Pretribulation rapture is taught by J.N.Darby in the year 1830. Until then this teaching is unheard of. When we study the three parallel passages from the gospels, we notice that Jesus is very clear that we should look for the abomination of the desolation, which will be followed by tribulation. Then, the sun will stop shining, moon will stop giving light etc. then, the sign of the son of man will appear in the sky. Angels of God who come along with Jesus will gather the believers from the four corners of the earth.
