My dad works in B2B marketing. He came by my school for career day and said he was a big row as man. Then he told everyone how much he loved calculating his return on ad spend. My friends still laughing at me to this day. Not everyone gets B2B. But with LinkedIn, you'll be able to reach people who do. Get a $100 credit on your next ad campaign. Full turns at Mint Mobile.com. Good morning folks and welcome to the Yountures Daily News. For Tuesday, the same as July 2024. My name is Colin and I'm delighted to be joined by Scott Young. Scott, the nurse, who's sounding like an old guy. How is that at the end of July already? It's mental, isn't it? Like me, my sister was speaking with yesterday. She said we're halfway, we're close to Christmas 2024, and we are at Christmas 2023, which is the most mental thing I've ever seen. So I don't know how it's sitting alive, but it's flowing this year away. It's flowing, but a lot of stuff's happened, and hopefully a bit of setting after the, as I just found in the first half I was. As I went way behind the big Christmas, my my season ticket money came out. I did a full installment, so it came out yesterday and I ripped again. I'm ashamed of it, man. I think it was a wide man's installment, like a wide man's installment, and then Jan, we're like, money starts. So it's just, we can't even have a break. It's just an endless cycle of money. That's my annual announcement. If MD wants to join the Copeland Road Menage, you can find me. Well, you can't find me in the Copeland Stand at the Saturday season, maybe in October. You can come up and see me in the Copeland Road, and we'll get a menage sorted. Do you know what menage has struck you too young for that? I was, I was far too confused when you started to speak with my menages. Well, we'll leave it here. The westerners will tell you in the comments, "Jesus Christ, man, what a start to my day." I feel very old now. Let's talk with the angels. A story that broke over the Olympic book, a story that's been started in over Sunday and Monday. Birmingham City, apparently, interested in Colin Ronson's crop. So Chris Davis, the old cell tick player, he's taken over the management position, Birmingham, and apparently he's really interested in taking Colin Ronson there. So, ghosting over the two years left his current act. Birmingham in the lead one, this year, so ghosting would be going out as a main man. I'd imagine it might be even a captain. I don't know how much money Birmingham City have. They're fairly big club in terms of like English, second and third tier status. I'm more too sure it's. So, I could see ghosting go in a club like that. I don't know if I see him go in the lead one, but what's your thoughts in this? I was quite shocked when I heard he was going like formula like, but Birmingham have been splashing the cashier, but they weren't with the boy. He's a caramel hail, he was coming too. Yeah, they were one of the championship player of the year, the nominee for player of the year, he was up there, player of the year last year. He was, they were heavy like with him, also weeping like with him. So, it seems to me that they are really looking at the fact, because they got new owners last year, obviously, and the new owners made an arsenal of it, they're speaking about their loss, when they sacked, John Eustace had brought a win really, and that went up the shirt off quite quickly. So, they do seem to be splashing the cashier, me desperate to come straight back up. And someone like ghosting would be good at that level, because experience had played X about games for us, every week, Europe, European final, etc, etc, Trump is like, whatever. So, I think he would be, I think that's the kind of saying you'd look at, as I leave one club, he'd be good to get a straight back up. From his point of view, I think he can do better, as much as we all bombasted him for the back end of the last season, when he was pretty bad before his injury. I do think he is better than English League 1, but in saying that, I think the options are English League 1 or Saudi Arabia, seems to be there the only two options cards. So, you can get decent, if you can probably play, I don't think they're pulling much between the levels I'm playing on. I would be surprised if Saudi Arabia has a similar level to English Championship, English League 1. So, you could probably play in the same level, for double the amount of money in Saudi Arabia, I'm going to Saudi Arabia, don't have you. So, it seems to be, Saudi coaching has a decision to make. Maybe he wants to say he has his family, he's got a young family. So, there's a definite option in the cards here. But, yeah, I'm quite shocked that an English League 1 club is in the conversation really. I think you've had the name on the head there. It's okay to say we don't want him, but he's too good for a League 1. I think he would soar there. But, again, we know there's been conversations we've gone across and even when he stayed up in the range, it was not for the border. Like, a big party, his decision meeting was, his family were able to bring up, his family was able to say as well. I was factored in there. So, somewhere like, "Guess me," like, if he's getting some more money, what he's on now in these last movies, "Shadir" going closer at home, then that may be, that may be the option film, that may be appealing to him, even if it isn't legal in that, as opposed to, I mean, if his life was his, then he'd run a Glasgow, because it was too far away from home. I mean, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, is a weep that father afield. Yeah, but, I mean, you could always, I've seen a lot of it, but I was speaking about it, it's going to sound, and they basically told the family, "Right, my wife for two years, I made her money, I couldn't say I'd grind kids up." So, it's only, it's basically a year, maybe two year to be a way for his family. So, obviously, we're not chronicles, and we don't know where he's currently thinking, for all we know he could be in just next season, let's hope not, but he could be. So, the definitely has a decision to make, and yet, his family will be a big part of this, because it has been a way, I don't think his family are up here, but I think they travel, right, I think, his kids are starting to go up here. So, obviously, we don't know what he's thinking at the moment, but, I'd be very shocked if he has stuck here next season, but I'd also be very shocked, if he's in Birmingham next season either. Yeah, so we'll put that one on the, on the paper at last then, in fact, in the answer case. Obviously, there's not been any news at all, but I would go in any country news over the weekend. Go into Birmingham and shortly, to Sheffield where he says, the only thing that's really happened. We are expecting James to have a near-story go, and this trend always is on here on next story where, the first part of that story is not really news, where the sun nined the record, and the herald, and the other newspapers are just saying that Ben Johnson's interest was real by a range, and naturally, went all the way back to January, where they were interested, we brought you through the closing wages, so, I don't know, it's a swollen news day for the papers, that's just re-ashing out. We already knew that, but so that, I'm kind of in an object, because we know we're in the market for a right back, and this leads us nicely on to the boy, Waltz, I'm no greater than I said. First name, because I will butcher it, I think it's real, real, Waltz, from Arsenal. What works? Right. Big Waltz. He is officially away from Arsenal now, and he's free to join other clubs, and Rangers would get him for a minimal fee, for the cross-board of the Wehrman fee, much less in what another English club would get him for. So, this was one that was very, you know, it was very, very well spoke about in the start of June end of May. Do you see this one happening? It's one of them, it's not really going away, so I probably could see it happening in the same way that someone like Ken, the Ken and McLean rumours don't seem to be going away. So, I think it might be something in that, but on the plate himself, I like, I've said this before on here, I don't like the fact we keep going to England to make signings, but what I do like about signings from England is if we go to a comedy, academies, and find release James, such as Calvin Bassie, do John Stellings and another one. Like, Waltz has released from Arsenal, then I think that's a good way to use the English market to get these James, who could probably get a bit of a check on the show that I've been released. And, sort of using that to everyone advantage. So, and I obviously, the position is definitely a good one because my God, we need to write back. So, yeah, it takes all the boxes for me, I've never seen them, apart from the obvious, I've never seen them play. So, I can't make a judgement whether it's probably good enough for ranges or not, because I've never seen them kick a ball, but it kind of takes all the boxes from a sort of market perspective for me, so if it does happen, I would be excited. But I'm not sure about someone from someone who's played minimal 14 football, becoming our first choice right back. No, for me, do John Stellings should be the first choice right back next season, by who could buy a trip. And I think you're right around the sailing players from England, but those two, that's for me, those two, that's for him, types of sailing and fangirlenders. Players who have played regular in England, and then we sit, when we sign them, we are basing on what they've done there. And what we've, what we've done is we've, we've team players who have had mixed to inconsistent contributions at Boston, where we'll fangirl, and they've come up in one, but all the most of them have not done too much. He, what I was following in his other bracket where he's on to identity as a gamble. So, we know, we're seeing an example, we know, we're seeing a prospect. That has worked to be a bit more fillers and the former. So, he's 19-year-old. There's every chance that, we're seeing him with the aim that he would improve, over the coming years. He can play, he can play, he can play, he can play, he can play, he can play, he can play, he can play back, he can play, he can play back, he can play back. Again, a week, that's more appealing to me than somebody who's maybe played 100 odd games in the English Championship in this 25, and he's a bit mad at it, for example. But did you see from once comments and started saying, or you started to get the young players, I knew, he wants to start adding experience. So, I do think we'll, we'll be maybe another one young player added, and I think I'll be, I think the best will be players who have at least 100 to 200 games under the bell, I think. Yeah, I think there's a difference, I saw a bit of Chris Sismar that comment from some fans, when they were saying Arthur, we were going for under 25, so whatever. I think there's a difference between being experienced and being old. Yeah, yeah, yes. You can be 23, 24, and play our horror games into a bit. Like, it's quite easy to do so, if you're playing at a decent level, but at a decent club in Europe, and you can play 50 to horror games being 23, 24 year old. Obviously, this is an example from the top, top level of the game. But I'm hoping to play 100, I'm hoping to play 100 games when I'm sitting, he's 23, he's same as me, he's 23 year old. You can be experienced, but the experience doesn't mean you're old. So, I think we will need to realise the difference between the two. No, I totally agree, and you barely understand what's going on. I mean, what age was he the doppler captain at? And so... Thank you somewhat. If I'm stupid. Hi, an experience comes with, it doesn't come with age, it comes with game time, and being exposed in a different situation. So, this isn't quite, not what I've ever seen him, we're going to get between now and August, as well, if you can't even play. And I do think there is, there will be a couple of players in and around 30, the other side of the day, that's OK if they can still contribute. But, no, I'm taking the same as you, where we're working for, you know, actual playing experience as opposed to years on this planet. So, I think... When you're focusing on an academic clean one, I don't know if you've spoken about an academic clean one here. I think it's very hard, this is a politicians answer. Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds. At Mint Mobile, we like to do the opposite of what Big Wireless does. They charge you a lot, we charge you a little. So, naturally, when they announced they'd be raising their prices due to inflation, we decided to deflate our prices, due to not hating you. That's right, we're cutting the price of Mint Unlimited from $30 a month to just $15 a month. Give it a try at mintmobile.com/switch. $45 up front for three months, plus taxes and fees, promoting for new customers for limited time, unlimited more than 40 gigabytes per month, slows, full turns at mintmobile.com. It's very hard to make a judgment on it on isolation because it really depends how the rest of the time. So when it goes, because if you look at it, paying money, what will we need to pay? Well, the best part, am I being pound for? Nor does she wear the yellow last year? Paying that for 32 year olds who are driving high wages. We won't get any sale on value. In isolation, your weight goes out against everything we're speaking with the transfer model. But after the rest of the signings are, you know, we've signed three young players who we are expecting the resale value in five years. Time to go sky high. If the more experienced whales all come in between the ages of 26 and 28 and the res potential resale value, it's okay to have one or two like an immigrant. Not every signing has to be sold on in five years time for double the money. So we are probably worth money on some signings. It's just the profits need to out wear the losses. So if we get the rest of the window right, I think an immigrant would be able to do some signing and because it does add an experience of the British day of the play is and that Christian knows the club is done at a very decent level. He's still doing at a very decent level. He was asked from the championship last year and yeah, thank you somebody who would see out the career. He's a widdle and we need more widdles. What would you think? I mean, Andrew, we're on the transfer show. Speaking of this, and I made a comparison. I see Kenny McLean as a sculptor, a field replacement. Someone who will work as an athlete. Excellent comparison by the way. Because I saw there was a graph going about, it was one of them, one of those stato graphs about tackling interceptions and distance cover that kind of thing. And Kenny McLean was in the top corner of it. So he was like top for tackle, top for interceptions, top for distance cover that kind of thing. And that is what you got from Scott Rfield. Someone who, I don't know if Kenny McLean's a ghost scorer, that Scott Rfield was. I don't know if that's yesterday. I think Kenny McLean would get, Kenny McLean would probably get you four or five goals. Rfield would get you between seven and 10, which is a massive drop off if you can ask from the rest of the team. But I see Kenny McLean's obviously ticks a homegrown box. So that's another reason to say what's got right, which is always a plus for me. He, he will work as well. So as he knows the club, you saw him play for Scotland, especially in Norway game. He's good for the odd goal, important goals. It makes late runs in the box like Rfield would. So to me it does tick all the boxes, but like you said, he does need to sort of, we need to get the rest of the window right. Can it be all Kenny McLean's? One Kenny McLean plus a bunch of children. Would work for me. All right, but you know, as our balance speaker, well, it's just a very common economy messiah who's not putting any very much fasting football. We can't have 12 seniors like him because not all of them will work out. But no, I take Kenny McLean and I'm no adversity. It really is, depends on the context. They have the rest of the window goes, but that's a great comparison. Scott Rfield, I think Kenny McLean has a wee bit of a deeper play up by the whole profile of the type of character and somebody who can contribute is spot on. So according to Simon, speaking to our TV for the first time, I think he joined up during the last week and he's been in about three seasons training. And he's taught about how he feels about joining Rangers. And he said, first of all, there's a huge sense of pride. This club is legendary. Totally agree, Clinton. He said, "It's legendary. We have lots of titles in prestige, including in Europe. I'm honestly very honored to say for this club." I know it's a club that the fans are very committed to. They put so much heart in getting behind the team in every competition. And I feel like sense of responsibility. And lots of anticipation and excitement about experience in that atmosphere too. I know the manager coached at Monaco as well as in the Belgian League. He always puts a lot of faith in young players. And as a young player, that was a big factor for me and my decision to come to Glasgow. It helps to have a coach who will come on. He gives a lot of support to young players and that doesn't make it feel like a big step. Having a coach that will help me progress. So I'm not focused on the step up for America and me to seeing your level. Sort of struck. There's a few hands here. Over the last couple of weeks, when the rates were lower, with laser and massive money and so far, the same, the contact extensions. Clement and Corpin are speaking so heavily and so consistently about young players making the step up. Clinton, the sailor here, has just spoke here where we are around. That's been a big factor in him coming to the Rangers. Somebody who puts 15 young players that coupled with the focus, the Rangers media team have put on this sign in. It's more of a first team type sign in like focus as opposed to a young person. I think this boy might be here to play when he first signed up for maybe be, you know, a Calvin Bassey type player where he'll play for the beat team for the first year. And then the manager would make a step up. I think he's maybe one of your set the house. I've always thought he was coming in as a starter. Well, not a starter, but I was thought he was coming in to be first team player. Obviously, that's always built into Calvin Bassey's first season. Don't be able to help a good Calvin Bassey as you don't believe in the second season. I always remember my first time when I come to Calvin Bassey, he's always at some on the way in the cup. Do you remember my again? Here we can beat, and he was the worst player in the park. Somebody's belting him, but we're the youth with the young player thing. Top of it, come on, being good with her. I want to see that in practice one next season, because the amount of times we were saying when Blunstrom was hopeless, start bailing ice, play bailing ice more, and he just kept the lunch jump until staring at fit, or the amount of fit, or whatever else get back, rascing. So, I want to see that. I don't want players just playing all your young players with that. I need to start seeing that more. He's really sought towards the back end of last season when we had to play someone lately on kind. We had to play some of like Robbie Fraser. I want to see us use the Academy more, but that goes into the topic of conversation, which I've been hamming on all day. The young players don't play games for the beating. They play for only 172 months, so that needs fixed. Oh, scroll, we could do a sex part on that board. Yeah, and we're getting older. Things are the boardcasters on that. Aye, honestly, we could. I could sex parts myself, but on in Seattle, I keep saying in Seattle, but you said it, you said it, definitely for me. Big Clinton, we'll call him. Clinton, let's go Clinton. Clinton, what are you saying? I like, obviously, with comments in the first interview, it's all this kind of the same stuff. You think about it? It's all, it's all buzzwords. It's all our club, big club, like the manager, blah, blah, blah, blah. You could. These that I've read these interviews are a million times, but what, go back to your point, I always thought he was coming in to be random at the first team. I do think he needs an experience, because we need a left side instead of half. As good as I thought Ben Davies was towards the end of last season, I've not seen it enough from him to tell me he's good enough to be our start and left side instead of half. So what, and I do think when you are one next to him, because Colson's probably way, sure, it's no good enough for Ballygan's old. So I think we do need a right side. If you're Ballygan, you're fucking pretty weird, and they're Ballygan's old. I'd still rather have Ballygan starting most games in show. That's a definite conversation. But no, I hopefully does play because he seems, because he was with 19, he was still, he was in and about AC Milan with Mount Dini. Mount Dini is in and about there, and there's no better place yet when it comes to some power, Mount Dini, let's be honest here. So if he comes in, I hope, I hope the boys good. And I've seen clips of him. I've seen clips in, I hope, sort of read some reviews of him. And he does seem to be that, he does seem similar to Calvin Bassey in his style of play. So if he can be anything like Calvin Bassey was in the same season, then I think we've got a top set off in our hands. It was very athletic and powerful and heavy moves in how he runs. On the clips, a lot of them really focused on him bringing the ball out from defense. Which, if we're being honest, Calvin Bassey was mainly great. So that would be good if he has a ball points and a half, who does have the physicality behind him as well. Yes, it may not be perfect and it may still need, you know, kind of caressed and finessed with that same spot. On that end of the year, we'll not run for all, but he goes on to speak about just the experiences he's had there, 90s and 90s in Milan as well. And I think the last point on making it is, he was very well thought of it, as in Milan. And he was the houndest of the door. And he had the option to stay as in Milan, but he wanted to run play first time football. And I think the technical side of the game that he would have learned in Milan will be something we've probably no seen in the young defender in a long time. 'Cause you mentioned Calvin Bassey. Calvin Bassey was named on a technically gifted football in Milan. He was a very good source of the ball, but he was, what he was good at, big, big powerful runs where you could just, I mean, there was one game, as depression, I think it was zero, but like final. But he picked the ball by half a really, and he just ran in a straight line, and he got 38 in your books, and no one wanted to do any of any of them, because the speed is for the clarity and that kind of thing. So, Bassey, but Bassey, don't ask Calvin Bassey to pass the ball. He was never a good pass the ball, he was a good source of the ball, don't let him pass the ball. Like, I mean, like, Goldson, Goldson's always going to like, diagonal stretch, diagonal switch. Bassey, don't do that. So, if he's a better technical, better pass the ball, Calvin Bassey, then I probably won't be as like powerful and quick as Bassey. But if he can do those things well enough, and be sort of built, be a bit more well-rounded than Bassey was, and never run the ball stuff, and only be 19, then I think we've got a good player in our hands. Hopefully, hopefully it's good enough to be a starter. He was hoping. So, that will do us for today's show. As always, the last time I was going to show up is just, I've been pageable, be in the description, as he's training for the higher ups, and all proceeds from there, McMillan, Chancellor Support. So, Scott, how's the training going? Yeah, no, it might go well. I was saying to you before, come on last night, I've got a session today. The session today is in about three years. Then I'm going to have one tonight, and I've got a couple of one tomorrow, one Thursday. So, no, I'm looking. Now I go well, I went forward to it, getting better, getting quicker, and I'm enjoying it. Good onion. How far away from your donation goal are you? 50 quid or something. 50 quid. So, even if any of us must have been even to me at pound, or, you know, anything that can spare will go a long, long way, but now that's, you've done really well so far away that we're the fundraising and the training. So, keep up mate. Yeah, it's not sure, it's me, I do about four, three, four months now. Is that a big deal? There you go. So, young Scott might know what I'm going to acknowledge is, but he's a go-getter. He's up there, cracking on, doing these pods, and then going training after this. So, you know, that's hoping that you've yet. But always a pleasure having you on mate. And, I think Scott finds out I'll speak to you tomorrow, I believe. Yeah, I'm on tomorrow, yeah. Nice one, and thank you to everybody for listening. As always, give us a like, subscribe, follow, comment, let us know what you think in the pod, and we'll speak to you again tomorrow morning. Until then, take care. (Music)
