We'll also speak to Spurs fan and broadcaster Ed ahead of Sunday's Clash of White Art Lane and of course we'll settle in for some tripper chats. Okay, we're very, very lucky to be joined by Chris Bascom from The Telegraph to have a wee chat with us this evening. Chris, it's lovely to have you on the show tonight. Can we start by asking you maybe the most pressing question? And that is, is Mario Bellatelli the last man to be zapped this summer? Or do you think there are any other deals which are bubbling under the surface and any opinions on that, Chris? And I was asked probably don't know enough medicals for one son. I don't think he did about five in Boston on his own to be honest with but I would imagine certainly in terms of first seeing your plans that would be it. You can never say never because there's quite a few things probably leave but certainly the indications are that the strike was going to be the last one but I think there's definitely a chance of a backup goalie. Yes, I think it'll be a negligent city. Don't sign a backup goalie if you ask me. Just a bit, yeah. The thoughts would make me like snapping a finger and Brad Jones going and going. I think a lot of people worry about that. So wouldn't these guys be a backup keeper and I know there are some youngsters that are being kicked and stabbed on but I think they'd probably likely need to be just keeping them where they are and tell such a side as they need it. So I would be surprised if there's any more major silence. With the guys that we've seen so far, we've had two competitive matches to kind of assess some of the new boys. From what you've seen so far and obviously with two contrasting results, would you be optimistic from what you've seen and given what could be there in terms of potential and what do you think would be your prediction for how things will go with this campaign overall? It's very difficult. There's none of the bases of the two games because I think everyone went to the Southampton game thing and I think we've got to be more of the same of last year a team comes to Anfield and gets totally blitzed. It's never like that the first game of the season. It's always a little bit of a struggle, a little bit of getting a fitness and then you look at the two away games, you've got the one that they've played on Monday, the one they've got coming up the weekend, two very, very tough away games against teams that you would expect to be. Certainly in the top six, they see it within the city's case going for the title. I can't think as we speak on the day after that city game, I have to admit, there's a certain feeling of flatness isn't there because you kind of think there's a hope of a bit of a statement there against the city and yet at the same time, you're trying to balance that out with how good the city are and the pool with the new players still trying to settle and maybe a bit emotional after the overfeed and looking at it a bit too negatively and really the time to judge is going to come over the first 10 games. So it seems the way I think Liverpool would be. I predicted the third at start and I'm not going to change my mind. I'm not in the middle. I think there weren't many certainly in my industry predicting Liverpool being in the top four. Everyone was saying, you know, he's going to pick Liverpool, so I'm quite confident that's not going to be the case as we speak, but Michael and Simon are the £200 million players in the next three days, so it might be going to be careful. But yeah, I still think Chelsea and City are going to fight it out. I never thought it was going to be protecting that Champions League place. I think an awful lot of people would be content with that. If things weren't reasonably well in the Champions League, how would you think, based on the evidence of his tenure so far, Brendan Rodgers will cope with that campaign with the Champions League and not just the competition itself, but managing the squad across four competitions, hopefully. I think he'll be in his elements, actually. I think he'll look forward to everything about it. I think he'll love the press conferences. I think he'll love all the razzmatas that goes with it. I think he'll just relish the big European nights. And I think Liverpool can do great things in the Champions League, because he just can't do a lot of the Anfield factor in the Champions League. Any team, everyone's going to be talking about a potential group of death on Thursday. I'll tell you what, those teams in group part one and two won't want to get drawn against Liverpool to Anfield in the group stage, because we've seen pretty poor Liverpool teams in your great things. I think this is a very good Liverpool team. I think one of those actually wants to see Liverpool get the big teams. I don't want to go to Anfield and see all the kinds of low-key group matches and easing into it, because I think it'll be a real emotional feeling when Liverpool are back in the Champions League. It'll be terrible for the opposition to come to Anfield for that first European night back in the Champions League. Chris, how are you? It's failed. Just honest, given that we were talking about the bodies that we've signed and all the Champions League overall, looking at this, and it's something you said, we've seen more squads in Europe. Where would you rate this squad now? Given the amount of signs that we've made, accepting that we've lost Suarez, how would you rate this the overall squad now in comparison say to the last 10 years? Well, I think that the football we saw at Anfield last year is that it was the best I can remember watching any Liverpool teams since the Giroi Evans side, which was a flawed side, wasn't it? We should saw a lot of similarities in that. Giroi Evans side always thought if they had a couple of decent centre after they would have won the title, I don't think it would pull that Jamie Calligan in the team. We wouldn't mind doing the title. Yeah, the main play trick, because you've always preferred the young, recent memories. It's not to say there was some great who they had a great side in 2002, not the treble side of the year after the 2002 side, it was a great side and it went on. Raffa side of course, that nearly won the title. That could have gone on and been a special side, but we all know what happened. So, I think there's so many similarities that Brendan has put together a great side, but then Suarez has gone. And that is the greatest, you know, I think it's time to stop Toronto, Suarez really, we may as well start talking about what would be like a day and watching the team or John Barnes, we've gone past, but nevertheless, until we see the likes of LaLana and our Balletelli settles, it's impossible to judge because those two clearly are going to be fundamental to how good LaLana will be a watershed because they will be first choice play. Chris, it was interesting to hear you're talking about, you know, the press conferences and Brendan enjoying them and he clearly does revel in us. How are you boys finding the club to deal with under the current setup and does it differ much from previous regimes that you've experienced? So the difference, you know, I was a bit dreading this question because I don't really like kissing the clubs backside too much, but you know, I have to say it is a completely different football club and you should really be reassured by a lot of the things that have gone on at the pool in terms of, you know, the PR side of it, the director of communications. I'm not even sure if many Liverpool supporters know who the director of communication of the pool is now, and surely that's a good thing because there's been too many of them, everyone has known. And they're doing things the right way and, you know, I can only tell you, I mean, the US tour, you know, the provisions for the media, they were just outstanding. I've been away a little, you know, many years covering them. There's been times I've been away with them for two weeks and you were lucky to get two minutes with the manager and that was when I was with the local paper, so completely different now, completely different setup and... And is it fair to say, Chris, that the manager himself is a very approachable kind of agenda, such as the impression he gives? I mean, absolutely, yes, absolutely is, but you know, let's get right, it's sort of what happens on the pitch now. I mean, it wouldn't bother me if Liverpool had an absolute, you know, after all, to do a better way, just going to manage it, yeah, just do a winning game. Absolutely. Not on a nice block and then not playing with football. As it happens, they've got a really personable guy in charge and they've been playing great stuff last 18 months. Yeah. Long made that continue because it makes everybody's life easier. And ultimately, it's about going the game and enjoying yourself. I think everyone has started to do that again. Yeah, we'll take that all right for sure. Most Reds, Chris, will know you're from your golf-written autobiography of Jamie Caroger. Did you enjoy that process of the book? And if you were to repeat this, would there be anyone that you'd like to work with ideally? Well, obviously, I've very much enjoyed it. It was, you know, probably the best gig you can get, be given. And he's such a hands-on guy, you know, and he's always joking with me because I'm so bitter that he's got on the daily nail. I'm not the telegraph, but that's another story. But yeah, I mean, it was fantastic and I was very proudly proud that he let me write that in terms of whether they were doing anyone for anyone else. Well, people were chances to do others, but they never interested me because I thought after doing it, especially when he was still a player, you know, he was ex-players or the stand-up as well. Just wasn't interested because it just wouldn't board me. And his book was fantastic to do. And personally, he just thought it was so contemporary as well. And I think he's, you know, it's helped him go on to greater things, so to speak, I would write another football book. It's hard enough doing the day job. I mean, when I was doing the category book, we didn't have to do 12 vlogs a day. Yeah, absolutely. Well, look, it would be very remiss if we let you go with maybe a prediction for the weekend. How do you think the game game sports is going to go? Actually, before we wrap it out up, Chris, well, what's the latest on the injuries that were from last night because, like, you're looking potentially, but Moreno obviously tore his ankle, and that was clear on the television we were watching. It scared him to pick up a knock, and of course, Johnson walked off the pitch. Yeah. Well, yeah, he's just talking about Johnson. He was going to go down to 10 memory. That was actually quite, I think, the marine out of the two of them looked a bit more serious, but he stayed on, so I'll credit to him for that, because he had a difficult night. Well, no more tomorrow is the answer to that. I just written a piece for tomorrow's paper, and there's no particular updating on those injuries, rather than there's going to be, hopefully, an update on Wednesday morning, but I think at this stage, they're probably doubtful for the weekend, but you never know. They certainly need to need the bodies, at least by the time they'll be available for that game. Who do you reckon is going at the door? I read the piece about the absence of Lucas being an indication that they may be looking to shift him out. Obviously, Agar hasn't featured at all since the pre-season itself. Any indications from the club or any Mormons in terms of who's the force, who's likely to be forced out the door of the bigger sign, it's obviously, we think, Jack Robinson is on his way to QPR. I think it plays like Lucas clearly do not like being in a club when they're not playing. I think he's made his feelings known, really, pretty much since I think Stevie got the deep play in midfield a role. I don't think he's the type of... Some players can accept not being in the team and be quite a positive character, I don't think Lucas comes into that category. Napoli was sniffing around very early in the summer. I know exactly what Napoli will be doing there because the manager there was a Liverpool manager and he will be waiting until the very last minute thinking he can get the best deal possibly for Napoli. I'd be interested to see where the Liverpool go with that and just like Lucas go on low and I did it right in the last year. If you took him in a deal maybe, you know, obviously there's a bit of a rainy situation and I think obviously all the brushes for the northeast, the tourism board that have been scattered around this locker happened... he's still there, he's still there. He's not taking the end. He's waiting for an Italian club to come in for him. So, you know, it would all be in a way be quite depressing from their point of view because you could tell that you're not going to be playing much football or an Alan cup draw. You know, I always have more respect for the guy who says he wants to go like Lucas than something like Barini who just seems to want to hang around in the before choice but that's what we're saying aren't we? Yeah. Is the SUSO situation, he's only got a year left in his contract. Is it likely that we're going to sell him or is he going to go out on loan or what's the club's preference there? I think it depends on the nature of the offer. I think they would take money for him. So, you know, I don't think that's the least number one on the priority list to get out. He won't be on a big salary in SUSO. So, I don't think they'd be overly concerned if he stays but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins as well. Well, last year then, Chris, how do you see the game going on the weekend against Spurs? Yeah, again, it's one of those tips, you know, traditionally tough venues. Last year was free. Yeah, a bit of a laugh here. The weekly Liverpool play, there was a bit of a turning point. So, does that be memories going there? But, Pochettino, I suspect, is going to do well at Spurs and they're the great results against QPR. Yeah. But, you know, some Spurs die as well. I know a week earlier, we were saying, "Oh, not much has changed. They haven't really got new players." And they weren't expected them to be much of a challenge. So, I think that, you know, from Spurs' point of view, I think they're probably playing Liverpool a good time because, as we said, the one thing that was lacking last night was that penetration. And I think, you know, it's just a shame really that the loner hasn't been available for two really tough away games at the start. And it's going to be a tough one. I think Liverpool would take a draw, probably. I know the lads were talking, we were talking on it, and we were saying that, you know, it seems that going back to a diamond formation would probably seem to be better because the story seems to revel when he has somebody alongside him. It seems to have been struggling a bit in the two games when he's been up there in his own. Well, that would be your taking out of being at the actual games itself. I would think so, but I think Balotelli is not quite the same as Suarez, and then he's not like his drift wide, is he? And Suarez was always on the move where I think Balotelli, he thinks he likes it with his back to goal. And, you know, the story is going to have to probably do a lot more of the work in that partnership, but certainly the one thing we could absolutely say in City, albeit against, you know, particularly great defence is, you know, storage is best chances. You sort of made themselves in the team company twice, and there just wasn't enough there. But again, I kind of wondered, well, are we just looking at it because it was against City, and they're not going to be playing against Vince in company every week. So maybe it'll be better at the weekend. Chris, really appreciate your tellers, sir. Thanks very much. No problem at all, mate. Thanks, mate. Thanks for joining us. Thanks, boy. Right then, there's a massive elephant there in handstands in the corner of the room. So we need to speak about the loss, the one, three loss to Manchester City. Strange kind of a game. City showed a lot of clinical methods, which you need to win big matches. There are certain ruthlessness about them, which we need to develop. We're not going into too much detail about the obvious negatives, lads. Could we maybe focus on a few of the positives before we get into any spirals? We'd like to start me off there. Ray, you're new on the show. Yeah, positives, well, the fourth, 14 minutes for positives. Yeah. We looked a total different team to the game against Southampton. Everything about the shock me, I wasn't expecting them to play, have good de-play it. Continue picking the ball up, lingo play, everything about attack 'emways. We looked good, barre, shall I say, when I'm saying attack 'emways, the final tour let us down. But apart from that, play was, I thought, we were excellent. Excellent. And does it go to part as a game of two halves in that old cliche in terms of positive and negative? Yeah, I wouldn't even say a game or two halves, I thought just City took a couple of chances. Simple as that. I didn't think we were a piss pour in the second half either. I just thought that they finished our chances. We didn't. Simple as that. Fair enough. Flurry, I know it's not exactly your forte fella, but could you give us the legion of doom has ended the room? Hang on, I got the deck, yes. I think positive, I think good, come at that for you. I've been fairly positive about this even since last night at a portion of a couple of players and things like that. I happen to go off certain players and things like that. At the end of the day, it's City, the champions, they've spent fucking gillings of money, billions of money, whatever it is. Gillings as bad. Just a few pound the difference. They have spent a ridiculous amount of money. The champions are a reason. We've gone there and we've done well for 40 minutes and we've kind of slipped and we've gone in and kind of wound down. But on thinking, if we go in there and the law, Pellegrini has a problem. He's got to change something because we're bashing for 40 minutes. We felt we dominated him for 40 minutes. He's got a problem. He's got to change one, but because he gets to go, he doesn't have to change a thing. He just goes back out and does the exact same thing again. So that goal just killed the game. As soon as we went in, I said, that's something I killed in the first. If we could have got one back early, which I thought the story would have, I think we could have got something out of the game. Overall, we played well. We went a bit all over the shop when we chased the game, or Pellegrini doing exactly what Rigno doing against the grand field. He was quite happy to let us have the ball. He was quite happy to sit deep. That's where he went. We're really just in the middle of the break. I find we struggle with it because we have a tendency to overplay it when we have too much possession of the ball. That's when we get caught on the break when we're broken down. But other than that, we played well, as Ray was saying, probably in the final tour, we lacked a little bit. But that was fairly positive. Let's catch by this, Ray. How many things are going to go to see you this year and win? Yeah. Or even get results on it. Now I'm only winning. Every little bit of perspective. Andy, anything good coming out of it for yourself? Yeah. I mean, it's hard to add much to what the lads are saying there. Looking at sitting out, they're a very settled team. They're not a team that's still getting all these big players failing at getting used to playing on their pedigree. They're really settled team now. So, again, this season, it's going to be even worse. Teams gone there. 90% of teams won't get anything. There pretty much be everyone there. So, it's always going to be a difficult game. The first 40 minutes, the rare brilliance. Liverpool don't really like playing against a team that sits back. There's only probably four or four teams that we probably couldn't penetrate. Boy, boy, just holding out of that possession. It's going to be difficult against the city. So, I don't think losing a tree at the idea is embarrassing or anything that's going to happen to other teams. This team's gone there and getting a ton of 6-0. So, I mean, I'm not too down about it. You know, once the goal went in, it was going to be very difficult for Liverpool or anything. No matter who goes there before a Munich bar, anybody, they're going to struggle being a goal down. Yeah. So, it doesn't really change much for me. Anything there last night was going to be a bonus. We didn't get in there last year, and we haven't got out there this year. We still done very well last year. Fair enough, Phil, to kind of segue a little bit into the more kind of the darker side of things, if you want. The whole idea of what the lads are touching on there, like, you know, we had a lot of possession, the ball, etc. And we did look like I heard people using fries like we were a boss and that and stuff like that. And that's fair enough. But wasn't there something missing? Like, I was trying to write about this last night and that kind of madness or age was definitely missing, wasn't it, for all our possession. Yeah, we were very good at retaining the ball. And I suppose it's now become a cliche that it's a Brendan Rodgers team, and we'll be good at retaining the ball. But to be honest with you, the last two years, we've developed into more more of a counter attack inside when Suarez was in the team because it played to a strength. We wanted to get him as isolated with defenders as possible, and he could tour him and go with them and do some magic. And to be clear, sorry, just to cut across you, but to be clear, this isn't a question about he who shall be named at all. This is about our own lads, just not having that. I thought that we were probably I thought we were very good at moving the ball around. But there's an element that city went really pressing us to win the ball back until we got to their box. And then when we did get to their box, they pressed us really aggressively and nearly inevitably got the ball back and prevented any chances from happening. The only real chance that we got was the lovely ball into Sterling where he took it on his chest and tried to spin and volley. And then storage had a chance later on where the ball came across, where we did manage to get him isolated against him. And he was able to step over, get past him and get the shot away against Joe Hurt. And that to me showed that that city, as Daniel said, they were prepared to sit off in the middle toward, let us have the ball as much as we can. And in a way, I thought when, when at about thirty-five minutes, they seemed to up their tempo, almost trying to get a goal before half time. Their whole sort of, they started pressing us much higher, they started going at our full backs to starting to go with space that was being left. Up until then, they primarily attacked down Johnson's flying guard at the time because it was being left vacant. And that's where they were using it. From about thirty-five minutes, they switched completely in silver. They started double team and Reyno. They noticed that Catania wasn't really or wasn't interested in doing as defensive duties as much as he has done beforehand. And they were able to get at us from that side then. They switch over where their attack was from. And that's where the goal comes from. And I think it's only a very good team in Manchester City that they identify something under able to execute on the pitch. It's a very, it's what you imagine the top teams been able to do. They work out how teams play against them. It's like what we did last year with an awful lot of the poorer teams. We sat back for twenty minutes, or if we didn't get the goal of about the twenty minutes, we were able to eventually figure out, how are we going to put, how are we going to get past these? We did whatever we had to do, and then we'd score inevitably in the fourth half, which would give us the cushion going in a half time. Overall though, it's good to see that we're able to retain the ball. Against better sides, they're not going to be able to execute as City is, and we'll get the results out of it. Eventually, we'll wear them down and make chances. But, you know, it was very much, to me, it seemed very much possession for possession's sake, because there was an awful lot of times the ball was getting around the final toward. And the lads seemed to be maybe a bit cautious to play a final toward ball, or, you know, it was Coutinho you wanted in around the twenty-five toward the yard mark to play something true, because a lot of the time the ball seemed to go into Henderson and he'd go back with it, or go to Allen, and he'd turn and he'd look to play off again for midfielder. It was always a bit too much of a respect for the Manchester City defences. It was supposed to look into Troy Probe and create chances. Raised that interesting points that are made by Phil, and to kind of move on from a little bit, is that fair to say that that defence is going to have a little bit of time to get used to each other. They're not going to come up against attacks and midfields that are as clinical and as ruthless as City every week. That defence needs a bit of time, clearly. Yeah, without a deal, I think from what I've been reading today on Twitter, everyone's been extremely, extremely harsh. We have to think about this, this is two games in, and we've got so many new buddies in there. It's going to take a bit of time. I look at it just over the two games and the vast improvement from last week to last night was, you know, already. Now, we're not talking to defence, we are talking as a team unit. So, it's happening. It's a walk in progress, and people are jumping and going a little bit, and that's Carl Owen was as far as you'll see. There's no way they were treating one better than us last night. They were more clinical in front of the goal, simple as, yeah, that's it. They're just better upfront. That's it. It wasn't a three-one game, fire from it. Three-two had Lambert taken his chance at the end, would have put a bit of a fairer, fairer, showing on it, you know. But now the defence will come. It will come. Maybe the lads need to find what the Spanish for away is and let me know. It seems to get lost in translation, but yeah, that's a walk in progress. I'm more than happy with the progress they've made from the 4th week that I get in there. So, you wouldn't be overly harsh on any individuals? No, not particularly, not particularly. What shall I say? Don't get me wrong. I've got point out errors and stuff, but I'm not going to be overly harsh and we're there. Free or free? You're going to have your chance. We'll drag you down. So, Floody. Watch how it's going. Tell me about Deja and Lovern in particular, because he was a man who's getting an awful lot of flack. Again, if you look at one or two mistakes and straight away, people point their finger at Lovern for the mistakes, but that's just one individual small thing. I know you can point blame at one player most times, but normally it's Johnson, obviously somebody has to get the blame. But as always, kind of trying to show us today, when we were talking privately, they got a big fucking drawings and pictures and everything. We've got a problem. I've said this a couple of times last year. You don't work today. I think I said it twice. It's a system problem. The second goal, Lovern looks like he's caught. He's caught positionally wrong. And he is caught. He's caught the wrong side of his man. But as a Santa hat, that's why we want your Santa back parent now to see it. No, Skirtle's three or four yards away, and he's looking at that, and he sees him, and he does nothing about it. And this isn't just last night. This is every single game. It's gone back to most games. He doesn't cover. He doesn't actually defend as the only. He defends as individuals. Whether Johnson and Skirtle are doing around him and Lovern's playing a different way. It was the second goal, let's say he stepped up. Now everyone said, "What the fuck's he doing stepping up?" But you know how it's Moreno stepping up? Two minutes into the game failure, saying, "What the fuck is Johnson and Skirtle doing?" Two years, yeah, it's deeper than the other lads. So as a defender, when the ball normally shifts backwards, you're looking straight away. You want your Santa hat screaming, get up, get up, and that's where he isn't to play. He squeezes to play. Moreno comes with him. The two lads stay in there, and he gets a simple ball in. But straight away, Lovern looks like he's fucked up there because he's left him in behind. Well, the proper Santa hat for half a unit, if he steps up with him, that's two players off-site, and you squeeze to play, and you know where to play. So maybe I think it's defensively as a unit, as a system, it's not real. And if you have a defensive coach there, at the club, I don't know who it is, but they're making serious errors as the system, as the unit, more so than individually. That's what I'm saying there. Would you concur there, Andy? Yeah, well, Luke, you know, now we have a number of players there, Rogers has brought in for the back four. So we should start to see the players doing what he wants to do, and you know, the more suited to what he wants to do. I don't think he's long-term. He's a big fan of Skirt. I think eventually he'll probably see Sacco come in and maybe Lovern play or he's Santa back. We don't know what way they're going to work it out, what he'll play as Roy Santa back, and who plays on the left? What's making you say that? Like seeing this demand sitting there fit on the bench, that he's not being introduced. When you see all the other lads getting introduced. I just think it's very hard to make kind of far changes at the back. Okay, and it's going to take time. But now we have now, well, now Rogers, you assume has the four players there, at least, that he wants there, that he wants at the club, and he wants to to drill them into doing playing the way he wants, you know, he wants it here to play. It's very hard for Skirt and Lovern to build up a partnership straight away, you know, and you look at our last seasons, a lot of chopping and changing, and then can kind of see a bit of chopping and changing way up until Christmas till he kind of develop a partnership. Like we were always at a best when we had a partnership where it was on Shawn, he'd be a character guy. You have to develop a partnership. Right now you can't really say, it's hard, very hard to predict. Like I'm saying Sacco and Lovern will show you who knows. I got my work as way back into team, you just don't know. And none of the players know, but there certainly should be a pecking order amongst them, and then acceptance that these are the two main men. And until that happens, it's going to be very, very difficult to develop and understand them between the forward and the alone. You know, we've won player in Johnson playing right back that everybody can see, including, I'm sure, the other three defenders that he shouldn't be there. So we can't expect it to work like that straight away. But again, the type of mistakes last night, I don't think like 90% of teams won't punish you, like city will. But teams like city will tear you apart with their mistakes. But it is going to take time. And I mean, it's very difficult to be harsh. I mean, you look at Twitter as Ray was saying earlier, like it was all picking up mistakes, but like very little tweets going on about how good city are, you know, and how city capitalizing things, they do match you, like they're fucking quick overlaps and back heels and fucking spin around all over shop. It's impossible. But if you do watch them defensively, they're solid as fuck, that's the only is ridiculously solid. Like if the full bike closes the man, his center half goes with him, he doesn't, what we do was scared of those in particular, if Lauren goes out to close the man, scared of stands in the middle, he doesn't close that gap, he can keep the gap closed. So we had it last week with the runner in it and then Sam scored. We had a couple of times last night, we got lucky with that. But that gap is always there. You think this is what he bought, love and love. Roger has said it now, a couple of times that he's the organizer, he's the one that does it. So maybe he's hoping that this organizer shall we say, we'll bring this out and scare it almost, you know what I mean? We should be waiting to bring it out and scare it when you have a top quality center half and cycle sitting on the bench. That's years younger. He's obviously the future, you know. As soon as you see that age, all the argument, you don't avoid the two, the two, the player who's used to playing left center back can't just adapt to the playing right center back. Like Lovren's really fought. So it shouldn't be too hard for him. But it's the end, it's this argument that, well, I mean, it's just we came really top of the last season with this and it's there. It just doesn't seem to happen. Well, whatever about partnerships, and Andy's talking about partnerships there in the center, there's obviously the future as far as Roger sees it, the partnership between Moreno and Lovren on that side of the offense would be fair to say, Phil, that the other side is looking like it's definitely likely to break up as of the next match. Well, Moreno could be out as well, but like, you know, I think you've got to, if Daniel touched on it, you've got a conflictual style of defender and on the right hand side, you've got Johnson and Skirtle, who when the ball is played, they almost immediately react and torn and head towards the wrong goal. And on the other side, you have Moreno and Lovren, who when the ball is played, they try and go and win the ball where it actually is to prevent the ball getting past them. Now, that type of defender will inevitably have mistakes where the ball gets played around them. And you're relying on your other defenders, understanding the way you're going to play. So if you've got a conflict of soils like this, it's inevitably going to lead to defenders being out of position or looking like they're out of position. And like last night, Moreno, I actually taught Moreno played very well for a debut, accepting the mistake that he makes in terms of clearing the ball away. But he showed immense amount of hurt. He showed enough to me that he's, you know, when I've looked at left backs, there's always been flaws in terms of what we're looking at for a long, long time now. But defensively, I don't think he's as dodgy as some of the defenders we've seen over the last world. And I think, you know, he's going to grow into the game. It was a baptism before. And to be honest with you, I personally would have been prepared to see Manquayo on the other side. I think when you go on, you change two, three defenders in your defense and you want to change the style. And it's clear, at my mind, that Rogers is trying to change the way we defend, that there's not holding on to the old defenders, regardless of sentiment in this, you change the guard and you say, right, well, if I'm putting a new defensive unit in, I just put a new defensive unit in because tomorrow games, they're playing together the quicker you're going to build up the understander. So you're saying the idea of continuity is actually working against them? I think in this instance, because we're clearly, he was clearly incredibly unhappy with the defensive displays last year to concede 50 goals. And if you do a half and half, you're not actually going to resolve the problem because you still have the problem from last year. Now, he's gone out and he's cleared shop with the defenders, basically. So if you're going to clear a shop, go with your conviction and put the lads in, put the new lads in and say, right, we're going to defend this way. And if needs be, and it doesn't work out, you can revert back to what you have because he's not going to sell all the other defenders that's there. But you can change your style if needs be if it's not working out for you. But for me, it's a conflict of two studs of defending. One, one, one, two defenders wanted to sit deep under on their own box, and two wanting to go and attack and press the bar. And unfortunately, if you've got one cent a half a month full back, drop them back, and you've got one, two, the other side pressing up, your line is going to get cut out. And that was seen from early on in the actual game itself. And that's what it would look like. Love him, to me, had it had a relatively poor game. He made the wrong decisions on a go few occasions. But I could see what he was trying to do. And it was just completely out of sync what's going on and was trying to do on the other side. And if you're sent to back partnerships, or that far out of sync, I know we're talking about trying to build a partnership on the whole lot. But fundamentally, I don't think the style of defender, Martin Scirtle is suits the style of defending that I think that you have to play if you're on a play love him in your team, which is a proactive, aggressive type of defense. If you take the toward goal where everyone's criticism for being probably the biggest mistake, he does start to stand a grayer up, and a grayer will get a shot off. But he shouldn't be scarred from there. Now, in Lovren's caught wrong side, he gets back around and he stands him up. There's no way he should be scarred from there. Lovren must be taking his head fucking making his cover in his near power. I think it's interesting because when I was looking at Minuli, and you're looking straight off when you see it, say, Jesus, what position is he taking in it, right? There's two things there. He's playing, Minuli himself is playing higher in the box. He's changing his style, right? But the other thing is, when that broke, I think Minuli thinks Lovren is getting to the ball, and has positioned himself, hasn't gone drifted too far to give Lovren an angle for the pass back to him. And when a grayer will get ahead of Lovren and he's on the actual ball itself, Minuli can't recover. And straight away, a grayer will so quick a moment. If we think back two years ago, when he catches Rein it out for come, remember Rein it came out with a box and the near post and he plays with him from a near impossible angle, a grayer's brain is so quick. We're talking about a guy that's at a level that Suarez was, you know, before the start of the last season, if you're not slightly ahead of him at that point, he's a brilliant attacker. He was only on the pitch matter of seconds. And he sees it. He sees it. In that instance, he sees a slightly out of position, bump, near post and he executed. It's not just the case that he sees it. He also executed brilliantly. You could have put another eight of the players on the pitch that was there and if any of them lands in that position, the ball hits the side net because they can't get it in from that angle. I actually think Minuli is re-adjusting himself and thinks Lovren is getting to the ball and was giving Lovren an angle for a pass back because as we said, he's right footed. So if he slides in on a grayer, he can actually pull the ball back towards Minuli. And Minuli, they can't react. Now, it is his and hers, but I can sort of understand what Minuli was trying to do, but it does catch him out in the end. Yeah. You should probably make an executive decision to move away from the obvious topic that stands around here in the corner and move a little bit further on the pitch towards the midfield. Ray, is it fair to say there that that wasn't Jordan Henderson's finest tower? He wasn't his usual mobile self, certainly in terms of his torch and passing. That was definitely a step down on what he's capable of as well. And behind him, a captain who's certainly had better games too, perhaps usually a little bit better than he was the last day, but not noticeably. Would that be fair to say or would you disagree? Yeah. In regards, Gerard, I just feel now the last two games. Well, it's one of those. Everyone hates criticism, isn't that a captain? Fantastic. And you don't really deal with it. It's almost like blasphemy to say I'm bad about to go, but I found where they would just start a pit nitpick and I just thought the games, boy, pass them. I couldn't pick them offensively or defensively doing anything. If when really critical, obviously the silver run into the box really annoyed the **** at me. And I think anyone else would have got slaughtered over it. You know, no, that's the true tee. He was facing the guy. He was in front of me. He could see the guy. He wasn't running behind me, seeing the guy, and let him go. It's bad when you're a Jamie Coward, actually, man. Yeah. Now, and that's, listen, as I watched the hoylotte, the game last night, I said to me, mate, I said, "Now, Jamie, it's up to you now. Are you going to say it?" Because it has to be said, he's put him as at fault as Moreno in that call. You know, and that's the true regarding Henderson. Yeah, one of his co-op games. I went from last week, sitting in the pool, watching the game, telling friends that Jesus, I feel sorry for Henderson's missus. Both Asians wish he had a headache, a bell-fucking six nights a week because I can only imagine what he's looking to sack. He does not stop. So to go from that last week, should I say, running around. And last night, the game, I could almost say the same thing. Almost, boy, he passed me. He ran a little. His touch wasn't great. And you could see, from being told that, you know, I've seen him interview, saying that he was being told to chip in with a couple more goals. He was trying to push on, but it just wasn't happening. It was one of them games. Joe Olinnell-Chonam in midfield. Yeah. You know? Flauley, we can't carry that. Can we under par, Henderson, under par, Jared, and under par, Coutinho, we will speak a bit later on, but we just can't carry that. Can we, again, slide like that? Why do you really under par, or would you just against top quality players in there against them as well? Yeah, yeah, Torres in there, Rijus, the only big fan of five years, Div Nazri in there to Sylvan. They're all quality players, you know? Like, were they that bad that they had bad games, or would they just be with better players on the night? Niders are a particularly nice option, aren't they? No, they're not. Because they see, yeah, quality in there. They absolutely quality, and they do a cute one. They don't last night, they've already set up. We're Rijus in there. They were quite happy to kind of sit defensively. And then they had Rijus, Nazri, and Sylvan just running all over the shop, and his scone to pick them up, the handers being asked to link up with storage, so they're left with Jared and Alan. And as I said, Jared doesn't track a man, and it's not nearly, it's not now because his legs are like, "Jared, never track the man." He was always a flauntless guy. I mean, never track the man. And I was like, "Oh, he's saying his name, Rafa Vinitez." But that's why, that's why Rafa wouldn't put him in there, because he was liable to just let that go and not track it. "Get him out of the wall, he's the best in the world, you know what?" Oh, he said it last night, and I've set up for a wall. Against top quality teams, we need a top quality defense of my failure. Some of that rage and quotes out danger. Jared doesn't do that. They gave him the second goal last night. When the ball shifts, Jared and Henderson are standing there, and nobody, and I think it's your advantage. Players, the initial pass, he's in between the two. And he's there for an age before nobody even presses him or goes to press him. A top quality defense of my failure, I look back at my astronaut on the World Cup. He sittin' his side out early, and he quotes it out early, and it's done, it's dealt with. And his dealt with before I go back four hours a day with it. You know, so I think against the top quality teams, Jared still is in that role. But against the other teams, I think he does quite fine, because we've got a lot more possession of the ball, a lot more to play, but that asked him to deal with against opposition at that level. Again, he's only playing at less than 12 months. He's only playing that role less than 12 months. He's not going to change completely to become this new world-class defense of my failure. Well, if we say, look, that's pretty much par for the course for him, and maybe Henderson was less than his usual, effusive self. That doesn't really explain why Catania was quite smothered in terms of his contribution. Catania was smothered because of Fernando Regis. I've revved about that fellow for a little three or four years. But look, it's a fair point. I get what you're saying. But last week, the quality of player he was up against wasn't quite as high as what it was. But he put the Schneiderland and Wanyama did a job on him last week. They just smothered on him and just killed him out of the game and is influenced way in the actual game. I think last night with Catania, I think there's also an element of, initially, he was grand, but he seemed to be taking an extra torch, almost at his own. I keep saying that he's only a kid as well. You know what I mean? He's going to go through peaks and troughs until he comes up. And there's an argument that his best performance, his last year for us, came as one of the three centre midfielders. He's been pushed out now back to the left sort of forward slotty in terms of what it is, or for playing a fourth slotty. A fourth slotty. It's a new technical term. We're using around the top slotty and then we have the top slotty and the position slotty. We all look at Catania so much that we feel ourselves into thinking that he's going to perform every single game. Look at last season. He didn't perform the fourth half of the season. He was brilliant the second half of the season, but early on the season he wasn't. Just don't expect him much of Noah. I think he's going to be brilliant this year, but he is hot and cold. He's not going to perform in every single game. And it is early in the season again, and as it was last year, he hasn't. The thing about when we played that kind of doorman system and he's that tip of that doorman. He has to play against you. No, you take that tip of that doorman. No, you starve there front man in the ball. And that's all you've got to do. Just put one man in there, take him out of the game. And then the front man starved. So already they're 20, 40 yards. They're nearly defending against you 20, 40 yards away from that goal. Because the front man's getting up and he's getting absolutely nothing from that. There's an element for me that this team is still trying to learn how to play in a different system. And I'm not talking about defensive now. I'm just talking about it in terms of the way we've set up because we've had a team that was built around Suarez last year, right? And I know even if he was still with us, he would have been ineligible last night. So the team is trying to learn how to play differently to him. Now, when continuum storage force came into the team, we were much more as a sort of four, four, one, one with Coutinho essentially as a support striker to storage. Sterling wasn't in the side at the time, because remember Sterling was left out of the team after Christmas, more or less. And people were saying, "Would he go out alone to start the last year?" But you had downing on one side. But we kept our weight in terms of the way we were playing, and it allowed Coutinho to drift around in front of the centre backs as opposed to being able to be caught by a defensive midfielder or defensive screen that was going on. And that's where he was doing all his best work, because he was able to play those little true balls to storage when he came in initially. Last year, then we flipped it again, and Coutinho was sort of playing that left forward role for a good, in the left bloody for a while. And then his farm drops off, as Andy says. And then when he comes back into the team, he comes in essentially as an aggressive press and sentiment feeler, where he sort of played his best games for us across the season. You think back to City at home last year when he was in there, and he was going, and he was bashing the big lads that was going on again. Does this sort of trying to find their identity again as a team, and what way we're going to set up? I'd say there's as much for Rogers trying to figure out what best way to get the players to have that fit at the moment, because he's missing the land, you know, Markovitch is coming back from injury. There's all that type of going on, so you don't even know. I don't even know what his preferred formation, and I'd imagine that Brendan, with all the new players that he has there, he's not quite sure now what's his ideal formation with his best players that he has, because he's still trying to figure it out himself. Yeah, Ray, a player that's closer on heart than he started. Is he looking like a man who needs a front man up there when I'm a partner in the tackle? Yeah, definitely, and I think that's exactly what was missing. He's a weird striker arm, so you see, he can look like annoyance sometimes. He can when he wants it, but more than likely, he's drifting all over the place, and he needs a foil, most definitely. He had a couple of chances last night. Totally creative if I'm himself, and that's fine. Yeah, definitely, definitely needs his partner. Mario, who knows who knows what's going to work, but I don't even know how to order. He looked like a last man up there, like I said, we had a bit of a bar sort of just at the start of the final tour, and that link just never happened, and he seemed to be running, and he seemed to be isolated a hell of a lot last night. I mean, we're talking about another striker, but is he going to swamp the midfield with players? Is that the route he's going to go down? It's open the air. I still don't know. Like the Atlanta, Markovitch, and you just don't know what way he's going to play things, and whether that is the road he's gone down. Does that make you nervous the amount of options and therefore the variety and therefore the uncertainty? Yeah, that could be a serious bedding in period as well, where this goes on, where we establish where, you know, where we all sit here and say, right, that's our start in 11th bar, one or two, whereas now there's a mix of four or four, if I'm sort of struggling, my change of formations, and everyone's squashing everyone in everywhere, and no one quite knows just yet, but like I say, it's interesting to me, and it's the famous noise headache for a manager to come in on by Brandon. Yeah, that doesn't have that. You hasn't heard that before. Yeah. And you just, you know, we're, I wonder what the story is, but I'm sure he has a battery there with you. And I always, he's identified most of the players, I'm sure, when I told him where they came in, I'll come in, he kind of recommendation or whatever, and he's just went along with it. But he held annoying signs, I'm sure he's, he's had a major influence. Well, on the, on the Danny stories question that Ray was chatting about there, like, did you see a change in him when, when Floody's favourite player, Lambo came on? Did you see, did you see, you know, did he look at a more lively kind of a, yeah, I mean, and he, and he forward has gone to, is going to feed off another, you know, support, of course, the air. And I'm too concerned about storage at the moment. Like, it's not like storage is a target player who's involved all game every game. He's not that type of player, like he floats around and he scores a lot of goals for us, but just because he didn't get an out, a lot of touches last night, again, at the edge, he had, I'm not going to start getting more, to, you know, worry about it. He wasn't his best against Hilltown teenager. But I would not have dealt with him. He's going to score goals. Yeah, you know, I wear a guy, that's where he has some top of him, or else he has, you know, stearns. He's not joining him, doesn't he? Yeah, he has a lot of help, yeah. Stirling float, let's high end them are a market, which if he starts playing, or a line, they're like, you know, there's a lot of clever players now, like that can kind of become short or whatever can, can jump in there. I'm not worried about storage one bit. Yeah, yeah, hopefully the, the nice headache thing, how, how are you feeling about that? Like the range of options, I mean, it's clear that he does know what his best team is. Like, that's just common sense. How could he hasn't seen the player? So does that make you nervous in terms of the run of the Christmas? Not really. I'd say you'll, you'll see the majority, you'll probably stick with seven or eight players, then they will be the mainstays, know whether there's better on them on the bench, maybe, but they'll be the mainstays, I'd say, on the seven eight players. And I'd say then you may see the looks of the Atlanta market, which play a lot of cup football, be it leg, cup champions, leg, but I think I primarily explain more state, pretty much the same a lot of the time. That's probably how he's going to bed there's a lot of the end. So, so rather than just, let's chop and change every week for a leg game, let's chop it during the Champions League game and we'll try to find our best formation that way. I'm not too worried about it being on a slick, it's, it's better than the headache we had when victim, I was doing a normal one. So, like yesterday, when he actually looked at the bench, and then he actually looked, he was sitting on the stand, like, you know, he's, he's got options here. We didn't really give Joe Allen a whole lot of credit in that review that we've just on there, and I thought he was excellent, and to be fair to the kid, but he must be getting nervous when he's looking up in the stand. I can't see him getting nervous, because the thing about it is, one thing we know about Rogers over the last two seasons is that if you're performing the pitch, he'll keep it in the jersey, he'll keep it in the team, right? And Allen performed yesterday, of all the midfielders, he had the highest level of energy, he walked the sucks off, he was around the pitch, look at the force goal, Minhalei and it's Alan who's screaming at Moreno to clear the ball. Manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, manoa, at Moreno to clear the bottle, at the same time Alan deserved to be in there, for what he did when he came on against Southampton and then he's gone on and he stepped up again and he played very well again last night and the fellow needs to get the credit he deserves because you know we've waxed lyrical about Jordan Henderson over the last season in terms of the way he's progressed and looking at Alan last night, you can see this guy is well up for the fight to be in that midfield, wants to be in the team and is putting his marker down and he's not the biggest fell in the world but I'm telling you what, he doesn't, they don't take the ball off him that much, he's brilliant at Shillman and he was fiery as fuck, he was in their faces, he was nipping, he was up against Torre, he wasn't afraid to give him a whack, he was going at the lads and that was really impressive because Henderson is normally like that and I felt that that physicality that you know army has in his game was missing, yeah, Coutinho was missing the physicality in the last two games as well, when it comes down to it and that to me you're looking for leaders, their team was built around, you know, he led on the pitch and it's always been looking to who's gone to drive us on, who's gone to drive us on, you look a little sterling and he's fucking buzzing around the pitch and you know he even last night when he wasn't getting much joy, he was still a threat, he was still that little wasp getting around there in their faces and he fell, yeah, yeah, he's got a whack, yeah, yeah, I'm putting you down, it doesn't give a shit like, you know, you know, we talked about the positives, you look at that, you look at that, you look at a 19 year old kid and he's really stepping up and wants to be a leader in that sort, he's really putting his mark there, he's really saying yeah, look at Joe Allen, he's saying Jesus I've had a bit of a patchy start, but I'm here, I know I've got a shit load of competition come into the thing and I want to play some different league, he came on again to the town to that performance, he just knew he was going to start against it and he's putting another performance that makes more droppable, can comes on, whatever way you say comes on, he's hardly going to be shit in his pants, looking at chance performance and he come on, you know, and so he's a, he's a bang on star in the next game and he just has to keep, he just has to keep doing as he was doing, yeah, that's what really pissed me off during the game was that if one of the other guys had been up to the level of sterling L Allen, that game's different, but again, looking at our first thirty five minutes, we moved it around, we were just slowing our tempo, right, we had the ball, we moved around, it wasn't the fast tempo, all the good things that we do, even last week in the first half against Southampton for the first half an hour, we had a really fast tempo and we were moving the ball around quickly and it slows down and you know, there's a bit of me that says is there a conditioning level here, are we slightly undercooked in the way that we were, you know, we weren't great going up to Christmas last year, we got the points on the board and we've said it as well, it's all about points on the board till we get to Christmas time because we know that we're going to kick on after Christmas because that's just the way we're set up and you know, you're playing such a hard opponent in your second game that you can't afford to be slightly undercooked, you can't afford to have a drop off in terms of your mobility and your conditioning when you're playing against the likes of players that we have and look at naturally and silver, they're operating in between the lines and they're going against, you know, they're operating in the space with your ideas and they're focusing on our weak points because they're able to get in between Skirtland Johnson, they're looking at where Moreno and Lovin are pushing on to and are playing in behind because they're not being played off so everybody or a tier that's there, there's a lot of credit has to go to the intelligence that's in that city team, or you don't see other teams with that level of intelligence that we're going to play week in week out, now, you know, there's a lot to be said that there was positives but there's a lot, we did a lot of stupid teams and again it comes back to we've got systemic problems as we said about the defense and we still have an incredible level of stupidity in that team when it comes down with the teams, even down to the forced goal, I know Moreno's and I'm not getting on his back because of it but like it's a basic error, you know, we see it, we see but we see too many basic errors happen week in week out when it comes to goals, yeah, well look, let's finish off with something that's hopefully a little bit brighter to finish on our reflection on the match and that's the contribution of the substitutes. Ray, what did you make of Lazar, Benny, Markovic and Lambert and Emory Chan when they came on? Well, it's that way, Markovic, you impressed me and straight away is torch everything about and just look like you can see it in some players that the torch and instant, even though only a four-year pass, there's this, there's this trueness on his pass, straight away, he let Moreno in on a perfectly weighted pass, there he was only on the pitch a couple of minutes, yeah, well impressed and already in that short space, it's why he looked like that might be a bit of a link up there with himself on Moreno. Ricky Lambert, he was another, not our body in there, I felt sorry, it just is the goal, I mean he should have buried the fuck in the fours place, never mind it, any type of deflection and the seconds were around then that when he tried to swear to the story says, now if I give him that that was, I don't know whether he shaped himself to the main man or what, he's just not the fairies when I'm down, no, no, no, no, no, no, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy and he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right, he's the right guy, I'm the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, he's the right guy, I think we win one now, I think we win one now, I think if my KO and Moreno start, I think we'll be much more solid defensively and I think we win one now, that'll do, okay, if they don't, four Nelsbores, I am Lujware, you are listening to Trippins chat, with Trippins Oh, Balotelli, blah blah blah, something in the class, that's nice, okay, that's the day's striking, grass, is that my introduction, that's the introduction to Trippins chat, he's ready, he's out, he's fuckin head, Mario, there we go, Mario, Mario, Mario, he dances right, so we start Trippins chat with them, you know what I mean, musical interlude, Mario and Danny, they dance men, they score, did you see him just blanking L'Ana last night, I was like, yeah Mario and I didn't care, yeah, piss off, he was right here, you hudgensun, with the more for them sons, you're not playing for us, with the girlie legs, I love Mario scarf, right, let's start talking about Mario, talk to me about Mario, say things about Mario, it's great, it's great, like, fairness right, I'll joke on the side, it's a no risk transfer, he doesn't walk out, you still get 10 or 12 million back from, It's hilarious. Listen to people who aren't at risk, isn't it? Hilarious. What are they on about? I don't care. The fellow comes in and scores 15 golds was this year as a success. Yeah. You know what I mean? That's a goal for every million that you cost. Even 10 golds. 10 golds. That's... I'm not getting into algorithms now with this. Oh, I've got to stay away from you. I've got to stay away from you. You don't like them, do you? Jesus, I like them. I could go on the Oakland this one, right? But I'm not because he's playing for Liverpool now. He's a real player and I'm going to reserve certainly not the children and give them a chance or whatever. Yeah, it sounds like you're being really generous. I asked me this question last week. It's completely different. Like, all you think is a clown? Complete and not a clown? And then the scores that's seen in playing Liverpool. Oh, I mean, shit, shit. Lookin'. Oh, shit. I just can't even see him knock on nuclear, I'll put it away. But I saw you during the week saying here, convince me. Tell me where I was going. Yeah, we asked people to convince me. They're not even saying anything to me. There's a bit of a billion million people on Twitter. Yeah, we're not even out of all of them. There's a few wonderful owners here. They asked them, you know, he got questions, Eric answers, like, he's mad. He's a genius. He's a mad genius. He's a mad genius. These aren't attributes. That's great, though. This, you know, mad doesn't really deal for me. You know, one thing about Suarez leaving was the kind of, you know, we're out of headlines. Now all of a sudden, you have a player come in who's just going to create headlines and create problems and taking stick for Rogers, have to answer in postcards. This is our in post-match interviews. It's just going to happen straight away. Like, even before he signed, he's leaving Milan and he tells people, "I'm joining Liverpool. Tells go, I'm joining Liverpool." No one does that. He arrives at the club. He gets those as medical and he's leaving. He decides to get out of the fucking car. Love it. Gets out of the car. You have to talk to the fans. Why did he get to rock in the fucking head or something like that? Insurance, you know. I can imagine he's like, someone says something. And the next thing goes to be again, in front of the cameras, there's a big, you know, rail or whatever. Like, imagine that at the start. Like, you're putting your hands out to be slapped there. And then he's in the view. The first interview, he's asked question. Like, you know, we're playing for the fans and all that. Like, you know, there's a stock answer for that. I'm really looking forward to, you know, the fans are the best fans in the world. Like, that's what you say. Instead, he says, "Well, they're wearing very nice to me at the, you know, but that's for that football." Like, I mean, he's trying to throw on attention. Whatever. It doesn't matter. Like, it's like... Talk about the football though. Talk about what you've seen of him as a player. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Like, I've seen him playing for a city. I've seen him playing for an intern. I've seen him playing for an AC. Whatever. Like, yeah, he's okay. Like, he's a 16 million pound player. Yeah. That's what he is. But unfortunately, he brings a terrible lot of baggage that's going to put Liverpool in the round headlands again. People say that, "Oh, well, under Rogers, you know, he put his arm around them and all that." Catch us the soon, that Rogers, you know, wants to have that again. You know, that he, you know, a headache. Like, what's the worst man he has done? What's the worst he has done? Set our four walks in his house. Oh, yeah. I see him that one. But it's his house's intent to do it. That's not how we put a player in our place. But I don't give a lot of talk to himself. Listen to me. Listen to me. It's harmonious that he's doing, right? Like, it's mental, it's not harmonious. It's not harmonious that I use player. But that's... I was funny though, first. It's looking fair. When he did... Before he played for Liverpool, like, he's... But hang on a second. He scores 24 goals for us this year. He won't let you want. He scores 24 goals for us this year, though. He scores 24 goals for us this year. Down and prove wrong, okay? If he scores 24 goals... Would you not want to care what goes on the pitch? No, we had a player who bit lads on the pitch. If there's a certain... Players, we're able to certainly mount, you know, if they're top class. Like, you know, Suarez, we let him slide because he was probably the toward best player in the world. And if Mario pours out that way, we won't be shocked. We don't believe right now. If he's building three houses on his roof, we won't fucking care what's going on. No, we won't believe right now. No, we don't believe he's going to be the best player in the world. The side show that goes on with him, right? We have to put down to the fight as well. He's not that... He's not old as a player. Like, he's only a 44. Yeah, he's a 24. You know, he's... I'll come back to the whole storage thing. And Roger said it himself. He's at the last chance alone for playing for a recognized brand name football club around the world. Again, I beg to differ. He goes from Liverpool. He will go to a smaller club. Man, you know what I mean? For 79 billion. Somebody else... If it doesn't happen from a Liverpool, somebody else, he goes somewhere else. A top look on that one's thing. They won't. This is last chance... It's last chance alone. When City were prepared to sell him, there wasn't a key or close key on the board. What did you think of that very pointed reference boy brand and that it was his last chance? He went there, it was waiting a couple of times. He did the same thing with storage when he was in the club. And what he wants... That's his public admonishment to get a reaction, to make sure that he knows the player knows in his own head that this is, you get out and perform. You get out and perform, you're going to be a hero here. You don't get out and perform, you're going to be out the door. But I don't think that's going to register with Balletelli. It hasn't registered before. He files out with everyone. He's no problem. Register him. He doesn't fall out with the same mix. Balletelli has a hang-up with Lufe. Balletelli has a hang-up with Lufe. Never mind, football. He goes back to his... He had all been abandoned as a child and being brought up and being suffering at the hands of racism and all sorts. He's a hang-up with Lufe. Like, he needs to get out like he falls in his football. I'm the hang-up with Lufe. He's not a Liverpool player. I think the fella knows now that this is his chance. You mentioned Champions League there. I have to say, I'm massively excited about saying Balletelli playing in that competition and playing for Liverpool in general. In terms of the Champions League group that we might get now in the draw in a couple of days' time, what are you looking for? Are you looking for... We spoke about this before, Talad. Are you looking for a scatter of big teams? We've got instantly brilliant big nights. Are you looking at something that we might edge through? Like, what were you thinking about it? I think we're towards, so we're in the top half. We're more than likely going to get probably a top-quality, a real top-quality side in there. And that's what you want. You were paying noises at Anfield. And being honest, I don't fear it. Like, you know, whatever happens in Champions League happens. It's a bonus that we're there. Let's kind of enjoy it, let's get there. But like, I think we can get out of that group. You know, like, so we're towards it. I think we can get out of the group, that isn't chosen. That's not what you did. But have you got the fucking inside knowledge again? Did you get a text message? What's the name of the group? Well, it gets... Who have we got the word, towards it? Barcelona. No, but you don't put in... You don't put in all the pots. Nah, but... Hang on a second, everyone's in the top one, okay. We're going to struggle to be probably best now. We're going to struggle to be in Madrid. We're going to struggle to be brilliant. All right, then you look at the second one. Fucking hang on a second, we can actually deal them. I wouldn't fear them too much. Everyone that's in their own pot, they say, "Yeah, I wouldn't fear any of them." And anyone's blouse and the fort, whatever. So yeah, fuck it, we'll be any of them as well. So you'd be looking to kind of say, "Listen, we should be good enough to get out of this group." Like, we are now what Amfield is on European. Like, it's fucking different, you know. And I tell you something, because we haven't been there for so long, I'd say the fucking roof is going to come out of the place. I hope so. I hope so. And it's a culture. Like, teams hate going there in European. It's, you know, you win two, your home games. What can game only, you know, getting out of that group? Yeah, the atmosphere is very edgy the last day, and I'm feeling so, like, that's exactly what I'm hoping for. It's kind of that real excitement to come back. Ray, is that the thing that's exciting to you most? Yeah, most definitely. Or is it the starting of the mystical, magical, famous Amfield atmosphere? And it's, I don't actually care who we get in the draft. That's the gods on the street. I've said it before. Years out of competition means it's a special place, and I know we could be anybody right now. For the young characters, there's something special goes on at Amfield. But being there numerous, numerous times on European lights, and it's you're afraid nobody. The crowd fairs, nobody. And it's something special. So bring it on. I don't, I honestly don't care who we get. Yeah. Bring it on. And so there's no particular dream opposition for you. No, I think it's probably written in the stars about bass, I probably, you know, book that's, um. No, no, I, I, anybody doesn't matter. Maybe, maybe somewhere cheap to get it far in the way, guys. That's a very good point. That's a very good point. If you just say it, we get first known, and fucking Suarez boots pallet heliars on. Like, I don't know. Ballet heli boots a biker. Holds him a swear war. Shocks it to his back. Sent him over the stands. Freaking stairs. Yeah, that's exactly right. We're going to, we're going to play against Suarez. Eventually, you know, sure. I wouldn't, I wouldn't need to hear about it. It was this season and this group, you know, whatever. Barcelona be a great team to come down. If you bit, if you bit one of our players, what would you think of them? Like, you should, you just, yeah, I don't know. You're just going to pass along the scumbag. Yeah, yeah. You're just going to laugh. Life time band, life time band. Unless he's going back. You just don't, you just don't know. That's right. It's like, giving up, giving the kind of second guess on why he's gone to do, like, you know, you just wouldn't know what he'd do with his cards. You just wouldn't, you just couldn't picture him. I don't care anymore. Like, well, that's, that's where we are. It has to do a lot for me to hate. We'll have to be honest. Yeah, I hope we get first. I hope we get first. I always will. Yeah. I do hope we get first. Look, if you're going to meet the Champions League, you want to play the best teams, right? The way I say it, the Champions League, the actual competition. You can play the better teams out by going forward and the competition. The competition this year for us should be seen as a bonus in terms of where we end up, right? I don't think there should be any pressure on the team to get out of the group, whatever. Just get in and make a go to counter themselves. Let Brendan Rodgers get used to Champions League football. And the main thing has to be to cement the Champions League football for next year, which cements us as a Champions League team, which means that when we come around to transfer window next year, we can do the same stuff again. So to me, let's get in and enjoy it. I'd love to see a group. Fucking Barcelona, Dortmund, whoever we can get, right? All the big teams, because I think our team plays better against the big sides. I think it naturally, you know. Whatever our team. The goal is to be back in. What it is, you know, the crowd will be fucking buzzing if you have the big teams going to Anfield. And the big teams will go to Anfield and they'll fear and they'll also look forward to going to it. And you know, you're going to get good games. You're going to get really exciting things to sit back and watch when it's on. So I'm all over it. You'll see the team getting welcome, but the boss halfway throughout again, you know, things like that. I mean... Because it's Europe, because it's Champions League. Yeah, yeah. Like everybody, everybody is just buzzing for this. Like, I mean, it's just, it's just the main. It's just the main and failing. Every time you think about it, you're back in the Champions League. You know, we've fallen all over the Champions League, like, torn against it. I can't watch it. But, like, think back five years ago when you were in it, like, you know, Tuesday nights at Wednesday nights, it was just amazing, you know. Sitting in your gaff, field bottles, like, are going to the games, trying to get tickets and the balls all over there, like... Oh, that's the day. It's just a habit trip. It's going to be just a habit. Just to have a back. Back is just amazing. It's like, it's hard. A week off work, seriously. It's hard to put into words. I don't even even need to deal with your Barcelona. Like Barcelona and the Elite, they were, they could be worried about all our teams and bars. The bars would be great when you know the trip. I'd be into the Neil Camp and all. It's a great trip in a while with the fans, like, so... Yeah. There you go, now. You're not either at the Coca-Cola Cup. What's this going on here? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. MK, don't I think James is gate beat them there? They probably did. I had a friend who got a couple of words back there. He made them all in play against MK Dance a few weeks ago. That's fun. And he's done the midfield, like, oh, boy. No, no, no stuff. No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. You know it, they've got to swing him. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. People over there, James is going to be there. Get on there, Louis. Yeah. If you're listening, Gav, Kenny, little, Gav is out. Right, let's have a look at another few of these little topics that have been suggested by various people. The next one is from Paul Murray. It is completely non-football related. Paul wonders if, Annie, if you could go on any game show, past or present, which one would it be? Well, it wouldn't be Jim, I'll fix it. There, yeah. Not strictly a game show. I was just like this. Not strictly a game show. Was a game show to him? I used to, I used to just, I don't, I don't take it on a top. Fucking hell. All right, next one, next one's from Carl, Carl's wondering, he said, basically we all want Brandon Rogers' new teeth. They are beautiful. What other managers features would you nick if you could? How's a marino's flu? Apparently it's a monster. The longest in the shower, John, was only able. I don't know where it is. I don't know where this river. Any other, any other managers' features? There are sessions, managerial. I don't even know who manages the teams. I don't know who manages the teams. I don't know who the bomb track a mortgage is. Well, the last one is from Liverpool Pride, and the question is, what's the best ointment for an itchy towel? I don't see it at all, I'm sorry. We don't know what an itchy towel is. I don't know what a itchy towel is, I don't see it at all. Just to conclude with some odd men, as always, we mention Astro Park. If you want to play five or seven inside football, you get onto them and you book a game on www.astropark.ie. Our website www.lfcdaytrippers.com is a place where you're going to find a lot of high quality content. Get on there and be impressed. I'm finding your day trippers tonight where Ray Brady, Chris Bascom, Ed from Wheeler dealer radio, Andy Young, Damian Flood, Phil Casey, and myself Trev Downey. There's a fair few at a last player there. There's only a Manchester, and the team. Dean Maria, Dean Maria is playing. Dean Maria is playing. Dean Maria. Did anyone see that fucking, was it Eurocentred on? Do you want me to rap? They took our devil, and we've gotten a Ranger Angel, yeah. Oh my dear God.
