Yeah, go for a chance Yes It started in my man with me and you Didn't I face you? at dinner But he cried into the face and says you won't ever to fight them all Again outside the door It's great again and say you're a bet me back you're done a lot of help and the more and That was about 30 people there at the time witnesses Thank you very much, that's just not gonna get tough. So just move on to the next one That is not getting tough all right I have no idea what this next one is about so fellas need to help me out here at this from last dog And he asks who would you rather be I don't hear these people are handy money or baby Jake? I don't know what that's about. I'll be worried about being handy money cuz I actually don't think he's legal in America I think you know green hat You're always worried about the boys coming down resting. So you know what we're talking about here. What's the show? Yeah, honey money that hill expert. Okay. Yes Yeah, so we eyes all these little hills that's harking off just flea bay and torn on all the screwdriver's nothing and Soins at the end of the road break and he goes down fixes them all then but I don't actually think he's a legal over there And we have to say that if it was not the only be baby Jake Next one I'm just feeling I know what's gonna happen here on this question, but I'm gonna ask you anyway This is from a fellow called Marco. I don't know who he is, but anyway, he's asked the question He said basically you have your own shark tank at home like a bond villain would have right So you can choose who goes in it. I'm not even gonna read out Marco's suggestion cuz I just know who you're gonna put on I'm I right? Let me see I've made a little resolution to myself that I'm not gonna answer all these questions, but real for This is one more time I could answer a fucking real Go go a different direction with this and one one that's got me today is Tony Gail Oh, yeah, it was a town's end and Who wants to stay clean aimed that should be in a head of storage Storage and staring shouldn't be shouldn't be in the bin squad or something Yeah, but I did we're odd and just towns and then some other clowns Get in the tank And he looks like a smoked dolphin as well That's a genetic condition Dolphins are assholes apparently I don't know if you've heard that I've watched the cold if you haven't watched the cold Go watch that and then come back to me tell me their assholes. Oh, it's a very sad story Jesus you're a glum bastard is even Say we are magnificent Marco this is from Floyd Nundi and Floyd asks if you could murder one famous person and get away with who would it be? Justin Bieber donations to my paper Please Oh There's already one third African on trial for motor you want to be Just be completely Next up is Paul Paul asks looking back over the years What has been your greatest fashion fall part now we've all had one of these surely I'm a broidsome Particularly nice slacks in the eighties were a fleck through them. That was just pretty disgusting and the young honey I can stick it out there a mile. That's that was bad, but you're you always effortlessly classy. That's good. Good lads. Good lads I had weight chains. Well, it's in white chains I'm genuinely still fucking upset about that All four things more than God. What was I think did they get repeated wearing no the knees right? Yeah, did you know about it? I had was me dabs when I went to me devs. I had an absolute horrific waistcoat It was a tank and a tent in Diki vulnerable God was I think Okay, okay. Next question up is from Derek Derek says you're an actor who would you get to play? You're a leading lady. I'm just trying to think about this myself. Anyway, anyone. Let me show it Rachel voice Rachel voice I always leave that up. Would you say you'll get Steve'll probably even Mendez for me even Mendez Okay, Marco Um Marianne Cottalott. She was in the dark night rises. She was the bad girl. Yeah, very very nice very very nice Okay, for obvious reasons. I think next one opens from Lucy Lucy says if you could be a member of a successful rock or pop group I present the currently existing one. Which one would you choose and what would you play in it? Well, I think I would just go into arcade fire because there's about 10,000 of the fuckers And they won't know it's me son in the background. Um, anyone else got any shares for their paul brand? Would you like to be in a band? May I probably join you two and disband them or something? Steve's early here you offer Um, I think probably just gonna get a bit of common condemnation. Uh, probably cold play Yeah, oh, yeah, I'm gonna be cold play fan. I played the drums I do I do play the drums so I would I would fancy myself to be halfway Decent at that rather than trying to start playing the guitar It would be unusual to get on stage with them and not be able to play the guitar and just pick one up So you're straight up cold play fan. No problem. No problem. I'm okay with that because you're okay. Yeah Okay, I'm wearing this shirt. I clearly don't mind what people think Next one's from Nick. Nick is a bit of a twitter Photoshop terrorist as I know to my cast And he says would you rather have your life commentated on by john mutton or have peers morgan interview every night? This is this is an interesting and this is the best question ever Would you would you rather have your life comment down by john mutton or have peers morgan interview every night? It's a fucking hellish choice. There's the commentary. Sorry. Is that out loud? It's not just in your head. So it's like I think everyone can hear this shit I'm going with that. I know that That's an impossible question answer It's like you know It's really that extreme for you Well, if you asked me and go muddies commentary I can't be doing that or fucking If you ended up having peers morgan interview every night you would kill a famous person I think you would This is going to dark places q on at nave q on he asks what's worse Losing the title through a last minute colo on goal or a hot wet oiling massage from Roy hudson another fucking oh my god There we go my god It's up to you Talking about the devil's come and whatnot The devil has a nightmare. This is it. I'm not talking about colo's own goal So You're on the spot you're on the spot. We've got we're gonna lose the league or you get you have to accept it and oiling the size from right Come on man. You're on the pressure go for it I'm taking care of you Well It's gotta be it's gotta be a reason because it's always next to the next season It's always next season, but if the thing was really odd to not because I'm not even gonna repeat it. That's just that you're scarred for life That's not going away They're both kind of tragic situations tinged with a bit of dark comedy But they're like I'm fairly desperate this stage for Liverpool to win the league so What sort of you want to use right? I'm the same on me up. I'm on Okay, next one is I know we've got a few here from gray First one from gray says hey and he asks what's the best sauce on a bacon buddy? Aspiketchup, huh? No, no, we are brown sauce. Keep it real make your make the sample about the bacon You don't you don't need no substitutes in there make the sandwich about the bacon Good bread good bacon get it in your gut what bready for Louie Suarez job done What bread maybe or maybe a nice chipata? No, no, no, I might go for an old uh, evoker bloomer mix seed What it says we say it's bloomer bloomer. Yeah, and what you got to do is you got to cut the bloomer Right down the middle so you get the two biggest slices and then you cut out from the middle on both sides So that the other people get smaller and smaller To know the best thing about this is I know you didn't even prep that and you've just come up with it on this No, listen, that's exactly what I do The only thing this and what you got it, you know the best thing you don't put sauce What you do is you go up to kill those butchers up a kimaj class and you get some of their boy put And you spread that you spread that on the bread like butter just spread it on it's not not that clonic Guilty stuff that crumbles. It spreads on then you're buying your bacon on boom Job done job done Suarez Louie Suarez job. Okay. Nice one. Next one up is from the last one from gray And he says if you accidentally bump into a car in a car parking and there's a conscience test Do you leave a no? Yes, leaving all the just as well Right last one is for everybody when started the till ads and the line was started to you marco Is from moly and moly wants you to finish this sentence. He says if Liverpool win the league I will Marco Oh, just run that trust me again to the league. It's if Liverpool win the league I will I'll be speechless. I'll be speechless. Nice one James Okay, I don't drink so I just you know just eat all my favorite things You know carry on until I'm done. I think mr. Singer be a busy man Basically, yeah, yeah, I didn't want to put it into the cross clubs We've had several already 11 o'clock. I'll be there in the doors open. I'll still be there 11 when they show I have paul brand if Liverpool in the league you will I honestly probably would take a week off work and drink myself into a fucking oblivion. Yeah, that sounds like a look Yeah, that's one time on all the probably sunny. Yeah Sit down there. You know a beer garden all fucking day every day for for a week. Yeah, logical logical flowdy Cory you will cry. Yeah. Yeah, how long will that last man? Okay, yeah, so you think that'd be immediately reaction. That's good. Definitely. Yeah, we've jumped a crook. Yeah A crook watching handled I think you're tearing up there I mean the closest so far like to really enjoy was the champions lake and when I was over there And they didn't really get a chance to celebrate a property because like it was straight onto a coach back to the airport It was a fucking disaster in the airport like people were just collapsed all over the shop So with with the league like you know, I'm going over for the last game anyway So I just got for a bit. I don't fucking know like I really would be very frightened from your own safety But I but I just it's just like, you know, he's just going words couldn't describe how fucking happy I'd be After the champs leg like it throw it down And I was still driving around the estate like we're fucking Liverpool flag at the window Like if we're seeing us really annoyed Drawing by both stops and sticking fingers Just being an asshole like so Excellent. Excellent. Okay. See what would you get a year out? Yeah, what a nice fucking year Every day. Yeah, go Phil. I'd boy and allie sasoko jersey with the champions patches on the arms Fucking brilliant. I wear it. I wear it non-stomping day Look a big bad kulji. He's a guy. I'll be wearing the allie sasoko steve daily if they were pulling in the league I will finish the sentence for me to take a picture of myself in the nip with a pair of women's tights over me now I'm holding on the day tripper's account Oh, fucking yes That is fantastic That is fan fucking tell you now What about you Trent? What would you do? Uh, let me see Well, I'm kind of half famous from official there. So I'll grow a Hitler moustache out and I'll wear it for a month Nice Will you keep will you keep will you keep waving to people? I'm here. I'm fucking saying no. We're later hosings. Well, no, I don't know if you do that, right? Yeah, if we win the league you do that and we get the picture together. Actually we get the picture together. That's the one fucked up picture Okay So let's begin with our assessment of potentially significant three-point haul Which was said time to nail Liverpool three wasn't the easiest game to watch at least until sterling's gold changes There were uncomfortable moments of plenty and luck was definitely on our side But three points um three gold scored and unconceded and I went on the road So it feels like every game is massively significant now But to move into second place at this point of the season has to be psychologically huge does it not and you? uh, yeah massive um like some people are starting to Talk about toilets You know, can we talk about toilets now? I think we should have the title talk. Um, it's it's a tall order You know four points behind with so little games left like we're been able to drop some points But you know to be talking about it even it was just you know a magical before the season So have you found yourself beginning to have that chat with yourself or with other people? Um Yeah, like I like to say it, but you know realistically, you know It's a tall enough order, but I just absolutely delighted that you know top fours Lady lady guaranteed now. Would you say that? Yeah, yeah, okay. Okay for your interest because it's just like seven points out You made up now, you know, and I just don't see Tottenham having a hundred percent records for the rest of the season almost dropping enough points You know, you would hope so steve daily as a resident realist stroke pesmus Do you feel that at this point the title tilt is actually a reality? Possibility um, yeah, I think possibility. Yeah, um People are going on as though, you know, we're going to win the league I know it was sung in jest after the game on uh on saturday. Um, I thought how many those are joking to be Yeah, maybe not maybe not but then you know fair enough But my opinion on it and i've said it a couple of weeks ago If we can get to the end of march if we can get through the united game the sundryland game And trying to think who the other one the sports game actually is the last game in march if we get through them We have effectively taken spurs out the equator for for top four. Yeah, right and then It's all to pay for if we've if we've effectively guaranteed ourselves champion's league Whatever better pressure was on us nearly comes off us again So it's less pressure with six games go and that's that's the way i'm looking at it for me if we're still there Three four points five points even left At the end of march with six games to go then that's when i'll start That's when i'll start talking about us being really in with a show because the next couple of games after that Coming up or or the two of the next three i think are our chalcy and city Can't be certain on that in terms of my head where the fixers are at but they're quite close after that And they're the games, you know if we want to win the league we have to beat those teams But we have to still be in a with you know in a position to do it at the end of march for me to start thinking Yeah, where some people are now i can call be there you'll be there at that stage. Yeah Paul, what do you think would you be inclined to agree that this? Shout is it's possible? Yeah, it's definitely possible like you have to say that when you're only four points off like And the games are kind of the games are kind of running out like first But then I think the game against chalcy would be massive because I can't see them dropping any points at all with marinio And they're like they're the wind they got against everything just kind of that looks real kind of ominous stuff Like they're like they're they really ground that one out so Um, yeah, it's definitely possible. I like like stay. I was saying kind of end of march So for april i'll see where we are But I'd like have to say like on the one we've been on recently maybe sometimes I do get a bit carried away and say, yeah, I have a fucking win Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Like it's it's hard not to like well, you have that's a fun kind of let yourself go a bit sometimes like like we've been a bit And we've had a tough few years Well, that's just a part that's not I think I think enough lot of people are getting on that bandwagon because Look, jeez, it's nice to actually be Positive for once like we've had so much bloody misery. I mean like I mean you can forgive people for letting go a bit can't you? Yeah, definitely What's the what's the point in being a fan if you can't really wonder when you get into a position like this Especially after like like Andy said it was inconceivable Like even in the last couple years thinking that we'd be challenging for the title So when it was happening you have to enjoy it like yeah, you have to say it's like kind of well, what happened here? Why it's like like a code happens. Oh sure. I'm telling me float round it out and by telling us what do you think This is a real realistic option enough for us to be champions at the end of the year Oh, he said it to a field of boys last week that just something ever made was one that was a massive crossroad guys right? Yeah, I'll be saying it was Oh, he felt after Saturday if we could get a result there there was something on and I Remember kind of background it was in 97 98 We we had a real crossroad game and it was Coventry City away No, when you know someone and we end up losing and that was a real kind of crossroads up that season And we never really caught up after that Or you all just feel airtight as a rope right now like Chelsea We expect them to get through the next Champions League again See he might not are going to struggle out there But he did not ever just yet the longer they stand that competition the better For for all the worst concerns But we've got 10 games now that we can we can take one boy one and like Chelsea play Arsenal I think the sports RS on the next game is at home Give it over home. We have the sports around the sports could get anything out again Anything at all and we win our next leg and only two points behind them. They still have to come to us So it's it's not unconceivable that that we can't win it It's definitely in my opinion. We're still on. Yeah, we're still on Yeah, I was waiting for after the second game because that was the crossroads game for me And the fact we've got triggered and got I know it wasn't comfortable for the first half But when you look at the end of the game, we were efficient and we got a result and Like it wasn't just a one-nil away scrappy win Like we had no training and they that's sending out songs to other teams But we're willing to score we're going to score against this and and that that kind of gets into other teams heads a little bit Well, we keep you know, they've done it for years They could just always keep picking up results And I think we some of our little bit in the background more is thinking We can folk up here at only one because that's why it's been for 20 odd years But maybe this year is different. I think that that's so much again. Yeah So Shame on change on see you would you tend to think that psychologically we have that advantage at the moment perhaps that we'd never had before I know I know we're ahead of where we were in the In the last title challenging season that we had in terms of pointing the board at this stage Do I think that's a psychological advantage? Yeah, the dad and and lots of other stuff that seems to be coming together at the moment Um, well, you know, momentum's a kind of a vague concept, isn't it? And you know, some people Don't know if anyone reads the tomkins times, but there's been stuff on there where they study, you know results and statistics Exhaustively and they don't really think momentum is kind of Is um is the thing is a fallacy, but I don't know. I mean the spirit at the moment is going to be very good I mean from our point of view because of the fact that we're really not under any pressure You know, I target this season was you know, I mean, I've done about the rest Yeah, I didn't expect this to even finish in the top for this season I thought we finished fifth or six and I thought if we can challenge at the top four that represents progress We didn't actually do that last year. So I think the position we're in is one where we're really under no pressure and we think well Anything's possible and if you know if we finish we wouldn't be devastated if we finish fourth But we're probably now at this stage where we think oh, you know if we we we finished third that would obviously be That would be a must of achievement for us. Just eat even to to to get ahead of arsenal. Um, but You know, there's 10 games left It's at that stage of the season where Um, it's a bit like being mid-table in the championship at the moment and having to go at the playoffs You know a good run of form can take you anywhere Yeah, and you know from our point of view really we've we've got Seven games most of which we would be favorites for united are probably the one exception But I mean they're very vulnerable at the moment And then if most of those games go to you know follow the odds and the odds would be in our favorite in most of those games And we can actually get you know putting three big performances in the luck is with us on the day against Tottenham Because that's one of the tougher home games and against Chelsea and against city You never know. I mean you look at Chelsea's fixtures in terms of actually winning it the Chelsea's fixtures look relatively favorable Um, and they're very good at setting up for these big games with marinio, but um, I'm just delighted to be where we are If we don't really sustain the challenge, I'm not going to be devastated because at this point We'd have to drop the ball in quite a big way to not finish in the top Yeah, that seems yeah, that seems to be very much a thing that we we are at least um Almost confident of that. Let's think let's let's get into some specific exchange scenes We have you on the line there and let's think about Brendan and how things went there specifically A lot of big calls from uh drop and sterling and then bring him in when he did And the midfield set up the diamond all the rest. Well, let's start with that and and how you felt that worked It didn't do this much for the diamond that he spoke about linked afterwards. How did you feel that word? Well, I mean, I think that in terms of the the approach we took I think the key to it is in what jeera i've said in this interview after the game where he said, you know, the idea really was I mean, he didn't say that it was in place that, you know pat the midfield I mean you can take that as red when a team sets up with basically what is you know in one configuration or the four central midfielders And then go long to find the two strikers because they're going to be against the team you'll push the four bucks on home They're going to be two versus two and that was in in that respect it worked perfectly We didn't dominate possession that none of the midfield is none of the four central midfield has really kind of had a Big impact on the game particularly in the first half and you know katie That's probably the one you who you would think could but he just didn't have a technical game and obviously, you know as to whether or not it was a You know right or wrong to drop sterling or not. I mean i've come to that but I mean in terms of the midfield What what did work beautifully for us is the fact that um What what jeera i talked about going along and finding the strikers that worked flawlessly because not only did it lead to the throw Which ultimately led to the goal it also led to our two other really good chances Spining the strikers in the channels and then they're cutting up about the it happened storage early on where he nearly set swires up And it happened where he set swires up for the shot that borrowed saved Um, and that was what got us into the league in the first off. You know, we defended relatively well You know none of the midfielders individually did that brilliantly in the first off But I mean a lot of people were quite worried at half time and um, i've got to say i wasn't to be honest i was i was relatively Sort of uh, they've had a couple of good chances, but now i thought um I thought we'd done pretty well, you know, you're gonna concede some chances, but I mean that's the sterling and continue Um, you know two games in a row now rogers has made two decisive It's not just a stir. I mean obviously the most important thing sterling comes on these scores inside 80 seconds But he was shown for the ball much better than continue as well. No, no, I mean If he's putting in victor moses instead of sterling then yeah, that would be a bizarre decision but in continue in instead of sterling No, I wouldn't say so and I mean and as I said, I was never Too apprehensive about this game compared to a lot of people because I always thought the option was going to be there for us We've got two world-class strikers We thought we always have the option of getting the ball to them long and getting it south I'm to not on kind of run away counter attacks But just isolating them where they're light on numbers and as jerelle said the you know after the game Do you want to play two against two versus one of the storage? Well, you know all the best here Yeah, that worked flawlessly to be honest. Absolutely. Um, marco lopez. Could we bring you in here on this discussion here? How did you feel joe alan went in the midfield diamond and how did you feel that system worked overall? Now I was pretty happy with joe. I thought that joe Added a lot of the the haltat the the compactness that we needed in the game and and made things pretty Pretty even up and tight in terms of obviously trying to Load the mood field in in the way that we needed to because we needed I don't know if you guys have mentioned it already But I thought that one of the really clever things that That brand and brandon obviously wanted so that empton to do was try and Force them wide and and and not be able to attack through the middle like they like to do. It doesn't mean that that That we we got all the joy wanted because there's still got some very good chances going forward But I thought I thought alan was okay. I think he he and handerson linked up really well and trying to to crowd that midfield area So snaddling and coke didn't get as much joy as they normally would like so Um, I thought he kept it pretty neat and tidy and it was very combative in the midfield Which was great because it forced them to go wide A lot more often than I think they expected to at least Speak to me about um about cutinio and about sterling and mortal point the the idea of taking sterling out of a solid he could be introduced which had That's to be honest a remarkable effect in the game does that Immediate impact just to fight even the man in the first place the idea of a strong bench Yeah, I'd say so because I think Full continue is it's it's a strange situation with with continued because I don't I don't really think Continue is a 10 He's an iniesta style eight. He's he works superbly in a four three three and and especially one where he's deeper lying so Um, I have to be honest when the team sheet came out. I was a bit disappointed that that continue it was starting I really thought that that sterling's energy would be great. I was very happy that all of us starting. Yeah, so I think I think the way that that set up Um, I just I just felt that that continue didn't didn't manage to the the the problem is If if Brendan obviously Brendan had intended to play the diamond formation Before the game because it was going to add some advantages and enforcing so that him to the wide but You know, I can understand his pattern of thought. He's probably sitting there thinking I've got to play a diamond. I've got to have someone at the top of their diamond It can't really be sterling because you know, he's never done it before Yeah, and sterling ended up doing doing a makeshift role there pretty well when he came on. So Yeah, I think Full he also looks a bit tired to me. I don't know if you guys agree, but he looks like he he needs maybe a one games break or something Um, maybe this this international break will give him a chance to rest up a bit. Yeah, perhaps perhaps as good show Um steve daily in re what regards to the the tactical battle much was made of Pottuccino versus Brendan and how he was out smarted by by pottuccino in the past It is it just a bit smog? And and revisionist to say that he won the battle today the last day or do you think that Brendan did actually come out on top and that? tactically speak um Personally, I think the the talk of how successful the diamond was is a little bit overplayed You know my thinking on it is we were One little up at half time, but it's probably a lucky one. No in a sense. Well, maybe lucky is harsh But it could have quite easily it could quite easily be what you know, it could have been too one to them in a sense You know what I mean? We've hit the we've hit the post we've um, you know Minule is made an absolute fucking class save Um as well, and you know, we could have gone into one down there the game is completely different We didn't um, but I don't I think lana got us run on jarred so many times I think the diamond afforded luke shot so much time and space on the ball to whip in cross after cross They they were able to to target johnson at left back and you know You know tried their best to make bit of him and he helped them as much as he could Um, I felt and um, you know had it been another day where ricky damber got you know a little bit better service Or or jarred rega's got in behind we could have been talking about a completely different game I know it's all hypothetical, but I think personally the the amount of hype i've heard since saturday about how good the How good the diamond is and how how well it worked. I think is a little bit overplayed. Yeah, uh, okay. See you want to say something about this Yeah, just on coming back to the diamond and and what went down with it like I said, I actually tweeted from from the account at half time that that was the scaldiest half that I could remember That we played all season and we went in at one there and we've gone in and other games where we've been You know, we've conceded to look against villa and stuff like that where the performance wasn't actually that good for the first half And I thought we Had the early goal gave a great phillips was what we seemed to fall off a wee bit in terms of intensity that we had Um, let it sort of said to our defense right you go and defend this lead now for as long as possible And the way our defense is being playing it was hardly the most inspiring our confident thing to do now It worked. I said we got away with it. We had that the chance that came off the post But we weren't I don't think there was a single one of us It wasn't released to get in at half time and be one to look because it was it was it was January and he was the scaldiest um game at forest halfway from america Like I was fucking shitting bricks. They could go on true for about 24 minutes at a forest half Two things two things. Well, well, I'll be there first of all You're gonna need to explain scaldy for a non double nurse. What's up? What's scaldy? There was lots of shit things that we got away with we got away with with the one-nil a half time And that's that's a huge thing. There's there's been times where we we've deserved being in the lead against teams There's been times where we've been behind teams because we haven't played well So I'm saying it's a scaldy half It's it's a one-nil that you're just happy to get in at you You can build on it from there with the lead and in your back pocket Well, that's really trying to stay to the agenda and talk to me about the role of of bren and rudders in this Scaldy first half and the deliberate change of system which he said he practiced all week with this time And attempt to counteract say at anthem Should he have tinkered or should he have just left it? I mean, we saw what happened when starting came on Well, I don't mind bren and trying things out because he's tried a number of different things again So tamped in the last couple of games and none of them came off So he went with the diamond in this instance and it came off Yeah, now you can't turn around it after the event where we won the game and said it was a stupid idea But like let's be honest about it the forest half would hardly be an indictment to use the diamond on a regular basis And I think I think we we gave up the wings And we left ourselves very open down the flanks, which is what seltantan exploited seltantan could have had two or three goals before half time And let's not cut ourselves. They could have had two or three goals. Yeah. Um, and really, you know We started although we were trying to play a diamond Alan and Henderson spent an awful lot of time playing this more traditional flankers and leaving Gerard then to try pick up Both cork who was coming on snorling and anyone else who was supporting la all our three guys dropping into that space to double team And that's why we were under so much pressure for for 24 40 minutes and the forest half. Yeah, I'd be young You're not fan of the donut. Yeah, no, I'm not sure how much I agree when I go there saying Rogers is purposely forcing them away. Um, I think it'd be a Bold meal for Rogers to force. I need to him away against Liverpool is where my most vulnerable For whipping balls in and trying to expose Johnson and Flanagan one-on-one like it's just so so it Liverpool are best when they turn it over to play in the middle of the park of anything You want teams to play down through the middle and win them win the in the middle And if you have continue on there, you just get the ball forward quick or Jared and pick out a pass So no, no way. I mean, it's not it's not a huge tactical victory. Okay. They won the game But certainly wouldn't like to see that going forward too much um Liverpool could have been in big trouble at halftime for 20 minutes like credit to yourself times and they kept going what they were doing at all like Any minute we could have put a ball over the top and got in behind them because there was so much space like the highline they played But they still got it and they were very unlucky not to have something not to have a lead at halftime Yeah, uh last point on on on on Brendan, I suppose in from the manager's perspective There was a bit of a chat going around earlier on about um Brendan's media work And uh, I think a little bit unfair stuff being said about how he still likes to gap a bit much In my own personal opinion demands really really come on a lot Sorry to have just one thing before we go on to the media parrot, right? Yeah, we've been critical of Brendan's in-game management Um throughout the season, right and I think over the last couple of weeks Since we're talking that he was actually he he his in-game management on Saturday was exceptional when the substitution he did make Like bringing sterling and changed the way we were playing and the way we approached the game It was doing at the right time in the actual game It was something that we talked about we had an option off the bench Which is something that at other times of the season we haven't had Um, and it gives him selection headaches in terms of who he's going to pick and you've got to commend them for using the substitution Do you feel that you've done it earlier than you know? Yeah, well that that is that is the point I was making earlier on is that you know The fact that starting was there to be introduced You could say that that worked and that that you know that that was the impact so up and and that was Brendan's setup But similarly you could argue that if starting has started the game called gone completely different Yeah, I know but I'm just I'm just expounded the fact that we've criticized in game management He recognized an issue that was in the team and he addressed it earlier than he has in previous games And he should be commended for that because that's that's another growth in in Brendan as a manager himself Happened straight after continue losing the ball as well He turned around pretty much straight away and since normal, but that that was going to say But the way the dilemma walked with continue playing in there That suits Nordland down to the ground because he wants to stand you up. You want to try to take him on He's going to do it. What's there? Normally come on is he ran off snodling snodle doesn't want to track here because like that's a horrible role to do But where continue was getting and he was trying to take snodling on that's so snodling down Because he's a big fucking rangy lad and he was putting challenges in where when it's sailing on it He knows his goal. It's just his movement that does snodling It's not really what he does on the ball. It's his movement and snodling just kind of keep open Where continue wants it to feed and he wants to try take him and dribble past him That's so much northern. That's where I was breaking down with with continue I think the system would have probably worked perfectly with sailing in there. It may have been not totally For now, like I say, just to finish out with this thing about looking at the manager specifically Paul brand, do you think it's fair to say that brand Rogers the man who's learned His lessons about talking to him much in me I was looking to the sky interview afterwards and they were desperately trying to get him to commit to yeah Yeah, we're gonna win the league and come on all Kevin Keegan, but he just straight back at it He was he almost laughed at them and dismissed it and one game at a time mantra. It's good to see isn't it? Yeah, basically I think he just said that it was kind of the fans job to kind of get excited about stuff like that So like yeah, he's dead right like there's no point in there Because he came out a few times and said that we were challenging for the title and like there was some poor results after And then yeah, like then there was another time he came out and kind of said no I never said that there were a challenger for the title and you were kind of sitting there well Well, you did say it so yeah, it's so yeah, it's nice to just see him kind of like not getting too excited or anything like that Like you said he stood just straight back the sky questions So they were obviously trying to like trying to get the quotes out and get a headline out of me wasn't having any of it So yeah, absolutely well, let's start moving our way through the through the team then I should always start and have a look at the defense which came in for a lot of criticism some quarters and a lot of people thought they were very very good um first thing is saying back for now I've heard a lot of reports about how agron scarlet did wonderfully together as a pair Personally that didn't come over to me. Um, I found it all a bit shaky I think we always look shaky on crosses, but um, james on how did you feel the two guys did for a second game in a row together? A lot of other were against what was it? Do you take what's doing? No, I thought they um, I mean my impression first off was that they did pretty well without kind of without looking like absolute wheel beaters because they're not Um, I think second half Generally everyone was a bit better. I thought defensively we were possibly a bit more proactive in the in the second half of anything But I mean, um They are what they are, you know, they're both capable of having very good games. They just don't really do it consistently Um, you know, I was probably the more impressive of the two and I mean school has at times this season, you know had Had games where he's looked excellent um I mean, my feeling going to this game was that you you're probably going to get a slightly more um Uh alert mentality in a way defensively because you know, we've we've been to south anthem once and lost Everybody knows it on paper. It's quite a difficult fix. You're going away to south anthem and I think It's probably been times where we've become that good at home. We've become that good at just, you know taking a step to teams That you know, maybe we're we're just not a switched on Um to fancy it's kind of it's hard things quantified It's a hard thing to do to kind of get yourself up for what you could face in the same way And I think, you know, probably You know, a lot of it they've been found wanting in difficult games before, you know plenty of times both of them But I think you know On the day they they did They did relatively well. I mean they posted some problems with you know, the movement in the first half south anthemton and um I think the wide areas where they're greater outlets Probably because of the system we played and I think they tried to focus a lot down the left early on And sure was impressive and he created one of the best chances As a half went on but actually they had a spell where they did a lot With balls coming in from the right where they kind of seemed to figure out well We can use both sides here rather than say just trying to get a flannel gun and if anything They got better in the game south anthem when they started having to go it's more down the right But I mean Nothing to say about they didn't really do a lot wrong and yeah, they they they did well But I mean it doesn't really mean a lot because they're both capable of being You know poor in the next game. That's what they are looking. It's not going to change now. They're both 29. Yeah, yeah Fair enough to one game Yeah, that that's that's I think that's that's fair shade. Marco Lopez Would you agree? Are these our best pair or seeing as we have sake of it now is that a man who should be knocking on the door? How would you feel about that for the the the the right? Yeah, I think I think if you're gonna ask if if if someone's gonna ask me to defend Martin's good Or say anything positive Martin's Martin's school. They're gonna wait a while. Oh, all right. Okay very good Guys, I'm sorry, you know, you guys are talking about luck earlier. I'll tell you what the only thing that I fear more than a beach ball is Martin's school's head 50 pounds, please Look, look, okay, so I I'm not I'm not too upset with the way they play it And I think that aga in particular started showing more of himself because his form has been mixed and he and he started I think when aga plays well, he makes scurt a lot better because scurtal generally Benefits from from a good partner and that's why to a large extent when when scurtland soccer had an extended run The the team seemed to play pretty well because soccer complements much of what scurt lacks Soccer's a lot more aggressive. He's a lot more proactive. He anticipates better And of course he's he's actually got some muscle that that he puts to good use I You know in a way, I wish I wish one of that one of soccer or aga was was a really good right center back because there's obviously the issue that they're both Left center backs and therefore they they they can't really play together unless unless you know Brendan makes an experiment Um because it's pretty obvious those are the two best centerbacks we have. Yeah, um What's challenging is that you know if aga continues to improve his form then Unless I'm worried that Brendan may not necessarily choose soccer to come in in the games that he should for example I think soccer should play against the menks because pretty obviously and david moi is going to be quite insistent on on crossing crossing Which means that uh, we need we need some who's going to be a bit more aggressive at hitting the ball and soccer's a lot better Sure. Sure. That's a very good sound Uh and the young and the young I know that you have seriously strong ideas about right center backs and left center backs Because I heard you say something about this earlier on talk to me about that and about partnerships I who you'd like to see finish this season. Okay, so what I just like what I always want to see at the back Is is the same back for all the time? It's just not possible this season because of the injuries you've had and it It just all happens It also happens when we've had we've kind of struck up a partnership by the betoria or whatever with the same players playing a couple of games Or we've had a clean sheets on there to be a bit of solidity Um, yeah, I just hate I don't know what our The fuck it is this season. I just stick it here and it's like it's fucking ringing in here left hand at back The old-fashioned football kind of found in my head. It's just saying fuck off and just play where you know Whether you're on your left way or off the professional football and I know players how preferences are where they like to play Which was seriously good, aren't we? Okay. Look, I know everyone's gonna be kind of Chopping up the bed to get this I'm really happy. I'm introducing this topic now. There's a loud missing Glenn Johnson Talk to me about Glenn Johnson Talk to me about Glenn Johnson. He wants to talk to me about Glenn Johnson Paul Brennan wants to talk to me about Glenn Johnson Oh, dude. I thought he was okay. Yeah, okay. Brilliant. Brilliant. That's good stuff positive Yeah, I don't think he was good. He didn't do really do that much on the wall But defensively, I thought he was okay. He had a couple of flat footed moments like well Like I I don't think the defense was offered much protection at all. Okay. I don't think for the first hour I don't think Jarrod had really had a handle on the space in front of them They had like they had La La Anna Going to pass Jarrod David Rodriguez dropping in just behind Jarrod and he wasn't really covering it But um, yeah, I think I think the most of the offenders were fairly good I'd say Agar was the best out of him, but yeah, I thought Johnson did okay And did you think he improves the game at all or do you think he was all through it? I think he was better than he was against ones. He's still nothing like the player He was like when he was when he was like playing really well first, but I thought I thought he was okay Yeah, we're stuck like on the the the the the rampaging Half winger I'm I'm not sure like we've spoken about this before it could be a competition issue or um I don't I'm not really sure. I'm not sure that he's ever going to get back that way But I think he looks like he's lost a bit of his pace Yeah And uh, what's going to make me make just looks like someone who could probably deal with like a change in his career Probably a mobile, maybe possibly Damien flow. Do you think he's going to say the season that he's in situ and if so, are you happy about that for? I Absolutely disagree with what part was saying. I thought he was fucking a bizmo on the full traffic Quite good. He was fucking a bizmo on the fence over here There was so many crosses coming from his side in force half And yeah, and kind of the same ignorance has always been in Toronto He doesn't close down the cross now. Luckily enough agra and scaredly dealt with most of them I don't know lambards him up an half day or whatever it was he wasn't at the races Uh, but he let an awful lot of commentary. I know in the second half I have to say johnson did come into a lot better. He was living more subtle than the tackle He was he was he was closing down things a little bit quicker And but the first half I thought he was just as usual Kind of rocky south that he has been for the last one. Yeah, um, is he going to see out the rest of the season? Maybe I think if he does, I think city are chasing mayhoppers in that area And where so so go He's not he's not a world-bearer. What is the founder? And and as of how we said i said 100 times that's what the founders are about today was defend Get anything else to the half the pitches of ours And and sometimes johnson, although it looks great and he bombs on yet to cross in or he sets something up In week that's something go and air half or an air box The previous week that you could maybe attribute to our three mistakes that to swansy scarth from I'm still not I've never been a great as fan of glenn johnson. I would go to season last season But never been a massive fan of him as a defender Look, we've we've we've done the johnson things that Well, we've talked about him. He's done. He did better. Let's hope that it's it's an up to up taken for him It is a second game back You know, there's all these things that are going in and and maybe he is falling in his feet I just had forced half like he he was going backwards all the time He when he was on the bog on four, he was losing the ball, but he picks it up the second half We get the three points one thing of notes when we're talking to that tonight, you know, there's there was an air of um elation over the result an air of Deloitte as to what we could achieve in this season, right? And let's not let's not forget about it. We put picked up three points in st. Mary's Um, where we where we struggled last season where we struggled at home this season to get a win out of and regardless of individual's performances The points on the board were all the fucking matter on saturday steven daily said it himself He didn't give a show what the performances look like once we are putting the three points on the board weekend week out And for me Yes, there's issues in there, but if we keep picking up the three points from now to the end of the season We're going to be jumping around like fucking spring bunnies at the end of may go on happy Bleeding days. We've got the fucking league to it in the bag and god knows what can happen next year. We might win the champions league at this race Jesus. Oh, jeez Okay, uh, right. Well, uh, I was going to see if we could just finish out the back four, but like I think you've pulled it back for She's right. It's not it's it was no day, but we want Related to see a half days and performance here with johnson just as a star to somewhere to star Yeah, getting back to where he was for a player who was so exposed throughout the game a lot of the times You know, it was two players on top of him. I thought he don't raise me well Yeah, you know across the back I thought we don't reasonably well Okay, it's kind of segue into the midfield there and talk to me about continue on talk to me about whether That performance by him on the day is a sign of a guy who's a streaky player And it's going to continue to be a streaky player or a guy who was trying to fit into a system that does not work for him as a player No, I don't buy the the system doesn't work for him as a player. Okay. He was Uncapable of of or incapable should I say? Yeah, you should say I should say That would be an actual word No, he was he was incapable of finding feet a lot of the time, you know, and I'm not even talking about I'm looking for the killer ball The the great little pass that we know he can play just simple passes were not going right And we've seen that a few times this season and I just feel that I don't know whether it's whether it's the away from home Side of things what it is but he seems to be game on game off at the moment And I think we should be I said earlier tonight I think we should be leaving him out for for more away games than we are at present if we're gonna if we're gonna try and Play a slightly different way than maybe Gerard Allen and Henderson's the answer with Sterling's Michael Lopez the man I demand that that That the fella is trying to link to on a regular basis are two incredible strikers Two more impressive performances. I think you could agree and we've been saying on this part for a while that Suarez's Comparative lack of goals is important because he was playing so well um Neither he's back scoring. Uh, this guy could lead us to the title company Absolutely, absolutely. I've said a million times about Suarez that His brains are in his feet and that's kind of also to discredit how how good his temperament has been this season Um It's what I love about the guy is that you know every single week lately. He's just obsessed to get the team its desired result Um, you know, he's he's he's playing a lot less selfishly than he has in the last couple of seasons and and I think at this stage the only thing he hasn't really done yet apart from obviously lead lead the team to a trophy which If if if by said, well, I mean a major trophy obviously he won the calling couple a couple of seasons back if If he could somehow lead the team to the champions league and the Premier League title it, you know, it would be it would be a standing I think the guy deserves to see You know the the stage of the champions league because he he needs the right kind of competition to to test himself Against because I think a lot of these defenders that he's playing in week in week out They're getting sick and tired of being turned by him and just completely bamboozled Um, you've got exceptionally good centerbacks in this league that are just looking ridiculously stupid Because of how good his footwork is and and that's and that's when he's got the ball You know keeping the ball by himself when he's passing the ball Um, this is a guy. We've got a guy here who is top of the scorers charts and he's top of the assist charts Um, that's crazy They don't Players like that don't come along very often and and I don't think even we understand how good this guy could be Then he'll he'll become as big as Kenny and Gerald. I have no doubt about it. Big said Yeah, it look it's like like a marco saying it's just it's just phenomenal to have that player in your team And I think when we look back in the season, we don't have some level of success The season will be a bit of a failure to think that You had two strikers click so well and score so many goals and not fucking win something You know to see like this is our best chance ever You just couldn't imagine Suarez and and uh storage having that sort of a season Season on season. Do you know what i mean? Like it's fucking incredible. Hmm like really is So we need to make hate when the sun shines what you're saying bestly. We need to get some of that That's why I hate to hear people kind of completely write us off like at this stage Yeah, but anyway, uh, getting back to Suarez That was a dig at me step down Steven daily Cool, we put him in the dark and he's just in a dark place He's actually hiding behind a curtain there. That's about In world football. I don't think there's a player that can react quicker to a breaking ball In any in any league even messy and Ronaldo He has this technique or this this sort of sense as to where the ball is going to go Even look at the goal. It pings off a Southampton player after the knees. I can't remember which which center back it was And all of a sudden he's there. He's in for first five finishes He just knows where the ball is going to land. It's phenomenal. It's a really quick shuffle of fees You know to get to get himself in a shield position Like those turns that he does like the angles that there are like remember a tailor the Swansea fallback There's one time like I looked at a 120 degree turn on the run he knocked a pass and that little kind of That kind of dink like it was running towards the boyline like like David Moyes would have loved that and he And then he does this kind of crazy turn inside and like what like we said We're at a ball kind of bounces up off the ground I think was for him when he laid it back to Henderson and Henderson in a shot straight of arm But like it's just it's mental looking like there's like there's no way a defender can kind of anticipate it Couldn't anticipate it then like when like it's his work rate as well It's absolutely unbelievable like like someone that scores that many goals like you see run all those scores Like that meant the goals, but then he's like he's kind of looking at the rest of the team when Ray I don't have the ball saying what he's gonna do like win that back for me But like you see him in the 85th minute and all trying to like adjust him is running when he's pressing like to every pass Like you know trying to try to catch a center back out on the ball or whatever like it's just like It's just this blend of movement like constant movement and work It's like it's unbelievable. Yeah, you can't offend me. I was very happy with what storage You know, I wanted to see us go back to it too I wanted to see Suarez come more central and it was nice to see storage willing to go out and do some of the work that Suarez has been doing over the last few weeks because I felt Suarez was putting in a huge amount of the actual You know donkey work so to speak and and adding a lot more to the to the overall team effort Then then maybe what storage was no don't get me wrong storage was smacking in the back of the net So that's that's allowed but um it was nice to Sound like that But no to be fair um, no, it was nice to see it was nicely storage more central But no, like I was I was very happy with with their contribution as a as a pairing Even though Phil Casey keeps on telling us they're not a partnership a lot of shit But but yeah, no, I was Did you see the MERS little caption dang the storage fails to score for the ninth game? Yes He looked he looked incredibly pissed off coming off that he like when you had the other land hobbling around up front I forget killed with a cycle. Yeah, absolutely. The hunchback in Andre Danvers was up there. Fuck. Yeah Hobbling around shouting the veils the veils. Yeah. Um, so yeah, you know, I can understand where he's coming from Right, he's thinking why fucking why am I coming off? Why is he happy? I tell you why I tell you why Brandon's looked at it and says this isn't the Daniel storage fucking shelf You want to make a little point here. Yeah, we're gonna win this as a team and it's not the right storage cars That's not taught about how we got our 10 cars 10 hours. Yeah, you know, that's kind of little in on the boss around here Yeah, and it's nice to see yeah, it's great to see in fact because it means that Brandon's yet again. May make brand You may play Friends of the star steve daily May bread Is just put this foot down. He's just saying, you know, I've lads.
