This is AP News. I'm Rita Folle. They've both got troubles. President Biden's got low approval ratings. Donald Trump has legal problems, but both are expected to move ahead in the race for the White House on this super Tuesday. The AP's Sagar Magani. More than a third of the delegates available in both parties primaries will be awarded today in 16 states and American Samoa. Still neither president Biden nor Donald Trump will end tonight as their parties presumptive nominee, though they can get pretty close. Next week is the earliest Trump could hit his magic number followed by the president a week later. AP correspondent Sagar Magani reporting. A fire explosions and a warning from police for residents to stay indoors. It began last night at an industrial plant in suburban Detroit. At least two people injured. The AP's Jennifer King. Police in Clinton Township, Michigan were warning residents of the Detroit suburb to stay inside as a fire at an industrial facility. Select distributors sent chunks of charred debris raining down as far as a mile away. Macomb County executive Mark Hackle says the fires started around 9 p.m. Monday night and is contained. Aerial video from the scene shows bursts of flames going off within a huge orange blaze. Witnesses describe a series of explosions that could be heard from miles away. I'm Jennifer King. This morning production at Tesla's electric vehicle plant near Berlin, Germany came to a standstill and workers had to be evacuated after a power outage that officials suspect was caused by arson. A far left group reportedly says it was behind the fire. An Israeli airstrike killed at least 17 people in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunus this morning. That's according to Palestinian officials as talks on a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas ended without a breakthrough. This is AP news. There are some new details in a fake elector case in Wisconsin. A settlement has been reached in a fake elector case in Wisconsin from the 2020 presidential election. According to the settlement, two attorneys for then-President Donald Trump Kenneth Chesboro and Jim Troopis orchestrated a plan for fake electors to file paperwork falsely saying Trump won in Wisconsin. Two men turned over more than 1,400 pages of documents, emails, and text messages. It's a strategy used in six other states, including Georgia, where Chesboro has already pleaded guilty. There is no admission of wrongdoing or liability in the agreements in Wisconsin in which Chesboro and Troopis promise to never take part in similar efforts involving future presidential campaigns. Michigan and Nevada have criminally charged fake electors, but there's no known criminal investigation in Wisconsin. I'm Ed Donahue. Gas is $3.36 a gallon this morning, 9 cents more than a week ago.
