You know he is the number one contender to the world heavyweight Championship this weekend at summer slam We got Gunther. How you doing man? I'm very good. Thank you. I'm doing good. You won the king of the ring to get here I'm so glad that came back It's something that I loved when I was younger Was that a goal that you had like when you were younger and we're a wrestling fan or was that something that? Maybe over the years seemed like it wasn't as much of a possibility as it is it wasn't as prevalent. Yeah I Was it lifetime goals when I was a kid or something but I always loved tournaments in professional wrestling and That one has a very long history Up and down I would say But yeah, I think in the fashion I got brought back It meant a lot and Yeah, I think very Honored to be the first winner in the new version of the king of the ring At one point when your name changed there was a lot of discourse around that. There's not any more Is that like a sense of validation for you where you're like nobody even talks about that anymore. Yeah, I mean It always happens So it's just a matter of wait it out. I think I mean if you become successful with it I think more more people know me as Gunther now than yeah as Walter before so I think it's fine So I mean you've accomplished a lot in WWE longest reigning UK champion intercontinental champion You're about to become world champion and in my prediction here as things stands right stand right now What are you most proud of in your wrestling career? um I think doing all of that the way I wanted to like I never wanted to go into any developmental system with the idea of Change everything. Mm-hmm. I always thought cited pretty odd good idea of yeah what I want to be and who I want to be and just sticking with that and Finding the battles along the way to keep it that way. I think to get through that to here I think that's what that's what makes me most proud You've mentioned in the past like how maybe the style 15 years ago in wb didn't fit you How are you finding it now? But I mean you're getting to go out there and have unbelievable matches ones that people are saying are match of the year on ples and one role on You know on TV or having great matches as well. Yeah, I mean I think always like now a triple H There's more freedom to that. It was not I wouldn't say there's one set wb style through at the roster So yeah, I guess there's just more freedom to it. That's why Yeah, everything fell in place at the right time for me when it came to that and I felt like that's what made me sign me wb in the first place where I was I was at the feeling with triple H that he's open to everything. Yeah And yeah, we'll give people more freedom to do stuff So that always intrigued me and yeah, it shows now as we wrap up you mentioned him being open to things We've seen a lot of wb wrestlers do blood sport. Yeah, is that something you'd ever be interested in? I did it before right and that makes w always had the ambition tournament of course. Oh, no, that's fine So I love that style Personally to watch due to be a vi a lot and battle arts and all that stuff But that's behind me. No, okay. That was that fair.
