AP News, I'm Haya Punjani. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have won primaries in 11 states. Minnesota, Colorado, Arkansas, Texas, Massachusetts, Alabama, Maine, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. Biden has also won races in Vermont and Iowa. AP correspondent Sagar Megani explains why the AP called the North Carolina races just shortly after the polls closed. Here at AP election headquarters in Washington, two more Super Tuesday wins for the front runners. Joe Biden scores an easy win in North Carolina's Democratic primary. He was the only named candidate on the ballot. No preference was his competition. The AP was able to call this race minutes after the polls closed with the president holding a commanding lead. Donald Trump has won North Carolina's Republican presidential primary. He had double digit leads over Nikki Haley in the state's three biggest regions. Now, she was leading in the Charlotte area and also the Raleigh Durham Triangle. But those are small enough where even if Haley's leads hold up, they would not be enough to offset Trump's advantage elsewhere. And on the Texas polls, AP's Meg Canard reports, the AP has declared that former President Donald Trump has won the GOP primary in the state of Texas. We have also declared President Joe Biden the winner of the Democratic primary in Texas. Senator Ted Cruz has won the Republican primary. So he will be going on to face whoever wins on the Democratic side in the November general election. In an AP interview, San Francisco resident Charlie Goss says there are at least two issues that are very important to him. It's important to be on top of your information on your facts, to be able to administer and manage the job well. So I do have concerns about Biden's age and also frankly Trump's age. This is AP News. Thousands of voters in an Alabama district drawn to boost black political power got wrong information before Super Tuesday. AP's Lisa Dwyer reports about 6,000 voters in a new congressional district formed to boost black representation received postcards with incorrect voting information ahead of the Alabama's primary election. Montgomery County voters received postcards listing the incorrect congressional district. After the county's election software, misidentified people living in the second congressional district as living in the seventh. The county now falls under the second district after a federal court drew new congressional lines in November. That was in response to a Supreme Court ruling that the state had illegally diluted the voting power of black residents. I'm Lisa Dwyer. Trump and Biden have both secured wins that notch them closer to receiving presidential party nominations. Polls in the West Coast close in just one more hour. I'm Hyupin Jwanney, AP News.
