First I do this week in August 2024. My name is Val. We're here host this morning. Joined this morning by my good friends, James and David. James, how are you getting on today? I am good mate. I'm good, obviously. I'll be able to try and get a card book done to fix the animal teammates. Well, that's it. We'll see how much that's gone here. Scan is mate. It's not up to you, does it? David, great to have you on as well. How are you doing? Not bad at all mate. Not bad. Good to be on as always. How's your guys? I don't know. We are a little over 24 hours now to the Keckle, 24/25. David, you're as excited as I am to see the veils back in action and have some real football, not just three season friendlies. I'm excited as such a strong board. That'll be good to, well, first of all, it'll be good just to be back to normal in terms of having proper football economy and training. But sadly, I am looking forward to it. And I think we are very much in a minority with seeing that. But no, I think we'll, I think we'll, yeah, I'm positive, basically. I made a rash production last night in terms of the school and I decided to specify the school, the food school. That was just, that was just me getting excited. But no, I don't have any, I mean, loads of people I've seen are posting really, really depressive shit. I'm not at that stage. I must admit, I think we'll get on the pitch and do the talking there. And yeah, we'll, we'll be discussing the match with a slight glow, shall we say? I mean, if I could offer you a wee bit of life advice, there's a, it's the Appian America's oldest depression. Or me, I know, I know, I know. As I've said to you before, I know that they're on there. When people post things, it's like what they would see in real life, but crank top tier 11, you know what I mean? However, it can still have an effect on you. 'Cause you're just like good God, man. People actually have this train, I thought. And people live like this. Good Lord, man. Oh, absolutely. So we have got some proper news for you this morning. You see what I did there. We just signed Robin Tropper from FC20. He, what was the core captain over there? He started, you know, central defender. I think we were all anticipating it's coming. So he had 39 appearances in three goals last season. He spoke to me that he'd been saying, "Ranger's just a big club that you've been through this year." I was glad to hear that the club wanted to say me. I always said, "I wanted to have a new adventure in another country." I mean, a club like Green was concerned for you. It feels surreal. First club breeds football and you want to play your football year. I spoke to serial dancers and last last year. And they, they only had nice things to see out of the club. And it's nice to see something of your faces. You hear about Ranger's fans and how it is here. And I'm very happy to be here. So James, I'm really, really pleased to have managed to say in a centre-by. I was on the forecast that we came there just out of it within the opinion of the fact that we could be going in a new season with a centre-by feeling that certain babies. So this is one did really well with me. How are you feeling about it? Have you seen much in the big man and you excited? I'm, I'm, I'm looking forward to the end of the season. You guys, I was a bit kind of, kind of a pre-inserve, let's say. But now I think it's, let's, let's start doing my talking on the park. I don't think the Rangers are as dangerous when folk writers are. So I hope everybody continues to do that. I think we've got some good signings in. I think the boy Conor Barron, I think he's going to surprise a lot, a lot of people this season. Every time I've seen him play for a buddy, I think he is. He loves a article and I think that is what we've been missing. I think he's a younger, fatter, Ryan Jack. And I think he's going to add that, but I still in there. I still think that may be made up of you by experience in there next to him. That would be my next, can I? Hopefully that's going to be the next sign and there's going to be an experience midfielder that's going to come in someday for him to bounce over and lay on fair. I'm talking about obviously a Robin Proper. I think he's a, pardon the pun here, but I think he is a proper defender. I think he's a guy that loves to go and preach, he don't know about. And I think that I was saying that, he was either Monday or Tuesday, that I was on. I was on one of the morning points and I'd said that we need to, ah, away and eat and send her half. We need something that's just going to go and preach his head. When people wouldn't even put their feet, that way he's going to just block things. He's just going to get any things. He's no going to be scared to go and win. Hey, does it come off kicks and stuff like that? Because I think that's what we've been missing for a few years. If we could have got a corner goal soon, six years ago. The way he was six years ago, the way he was commanding at the back. He was going to win things. Can I see him? Can I lose that? Can I, ah, last maybe two seasons for me? But it's good to also have some dinnies coming in. He's the captain at FC20. So he's coming in with that as well. So he's got that experience and hopefully he's going to be that leader that we need at the back. I absolutely, I mean, I spent an hour to watch in different clips. The guy in the stage is still looking at YouTube clips because it all always show clean up in a certain way. But I was noticing, as you said, he's good in the air. He's absolutely not afraid that he's stuck in a bit ahead of. And he seems to be the communicator and the defense at FC20. He's the guy that's organizing, arranging, and talking to the other games. But I was also like, he seems to have a good range of passing. You know, we can have that long diagonal, but the golden was really good at doing. But he's also good at constraining at the defense with the ball. So I think that's a really good mix of quality. He's the one that slightly concerns me as I don't know that he necessarily has the recovery piece, as I would call it, in terms of getting back when the ball goes past him. And David, I'm going to be covering you now because that's something that's really exempt me as the fact that we're really vulnerable with balls over the top. I think we saw that last season, and there's only pre-season friendlies. And if he doesn't necessarily have that recovery piece, he's going to need someone next to him that does. So that sort of leads me to the question of who do we think that his partner, at the same time, will be. I was going on this option that would probably be John's suit. Or what's your thoughts? I would probably say shooter as well. If we look back at the fenders that we've had, some of the best we've had, you know, did like a pace. First it comes to mind, look at David Weir. We think him when he was classed as seeing out his career for six months and then he'd retire, you know, when he ended up, he was far from the fastest in terms of pace. But he was a few steps ahead of the rest because he could, you know, with the game and he had that internal analysis of your like. So what he liked in pacing made up for him, well, everything else really. I think we're proper. I would say he, I mean, I'm buzzing a bit this evening. I'm very, very positive about it. But if he does like pace, next year, I'd be happy with Balagan. Next year, if the pace wasn't an issue. But I think the no brainer, if we don't get another central defender, it wouldn't be, sort of, on Saturday, that's the two I would start with. I've got no issues with proper, you know, starting tomorrow. I know he's only just arrived, but, you know, he's old enough and experienced enough to, you know, handle it. But yeah, I think the most obvious answer would be Sutter. It's, I mean, I'm not going to, I'm not, I'm not even going to God forgive me, but I'm not even going to acknowledge Ben Davies, other than when he leaves. But yeah, proper, sort of, and defines, I think, I think we'll be okay. Yeah, I certainly think that would be, if I was choosing to set the back game, that would be it. It's just for looking at both the terms, especially. So that team has quite fought towards one of the things. So James, I don't know how you feel, but that's, I want to get Clinton and Siava, who has pace might be somebody that's going to be featured in there, because he's obviously come here from AC Milan. And he'll be head off of the menu contract by all accounts. And I think he's come here looking for freshman football. Do you think we'll see much ahead of this season, and more important, I think, you know, do you reckon we'll see him tomorrow? I don't think we'll see him starting tomorrow. I don't know if he'll maybe come off the bench or whatever. Although you're not going to disrupt a dangerous partnership, if you're right on the two, don't we start obviously getting a partnership together, knowing exactly what everybody's going to do. The thing is, at 19 years of age, you'll have that knee fear, which I think may have been Latin. And your team for years, I would rather see, you know, I'll always sort of change it up. You know what I mean, with the wingers over the years that have been scared to go to people, stop and turn back and pass back. I don't want to see that. I want to see something just go at your defender. You might only be with the wands, but that might be the one time you get the ball into the box and you score for it. So that's what I want to see. I want to see people being fearless this season. And I think also bringing these younger boys in, that might obviously help this team. For me, they're going to come in, they've got a point to prove as well. You know, again, I hate to say it, but they'll be using Rangers as a step. It's never going to be a good day in South and it only helps us as well, because if they come in and have a good two or three seasons, you can then start to put them on for, you know, can I make a money? And that's what we need to start doing. So for me, I think it's a good thing. We bring these guys in, let them go in flourish and then we'll just see what happens for them. Yeah, absolutely. So in terms of what we've done in the transfer window, then, you know, we're now at the point where we are kicking up tomorrow, we've brought in Robin through our project, Hans Eigemane, Konofar and Modium Andy Liam, clearly Clinton, and Siala. That's that journey and we've brought Oscar Cortes and those last two of those long signings. David, have we done enough business now? Are we ready for the new season? Are you filled with confidence by the business that we've done? Is there anything that you think we're so screaming out for? Do you think we've done a lot sooner back? I don't think we've done enough business as such. Ideally, we would have had a couple more in before the first game of the season. However, I think we are approaching, you know, more than adequate to be on board by the end of the transfer window, which kind of is an ideal, but at the same time, it's unrealistic to expect a clean in and, you know, a clean out. It's an upheaval that we've got. It's, you know, it's proper surgery that's needed on the squad, rather than just, you know, putting a few there in a few in. So, yeah, I think under the circumstances, I'm satisfied with what we've done, because, to be honest, there was a point when the majority of us thought, you know, we were, we were pumped, basically, you know, we were stuck with who we currently had that we didn't want, and we were pumped for getting anybody in. So, under those circumstances, I'm pleased. But, you know, as I say, the only thing that not ox may because I understand, but the only thing that I'm kind of disappointed with is that there's not more in before the first game. But I think if we have this discussion on the first of September, it'll be, yeah, well, we are a lot more positive. So, yeah, that's my kind of outlook on it, is, yeah, we maybe could have done more, but under the circumstances, we understand. That's really where I'm happy to sit on it right now. If it comes to the end of the transfer, we're wondering what's been nothing done, and we've not punted anyone, then, yeah, it'll be, that'll be a bugbear, but to say the least, but, no, at the moment, I do understand, and I think we're in the right direction. Yeah, I think I would agree. It's difficult because the transfer went to drag zone for another month. Yeah. Using the bins, you know, if we had a transfer window that started the month, it would have perhaps that would make a bit of a real look at it. In terms of the business that we've done and the scores that we're going to have, James, did you think that this has a score that's realistically filled, come on, believes he's going to win the lead with, or do you think he sees this as a transition season to build for season 25, 26 a year away? And if that's the case, how do you think Rangers fans would accept that, or not accept as the case may be? I think if they come out and tell us a truth about what's happening, we'll accept that we're all adults as I've said before, but we just need to, I still think we're still going to be either maybe two or three players, and what I mean by that is experienced players, guys that have always been there and done it, and also been there the course of season and winning things. And I still think, as I said before, we still need us, and I say in our month, they come in and I've been still saving maybe, still need a striker. I would love to see you along Shankland there. I think that might be a deal that'll harm it. The tail end of the transfer window. I think, keep my fingers crossed that we do get that boy in, because I do think he has a goal mission. I don't know, mate. I think Clement would come out and say in the press that he's maybe happy, he's scored, but I don't think managers are ever happy, are they? They always weren't that one player, mate. But for me, I think that to go with this squad to know, I don't know, mate. You know what I mean, but I still see guys that scored right in that, line up, it's still that the boy gives me a fear. I don't know, it's just... The boy's either a nine out of ten or he's a three out of ten. He just doesn't see me in that consistency where he's maybe a seven out of eight. Do you know what I mean? He just doesn't, he's just either outstanding or he's just absolutely... This Back to School season, you can count on Whole Foods Market to do the ingredient homework for you. Dogmeat, a better choice of what I hate saying that about the Angels players. I really, really do. But I just don't think the boys good enough to be at Angels. I think he's been one of these guys. It's maybe one of my Angels competition. Just been a lucky lucky boy to be there. Because he's obviously seen half the last with three managers. It just bamboozles me at things. But I think that going forward, we still need a couple of good additions to come into the squad. I think just on the point of the score, right, like we've now got myself. Jeremy, there is a drop of rape when you think that's really good. I've actually been, as long-term viewers are listening to it, no, I've been affected by the fact that it's not right over the years. I think there's a reason that every manager seems to be one and then in the squad, and what people hope for them. And it really seems to be beautiful instructions, etc. I think we wingers generally have stated that as a role in the team, we're going to get a lot of inconsistency. I think most wingers are inconsistent. Personally, I have company view in the last season, but it's probably not good enough to be. I think it's certainly not good enough to be, and I'll start me a lot in a few weeks. I think it's maybe somebody that's a useful option to have off the bench, and we know there's that question that the home zone core, etc. Over the night, we'll see Scott rape process that ranges through at least another season. And on Shank, when I don't think it was wise, did it's like an activity, because that's a very debase for a month or eight of support. But like you, I feel that you possibly will still be coming in a real harm during August. I was talking just a few days ago with us and how we made this thing and made it. And I started to think, and I said, "There's no way the hearts are going to be around a great instant on the field of August." So, if it was coming, it would probably be after this initial game. So we'll look at the kind of transfers. And I think we're possibly able to see when there's a few needed. On to other news, the ongoing saga was elite. I think the band owns Hummel sportswear. They are seeking 9.5 million pounds of damages in her court permission to basically take her into court. David, how considering is that? I mean, I get all this stuff. Whether it was my cash flow. I hate all that sort of artist action, but particularly considering for me is that it actually can 9.5 million damages. Do you think that the club has got a sort of a contingency plan here in terms of everything to be that's not out? And what is that going to make it a real impact? On the pitch, stuff is that really negative rate by transfer spending, are we in real danger here financially? Or do you think it's all going to be okay? I think 9.5 million will be earmarked and ring fenced. Obviously that's the amount there, so they need to plan for the worst. I don't think if the verdict goes against this. I don't think will be required to pay 9.5 million. But obviously it's common things that your ring fencer or escrow it, or put it in a custodian account or something because that's worst case scenario. I don't think the verdict 9.5 million has become, I mean, well, it's already became rather tiresome consistently being too tickle. Maybe as a positive I could say all the court cases are stemming from historic legacy issues, but it's still for one of a bit of reasons already, it's a total ready. I want defensive record and court is almost a mirror image of the teams in three season. It's not great, shall we say. You'd think that maybe after so many court cases where they get the knack of winning one or two, but maybe the swings are a chance to shine. I don't think it's solid. As I say, it may very well go against this, but I don't think it'll be a bit of a tune ending in a half million. I think that is a very, very worst case scenario, but it's also most at least possible scenario. So yeah, I'm not totally depressed about it, but I would hope that after this, we've seen a fair share of court dates and they're very much a thing in the past, but yeah, we can only see how it inspires. It's not something you can really predict. From my supporters mindset, I'm thinking, yeah, 9.5 million friends that could have been in the team, but from a common sense mindset and being open-minded, it's completely expected that we do have to have the money I say does, as you call it, a contingency plan, and it would be financial suicide not to. So I can see all arguments against and for the whole thing, but yeah, it's just total business sense that we do have the money I say. All of which just here, I don't think it will be paying out if we're asked to pay out anything. I think I would agree that even if we do sort of lose the case and have the deal that would be what they're seeking, that's not what happens when they're finished with them, you use the freeze ready, that is an absolute ready. It's not really a ready that's doing overcurrent boards, so we can't be too harsh on them, but by the same token, you can imagine that that the common sense that they have for instance, the money is my father frequently told in the notice of what they're all common ever since. I let all faith in this common range of boards, given that I brought to the back, and the fact that we're going to be playing at all games a hundred less season, and I've let faith in any common sense that pains me. So I'm at this celery that gets to end, but the fact that there's less outstanding and do we actually have the contingency, because I know I'm not obsessive or expert enough to know enough of it called finances to see the common money. Yeah, I think if we want to know a bit range of finances when the AI is a supporter of friends across the city. Yeah, that was going to be one of my points is that yes, it's just more fuel for the AI. It's already said though, you know, but at the best when we're written off. So just accept all the shooting, the claims, and you know, just quietly go a bit of business. I bet they claim that they're not interested in us, but as you said, David, they don't ever know the insights which can own inside your club. And that's great. I mean, there's an aftershave it goes a bit me cold up station, and I know it's your club, but we're sure. So moving on, Jett, we're obviously, as I mentioned, we're just a little over 24 hours away from tech off the model. James is absolutely crucial. It's completely non-negotiable. It's imperative that we are going to disaster the new beginning of the season, like what happened last season. Looking to the game, the last 10 that we've played against Hartz, we've won eight of them, get sex queen sheets, we've scored 20 sex goals for Hartz's seven. So that I think goes well. Do you have confidence that we'll get the went to model, and do you think proper Jeff Jay, Chair Maybell all starts, do you think there'll be any surprises in the starting 11 and how these events go? I'm confident that we'll get the digital tomorrow. It just seems to be, we seem to thrive, going to a time capsule. I think it's one of their parts, outside eye books. It's probably one of my favourite grounds, I think, because it's tight, do you know what I mean? The fans are waiting to open. It's one of their games, and we're hoping that these players will step up for us, but I'm more confident that we'll go there and we'll get a good victory. It's something that I think everybody's got to have to do. They've got to have this mindset of what we get to every game, and as I said before, I mean, these younger ones come in, and I think it is a good thinker of these guys in there, obviously, a corner barons and stuff, because they've been to these grounds. Corners have also been there, but he's played a kind of way. It was a 50-odd game plus for Aberdeen, so he's been over the course in Scotland, so I think it is a good thinker of these guys, and I'm, like I said, make confident, and I do think we'll get out of here. We have a 2 or 3-0 victory tomorrow. Ravi and I, I'm certainly liking that you're optimistic. I'm typically optimistic, even when things seem stacked up against us. I'm always protected. I like going to a rangers, so I'll probably be able to do that. Ten Castle has been happy. I'm going to do this, of the way I think. I enjoy watching rangers with Ten Castle, and for me, it's going to be interesting to see if Franklin plays for our sport, his body language is like it's there for the world. That gives us a clue, because I think, as I say, it's divisive among rangers fans, but there's a lot of people really obsessed with any Franklin then, so I have the interest to see what the rumors are like, so that tomorrow will happen. Then, after the game concerning Franklin, David, you got our predicted 11 that you're thinking any sizes, maybe, and the line-up that we might see. I think we'll see cheer on it and proper start, which I'd have zero issues with, both experience, both long enough in the first two. Just get the head down and do it, or at least try and do it. Left back, I'm not sure if we'll see you after eight, or red van, I'm not 100%. I would be fine with either, but I'm leaning towards red van just because, you know, he's got that, those games under his belt. Pre-season wouldn't give as much of a hint, because I think most games would get in a half each, so it remains to be seen who the manager goes with, but if he's got a defensive head on, I think he'll start with advance his left day as he's good going forward, but the defensive side is perhaps easier exposed. Yeah, I'm actually going into this confident, as I've said. I'm not expecting a, you know, a medical performance where we're going to totally annihilate them, but I think we'll get this three points. I think we'll go a bit of business, you know, as I said, with the heads down. I know that recently the supporters have been a bit despondent. I don't think that's, I don't think the same can be said about the team they do, seem, apart if they can, well, but I mean, I mean, he's always, you know, go a bit different, but the rest of the squad seem, I think there's, you know, a good bit of unity there. I think they've gelled well. I think the new guys have come in and they've got the added bonus of knowing some players. I think we're surprised, even the most doing mongering supporter. As I say, it's not like, you know, I don't, I'm not saying I'm going to run them off. It's going to be five-six now, but we'll leave with a three-point, a decent performance, I think. Hi. So I'm going to push you guys then, because of production. David, you mentioned that the start this morning, but you've already made a production. I did, yes. With all of my advice there for you, so I would be getting it out of the rookies and get fired on that because you regret it if it wasn't going to happen. But what was your production? Yeah, if I was, I'll repeat what I said on the live show last night. I'm going to go with three two arranges. I think hearts will go ahead and we'll pull it back. Skorrows will be desils, day on and day, and I build it ahead or famous stuff proper, and I think she only will get two assists. I think if you get to the live bricks because they're available and you get a ten middle knot and you could be taken as always for a nice guaranteed deal. Yeah, so I was going to say that, yes, possibly stage it in like the Bahamas or something. In the next half of it, I'm going to get a chap at the door and Carty that we ate and I've had each sale. But I'm good to be either, as long as I'm going to do it. I think both have covered it, that's quite seem equally likely, don't they? So do you have committed yourself to three two genes? I've had, yes. I'm going to go with three new arranges like this as we'll get it first go. I'm not a huge fan of the big man, but I've been told that my mate's taking him another season. Maybe last year was just he's settling in period and she needs to go the other night there and that's a thing. This is going to turn something like that, you know what I mean? Let the go against their bet as well. So I'll give him another season and hopefully, and I hope he does make me eat my words. I'll be quite happy if he does that, he'll be overjoyed. But I'll go, I'm going to go for theirs in three now. Yeah folks, you have to be a first three now and the Nigerian nightmare to open the scoring. I think we're going to complete a three-hour for these then. I'm going to stay three one-two rangers. I think that even with proper commitment, you know it's been a short, very short settling in period for him before we're tick off and I just don't see as being defensively as soon yet as perhaps we'd all like. So I think we'll wrap up there though guys. Thank you both very much for coming on. Thanks viewers. Just a wee quick call to action to everybody who's tuning in today.
