(upbeat music) - Welcome into the Gorilla Sports Podcast. I'm your host, Alex Boulpin. And it's Tuesday, July 2nd. I hope everyone had a fun and safe Canada day. Hope you're not too hung over today. But we had two plays yesterday and we had two winners yesterday. We swept the board. Love that. We're on another heater. We're up over five units our last two days. Love it. Let's get into the plays. So we had the Houston Astros on the money line to break the Canadian Toronto Blue Jays' hearts. And that went well. Although we had no El Tuve for the game. He got ejected the game before. And I don't know, he was just heated. So I think they just gave him a day off which is like a rarity. This guy is like an Iron Man. He never misses time. So to see him scratch from the lineup, I did not like that at all. However, on the other side, we said that Vlady got hit by a ball and he might not go and he didn't go. And they needed him. There was no Vlady and no IKF. Apparently he got hurt in warm-ups. So they're two hottest hitters for the Blue Jays. Didn't play. And they needed him because they had the bases loaded a couple of times. They were batting around. But when it came down to clutch hitting, they couldn't do anything as per usual. Both teams only had four hits the entire game. Yareo Rodriguez pitched amazing. He knocked out the first 14 batters in a row. So 14 batters, no hits, no base runners. Whoa, that looked really good. Until the fifth inning when NapeƱa hit a solo home run. So it went one nothing all the way till top nine. So this was just like a fingernail biter. There was no room for error in this. And yeah, like I said, the Jays had a ton of base runners. They were getting walks and hit by pitches and all sorts of stuff, but they couldn't cash in when they needed to. And Jordan Alvarez, we took him to get over one and a half hits, runs and RBIs, or over one and a half bases. So top nine with one out and a man on. Boom, he crushes a home run. That was a sick hit. So that put us up three to nothing for the Houston Moneyline. And then it cashed our hits, runs and RBIs play. And it cashed over the one and a half bases. Love that. And then yeah, Toronto ended up hitting one more run. So it ended up being a three to one final. So we cashed both of our plays. They had a ton of free same game parlays and all sorts of stuff like that. And I actually smashed a nice one. I had Houston minus one and a half runs. So again, that hit was massive for me. I took Hunter Brown to get five strikeouts. And then I had Jordan Alvarez to get one RBI. Jordan Alvarez to get two bases. And then I had a Jose L2 Bay one hit. So that one voided off. But excuse me, that was still a nice parlay that I hit yesterday. So yeah, sick candidate today. There was only three games on the slate yesterday. But it's back to a nice 15 game slate today. And I love some plays today. Let's get into some action. All right, our first game, we are going to take Arizona and the LA Dodgers over eight and a half runs. Now this comes in at a minus 120. Now it's Ryan Nelson going for Arizona. This guy's five and six. He's got a 569 ERA and a 1.57 whip. And he gives up 11.78 hits per nine. Love those numbers. A couple of games ago, his last start actually, we bet on Minnesota versus him for these same reasons that we don't love Ryan Nelson. And he didn't let us down. Minnesota smashed him. He gave up 10 hits and six runs before they yanked him. Minnesota won that game eight to three. So yeah, Ryan Nelson's getting absolutely crushed. And on the other side, it's Bobby Miller going for the Dodgers. Now he's been injured. He's only had five starts this year, but they haven't gone well. He's one in one with a 675 ERA and a 1.65 whip. Terrible numbers. His last start, he got pulled after two innings versus the Chicago White Sox. Giving up four hits, three runs and three walks. The Dodgers themselves have been scoring a ton and giving up a ton of runs. Their last two games with San Francisco in San Francisco, which is a very pitcher-friendly park, they've scored 35 total runs over those two games. So they're just scoring a ton of runs and giving up a ton of runs. Love that. With these two offenses versus these two pitchers, give me over eight and a half runs all day. Our next play is we are taking the Kansas City Royals and the Tampa Bay Rays. And we're gonna go over, I got it at eight and a half last night at minus 130. I see that it skyrocketed today. It's like up over minus 170 now. So I still like it at nine and a half getting a plus 100 at that as well. So a better number there for the plus money with the juice, but I love my eight and a half number, but I still like it at nine and a half as well. Now it's Zach Little going for Tampa Bay. This guy's two and five with a 417 ERA. He's giving up 10.56 hits per nine, so he's getting up a ton of hits. And he's the fifth percentile in barrel rate, which is terrible. It just means like everybody gets a barrel on everything he throws. He doesn't have swing and miss stuff. People are hitting it. And this is a terrible combination for Kaufman Field in Kansas City. We've said this before. We've attacked guys that are contact pitchers in Kansas City before. And this massive outfield is not a good combination for Zach Little. And on top of that, we've got 15 mile an hour winds blowing dead center out into that big outfield. So I can see Kansas City putting up a ton of runs against this guy. He's also giving up a home run in eight straight games, at least one home run in eight straight games. Not good numbers, not a good combination versus this outfield and this offense. Brady Singer's going on the other side for Kansas City. You know, he's four and four. He's got a 312 ERA. Now he pitched his, well, his last time out versus Miami, but the two before versus good offenses, like the Dodgers, he gave up three home runs to the Dodgers before they yanked him. And then he went versus the New York Yankees, the time before that, he gave up seven hits, seven runs. Now Tampa Bay's playing some good baseball right now. They're seven and three over their last 10. So with these two offenses, these two pitchers, this outfield, wind blowing at our back, give me over eight and a half or over nine and a half runs. I like both of them. All right, now I got some batter plays that I really like as well. Now our first one, we're gonna go to Juan Soto of the New York Yankees and we're gonna take him over one and a half hits, runs and RBIs. Now this is usually only on draft Kings, some other sites if you have them as well. So you have to shop around. It sucks that FanDuel doesn't do this. So sorry for you straight FanDuel people, but this is gonna be a draft Kings play. It doesn't exactly convert the strategy on this one to just over one and a half bases, although I wouldn't mind that versus Soto as well, but I prefer this over one and a half hits, runs and RBIs. Now it comes in at minus 125, so I like that price. Now Soto's batting 303 on the year, so he bats for average anyway, so he could get it in two hits alone. He's three for nine with two doubles versus Graham Ashcraft at the Cincinnati Reds. Now Ashcraft is not pitching well this year. He's four and four with a 595 ERA and a 149 whip. Now he just got set down to the minors and they pulled him back up. So his last start was versus Pittsburgh, and that didn't go well either. He gave up nine hits, six runs and two home runs to a Pittsburgh offense. And now we're going versus the New York Yankees. Good luck with that. Soto's also scored the second most runs in the entire majors just behind our boy Gunnar Henderson. And so, he walks a ton as it is, and have an Aaron Judge hit behind him. I mean, he can just get two walks and have Aaron Judge knock him in every time. But with this offense going versus this pitcher, I think there's going to be a ton of runs. I think they're going to keep turning the batting order over and over again. So it's going to give him a ton of opportunities to get some hits, runs and RBIs. So give me one Soto over one and a half HRRs. That's for a full unit, I like that one. All right, and then I got two batter parlays that I like. We are going to take Gunnar Henderson, our boy. He's going versus George Kirby in Seattle. So we're actually getting a really good price on this because the total set really low. It's set at seven and a half. But Henderson sees Kirby really well. He's batting 429 versus Kirby. He's batting 300 versus right handed pitching. And he's got a hit in 21 out of his last 25 games. Love those numbers. Now we're going to pair him with Brandon Rogers of the Colorado Rockies. Now he's going versus Dallas Keiko. And we bet against Dallas Keiko in his season debut, and it did not go well for Keiko. He gave up eight hits, five runs and two home runs. And now he's got to go to Coors Field and deal with that altitude. Good luck. Now that total is set at 11 and a half today. So they think there's going to be a ton of runs in Coors Field. And now Brandon Rogers, he's got a hit in 22 straight home games. This guy loves batting in Coors Field. I mean, everybody loves batting in Coors Field. But this guy is on a pretty nasty tear at home. So when you pair Henderson and Rogers together, you get him at a minus 121. So I like that price for sure. And then our last parlay and our last play of the day is we're going to take Lourdes Guiriel of the Arizona Diamondbacks to get one hit. Now he's got two hits in seven of his last 10 games. Now we already talked about Bobby Miller and how horrible he's been after this injury and his five starts. But Guiriel seen Miller really well. He's three for six. We've gotten 500 versus Miller. He's on a bit of a tear. I think there's going to be a ton of runs scored in this game. So he should get multiple at bats. So I like Lourdes Guiriel to get one hit. We're going to pair that with our boy Aaron Judge. Now Judge has got a hit in 21 out of his last 25 games. He's got two hits and five out of his last six games. And actually that one that he didn't get was the one that we took our two unit play on him. So he's gotten three multi hit games since he couldn't get a hit for us for that two unit play where we needed him to get one hit. So yeah, he's got two hits, two hits and three hits in his next three games after not coming home for us. And he's back in three 18 on the year. And like I said, he's going versus Grand Ashcraft. This pitcher's not great. I think they're going to turn the order over a lot in New York. So when you pair Lourdes Guiriel and Aaron Judge together, you get a minus 109. But really like that price as well. So we've got five full unit plays going today. We're on a bloody good tear. I appreciate everybody reaching out. I've got a lot of orders for different gear and different clothes already. Shout out to you, Kelowna boys. Listen up BC out in the West Coast. Love that. Love the support guys. I hear him in there trying to get some gear out that way as well. So I know you guys are rocking with me. Let's roll. (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
