Now, from the high mountains of free America, here's the emerald city exile, Todd Herman. Today is the day the Lord has made and these are the times in which God has decided we should live. Episode 1679, the first for Tuesday. Continuation of a theme. Real men are standing up against sex trafficking in its demand generation systems. This time, a discussion with Caleb Ultimier, founder and CEO of helping captives.org. We talked yesterday with Nate Lewis about how he's approaching fighting sex trafficking with his group, resistance rescue mission. They're working with law enforcement to help them bust guys who are seeking to rent the bodies of children and he trains cops. He goes out and they look through the digital world to see who's near to doing things like this, stopping it that way. Caleb's at the other end of this. Caleb's heart is to help people who are captive now to sex trafficking. And he learned about the realities of sex trafficking when he learned that it had happened to a neighbor. And a lady came in and told us him her story. Well, that lady that came in told him her story said that she'd been trafficked from six or seven years old. But it was our neighbor. Oh, oh, it was my neighbor that I thought was our babysitter because she'd come over and hang out with us and play with us. My mom said, and she wasn't really a babysitter. She was just a neighbor that would come over and play with you guys. But in my mind at six, she's the babysitter. And so first girl had a crush on the whole deal. So it really hit home for me when I'm hearing her story and she's telling us that the reason she'd come over all the time was we were the only safe family she knew. This freaked me out because this is the second time in chatting with these guys that we actually shared something deeply in common, the same thing happened to me. You'll hear that in the podcast, learning about it through a neighbor. The way they approach this is, in fact, to make sure that women have a place to go. And they're working on, they've secured and working on purchasing a building that used to be used for strippers. Well, we did the first thing I did when we bought the club is I called all the men in the community together to do a men's revival service and remove the stages. And so we did that and we had over 300 guys show up and we smashed the stages and remove them. And we did a full-on service, 30 men gave their lives to the Lord. All these guys repented of just objectifying women. And it was a men's club. So I thought men should dedicate this back to the Lord. Interestingly, now Caleb shared with us in that discussion that when they got this building began to turn it into this sanctuary, not all the women were pleased. Some of them were afraid because we would never think this. Places like that actually provided a modicum of safety for them, meaning it had structure. Caleb also talks about the future and the future dependent upon changing the way kids are treated in school. He thinks sex trafficking begins in junior high. That's episode 1,679, episode 1,680. Speaking of Jeff Bezos and the dying Washington Post, want to hear a Bezos story? I'll share a Jeff Bezos story with you. If you've been with us a long time, you might have heard it, but it's bears repeating because the people who run the Washington Post, Bezos among them are facing pushback from their team. They tried to put an editor in place to change things, but the editor got run out of town. We'll talk about that and I'll remind you, the sort of person that Jeff Bezos can be. Remember when they had William Shatner who got to go and be with the team when one of Bezos's rockets went into the sky, you might remember when Bezos just stole the stage from Bill Shatner, who was trying to tell an emotional story. We'll also look at some of the changes that have gone on in a world related to the Washington Post's snopes. Snopes.com for some reason is being celebrated now by conservatives for suddenly telling the truth about Ashley Biden's diary and something else. But why are we celebrating this? It's seven years later, this no longer matters in the election cycle. Lots of people in media, though, should be doing the same thing that Snopes has done. Anderson Cooper did an entire segment on right-wing media selectively editing videos, but wasn't there a time when Anderson Cooper did the same thing? On the streets in America, chanting Nazi slogans, they were tapping into the deep and dark vein and what's known today is replacement theory. Now, most people watching that would be outraged. The former president said this. And you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. Very fine people among Americans that night chanting Nazi slogans. And you had people, and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally. And this past weekend, we can't ignore this because it's so central to what Democrats have become. Jamal Bowman, remember the guy who pulled the fire alarm in order to disrupt an official government proceeding, which had been, in some cases, an insurrection. Well, he went out and showed exactly who he is as a rally with AOC in Brooklyn. Damn, who the f*ck we are? Bowman, Bowman! That is the five-minute focus.
