My name is Ryan and I am a Bible Nerd! We continued through Luke's Gospel and have made it to Chapter 6. In verses 1 through 11 we have two stories about breaking what the Pharisees considered things unlawful on the Sabbath which is a day of rest. The first is when Jesus' disciples are walking down the road and are hungry so the pull the top of some grain and rub it in between their hands to thresh out the wheat. Jesus uses the story in 1st Samuel 21 of when David ate the showbread in the temple so he takes it even further and turns the grain into bread. Next is the story of Jesus healing the man with a shriveled hand. Yet the priest missed the miracle. Then in verses 12 through 19, we have Jesus picking his 12 and we get ready for Luke's account of the Sermon on the Mount.
Break out your bibles and let's review these verses together! Also, let me know what is your go-to translation.
