We're about to discuss something which potentially never happened Not the moon landings, but rather Liverpool's alleged cop victory against all them We've done their trench coats like motor and scully the truth is out there. We're gonna find it. It's the day trippers Okay, let's begin our discussion by speaking up at the worst center house that we've seen though As we move on with our worst all time 11 feature So who would be your shittest stoppers now? I'm gonna start here because I've got some very very strong pins about this My first one's kind of semi Andy shout in there. It's a fella who was actually good But he was never good for us and that's a Pellegrino Who came with great pedigree, but never really panned out and it was basically more like graphizoids Neers I think and a coach in waiting so in terms of disappointment I go with him Some people think that's a bit harsh considering some of the people you could pick the second one for me I don't think you need to be a genius to work it out is mr. Rolok He needs to be in that Worst all time 11 for me cuz he's possibly the most abhorrent Liverpool footballer I've ever witnessed You really don't want to do this into you. I don't care about that interview. You can do it I'll tell you you can do it because for me for me in this whole batch of bad players He's like at the peak his head his fat round he had a stick neck top. He's like he's like he's like the Fettied cherry on top of a shitty trifle of bad players. I think it's harsh that say it's a round head It's more of us angular square desperate down kind of I think Bulbas and we're all gonna work with bulbous How's it gonna work? So if we have got an interview with him and he happens to have a little listen back I can feel a bit of a cough coming up. So anyway, Steve Why don't you tell me who you go with and you raise our love for you? Yeah, well listen if nothing But his three-all header that would take him out of my stop talking about Rodak and tell me who you don't like Well, there's lots. I don't like and I think I think yeah, Pellegrino has to go in there. Okay. Ultimately, you only played well 12 games for us Yeah, and my god within about 12 minutes you could tell this bloke is just knock on the colors And alongside him I have had a think about a few of the people I actually thought about Mark Wright actually if anybody remembers the fact that he had a terrible blip in form for a few seasons You know 66% average is as good for some Liverpool signings. That's we always go to a redefining blip here. Yeah, maybe maybe I pushed it on Blip there. No, I think you aren't all cuz I'm I think he's I think he's in there I thought about 12 and picnic as well like yeah for me, you know, but you know what? I'm gonna take Pellegrino out because the man I'm going with possibly the shit is pairing you Golden picnic and beyond talk around beautiful because they were shut You don't mean that same much more than that. That's pretty James your shed Right, okay The first one is gonna be and there's already been a couple of posts in the 90s that have been mentioned and a couple of Mate made it in with three in fact is it that I've made it into the Yes, so I'm gonna go with another one which is filled by because basically Come on guys who's born in fucking Lambda It was a little about when our defense was kind of something of a punchline even in what was a fairly compacted team But for you know the kind of the mid to late 90s Well, you know 3.6 million pounds for a cent about nearly 20 years ago now was a heck of a lot of money He was a bit calamity. I mean, I remember my the first time I went to anchor was when we lost one mill to South of ego for one an aggregate and The way for copy was Gerard's first time start in 1998 and he fucked up in the first minute and we nearly conceded because of that so I mean that that lives long in the memory from Yeah Second one now finished my life story is Gabrielle Palette and I've tried to do I forget which one of the lads It is it's kind of trying to do good go at committing from a sort of an interest an angle with having people like Aurelio in their worst I'm having yeah, that's really a probability but Palette are actually has gone on a good career I mean he was lit with moose to Milan for sort of fees in the region 15 to 20 million euros in this Yeah, just you know, that's a big money now for a cent about so he's one of these players He's just maybe made the route move to England at the wrong time But he was on the pitch when we shipped six goals against Arsenal in the cup game So I mean and we bet we only ever saw him in dead robbers after that and then he was gone So I think for that reason I'll throw the Pulitzer in as a slightly obscure shell cuz he didn't actually play much But when he did he was trapped good enough paletta and bad very good Paul Oh, I had kind of three shelves, but all three of them have been mentioned Palucoino and have bad I remember same fucking up a few times and then hit the stones off the post So yeah, I mean he's I think he's lost weight since his playing career Stories where we like revels in how unprofessionally was basically so If you had to pick one of the other two, who'd you go Baba Because it's bad in the snackers off the post when they do Career the final moment of uselessness Yeah, I don't think they can argue with many of the shouts Tarben picnic was it was a special case bush. I I remember the 90s remember our famed tree center backs and like I thought my aqua was a decent center back He came in he was given the captain seeing the hold on as Rob Jones was talking and he was a good player He was your syndrome prone like he was what he was more injury prone than Rob Jones was when he came into the group So I personally I go Steve Stanton was brought in as our missing link as a center back right boy Roy when he was brought back in by Roy Evans right and Steve Stanton Almost made my favorite 11 as a left back right and he's going in as a center back into my worst 11 Because he's single The defense got worse when he came in It's actually a pleasure a center back to go pick here and Pellegrino he turned like a statue. He was just awful he really was but Sammy who'd be a credit team with actually bringing the team around in terms of understand and hill play zone American under at Rafa So I'm going to give him a pass on that basis that he actually explained how to his only mark and Then at the last shells I'm putting rigger bird song in the bin as well with with Steve Stanton and that was a center back Partnership I think at one stage on the pit so I just said I just I'm going for now because you actually covered after all the logical options I was going for it the couple of FV oven Stanton and rigger bird song are in the bin and my boy 11 Right, let's move on to a review of the games which have taken place recently whole followed by all them and now the discussion around all them is going to be sketchy at best with the Bizarre lack of coverage. So let's talk about there are various issues in relation to whole mostly I suppose Steven can I ask you what you made of the return of Steven Jared and in terms of performance and affecting the team and that kind of thing and What you could see anyway, well, I suppose he came in for the last half hour against Hull and you know, it's very hard for me to judge him in the sense that He was coming back from injury. So yeah, you know, he wasn't going to be as sharp as he normally is And even that isn't the sharpest. Let's be honest these days, but you know, I just think he did look labored when he came on Against Hull, you know, it's not like he came on and made things tick and made a difference for us if I'm honest and But it was good to see 30 minutes under his belt at this moment in time We're losing players to injuries and there's no harm in having your capital back And I think we've all spoken about it over the last while having horses for courses And I think that's absolutely the case with Steven Jared. I think we've seen what midfield trail of Lucas Allen and Hendo can provide and I think it is far more dynamic and I think it's in the crappy thing Steve that we're not going to see You know because of the injuries, we're not going to see Steven coming back and being deployed where we don't like the same Which is up a bit further. Yeah, yeah, it is But you know, I still think that could be done because I I've you know I've always said I think Lucas and Hendo could provide the access in the the two in the middle and and Jared Pushed on and and that little bit of responsibility taken away from him in terms of following the marker and and you know What Hendo did or sorry what what Allen did for hazards goal against Chelsea is what we've seen You know, what we've seen happen, you know to Jared so many times now I didn't get to see I only got to see some Canadian extended highlights of Okay, I watched the whole game today, right And notable in the first half was the Gerard was playing at the back of the midfield with Hendo and Alberto playing as a look playing as the favored one and a two right right when he makes the change of half time He pushed a ride right on and into an attack and roll and and this this thing that I actually think it and I've been a detractor in terms of Gerard playing that defensive midfield road and again Brandon said in the post in the post match press conference study taught the movement the past was too slow and the movement was too slow That went on around the actual game I thought it was very interesting that he didn't leave Gerard in that bottom part of the midfield and shifted him right up I think the penny made of drop with with Brendan that actually Steven Gerard's best football can still be delivered in the top toward of the pitch because there was a noticeable and Quickening of our attack in verve in the second half of the actual game and obviously you have the continue brought in as well But I thought for the first half without without being under any serious pressure from olden because at the end of the day They're the bottom of the of league one side. I didn't think Gerard looked particularly In a different league to to what he was playing against now There's an element is a defensive role ended offensive role But again when he pushed on he started he was on the bar more and he was put he was pro press roll Yeah, yeah, and the left Lucas more or less Lucas and and Henderson Henderson was able to become was was literally able to ship from when we're in in the offensive role become a Second attack in the field of which are arid and when we were when they were countering against us He was the one that was in the sort of Lucas because of the engine that he hasn't exactly get up and down Now so like to me I thought there's a there's an element that maybe Suddenly Brendan has looked at this and said well, okay We'll try it it tried and it looked like that Steven had has an awful lot more to offer Ford up the pitch which an awful lot of people have been saying and that's not a vindication of anyone like it so Anywhere you've read and anywhere you've looked and anywhere people have thought they've spoken that that they I mean, I'll probably like to see Steven drought still play as an advancement field or even as one of the three on the right-hand side of Of a tree up top. I don't know about that Like people have said that and I thought about that at the beginning of the season But the more I've seen his legs go to an extent I think you need a lot of I think you need a lot of cover and ground in that top three as well If you're going to give Suarez the license to do what he wants, you know You need someone like Hendo or And like Sterling has been breaking his balls and that's something I actually wanted to come to with Phil because of the Oldum game not getting the scene off a lot of it I saw as I said 12 13 minutes of highlights and a few of the reports that I read actually gave Sterling a little bit of Stick, you know, they said he didn't have the best of games But from the 12 or 13 minutes I saw he seemed to be the one Hendo played some absolutely smashing balls into him You know couldn't couldn't the ball between the center half and the and the left full into Sterling and he was down those channels and creating Chances and chances and chances from what I could see in the highlights now I don't know whether that's just them picking out the best bits Maybe you can tell us Phil haven't seen before I thought Sterling started off a bit slow for the first 20/25 minutes if I'm being totally honest Yeah, I don't know when the highlights were free. Yeah, and like having watched the game and watch like it's bizarre You see say the Twitter commentary going on or you read the post match for review And then when you actually sit down and watch the match it doesn't necessarily play out the way you've read it Like it's not a main aim. I think half the fucking turn the sound at the game. Honestly. I was telling was fast That's where it was good. No, no But see well, I look at the first 10 minutes and there's a moment at around the 10th or 11th minute that you actually see Victor was this go from having a decent start in the game. He was actually Direct and attack boys in terms of getting in the ball and looking to take on the players There's a moment in the 10th minute or 10th or 11 minutes where the ball is played in he goes to back He was just a so-called on the left-hand side of him He makes complete hours of it and the crowd. I'll have a big jury show And it was armor You can always instantaneously see the head goal in the player himself and I can't bring in the back to he just didn't give a fuck Then and for the rest of the other fans having a journey. No, no, this was the whole stadium And for yeah, you know, and I think that is bad form, you know I do think it is bad form even from her own fans if I'm the first one to say I'd give him a jockey back I know I know we're coming out to mose in the agenda All I'm saying is that it's interesting when you actually watch the game as opposed to reading the reports Yeah, actually see and the for me There's only been a brief mention of Gerard's role changing from being at the bottom to being in the attacking role But in real terms the game sort of hinged on that changed and that I don't I think it could have actually Not necessarily brought Lucas on if you didn't like it and wouldn't have made any difference I think the big the big bit was to free Gerard up on playing higher up the pitch because it gave us more Attack on your first handle back to doing the job that Gerard was meant to do with the legs that he has and left Alberto and jarred update you could have done it. Yeah, you could have done Alberto Gerard and poor hand away And I'm not having to bring you know, I just think I just think those Yeah, look, let's try to get back on message here a little bit I'm I understand then Phil That's the only person around the table who's seen the whole bloody match that there was an actual discernible Improvement and it went through Stephen Jared in terms of the quick enough to pace the Brendan spoke about I wouldn't say it went true But he was part of the improvement if you know what I mean, okay, right? Well, let's move sideways then and keep the same issue here and talk about Alberto And why he was taken off because Brendan cites the pace of the game He said the way the the he said was tactical and talked about this the pace of imagine and and and the toughness in the tackle And the tireishness and all that kind of stuff. That's what he stressed in his post match presser That's why he said things need to change he didn't single Alberto, but that's you read between the lines That's what he's saying. Here's a here's a question then in terms of the Alberto's substitution and talking about how Gerard may have positively impacted the game by moving further forward Did he negatively impact the game by being the person who should have been setting the pace for the team in that? You know more defensive of the three if he's playing in that well playmaker role That's that's the one that's meant to be keeping things moving dictate the tempo I'd like again, I don't I'm not get I'm the force to get on his back when I think it's marriage to get in his back But in this instance of that don't I think an awful lot of it was that you've got a you had 11 players who? For our various different stages of fitness because we have to remember this is Gerard's four start back since he was injured And and in a way he was feeling his way into the game as in as much as players who haven't played for a while The likes of aspects the likes of Alberto were feeling the way in as well I was very disappointed that when Alberto was taken off Explained that to me because from from the extent of highlights. I saw which which were wonderful I think we saw about 30 seconds on ITV It was all Alberto. There's one tire move That was the one shot that did you Listen honestly, I was listening to the matching seem to be involved and honestly Everything that was good that was happening in the fourth half was going show Alberto Henderson's passing range was often the fourth half Alberto was the one that was getting on the ball and he was probing the the olden team He was he was making himself available all the time. He was prepared to go to turn on the ball create things That's gone. He does lack pace, right? You can see he lacks pace But you could you could out like in that role if he's able to get up and down down the pitch What he brings to the team in terms of a creative ability to open up the fences It wasn't he could see from the the passing etc. What's going on? It's definitely one I'm just confused as to why he why he was chosen I can understand why Moses was chosen after 10 minutes his head was gone, right? And you could see it with that, but I was I was I couldn't understand why you take Alberto off Brent Brendan did something similar against Wiggin at home last season where I thought Suso started the match really well Brendan wanted more control kind of further back and he brought he brought Suso off after a bit like half an hour Suso was the only one really who come close to score and are creating Anton and he pulled him off there To I think you put Henderson underneath and he put it and kind of like it did work out We went on to win the game for the 3-0 win was it? Yeah in terms of it's exactly what you said It looked that way, but I for the life of me I just don't understand it because of all the players that we had in the pitch in the fourth half Alberto was the one that put the best stint in and looked the one that was a bit had a bit more class than everyone else And if anything was gonna happen it looked like it was gonna come true Alberto now whether it whether it was to facilitate moving Gerard wire for the forward that he took Alberto off And didn't feel that because Alberto was necessarily the paces that he could afford to have Alberto and Gerard because it would make me leave Henderson over exposed I don't know but I That could be but the only only logic can see there But even still I don't think Alberto is that slow if you're always pressing like Alberto's pressing and that's how it is good Again, they didn't have to deal with pressing because to be honest with you Oldham didn't pose much of a threat in the fourth half When ever day when ever day attacked they were easily defended against the balls went back We weren't we weren't curved open we weren't given up chances most of the chances happened in the second half when we switched around And we were one and up and to be honest with you and one will oldham have three or four reasonably good chances that Something could have happened up yet the quarter brought it back to one arm They had a fair show for a penalty which the managers had after the game Jones made a couple of really smart saves and and like I thought in a way Lucas might have actually been a bit more shown up in that second half because oldham seemed to be able to bypass him very quickly I'm very easily and one day counters Which seems to be a weakness that we've had right away through the season that we've touched on a lot of times And that's not getting on Lucas's back Maybe he just struggled to get up with pace and he did create it Give us maybe a quicker move and based on to operate in terms of getting the own force instance. But yeah I definitely think I think Alberto's a very lucky to come off different from being totally honest She was moving on to someone else and a different a different area of the pitch James you might have some ideas on this I'm not sure how much you got to see of the game yesterday but basically we've been talking a lot a bit Glenn Johnson of late and let's be honest his farm has been poor to miserable and Kelly came in I think his first start. I saw him interview today. I think he said in 15 months, which is remarkable and You know, he did nothing wrong again from the limited stuff. We could see he seemed to do he seemed to be quite effective And is there any chance that we see him start and actually think James Well if ever there was one that my suit putting in a ladder six foot three or four back It's probably stoke away. Yeah in as far as you know They play a different way we'll get on stoke a bit or they play a different way in the mark Hughes But they still got a lot of big lads who attacked the ball well But I don't know with Kelly, you know, basically, you know I've long felt that really we've got a lot of options at right back after Glenn Johnson But none of them are particularly good for different reasons I mean I was in terms of the game yesterday I've watched kind of the highlights on double speed fast forward because I couldn't be our sitting through all 90 minutes of a fairly mundane performance in which we did what we needed to do But I mean Kelly yeah, he seemed to do all right But you know it's baby steps for Kelly and it is now was his first start of the season and he just about got through 90 minutes You know in terms of what what is place and Rogers plans is you have to look at the fact that he's missed out on the bench at times this season in favor of people like Brad Smith, you know and people like that and and Set the backs who can't play fall back as well as he can when you know primarily is it as a senior player? He's been a fall back. So I don't know there's not really that much in the way of competition there for Johnson I mean I was at the whole game and I actually Contrary to what some people thought I didn't I thought Johnson was a bit better than but I wouldn't really take that as any kind of Indication of a return to form because one it's at home and two you know a fairly two plus whole team on the days a different Proposition from the teams we did play so no, I don't I don't think Kelly does offer you know, I mean Rod Rogers is a minus manager who can surprise you with the players he picks on the basis of form and attitude You know you look at Flanagan getting looking when none of us thought he'd ever put on a Liverpool shirt again So maybe there is that possibility, but to be honest, I don't think You know, I don't think he is particularly strong competition, but then you know, Rogers It's not unknown for Rogers to surprise us But I don't you didn't you didn't seem to sort of hold out the greatest hope for Kelly either Rogers So we don't look so, you know much depth there to be honest Look look at look at the far side of the pitch shams and the other flank in Sisoko who we also wanted to talk about briefly He's got a lot of hammering from various individuals and not too far from me as we speak To be fair to the kid, you know, he looks serviceable Lately, doesn't he? I suppose that's serviceable is probably the word. Yeah, I mean He was all right yesterday and he was he was okay against home again Hall didn't really pose any kind of defensive test and I think what you saw with him once we were to look against Well, does he kind of grew into the game and got a bit more confident and started trying things look again, you know The person I was with a game the whole game You know, we both picked up on the fact that as we've seen in home games in the past where we've had Johnson on one side Sisoko on the other all our play in wide areas goes through Johnson, you know, 80 percent of it is down the right Very little is down the left, you know, Sisoko doesn't give you on the ball what Johnson gives you which when Johnson's actually got his head screwed on You know in theory at least he's a player We can go either way and he slams past players quite well Sisoko isn't that kind of player, but he's not a bad player I think a lot of the kind of the sticks Sisoko got is because he was pretty abject and just didn't look like he was You know, even awake at times when we were away arsenal Was was complacent and can see at least from record last week at least the first goal He was very poor and he also he went to sleep when we conceded that goal at the set piece Away in Newcastle when when Paul dumbest scored against Yeah, it's just okay was all right. I mean he looks functional. I mean, would we be looking to buy him in the summer? Not on current form not on the form he's shown in the last two or three games when he's been okay, but I mean Yeah, you know, he's probably not as bad as we thought Here it's encouraging at least that he doesn't look like a complete liability as of the last two or three performances He is what he is though. Isn't it? He's a three million pound player three four million pound player That's that's what the fee is set there for my like if if we didn't have somebody else say if we didn't have an Enrique Or you know if we were lying to Flanagan or something It's really true like you're signing somebody to add a bit of depth to the squad Lot of us will go on about squad depth and saying we've got to go to Lebanon the whole lot And then we don't have really much depth in the actual squad But in reality we've only got the league campaign in real time story about so yeah I think he says exactly as bad as I thought he was to be honest with you even still But that's because he was fucking worse than that when he went out and played the few games Like I remember us doing we were in sunshine doing the preview for the new castle game boys We're talking about, you know, yes, let's get so go in and then you can go back and listen to that part And I'm there saying I don't know what all this hype is about We said we said that he's probably as mad as Enrique But let's see what he's about. What's the point in having a player signed and that's him. We can go out to that When we come to a lorry later on We've done that we've done that by paying seven million quid for a center half But we still haven't seen but but yeah, you know what I mean I think our whole point was that we were meant to be getting someone at least as good as Enrique or possibly better And we just have stable nobody likes it told you so much and but anyway, yeah You wanted to chat a bit Suarez and basically the American he's getting and how long it's going to be until he's kicked into a serious injury Chelsea and Hall were two good examples of some dangerously bad tackles going in on chop Why are refs allowing this to to go on? Well It isn't somewhat like it's always going to happen the guy is a war class player He's unformed the best player in the Premier League by a long long shot, right? What we need to deal with this moment is not so much say Oh, what are refs gonna do about it because they're gonna do fuck all about it, right? But what we need to do is we need Brendan to adapt the same approach that Ferguson did when Ronaldo was being kicked all over the Premier League And talk about it week on week on week on week and talk about referees need to protect them And that he's gonna be and just bring that stuff the whole thing to to to to fruition that this valid is being kicked out of the game And he needs extra protection because teams are coming out and tires them and it needs to be reinforced Like he's been so long finger as the Antichrist of English football He's been he's the bastion of diving. He's he's all these bad things Caron is in one person in English football and all of a sudden English football has woken up to the fact that actually this guy is in the top five players if not the toward our Our second best player given that messes out injured at the moment in the world, right? And has a realistic shout of gone to a different level that we've never seen in the Liverpool short in at least 2025 years, right and it's now down to Rogers and he's been really good in terms of his presses and in terms of the way he deals with media now It's time for him to turn the screw and get that that sort of real PR team around him need and protection referees need to protect this guy He's been kicked and teams are actually now setting out to be kicked when he came on He came under 77 minute at one stage. He gets an elbow off a fella I don't know what his name is. He got a blatant elbow across the face. No, even if he dives, right? The fact you man true the elbow. It's not even a dress. They got a free kick out of his I go yellow There's an elbow Elbows are elbows are a red card offensive boy book and that's not fucking on that's going out That's that's perfectly he comes straight on the pitch that there was a fella off the Norwich team last season It's something similar to him as well. He's been tagged now You could see in the whole game. They basically took Torrance to kick him off the ball I'm not I'm not sticking up for this thing. I don't think that was a deliberate I can guarantee you going to stop this weekend. He will get he will be who we've made them here We've made them of it Of a road not over a date found in the same way pure listed in Anfield the season before last We know this is what's coming now What we need is the pressure Rogers to just revolve his whole press conference around Protection Suarez needs at the weekend fellow. So you agreeing with with myself on Something I was saying basically defend I didn't you know, I know it's rare but basically defend it defend and Brendan for taking a stand and saying what he said about the referee He got an awful lot of abuse as usual from Reds about that But I was quite happy to hear to see him just weighing in would have strong opinion I didn't see any problem with it at all. I don't see why people were whining about it for me Rogers in in in so much of the way he's now dealing with the press has grown up in terms of being a manager and in terms of He's almost swallowed the Ferguson book in terms of how to deal with the press and how to try get get the press on his side and Have the media message that comes out about Liverpool being dominated by the message that he wants to put out there And the story that he wants to put out there. He's gonna go in. He's gonna get a fine He won't get a touchdown band for this one, right? But I'll be amazed to see Lee Mason refereeing another game for us this season and if you want to ask me That's job dawn and my book that's job dawn That's that's essentially it. Let's just skip through a couple of points here because we didn't recover a lot of few things Paul could come to you in this Victor Moses We could talk a lot about this We could be we could be needlessly abusive, but we could let's just try and keep some sort of a little Is look the kid seems to be worse than even downing was I Wouldn't we be much better off with Jordan like there. Yeah, maybe and the worst thing about it is that he's it like he's basically his Chelsea career looks like it's nearly over so Liverpool was this big get a loan of Liverpool. Yeah, it's his That's what I can't understand when I was hanging where we came on and he was like he was atrocious anyway And then he did the worst pass in the world. Yeah, but it's attitude and that and the kid hasn't improved much either recently I thought as attitude was going to be similar to Daniel Sturridge in the sense that you know Sturridge came in saw it as his last chance It was as hyped as his last chance and by God has he taken in the last 12 months? No, I wasn't expecting that level of thing But I've never really rated Moses honestly, you know I never saw that the hype was he scored a couple of decent goals for Wigan got his big move to Chelsea was pretty much in and out Or mostly out and got a couple of you know important goals for them as well, but still by most standards shit You know and or not very good. Let's let's call it as it is a mid-table He'd look decent for a mid-table team if he was playing week in week out, you know, yeah So the next Charles and Zalbir, you know, that's what he was he was he was it was the next step on from Charles and Zalbir But but you know what I mean why we brought him in first of all, it was just baffling I'm just watching I know, you know what I'm gonna step back from that. I was just gonna say that's this is turning in fast turning into another told you so from Steve there. It was just nice I'm not gonna faction of defense for Moses because so much of the stuff that is in defense Well, I'm not counter right, but I will say one thing the guy had had showed some level of ability last year Chelsea when Benitez was in charge right and he seemed to play him in a certain way that seemed to suit Moses down to the ground For me The mismatch here is that the way Moses wants to play the game is not the way Brendan Rogers wants the team to play the game Right, and you can even see he was he was picking up the ball and just running straight lines against the older, right? You're looking at a saying You know, I once said he ran and he ran out of play. He reminded me so much of a physical Mark Walters That's the best way to describe just a bigger More physical version of mark waters and mark waters used to frustrate the beges at me We're getting the ball and running straight over the over the boy line and nothing ever happened Like and he genuinely ran it or play twice He got it when he was at Chelsea He got a good bit of play on the Rafa and Rafa sent to yours And it's not one of those kind of hard work and wingers rather than you know Some and some really kind of classy like and it seemed to work to like reasonably well like I When we signed them I thought like that's okay. It's like, you know, I've got a squad player But like now it's just I want them anywhere near the team. This is my first of all. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's very good His head of noise me when it comes out They see him stand up and he puts on that jersey and you stand there shaking the legs out because there's seven minutes left in the game And he's really gonna get into it and then he just goes on and just like get off your twat Speak by then was in relation to the magic rocks we had leaving the match yesterday the injury the agar and James holly your thoughts on this. I mean does yesterday's game proved that really I know it seems a bit cynical But we should be using the cup competitions as like basically a chance to run at the reserves until we get a little bit further Around quarter Sami's that kind of thing. I mean if we end up missing out on on on champions league football because of injuries like this I mean does that not make the point? What points are sorry I'm basically asking James. Do we look at the cup should we be looking at the cup given our priorities this year as something basically an Opportunity to play reserves and kids. I mean the one that's hard to fathom with us of action yesterday I mean I said this last week when we were previewing the game and then I said the same when the team came out Why doesn't the lorry play? I mean the only I said this last week kind of preemptively said is it because we don't want him to be cut tied for the benefit Whoever he may go out on loan to this month. Well You know wouldn't be in cut tied have kind of been a deal breaker for anyone we might be learning them to we don't know If it was I don't know whether I prioritized it that much to be honest because you know you look at it now We've started Daniel Agar. I mean from the sounds of it actually, you know It may only be cramped with Agar and with that sack. Oh, you know, he may well be alright But there's nothing to say I couldn't have broke his leg yesterday And I mean that my feeling was we once sent it back injured out of the four senior ones You know, I didn't want to be risking two of them on the same pitch basically in a cup game That was my attitude to it. And you know, we ended the game with ten men and we paid seven million pounds for Tiago I'm not saying he's got to come in and be a start straight away But if he's not gonna get started against the scene that will be happy to stay in league one at Anfield after four months To train with a squad and get acclimatized When's he gonna play? As well, I want to say with the lorry is is You know, basically the other thing about this is it's not like that You know, if they've got that big Galloupe Matt Smith still there to sort of terrorize the guy and give him a massive culture shock I'd maybe understand a little bit more not that Agar's particularly good in the air Well, you know, he's gone to Leeds And you know, they didn't look particularly potent and they were never gonna kind of get it as at Anfield in the same way As they did at Boundary Park last year. So that was the thing I didn't understand I mean otherwise the selection is fair enough, although I'd rather, you know I'd rather we didn't need to send Suarez on to see the game out But then that's probably actually the lack of depth we've got but and again the other one my other reservations Is this not what we were a central midfield the show we only had four central midfielders That's not enough and that basically meant that with one engine in Allen We couldn't we couldn't properly rotate in midfield. We had to put two very important central midfielders into the game yesterday Which is a risk? Yeah, well, my taking it and I don't know If I genuinely do not see the need to play any force teamers in the in the Cup effectively May okay I'd say one or two in the actual cup round still we get to the semis at least and if we don't if they're not good enough to get there So be it our focus has to be determined to share. It has to be getting into that top four if we don't get into the top four I like I can't see all the teams being a shit The next year like I can't see spores being a scrap right because the shareholder have as an eventual come up and so you know I'd be it noise is not like noise is unlikely going to be there at this time next year as well, right? So he is they're not gonna have the same one results No, so if most of you out of all traffic with this test having me are pretty quick That's pretty shit manager of the decade And what's going on? Just as well and that though like you don't want to go out in there fake Hope it's like you know someone like fucking hold them and it's the same with the next round like the next round We have as an easy team again But that so that gives me the way I look at it is with no excuse to kind of go like you know If a primary ship team like even a maybe a good championship team knocks you out and okay But if we go like a knock-down play was a born format or partner. Yeah, like we get knocked out But one of them, but I can't I and this is this is why I This is why my things that is to play the res is right if we can't be born if those players can't be born it Right then it's a fucking disgrace. Yeah, I see we're going from but it could happen that they they wouldn't and it Shitstone that goes where they get knocked, but we've had some great players We've had some great matches over the last season and a half in the next gen You know the mean or you know the mean and those teams You know the teams that we've put out in those games should be able to go out and beat a born with or a Barton Yeah, never mind the lads that are just not quite able to get into the first team You know the mean so I know where it feels coming from on this and if more than two or three first team players If we're still in contention at the next round of the FA Cup Which is what three weeks time four weeks time especially the next round. Yeah in the next round So there be two or three days after this game if more than two or three of them are involved then it's I want to see I want to see Rogers. I want to see Pascal playing this game to be honest with you I want genuinely we have we need to stuff for Everton in the measure so there be right and and that to me Like go looking at this FA Cup. Yes, it'd be great if we got to the final if we get to the Sammy Even if we get to the quarters, it's only three games to win a corporate I'm saying okay all in then if you want if you want to if you want to throw your eggs in the basket and say It's only in another three games on to the end of the season fine, right? But at this point in time when we're well in contention for for having a pop even a type of challenge at this point Right, we've got a great chance to get a champion to leave for poor. Look, let's not fuck this thing around Let's just focus on getting into the Champions League. I don't particularly care about winning the FA Cup When it comes to it's only three games there are three games for some of your star players to get injured See what I'm just saying if you want it if you even if you if you really want to approach it That's when you start looking at the FA Cup. You don't give a ball extra round four round stage for me No, yeah, yeah, I'm loving the idea of giving Kali Pasco a legitimate reason to wear shorts, you know, that's brilliant I said the legs happily exit the cup watching that boy. I should probably still do a job with that floor. Right, okay Let's move away from our review down and on to our next section Okay, joining us now for the preview of the stock games are a good mate molly from beyond the cop though Let's start that stock preview then Basically the revolution at Marquis is carrying out at Britannia Stadium I mean we must be all giddy with delight and feverish anticipation of a repeat of the 1970 World Cup final That's gonna be this beautiful football yoga bonito. I think you call it. So who's gonna be in and who's gonna be out in terms of the Liverpool 11 that starts Paul Brown any particular ideas on who you think might be in or who might be out It's a bit of a crapshore with the injuries that we have at the moment whether agar or psycho be feel like we could end up with skirting torre at the back and Again, like we were talking about right back. I'm not sure if Rogers would take a punt on Kelly against all go away He doesn't he he hasn't looked like he was wanted to play him much recently look. Yeah Midfield well Luke. I think it basically picks itself almost a dozen straight red and Henderson Yeah, and then Sterling so up Suarez up front and other one. Would you go on aspects? Yeah, well, that's that's the interesting question. I think that's the interesting one in terms of the options that are left But you in terms of the people at the back. I mean what happened to all our love for colo too, right? I don't know anyone else. I was just so chuffed to see the kid on the pitch I love that run towards the end of the whole match. It was right at the very end Did you see that where you ran me ran into right side of the box? Ping the ball in went for a turn pass and then fell over his own feet I was bought enthused and pissing myself laughing at him same time to go. I look on his face when he had to make it all the way back to Everyone was fifth probably my start and center back apparent would probably be sack on to worry Yet there seems to be no sign of that Fucking skirt seems to be on droppable at the moment. Yeah, no matter what he does So and if I girls injury isn't as bad as people are saying that it's it's gonna be not such a bad one And then he it's it's looking like Scotland Agers. Yeah That that does kind of come up properly and speak so it's well sometimes. Oh, yeah, right I agree, I agree and I know I'm more risk that run sack of fun myself. I think you are yeah I know you mentioned Cora Torre there and I'm sure he's a great personality to have it to kill Bush I know I've seen him. He's all hard. I give him this but he's just a bit labor for me, you know, and Okay, it's careful there you can give away a pint it any say it's no doubt about it But I've noticed the past couple of weeks where you know teams have split as a part And you could seem sprinting back to make that last ditch title. I ain't saying Torre doing this, you know Yeah, would there not be an argument more yet? It started a year where Torre was I think you'd agree pretty impressive And skirt was only the thing that you know, maybe it's a lot more to do with reading the game properly I think did Scotland not making a rod for his own backward novel all those situations in terms of his positioning and then Yeah, granted wonderful slight tackle at the end to defend the the the attack But is it doesn't not come down to the fact that Torre might be a better reader of the game perhaps? Well, it's a good question and it's a bit you can make sport and have schedule have they be able to read again I tour again and have tour I have that bit of pace to schedule has yeah, so Either way you go you're going to have either one Torre just a gonna have the speed to keep up with some of these forwards are we going with carefully? He's not going to be able to really get my tour has so it's a flip the coin really I think that's but for me, I would just have schedule in there I think that bit more regret as well from corners and so on. So that might edge it just for me There's no big fancy thing in anger and suckle together No, I don't my You know, it's it's just because the port left for it I don't know if it's already on nobody ever thinks about that when it comes to to write for the center half Nobody ever I think people don't people don't ever say are they both right for it? I wouldn't play them together, but it's like it's like the sum of their their parts, you know I mean, it's it's one of those situations. I think that's very poor in the air as well And a lot of corners we've conceded it's a lot of it's been down to our agar being defeated in the year and I think that's what you need Sickle and Scotland there because the ball is very good in the air, especially it can slightly stalk now I know what I'm playing better football than what's used on their Tony pole It's both you know, people I coach and shot across come off of those corners I'd much prefer to have Scotland's echo in their denager. I disagree on that You know in the sense of Scotland I think Scotland's as poor as agar in the air I think and the problem with Scotland is he he just switches off He spent he turns it into a wwe fucking wrestler match in the box It's only thinks I'm gonna fucking have a laugh at this well and now watch me throw him around He stops thinking about the fact that there's a ball coming into the box that needs to be defended Well, yeah, we've we've other enemy ours talking about scarital and set pieces and defendant set pieces To be honest with you're going into the the stoke game for me It's I want to rain sack of sack of fish and because the air really they've been the two most dominant of our center Have ours are appear to be the two most dominant and the least ones and that are that are likely to get beaten on corners and free kicks And James, I know you mentioned Elrana on Johnson that that is coming back I for me I'll put Kelly in in this game See, I don't see I don't see much in the way of pace in terms of on the flanks to Tretinas in terms of what what stoke have I'm looking at I'd like to get our biggest back for to to count their pen internet drinking. No, yeah I don't want pen and stuff fast anymore And it depends what is calling down the substitutes like as he has been their main weapon a choice over the last few weeks And he can play against us I think the thing is that I mean what one point I would make about me to about the defense I mean as I said, I did say it earlier. I think if ever there was a time Even though it's not the people who say it anymore if ever there was a time you'd think right, okay We'll put Kelly in it right back. He's had 90 minutes against old and you know, should be you know fully well recovered to play Sunday, isn't it? I think we play him. Yeah, it's on there To and never ever there was a time you might even if it's just for 60 and if it's if it's no nail or we're drawing late on We want in theory at least depending on what Johnson terms up a bit more quality on the baller right back If you put Johnson on then but I mean in terms of Steve's point about why you know, why would you not put two left foots together? In terms of arguing Sacco. Well, I think we all wonder when when Sacco came in for a lot of money And particularly with I could just have him and give him the vice captain seeing it look like Skirtle is going to go at the time We all thought well, how are you going to put the two of them together? Is Roger going to play two left foots together? I think the reason why There's a manager you perhaps be more reluctant to do that is there's a left footed center button you're inherently wherever you Wherever you play you're generally something quite novel And what that means is from a pretty young age you generally play less sent about for that elusive balance in possession of all Um, whereas the right footed sent about because there's a Dirth of left footed sent about generally, you know left footed players in the middle of the pitch We'll we'll tend to play left side right side. I mean be more adaptable. Whereas a lot of left footed sent about Although apparently Aga's done a demo alongside care. Is it alongside care? Yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, you know generally you won't have played less right sided center back as much and obviously it's it's a different You know, you've got to turn the opposite way attack the opposite post You know, what's the opposite space and so on so I think that's maybe the reason why but I mean It's an interesting shot with here's one from left field on that With the majority of strikers being right footed in the premiership Right would have not made more sense though. We natural for two left sided defenders How often do you get how often do you get a strike of running at you as a center back? You're very rarely happens because generally a lot of center backs getting trouble when that happens to them teams Go, you know, go out of their way to prevent, you know forwards. I mean, I see what you're saying But not even necessarily running at you, but if you're trying if you're trying to put them It's easier for a left footer house to put him onto his left foot And you know because you're stronger on his right, you know, I mean if you're standing up as a left So I did center half you're stronger on his right. So it's easier for you to nearly push him onto his bad foot And if that's what you want to do. I'm just it's something that I've only just thought about there now Not that makes a fucking blind bit of difference Just how I throw it out there and try and sound knowledgeable for a minute Maybe it's maybe true with with turning more than running that's yeah No, I was more thinking of putting them on the wrong foot when they're about to take a shot or whatever else Yeah, yeah in that respect. Yeah, you're probably a fair point actually. Yeah, but then maybe it's just one where Maybe from Roger's point of view It's just one of those where the benefits you might get from that are outweighed by the pitfalls of putting a player on his unfamiliar side If he's very, I'm fairly certain Brendan Rogers knows more about football than I do That's a close one Molly can you bring you back in here and something that we were speaking about earlier on that That's the whole time john's it was kind of we just Skip passed it there quickly. I think it's a very valid question about whether or not kelly gets a start and I know the fitness is thing is an issue, but the kid is big and dominant and he's good in the air And let's face it. That's the one thing that glenn is and especially a back post and there's going to be a lot of crosses and there's going to be a lot of crosses to cut out and and not a way and That's not going to happen with glen johnson. So what would you would you be comfortable seeing seeing kelly start mine? I would mind giving seeing kelly have a lot Johnson lately he's been absolute infuriating. It's not even the crosses It's he seems to get up to pitch and then stop for for no particular reason And then just give the ball away And this happened so many times in last few games, you know, and he's been We've considered a few goals because the team's the colors under break because johnson's just giving a ball away So yeah, I certainly give kelly a run out there my personalize. I'd obviously ride me back to finally get a run out there But for some reason it rogers. This hasn't called him up long. I know it's called upright smation Flanagan's been giving the gold and there are a few players, but probably my laughing has got a sniff yet And anytime i've watched jonner 21's he sees we to stand up there for me. Yeah He was called up with no tech that's not going to happen. It seems so if that's not going to happen And much of our kelly to be in there just see what he has, you know, he had hurt one game 60 minutes Exactly even just Psychologically for him to start ahead of johnson i might give johnson the kick up the arse that he needs as well because look nobody It sounds like we were taking the hammer out to these guys, but the bottom line is we have to talk about the issues and That kids an issue. I mean as you said he's an impetus killer in terms of the attack Which is his strong point and defensively a bit of a liability so um look Keep you on them only while you're there in terms of this style that we might adopt. What do you think? Can you see us basically uh trying to play counter attack or do you think we're going to try and push high and maintain possession and How do we'll we'll go for for the juggler Yeah, pretty quick. I reckon because it seems we are starting to play his first half Absolutely get out get at him straight away. Yeah try to get an early goal Have them attack you it did counter attack that seems to be kind of game plan Our season really and I can't see that change it. Yeah, we played stock here on the season. I was actually I was actually quite impressed with him because The the push does on the barge, you know, they didn't give us a moment's peace on it So this is not going to be knees again this weekend. So I take an early goal It's going to be very important for us if we can get one. Yeah. Yeah, um Paul Brennan on an subject that we spoke about earlier on and we we keep it brief and just just be interested get your take on it We spoke about steve steven jarred and against hot uh, sorry against all them And where you played and the changes that were made at halftime How do you see the tree people lining up in the middle? Do you see him trying steve in the front of the three or how do you think it's going? Yeah, well, I wouldn't mind that because He kind of started off similarly last season where he was really quiet during games like he was chipping in what kind of assists You know from set pieces or whatever, but um, like his general play wasn't going and then and the second The second half of the season a he kind of really kicked on his play making was really good But it seems to be the same this season like there's there's no tempo whatsoever to his pass and so try and maybe try and let the others kind of let Lucas and Henderson kind of build the play from the back and let him kind of Sit behind us that behind Suarez Yeah, it's not advanced and being an area where you could actually take a chance Yeah, give me some of the few people who can actually do that for us. Yeah, um, okay. Um Phil did you want to come in on this because I know you love thought mr. Stephen jarred No, thank you I Yes I said so much for our dies. I was thinking it's kind of lucky that joe allen got that injury because we were on such good Rondia with allen hinderson and locus. Yeah, you would be Roger there would have been a big call for roger's to put your art straight back into the team It's a disaster molly, isn't it because we'd like to have seen that Would have interested me to see what roger's would have done what kind of call you would have made Yeah, he doesn't have to make that call anymore, but that that would have been interesting Yeah, absolutely. Well, look, um, that's so much for lineups and stuff like that Let's let's move along. I suppose unless there's any anyone else got any massive issue that they won't speak of it. Yeah. Oh, yeah Go ahead. Yes Put your money on goals with set pieces either Suarez free kicks or with jerry back in the team deliveries because Two things surprisingly given its stoke according to who scored calm. Yeah, and I've done research Two things stoke are poor at the first thing defending set pieces and then they're very valid at avoiding fouls in dangerous areas So like it was because uh, we're we're good in that respect They have changed a lot of stoke because the good with three balls now They used to be the worst team in the league apparently that's the case with them We need to be cautious about giving away Conseeding goals for set pieces. We've we've done two two nerds. We've we've kept two clean sheets in the trot Which is which is a good habit to get into there's no point going to stoke now Conseeding one or two from from stupid set pieces and by setting up the wrong way. I'm looking at Yeah, do you know what I'm I'm more concerned about what stoke are going to do to lose Suarez And we touched on it in the review of Like I I can see them just going out just to kick the fellow up and down the pitch And they'll be instructed to kick him up and down the pitch anywhere outside the last 30 yards of the actual pitch So it's not to give away freeze in those positions and they have the right fucking yard dogs to deal with as well Like do you know what I mean? So like yeah They'll try winding them up. They'll have hoot standing on his chest You'll have Shark Ross punching him in the back of the head you'll have all types of things going on after ball You know to try get him to react and maybe bite one of them or keep them or something Our answer to that should be similar in the sense that this is a match where you tell Suarez not to drop deep You tell them to stay on the edge of the area if they are giving away falls in there I don't think I don't think you can tell Suarez to go in place on where I think Suarez just goes and plays Well, what I mean is if you tell him listen, this is our plan and that's a you know, you say come Listen, we want you to be taking balls into feet edge of the box. That's that's their clumsy They're big and clumsy. Let's turn them quickly. Let's make them take you down Let's let's get our freeze around there and you smash you know what I mean? That's if that's our approach to it I think we can counter the fact he starts dropping 35 40 yards away from goal. That is where they'll fail them They'll fail him in the center of the park all day long because they know all that's going to happen as a ball will be lumped in or We'll take and I have to say one thing that's impressed me so much this season is the speed up which we get on the ball from a free We immediately whoever is being fouled or somebody beside them. It's hand on the ball look for the pass You know, it's it's it's made a massive difference five or six times I've seen the ref pull us back and that's fair enough But do it every time if the ref doesn't pull you back Give a great chance of hitting the team while they're still asleep trying to try to get themselves sorted and you're already on top of them You know, it's it's something that hopefully we'll see again at the weekend. Yeah gets sneaky as well They're kind of surround the ref any time the game does whole Getting fouled and getting kicked and you know, it kind of rebels in it. He looks for those free kicks and I'm not saying I'm not saying I'm already that day that he doesn't he doesn't look for the freeze in the whole lot I'm more concerned with with the way that he's actually He's going to be targeted by the stock team I think that's good thing though, you know, obviously, look, we don't want to see him get injured You know, I don't want to go that far But he he's kind of here goes out there in the park and he wants you to kick him because he gets up on that He goes great. I reckon the free kick. I'll move the ball fast. I'll keep no, I'll get him booked Next time he'll turn off That that that was our issue Early on is that they aren't necessarily getting booked because what they'll do is they'll take the fouls around the 11 So that nobody is saying to just keep it repetitively felt in the Suarez So it's it's how teams are avoiding getting picking up bookings against us and that's that that that's I know you weren't here for the earlier review part of that one that is a good show actually Yeah, that is a good show to it seems to be I fall in forest and did you have your going next time exactly and if they if they do do that Like we need to get around the ref and kind of tell them like there's there wasn't enough for that You know when when Suarez has been getting the shit kicked over that has been off for like we need to be getting around the ref and you know Having a goal and it sounds nasty But we need to do it if the other teams are gonna play nicely with us No, that's a good show and it is something that Steve has gotten better out as the years have gone past You know, he went from being the quite a smart in the world to constantly in the refs here And it's around us to the kid and it's something that we need to we need to see more of Okay, um, let's get some predictions done and filtasia And we've never won the patania stadium since still came back up to the premiership and I Have to obviously predict that we this is going to continue Thanks, but um James owns your prediction Stokes city one local to and local will score at least one from a set piece of some of some sort Excellent. Um stevo. Yeah, i'm gonna go against fields beacon of optimacy Do you not know the jinks do not know the jinks? Oh, I know that's what the jinks is I'm not hanging with the fucking world sky guy. I know you're a long time Um, I reckon probably tree one and I think yet again, so ours will be the man of the moments I think I really hope to god that continue comes out of the shell He's been in for the last few weeks because thanks few shots his part Not even take the usual. You know, I'd actually be happy with him I'll be happy with him passing the ball to his own teammates more than 50 percent of the time It was actually it was actually very good when it came on second half yesterday against old him It doesn't matter. It's about it's built building for him again. Of course This is this is what we call a tangent Johnson Paul's your your your your prediction paul Still don't know what's the score is. I don't know One all that sorry one all okay I'm only Three four one. That's easy. We don't like it. Oh, yes All right. I'm gonna just get behind that because it's the easiest thing to do Right, let's move on to our listeners questions then Uh, we're going to start off one from a man not too far away from us here. Now. This is from Derek tipping Uh, good friend the pod and he asks Hopefully you've done a little bit of research in this chance. What was the worst ever LFC away jersey and that you can remember? I even got any specific shirts on this yeah last year's last year's third kit. Okay. Okay. I and why he was the obviously the addendum there Like a packet of silk cut bags Another one that there was that early to midnight is one which was kind of like an or a gold the orange color with some weird kind of crap pattern in it Oh, no, that was an image. You know, I actually have that at home and it's signed by Phil Neil in i've about eight or nine people maccatier Bob does that make it a better kit though? It was Sorry, but the Reebok had some fucking horrific shelves, but yeah, I'm going with this year's tourist trip that black Purple white patch thing that is each other With the way one this year is a good show as well as The christmas jumper kit. Yeah, jesus I think a warrior should get an award for the worst away kit ever. Do you reckon they just make nice home jerseys and The chief designer those kits was actually sat that was the rumor Don't know if there's any truth in that but the person who kind of oversaw the design of those kits was With good reason It's like a seven year old He used as many crayons as he could How daddy that stood Oh god, that's probably true Right actually molly i'm going to come to you in this one because it's all it's kind of transfer related Uh, this question is from enr strong on facebook He says if you were brandon you're able to buy a new striker or create a midfielder in other words None of the kind of areas that we said we need someone a new striker or a creative midfielder Who would it be just just one player that you could get in there just around those shows And also like bidija. I take his a box-to-box midfield or he could tackle he can choose No, it's so much. I came out in the middle of the park We ID in our team. Okay, uh, any other shares from around the table just wrap it up. Yeah, it'll cost it Diego cost you we just want you need a defensive midfielder if we had him answer ours and store it up front. That's right Just fuck it. Just bum bar the lump below kevin kegan stars Let's do it. Don't go fuck in this go for we've got six Right the fans of midfielder Sorry, but i just want i want i want i want i want have you a masquerano's cloned 20-year-old self. No, you just want to be awkward. He asked fucking creative midfielder. That's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's It's all right. We you know you have to you have to you just have to indulge the guy This next one this next one is from joe's Gilmore. I'm coming to you actually as the crankiest bastard on the podcast film for this one as as an old bastard as well Uh, joe's asks, what's your least favorite of all these items right there's a list here things colored boots, allis pants gloves pattern shaving and demonstrative religiosity now To not i think he's left out snoods there as well, which should probably on that list Okay, what should you go as an owner of many colored boots? Um, and i've used another spandom a day as well and i'm a goalkeeper. So i wear gloves pattern shaving well you've got your cray david beard at the moment It's your wish I go The monster of religiosity I can't stand it. I can't stand it. Really number one. I'm an atheist. So that's that's a Point pointed to the sky to the sky. Have your Hernandez on the halfway line. Oh, actually getting the fucking big Oh, man, the hola people been walking out of it. You know the two fingers of the air That's all right. I don't give a fuck who I don't care who it is stop pointing at the sky The sky points in one fucking direction. It doesn't necessarily mean heavens and that direction You could be trying to fucking hell for I'd you know, right? We're at globe. Phil. Phil. I know you're very very very very religious There's actually veins bursting in the mountain neck here. It was good to see next one up is I like this one This is from vinny legged on twitter And he says if your sister or daughter or dating a well-known sportsman Which sport would you hope that he played now? I presume this is vinson trying to get at the idea of being protective towards your your Your sister or your daughter. So what kind of sport would you hope that he plays stable Yeah, like sister dog don't plan on having any kids and I really don't care to share who my sister Maybe you're being very obstructive question Can you get on message? Yeah. Yeah, sorry. Yeah, let me think about this water polo Okay What's the reason? Honestly what is that? Steve oh looks embarrassed You know what that is. Okay, we're gonna skip on to the next question and I'll explain what that is Okay, steve oh thanks for that lovely segue. I'm gonna skip vinny's question completely Just because you're far me one driver boy answer my right. She's Oh, it's a reason I'm loaded All right, nice one You couldn't give a shit about this sister or daughter. It's just you want to Hang on. Yeah, I want to make sure that you should be glad before you're a good lad Anyway, thanks steve offer a lovely segue there Fuck sake. Yeah, turn off your phone steve oh Anyway the question the question that steve was forced upon us comes from gray who's a regular question Contributing he says what was number one in the UK chart in the week you were born now We need to go around to everyone on this so jesus steve oh, what do you think it might be? I'm just gonna throw it out there that it was tight fit the lion sleeps tonight I feel like I've heard that recently. Um, Paul. What was what was number one? Rita Franklin and George Michael. I can't it's a new you're waiting for me. Oh, so I didn't research Which you get the fucking but are you serious? Yeah? Christ. Those are homes sick from school. Listen to that. Oh, that's awful Uh, Phil Casey. What was number one? No me. No, no, no Actually That is brilliant James on I've just found this out because I've researched it. It was USA for Africa with we of the world And I think it was at the second week at the top of the charts Nice fucking go on and think for me as a big Phil Collins fan is they've been born just a fortnight earlier. Yeah, what I got Philip Bailey and Phil Collins with easy lover a song which I can vote by the drums to and sing at the same time in the style of Phil Collins himself So how annoying that's properly fucking tragic may I feel for you? That's bad Molly did you did you manage to get? I I easy have the best legs. I was dating live from the movie Saturday night fever You know what it does because mine's tense. You see rubber bullets thing and play the drums to his hand, but I can dance to mine. So And Molly do you possess the suit? I wish I did I'm so visited could have a giant revolve up so I can still don't I can wear a driving gloves to mine and wear a power neck Okay, right. This next one's from Barry Carr who asks What non-LFC book should I buy from my brother and he suggests only two would I get the back and book or the Ferguson book? That's come very quiet in there. It doesn't like his brother's on So he hates his brother, doesn't he? That's gotta be back. That's not I'd read either of them. You know what I mean? Like as much as I despise Ferguson He has to be commended for the the amount of trophies that he won and I think there'd be a decent Which you enjoy reading about that. I can't even watch those fuckers I don't want to watch them, but you know what I mean? I enjoy reading what the psyche behind what his ideas were because there are things that can be repeated and and learn from and whatever Jesus does fill us out. At least the pictures in back spoke would be pretty, you know He's a very good little man. He draws about it himself He's like the lad from the lad. He's the one that designed by a agent Oh, okay, and I was reading that. I read that book the question I was like what non-LFC book should I buy from my brother and obviously I haven't gotten an expert So I was taking oil use for it because it's one of my favorite books, right? Right, and then we got the back of my fairies and I see fairies I can see the tie-in that works well Next one's from harry setty says what new year's resolution would you make if you could guarantee that you'd be able to keep it What new year's resolution would you make any shares in this? My god, look at this complete lack anyone the line there want to help out Slap the tumbleweed. I guess I'm gonna run playing football manager James do you know what actually a quick football manager related story and made a mind was was a he's a blue And he was up playing football manager who's in his bed his eighth season and he finally got everything to win the league And I have two in the morning when they won they've won the final match Abraham Abaki yoko scored the winner I think it was I think it was baki yoko that scored the winner friends win the league And uh, he did a handstand in his living room, but it went fucking tits up And he went right through the glass coffee table. I have two in the morning And walked the whole family up. There was magic Uh, next one is from michael rosseter. He's at squeaky 21 on twitter and he asks Is a very familiar question. Do you ever think that there will be uh, it's sorry Do you think there'll ever be a boy born who can swim as fast as a shark? Yes You know, you're recommending it. You think it's only a matter of time. What's the narrative? Was this an old image? Well, who's that guy they used to the submarine or to use to go down To the sea all the time and his son Was born with, uh, web fees. So, you know, evolution on it I'm which on this morning I'm a web feed or something like that. So I'm which on this morning. You've been a lot of time in the water definitely So I was I was in london there a few days ago and there was a sign up that said um And the fastest seven-year-old in the world now would win bronze at the olympics in the early 1900s There you go. So that's evolution in a hundred years The I think was a whatever that I can't remember the years of the of the olympics But it was a specific year. I think it was in 1907 or whatever it was, but they said that that um that the fastest seven-year-old Now would win bronze at that olympics if it was run Given the time that he runs that so that just goes to show you the the strides that we've made in a hundred years I think in two and a half three thousand years would be That's that's that's why people listen on this one We never think a boy born would swim faster than a shark. The sharks will fucking evolve. No, they're getting slower What are we saying? The sharks go sharks are getting slower now sharks. Yes, why are they fire? I didn't fat sharks. I do be sharks because there's too much crap in the sick. It's fine. Yeah, no, unfortunately There's no longer the the natural selection that they're used to be because they're being overfished So whereas the slowest sharks in hell this is brilliant Whereas the slowest sharks actually used to be eaten because they couldn't get away from their natural predators now They aren't they're just being fished out of the water. So so so so so so basically Because the gene the gene pool is being weakened because the best of the best aren't actually staying at the top of the tree The best of the best the marine sharks the marine sharks That's basically it's it's if you don't happen to be yeah We're not kind of doing an attitude, mate. You should be unlike the you know the current sort of condam Cabinet in the uk coalition government signing up man. Sorry, you know the benefits cuts and that Right, let's finish off one question. Uh, this is from nick at mursey boy red I'm gonna get an answer from everyone on this one to finish this off Which item of domestic furniture would be a good replacement for victor moses phil casey So Steve toilet bowl a toilet. It's a reason for that stables. It's just seeing shit houses It's beautiful That's harsh. Uh pull I got with a reclining chair with wheels on it because then glen johnson could sit down and And he could hit the recliner and he probably passed better with the James moly. I might just leave it at that. What do you think? Yeah, well, I was just going to go over anti-awease because at least I don't actually move I would say I would say I mean Really been we've been covers all the eventualities. There you go Right to close out the show joining us from con artist production is simon conway He's gonna tell us a little bit about the upcoming anatomy of livery pool gig in the sugar club on january the 12th And simon, could you tell us a little bit about the nice? I think he's gonna have a lot of insight Information to um several of the key matches that are covered in wilson and mory's book So we open up doors about six o'clock. We'll have some visuals and footage going and we probably kick off The talk about seven o'clock and how these lights work is we do them in two Cards so we've got 45 minutes. Uh, we take a 15 minute half time break into the second half And then there's extra time depending on the level of questions that come in from the audience We've also jumped to the audience throughout the show for different questions. I was quite an interactive Night happens I was just going to say that to you Simon. It's basically there's a lot of audience participation if if they are so inclined Exactly exactly. You know, clearly there a lot of the audience are there to hear what Um, wilson mory and and keith have to say but we will go to the audience on regular occurrences We've got two guys running up and down the uh, sideline our system. They're for ease and they're going Uh, and maybe taking questions, but then he's really nice. It's about two thirds seated And there's table service there. There's some drinks available as a full full bar And after a con con do for this one, which is a little bit different from the previous events Which was the blizzard and then also one with seed low last month Well for this one, we're going to take the um The 10 matches which are covered in the book. It's a silk heading off the bokeh Nothing history and 10 matches Uh, and we're going to put that out to an audience vote where audience can vote in uh by a text on the night And it's not one of your um, you know, sort of x factor text normal is just a standard Yeah O8 tree and whichever match gets the most votes we're going to screen that on the night Oh, exactly. We don't have we don't have two of the games one is from 1899 against thousand villa Which uh, obviously, uh, was a challenge here to hold up. I'm sure if I have to do that One is the 1947 match against wolves Well, I certainly we've got a great selection of eight games there and i'm hopeful Uh, that wants to talk it over We were we were sat that up a motion and for people who want to stay and and catch a nice classic historical Um, you know kind of pivotal. They would go a nice role. I'd be opportunity to do so That sounds absolutely brilliant for people who are obviously going to be interested in either it takes still available so Yeah, so people can pick up advanced tickets via the event bright site that's e v e n t b r i t e How's it our site deal a search for anatomy of Liverpool?
