[MUSIC] [MUSIC] [MUSIC] Hello, folks, and welcome back to The Galen Fue Sunday Night Live. My name's Karl Madoff, and I'll be your host this evening. Rangels are now finished, peace isn't friendly, so the boys are finished up all the holidays. We'll be back live every Sunday and Thursday. None of that's why I came to The Galen Fue anymore. So back where I'm buying for a stairwell line up tonight, first of all, retirement hero, Paul. Twice in the one weekend after no senior five weeks, mate, it's a pleasure. Ah, absolutely, and it's good to be back on, a bit more regularly, and sometimes getting the summer rush with the way it worked and getting all the disorders and things. It's a bit of pain, but, ah, it's great, and tonight viewers, I am doing my first, and potentially, hopefully, only broadcast from inside the car, so very hard, very exclusive right here. It's not here first. There we go, who says we don't bring alternative calling content in The Galen Fue? No, absolutely, you don't get that, no, no, I'm not supposed to do a carport, but anyway, they haven't, they haven't tamed. It is a night of us, David, welcome, this is your first live show, how are you feeling? Ah, not bad, sir, not bad at all. Ready to chat the usual Reverend Nonsense, but no, apart from that, doing rather Welsh. Happy days, I know you've just seen Rachel score four goals. Exactly, I know. Or we can see the part. Did I make that a little special, to be honest? I'm rounding off, I had to cut first, and we have a Galen Fue debut on this, that one, how are you my friend? I am good mate, I'm good. Are we a bit happier after seeing Rachel score some goals? I was getting a bit worried, thinking, right, I'm not seeing any combinations here, and we're conceding, like, the goals are going to be fashion. And just seeing our score goals gave me a bit of reassurance, but I was quickly broke back down the air after, conceding for it as well, and equally as bad as fashion. Rangers have a very bad habit of keeping your ground in there these last couple years, but good to have your own mate. Tell the rest not to be bad, but yourself in terms of following Rangers then. So I followed Rangers basically since birth. Like most years, you know, you're born in it really for your father, or for an uncle, or through whatever. So I've followed Rangers since birth since birth. I'm only 21, so I don't really know the glory years as well as others. So when I was younger, I would be more play football than watch it. I started watching football like properly when I was about 11. So again, Rangers were in the, you know, had already been relegated to the third tier by that point. So all I've really known is the bad days really. And so, you know, days like losing against bringing them, et cetera, and I'm kind of used to that. You know what I mean? Like it doesn't hurt me as much. Of course it hurts me, but like it doesn't hurt me as deep as others who have seen what Rangers once were. You know what I mean? And I hope Rangers can get back to there though. Through hopefully good recruitment, but we'll see. I know and hopefully that this return comes sooner rather than later. Before the end, yesterday, to start, as always, hello to all the Westerners watching live on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. If you can find that like, just subscribe. Yeah, your comments and we'll chat for them as well. And of course, hello to everybody who's watching the Western after the fact as well. And if you do want to share content as always on the YouTube members page or the Patreon tournament, you can go to socials a week. But if you know, if you're taking my chat after one hour, just the week will do fine. Bill, let's get in there yesterday then. That was mentioned in the bottom game. If I was, oh, that was so deaf. This was yesterday, through each and by half time. I don't think we can say too much about the starting line up because we don't have many two new faces in. So it was always going to be the same old one. Yeah. Nice to see you coming up on the team. I think it was recent and thank you for this part. Just so many concerns, you know, what we're doing. I don't know what we're doing. So many concerns about back four and spectacularly. Not so back four. I would have been horrified like that last season, you know, and just to think about, you know, going forward this season, potentially the sort of devises we're putting in, like, because we don't know what's going to happen. I think it's a great one for saying as long-term customers will be aware, I'm always saying that pre-season friends don't really tell us anything because it's basically a heck of a book. But I do have big concerns about our defence based on that. David, we're welcome. And, you know, let's start for the back and work our way forward. I've seen, again, the same old same old where we're getting caught with the ball across the ball across a piece ago. How many long boys did they attempt and just sort of refused to do with them? David, as one in me, I get with those same needs. But even in the catch-up, she won't have to say that. It was clearly obvious, even before the end of the season, that the long ball thing wasn't working. The fact that we're still doing it is either the manager saying that he doesn't have faith in who's available to him, either, you know, trying to roll out how he actually wants them to play, or he's, I mean, as he gives instructions, but the players are just, I'm just going to launch it up the pitch, or is it happy? Is that how things are going to be going forward, regardless of who he's got available to him? As Bill's already said, three seasons does not much to go on. You can't make big predictions. You can either get your hopes sky high, you know, like, about a depression, but good Lordman, or certainly, you know, testing that theory with the support. Before goals, yeah, a rather welcome change from previous. You know, that was reassuring. It was, you know, it reminds us that, you know, we've got players that know where the net is. But at the back, it's just that, I mean, I don't think I'm being too dramatic if I say it's symbolic, you know what I mean? The back's really bad, and we don't just need, I know that we're trying out for experience, but it's not just one person at the back, we need, you know what I mean? It's, we need a complete revamp in the left and right centre backs. Nobody we've got at the moment is, I don't think able to step up and, you know, be that we don't in difference. And, yeah, you know, the goals and I think he's away. I'm sure he has away. You know, sort of a good league player, but I don't think he'll go to that next level. Davey's is just Davey's, I don't know, can our runs, but it's like, as if he's been fitted, we are set at Calipals. And, yeah, it's just, there's nothing really positive about the defence. Left and right back, I don't really include that. That his tavern yields away, I imagine, will bring some day in a field at the young Brazilian yesterday. He, you know, he needs a bit of time. Red Van, if he can stay fit, he shall be, I think he'll, you know, prove himself if he can get there on in stay fit. But, yeah, that's really it. The four goals, more than welcome, more than overdue. The defence, yeah, step up a bit in terms of recruitment and players at the door. Dylan, James Tavern here is always a contentious storm point. Not just in this point, Henry just in general, and the rest of us are already in the door about him, his performance. The manager did say, "Do you want to stay on picked up at all?" That's why he didn't feature. So, do you think that Sterling would have been playing there? I think, you know, it would be far too much charboo. It should have been a transfer window. What has happened there? When all the rangers looked back in the arse, everything. But, I think, my question to you is, as do you on sale, and does he notably improve that defence yesterday? I think he's so much better defending, you know, if I was a winger, I would rather play James Tavern here every time. Because do you on Sterling's got that pace, that physical strength, and he can read the game very well. I don't think that's something Tavern here does well. Always look at many. He doesn't really look it. Read it that way. It kind of stands there, jockeys a wee bit. But, he doesn't need to use much as Sterling. Sterling's aggressive. You know what I mean? Sterling's going to, like, in the winner's face. Like, go and take me on then. Take me on. You know what I mean? Like, if, and if you try it, I'm taking a ball off your deep thing. But James Tavern here is going to look, "Oh, I might go and take it. I might know." And that kind of does he in a boot? Try to get the boys. You know what I mean? He's already chasing. He's running into the violin. He's already got the ball. Like you said earlier, across the face they're going. How many times have you seen that go when playing that low? You know what I mean? James Tavern here are born about as such or whoever. Getting done. Doing the outside and then just a ball across the face. Sent a half on the track in the runners. And, you know what I mean? But, on your point, yeah. Dojo and Sterling every day of the week. You know, I'd be looking at him as a replacement for Tavern. I know some people have talked about him going into midfield. But, I don't think he's needed in there. I think he looked good because Ermidfield last season was now that great. And lacked real pace where I think this season, that's going to change a lot. Especially with the decisions they've had in Diamandé who stood up this pre-season. Ermidfield this pre-season has probably been the best thing about it. Erm, but yeah, that's my opinion on Tav. Bill, you had anything else to add? Erm, there's almost all my times we can say we need new players. You know what I mean? It's hard to, it's really hard not to over analyze this. Is that's about the same stuff over and over again on top? Yeah. Erm, I would say, again, long-term lessons and fears will know that I have consistently defended Diamandé and his place looking interesting. And that, you know, I, erm, like I sparked with, erm, I'm in from the corner. It's in a area I sparked around a lot. On Iran, on other places, er, talking a lot about Diamandé. Diam is telling me, because he was never in, he's telling me a fine club and I always was, but I do think it's time, like, you know, erm, Sterling is a much better option. I agree with what Dylan said as well. Like, I think, sort of, towards the end of last season, Sterling was an absolute revelation in the field for us. What I do think is even better right back. Thanks, Karia, it's a very, very good video. Erm, and so, you know, like, Sterling's starting to write back next season, I think, we've filmed a lot of confidence. Again, I think Tavernier could do something for us. We've talked a lot, and not just on here, but sort of other range of shows and, er, online and all that as well. People have talked about putting Tavernier forward, putting Tavernier up one, playing them on the right, and not giving them that defensive responsibility, but giving them the responsibility. And going forward to create a stuff for us, because he has good at that, as I could say, in this game. I don't know that he's lost the younger piece, you know. That's, that's pretty cool. I don't think there's anything going on in that. I know that that's okay, so I think it really is time to consider that right back possession in the round. Erm, I don't think, much as, even through the last season, I say, the more you know, talented within the right back possession, I think that going forward for the season coming, I just, I don't think we can justify it. To have, can and y'all start in late time. Erm, so it concerns me, and I am worried that he is going to be able to note against halves. I mean, that's really, really concerned about. I don't know what the other guys think about that, but that's so far from, you know, from three seasons, that's the main thing that I'm thinking about really is what's going to happen with half. Erm, yeah, I think we can go over the, we can clip every show we've done, where we spoke about half, and yeah, I think it's going to be a politician. As I said here, you either go to the Fox Save tab, the gate, or the, or Hall of Fame, I regard us what he does. Like he could shake his hand and clap and we would start off with them. Erm, that's a two extremes here, but it's somewhere in the middle. And you know, if you're not, if you, if you just deny that, James, I'm the director, contributor to this world next season, where you can. I think it's also naive to say that he's good enough to be starting right back as somewhere in the middle. But I think where the way it uses is all in, and just where to rebuild the same team from the middle, and, you know, colleagues, erm, also, you know, we mentioned for my helicopter in the comments as well. We've got a less complimentary there in the middle, but, you know, we, we spoke with us on time and time again. Erm, I think earlier on the other, you know, that probably is time for him to go. Erm, David, let's maybe work a wee bit more positive. And that one that mentioned it, by the way, the park has worked decent. Erm, I want to get your, I want to get your photos in tall mountains. Erm, because I know about it in your mandate. We are working to build something in the future. I think it's maybe much to put all your midfield hopes into the young boys. Erm, I think we do need reinforcements. I don't know if tall mountains erm, I don't, I don't know how I feel to him. I do like him as an option. I don't know if he has a legs in him, maybe a regular option, erm, but any pops up way, like some lovely moments yesterday. What's your thoughts in him and the role is right away? Erm, I was on record on the podcast this saying, I think it was maybe last week, I said I wouldn't be, you know, I wouldn't be gutted if I left, but also if he stays, I think he could play a part. By that, obviously, I mean, you know, from the bench, maybe an advertisement position. I didn't obviously, I don't mean first name on the sheet, or, you know, expected to run a box-to-box and, er, you know, like, er, dominate play. Erm, however, I think the issue is that the money that he's reported later on, if accurate, doesn't reflect rotation or bench player, you know what I mean? It reflects first-team, important player, which he's not. Erm, I don't invent, I mean, I don't mean not anything negative, obviously, he's got glaringly obvious negatives, but I don't invent bad to say. I don't want him chased or anything, but if he goes, I mean, where we really notice, erm, however, just any defense, I do think from the bench, or as I say, maybe certain games, or maybe just the league, whatever, erm, I do think he could have a contribution apart to play, but certainly not, erm, that part or what he's limited to. Erm, I really don't think it's, er, value for money in terms of, er, the reported 25 grand a month. Erm, if that's accurate, 25 grand a week, sorry. It's a 25 grand a month, that's well with the business rangers, should be doing that. That's actually a good stream. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Erm, no, no, if it's 25 grand a week, or even 20, I mean, that's money that could go to either a loan signing for a season, or a young guy who has, you know, the issues ahead of them, rather than, you know, erm, you know, the game with injuries, et cetera. Erm, or it could go to somebody really experienced on a loan, and it fits like, you know, 50% of the other wage we're paying. There's options, erm, the audience is for the time being as one of them, er, but yeah, we don't need to stay apart if he is erm, if he is er, to remain at the club. He's not somebody that will be relying on. Dylan, erm, I can't add, you know, fair points for Aaron and Aldo here, so Aaron's saying that he's a 60 minute player, which hasn't been good enough. And then, you know, I do think we've had too many players who have limited availability. Uh, Felipe Orlando, er, came out of a roof for you, it's, er, I don't know, I'm say if we want to go down the road. But we keep on getting these players and saying, "If the fat will do as a job," but, you know, Aldo's saying that erm, he's a good player that can, won't fit advantage, but we do need to talk a little bit about them. If I look at the grand scheme, I think it's a work, getting really told, yeah, I'm well with fine way moved on some mammals, which is probably, like, when they think something else you talk about now, erm, that, yeah, and it's hard to get those new workers if he's probably going to be anywhere near the Angels, so we do need a number 10 or two. Is, is Tom Oren's worth keeping because we know he's a good option and we time, yeah, our team, our first choice, number 10 in, erm, all doing it, got a losses. Er, I think we move on, you know, the legs, they can't, well, had you. We get them going and then we bring in someone to play that. I don't think Tom Oren's is good, not personal. Erm, I've seen enough for a mum and I know he hasn't had that great, you know, these two goals on Saturday, aren't they going to sugarcoat anything for me personally? Because I can see behind eyes, you know, when he has fit, he's, can he just likes walking, you know? Like, a lot of times you do see him walking, no interest, he's almost just walking a bit. As if it's just walking fit well, you know, maybe I bust a gut and then fill some day. That's not what I want from Abbotaine, I'm sorry, but I want someone who's all energy, who's, well, he get, get involved in the play deep and when he's up at that box, because that's something Camp Mill offered, you know, Camp Mill is, for all his flaws and for all his stupid posts on social media, it was really good at getting that ball into the box, getting into the players, working the little combos around the box. I looked at Lawrence and he lacked that pace. I've seen a few through balls where, if it had sounded about a wee bit of pace, and got on the end yet, it could have been a good, a good move, but he just lacks that pace. And that's something, I think, with his lap through the team, is real pace, outside him a condo in Cortes. You know, that's why the likes of something like SEMA could be a good move as well, but specifically on the number 10 role, I know we've been linked with Hannibal. I think he would be a great move, and I think he's someone that would bring a lot to the table and should potentially replace a Lawrence. I've got no issues really with Lawrence being a squad player, but if you were to tell me brutally honest, if we got a, you know, park kid on the second to September, we had a camp, I wouldn't watch it, because I know he'll get overrun. Like, I've seen it a couple, like three or four times already this season, or but I think it's two or three maybe, but anyhow, I've seen him get run over and he'll get run over again. So yeah, that's my opinion on Lawrence, I don't think he's good enough. And I think he's two goals on Saturday, just sugar-coated. What has been a really pure ranger's career for him? Just before we keep going with Lawrence, that massive shout-out to the Carlos, who's been a member for a wee while, on the pound of Ontario, and he's just gifted a five-three membership. So that means five random mustnosts on YouTube. We'll get a first-month three on the Carlos. So that's really kind of the image, thank you for him to thank you. I will listen to Patre and I will listen to Patre and I will listen to him here. He got seven day free title and Patre and as well, just saying about Carlos, that's a massive, massive cane gesture. Thank you very much, mate. Well, I'm up and doing like a fiddle. He'll throw a bit on Lawrence. I'm kind of, I'm easily swayed with that because I'm in the middle way as he did enough. From playing devil's advocate, we, yes, I agree. We need some more physicality. We need to pay, so we need to be a fair team. I'm more of a fair team, but we do need talent and creativity. And, you know, I think, I call you the lessons I put into that. And number 10, does not always need to cover the way the grass. If he's good enough, we do need, you know, we can use that. And that is, that's been an issue for a Rangers as well. The Ranger passing. No many players do have what Tom Boran says. Where do you sit in the, in the, in the tier with the bait? I actually think I wouldn't hit the nail on the head pretty much. Like, Lawrence for me is a decent creative player. He can play that pass sometimes to the unlucky defense, but we, I think, need something that's a bit more high energy. So there's, there's a third dimension to it. There's this pace of his energy as well as his overall fitness and stamina. You know, when I don't think he's getting off of either. And I do appreciate that arguing about you always necessarily needs your pace from a number 10. But he also doesn't need to stamina play. I feel much a lot of this time. I just think that, like, for me, Cantwell has, or Lawrence doesn't have, as well as having what Lawrence does have, you know, like, I think Cantwell, over the two. We've been a bit of an option. Cantwell's on his way over me, which is fine. But, you know, I think Cantwell did have that energy and that dynamism that we've had out of the up and go, but as I said, Dylan had the nail on the head, right? You see, if you look at us and games against Celtic, and that's where the big challenge is. Obviously it's been for us, right? We are continually, whether it's under Cremon, or whether it's under T.O. through his sleep, and whether it was under T.O. We are over running the fields against them. They are everything but all over running the fields. And players with Lawrence just aren't up to that. I think the strength and the physicality in those games is actually really, really important. The creative side of the game can be important in those games, but we also need those creative players to give a bit. Cantwell could do it sometimes. I think we need better overall in that kind of area. I don't know what the solution is. Lawrence, if we've gotten there as an option off the bench or something like that phone, but as David said, I think it was probably on decent wages. He was aware that's better than going to be on decent wages, but it probably can end too young to push for some wages or whatever. So I don't know. I would suspect that we will see Lawrence in a range of tears in that season. I would expect that we will contribute, but I think there are quite a bit of job in Lawrence in that role. It's just better not to naturally make a move. I mean, I will say we are talking tonight and we will talk on some of the goals. It's been recently about players moving on, players can then move on. We do have to remember that at the end of last season we talked about a complete rebuild. And we have to take the immigrant achieve that and once so much and we're trying to go and go. We are going to have to play actually a next season, but we would rather have to move on. We'd rather have better players than probably have. What is some point in over and over and after it's here, we've done as much business as we're going to do and we're going to loop to when that time is going to end in the next summer and really, but it says next summer's transfer. I wonder where I think the comments will be complete. The only thing being, you know, the seniors, it is a record call, end of the summer. But it's just hope that they're the right guys and it doesn't need to go to the place in them. So at the very least, we don't get to the end of the next season. We're going to rebuild again. We can't afford for that to keep happening. So I know I've gone well off topic in terms of tone bottoms there. I just wanted to get that in. Whether it's an audience or a team, or if it isn't a discussion, we can't get rid of everybody. It's just not quite the feasible way to get it called to take all these players. But it's an easy point to make. So I'm going to make it every week. It's one thing, one ready for players. It's another thing. He gets somebody to take them. And wait, we've seen that. I mean, Scott Wright was, he had this talking teeth in his new hair. And everything last summer, he stalled in a sign for a new club. He was like, "Oh, but, all but parking up is, you know, some building." He stalled in a hand. If the players don't want to go, they don't want to go. The club doesn't want to take them, they don't want to take them. So it's more difficult, but that's all rebuild thing. It's been heavily summer since Jared was left. We've needed a field rebuild. And we need to pay the price for that. That's it. It's all wrong doing. I'm afraid. Let's find another bombshell. Enter the chart, David. You know, when we talk about polarizing figures, I don't think you get much, much more extreme than Adrian Neidmer, Sirio Dessels. He's popping up with a bit of a Ronaldinho tape finished yesterday at times. If you look at the highlights, I should be going for it. You know, if you watch our full game, it looks like a water day, one of the things. For me, we need to be better than him to be the main striker, David. I'll be honest. He's probably one that can't contribute from the bench. Again, it's a very expensive bench. Well, I am. Dispat to school season. You can count on Whole Foods Market to do the ingredient homework for you. They ban over 300 food ingredients, like high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, and more. That's comforting when getting ready for back to school. From snacks to the condiments, their standards are truly best in class. I'm interested to see how that class, Czerni, comes in at the place. So, as I was going to call it, it's my way of maybe mentoring. I don't know if it's an option. Czerni is another way in where my course wouldn't and right is options. So, I wonder where better delivery where we see something different for Czerni Odeso. Because I think part of this game was he's a neighbor's kinder. He'd be made to do the dirty work and he felt like he's not the strongest. He's not the quickest either. So, I do wonder, will we see a more prolific Czerni Odeso? But at the same time, asking him to finish last year so I don't know where he is. I think with Odeso, it's not that he didn't get a lot of service. It's just that the service they did get a really innovative, a lot of them in terms of ratio. His indices and stats were fantastic. But during the game, it's usually his fifth six attempts he's scoring with. And then after that, it's maybe he's nine six times if he gets a second. I realise that happens to all three because I'm very reluctant to join the bandwagon of, you know, he's a dud. He's the worst way I've ever had getting out the door. He's, you know, sinned iron, you know, get the pitchfork. So, you know, I mean, wherever it ends, I don't know if it does. At the same time, I don't think you can read the line. Certainly not as a first choice. But yeah, I mean, I think with two new wiggles. You know, maybe they'll play his strengths. Maybe he'll, you know, adapt a bit. But I don't know. He's worth 29 and I would say he's as good as he's ever going to get. However, it remains to be seen. But I think if a decent offer comes in, I don't think it will be discussed in this time, you know, at the end of the window. I don't think it'll be a topic. In terms of a general transfers, Che Ernie, yeah, excited about that. That's a player. That's a player where I record it. No dick in arguirus. That's a big sign in and it's a sign in that will surely, surely, you know, pay dividends coming into the season or Europe, whatever. What I would say is, well, I would like to think that the standards of player Che Ernie is, I'd like to think that he's saying for us because he's had reassurances. That it will not be the last in the door. Because, I mean, as a lone player, I don't blame him for having his own reputation. I think about it as well. I'm different if he'd say I'm permanent, then, you know, he's obviously committed and that's fine. But it does have, have to have one eye on the future as our own player. So I would like to think that we've said, yeah, this is the plan. This is, if he's not maybe not mentioning names, but this is the plan. This is how we'll play, you know, this, that. And, that's kind of, you know, it's gave him the green light to sign on the dotted line. But yeah, I think, I think we just need to keep going. And it's bills already, they said. And I think we've discussed previously, it's the rebuild that's going to happen. And this window, it's going to, it's a series of windows. And this is the first, the first cog in that wheel. I'm not disappointed or alarmed at the fact that we're not, you know, suddenly we're looking at world beaters and, you know, part of our oil machine and, you know, scoring world, world class goals and public teams five now. That's of no concern to me. But at the same time, I mean, I think myself and, you know, every supporter out there is entitled to be alarmed and concerned that the fact that we might not be that, you know, finished unit. At the same time, we're entitled to expect that would be in our better position than we were this time last season. And are we really, you know, yeah, I'll throw that out there for the rest of the day, because I know with my opinion. I'll be honest, and I don't know if someone should drive me up, so I'm desperate for some hope. But I think I think I'm quite optimistic about attacking options. I think as if we break in the three areas, the sentiment field and attackers, the attackers are the least serious problems. And I really like to look at the new world. The journey is still out and I'm about to look at him before he's injury. We've got him as an option. I think I've just put up all in the YouTube, for the YouTube listeners there, and over 50% of the voters think CDOs would get 20+ goals. So I think he's a good option. I think he only improves us instantly so this court is, and we've worked out this in backup options. So if the window was everywhere, say we're not getting any other attackers, and Bob are going to focus on the midfield and defense, I think I'll be okay with it. It's no idea. I would like to know I'll strike you in, but as Bill says, we're not going to have a finish in this window. I totally agree with the boys and yourself. I think the attacking options are good enough. I think Desser's gets too much criticism because I think the guy is pretty clinical, but not only what he is, he definitely had any shots for his time. I've never seen the boy hit a first time short in my life. Like, I don't know if he's capable of it or what, but he just likes to take a few touches. It's almost like he wants to skin three-four defenders and pit it in the net because it looks better. But that's my only worry. The new low is going to take a bit of time. I've seen some people have already wrote the new low from, like, the guys just came back from a seven-month knee injury. He's not going to come back. He's not Christian or Ronaldo. He doesn't have these recoveries in the injuries and immediately hits that peak form straight off the cuff. You've got to get the guy at least minimum three months. It's so hard coming back from the injury. People don't realize it unless you've been through that type of knee injury. You learn how to walk again. You learn how to kick a ball again. You've got moments where you don't know whether you trust your knee. I mean, there'll be moments where you wouldn't have 50/50. You're like, "Well, my knee holder will just buckle again and go again." You know, it's about building that confidence in his knee. Never mind that confidence in front of goal. So, the new low is one where you're just going to have to buy this time. He might never go on to be that player. It's one of them. If he never got that injury, he could have been, or he could have, or he could go, if they can have shaked off that rustiness and go back up. He was a great striker. I would be looking at our striker. I totally agree with you, Colin. I wouldn't have been adding Shanklin, that's for sure. I've had enough for hearing his name to be quite frank. I've just heard enough for his name, like, I just hate the guy's name. Rename him so that I'm else than we can say him, but I've had enough for his name. Wengar, Wengar is, I think, were good enough, but again, I would love to see him. I brought back. If we sell anybody, anybody, you know, like Campwell, you know, Tavenia, Goldson, and we get some good money, and even through it, I'll be pushing that money towards some delixima. Sima guarantees he goes. Sima is a stats guy, you know what I mean? He's always cleaning the ball as a Cortez, but what he is, he's a goalscorer. You give him a sniffer in the book that books. He's like a nine. He's like a nine. A fox in the box, a striker, even though he's a winger, you feel we've got a chance. We him on the win. And I agree with the comment on YouTube there, about churning. I think he's, he has really good feel, but I've seen him, I think he'll add that quality. I don't think my cousin's good enough, but he's only young. I think it's now another for him in the early development. I look at him in either bit powder puff, if I'm totally honest. He's like, I don't know how to describe him, but this doesn't have that. Like, he doesn't seem to make an impact, but Tim will tell when if he shots me up, he shots me up, but also agree with the defense. I think the defense in midfield, defense especially needs strengthened. I would say at least two cents a half, he brought in, because DVs and Sitter couldn't have hit the ball, but between the pair themselves, genuinely. Like, he would chuck a ball of the one, tell them he hit it and they miss it. You know what I mean? Point blank range. Like, Sitter cannot hit a ball to save his life either. The many times he gets caught under that ball, is actually disgusting. Like, you see that goal, we conceded. The one where it went over and they gave away the penalty. Sitter missed the header. And it was a simmer, if you watch back Mother Bowl's first goal at iBrucks earlier on in February, Sitter comes to hit the ball and totally misses the ball. Like, he goes flying underneath the ball. Like, he just cannot hit a ball. He's great on the ball, and he's great at clearing stuff, but like, we need something that can hit a ball and can be a leader. And you know, for all corner goals and flaws and people say this and another, it was a leader at the back. It was a communicator. You know, four years we had to get at the back. And everybody looked at him, all the defenders, you know, looked at goals and for leadership. Looked at him, you know, because he was good. You know, we were a much solid team with him in it. The 22, 23 season, the Champions League season, you've seen how much loss he was, you know, a form defensively fell right off a cliff. Because, and I think that could be, you know, another thing this season. You know what I mean? I think we're golden. The problem is, there wasn't any, a decent of competition, a competition every place. A communication that we don't, and we keep him at his best. And, you know, back to the point I made earlier, we know we need to, we know we need to get players in the defense and work on the midfield as well. And I'll move on to the last point of the day as well. So, we've, we know, I agree with that one, we know we need to cut a cent or half cent, but I do think this changes massively when we get corner goals and wages off the belt that is right behind the eyes there. Why are your thoughts on the type of midfield that we need? And I think it's, I might be, I might be adding two and two and getting 52 here. Right? But we don't have, we've also all experienced in the middle of a park, right? We've got John Munstrum, we've got young boys who are working in the high end of Harvard, and we've been like to be an immigrant. What had you all done, who I think that was off now, but now we've got John Flake, who's back training at eyebrows just, you know, until we get himself up and running. But, you know, usually that's our way for, it's an easy way for a club to play and get a few weeks. So, that started to remember we're going here. I think it's very obvious that we're working for somebody who's played at the top level. And what's saying as a leader and a ball player midfielder. To be gracious to you is that the type of midfielder that instantly improves your squad and be as John Flake midfielder. I don't know if that's like, that's a tough one. Yeah, I don't know that I'm necessarily qualified. This is my gut is saying no, but, you know, I'm all tough and proved wrong. My players, because, you know, it does be a job. Yeah, the boss of Santa, played the ball player in the midfielder. He experienced a big effort with art. I spoke recently on, I think, when I'm doing these shows about how, like, when we're signing players, I think bringing in younger players is great. I mean, we need the pace and the dynamism of physicality. That's one of the younger players we're bringing. But we need at least two or three guys in the squad that have got that real experience. And when I'm talking about experience, I'm not necessarily just talking about a decent level or a high level. Like, because we have seen it, like guys like, you know, I'm totally unaware, for example, is played in the Premier League. And so, then that's a high level. But I'm talking about, it doesn't need to be that type of need. I'm talking about guys that have done the types of things that we have to do. The range of guys that have been in situations where we have the support that's on the back, been in situations where, you know, the game is crucial. Every game is a must-win. Been in situations where the game takes place. You know, those are the types of guys that we're looking for. Just that extra wee bit in terms of what we've been in, you know, one or two players. So, without that experience, those are the sharp qualities. I think that's the kind of mode I'd like to see them in. The intelligence, looking at, you know, scoring down the game, speaking up the game, as we did, dictating the player a little bit. Oh, that's kind of Stephen Davis type guy, almost. But I think that's really, for me, probably what we're still missing. I know we've got the Amanda in there, and maybe he's the potential, potentially, thanks back for that. He's a bit clearer. But I do think we're still, we need some. We just got a little button, we're experienced. And again, potentially, if it's somebody that's done it, that's been entitled, thanks. There's one thing, as of where it knows what it takes to win, as that docketness and that mentality. For me, that starts kind of what the stuff needs. David, I think, if we're all with the silence, I think we need to find players who bring you the best of the players that sell, because nickel ration isn't a bad football, right? The speed, the fall for all the threads, and the title. Twitter posts are saying he's more bad for you. You can add up what we argue to the goes from all more in consistency. That's an issue. That's an issue for a water rangel's players. But those some there coming in as I said ahead, and it's able to get something like nickel ration through the game, it's able to get consistency for the demand and burden. It's not just that's one player adding ability. It's experienced getting the best of them. I mean, that's a lot of pressure. They're putting one sign in. But a couple of these signs, I think that's what we need to be trying to do. Yeah, I've said previously that although the demand and burden are, you know, they're gelling and they're working really well together. When we're in the trenches, and you know, if the game's not going the way we want it to, we need somebody that's been there, done it, and can just grab it by this graph of the neck, or, you know, reassure the young good guys, maybe take control of the situation, you know, tell them do this, do that, whatever. We do need that. I don't know, I don't think any of us are getting excited about the prospect of John Flick. However, it could tell me to be a shrewd move. A maximum two years, maybe a year, other year option, whatever. However, I don't see it happening, and I don't think he's particular with the answer, but what he would offer, you know, it's not, I don't think it would be a complete failure, but there's also the belief that I have personally that I don't really think you should ever go back. But, you know, the odd exception, maybe fair, guessing, hate, etc. But we're John Flick, another counterpoint to that is that he left when he was, you know, young. So, it's not as if he's always been doing south for a couple of years. Never done much when he's coming back, you know what I mean? It's not really like that. So, I come in two means, I would support him like every day else. You know, they pull that wide jail zone, throws the wide line in the run, the pitch, the option, but to support them. But, yeah, I think we are looking for someone in that mode, but just not him, I think. I was excited about the prospect of Hoanne Jordan, who obviously turned out not to be interesting, because I thought he would offer exactly that. To the LS that it's done, I think I was in the minority, which I'm more than willing to accept, but I was also quite positive about Kenny McLean as well, thinking perhaps, again, two years, decent wage, yes, no selling fee, but he's got that experience that would be needed to guide young guys through the game and, you know, maybe take decisions, make decisions, make tackles, even the other, you know, less experienced players would be perhaps reluctant to make. So, yeah, that sort of thing, and it's a complete, you know, it's a necessity, but I wouldn't, I wouldn't particularly be saying that John Flick would be topi that West. But, yeah, see what harms. So, and I'm going to put my neck in a shopping ball to go against the ground, say, I could see the value in the John Flick here. Yes, you know, the coins are, it was under the last season, he didn't get much game timey as they did too. I think he was a very decent performer for a very pure Sheffield United there, so, you know, I think he was brought to it with just, you know, the absolute best check face that they ended up in the last year or so. If you look at the top end of the championship, John Flick, and I'm all welcome back. Two seasons ago, I think you see the talent he brings. I would take your men out of all the lessons I was saying with me as Bill Chock at West St. John Flick. But, no, I do really see the value here, again, we can't pay over the road for an old guy. I say old guy, always the same age as me, which is terrifying when I put the leg out. But, what's your thoughts on that, John? I'm not a big fan to one of the way he's signing something like John Flick, I'll be totally honest with you. I can see the reason in behind it, you know, I think he's a great player for Sheffield United, but it is a totally different pressure when you're playing for a Rangers. And I know he's played for us already, but it is a totally different pressure when, you know, you're playing for relegation versus playing for titles. And it's a totally different Rangers for when he was here. You know what I mean? This is a totally different side, totally different atmosphere. It's toxic at the moment. Like, you read everywhere and it's toxic. There's nothing positive about Rangers at the moment. You know what I mean? Like, there's no positivity. You know, everything's so toxic and everything's so doom and gloom. You know, like, I think we need someone in there who is maybe a bit younger. If you know what I mean? Like, maybe mid 20s, 25, 26, who has a bit of value. That's my thing is where I think the club of, you know, I'm quite glad we dodged a bullet on John Jordan because if he came in and he was excellent and we played a four million, we're not really going to see that four million again. And that's the whole problem we're in, we're in this situation because we haven't cashed in on players and also spent big money on players. You know, like... See, on that point, I think it's a very fine balance because we can't animate money in every transfer. The, the, the, the pro's near where the bad, but I think it's a dangerous, dangerous game. It's time to make money on every transfer because we end up with 11, 21 year olds in. Oh, no, no, I agree. I agree. I don't think we should be saying that, you know, I live in 21 year olds, but I also don't think we should be, you know what I mean? I mean, shelling a big fee for a guy it's 30, you know. If he was maybe 26, 27, like I said, he'll desert his age. Then I'll be a bit more like Will. Yeah, he's probably break even if he comes in and he does well. I think we need to broaden our horizons as well and look in different markets and know just South America. We need to look in Asia, you know, as well. I think that's a huge market like Japan, you know. I hate seeing it, but the other side of the city of Concord, Japan, you know, like, we should be, you know, looking at that type, type of market as well. Asia, and kind of Eastern parts of Europe and looking for gems as well as having that kind of core balance. But I don't think when a bad situation in the midfield anyway, I think if we can add an experienced body in there, then for a good fee, then I think we could be onto one because I've watched bad anyways. Everything that we need for that sexual is very smart, is passing. You know, you look at his energy, he's always moving. Like, the midfield is moving again. We just launched him, it's so static, you know, where we can play bounce passes. You know what I mean? Like, that's what I want from my midfielder, you know, his movement is not being static and just playing long balls. You know, David made a good point right at the start about the long balls. I think that's one thing that's let me down last season was the amount of long balls we played under Clement. And some delight Connor Barram won't play long balls. You know, he'll play the right balls into the right players. And if we can get somebody in next time and push the Amanda up of it, it could really, really, really push us onto that next level. But yeah, that's what I think, you know. I think that's a good time to almost start wrapping up Jens. We've put the ball to date, Sam. I think we all agree that, you know, signs of improvement for angels, but still progress to be done in the next few days, particularly if we're going to bulk up this European squad. It has to be confirmed in the 1st of August. We only two changes allowed to be made before the day. So a lot of work to be doing. But we'll be on every morning. This week, Monday, Friday, 9 a.m., talking about the daily news and all the rumours and anything that harms with angels starting tomorrow morning. Myself and Jack will be on with James as well coming back these holidays. So make sure you tune in folks. Thank you to everybody who has listened and been going over in the comments as always. So it was a good bit of fun getting the back and forth. But also I have to just thank my three guests. First of all, the man and the van, Bill. Just for coming on, mate. Yeah, thanks for having me on Colin. I've definitely called the man and the van before. That makes me sound like some sort of a weird auto movie protagonist. Yeah, I don't know what the knitted art. But thanks nonetheless for everybody for tuning in. And thanks to my all-sparing partner, Karimansha for the compliment and the comments about my haircut and my beard and also some of the less savoury things that I said that we didn't put it on screen. But we always appreciate that from you, Karim. And thanks to everybody for your support as always. Yeah, he has a demand and answers for the questions that he's put to you about your time in the van. But maybe we'll keep that for Patreon content. You know, there's my... If Karim puts it to me in an email or the list of the questions, I'm sure that you'll get my out of office. David, thank you for coming on for your first live show, mate. Always a pleasure speaking to you. Yep, sure was. Likewise, obviously. Good speaking to Dylan for the first time, good to see Bill again. And obviously yourself, so very much enjoyed it. And they added bonus with the comments. Even though some of them were a bit nuts, I think it's safe to say that that's just the tip of the iceberg and the next time I'm on it will be even mental. But no, I've really enjoyed that, so thank you again. Ah, some of the comments are nuts. Some of the comments are nuts for the podcast as well. Yes, no, no, no. Don't do it live. But last but not least, solid debut, Dylan. Playing our love for you and the comments. Thank you very much for coming on, mate. Oh, well, thank you for getting me on. I appreciate it. I enjoyed the podcast. Love talking about Rangers and just sharing my opinions. I think we can all agree we just want success for our team. You know, our opinions might differ, but we all just have one common goal and that's rangers to win the league. Um, do I think we'll win it this year? Don't know. Personally, I'd love it though. But yeah, it's been great to have it speaking to you, Bill, David and Colin and all the people in the comments. Um, it's made an enjoyable podcast. And they hope we do more. I hope we have you on very soon. But to everybody, I wish you good night and I'll see you very now with tomorrow morning to speak with Hamner, Rude, Angels. Take care. [MUSIC]
