Go on here, give me a solo update. I hope you're all well, and you had a very decent weekend. Our weekend went past with a range of didn't they make a car crash of anything. Always a bonus after the last few weeks. And yeah, I hope you're enjoying the, if you're in trouble and they're wet. We better weather than we have had in previous weeks. There's no quite David Thomas in levels of, you know, like, having to stay indoors because he might kill you. He goes at great lengths to tell us how nice it is over in Germany. But now I hope you had a nice weekend all the same. So a fair bit of news slash stories to earn first since Scott and Dean spoke to you all in Friday morning. And let's start with the transfer of rumours. So first of all, Scott Wright is right with a move out of either of us. And Sheffield Wednesday are apparently interested in them. Sheffield Wednesday, also we're playing in the English Championship. Been there for a couple of years now. I think Josh went there as a solo there, hasn't he? And they apparently can't get him as one of the attacking options. So Rangers won't not be definitely the way when it comes to his role. They obviously, he was on the plane, he went, he went, he went. And he did the new facilities and have it in the last season. And he just decided that it wasn't for him. So Rangers won't be definitely the way they were. If there's a fee, it will be normal. And it's really just down there, whether the a club won't start right and start right once they go to set clubs. So I think this will be a bit less of a gamble for start right now in Turkey. He will always get the same wages he's on at Sheffield Wednesday. It's not a complete culture shock. He's not too far from home. It's not a completely different state of football either. And I do think he would be expecting to get a bit more game time in that middle of the championship side. So I'm not going to go any way too much on this, because he has been linked in championship before. He's been linked to several clubs over the last two, two, three times when he goes and he is still here. So we'll just wait and see how that one turns by us. But I think it makes sense for all parties of Sheffield Wednesday, are I'm interested in them? And what's in strawberry as a polarizing figure? He really is. I think there's a player in there. He's just, he can't do consistently for Rangers. I've said that time and time again, always take that David Paul quote, when he said in one pod. "The stroke right here, the swagger of the stroke, I feel they're not talking about an absolute world-class player." And I do agree with that. So I think if he can choose, find a club where it doesn't shrink under the size of the job, and then he'll do very, very well. And I think Sheffield Wednesday, I mean, I'm not a tiny club, but compared to Rangers, they are minimal, let's be honest. For the style of expectation, they'd be competing in the playoffs. So I think he would do well. For Rangers, watches really wouldn't get him off the beach, but that's what no expectation he'd get. And so money back, which is fair enough, because we can't make a profit in every player that we do sign. So hopefully, that's one does come in fruition. And he moves on and we can replace some worth some day. He's running out a wee bit more and going to be a bit more to the Rangers in their attacking sense. So there's a fair few stories from the Rangers website. I'll do what I talked to him about. Just one, I do want to stick away in terms of the first team and their interactions, I suppose, on the end of that. You may have seen it, Todd can well art it on Instagram again. So he posted the James Tavern, you know, a single highlight reel of the last season. And I think it was some of the moments of the best is yet to come a caption. And one band replied to perform on the pitch instead of Instagram, then. And Todd can well reply. Claps are from me playing a new weapon. And then the bell emoji indicating he's a bail end. No, I don't want to get too much in my high horse, because I know we all have different opinions on how players should act on social media and what they do. There is a last part of the fan base where I don't know what. We can all post what we want in social media. I'm like, well, that's cool. And I get that. And I do agree you live in my life. But I think it is part of that you can put what you want in social media as you put yourself out for praise and you put yourself out for criticism. Running up around your podcast. I know that all that too well. I don't know what you're expecting. Like, I really don't know what Todd can well suspect. And after a very disappointing season, and a season where he didn't really set the head of that, like, let's be honest, he has to be aware of the mood in the fan base. And James to have, Todd can well, he's not the only one here. James to have Neil, John wants some doing that as well. No, John wants some sort of way. But James to have Neil doing it as well. You need to be aware of the mood in the room. You need to be aware that the fans are like starved for over the title. And one week, there's no quite quench at first. And yeah, like, there's just streams to me that one of two things. A, they aren't aware of the expectation or the mood around the range of fan base at the moment. Or B, they do, but they just don't care. And, you know, he can post what he wants in social media. Your app's what we're right. But with that, it comes, you know, to be criticized. And so he's standing that way, one fan criticized them there. And it's just, the reason I mention it is stuff like this, when we talk about who will be here in the summer, as he will be promoting stale prayer. I don't know. Cremontist doesn't say me as somebody who's trying to put up with that kind of attitude of just being, I don't know, being a bad self-centered, I don't know how to say it, but yeah, if they don't count, well, or an annal of the patch, it's every time you see something small again. And that is small, like it's not a major thing, like I thought about, if it wasn't a pre-season, I probably wouldn't be told. But that's what I was being honest. I've got a new show, it fell. And that says minimum, but it's all the three minimum things that happen, we're talking about, well, which just, yeah, I don't think. I don't think here we are. And it's just been a long term, one minute away. Again, I know the listeners, you guys have different opinions in this. Some agree with me, some don't, and that's okay, that's fine. But on to other news then. So a fair few stories are what I touched on from the Rangers website. They were quite busy over the weekend. First of all, Jane Ross has signed a one-year extension for the women's team. So a fair three-year-old Jane Ross, she joined the club back in 2021 from Man United. And she's ready to go again for next year. So she was part of that team who won the first of all with title in 2022. She had a long, long injury, a really bad injury, five hundred and eight days. She was out for right up until December of last year. And then she came back to the club where I caught up sub-commills and ended up scrolling on our first came back, I think, against Motherville. So she's a very, very seasoned pro-Jane Ross. I know everybody was too keen to see her back in terms of the fans. I don't think she will be contributing too much next season on the patch. But I think when you hear Joe Porter speaking about her and you hear the younger players speak about her, I think Joe Porter's keeping her around to choose for the experience she's had. And probably liking it too, we're unbounding. When we're unbounding, we won't play the sexy games at a season next year. But he's really there to be a decent, reliable backup and to help the younger players in the less experienced players. So when Jane Ross is exactly same, I remember me and McCall was first interview with him with her and we were asked now about what you heard the show look up there. And she was like, well, everybody looks up to Jane Ross, Jane Ross with a career and she's had, she tells you do something, you just go do it, that was a word. So, you know, being well-represented in the national stage and playing at the top five year English football, she's done a fair bit. And her career, Jane Ross, even if she is winding down, maybe I'm being unfair, but you know, she has come to the end of her career, but she spoke to the RTV saying, I'm over the moon, I'm delighted to be standing my stay here at the club and I'm really happy here. Obviously, it's been a challenging couple of years for me personally for the injury, but I was happy to get back in a fetch last season and contribute to the team. And I'm going to fall to get a good pre-season under my belt this year and hopefully help the team again this season. So, productive Jane Ross and, you know, we've, we've still got a lot, very, very young team. So, as they mature, hopefully Jane Ross helps them mature as well and helps us be a wee bit more prolific up front this season. So, the rangers who out are, you know, a short snippet of an interview with Andres Alder, Alderink, sorry, Andres Alderink, the new assistant coach under Felipe Klemont. And it was quite an interesting, I don't know if you haven't got your own photographs. Now, Betsy says, he was speaking about joining rangers, first of all, and he said, I've been at Antpelt for two seasons and I was looking for a new challenge. I had a lot of time to look around and through contact. I had some better deal calls and meetings with the manager. It all starts with a club, the history club, and also there's a lot of Dutch people connected to rangers. Dick Adricat, Giovanni Van Braunkross, Ronald Dubur, Arthur Newman, and Fernando Ricksen. So, there's a lot of Dutch history and that was on my mind. Had a couple of calls we asked for Newman and after his career, he stayed in Glasgow for many years. So, he was very enthusiastic about a lot of things. He mentioned the European Games and how many fans aware of the stadiums and the atmosphere. And also, that the pressure is always here at the club. So, he was really positive about that. And Scotland, the football intensity is very strong, especially at rangers. So, that was important for me as well. I spoke with a manager about football, his vision, and his aims for the next couple of years. He told me a little bit about the staff, the club, and it was exciting. So, I'm happy to be here. So, I don't know, I'll be young, but it was like, yeah, there's only so much you can take. This season, Instacart has your back to school. As in, they've got your back to school lunch favorites, like snack packs and fresh fruit. And they've got your back to school supplies, like backpacks, binders, and pencils. And they've got your back when your kid casually tells you they have a huge school project to do tomorrow. Let's face it, we were all that kid. So, first, call your parents to say I'm sorry and then download the Instacart app to get delivery in as fast as 30 minutes all school year long. Get a $0 delivery fee with your first three orders while supplies last, minimum $10 in order, additional term supply. My dad works in B2B marketing. He came by my school for career day and said he was a big row, as man. Then he told everyone how much he loved calculating his return on ad spend. My friends still laugh at me to this day. Not everyone gets B2B, but with LinkedIn, you'll be able to reach people who do. Get a $100 credit on your next ad campaign. Go to linkedin.com/results to claim your credit. That's linkedin.com/results. Terms and conditions apply. Linkedin, the place to be, to be. From interviews with your own clubs media, but you do get a kind of undertone, I think, of certain things. And I really like that the message I'm getting across here is he'd done his homework before joining Rangers. He put in a lot of time, and he had a real grip thinking about it. Because Andrew's ordering his very well-thought-of in Belgium and Netherlands, and he would have had a lot of options either to go elsewhere as an assistant coach, or return in my B and B head of academy. It definitely seems because he's very well-thought-of for the study that I actually head of academy. So, the fact that he worked a new challenge and he worked for the great challenge, first of all, and then he'd done the diggin. And he had several meetings with the manager. He spoke to him and knew him to understand the club, the expectation, the reality of being at Rangers. I'm taking a lot of that. So, this isn't someone who grew up wanting to be a Rangers assistant manager. That's fine. We don't need all our background staff to be the Rangers men. We just need to balance, but this is somebody who has seen what's happening, what the challenges are, what they want to do, and wants to be a part of it. So, I'm taking a lot of positive activity from that. He spoke briefly on his journey so far, and he said, "When I was 34, I started coaching in quite a high level in amateur football, and from there on it kept on going and going. I've learned so much from other coaches, not always from the head coach, from other assistant coaches, youth coaches, but also from players." The training sessions on the picture are the most important thing in what I love in coaching. Preparing their exercises with colleagues, what the manager wants to see football wide, and try to help the players in developing the style of play. Or developing an individual player. I like that a lot. Watching the clips, but also in the football team, there's always a lot going on at home. Somebody's sick, somebody gets sad news. Someone gets a baby bomb to deal and handle with all these different kinds of things. It's also important. We're brought in some young players, very talented players, but they need to make the next step. So, when you see that they succeed in that, and you can also help them a little bit, gives you a lot of energy. So, he's trying to touch on that aspect of where I think he's special. He comes in developing individual players, and allowing young players to get that platform, and helping them take the next step. I don't need a role for all ground listeners. We know we have a massive issue. Rangers wouldn't do that. He's a very good track record of doing that. He actually has a hand on to help as well. And that's quite important. I think that's maybe why he was brought in. Maybe the missing length that we didn't have in the coaching staff. Because to me, Promont did say that, like, they've tried to prioritize getting young players in so far. And they went up and now they're not going to be experience. So, the young players will be brought in, and they say, like, "Oh, there's probably going to get a big money," and the next couple of days are going up bad. And then all these young boys stepping up as well. Robby Fraser, missing monsters, sending the neutrons out too. So, we do need these players to... I don't know, we need to help them make that next step. Because we, you know, academy has wasted. We can't just wait for an even pass, and they come along with us actually, you know. We're not right, but successful in that way. So, I won't fall to see what Andrey Sildering gets done at Rangels. And touching on the young players. Rangels did confirm that quite a few players have joined the full-time program in the professional development phase, joining up with The Under 18 side. So, Alexander Smith, Cameron Fernay, Adam McCallion, Cormack Christie, and Riddin McGewire have all signed the first professional contest until the summer of 2027. And they'll move into The Under 18s, headed up by Stephen Smith for next season. So, the professional development phase manager, David McCallum, he said, "We would like to welcome all the boys on the start of the exciting full-time journey here at Rangels." They'll now join up with The Under 18s report by Stephen Smith, and supported by a robust education program, which will provide the boys a building box, required for a long and hopefully successful professional career at modern, at a modern winning Rangels. It's an exciting, it's an exciting, proud time for the players and the families. The Australian program and staff have provided an excellent platform and the step into the professional development phase will ensure that the players continue to be challenged on and off the pitch, giving them the best chance to develop in an environment where progression is expected. So, excellent news and good to see that Rangels are still tying up the 16-year-olds, and they're, you know, seeing them for 50 years, very up until the 19th, Alexander Smith, where you may give me a call back to the news over the last couple of years, where a couple of months away, there's been interest from America and I'm interested in Arsenal from him, interest in quite a lot of English clubs and some clubs in NMLS2 to get him snapped up and make sure he's with Rangels in the form of the years. He may not be a Rangels player at one long term, but he may turn on the other lego more on Nathan Parterson. You'd rather be terms on Nathan Parterson, Rangels get money for them as opposed to the other lego more and the church goes when he's 15. So that's really, really good news. But again, this is only the beginning of it, making sure the players see halfway and they commit their future Rangels, but we need to give them that platform and help them develop the club in pace, but I just said about Andre, so the Rangels we need to do something different there. So good luck to all the boys who've just signed the first professional contract and hope to see you. Danheins for Rangels in the coming years. So the last story I will touch on, very, very nice story that I've seen on the Rangels website, the Rangels Charlie Foundation hosted the Scotland Cerebral Pals if it all team players and staff. So in April, Scotland Cerebral Pals if it all team, they competed in the National Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football World Championships and that is a mouthful. So, you know, the IAFC PF, I'm out with the acronym and that was in Saloon, Spain. So the World Championships for these teams and the Scotland team is, so what is this? This is for athletes who start off from Cerebral Palsy. So it required automatic brain injuries, and name is for them a perfect ball. And then the National Stage Wilson proven that confidence held from well-being of the players. So the Scotland team previous were made the final in 2022 and they were narrowly defeated by Columbia and they were going to go one better this year. So the Rangels Charlie Foundation donated £250 to help the team fund new training kits ahead of the tournament. And so they ended up winning the tournament this year. They got to the final and they ran out comfortable formal winners over Northern Ireland and upon returning the Rangels Charlie Foundation hosted some of the players and staff, as well as representatives of the Scottish Testability Sport for a special tour over the Albert Stadium. The players present were Dean Thornton and the top coach roller, Martin Heckman, who built along the championship trophy. So everyone at Rangels Charlie Foundation would like to congratulate the Scottish Cerebral Football team players coaches and staff on their victory. And they said today the Charlie Foundation has donated over £6.6 million in cash and clean support enabling others to support causes across the heart. So in this lifetime, £6.6 million Rangels fans and the Rangels Charlie Foundation have donated for a variety of different causes. It's amazing that we are well done to everybody involved if you've ever donated £100 or even £1 or you've ever done or supported an event. That's amazing. The stuff, I guess, it shouldn't go unnoticed, I think. We follow Rangels because we're off the ball, we're still club and there's so many things to go into that. But I think one thing we don't speak about enough is Rangels responsibility and impact on the local and white community and the Charlie Foundation really do drive that. This is why the software gets really as important for people with disability and white syllables. Together they're my platform, they're actually going, you know, they love football just as much as you and I. And so because they're disability, they've got that limited in how much they can get involved in that. So why is tournaments, I guess, it's really important to give people a platform just to be involved in the fines we take for granted and they arrive. So the Charlie Foundation put in any sort of support and that it's, you know, it may seem like small gestures with all these small gestures that there is in the Charlie Foundation do every week, every month. It really makes a massive difference and my only great way is when they'd be speaking about it more, it's not just the Charlie Foundation or what we've done, but the fans who are involved, you know, when they'd be sharing these new stories more, that should really be coming for the fans and the fans are involved. Like, well, a lot of people know that this is what's gone on. This is what we've done. This is how powerful the Rangers community can be because when we put our main system, we really are unstoppable. But no, well done to everybody involved and there's well done to the Rangers Charlie Foundation and, you know, supporting the Cerebral, Cerebral Palsy, Scottish football team and well done to the football team as well, winning the World Championships. So, folks, that will do me for today. So, just to show you what's been happening all in the pod, the Sunday transfer round up was held by Andy and Scott Young last night and they spoke about all the updates on the ends and outs so far and what should be happening this week. And for Patreon listeners and the folks in the YouTube member tier, the one from membership tiers, the two days is the gallows too. We now officially titled them. We're back on Saturday morning just speaking about the updates on all things going on at the club. And, you know, they were getting a bit poignant and thinking about how, what should we be thinking about for the future? So, putting our content available and we'll be back tomorrow morning, same time as always 9 a.m. with the daily news. So, until then, folks, have a lovely Monday and I'll speak to you again in the morning. Take care. Heycast powers the world's best podcast. Here's a show that we recommend.
