"Fox Sports Update" USA swimmer Katie Ledecky won the 800-meter freestyle at the Paris Olympics to claim her ninth career gold medal on Saturday. In doing so, she joined former USA men swimmer Michael Phelps as the only swimmers to win an event in four consecutive Summer Olympic Games. Also, the U.S. mixed medley relay team won the 4x100 event, setting a new world record with a time of 3.37.43. Meanwhile, American sprinter Shaqari Richardson won silver in the woman's 100-meter dash. Richardson lost the gold medal to Julian Alfred of St. Lucia by .15 seconds, while fellow American Melissa Jefferson came in third. Richardson fell just short of becoming the first American woman to win the 100-meters at the Olympics, since Gail Divers did it in Atlanta in 1996. Tyree Kill and the Miami Dolphins reworked the wide receiver's contract, making it a three-year, $90 million deal, which includes 65 million guaranteed ESPN reported. Given that Hill was one season into a four-year, $120 million deal, there's now a combined 106.5 million in guaranteed money on his contract, setting an NFL record for a wide receiver. A five-time all-pro, the 30-year-old Hill is coming off arguably the best season of his NFL career, totaling 119 receptions for a league high 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. On the contractual front, Miami extended quarterback to a tug-of-by-law and wide receiver Jalen Waddle earlier this offseason. Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan announced that wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins won't need surgery for a knee injury that he recently suffered, but the three-time all-pro will miss several weeks, putting his status for week one of the regular season in jeopardy. The 32-year-old Hopkins is entering his second season with the Titans after totaling 75 receptions for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. On the receiver front, Tennessee signed former Jacksonville Jaguars wide-out Calvin Ridley to a four-year deal earlier this offseason. The Titans miss the playoffs last season and are entering their first season with Callahan at the helm. I'm Tony Geny Waldo. Come.
