The federally-issued Medicare card isn't a complete solution. It's like a good chassis to a car. There are expensive Part A deductibles. Under Part B, you pay 20% coinsurance after the Part B Deductible has been met, with no limit. There are two ways to deal with what Medicare doesn't pay: Medigap and Medicare Advantage.
