, the best type of things that we do with the players. Because Scarlet is used to playing zone on defense. Even Johnson is used to playing zone on defense. So that's great. I think, I think, if you're going to bring... That's brilliant. Back to your question. Should we bring Jamie Carter in as defensive coach? Hang on, hang on. If Jamie Carter understands and observes the ideals of the way that Brendan Rogers wants to play his football team, then Jamie Carter should be on that bench with him as a defensive coach. However, if Jamie Carter wants to defend in a different way to the way that Brendan Rogers does, because he can't have a defensive coach out of sync with a manager, there's no point in bringing the player in, just an X player or an X pro in, just for the sake of bringing him back in. But as a counter argument, the question is, do we need a defensive coach? Yes. So shouldn't we go and get the best defensive coach in Europe? Just because Pasco's from Wales, your big Welsh Norman prize head, don't be backing up the Welsh now at this stage. But he's not just from Wales. He wears shorts like you will never dream of. Ever. But I think it leads into, we've got another question here, which is, should Stephen Jarrod take on a coaching role within the club, right? Yes. Use coaching. Here's the question. Show of hands in the room. How many people would give Jarrod a two-year contract extension? A play in contract extension, as in he plays, not coaching. Yeah? It's not the majority. So that's the issue. Sorry. What about that idea? Yeah, whatever. Well, Jarrod's probably the, in sumo opinion, the muy loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So the loy time is the best of a pure player I've ever seen. So will you keep Jamie still up there? I will everything start moving backwards. Same as the car for Sami hippie. Sami hippie to come back. When we told me that boy in Liverpool was in that win. So it's a very good point. We saw it happen with Kenny the gleech, the ultimate Liverpool player of all time. We saw that happen. So you make a good point. What's the l saying never go back? Yeah. It's... I don't know. Well, the tournament where I went, fucking obviously Roy Hodgson was in charge. Yeah, I was away from the start of the morning. I mean, he found out that Kenny the gleech was coming back in again. The tournament where I waited and waited in the cup. Of course, the way we were going were really hard to net the tournament. Anybody was going put, the gleech... The gleech was king at the tournament. When he came back in, unfortunately... Okay, he brought us back home to Carl and Cup. Got beaten in the FA Cup for him in the book. The waitings peed it out at the end. The waitings were left. The club's hand was forced at the end of the day to bring him back as an ambassador for the club. Roy, he's still involved in the club. The looks of Steve and Jared. It's much like, oh, you know... Jared has come to the end of his career and it's hard to accept that he's come to the end of his career. As good as he's been. But those players you have to keep in the club. You can't let them go out to the club, go somewhere else, give their experience somewhere else. You have to be kept in the club. It's like Steve Foye by going back years ago. Steve Foye by... was always true. Liverpool true and true are always true in the years. Went through the U ranks. Went in exchange when Rafa came in at the tournament. He let him go. You have to keep the all-pilt room still in there to lose the card again, Jared. So, from way up in and out. Neil Gray. A couple of questions have come up. Actually, four separate questions. Wondering about the idea of why we're not... Why don't we see Brendan playing Burini and Mario together? Now, we saw... Except we didn't at the end. Why doesn't that happen? Why doesn't it happen? He doesn't trust Burini, obviously. I mean, he tried to shift him in the summer and he couldn't. Now, I know. I suppose at the same time, if Burini isn't getting a game, the other lads who are trying to break into the first team, they're hard-sposed to be broken because they're never going to get a chance of Burini's getting in front of them. The obvious thing to do would be for me would be play Burini with Balotelli, because at least he gives you some movement. And when Balotelli stands still constantly. So, why doesn't he play him? Because he doesn't rate him, obviously. Although, he bought him twice, he hasn't developed away. Rogers hoped he had developed, obviously. So, he just doesn't trust him. Dave is as simple as that Mario and Fabio just not good enough in his eyes. Well, I don't think so far they haven't been good enough in anyone's eyes. Like, I don't think Balotelli's done enough. I don't think Burini's done enough. So, it's not like they're making a compelling case to start every week, but I would have started on both today. After what happened in midweek, I would have started on both today. And that's the mistake. He didn't. A really interesting question coming from one of you here. You're talking about Burini, yeah? Yeah. Yeah. Play him and Balotelli alongside you. There's no argument. There's no question about play the two of them alongside you. I know, yeah. And he wouldn't try it all this way. They have played underage teams together. They understand how they play together. Right? What's the worst that can happen? We're not scoring goals at the moment. You put two players that have controlled the youth system together. In Italy, in the international team, put them together on the pitch. Right? What's the worst that can happen? They don't score goals. We're not scoring goals at the moment. That makes no difference. Don't try them all with 20 minutes to go. Put them all with 90 minutes to go. Phil. Phil. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You go. You go. Oh, yeah. Listen, that we fought now via text. What's up? Twitter. And now live, which is wonderful. So fair play to you. There's another question for you, but Charlie's got the marks. Charlie, the question is, what time is kickoff? Porto on. [LAUGHTER] I know, my dear. Do you think, Charlie, that Balotelli did enough in the game to continue starting? Right. From the start, let me tell you. My dad gave a shout-out about four months before the beginning of the fellowship of Balotelli. And I said, hmm, yeah. Because we've seen Blanton Rogers turn staring around. We've seen what Blanton Rogers is capable of doing. So to me, I felt, yeah, he's a good son. And should he start speaking of his house? Yeah, I think he should. Because I think he's got potential. And I think he's going to settle with Liverpool the way he didn't settle with all the teams because of the fans. Because of the feed back that he gets from us as fans. Like, we literally dictate who is good and who is bad in the 2014. Fact. That's the fact that it is. And he knows that. And you can see, he knows that I'm not finished talking. It's very rude to talk to somebody who's been doing the talking. [LAUGHTER] What's going on in the house? [LAUGHTER] It's going on in the house. Sorry. Charlie is-- [INAUDIBLE] [LAUGHTER] No, I'm not bald enough. [LAUGHTER] Fair. [INAUDIBLE] I'm pretty enough. [INAUDIBLE] [INAUDIBLE] In the wrong area there. [LAUGHTER] [INAUDIBLE] [LAUGHTER] [INAUDIBLE] Anyway, should he start? Yes, I think he should start. And as Dave was saying before, and as myself and my sister were talking about earlier on. I didn't make any before that this season. But he's Italian, hello. And as Dave said, he played towards-- he played through the U teams together. Do, like, you know what? I know you just said it. I'm just saying you said it. Well, he's welcome for-- you did just say it. Dave Thomas, I know you just said it before anybody said it. [LAUGHTER] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] I'm feel-- I'm feel-- [INTERPOSING VOICES] One source of the penalty area is second half. It's not good enough for us, right? [INTERPOSING VOICES] [CHEERING] [INTERPOSING VOICES] Okay, can I just say one thing or not? Just hang on. Just hang on. Just hang on. Just hang on. At that direct thing, right? [INTERPOSING VOICES] How many other touches? Boy, I never heard a player took place in the 18-air box in the second half. The problem is, is we are not creating chances. It's not about one player. It's we are not creating chances. [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] So that's the point, right? None of our strikes deserve to start. None of them deserve to start. They're all terrible. Everyone was terrible today. So on the basis of today, none of them should start. But Valentelli is a better striker than Lambert. He's a better striker than Burini. So on that basis, he should start. But then we've got to build a team around him. And he just can't throw him up top and say, you know, he's going to do great. Just up front in his own. [INTERPOSING VOICES] [INTERPOSING VOICES] [COUGHING] Can you just hand that mic to your eyes to so many? It has one. It has one. That better. Well, you might need two. He's hiding it somewhere. I don't know where he's hiding. He's hiding it somewhere. [LAUGHTER] Sorry. There's a question in here that Dave Thomas doesn't want to answer. It's a bit lower price. It's a bit lower price. Loveran. What has he done to justify his presence? [INTERPOSING VOICES] 20 million euro up here on top of his head. If you're going to bring it to Fender, then that's worth 20 million. You're going to have to start them every week. When I'm missing the latch out every week, you've got soccer in there, the people down trust. You've got Colorado, Torre, the people down trust. And of course we have to go. We spoke already with Jamie Carley. So you've got three in the tilt. Three in the tilt when you're going to walk. You're going to have to pick two. Loveran was brought in as being the main man that's going to be. He's going to organize the defense. He's going to be the target. He's going to be this. He's going to be that. From picking the people up in the backfield every week, you don't see him doing this. I know he's only 23, 24 years of age. It's an awful lot on the man's shoulders to bring him in and say, hey, the defense is basically shit. You're going to turn the whole lot around. You've got a shit-rogged-fucking-fold. Be sorry to call Glenn Johnson. You've got a left-back hub. That's only this year, Moreno. Last year was John Flanagan, which is not there anymore. And then you've got Martin Scared to be sorry to call out Torre. I'm mainly behind him. Well, be calm to him later on. That's the big fish. No, but in fairness, it's an awful lot on the man's shoulders to come in 24 years of age turning out that you're going to be the main man that's going to turn the whole thing around. You've got the defense of how a collection of a thing. It's got to go out there with the goalkeeper. I know Phil has played and go out as well as myself. You're only as good as your defense when you're a goalkeeper. The defense ahead of you. So the other thing is a guy who is 24, he'd sent the back to him. Generally doesn't have the experience. And it's a huge thing. Everyone keeps hanging it on Lovren and saying Lovren is the issue here, right? The problem is that Martin Scared has been with us for three years. And every time that Martin Scared plays, we concede on average two goals a game. And you can actually check the stats against this. The guy is record against, gold against, is two goals against. This fellow is 28-29. He should be at his peak at this moment in time as a centre back. But he's not. We go out today, we can see another goal today. What I'm saying, I'm not saying that Colotore or Sacco or Lovren is the answer. But the issue is that you can't keep one player at the club that continually is part of the defense that concedes gold. And then turn around and keep saying that every part that's around them is the issue. Eventually you have to remove that issue. It's the same with Glenn Johnson. We could debate that all night long. But there's two common factors running through that team all the time. Glenn Johnson, Martin Scared, right side of the defense. And the golds get conceded. No matter what way you look at it. What's going on today, but with Glenn Johnson playing Roy Ford, the way we were playing tree at the back, he's obviously going to play against Madrid during the week. That scared me. That scared me. That scared me. Mike Willow should have played today. Rest Glenn Johnson and then going against Wilson. Give him a game then. Is it on? Please, man. Who's this one? Whoa! Who's this one? Treb, squeeze it on the top. It's a lay reaction. Let's take a question for the audience. Go ahead. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Luis Juarez. Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. Go on, Luis Juarez. A language barrier. With the defense. They're all different personalities. Me personally think they should have a Scottish or an English defender in there to master all that. At the end of the day, if you're going to pay it, if you're going to pay it, no. If you're going to pay it 80, 90,000 pounds a week, language means four parlors are one language. You can go to the fender, you can't. You can defend as a unit. Me personally, I think it's a language barrier. Up, up, like, my nun. That's a three-word you need to know. There's not even a grade with me. No. No. [ Laughter ] Yes! That's it. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going to pay it. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going. That's where you're going to. What are you using on the Manchester team? Probably one, Joe Hart. Just fucking man, see you got the new one. Just one fucking English player, honey. Watch his position. - Ingo. - Go keeper. English man. Let's go, Ralph. What do you think of it? I think there should be one there. I don't like Johnson as a... Go on, Trev. What I would like to do, man, Scott. - No, it's okay. - It's okay. - No, it's okay. - Man, no, it's okay. Man, no, I believe as well. I think me creatures is a long time ago. Next question that we got from you guys. - Who asked the question? - Phil. We'll come to you next, right? - Look, there's a man down the back to answer us. - Just to take a moment. - Right, let's make the phone. Walk down the back and ask him the question. We'll come back to the room. Oh! Ask my bollocks. Oh! Next question from you, not anyone, was Rogers in the transfer committee. What the fuck is going on, basically? Ask him then. What do you care to comment on that? Neil. I've always got something to say. And the transfer committee, it's a copy. It's bullshit. Rogers has some saying it, of course he has. It's a copy for him to say, oh, the transfer committee about them players, oh, I didn't. I don't believe him for a minute. The recruitment is fucking terrible. You look at America, and she doesn't look like a footballer. Ballotelli was a panic boy. Who has lamb with his shit. So it's the committee, Rogers, whoever boys the player. But for all I thought, I thought to a portion blame to all of the other. It's just a copy on all those accounts. Well, Neil, hang on, hang on, hang on. Before everyone starts going like this, right? At the end of August, when we'd signed all these players, we'd signed Mario Ballotelli, we'd signed Days and Lovern, we'd signed Alberto Moreno, we signed Javier Mequillo, we signed Emery Chan the whole lot, right? There's not a person here who didn't think that, actually, that's a decent window. The problem we have is that, how they've got into the soil, how they've performed, since they've gone into the soil, has been absolutely appalling in comparison to where we have to look at. You have to look at what Chelsea did. There were two world-class players there that went in the league, they're probably going to win it. They've got a war-class manager. Well, it may actually be so hard to win. There's a difference between two world-class players, right? When you've already got a squad in place, as opposed to trying to build a squad, and we had a rather two world-class player. You have to win. Yeah, not Chelsea. We are not much as the city. What we are, is there a football club. And what we are, we build young players, we do really good things with young players, right? And what we need to do is say, okay, the issues we have now, we have a squad. For the fourth time in the long, long time, we have a squad. It's a squad that's up there, it will wrap us. It's about getting our tactics, right? It's about getting what you want to do after the Jordan Games, right? Yeah, I have to go back. It's about you. I have to. This squad is about you. It's about you. Every time, really. No. That's what it's all about. You're getting a bit, you're getting a bit bulky. I've got a question from there in the audience. Is that okay with you there? Yeah, yeah, it's grandeur. Yeah, cheers, lad. Cheers, lad. Cheers, lad. Cheers. How long is it going to take you to get down there? Jesus Christ. Apparently, I got nailed. Some weeks, not walking, Trev. Trev, if you try sign language, we won't be able to hear the question. Trev, bring him up. Come on, bring him up. Everyone, give me a round of applause. Bring him up. Come on. Come on up here. Let's hear it. Give me a round of applause. I don't hear a hear of me. Yeah. All right, good work. Go for it. Now we see it. You keep going on about the fencing. But when you look at it, we had menialy, machirano, javelinso, charades, aga's girl, solid. Now all of a sudden, we've lost him and now we're conceding goals. But we did have Suarez, started staring at scoring goals. Obviously, we didn't have machirano, javelinso on the team. We're just going back on each other. We were scoring goals, solid. Now we're conceding goals. Now we're gone. Yeah. I mean, that's the challenge, right? How do you get a manager that can have a defense like Benitez and an attack like Rogers? And Rogers can't defend like Benitez, but Benitez couldn't really attack like Rogers. I mean, everyone used to give out about Rafa. And I was a huge Rafa fan. But people bought him off the field when he went up to the league because he drew Neil Neil with Wiggle. You know, so it's really tough. How many teams find that balance? Who's the best team in the league right now? Chelsea, right? And they're the best offensive team in the league, right? But they started a little bit up talk. You know, so it's really difficult to find that balance. And I think that's what Rogers is doing at the moment. Sorry. Look what we came down to last season. You know, we were fighting at the top of the table. And we were looking at points. And it was coming down to goals. You're going? OK. He's there. You live. It's coming now. In the streams. Look, it's so rude. Charlie, Charlie, focus, focus, focus, focus. Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, we're going to go to... Anyways. No, no, no, no. We're going to go to here with the last question. And then we'll go around a few other people. Thanks, mate. We're going to go to here with a... Last question, Charlie, is... Adam Alana, should he play more? Yeah, because you can't judge a player unless he's played. To be honest, that's common. What do you make of when he's played? What do you make of him? I've seen some good stuff. I've seen some famous, small signs that we have had made over the summer. I've seen a little bit of good in all of them. You know, they've had their moments. So even Glenda, as a moment today. You know, let's be honest. Even Glenda. Even Glenda. But, yeah, like, if the... I used to know, we sent Jordan and I about alone. And we could do with him on the team. So, there is a lot of parts of me that I don't understand. Well, I'd like to actually sit down. Depends a lot. Just to say, come up with me. Yeah, you're not doing it. And I'm sure, like, everybody else's as well. You're not doing it. I just... The new question would be, why are you not starting? The likes a lot? Why are you not letting us see you? Well, Andrew, where's some go out alone and have Glen Johnson rifle? Talk to me about Adam Alana, because I really wanted to talk about him. Well... Today, the obvious... The obvious is the two changes today. It was all the continuum, and cereal weren't walking. You're two choices today. You take one, you put cereal and chill the middle, where he's better after playing, chill the middle. Yeah. And you put Alana out on the wing. Yeah. You have two choices. Leaving a propeller that you pay 24 or 24 million on the bench. Today, when they're getting beat 1-0 against Newcastle, it's obviously telling you he's going to start against Ryan Madrid. That's obvious. He's keeping for Iron Madrid. So, he could have brought him on. Try to attack a person. They're getting beat 1-0 away to Newcastle. It's 10 minutes to go. We had one social children left to make. Yeah. He never made it. Fair enough. Another question from the audience. Go, go, go. I have a question, Roy. Yeah. What's Liverpool play European champions? Yeah, two weeks ago, Roy. And Jim Becklin said, "What's going on with Liverpool?" Last year, you feared them. They were coming out and scoring six goals. Seven, Roy against. And now they're going. How many goals are going to get the feed, boy? What's going really wrong? We've won more games than to get towards the end of the game this season than we did the whole time. I hear a lot of opinions, right? I respect them, right? But no one's asking the question. What's really gone wrong? What do you think is wrong? I don't know. I don't answer the question yourself. No, I don't know. I really don't know. Again, the individual opinions about players. But what? I'll tie our hand, right? My real question is, right? I'm struggling with the fact. How do you lose one player and have such an impact? You haven't. You've lost two players. No, no, no. You've lost the best streak and the second best streak in England. You have to ask that question. How does one player have an effect on the same? It's a fucking... How the fuck does that happen? The last part of that answer, mate, isn't it? Sorry, a large part of that answer is the chapel asked the question before that. He said, "The chapel asked the question before that probably half answered it." Can I just say, right? To answer that question, right? Yeah. I think we've changed the way we play. Can I get me cold? Genuinely, I said it during the week. I said, "I think that we've now stopped being a team that goes at teams in the fourth 20 minutes and becomes a team that tries to win a game in the last 20 minutes. Very similar to what Rafa would hold for Nilo for 70 minutes and then go at them for the last 20 minutes. And if you look at the day and look at the way we were playing, it was very much containment, containment, containment. Look to see if we can catch them on the break and then when it happens, it happens, right? But if you look at Swansea, say, at 75 minutes, they score a goal, we score a goal. We score a goal 10 minutes later. We change our shape, we change everything to go completely like the way we were last year, which was purer, balls out attack. Exactly. Yeah. But we should. We should. I don't disagree with you. I think the one thing, the one thing that's really important, just hang on, the one thing that's really important about this, right, is that we have lost one of the three best players in the world. Fair, give the man the right to reply. No, no, just hang on a second. We've lost one of the three best players in the world. He's in the top three of the best players in the world. And these aren't just best players at the moment. These are generational best players. You cannot replace him with one or two silence. It's a rarity. They come along once in a generation. You cannot change the way you play a football match. Which one is? OK. Can I ask a question, right? Yeah. Again, it's your opinion, right? No. That's what I said. Are you saying that Rodgers is adapting his side to what he has? Or does he change the way he's playing? I think he's learned that he cannot score the same amount of goals. We've only lost one player. No. We've only lost one player. No, we've lost one player. We've sold one player. We've lost our second gold score. So I think we're trying to adapt to... You lost two best gold scores in England last season. You can replace one of the best players in the world with someone else. Kenny, the ugly, Kevin, Keegan. Hi, thank you. Yeah, one more question to the audience. Kenny, thank you. All right, hang on. We've got one more question coming from the audience. And we're going to wrap it up soon, then, lads. I hope it's a Glenn Johnson question. [ Laughter ] It's not Glenn Johnson, not Glenn Johnson. The way I see that is that Mario Palatelli coming to the team, right? We all knew that he was a big gamble. A big, big gamble. 16 million. It's worth it. It's worth a gamble. It hasn't paid off. Okay. It hasn't paid off. His attitude on the pitch is now rubbing off on everybody else, right? He's walking around hands on hips. Players on the pitch are relating to this kind of a thing. They're looking at him. And they're saying to themselves, "Well, why the fuck should I bother?" If he's not bothering, right? So, it's a time now for Rogers to say, right? He's trying to prove a point that he turned Louis Suarez into a world-class player from a boy in person from Ajax that he bought. He's trying to prove that he can now turn Mario Palatelli into a world-class player. It's not after working. I personally think that Mario Palatelli is dragging the whole team down. He's dragging the whole team down. He now has to say, he now has to say, "Right, lads, hands up. Let's move on. Let's get rid of him." And bringing players who wants to play. Like Lelana. Like can. Fellas who are willing to wear the shoulder pride, who are not willing to swap it at half time. Sorry. They're not willing to get hand games into a season and they're running the player off already. Yes. Yes. It's incredible. Yes. Because he's dragging the whole team down. He doesn't play up front on his own. He has to play up front for a striker. He's played one game of front with a striker, which was storage against Tottenham. And what did he do when sports? The best away performance he put in this season. You can't really play it off after nine to hand games. Today he played his best five seconds for Liverpool. When he got that free kick. That was it. That was it. He doesn't have... Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't think he has the Liverpool latitude. The Liverpool way. The passion. The passion. That's... I hope I'm wrong. Sorry. Can I say? Yeah. If you watch a player on the pitch and you read everything that's going on the pitch, right? And say, "Yeah." You have a very valid point, right? The only thing is when you listen to the likes of your man Robbie Savage today, right? And he was bollocking him over things that wasn't really happening. Right? Everyone subconsciously feeds into it. I'm not saying that Mario Ballotelli was the right sign. I don't think it was. I think the right sign was to find a set of forward that could play instead of storage. Because I think that storage is going to miss 15 to 20 games this season. On a bad season, maybe 12 to 15. And you want somebody pushing storage from the start, right? Yeah. So, what I think is that if you sign Ballotelli, you don't sign Lambert. We'll come back to the point about the transfer committee. It's like you look at it and you say, "Where is the strategy?" When it comes to the centre forwards, "Where is the strategy?" We've signed two centre forwards, we've signed a mobile over the hill centre forwards. We've signed a fella who's more or less delivered people, Demetara Bebertoff, as a stance. But what we needed was another storage, or even a 75% storage to get us through the gap when storage can't play. What we need is a centre forward who's willing to play for Liverpool, to applaud bad passes, to applaud good passes, not to walk around with his hands on his hips. I don't think body language can be read into so many different ways. You're not getting what he's like when they're standing and trying to pitch, and they're all breaking their heart off, and it's the best place to hold. All I say is, don't read so much as the body language. Read into what's going on the pitch. When you see Mario Ballotelli go from the left hand side of the pitch to the right hand side of the pitch, when he wouldn't even, three weeks ago, he wouldn't move from the left hand side of the pitch to the centre of the pitch. That's a progress. But it's not good enough. It's not good enough. You've seen it today. He won't touch in the box in the second half. But that's going to create chances. But it's the reason why he's not creating chances is that players won't give him the ball, because they're not confident that he's just... Is he a negative? Is he a negative? Is he a negative? Well, it's a fair enough question, man. Thank you. Appreciate it. Thanks for coming off. God bless you. [Applause] Good on you. It's good to go on. So we're going to finish with... We're going to finish with a song. Ready? It's only one way to finish it. It's only one way to finish it, and that's with a song. Let's finish this with a song. So many when he's gonna sing us the song. So many. So many with a power ballad. Do you remember the moputs? No relax relax. It's matching. We're gonna sing a little song in favor of a guy. It's a little out of the song. [Singing] At Capella University, education is as smart as the world around us.
