Simone Biles Wins her Sixth Gold Medal
The Fox Sports Update USA's Simone Biles won the women's all-around gymnastics title on Thursday, scoring a 59.131, the 27-year-old Biles became the oldest Olympics women's gymnastics champion since 1952, and made America the first country to win gold in the women's all-around event six consecutive times. In doing so, Biles also became the first US gymnast to claim six gold medals. "My dad works in B2B marketing. Offensive tackle Tristan Worfs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers agreed to a five-year $140.6 million extension ESPN reported. The deal makes Worfs the highest paid offensive tackle in the NFL with a roughly $28.1 million average annual salary. Worfs was entering the final season of his rookie contract and is now under contract through the 20-29 season. A three-time pro bowler and a one-time all-pro, Tampa Bay traded up to select Worfs with a #13 pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Iowa. Worfs continues the theme of the Buccaneers keeping their own as they re-sign quarterback Baker Mayfield on a three-year deal and star-wide receiver Mike Evans on a two-year deal earlier this offseason. 14-year player Gordon Hayward announced that he's retiring from the NBA on Thursday. As part of a statement, Hayward said quote, "It's been an incredible ride, and I'm so grateful to everyone who helped me achieve more than I ever imagined." Hayward spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career with the Utah Jazz, with whom he was an all-star in the 2016-17 season. He spent the ensuing three seasons with the Boston Celtics followed by a three-plus year stint with the Charlotte Hornets and finished last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
