(upbeat music) - Welcome into the Gorilla Sports Podcast. I'm your host, Alex Volpin. And it's Thursday, June the 27th. All right guys, let's get into the board from yesterday. We had six plays yesterday. We had one that rained out, so we only had five plays. Four of those were full unit plays, which we went three and one on, and we had one half unit play that we lost. So we won one and a half units yesterday. We'll take that all day, every day. We lost a unit the day before, so we got that back and then some. So we're back on track, beauty night last night. Let's get into the plays. All right, let's go to the batters first. We took Bryce Harper to get one hit, and we paired that with Jose Altuve. Bryce Harper waited till the top of the ninth to get his hit, but he came through, and Altuve had two hits, so he had a good game, so that cashed easily. And then we did the streak prop, where we took Brian Reynolds on his 22 game hit streak to pair with Yandie Diaz on his 19 game hit streak. Top of the first, Brian Reynolds single, bottom of the first, Yandie Diaz single. Let's go, that doesn't get easier than that. I might have to keep doing that going forward. I mean, these guys are on absolute heaters, and they're not giving them any credit, 'cause they're not really hitting two and three hits. They're kind of just hitting one hit every single game. So I mean, Yandie Diaz on an 18, 19 game hit streak. I mean, you could have paired him with Reynolds for 19 winners in a row. Wow, that could have been some serious dollars. So we smashed our hitter parlays, and then we took Texas on the money line, and we put a half a unit on this one. And it was versus Dallas Keiko. And we were talking about this before, but momentum is an absolute killer. So the second inning, we hit four singles in a row. We score one run and load the bases with zero out. And then it goes line out, fly out, line out. No sacrifices, no nothing. We get zero runs out of the bases loaded, zero out, brutal. And then in the bottom third, with two out, Milwaukee loads the bases, boom, grand slam. That's how you clear the bases. Great, now we're stuck four to one, but we get to Dallas Keiko again. We put up four runs in the fourth inning. We take the lead back, five to four. Only to tie it back up, five, five. And then we lose an extras. Ah, that was a bit of a roller coaster ride. I really think we should have won that one. It was only a half a unit, so not the end of the world, but that one sucked. We should have won that one. We took Baltimore and Cleveland over nine runs. Now Baltimore loads the bases, bought 'em first, and we got Sandtander, you homered in the game the night before, flies out. Okay, okay, we got Jordan Westbrook. He had a four hit game the night before. Nope, he goes out again. We got nothing out of that bases loaded. There was five solo home runs in this game, and we couldn't get over nine runs. And Baltimore kept getting caught stealing. What are you guys doing? Matteo in the fifth ends up trying to steal second. Gets gunned out the very next pitch. Henderson home run. It's like, buddy, like these are runs. You guys are just giving away. What are you doing? So we didn't get there on that one. That was our one full unit loser. We had the Boston Toronto game, and we took 'em over nine and a half runs. They didn't get suspended in the first or second innings, so they just voided the bet. And then we took the twins on the money line. This was a good read. Ryan Nelson got rocked. He only lasted three innings, giving up 10 hits and six runs. Yeah, Minnesota absolutely cruised to this. When they were up, eight won most of the game. And it ended up being an eight-three file, so it's like a zero sweat. Great, smashed it. We ended up three and one on full units, and we lost a half a unit on Texas, so not a bad day at all. We'll take that. Now, let's get into the place today. I got something I really like today. We're gonna take Philadelphia and Miami over seven and a half runs. Now, I got that at minus 120, which I really like that price. I see it's gone to eight, but I would honestly pull the alternative total lines down and make sure you get it over seven and a half. You're probably gonna end up playing minus 127, minus 130 maybe, but I do much prefer the seven and a half than the eight. I don't want you to get that push. Now, it's Trevor Rogers going for Miami. This guy is one and eight. He's got a 490 ERA, not great. He's pitched once versus Philly already this year, and he only lasted three innings. He gave up nine hits and five runs in three innings. So, I mean, Philly could cover this seven and a half on their own. So, not only do they rock 'em this year, they've got a decent history against them. Castileios is four for eight with a homer. Sosa three for three with a homer and a double. Harper four for 12. So, decent history against this guy already, and we need over seven and a half runs. Now, the reason it said seven and a half 'cause here's the bad news. They're going versus Zach Wheeler. This guy's one of the best pitchers in baseball. He's nine and four. He's got a 275 ERA and a .96 whip. Now, he's only been rocked like really good twice this year. Once was two games ago against Baltimore, where he gave up nine hits and eight runs, and the other one was against this same Miami team. He only lasted four innings, giving up six hits and six runs. You're telling me Miami's gonna get six runs and we need to get over seven and a half. Granted, that was just the one time, but it happened already this year. It could happen again, and actually Miami has a decent history against them. Sanchez, six for 15. That in 400. Chisholm, four for 13. That in 308 with a homer and three doubles. And Josh Bell is eight for 26. That in 308, he's got four homers versus Zach Wheeler and a double. I like that. So, give me Philadelphia Miami over seven and a half, and I put one and a half units on that one. I up that one a little bit 'cause I do like the number we're getting. I think it should be eight and a half. So, I do like that when I put that one at one and a half. And then I got a half unit play I like as well. We're gonna take the Cubs on the money line. We're gonna put a half a unit on it. Now, we're back in Shota, a Monaga. And this is our superstar Japanese rookie pitcher. This kid is on fire. He's seven and two. He's got a 296 ERA at a 1.1 whip. He's giving up two runs or less in 12 out of his 14 starts this year. And that's including six shutouts where he's literally giving up zero runs six times to his opposing hitters. He's got an MLB best 1.4 walks per nine. That is good stuff. However, he just got destroyed his last timeout giving up 10 hits in like 10 runs. So, that's the reason we're only on a half unit. And it's versus Jordan Hicks of San Francisco. He's four on four with a 324 ERA. They're both kind of middling offenses. The Cubs are kind of reeling a little bit. They've lost four in a row, but I love this pitcher. And against this San Francisco middle of the pack offense. And we're getting them at a minus 110. Give me a half a unit on the Chicago Cubs on the money line. All right, let's get into some batter props I like. We're gonna take Jonathan India of the Cincinnati Reds to get one hit. And we're gonna pair it with Carlos Correa of the Minnesota Twins. Now, India's batting 318 with three homers in 22 played appearances versus Miles Mikolas. He's got two hits in five straight games, and he's on an eight game hitting streak. We love those numbers. So, it can be one hit for him. And we're gonna pair that with Carlos Correa. He's 306 on the year. He just had a three hit game last night. He crushes lefties. And he's going versus Jordan Montgomery, the leftie who gives up 11 hits per nine. Oh, I like that combo together. And pairing the two of those, we get plus one on one. So yeah, love those numbers. All right, and this is my favorite play of the day. We're gonna take Bryce Harper to get one hit, and we're gonna pair it with Aaron Judge to get one hit. I think both of these numbers are kind of off, especially Bryce Harper. This one seems wild to me. Harper's on an 11 game hitting streak. He's batting 333 versus Rogers. He, in the game that Rogers pitched versus Philly already, he had two hits in that game. I'll get into some more of his stats in a minute, but Harper is absolutely on fire right now. And we're gonna get him to get one hit. Love that. And we're gonna pair it with Aaron Judge. Judge has got a hit in nine out of his last 10 games. He's batting 412 versus Barrios with four homers and two doubles. So he sees Barrios really well. The pair and these two together, and we get that at plus 104. That is a beautiful price. I love that. I put two units on that one by itself. I really like that play. So I got a one and a half unit on Philly on the Moneyline. I got a half unit on Chicago. I got a full unit on India and Korea. And then we just took a two uniter on Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies and Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. I like those guys together a lot. Now I also took a full unit on Bryce Harper to go over one and a half bases. So that means either he gets two hits. He hits a double, a triple, a homer, anything where he collects two bases that have nothing to do with walks or hit by pitches. He's covered this over one and a half bases in six out of his last seven games. And in those seven games, he's put up 35 bases. He's averaging five bases per game over his last seven. That is wild. And on DraftKings, it comes in at a plus 135. I know it's, I think it's plus 110 on Vandal, but plus 135. For a guy who's done this in six out of his last seven times and cleared the number by three and a half bases. I love that. So I put a full unit on that one as well. And I also sprinkled a little bit on three plus bases and four plus bases. You get the three plus bases at two plus two 50, the four plus bases at plus four 60. The reason I did the four bases, instead of just him hitting a homerun, the homerun is at plus 450, I think. So getting 90 cents less of juice, but you'll be regretting it when he hits two monster doubles that whack off the fence and don't quite go out. And he hits two doubles and gets his four bases that way. You'll be pretty sour. You didn't go and take four bases instead of going for the more expensive homerun. So yeah, I got a lot of action on Harper today. I've kind of paired him a lot of different ways. I also took a play on Harper to get two hits. And that's at plus 260. Love that number as well. I mean, normally he's in the, you know, plus 200 plus 190 kind of area. And I mean, he's absolutely crushing right now. And then I also did a Harper two hits and a judge two hits, parlay. And that pays a plus 915 for the two of those guys together. So I got a lot of eggs in this Philly Miami basket. So if we don't call this right, we didn't read this right. We're gonna take a bath, but I like the value on this. I think there's a ton of value on this. So I'm gonna find a couple of different ways to get in on Harper, but I've already got about four units collectively with Harper and then Harper and judge combined. So I'm loving this card today. I hope you are too. And if you're rocking with me today, let's roll. (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
