A day after Super Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley says. - The time has now come to suspend my campaign. - Haley is well behind Donald Trump in the Republican race. She did win the Vermont primary yesterday. - I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that. I have no regrets. And although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in. - When mentioning her Republican opponent today in South Carolina, Nikki Haley did not include an endorsement. - In all likelihood, Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee when our party convention meets in July. I congratulate him and wish him well. - Where do Nikki Haley's supporters go from here? Valerie Burnett in South Carolina plans to back President Biden. - It's the lesser of two evils. And sometimes I struggle with it and sometimes I think maybe I shouldn't even bother voting. - Michael Govon in Virginia is sticking with the Republican Party and Donald Trump. - Senate becomes a binary choice between him and Biden and Trump was a good president. I think he's a little too old, but I think Biden's older and worse shape. - Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is endorsing Donald Trump for president, saying, "He will have my support." In the California race for Senate, Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff and Republican former baseball star Steve Garvey advanced to the general election race to fill the seat long held by Dianne Feinstein. A criminal case is over in New York. ♪ Welcome to the hotel California ♪ - Prosecutors abruptly dropped their criminal case against three men accused of possessing stolen lyrics from Hotel California and other hits from the Eagles. The prosecutor cited newly available emails. The defense lawyer said raised questions about the trial's fairness. This is AP News. - I'm Seth Tutell and this is Markets in a Minute. Stocks are recovering some of their sharp losses from the day before, which was Wall Street's worst in three weeks. The S&P 500 was 3/10 of a percent higher early Wednesday. The Dow rose 130 points, that's about 3/10%. The NASDAQ composite was 2/10 of a percent higher. Big tech stocks were stabilizing a day after dragging the market lower. NVIDIA climbed one in 8/10%. Facebook's pairing company Metaplyforms added one and a half percent. Crowd strikes soared more than 16%. The cybersecurity company reported stronger than expected profit for the latest quarter. Treasure yields were lower in the bond market. The yield on the 10-year treasury note fell to 4.10%. Markets will be watching closely as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell speaks before Congress.
