And thank you all so much for tuning in to an audio only edition of the pH next hockey podcast. I'm Leah and back after weeks and weeks. Feels like months on the road. Petey back in Arizona, but just for a short stint. How are you doing on this fine Tuesday? You know, it is, it is, it's nice to be home. But, but as we record this in the afternoon, I'm, I swear I didn't know what day was. I asked my wife what day it was and it is Tuesday apparently that I get up. I'm, I'm leaving the house at 4.45 tomorrow. A.M. to go to Las Vegas. Who planned this shit? Like that was a horrific planning. And I'm not literally, I'm not complaining because I'm not the only one. You don't need people. Reporters, good staff. How many people have to go from game seven right to the draft? It's insane. Yeah, it's, it's been a whirlwind. I am so tired and just appreciation now for some of the work that some of these people do that you travel like this all the time. I'm, I'm thoroughly exhausted. I don't know where I am. And it's, it's, it's, it's really, really hard. I am so glad to be back home and everybody's always so hot and it's humid and it's rainy. Yeah, I've been on Saturday. I'm all, I'm all good. Like, uncle on Florida. I don't need to go back anytime soon. Sorry. I love Florida, but man, that amen is just about much. It's good to be home. And, and I, you know, you come back to all of the stuff going on here and that's, it's, it's going to take some time to process all stuff going on here. Yeah. Well, on that note, we're going to get into talking about the Stanley Cup, obviously, awarded just last night. A lot of Arizona connections there. We'll talk a little bit about PDs travels. But first things first, we did our emergency podcast Monday night. PD did join temporarily from the ESPN after party in which we got some high profile cameos, but you didn't fully get to share your opinion on Alex Morello walking away as owner of the Arizona County. I want to give you the floor for a few minutes to give your input on that situation. You know, it's funny, right when it struck, I actually listened to your show and it was a lot of you listening to the Discord comments in the comments in the chat were, you know, happy Christmas, you know, relieved and laid a lot of those emotions. And I think, I think right at first when I heard the news, that's kind of how I felt that I thought, I do believe that he was a barrier and getting a team back here and ultimately I do think he would have kept hitting roadblock after roadblock. And I think ultimately would have got to this point anyway, I am grateful that it came now versus three and a half years, because I do think it was going to get to this, whether it had to go through a referendum in Mesa or whether it was, you know, a land permit in Phoenix. We're going to get here. I really believe that Alex Morello senior was not going to be able to get this deal done. And he was going to have to walk away. So I think from that perspective. I think it's the first time that I was on a hockey fan that wants to see and then chill back in the desert. I do think it's good. I think it's a good. I think it's a, it's a starting point that we're going to get to at some eventuality anyway now we're here now. So it speeds up the clock now now. That was my first emotion. Then today, actually from the airport, I just listened to you guys again and it was carefully wish for, because because now this is just an expansion say this is Houston. This is Quebec and it's, it's more now it's a, now it's a dream again. And, and so there is some fear, you know, that it's going to take some time and there are people out there that think this is a 10 year process. I don't right now. I don't think it's 10 years. I can't tell you it's three. I can tell you it's five or seven. I don't know what it is. 10 seems to be so far fetched for me for, for a say that the league really has shown that they want to have included in the league and back in the NHL. You care about this commitment here. I know we've talked about that a lot. I do believe that that will be sooner, but maybe I'm just not. So I think, I think Lee, it's going to take some time. I think, I think Craig's, Craig's boots on the ground reporting has really been the difference in this that helped keeping us all informed and making us feel like we're not behind. The curtain that I do believe, and he has said it many times that there are other ownership groups involved. Now it's just a matter of, can they come out and start the actual, you know, I was going to say relocation. Sorry, run team, the expansion process here in Arizona. And that's going to be a true test. It's easy to talk about. Yeah, we're interested. Well, okay, now you got to write checks. Now you got to get into it and I can do land studies and I got to my land. I think we're going to really find out here in the next six, six to eight months, what and who is really out there pointing back to Arizona. Yeah, absolutely. And I think the one thing that you can say about it is, you know, the Morella situation. What if that did drag out three years and then ended up not working out and then you're at this point three years from now. I feel like, yes, there's a lot of question marks. Yes, this could take many years, but now that aspect brought out of it. Sure, maybe it could have worked out with Morella. But I was of the belief myself that I didn't want to start again with, you know, something that didn't work out before there was a reason it didn't work out and we've documented a lot of Alex Morella's missteps over the years. I'd rather have a clean slate. And I've said it since everything happened in April, I'd rather wait a little longer to have everything start better. And we're facing a lot of unknowns right now and that's the scary part, but we can set aside that there wasn't really much time wasted here as far as the Morello experiment. They took two months of that to walk away. So blank slate. And like you said, PD, pH and X hockey will be on the case, whatever happens. And a while from now, we'll see. You brought it up last night, Leah, you said one of the things that the expansion fee is not going to get any cheaper. It's not going down. We're talking about a billion dollars. It's not going to be cheaper than that three years from now. So, so honestly, if here's the other side of this, if you're a group right now that's interested, even if it's a little bit of interest. You have to understand that the three years in makes a difference. I mean, who knows where that expansion fee is going to be three and a half, four or five years from now. Is it going to increase exponentially like I do think that there is some motivation to get this started earlier just based on that expansion fee because it's only going to go up. So I do hope that pressure some people into forcing their hand to start getting into this, this fray a little bit earlier. And let's hope to. Let's hope people have seen this coming in there have been, you know, people that are, I don't want to say working behind the scenes with the league because I don't know if that's allowed, but I hope there are people that are when started to put plans in place and get wheels moving earlier. Yeah, exactly. I think people are shocked that it's this quick. But but but let's hope now that that some some things are moving and honestly, I've been so out of touch and I apologize for that with what's been going on here in Arizona. I'm going to start. I tried to make some phone calls today when I got back. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reach out and connect with some people along to talk to them and all this stuff going on here but hopefully over the next week. But, you know, his, his real sources and I've got some, it's a real source of more rumor sources but I can, I'm going to try to find out what the hell's going on here in Arizona and maybe there are some real groups are going to come step forward here sooner rather than later. Yeah, that's something we will continue to keep tabs on in the coming weeks months and as long as it takes to have some clarity or if a group is going to come forward with interest. If someone's going to start and we'll follow along with that. Among many other things, there's plenty of other stuff for us to cover. Peter, any other thoughts on this situation or you were ready to talk about the Stanley Cup. You know, it was just lastly on this. I do think it is a double it's or and I do think I don't think it was going to work with the hospital and it's funny that I think one of my other sentiments and this is going to sound awful. Okay, you finally figured out, you finally got it Mr. Miller, like you needed to be better. And now you're no longer going to own this professional sports franchise. But he's the one laughing at me. He walks away with a billion dollars. I think he's going to be just fine that he has to walk away from this and the one person that we haven't talked about and I didn't hear him mention much in the show last night is. He's actually my other junior in his is he was really involved with the day to day here in the air. It's not a kind of organization and of all of them are a family. He wanted to be involved in sports. Like that was his baby. He wanted to be. I think he saw that as his legacy and the rest of his life is he's going to work in pro sports and be the guy in surf, fashion brands and be on Twitter and have influencers on the glass. I really believe that that's what he's envisioned for himself in years to come. I'm wondering what his thoughts are today. What is Alex Morello junior thinking today that's no longer his path that he's not on it because Tucson. I know they own the two Tucson road runners and they are in Tucson for now, but that's not the same pushing media influence that you had when you had an NHL team. So I'm really curious to see what his thoughts are and what his next job is and we're working as he applied to PhD. What are we going to start to see some retro coyotes merge pop up on eBay. There's a pop up. There's a thing on Twitter to people talking about pop ups. Was there legitimately a pop up or is that just a joke? No, I think it's a joke. Okay, I didn't know because he got and that's. But that goes to Joe. Like if you didn't know, that's bad. Yeah, like he would do that. Yeah. Hell yeah. We're in the news. Let's have another pop up. Let's show my sweatshirts. Yeah, it is. It's that is part of it that I would really like to keep tabs on where you see what he does in his career moving forward. So yeah, that's probably all I want to talk about. But I know if you're going to. I said this before. It's not going to be me. But if you're going to hear about it, you're going to hear about it from page next page and a copy. You just are like Craig's Craig will break stuff. So if you want to know what's going on with the future of Arizona and the NHL, make sure you're tuned in here. Absolutely. Well, we'll move on from this topic for now. Promise. We'll come back to it in the coming days and weeks, but let's pivot and talk about the Stanley Cup final because even though we were live on Monday night and we weren't talking about it. We want to talk about it today because the Florida Panthers win the franchise's first Stanley Cup. We got to see former Coyotes, Oliver Eckman Larson, Nick Cousins. Lift the cup. We got to see former Coyote, Keith Kachuk in the crowd cheering on his son Matthew, who has some Arizona ties as well as he was born here in Arizona. So lots of ties there, but PD, you were there actually in Florida. So let's talk about it. Was that not one of the best game sevens we've seen in a really long time. So that's the kind of game you want. I mean, you want to see a close competitive hockey game that is tight to the last second that is funny. We sat put it at ESPN dinner the night before game seven and we're all kind of talking about it and I talked to the director who's been in a ESPN forever. And he said, I said, wouldn't it be great if this goes to overtime. And he said, you know what, it's much better if it's a one goal game with a minute to go on somebody political because then everybody knows when it ends everybody knows when the climax of this game is. If it's overtime, you just don't know you. You can anticipate when that moment's going to be. So for TV played out perfectly. And you could feel that. I mean, I wasn't in the building, I was in a truck in a parking lot. So I can't really say what probably there, but but you could see the energy in that building rise as the countdown at 10 min. It's a seven-minute mark, the five-minute mark they're getting on their feet, the three-minute mark. Everybody's on edge and with two minutes ago, it's like, oh my God, McDavid and Drey settled me. Never leave the ice this period. And it was unbelievable excitement. And apropos the game ended with the puck tied up against the wall against the smothering Florida defense that he hemmed in the evidence or others for 10 seconds and then allow them to move because that is Florida Panther hockey. And it was an unbelievable moments. Great game. And I think the other thing we're going to find out. Over the next days and weeks is how injured these teams were. And I know what, I said this last night to a lot of media getting on Leon Drey's title and he didn't show up in the series and he didn't get his points and where was Leon Drey settled. I'm, I wouldn't be surprised if he comes out the next few days with a pretty serious injury where people are going, oh my God, you played through that. I'm just a guest, just speculating that it's kind of the wrong ones we were hearing around the arena. And there are economy David's banged up and so I don't think you saw the best economy David over the last two games too. I think you're going to really see that starting to come forward. But just to be around it and that close to it was really exciting. It's really, it's an amazing moment in sports. And I know it sounds cliche, Leon that people say it's the hardest trophy in sports to win. It's just, it just is, and it's, it's the way the playoff format is this is a war for two months. These teams. Look how many games they played, they played over 20 games. That's a fourth of the regular season. They played. Look, look at the last kind of game. It was over two and a half months ago. Well, it's just insane. You know what I was thinking about was when we went down to Tucson for the last road runners game of the season. It was the 20th and the next morning I went to breakfast. We were, we had to wait. So we were waiting in the car and we're like, Oh, we'll put on the playoffs. So we had on the Florida Panthers Tampa Bay Lightning game in the car in Tucson at our brunch table. That was two months ago. Like, I can't even fathom the exact of these players. And you said it best. The two one game. It was the perfect storyline. I think right for our, I said it on the broadcast. You know, the Edmonton bench was probably looking up thinking, where did all the time go and the Florida bench was looking up thinking that why there's so much time. Yeah, it was great. And it was just, you couldn't have written a better game seven. Honestly, a better series. It had so much entertainment value was, and I'm not trying to shit on the NBA, but it just was so much better than the NBA playoffs and finals this year. I mean, the NHL delivered and I felt like it was a perfect cap to a chaotic, crazy eventful NHL season. This episode is brought to you by our good friends at NFL Sunday ticket on YouTube TV. Yeah, but when you look at it, I agree to the NBA. There weren't close games in the NBA. Even when Dallas wins the game, it was a blow up. There wasn't that moment of, oh my God, which seems going to win. One of the game, but it felt that in the end. I think that, you know, it was three nothing. I was like, okay, this seems over. But when Edmonton started to creep back in, you go, Oh my God, what a series. And then it became the Conor McDavid versus the World Series. And you're just like, Oh my God, there is so much excitement and the economy between the two cities was palpable. Like, you go to Edmonton and you couldn't move in that city. And I'm not kidding. Without somebody. It was anywhere you went. It was everywhere. And after the games, it was the honking of the horns. Let's go. You know, let's go oilers. Every car on every street for a mile from the arena and not exaggerating. You couldn't move in that city after after game four and game six. Florida wins the Stanley Cup last night wins the Stanley Cup. And you went to the parking lot. Honestly, it could have been a Tuesday game against Columbus and I'm not making that up. It was you're like, what the hell happened here? We went, we were in the parking lot of the arena. You would have no idea that the Stanley Cup was just awarded, you know, 20 feet away in that building. And then you drive on the freeway and it's nothing. Pretty was empty. We get back to the hotel in Fort Lauderdale and the beach. I will say this, the elbow room was jammed. And then there were literally there were several police cars there. But a separate from that, not one bar was full. Not nobody was the Panthers. You have no idea. And at that part, the South Florida sports experience is just so much different. But I do wonder how much of that has to do with the location of the arena there. Like a madman. Yeah, it's literally Glendale. And I was trying to envision and like close my eyes and dream about a scenario in which the coyotes, let's just say one in 2012 out at Hill River Arena and the celebration. I'm sure like Old Town Scottsdale would have been the place, but there would have been so many other people in Old Town there for other reasons versus let's just say they got the arena built in Tempe here. They won there. And I do feel like that could have had that vibe and a lot of it has to do with the infrastructure. And even what you were saying in Tampa Bay, the way they built around that arena. And that's something at the time when you were there two years ago. PD were saying, Oh, this is what it could be for the coyotes in Tempe. Obviously, that was before everything got to where it was. But Florida does have the similar thing. It's like defensive of Florida. I know you've been, you know, making those comments and people were saying, Oh, it wasn't that loud in the building and all this and that. It's like, you have to understand just the setup of the market and the situation and the Florida fans like, I don't know, I feel such a sense of kinship with Florida and Florida fans. There's so many parallels between there and here with the hate and the comments and even the setup with the arena distance and the years and years of losing and turmoil and having visiting fans, you know, out draw the home team, all things that coyotes fans can really I think empathize with. That's why I kind of connected to Florida throughout this playoff run. And I will defend them and say, I think a lot of it has to do with the systems in place, rather than South Florida not being thrilled about this victory because I think that they truly are. The hockey fans were there and you nailed it. This is Glendale. It's it's exact same scenario where the cities are so sprouted. You've got, you've got Miami, you've got Fort Lauderdale, you've got Sunrise and there's no central location. And that's what Tempe would have provided to this team. So if you, when you're saying it, if they went in Glendale, the party's still an old town. I mean, I don't want to. Yeah, sorry, Westgate. It's not a Westgate. They're not carrying the cup on Westgate. Somebody's taking the cup back. The back to Old Town. And it is the same. The fans are there and they, it was freaking out. Like, come on, it was really all the family stayed there for an hour after watching all of the festivities. It was amazing. They embraced their team, their hardcore fans, their ownership has done a wonderful job. Their management was great. The coaching staff was really, this was, they, this is how you win. But because of the way and the arena and where the proximity, the arena is, it's, that's what you get when you go to Tampa. And if you've been to Tampa, the arena and Tampa is downtown and you're like, it's got, it's got a similar vibe. It's still, it's still Florida. And you can still have that vibe where people on the streets and then there's signs and posters and you feel like you're a part of that, that lightning community because of where the arena is located. Colorado, same thing. It's downtown. I think if you want to take Ottawa, I think you'd see a similar thing. Even though Edmonton, the arena is downtown and it was all about that. I think Ottawa clearly have the fans, but the arena is way the hell out there. You're not going to get that immediate. And that's again, goes back to what we're talking about with Arizona when this comes back. And I'm going to start using the term when, not if when this comes back, do it right because you don't want to be stuck in another situation. One like we had in Glendale or the core, like you're saying, some of these other markets, I think it's very important. If an arena goes up, Elman blew it. When he moved from Scottsdale to the West Valley, we've talked about it numerous times. So when they do it, so when this team wins their Stanley Cup, the Arizona, what are we going to call them, by the way, I like heila monsters. I came up to the other day. I'm going to say the Arizona heila monster win this Stanley Cup that we're all parading around the streets. And that's my hope. Well, I don't know if I'll be parading much of a parader at this point. You'll be in your wheelchair. We'll all be parading you and pushing your wheelchair. But at least I'm a deadly Craig, I can imagine Craig's death on the show. It does make you sad, though, of what could happen here. When you see a community embrace a team and you started to see what GM Bill Armstrong had started to build here with the youth movement and the young players and the draft picks, you started to see what was coming. Hey, I'm not in no delusions. I don't think this that team was ready to win a Stanley Cup. No, but they're going the right direction. And you've got an opportunity as an Arizona hockey kind of a what if. And just get it to the playoffs. Get that experience. And now that's shattered. That's hard. That's when you're around and you see it followed around day after day after day and you see fan bases and communities get excited and behind their team. It's really unfortunate that this span, basically, well, I can see that first for quite some time. All right. Before we talk about the Cub celebration, I want to first talk about Connor McDavid winning the cons, Mike. First of all, do you agree that he was the cons, my winner? And what are your thoughts on him not going out to accept the trophy? Well, we talked about that a lot, actually, him coming out. If this would have been in game six and Florida wins and they're in and Cincinnati would come out. And he would have celebrated his fans and his local community. I was surprised he didn't come out, but I understand what he did come out and just lost game seven on an enemy territory that doesn't bother me. I don't think it's a snub to the league. I don't question what Connor McDavid is his character and what he believes in the game of hockey. I don't think it was an insult or a lack of respect to the game. I do think it was an event that he would come out. Him being the winner, it's funny. We've we've vacillated so much on this. And you did too. And we talked about it. It was Bob Rosky early. Bob Rosky threw three games. Bob Rosky is the guy period. And then he struggled in games four, five, six. And so then it was well, to McDavid, 100% for sure. McDavid has to be McDavid. It didn't get a shot in game six. It didn't really show. I don't want to say show up because it's not fair. It's kind of a David six and seven no points. So we sat, we sat as a group in the truck going, who the hell is the MVP? Who is it? The entire, the entirety of this class, who has been the best player. And Barca's name came up again. Bob Rosky, we said, well, he only had two really bad games. And, and I think we all settled on has to be kind of McDavid without kind of McDavid. This seven song team is nowhere near this down like a finals. And the numbers he broke were just just historic. So I do believe he is the consomite winner and the MVP of this class. I think Florida one as a team. I think Edmonton was carried by their best player. Yeah, absolutely. And I, I agree. I don't think it was that big of a deal that he didn't come out. Saw a hilarious tweet. It was like Connor McDavid sitting next to the consomite on the eight hour flight. I know that's an exaggeration back to Edmonton and it's just a guy staring into space with like a high pitched like just silent, but like a very uncomfortable song on brand. You know what, there should have been a neutral site game. They should play the whole goddamn series in St. Louis or Chicago, just cutting the metal and just say, let's stay here for three weeks. Because that we didn't even talk about that. The worst part of this goddamn series was this travel. It is it. And it's not just me. You understand hundreds of people are going back and forth between these two cities and you can't get to or leave Edmonton. Sorry, Edmonton. It's just you can. If it was Calgary, Calgary, you can get it out. Edmonton, you can't feel so terrible for the plug. I'm tired. I must have been sorry. How happy are you to never have to do that fight again. Oh my God. It's funny because we got you just, you don't understand every airport you run into. I don't care if you're flying through Denver, Atlanta, Toronto. You would just run into a whole bunch of people like it would be the people from the NHL. It would be people from. I saw Jean Prince, but I ran into Jean Prince. I mean, people might not know who Jean is. He's the voice. He's like the Todd Walsh of the Edmonton Oilers. He used to be actually for the Winnipeg just with this franchise way back. Anyway, I ran into him in three different cities, just sitting at the airport. You're like, one day he's Atlanta, one day he's in Denver. What? It's so surreal that we're all trying to like little mice trying to get to the cheese. And it's just unbelievable that we all endured this travel nightmare day after. And anytime you got to a city, whether it was to Florida or Edmonton, the next day was debriefing. So, how did you get here? Where was your flight? We had a guy that works for his band. He's of his, he had the worst travel of everybody. He spent the night in Calgary, lost his bags. They couldn't get his connection. So he slept in Calgary and now to drive the next day. And he also got stuck in Montreal. He's the only person that literally got stuck and had to get hotels. And they were in Montreal and in Calgary coast to coast in Canada and got stuck. And the travel was, it's like nothing I've ever seen before. And I know the players are on charters. And people are all, they've got charters in the first class seat. I'm telling you two time zones and that flight is hard. And after all of that playing time, the last thing your body needs to be sitting down for six to eight hours. It's so hard on your body. I don't know. Clearly, there's no answer. I'm glad they put that extra day off in between those games. But players endured so much on that travel. And I'm glad they had the day off so we got to see the best of the best. But my gosh, historic Stanley Cup, just if nothing else for the travel standpoint of it. The travel and the fact that it was awarded on June 24th. And then then we have the awards on the 27th, the draft, the 20th and the 29th and free agency on the 1st. It's absolutely insane. They were interviewing Bill Zito on the ice who was like bawling his eyes out after his team just won the Stanley Cup, which I thought was so touching. And he said, they're like, Oh, how do you feel? He was like, Whoa, we don't have much time. I was like, Oh my God. You go to Vegas for the job. Today, you can do some celebrating there, I guess. But I guess, but you're, can you imagine you're going to do that? And now you're going to go. I'm just blown away that there are how many people are going to be in Vegas tomorrow that we're just in Fort Lauderdale doing that. It's and try to protect shift gears from playoff hockey to now. The shoe. I didn't know the names anymore. I don't celebrate. That's it. It's all I got because I don't have a show anymore. So I don't know the shoe. Is that a guy? The two not. Well, I'm sure not. I think it's somebody I don't know. So yeah, and completely shift gears from from the present to the future. It's, it's, it's just the NFL man. It's the longest season in the history of the NFL from from game one to the wearing a stomach up the longest time between those two events in style in NFL history. It was just, it's an amazing, amazing journey that these guys had to go through. Absolutely. Well, speaking of amazing journeys, Oliver Ekman Larson, he finally gets his Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers. It was really cool to see last night. All the coyotes fans coming together to really celebrate him, even though coyotes fans lost their team. You know, lots of yellow and when he was here at his real prime and had a chance to win it here even back in 2012. Really, really happy for somebody who not only was a big part of this team, but also just a great human being. Yeah, it's, this was people have people I wanted to win. I thought Florida was the better team. And that's why I picked to win. But when it came down to game seven, I wanted to see Oliver Ekman Larson win the Cup. I think he's a guy that when when he left here, he signed a huge contract under John Chica and people were very critical of him. And was he playing up to the money that he was making here in Arizona. And I thought it had a really hard time here at the end. It's, it had some issues off the ice as some families as mother passed away. And I don't know if you ever got right back on track to playing that kind of hockey he did in 2012 when he was phenomenal when he was younger. Can you imagine that's 2012? That's 12 years ago when he was playing elite level hockey in the playoffs. And you know what, he was so good for the Florida Panthers. He was, you know, you talk about Gustav Forzlingen, Ekblad, and Montour that they were really the base of their defense. But Oliver Ekman Larson was steady. He played a top power plate for most of this series. And, and he played really, really big minutes and meaningful minutes. He was a great defender. And you see, it wasn't just like a neck. You know, he's part of the team. No, he was a big deal for this team. And it showed that he can still play. And it showed that, yes, this is what the anticipation was when, when he was drafted by the Arizona Cowboys, this is the player they wanted to see. So to see him succeed. And when the cup is great, but just to see him to be an integral part of it and a leader and an important piece of winning that championship, I think that's really important. And I hope because this contract is up now. I really hope that the Florida finds a way to bring him back. And I think they will look at their decor. I think he still fits. And I think he can still play the style hockey that they want to play. So I hope all rekman Larson is able to resign there. I think it would be meaningful for him and, and the team as well. So I hope it works out for me. It was the best story of the night for me to see. Yes. Absolutely. And just like I said, great to see everybody celebrate his success. Want to congratulate Nick Cousins as well, former Coyote and then watching Keith Goodchuk in the sands, getting emotional, even watching Brady, who's on the Ottawa Senators get emotional for his brother. Really cool to see, you know, Keith Goodchuk, who never won a Stanley Cup in his career, but Matthew got to hand it to his dad on the ice. Just incredibly special to see. Yeah, I know you know the kid Chuck family pretty well. Yeah, it's that that was another piece of it. And we talked about, you know, all over ekman Larson's connection here, but Matthew Goodchuk was born here. He was a coyote. He learned to skate at the ice deck. Like, I know he left him in the sandals. I got it and grew up there. But he was a part of this organization. And his dad taught him the path and how to be a pro. And they're cut from the same cloth, all the kachucks, the two boys and the dad, all cut from the same cloth. And, and I was, it was so touching to see this big bear of a man who is made Keith Goodchuk's a tough guy. He is a ball in a china shop when he played and he's he is a tough human being when you see him and the emotion that he had in the stands, which just blew me away. And when you start to see him tear up in the stands and you're going, and I think it's part of the, you know, you know when you're just that overly exhaustively and it just you finally get to the end of your journey and you're just exhausted you get that little bit of emotion. And I think that's part of the two is just the weight lifted off this, this, that everyone's shoulders that were finally made it through this incredible journey and I'm so happy for him and his family and it's funny right when I sat down here. We were talking about the elbow room earlier. Keith lives in Florida, and I got a house in Florida so they can stay close to Matthew and, and it was, he apparently stops and they won my own song but today, but by the way, everybody anticipated the cup to be there last night it did not make it there but it did make it there today. So just before we sat down into the show, could Chuck Matthew could check out it had it is a two story tavern and it's outside. He had the Stanley Cup full beer and they're pouring it down onto fans with their open mouths like feeding little baby beer beer out of the cup from the second floor of the elbow and I think to see that they could check to be able to celebrate in a totally good Chuck fashion, but was really exciting and the keeper of the cup that has to follow the cup around and celebrate the day with the cup with these people buckle up when it's going to be a hell of a fun time to get dive in the Atlantic Ocean. I did not with it. Yeah, he like ran into the ocean with the cup with his clothes fully on. Yeah, buddy. I think it's, I think it's if you win the cup free rain. Do whatever the hell you want, like do whatever you want. You've just won the Stanley Cup. Do we are giving the 2018 Washington Capitals team a run. Yeah, we'll see. That obese will be had a good time. And with that's the other thing. Yeah, I'm all blue. I know we where's the parade going to be. He's going to be down the A1 AB Trent Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. Is it going to be downtown Miami? He was going to be around the mall at sunrise by the Sawgrass Hills Mall. I don't know where the hell is the parade. I don't know. Anyway, we'll find out. I can't get your current cousins. That's sorry quarterback Minnesota Vikings, Nick cousins. I got a chance that I saw him a little more often than I saw all because he was he was off and scratched. And so they skated later in the day. And I tell you what, that kid, he got in the line. I mean, he got to play a couple games. I'm really happy you got to participate in the Stanley Cup finals. Unfortunately, he was scratched in game seven, but he's another guy when he was with the coyote. He made a difference. He's got to get under team skin. He worked really hard. He skated hard. He's an aggressive pest that had a little bit of an offensive upside him again. He's a guy that people don't know much about. He's kind of one of those unsung guys in the locker room, but he's a guy you want as a teammate. And I do think as an Arizona coyote, he was underappreciated. I know they appreciate him in the Florida locker room, but I'm really happy to see another Arizona coyote guy lift the Stanley Cup. I was really excited. Well, one last note before we wrap up here, we talked about Keith Kachuk before. He is not a member of the 2024 hockey hall of fame class, much to the chagrin of many. However, few notable coyotes legends made it into the hall P.D. Pavel Datsuke, Shay Walker, and Jeremy Ronik are going to the Hall of Fame three coyotes legend. Do you play so myself? It's amazing. It's an all Arizona coyote class. Absolutely amazing. On the same year the team leaves the valley. They're able to put three players into the hockey hall of fame. That's absolutely amazing. The Datsuke run was amazing here in Arizona. Jeremy Ronik said we always talked about two coyote players that they could be in the Hall of Fame. We all love Shayne Stone. He's in the Hall of Fame of our hearts. He's a phenomenal player. He just didn't put up the kind of numbers that you need to be in the Hall of Fame. Shayne Stone will be on the Mount Rushmore of Arizona sport, but he will not be in the Hall of Fame. Jeremy Ronik and Keith Kachuk are the two names that we talked about often. Hey, these guys should be in the Hall of Fame. Who had more goals? Ronik are Kachuk. In fewer games. Keith Kachuk needs to be in the Hall of Fame. I hear this not just from American players going away against biased boys in America. No, people think Keith Kachuk should be in the Hall of Fame. I think Keith Kachuk should be in the Hall of Fame. Jeremy Ronik, absolutely well deserved put Jeremy Ronik in the Hall of Fame, but Keith Kachuk needs to be in the Hall of Fame. I don't know how I need to beat this drum that Keith Kachuk should do with over 500 goals in the National Hockey League in 1200 games. How he is not in the in the hockey Hall of Fame blows me away. I just I cannot understand what he's not there. Happy for Jeremy Ronik. I think we've seen the heart of a player when he played here. I mean, his best years were in Chicago. When he played here, he was he was a guy you could tell him. And he was a guy that made this team tick and that was when this teams were good. The Kachuk Ronik team were really good. Unfortunately, they didn't have the playoff success that I think they deserved. But but a lot of that was because what Jeremy Ronik did and congratulations to Jeremy Ronik, getting into the high kelp. I'm an unbelievable honor and a guy that I think we can always as Arnold hockey fans be proud of that that a true Arizona coyote is in the Hall of Fame. I think that's that's really cool. I know he's going to go in as a black hawk, but but but he is he is a coyote and he wore it probably when he was here. So congratulations to Jeremy Ronik and Keith Kachuk. Hopefully you're next. Absolutely. Well, then full week in the NHL. It's only going to get more eventful as the week goes on. Craig and I are headed to the NHL draft this weekend.
