Her moments are almost as bad as his. I think his or worse, actually. I don't feel no ways tired. Way, way, way! And you all helped us win in 2020, and we're going to do it again in 2024. It's weird. The whole thing is weird. This is not a president of the United States future. Live from the Matthews Brothers Studios. The rule that the way the Justice Department has been picking special councils for decades is illegal. Do I look like somebody who would make that basic mistake about the law? Yes, you do. Who's your captain, Howie Car? Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture. As my friend Quavo would say, he does not walk it like he talks to it. And this picture. Created Pokemon Go. But I try to figure out how we get them to have Pokemon go to the polls. They're the same picture. Rump swabs, hacks, and moon bats beware. It's... Howie Car. You know, if I had to give any advice to somebody who's trying to get into public speaking at any level, I would say never fake an accent. Am I right, Gavna? [laughter] It just doesn't work, mate. I don't care what it is. How bad is that? What made her think that was going to work? You know, sometimes, you know, a guy like Clinton could go heavier southern accent because he had somewhat of a southern accent as opposed to upper class. Same way with Tony Blair in the UK. He could go, you know, if he was in a working class area, he could go a little down. Or he could go posh, as they say. But you can't just put on a completely phony accent. But, you know, she's not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. Or excuse me, the Kwanzaa tree. I mean, let me... I don't want to offend any Democrats that are listening to the show. But anyway, we've got some... I've got to have a lot of cuts today from Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists, the NABJ. And he just comes out there and, you know, you just know he's not going to get shaken. And I just was saying to Grace, you know, I guess you don't get shaken when you get shot. You know, it's still a line from Winston Churchill during the Boer War. You know, when he was a correspondent, but he was with the British troops. And there was bloody battles against the wars, BOES, the Afrikaans speaking settlers. And he said, "There's nothing so exhilarating as to be shot at with no consequence." And it's... [laughter] You know, I mean, he lost part of his ear. But, I mean, there was basically no consequence considering he got hit in the head. So I think that's the... That's his mindset now. How are you going to shake him? These crazy women, you know, just yelling at him about nothing. And after they kept him waiting for all that time. [laughter] And I guess it was just that they had some kind of technical problems. It wasn't like they just showed up late for the event. But he responded to the fact that they were accusing him of being impolite here. Let's play cut nine. I didn't notice ABC doing any publicity on it, George. We come here extensively, sir. I'd love to move on to different topics. I didn't notice you do any publicity on it at all. I won the case, the biggest case. This is an attack on a political opponent. I have another one where I have a hostile judge. We have you for a limited time, sir. I'd love to move on to different topics. No, excuse you. You're the one that held me up at 35 minutes just so you understand. [laughter] You know, it doesn't matter if she wasn't responsible for the technical difficulties. I mean, she's the moderator, and she's giving him the needle for wasting time. [laughter] We're going to go over all these. Let's just cut 11. I was invited here, and I was told my opponent, whether it was Biden or Kamala, I was told my opponent was going to be here. It turned out my opponent isn't here. You invited me under false pretense. And then you said, "You can't do it with Zoom." Well, you know, we're Zoom. She's going to do it with Zoom, and she's not coming. And then you were half an hour late, just so we understand. I have too much respect for you to be late. They couldn't get their equipment working or something was wrong. I think it's a very nasty question. [laughter] We'll play the original. I don't even know if we have the original question. All you need to know, it's a variation on the traditional. When did you stop beating your wife? You know? And there's a -- Lyndon Johnson has a version of it, too. But I can't say that because of FCC regulation. Some of the people know what it is. It involves a pig and carnal knowledge. But that's neither here nor there. You may remember LBJ. Lyle Baines Johnson as -- [laughter] Same goes to Mark Upgrove, President of the LBJ Foundation. [laughter] Yeah. So, Texas already mentioned that. Trump misidentified LBJ as Lyndon Baines Johnson. Everyone knows his name is Lyle Baines Johnson. Okay, so this was -- this was Trump after he got asked when did he stop beating his wife? Cut 8. Mr. President, we so appreciate you giving us an hour of your time. I want to start by addressing the elephant in the room, sir. A lot of people did not think it was appropriate for you to be here today. You have pushed false claims about some of your rivals from Nikki Haley to former President Barack Obama saying that they were not born in the United States, which is not true. You have told four Congresswoman of color who were American citizens to go back to where they came from. You have used words like animal and rabbit to describe black district attorneys. You've attacked black journalists calling them a loser, saying the questions that they ask are, quote, stupid and racist. You've had dinner with the white supremacists at your Mar-a-Lago resort. So, my question, sir, now that you are asking black supporters to vote for you, why should black voters trust you after you have used language like that? Well, first of all, I don't think I've ever been asked a question. So, in such a horrible manner, a first question. You don't even say hello, how are you? Are you with ABC? Because I think they're a fake news network, a terrible network. And I think it's disgraceful that I came here in good spirit. I love the black population of this country. I've done so much for the black population of this country. (laughter) You know, I mean, I guess it's to be expected of state-run media. But the whole thing about Barack Obama not being born in the country, I've been over it a million times, but just to repeat, he put on the cell sheet for his first book that he was born in Kenya. Okay? He did that. Now, and it was discovered opposition research by Hillary Clinton, and unlike the Russian opposition research, which was just made up out of thin air, they actually had the document. (laughter) And Sid Blumenthal, aka Sid Vicious, her hitman, peddled it around. And Trump picked it up? I mean, what are you supposed to do? If a guy says he was born in Kenya, you take him in his word, don't you? He was trying to sell the book, and his excuse was, "Well, I didn't write that my publicist did, or my agent wrote it." That's not an excuse. You're on the hook for that. You know, what you do before something goes out, you have to read it, right? I mean, I remember when Pete Rose -- you remember Pete Rose wrote this autobiography, and there was something in it, and some reporter came to him and said, "This is really offensive what's in your book." And Pete Rose looked at him and said, "You think -- I didn't even read that book let alone write it." But, you know, if you're the smartest man in America, and a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago, and this brilliant guy like Barack Obama claims to be, as opposed to, you know, Pete Rose, you have to take responsibility. And it's not on Donald Trump for believing what's on his own sheet, his own cell sheet, his own publicity. 844, 500, 42, 42. And this is a funny one, too, you know, about Kamala being in -- is she black or is she Indian? Cut 10. Do you believe that Vice President Kamala Harris is only on the ticket because she is a black woman? Well, I can say, no, I think it's maybe a little bit different. So I've known her a long time indirectly, not directly, very much. And she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn black, and now she wants to be known as black. So I don't know, is she Indian or is she black? She is always -- I know why. I respect either one. I respect either one, but she obviously doesn't. Because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn, and she went -- she became a black person. She used to be clear, sir. Do you believe that she is? I think somebody should look into that, too. You know, her -- I don't know what she claimed to be racially, but you do know that, you know, her -- I think her great grandfather on her father's side was an Irish immigrant, and he was one of the biggest slave owners in Jamaica. I mean, so, you know, again, this reparations thing is going to be very hard to sort out, and it's going to be very hard to sort out in her family. I mean, how much of her is going to be paying reparations to what other part of her, you know? And do all the people that have come to this country since -- let's just say since affirmative action started. Do they have to pay reparations if it comes down to it? I don't know. No, I don't think there is -- there are going to be reparations, but there it is. 844, 500, 42, 42, 844, 500, 42, 42. So, this is another interesting day getting underway. We'll have more of these cuts as we go through this thing just wrapped up a few minutes ago. Harris Faulkner is now on -- is now doing a live interview about what it was like. It looks like the hall's empty. I think -- I think Donald J. Trump, racist that he is, was the big draw at the National Association of Black Journalists, and now everybody's checked out to go get robbed by illegal aliens from Venezuela with translator apps. The HowieCar Show is back. 844-542-42844-542-442. There's a new Harvard Harris poll out today and it's got Trump pretty far ahead. I'm not going to get into those poll numbers. They're up and down. It doesn't put too much faith in them. But there is another part of the poll asks about former President Trump's campaign promise to "carry out the largest deportation operation in American history." And it has 62% approval. 39% strongly have supported. 23% somewhat supported. 17% somewhat oppose the largest deportation operation in American history. 20% strongly oppose it. So we now have a solid number on what percentage of the population is now illegal aliens. It's 20% apparently. But anyway, that's the prologue to the poll question. Today's poll question is brought to you by Eden Rafferty, attorneys at law. If you need advice on family law, check out my Meet the Experts podcast with Attorney Joe Roach, wherever you get your Howie Car Show podcast. Jared, what's the poll question? What are the results thus far? Today's poll question, which you can vote in at HowieCarShow.com, is how do you feel about Trump's vow to carry out the largest deportation operation in American history? And we gave you the same options as the poll question. You can vote in that all afternoon. 844-542-42. John, you're next with Howie Car. Hi, Howie, I've been listening since the Governor's. Thank you. Thanks for listening all these times. I'm doing well. Yeah, I love you. I'm just deeply concerned. She's campaigning in states. You shouldn't be in. And all that's after the President's Trump, I'm really concerned. It's not looking good. And also, I don't think it's looking that bad. I mean, you know, George is a swing state, you know, and you know why she got that? I mean, George is a swing state. You know, you know why she got that? I mean, George is a swing state. You know, you know why she got the huge crowd in Georgia, right? They wanted to see the rapper. As soon as the rapper wrapped up, you know, the crowd sent out to Biden numbers, which is 13-15. And do you think he's going to keep JD V in? Oh, come on. John, you're reading too much crap in the mainstream media in which I'm talking about. Yeah, of course he's going to keep JD Vance. JD Vance is over the target with all this, you know, with getting attacked like this. JD Vance is on to something. Of course he's going to keep JD Vance. The bigger question is, are the Democrats going to keep Kamala Harris? Or is this just a tryout? You know, just to see if she has the ability to put something together. So far, I don't see a hell of a lot. She's not doing -- she's not taking any questions. She's not -- she's not doing any sit-down interviews, not even with the usual fluffers, like Stephanie, Stephanopoulos, or whatever Trump called him today. Slop-a-dopolis. Slop-a-dopolis. Slop-a-dopolis. That really is a sad grove, you know? CBS, too, is another bad grove. You see, I saw it today, Nora O'Donnell Quit, you know, she -- she quit. She got -- she got shown the door. And somebody was quoted as someone who works in the operation. She said, "Being on the CBS Evening News now, it's like being in the Witness Protection Program." [ Laughter ] As far as I'm concerned it is, you know? Has anybody ever -- when was the last time you ever watched the CBS Evening News? [ Laughter ] Dave, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead, Dave. Howie, although it's highly entertaining to listen to Trump's scrap with the interviewers, I don't really understand why he just doesn't take those questions and ignore them. And he said something like, "Let's talk about my record with the minority community." Well, he did. He did say that. He said he'd done more for Black -- he said at one point he said, "I've done more for Black community." He said, "The Black population. Communities is, you know, more acceptable a word, but it's the same thing." And he said, "I've done more for the Black population than any president since Abraham Lincoln." So he's -- I mean, he's saying that. He just can't -- I mean, if you -- you know, if you just, you know, tweak him like that, give him the needle, he's going to give you the needle back, Dave. Thanks for the call. 844-500-4242 will be taking more calls and we'll have more cuts from this appearance for the National Association of Black Journalists. I guess somebody quit when they invited him. Well, I mean, what kind of -- what kind of journalism is that? I called Mara Healy's office today for a comment about something. Live from the Matthew's Brothers Studios. 603 says, "Do you really think hold at Healy will even respond to your inquiry?" The important part is I made the effort. So I can say, "Hold it, did not respond to calls." That's all I needed to do. That's it. That's all you got to do. All right. Before we bring grace in, we have VIPs here today and we've got a great spread for him from Monica's in the north end. That's George Mendoza's place he's a candidate for Mayor of Boston and his daughter brought in some stuff, just wanted to check in with her before grace comes in. What have we got today here for Monica? Today we brought in a tray of chicken parm homemade this morning along with Brigittoni with Pomodoro sauce and Caesar salad with homemade dressing. That sounds great. Oh, it's not mine. It is. So we're Vino Teque de Monica. There's also a Treteria, the Monica's Mercado and the pasta shop. It's Monica's. It's some form of Monica's. So that's the important thing. Well, this is great. And thank you so much for bringing it in. It's really fantastic food. The chicken parm is going to just leave me some. That's all I ask of the VIPs. Okay. Please leave me some. As a matter of fact, the mailroom manager is out there. She's leaving. Mailroom manager, give me some chicken parm and some rigatoni as well. Okay. Yes, she says. All right. Okay. Thank you, Veronica, for coming out. And thanks for bringing it in and our best to George. Thank you. See you soon. 844-500-4242-844-500-4242. That first caller was very concerned about everything. 774 says, "Can you tell John to just stop watching CNN?" I keep saying that over and over again to people. Don't be so nervous. Don't listen to white noise. That's what it is. It's white noise. Not in a racial sense. Just in a headache giving sense. It's funny that John was like one of your first callers. I said this same thing to you this morning. I said, "I'm getting very sick of all these people hand-ringing and walking over to me." And I understand that the intention is everybody wants to win. But everyone's like, "Should he have chosen JD Vance or I'm nervous? Are they going to be able to win with Kamala?" And it's all valid. I understand that people are nervous before an election. But guess what? We have three months to go. So buckle up and be in it and be ready. Like this whole sad sag. I hope we don't lose. Wait, wait. It's August. Yeah. Not even. In World War II, the Axis had Tokyo Rose. They had Lord Haha. Now, today, we have CNN, MSNBC. It's the same thing. And you know what? In 2016, when no one thought Trump was going to win, myself included, you too, how we were bold. Yes. I remember the night of the election, everyone was downcast. And Trump called in and he was the same Trump that he was, the entire election or the entire campaign. And he sounded very confident. And guess what? He won. So my only thing is, if this guy survives an assassination and bounces right back up and continues the fight, the least we can do is be a little upbeat in the last three months. We're all like ready to walk to the graveyard like it's over. Yeah. They're trying to bring you down. I didn't mention that Harris, Harvard, Paul, or whatever it is. That has Trump up by like eight or nine points. I didn't even mention it because the poll doesn't matter. I just wanted. The only reason I mentioned it was because I wanted to use the emigration, the mass deportation question. You're running all these polls and then you look at the sample and it's like Democrat plus six. So it's hard to tell if you're even getting accurate polls. You know what I do think is funny though, on social media, if there's a poll that looks really good for Trump, but the responses will be like, they want us to be over confidence so we don't get out to vote. And if there's a poll that looks really bad for Trump, they say, the pollsters want to depress us so that we don't get out to Trump. So my, my update for everyone to be just vote, don't focus on the polls. Don't let the polls affect you that much. Yeah. I try to take my own advice sometimes. What's the old joke about the guy goes to the psychiatrist and he said, the guy says, I have to do something. My head hurts. I just keep banging into a wall and my head hurts. What am I going to do? And the doctor says, why don't you stop banging your head against the wall? That's why. Why are you watching CNN and MSNBC? And why are we constantly allowing Democrats to construct the narrative and like to build everything? That's what I really appreciated about when Trump was getting asked these questions at the NABJ. He takes the question and if he doesn't think that it's based off reality, he takes it wherever he wants it to go. And I encourage that. Don't feel like you have to answer these BS questions about why are you such a racist? Explain it to everybody. And instead he just goes into his platform and I think it's brilliant. He does that when he has interviewers who like him like me. He does the same thing with me and everybody else. It's always fun when he's interviewed by you, how he because you both want to get in there so bad and he just goes back and forth. But you know, when she asked him the question about DEI and is Kamala Harris a DEI choice, a candidate, the crazy part about that is. And I think a really good answer would be for Trump going forward to say, I don't care what color anybody is. I just want them to be competent and she's not competent. But the crazy part is that Biden bragged about how she was a DEI candidate. So I don't understand this. Do you get that? We got to get that. We got to get that cut. Jared, let's let's get that cut to play as we go through the day. It's a goal. So now Trump has to denounce all these Republicans who called her a DEI hire. Well, does he also have to denounce Joe Biden because Joe Biden was bragging about it. Yeah. I know. I know. And you know, I'm sure somebody will say, well, he was talking down to the black audience. But you know, was Joe Biden talking down to the black audience? We said, if you if you vote for if you don't vote for me, you ate black. I mean, is that is that a little patronizing, shall we say, demeaning and I pandering. I fully admit and it's an amazing thing how you how you can see things through your own lens. I like Trump, so a lot of things I give him the benefit of the doubt for some people like the women on that panel, Rachel Scott, for example, you can feel the hate is like seething out of them. But I will say that when I see Trump reacting or answering these questions on this stage, how we I have the exact opposite reaction, I feel like he doesn't coddle anyone. He doesn't care if you're a woman. He doesn't care if you're a man. He doesn't care if you're black, if you're white, he's going to answer those questions however he sees fit. He's not going to be nice to you because he thinks, Oh, you know, like, I have to be nice or else they're going to paint me this way. That's kind of the beauty of it. Some of the some of these debates, not so much this year, but earlier, like when he at the St. Louis Town Hall where he said, you know, you're lucky. I'm not president to Hillary Clinton because I'd lock you up and you know, the first words are going to be you have the right to mean, you know, he I mean, he was he was really jacked up. I don't think he was he wasn't out of control or anything, but he was very emotional today. He was just he was just leaning forward and listening to what they said and just he was grinning almost like a Cheshire cat, as they say. Yeah. And the woman from semaphore who I thought was going to be the most radical. She actually was, you know, fairly, she was just treating him decently. You know, he shows up to do this event. You know, you have a little bit of attack. You don't go off off the rails, but it was funny when she said JD Vance made these made these comments about women who don't have children. I don't have any children. He's also made comments about people who are divorced like yourself and the crowd kind of went, Oh, like she was calling and I don't think that's how she meant it. But Trump started laughing and said, Hey, at least she asked it very nicely. Or he says, he has a really good sense of humor and he drives people crazy, but I how yeah, I read this tweet to you. I don't have it in front of me because I wanted you to explain it a little bit. Somebody tweeted out that something about how this stuff doesn't lower Trump's the floor, but it builds up his ceiling, explain to people what that means. Well, it means that nobody, nobody turns off from him. The people who were offended didn't like him to begin with, but some people that were in the audience or watching it on TV, maybe said, gee, this is, this guy could take a punch. Yeah. He couldn't. Yeah. And he doesn't, he doesn't fall like a morning glory. He's a, you know, it comes back and he, you know, he just gives it to him. And so in other words, it, it lifts him, it gives it, it brings people in, in, but it doesn't, nobody, nobody's saying, well, that's it. I'm not voting for Trump because he didn't have respect for that great journalist in the blue pantsuit. But I also think that what this event did, because at first I was watching it, it was very contentious. I was like, Oh, this might not have been a good move. But I, I do think what it does is it exposes a little bit of how off the narrative is when it comes to Trump and the black community, because you could hear some of the members in there really appreciating what he was saying and encouraging him. Obviously that doesn't mean they speak for every black person, but there is a connection there and there is like an earnest effort on his part to connect to the community and to tell them what he thinks. And I do think that translates. You know, the, the thing about, I mentioned this at the, at the beginning, the speaking in a dialect that's not your own, I mean, that is, that is really patronizing. You know, I mean, that's the whole thing about the Boston accents in movies, you know, why would you try to do that? And when, when you hear it, if you're, if you're from Boston or you're from the black community or any, any community, and you hear people trying to talk the way you talk. I mean, aren't you kind of put off by that? Don't you think that that was a turn off last night in Atlanta for, for all those people who just came to see the rap star? Yeah. And I also think that the way that Trump's appearance at the NABJ was causing all this backlash before he even stepped on the stage. There were a lot of black journalists who felt like this is dangerous. You know, you can't platform him. And I find that to be, to your point, Howie, a little bit of condescension as well, where it's like, well, this whole idea of we can't talk to people, less to other people, form their own opinion about him that you don't agree with is ridiculous. Let the people who are there watching decide. If they think he's a racist, sexist, you know, orange man, terror, then they won't vote for him. But don't they have a right to decide on their own without like George Stephanopoulos and ABC telling them what to think? Yeah. And you know, do you remember when he was used to make speeches and they would just say, we're going to have to cut it out. I can't believe that our network is running. That's a Rachel Maddow thing, you know, you shouldn't even be exposed to this. Yeah. You should be exposed to my lies, not his lies. That's exactly what it is because Rachel Scott, she goes on this long question where she's going to throw in all these things that she thinks about the birther stuff. I mean, that's just the one that just leaped out at me, but they were all more or less full of BS editorializing what she thinks of Donald Trump and framing it or packaging it as some sort of legitimate question. And then when he tries to say, hold on a second, let me give my POV, then it becomes, well, let's hurry up because you know, you know, you're not answering the question. Well, I don't really consider it a question to begin with. It was a rant. Just craziness. Grace's news is brought to you by TuxTrucks GMC, your Fisher plowed distributor in Hudson Mass. But you know, you can have a little bit of chicken parm, but you're going to have to leave me some to the same orders I'm giving to the rest of the crew here. Don't worry. Don't worry. I want to play this one cut. Go ahead and sit down for an interview with NBC, and I just love the question he asks. Take a listen. For more than 20 years, I was a federal judge. Do I look like somebody who would make that basic mistake about the law? I don't think so. Never ask a question. You don't know the answer to Mary. The answer is yes. You do. He was talking about appointing Jack Smith, but I just love how he says, do I look like someone who would make that basic mistake about the law? Anyone who would ask that question, yes, you would make that basic mistake. Yeah. I agree. All right, Howie. It's chicken parm time, so I'm out of here. All right. They'll shut up very fast. I disagree. I don't think they'll shut up. They'll just say, "Oh, you took it out of context." That's not a real statement. That's a cheap fake. Now they're saying, "Well, you can't hold what she said in 2019 against her because she was running for office." Really? Talk about setting up a new standard, 844-542-4242. Do we have Biden now? We don't have Biden yet. Well, we'll get the Biden in just a moment. I want to play the DEI cut before we play Trump being attacked for saying DEI. The state-run media, the lead, the headline is "Trump says Kamala turned black." I think I understand what he meant, that she was not promoting herself as a black woman. But I dare say that probably a fairly significant percentage of the black population thinks the same thing, considering that, remember in 2008, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were both saying that Barack Obama wasn't really black in the old slave tradition, African-American tradition. She's in the same vein, isn't she? 844-542-442. I got the whole story. The New York Post pulled out some facts out of her biography of her in 2019 about how all the stuff Willie Brown gave her. I didn't know that he'd taken her on a trip to Boston. I think it gets her to meet Trump. On a business trip, where he took her on a business trip to Boston, where he was meeting Donald Trump according to the 2021 book "Kamala's Way" in American life. It's very interesting. I get some more stuff out of that book when we get to it. 844-542-442, so this is Trump talking about the inflation. The inflation, the other thing in this Harvard-Harris poll, I knew I said I wasn't going to deal with it very much. Two issues, the two issues that dominate everything, as far as this, and this is a survey of more than 2,100 people, is number one is inflation and number two is illegal immigration. Those are the two. Those are the two biggies. Is that going to help or hurt Kamala, inflation and illegal immigration? Let's play cut 12. The inflation is absolutely destroying our middle class, our working class, virtually every class. Inflation is a disaster in our country. Inflation is a country buster. It breaks every country. We had, in my opinion, the worst inflation we've had. They say it's 58 years, but I think it's much more than that. It's been devastating. And if you just take a look at a lot of things they don't include, like interest rates. Interest rates went from 2.4% to 10% and you can't get the money. People can't buy houses. They no longer have the American dream. Young people, young black people, they don't have the American dream anymore. They can't buy a house. They can't borrow the money because of the cost of the money. They can't buy it because of the cost of housing, because of the cost of building, because of inflation. Inflation is a disaster and it's destroying our country and it's destroying the black community. Probably as much of a war. So what do you do? What's your plan? You know what we have to do? We have to bring down the cost of energy and that's going to bring down the cost of inflation. This was all started with a bad energy policy. And you also have to stop these phony baloney boondoggles that are just providing money to Democrat bundlers who are buying these silly wind turbine and other lithium batteries that catch fire and destroy everything. They're buying them from China and they're printing money to buy all this stuff and they're using their Democrat bundlers as the middlemen. And it's crushing the currency.
