The Lord showed that Christians are busy trying to clean up outward appearance but the Lord is interested in the inside of the heart. If the heart is clean, that worship is acceptable to him.

Then, we see Paul going to Thessalonica to preach the gospel. His problems there and how he is forced out to go to Berea. The good practice of Bereans checking to see if what is preached by Paul is so.
