Beth and Kate interview Mark S! Mark lives in Columbiana with his wife, Beth and their daughter, Jayden. Mark and Beth also have two grown sons, Jacob and Jordan! Mark was born in Germany, the son to a father in the military. His family ended up returning to the states and moved to Ohio. Mark attended Ohio State for a short stint and then moved to California. While living in CA, he was diagnosed with cancer. After months of unsuccessful treatment, his doctors encouraged him to get his affairs in order. and Mark moved back to Ohio. At that time, he met Beth, and months later he was told the doctors could find no cancer! Mark spent about 20 years in retail before going back to school to become a teacher! He spent 14 years an a PE and a Bible teacher in a Christian school. This year he will begin a new position as principal at a Christian school in Pennsylvania! Mark has been at the Upper Room since 2003. We're so grateful for Mark and all the ways he has practically served and loved his family, his friends, the school and our church! If you know Mark, you know he is a straight shooter! Kids love and flock to him! He is genuine and desires to love his family well.
