My name's Colin, and I'm reading the charts with my three-way product. Today, it's the first time we've had three, four-coron in a few weeks. So, you know, kicking after weekend early for your listeners. First of all, we've got Daniel in guessing for the Rangers. John, no, how was your today, mate? Morning, guys. Thanks very much for having me. No, I was good, mate. I was good. How's fans over at the John, no, these days? Good, me, I, um, content all the time. It was the same thing coming up. So I, it's, uh, it's only the good. For that fellow, we enjoy that actually, yeah? No, I was, um, always happy for a good, a good pass over at the John, no, as I always say, you get your gal on fewer content in the morning, your journal content, and you just need to find something today between 10 and six, uh, during the day, uh, that's no spot. We've got you covered at the end. Um, also today, we've got our gal on fewer debut terms. It's James, uh, first of all, thanks very much for coming on, mate. No, I'm not, I'm not a problem, mate. Thanks very much for having me on, mate. Really looking forward to being on the show, no? No, no. I was, uh, just to taste your new face, and they will appreciate you for coming on, particularly when you've got all the drama where Angel says, no, the, it's no, the funnest time you talk about Angel's right now, is it? Yeah, well, it's no, mate, but like I say, at least I talk about Angel's like, so it's like, that's a good thing, mate. I'll start talking about that anyway, I'll do it, mate. Happy days. So we'll check out for you, um, get your thoughts, James, on the, on the first story of the day, uh, myself and David kind of touched on this yesterday when we were talking about Sam Ramos. Um, and after Sam Ramos was playing for the B team yesterday, reports just spouted everywhere, um, both in Toronto and London Hall and saying, uh, the reason has Phillip come on, who's to be trying to force a move, that's the reason he's waiting for the B team, and that's because Sam Ramos has wages, been a stumbling block for any move to the like, so you'd say to any other, um, any other club, um, apparently he's known when he registered wages, he's done a good wage at Rangers. He's wrote three years left and he's co-interact, um, what's your, what's your thoughts in this, James? I can say for both sides, mate, you know, you've got a guy that's obviously owned X amount, thousands of pounds a week, he's known, ain't it? Maybe then the right mind's going to leave, um, on reduced wages to go anywhere, so the guy's probably going to dig his heels in, he gets either the same amount of money, or are you bit mad at while the club is going to go to? But for me as well, looking at, if you're a professional footballer, you're wanting to be playing games, we can and we could, you're wanting to be winning things, you're wanting to put your, your name out there in the short one day, um, so for me, I can, I can see it both ways, um, but if it was me, I would be willing to move on and hopefully get my name in the short one day to time get a team that's going to come in and start scoring goals. It's been a shame from, because it's obviously no but out from, uh, whereas, um, but it's one of the three things, mate, you'll know about it first and then certainly over the last player that's came to Rangers and the shots been too heavy for him, I think. That's the thing, I don't think you can dispute that there's talent there somewhere, right? Um, and I know this is impossible to say, but you, you can clearly do it and actually, you can do it elsewhere. Where there's the shots too heavy or it just doesn't click asset on club it, it doesn't always click where a player in a club combination and that's, that's just part of a life, isn't it? Yep, I 100% mate, it's like, you know, we've seen big players and some mammals come to score under no being able to do it. Um, and again, it's, it's a shame because everybody does want it to work out for him, has it just been the fact that he's no good player in his right position? Um, a striker, he's always been played, um, in the middle of the park. You can see that the guy's got some good touches and he's got a, a football and brain in there. Um, but again, for me, mate, I just think obviously come to my, my copy size of the Angels, you, you, you don't get that three, four, five months to settle in, you need to hit the ground running, um, you need to be winning for every single game that you do it there. Dean, hear me out in another lesson to be jumping on me here, but just playing devil's advocate, Rangers are in the market for a striker, some animals are showing that he can do quite well in this striker role. That, is there any chance that he has a future Angels team? Thank you. No, um, quickly, as me shot down. Um, just take hold of what James said, the shot being too heavy for him. I don't think that that's going to, it's going to be less heavy from, because he had a good, well, it's like that, a fantastic six month loan spell and, and, and the other ones they are so, as, as we've all alluded to the fact that it's that, the Dutch league is the, is the league for him. It was his, um, brilliant, um, skills, it was his brilliant attributes. They got on, they moved totally, at least didn't work out for him. Um, didn't work out for him in Germany, and essentially never worked out for him in Scotland. So how many more leagues is he going to, is he going to go and try at that age? Um, 26, 27, between his peak years, you probably kind of want to be playing the place that you've played your base football for you to achieve probably what you can achieve. And I've noticed that you could play for a top team in the Netherlands. I really don't, and I firmly believe that it would be an asset to any team that you played for. So I think that's what we should be open, happens, but I was thinking about the whole wages thing. Um, and I think, obviously, the finances and the way that things work and it's said, but he's on 27, 28 grand a week, right? So I'll be able to get into a club that will pay 20 grand, and we're only paying eight grand for the remainder of his Rangers contract. And then after his Rangers contract, um, it's up to the club if they want to, you know, keep paying them, whatever. So I think that's going to be a sort of the lesser of the two evils, so we speak for him to leave. And I think that, you know, I'm just hypothetically speaking, obviously, but that 20 grand could be spent on another first team starter, I think, in paying say a grand, the equivalent of a grand a week for three years of still, I have to be aware that we pay that up front as a compensation or we keep as a cost, uh, running over. And I don't know if we've been a bit short-sighted, we've put them in the beating mirror because, yeah, in one hand you put the pressure on a Sam Hammers to say, right, you don't have future here, you need to go. On the other hand, James, I'll bring you in here. On the other hand, you tell the football and world that we are desperate, yeah, they're this guy. So, who in the right mind is right, I pay the market value for Sam Hammers when he knows Rangers are desperate, everybody but global. So, it's any, I think, any chance of Rangers getting the money back and close to that has been in going. Hello, I think it's going to be one of the ones where we're going to need to take the hat on them, whether it's relation them for less than what we've obviously paid for them. It's also, you know, the first guy that's always the country Rangers and we've lost money on them. It just seems to be a way that we have been operating over the last couple of years that we've never seen them make a profit on these kind of players. But again, it's that, you've got to be trying to get away with it, you know, you might be able to come in and do a turn during pre-season, have a look at them, see how he gets on against what man you needed and stuff like that in these games. And then, you know, you never know, but for me personally, I think, I think the time's coming going for Sam and Rangers and again, it might be up the edge to us and we take the hat and obviously, whatever it is, we remember getting one or two million pound in from me, at least it's stole money back in. I know it's no the money that we, you know, she'll do it for the guy, but it's something it would also get on the other, and it would also get more of the reach but as well. What a summer it's been, just in our sort of soccer set of Rangers. We have no idea next story and again, Dean, myself and David have kind of touched on us the last few days on the news, Juan Jordan of Sevilla. So it was heavily reported, I think Fabrizio Romano even put out the Rangers as their own bid rejected for them. Spanish news people say, I'm sorry, Spanish news, say K Tipportes were reporting yesterday that he's now came in terms of his future one via Sevilla and also that Sevilla are well in a negotiate or in the wages. So previously, Istanbul and Bork was Sevilla was in some day, pay all the wages, so they just won't be able to do that. So they could budge on the plays with something, something up there, maybe even half the wages. The span on the walkspot as the Alaveza and the RMPI course are also apparently interested, I think, where a lot of people to say to that, Alaveza both teams equals in to the start and win up. I think Alaveza, of course, at the home of the RMPI course, obviously, you know, after a bit of European success last year, Kevin, all of these updates, how like, which you find this all ham, is he going to be an injures player next year? Good question, I think, I think if if we're able to match what's civil one for the wages, then it's all about how we sell rangers to him, I think that's basically it because... Well, we're kind of like such an attractive proposition right now, aren't we? That's kind of a point. I mean, how many, you know, one of the biggest seven points for anybody coming to rangers is European Knights iBrocks, both from games iBrocks. These are the atmospheres that players want to play and we can really show them that at the moment because we're not going to be at iBrocks and again, although the club's now coming out and saying to us that it's going to be for this period of time, if I ever... I'll be honest, we haven't even trust anything that comes out. It's the board at the moment, so I can't even make the sort of the preemptive thought that we do, you know, as fine, we're going to come in, it's only going to be for a wee period of time and be back at iBrocks and the taste of the champions league. Do you know what I mean? It's hard to sell for Neo's coping and Comon and what not to lure him to iBrocks. The one thing I will say though is that he has the capabilities as far as I'm concerned with what I've read, it would come in and it would be first name on the team's share rangers, which, given the circumstances, is going to be a good thing for rangers. But like you just said, all the days closer at home, along the Akos, you know, the recent European exploits and along the Akos are a big drop. The really are, let's be honest, they are a big drop for players and players like in the sort of that stage of careers as well. So I've seen these takes months over the time. So as a hard one for them just to go over the line, I think if we do, I'll be a massive coup, I really do. I think it will be, you know, a very good business by the club as we come in. James, any other thoughts? Again, I don't know if it's just how I'm feeling where rangers are now, where everything we do turns to, everything we touch, just turns to shite is. So I'm too mad to touch. So I don't know if I'm who I'm doing, where no affiliation, I probably am more likely going to conference league winners at one PI course if I'm going to go over the road. For me as well mate, I think as Dean always said to me, it's how you sell rangers and I think he'd have a column on. I think he's one of the type of guys that we're talking. Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds. At Mint Mobile, we like to do the opposite of what Big Wireless does. They charge you a lot, we charge you a little. So naturally, when they announce they'd be raising their prices due to inflation, we decided to deflate our prices due to not hating you. Go to LinkedIn.com/results to claim your credit. That's LinkedIn.com/results. Terms and conditions apply. LinkedIn, the place to be to be. That passion to try and get players to come to the club. If you're in there without passion, because I was at the night that I were having bottled and sunnished, and the way he was talking about the angels, he gets us. I think that's a massive partner. I'm having a manager there that knows about the club. He knows if fans, he knows how passionate we are, and he figures in there and speaks to these guys and says to them, "You're obviously going to come to the angels for the chance that you can be playing champions league. You've got to be playing front at 50,000+ every certain week. You've got a fan base that will back you to the help. Will he get that in Turkey or playing for Alves? It's that. If I may make that, I think that is a biggest sale. Get in there and also saying that this is what Rangers can offer you. Yeah. I do think Klemone has a bit of a curiosity of that as well, and he was co-oping who well he might not be a household name. They've got a good head degree in the European football arena. Hopefully, that does help us 10-4, because we do need to start getting players. I mean, that's only what, three weeks and Sunday until we're all back playing competitive football, so the time is all the essence. It's been a bit competitive football then, just moving on to the B team. The Rangers can come from just something like that. The B team will play their first round game of the SPFL Trust will fit against bonus capital parking. That's going to be the 30th of July. It's a Tuesday night quarter take off. Again, just to be better, I've got a few news. Obviously, you would have held Scots coverage of the B team game against Legion. I think yesterday we'll be covering the B team halfway this year, then we'll be speaking to the managers after. Each game that we can get this for myself and Andy will be there. I'll come here first. I really like the B team going in. This tournament, because nothing can substitute competitive football. I suppose this news, there's not really too much making a pain on it, it's born as fast round. We can all say that we're expetting just to run one, but I suppose the equation of 50 is, what else should we be working at for the B team? Because the best be best, doesn't it? I don't think I think we'll have to do it to go into the rolling league. How should we set up the game time for the B team this year? I think we should be setting up the game time for them to play as many competitive minutes of football as possible, really. That's going to be the number one priority, but I played in obviously these competitions is going to bring us that because they're going to probably be far between. You know, and I guess no having a sort of somebody in charge of the role you'd set up and things like that, because obviously, since Zeblath does that, as far as that role's not being filled. So I just then makes the job a bit harder. So these sort of games you want to be playing as much as possible, but it's just a shame that they've been in such a mess of it. It really is because you really, really want these players to be playing to then bridge that gap between us in the first team, because with them not playing the gap, just gets further in front of them. And then more difficult to bridge in the future, as far as I'm concerned. So I'm just looking forward to the lads getting, you know, competitive for a few minutes. No, I agree. Even James, I suppose a question I've brought in my head is, well, it's going to be more valuable to, obviously, I don't want to kill my chickens, but I'd expect to be teaming me going to beat Bonaise and maybe getting in the next round, but in games like this, it'll be more valuable to the likes of, I don't know why, I call them a criminal or a rugby Fraser, getting 90 minutes and again, my guests in the SPFL Trust Trophy, are being made available to be in the short for Rangers. First team, if it has to be one other, a lot of depends on the fact shows. I'm kind of, I'm kind of winning towards the first team, because I think that's what will be the season that the young players get the opportunities. So it's, well, it's great having the Trust Trophy. I agree with the nothing when they get a minute involved within the first team as much as we can. No, I'm bad at agreeing with that as well. I think as well of that experience and being around what the first team plays, these guys are also passionate about the experience theorem will be even valuable to them. I think the worst thing I've ever had to make was they get rid of the old reserve league, because you hear the amount of people, the expros, your mccoists, your gerants and stuff like that saying that when they were coming back for an injury, you were actually playing against first-team players that were coming back for other injuries for other clubs. So that experience is well made. I think that Scottish football needs to have a look at its shell and I'll say maybe time bring that there's everything back for me, because obviously if young players are up against the experienced pros for other teams, that will bring them on as well. But I do think that even in these friendlies, I think they should be game minutes, you know, like your barely right season stuff like that as well. On a percent, I think that they need to be in and in and around this to see what they can do. And even playing in cup games, neither suspect, Taylor, you know, what the lower league teams are for also getting some day at Ibrokes. If these players candidate against these teams, then they will never be at Rangers. So I think obviously they should give them even if it's a new or half a new, bring them half a bench and against these teams just to see what the boys can do. It's also easier being in a win environment, but see to your point now, we don't need to field 11 under 21 Euros in our cup game or even at home Eros County in a Saturday. See if we have a fully available sword, right? And we start 10 over all regular 14 players and then start a paradise in the Midway Park, you know, just starting one young player. If that makes the team forward, that's a reflection on the rest of the players know that young player, like Rachel should be doing nothing. Like maybe I'm asking a lot here, they are marking the a broken sword, but we should get this right that way everywhere. I'm good enough to carry a reserve player, a young player. I haven't said that well in the Midway World so we do need to get these better players coming in deeper. I remember when Bari Fair gets from his pregnant anything, again, granted we had players that weren't thrown, because we had the experience shooting a bootbari to obviously bring them on. But Bari Fair gets in command there beneath here, and I remember the game against Labour cruising in the absolutely ripped him apart that night, that turn that he does in the middle with a part to set up and broadcast, he puts out both of them. And that's the thing I think that a young player brings in. They'll come in beneath here knowing that I've got my chance here that a good team. So I met myself and this team in that shot, I'm looking this shot up now once I get that and keeping it. And I think that's the good that I've been bringing in young players as well. They'll bring that energy into the team as well. I mean, look at what I mean, you know, like he or CZF he would take on the world, and I know he's, I can put it with a different way of way off a where we've got, but it's that youthful confidence or naive, whatever you want to call it, you're right, they don't have the fear, they don't have the battle scales yet, so I'm going to use that as much as we can. Last story will come in before we end up there and just finishing a wee bit of a positive range of women. Our back and preseason and our first friendly was yesterday against Hamilton, so obviously Hamilton there were all and to be fair, Hamilton played a lot of tireless, but it was an absolute strutting 14 goals to one. The goals shoulders, Jordan McQueen, they love McQueen, custom McQueen, real hard, they cost they have it, Mia McQueen, Kathy Hell, Kay Wilkinson, and all the very good five, so well done to them. Then I think this is just pretty much a glorified training game for the Rangers' women, but nice to see them pick up where they left off in the last season, just taking teams to the salt. Oh, I'd say a good way to keep them momentum going, and obviously a good sort of foundation for them to build on in the preseason and make sure that they're there and they go and challenging for that title coming into the season, I think. Yeah, very good result, well done. Hi, absolutely. And James, I don't know if everybody watches too much of the women to see them feeling pretty well down for your travel to the place areas last year as well. I do think this has to be the season where I think because the last four or five year we've been building the women's team up for scratch, and we'll be on down there and I think that it should be an expectation we're going one this week and see their hope because I know I feel we're starting with Rangers side and nine and expectations should just be the same as any other Rangers team for them. No, I agree with that. That's obviously speaking, obviously hearing for the the women's manager, she's always thinking about having a lot of experience as well and I think she's a winner. I think she's got that driver bit as well that will make her good and hopefully win the league for this season. I don't know too much about the women's side of things like that, and I'm also kind of ignorant to that. I think I need to get myself caught up on it, but obviously speaking to them, I've obviously seen them a few times on the tail of vision, and I do think it is time now that they've obviously stepped up, made and started winning this league. Just taking the left and shift while we were talking about the young players. I mean, I go the amount of young players the Rangers beat team, the Rangers women team broke through last year, so told the mimic all the way when young player year have been scrolling, she's 17-year-old, Jordan McQuarley, custom McQuarley, getting scrolling caps in 19. We've got a lot of players who played four-year games last year, only in 2021. I feel it's better than a improved mayor this year as well, so I think we've seen a bad consistency for the Rangers women last year, and I think that's just where I'm in our young players, but these young players have now got a full season under the belt. They've got two trophies today, so I think what kind of season we should see what they call a sequence they play in youth is, so I'm looking forward to. I know it's exciting season ahead, but team, that will bring us the accross for the small ones update. Just to show you to the listeners, as always, thank you very much for listening. If you can find our like, subscribe, follow wherever you're getting a podcast, and obviously, yesterday you have Scott's update from the B-Team game, and I also spoke to Malkay Thompson and Paul Nesso, and today a half-eight will be live on the usual platforms myself and then David, the usual carnage that our lives show will bring, so get yourself along, and also have to do this to find my two. Yes, Dean, it's always a pleasure having you on. Thanks very much for coming on, mate. No, it's a pleasure, and the privilege is always calling, so thank you very much for having me, and I'm honoured to be a part of your show in the mornings. Do you know what to say? It's a good week start to the day to talk about the injures, isn't it? So, yeah, so thanks for having me, and if you're interested in seeing my face guys just going over to the injures done now, and they find us doing content out every day, so like, share and subscribe, please. No, I totally agree with you mate, that you know, if things are going well, the injures, you get a buzz in the morning, if things are going well, then you get a wee bit of more than therapy, so one by neither way. James, it's been a pleasure having your own, I hope you're going for your debut, it was enjoyable for you as it was for us. I met, I had a good time, I've thought about the injures anyway mate, so I'm happy. It's a happy day, mate, so thanks everybody for listening, and we'll be back again away around tonight, and of course the morning morning for the last new show of the week. Take care. [Music]
