I'm your pocket fillers, the parlay killer, the north side thriller, start the broadcast. Subscribe with Smash, the Gorilla Sports Podcast. The Gorilla Sports Podcast. Welcome into the Gorilla Sports Podcast. I'm your host Alex Boulpin and it's Friday, June the 28th. Alright guys, we had a kind of a weird mix match of plays going yesterday. We ended up winning some money, so let's get into what we talked and what we had. Our first play, we took the Cubs on the money line and we put half a unit on this one. Cubs had a 3-0 league going into the 6th, San Fran tied it up, 3-3 going into extras. And finally, we win in extras this time, so we had a 5-3 final, so we booked a half a unit on the Cubs. Love that. And then I really liked this play, we had Philly and Miami over 7.5 runs. And I like this one a lot, we put a 1.5 unit around this one. And this cashed in the 7th inning for us. Miami was actually hitting Zach Wheeler really well, but kept hitting into double play after double play. Oh, it was painful. They had zero runs until the 7th inning, and then they finally got to Zach Wheeler a little bit. He ended up giving up two earned runs, but then all of the bullpen guys just kept getting crushed. So Miami scored 4 in the 7th, 2 in the 8th and 1 in the 9th. Philly ended up blowing a 3-0 lead. They had their chances too, they had the bases loaded in the 2nd inning, couldn't do anything with it. So yeah, as a minus 3-15 favorite, Philly ends up losing 7 to 4. But that's 11 runs and that's sailed well over our 7.5. Great read on up in it to 1.5 units there. Love that one, that was plus two units so far. And then we had some batter props. We took Carlos Correa and Jonathan India. We paired those two guys together. Correa top first single, Jonathan India top first single. Boom, doesn't get any easier than that. Gosh, that's another unit there. That's up three units. And then we had Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper to get one hit. Oh, come on Aaron Judge. Oh, what a swing this would have been. He ended up going 0-4, he had two strikeouts. Barrios and the rest of the Toronto team three hit the Yankees. They only got three hits the entire game and he wasn't one of them. So that sucked because Bryce Harper, as we know, bought him first. That's a big RBI double to start the game off. So he came through for us, but yeah, that's a big swing. We put two units on that one. So that's a four unit swing if he doesn't get that. So we lost two units there, so that still puts us up one unit. And then we took Bryce Harper. We put a full unit on him to get one over one and a half bases at plus 135. That number was just so off. I loved it, so I put a full unit on that one. Like I said, bottom of the first, boom, RBI double. So he cashed that force in the first inning. So that puts us up about 2.35 units. So not bad. We sprinkled a bunch of different parlays together with Bryce Harper. So I had him to get two hits and I had him to get three bases and I had him to get four bases. Actually, one of his hits was one foot from the wall. The guy is back against the wall to catch the ball. So just a foot further. That would have cashed a two hit, a three base and a four base. So we were a foot away from having a monster day. And if Judge had got a hit, oh man, that could have been a 10 unit day. So still up just over one and a half units on the day for the podcast. Not bad at all. I ended up having a couple other plays. I ended up putting a unit on Josh Bell to go over one and a half bases. So we were talking his elite numbers versus Zach Wheeler. And because it was versus Zach Wheeler, I got a really good price at +150 for him to get one and a half bases. That cash, he ended up hitting an RBI double. And actually I took a Harper over one and a half H-R-R. That hits plus runs plus RBIs. So any combination of those. And because I was on the over, I assumed that he could either get one hit or if he gets two hits, that counts. If he gets a home run, obviously that's a hit, a run and an RBI. So that would have been three. But he ended up hitting an RBI double in the bottom of the first. So that cashed for us as well. The price was -135 on DraftKings. Yeah, I don't know why FanDuel doesn't do that. Because I like those plays. Those are kind of interesting. I haven't put many of them on the podcast, but I do play myself the odd time. So that was a good spot for that as well. So I ended up winning a couple other units there. So I ended up being about a four or five year day. Can't complain with that. Love that all day. One and a half units on the podcast. Let's get into some plays today. I'm not a big fan of this card on money lines or totals. I've been just scrounging through it and I don't like it. I kind of got a lean on Houston, but I'm not going to pull the trigger. Both of the Mets and Houston are both playing really well right now. I prefer Blanco as the pitcher versus Jose Cantana, but nah, I'm not going to do it. I just have some batter props that I really like today. And that's all I'm going to do for this Friday. So we are going to take the Streak Brothers. We're going with Brian Reynolds to get one hit of the Pittsburgh Pirates. And we're going to pair him with Yandy Diaz of the Tampa Bay Rays to get one hit each. And that comes out to a -125. We're not just blindly doing this, although it kind of seems like it. Brian Reynolds is two for three versus Montos. And he's got a 23 game hitting streak, just insane. And then Yandy Diaz, he's betting 303 versus left handed pitching. He's got two hits and six out of his last eight games. That is wild. And he's on an 18 game hitting streak. Kidby, those two guys together all day comes out at a -125. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. And that's what we're going to do for the first time. Excuse me, plate appearances versus Logan Webb. He's got a hit in 19 of his last 23 games. Love this combo. Altuve and Freeman together comes out at a -114 like that a lot. Our next one, there's four of these by the way. Our next one is LA Dodgers. We're going to take Otani to get a hit. He's three for seven with a double versus Webb. He's got 323 on the year. He's seeing the ball really well. And he's like, don't love him in the lead off spot, but that does give us a couple extra plate appearances. If it goes that way. And we're going to pair him with Milwaukee's Christian Yellich. He's about 325 on the year. He's got a hit in eight of his last nine games. He just came off a three hit game last night. So I like the two of those together. Otani and Yellich, that comes out to a -119. Love that. Our next play is we're going to the Cincinnati Reds. And we're going to take Jonathan India to get one hit. He cashed for us yesterday. He's on a nine game hitting streak. He's got two hits and six games in a row. And he's going versus Andre Poland. He's got a 10.62 hits per nine. So I love that look. And we're going to pair that with Raphael Devers of the Boston Red Sox. He's about 285 in the year. He's about 318 in June. He's really heating up. And he's going versus our boy Randy Vasquez of San Diego, who gives up 12.97 hits per nine. Like that. And actually he's much worse against left handed batters, which Raphael Devers is. So we've got four plays today and it's four double hitter parlays. And I like them all. So I'm going to put one unit on all of those. So those are all four of those. And if you're on fan duel today, they're doing that run line parlay again, where you've got one dollar and you get five tries to try and hit one of these parlays. And if you hit one of these parlays, they'll give you a hundred bucks. So again, our strategy for this is to take two close teams. Two teams that either team could win. But you take the one that's plus one and a half runs. So it's going to be plus one and a half runs at like minus 200. Remember, we don't care about this parlay. We just want to win the hundred dollars. So try and get five teams that are even money with the other opposing team and get them at the plus one and a half parlay five of those together. Don't get me wrong. You can splash in a Philly, maybe minus one and a half. They look like they'll crush a couple other teams like that that really have a good shot of winning. And yeah, so we'll try and do that. We've we hit our last one where we won our hundred dollars on our parlay. So I like that a lot. And then on draft Kings they have a parlay boost where the more parlay pieces you put into it, the higher the percentage gets. So I took all eight of our batters and I took them all to get two hits. So this was a 70 excuse me, a 65% parlay boost. And I put $5 on our eight players to get two hits each. And it comes out to $35,000. So that would be a nice Friday if we could hit one of those bad boys. Don't get me wrong, the chances that happening are about 35,000 to one. But I still like this play. I mean, all of these guys are guys that can hit two in a game. So this isn't that far fetched for this to come through. So I did that. I put a $5 just little cheap old bet on it. Draft Kings also has a plus 200 home run surge, which essentially means you're just taking one guy to get a home run and they'll add plus 200 odds for you. So I took Bobby Whit to get the home run. He comes in at a plus 290, so we end up getting at a plus 490. He's going versus Tristan McKenzie of Cleveland, the home run give up king. He's got the most home runs given up in the league this year. And the last time he played against Kansas City, Bobby Whit hit two home runs against him. So that's not a bad look for him to get a home run at plus 490. So I like that a lot as well. And then also on Fandul, I did a round robin of all of our players to get two hits as well. So essentially, all around Robin is it takes out the guesswork for you. So like we said, when all eight of those parlayed together pays $35,000 on a $5 bet. On the round Robin, it pays much, much less because it takes every different combination of all eight of these players and puts them into a parlay. So you'll get every three hit parlay, excuse me, every three player parlay, every four player parlay, things like that. So I can't guess which ones are going to get the two hits, but the more of them that get two hits, the more it pays. So it costs more money to do this. I think this was like a $35 bet, so it's almost a half a unit for me. But a $35 bet, and I think it paid out somewhere in the round of $1,200 or something like that if they all come through. But obviously if they all come through, we're going to win the $35,000. But it's more of a kind of hedged bet where I think a lot of these guys could get two hits, but I don't want to have to make 60 parlays of all the different combinations of them. I'd rather than the website do it for me. And so all the ones that don't come through obviously count as losers. So the more that come through, the more we win. So be thinking about that if you're going to do it, the more of these guys that get two hits, essentially you need four of the eight guys to get two hits and you'll be profiting decent amount of money. If three of them, you'll probably break even maybe lose a bit. If two of them come through, you'll definitely lose, and obviously if one or less, you'll lose the whole bet. But I kind of like that as well. So we've got four one unit bets on all of our batters to get one hit each. We're going to do the fan duel parlays where it's going to cost $5 to get $1 parlays on all the different run lines. So that's just for fan duel guys. And then make sure you do your boost. So listen, I did the boost for the two hits. If you want to do it on all of these guys to get one hit, it'll obviously pay much, much less. We've got a hell of a lot better chance of actually hitting that one because that could actually come through. I could see all eight of these guys getting one hit for us. But I like this card, man. I like our batters. I like our setups. I like who they're going against. So all right, guys. If you're rocking with me, let's roll. [MUSIC PLAYING] (upbeat music)
