I'm your pocket fillers, the parlay killer, the north side thriller, start the broadcast, subscribe with smash, the Gorilla Sports podcast, the Gorilla Sports podcast. Oh, welcome into the Gorilla Sports podcast, I'm your host, Alex Boulton, and it's Wednesday, June 26th. All right, guys, let's talk about yesterday's plays. We had five plays going, and we had two winners and three losers. We gave away one unit yesterday. We were one jerendaran hit away from a winning day compared to now it is a losing day. Let's talk about what we had. So we had Boston, Toronto, over nine and a half runs. This sailed over. It was a nine-four Toronto win. Toronto actually cashed in a lot of their base runners this time, which they hadn't been doing over their seven-game losing streak. Vlad, he actually played really well. He went two for five with two doubles, four RBIs. He was clutched with runners in scoring position, and then we took a half unit play on the Boston Red Sox on the Money Line, and the reason it was a half unit is because I was worried about Brian Bello, and he got rocked. He lasted two winnings and gave up seven runs. Oh, yeah, that wasn't a good look for him. We called this game pretty good, but yeah, the half unit of Boston, I probably should have just stayed away from it. That's all right. We won one unit on the over, and we lost a half unit on Boston. Then we took Philadelphia Phillies on the Money Line. They lost four-one to Detroit. It was scoreless through four innings, and then top five, Philly gets runners at second and third, but can't cash him in, and sports is a crazy thing with momentum. They can't cash in there, guys, in the top of the fifth. So in the bottom of the fifth, Detroit makes them pay. They score four runs. That's all they scored. The whole game was just that one inning, and they went on to win four-to-one. So we lost that one, and then we did another half unit play on Baltimore and Cleveland, both teams to score two and a half runs. This cashed in the second inning. This was a no-douder. They went on to a 10-8 total, 18 runs, sailed over, every over, imaginable, so that was a good call, good read. I wish they put a full unit on that now, but hey, what are we going to do? And then we had a batter parlay. We had Stephen Kwan to get one hit. He got through, and then, yeah, like I said, Jared Duran went over five. Yeah, so we were one hit away from winning, actually. He had this line drive that Kevin Kiermeyer just laid out for, dove to catch it. You know, we got the golfer's clap from Kevin Gossman as he's absolutely lying on the floor with making that catch. So a couple of inches one way or the other way, and we had a winning day instead. We have a losing day. That's all right. That's what comes with sports betting and gambling. However, we are still up nine units over the last four days. We'll take that all day. Let's get into the action today. We're going to take the twins on the Moneyline, and we're back in Simeon Woods, Richardson. I like this 23 year old kid. He's two and one. He's got a 320 ERA and a 1.14 whip, and he's going versus Ryan Nelson of Arizona. This guy's five and five. He's got a 518 ERA and a 148 whip, not great numbers. And he actually pitches worse at home. He's got a 1.1 higher earned run average at home. Now a lot of that is because Chase Field is a very hitter friendly part, and he doesn't have swing and miss stuff. He has the fourth worst strikeout percentage among qualified pitchers in the majors. So he's not blowing up by it, and this twins offense in this park, I think they're going to make him pay. Give me the Minnesota Twins minus 120 on the Moneyline. Our next play is we are going right back to Boston, Toronto over nine and a half runs. It's Yario Rodriguez going and the bullpen for Toronto again. So let's see how that goes, didn't go well the last time. Rodriguez is 0 and 2. He's got a 594 ERA and a 1.92 whip, brutal numbers. He lasted one inning, his last outing versus Cleveland. He gave up three walks and five runs, Cleveland scoring seven runs in that inning, going on to smash Toronto, and it's cutter Crawford going for Boston. This guy's three and seven, he's got a 359 ERA. His last three starts, he's given up seven home runs. However, he's striking out 24 batters over those three games. So he's averaging eight Ks a game and over two home runs a game. That's kind of a wild split there. I think a lot of it's because like his fastball only tops out at 93 miles an hour, so he's not blowing it by ya. So if you can time this guy up, you can really smash off him. He does have a pretty nasty slider, which usually the J's can't stay away from. So hopefully the J's can put up a couple of runs because I know Boston is going to rock Rodriguez in the bullpen. So give me Boston, Toronto over nine and a half runs. Our next play is we're going right back to Cleveland in Baltimore, and we're going to take him over nine runs. Now I've seen eight and a halfs as well at like minus 135 up to about minus 150. I like that as well, but we're going to call it nine on the podcast today. Now we took him over the two and a half run, both teams of score yesterday, and it went 10 to eight. Easy peasy. Now it's Carlos Carrasco going, this guy's three and six, he's got a 5.4 ERA. Now like this guy used to have swinging this stuff, but he's 37 years old, and his fastball tops out at 91 miles per hour. So I mean that is batting practice for this Baltimore offense. Cleveland and Baltimore are the number one and number two offensive run score teams in the majors, so they're both can score some runs, and it's Grayson Rodriguez going for Baltimore. He's eight and three. He's got a 382 ERA, and he got rocked his last game out by Houston. He gave up nine hits and seven runs. So I mean last game going up to 18 runs. I think we've got some wind blowing out there in Baltimore again. So I think with these two pitchers, get us over nine runs. I like that play as well. I got another lean I like as well. I'm going to put a half unit on this one, and it's on the Texas Rangers. And it's minus 120, and we're back in Nathan of all these four and threes, got a 314 ERA, 1.14 whip. So decent numbers, he's a solid starting MLB pitcher. But speaking of not good starting MLB pitchers, the Brewers have just announced that they signed Dallas Kikel, and it looks like he's going to be the starter today. He just pulled this guy off the couch, I mean he hasn't made the starting roster in Houston. And this guy has not had an ERA lower than five in his last five years. So I'm not sure why they're all excited and they're having these press conferences about Dallas Kikel. Yeah, he won the Cy Young, but this guy's 36 years old, and he's got no velocity left. So we'll see how this goes for them. It's either Kikel or they're going to pull up a AAA prospect. So either way, give me Texas, minus 120 on the road versus Milwaukee. So we've got those four plays going, and I got a couple of batter props I like as well. And I'm going to take my first batter prop is going to be the streak boys. We're going to take Brian Reynolds to get one hit. He's on a 22 game hitting streak. That is insane. Biggest in the majors. Brian Reynolds of the Pittsburgh Pirates. And we're going to take Yandy Diaz of the Tampa Bay Rays. This guy's on an 18 game hitting streak. Both these guys are just absolutely seeing the ball, crushing it. So put those two guys together and you get a minus 109. I like that a lot. And then I've got another one I like. We're going to take Bryce Harper to get one hit. This guy's on fire right now. He's got two hits and five out of his last six games. He's on a 10 game hitting streak last night versus Detroit Super ace. No one could do anything except for him. He had two hits, including a home run. So Harper is just seeing the ball really well. And we're going to pair that with Jose Altuvet. He's back in three 16 at home. He's got two hits and three out of his last four games. And he's going versus Felter of Colorado. He's got a 10.82 hits per nine. So I like that combination as well. So we got Bryce Harper of Philly and Jose Altuvet of Houston. And that comes out to a minus 119. So we got a lot of action today, guys. It's a 16 game slate. And a lot of the action starts in the early afternoon. So hopefully you get your listen on soon and get your picks in, guys. Because I know you're rocking with me. Let's roll. (upbeat music)
