Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team if big wireless companies are allowed to raise prices due to inflation. They said yes. [Music] [Music] Hello, and welcome to the Sunday night transfer round up at the Gallon Fue. My name's Colin, and I'm always delighted to be joined by a man from a Deep South Mason. How are you doing? My friend. Yeah, well, good thanks Colin. Thanks for having us back on in a couple of weeks since we last had a transfer round up. So we're looking forward to this one. Yeah, obviously you were rather that last week so I thought by the next time me and Mason will speak, we'll have seven players out, 19 players in, or we may need to do a three-part for this. We just had other ideas. Also, there has been a wee bit of movement. Before we get into the who, what, why, and where, we spoke of it a time, just as your last time you and I were on. I think with that we were maybe talking about how air we should the the business be done. We're back in a three-season tomorrow, and we've got five wheels confirmed, if you include Lee on barregan. None are quite the marquee signings. How are you feeling about that in general? What do you think is enough for this stage of the bundle or should we do better? Look, in an ideal world, we get everyone in in the next two to three weeks, but just knowing that that's not going to happen deals take a long time. My worries is with the champions, the qualifiers now obviously added in. We won't be playing our eyebrows for at least six, seven weeks. That's added pressure, I think, for the players. So, I think that when I look at these signings, it's all well and good signing young, talented, sort of project, if you like, squad players, but we need some real quality coming into that style, and as you just said, I don't think we've got one yet. I don't think we've got one where I'm actually going. That really improves our style in 11. They need to start happening because that leadership group that we spoke about so often, I think that needs to change, and that's where I expect them to be. I won't say a bigger name, but more experienced clients with desperately needing those now as well. Yeah, I'm the same. I'm happy with the profile of players that we're coming in. So, we talk about the cyber hefty courtes, bad. All young players were first team experience with the exception of the cyber. So, what we are betting on these players improving as time goes on at Angels, but yeah, I don't think we've had the they don't start as coming in yet. I'm going to get them the benefit of it now and say that the euro is on, and we know there's a domino effect from the top down and the euros, and then the national tournament is always the way the top cops sign in. So, I will reserve, you know, get the touch walk out for the Irish World team and tell me, I would say mid July, because I think once we get to mid July, we're only two, three weeks away for the season start, and we can, if we're seeing, first game of the season is in the fall of August, we can start bringing you straight, because at the end of August, we need to get players ready for the start of the weekend, the Champions League qualifiers. Yeah, I think we'll see a sort of flurry of transfers all over Europe. I think after this week, really, because, you know, teams start getting knocked out of the tournament, and I think the longer that tournament goes on, I think we'll start progressing. The only problem is, I suppose, looking at it from our side, if there is anyone at the euros that we do have an eye on, not sure if there is, but these players haven't had a break yet, so that would worry me a little bit, just purely based on what we've got to do this season. We need players in straight away, but as I said, a player that's played 50 games last season, then he's away with his national team, and then, you know, he's going straight, it's some really kind of burnout, they will need a break, so that's another one to sort of look at, but this is where we're at at the moment, and every transfer we make is, we're asking all the same questions, so we need most of them to hit the ground one, and that's going to be extremely difficult. Yeah, I was asking, and I'm not I add a bit more detail on your thoughts on him, but, you know, you saw just a recap, for them, did it. That's my step. Colonel Barlin confirmed he's 21-year-old, he wrote it on 22 in August, he has maybe sex day appearances for the Aberdeen's first team since being his debut two-year-old, I didn't realise he'd been with his debut two-year-old, so I'm doing a year's sex day all the appearances, cutting much on numbost sex, sometimes in a neighborhood, I would profile more than the sex scene for the old school, that's like your holding mid-fielder, text-to-box for the Scottish home grow-on-quarter, but the fact that we're going to be in a development for you, I think just makes sense, Mason. Yeah, no brainer, no brainer, I think it was one that we've been, I feel like we've been in the boobs since started, December really, since the rumor started to begin that he wasn't going to sign a new contract at Aberdeen, so it's one that sort of rumbled on and on and on, but yeah, I'd say these are the type of signs that we should be snapping up, as I said, depending on the fee, low-risk, Scottish, good age, I think he's got plenty of development left in it, can't say I've watched every, every Aberdeen game he's played, he'll obviously come into the team quite, quite a lot more once Robson left, and I think the two games where I can say, I love you watching them, was they drew against that week, February, March time, at Potoldry, and I thought he was very good, and then watched him in the Scottish Cup soon final, and then again, I thought yeah, a really good game. As you say, that number six role, he plays, but one thing I love about Robson, sort of him, is he's someone that he goes and wins the ball back very quickly, and even at times, when he gets on the ball, he's not someone that slows things down. Sometimes he tries to play too quickly, and he ends up losing possession, but I think with the right coaching, he's tenacious, he's actually quite quick on the ground as well, so I think as I said, plenty of development, I think this one would surprise a few, because I've seen a few comments, a few comments, he's not good enough, again, another sort of squad player, if you like, which I understand, but I do think with this sort of ability, he's got an development that you can have, I think it could be a really, really good sign for us over the few years, and I'm not to say, we've got in there, but English and Italian Cup throughout during the world, so I think that's a good sign. Yeah, I think he's a really decent sign in, he's no good enough, but I think he improves the squad, I don't know if he improves the first time I've been straight away, so obviously, Sundays over the summer will be pre-recorded and the Sunday shows, so I'll be tuning in on the live stream to see the comments, so that's part. Connor Baran at his best last season wasn't better than John won some of his best last season, I don't think. I think there's an argument for who's more consistent, but if we're looking for the right for like replacement, if Baran's to replace John won some, I don't think we have the upgrade that we need, we need better, I think we do, I think if you look at Baran vs Jack, I swear to be honest, we can maybe argue that he doesn't upgrade there, but I think as he improves your midfield options, we still need better in the midfield to the start of this season, thank you. No, you're actually a spoken colleague, I think the obvious one is to say, I remember playing as Jack because it's quite a quote up from Aberdeen, but let's not forget, Connor Baran has fit most of the season last year for Aberdeen, so straight away, that's an upgrade really on what we've had of Ryan Jack, because Ryan Jack was never fit for us, but you're actually just following that, that's what the number six role needs to be, how better John Lynch, I totally know what you're saying, by the way. By the way, yes, John wants some, I don't want to see again for two years, I feel like, I don't know, I feel like he's cheating on me, you know I'm a big fan, like just the way he ended that season, but we can't take away that John wants to come on his peak was the best midfielder there, but last season as she was, she's standing on up, so I'm just getting that caveat out of there. No, that's been happening yet, from Lynchroom, from when the manager came in, it's probably January time, I'd agree with that, you know, if you had to pick one midfield group, the first on the team sheet, you would have picked on it as a fair third point, but the midfield still worries me, Colin, even going to add in Baron and Diem Ande, who I think will after, you know, preseason will be, will be a lot better to judge, because I thought that he started really well before us when he come in, but you know, he was someone that didn't play a lot before that, and I think we see that with injury, got kind of these form went a little bit, and so I think I think a really good preseason for him, and I thought he was excellent in the stretch club final, who was our best player on the day, but so, you know, it's age, I think that's going to be everyone, but still, still looking at this midfield and, and I've been one that has been going on about this field for years and years, and still missing a couple, I would say too, I still don't know if we'll get to it, but I still think it's missing too real, sort of quality players that can take us to that next level. So, if we're thinking about the midfield options, then we'll burden Diem Ande, as you say, Niko Arashian, and I'm starting there. I'm here in the Royal Talk Warrior, I thought that will, if you're really starting a stretch, you've got Janis Haji, who's an option, then you're working there, like it's a cool beginning. Yeah, you're right, you're fine, we need to, we're normally need to, we're doing the, like, awarded, signed, and now, as much as I'm going, I'm going to use the answer for this year. What type of midfield are you going for, do you, why so, I agree, we need to, is that too combative number six, is it too dynamic, number eight, like, what you're working for here? I'd like a number six, one number six that's, you know, that's aggressive, a little bit more experienced, someone that hates this happens, someone that can play that Steve Davis role for us, you know, that's so hard to find, by the way, but someone that can just pick out passes and sort of lead the midfield, if you like, and which I think we've lacked for a long, long time, and then, and then I want a dynamic, box to box, number eight, that, you know, can chip in with a goal for us, someone that can score with five goals from the field will be great. So, how to find, again, with our budget, but I really feel that's what we need. If it was down to me, Colin, I'd drop that number ten position, I think the last three managers have tried it, and I don't think it's worth, I think you go to two number eight and one number six, and you get, you know, your wire pliers and you send it forward, they're the ones that hit your numbers, as I said, one thing midfield is chiping in, but you win the midfields in our league, I think it's quite straightforward. I think if you win the midfield battle with the quality we've got within the game, and two of them as a range is found, I'll watch this, and our midfields not existed, and that's why we haven't won enough in my opinion over the last few years with the midfields, so I'm going to power it up. So, that's the big one that's summer for me. Yeah, I would happily sacrifice some of the creative qualities this transfer window to get stability, and I've said that a couple of times, I think, meditate about the foundation. We need to be athletic, physical, hard to be. So, that means prioritising the midfield generals as opposed to the fair players. We've hit a lot of fair players over the last 18 months, which is having to be able to do it consistently. So, I think we need to just take the hat for that, and we need to accept that players like Todd Cameron or Janice RJ, they might be the right player just at the wrong time, and, you know, for Todd Cameron, for example, where that leaves him, I don't know, but we need to start winning the midfield battles, because, I don't know, we look at Harry, Harry Donato, and I hate that, but I go and say go back to it under Jared, but that's the last time we go, where we were in the region, that's the last time we actually built something for Scratch. We did start with that midfield three, not far from here, it was, like, cool about it, first week, Ryan, Jack, Scott, our field, and Scott, our field was your forward-thinking midfielder, but it wasn't very clear if he was competitive. Eventually, that midfield transition, where the two are out, someone like a people, they go and play football, like, but we need to transition in that, we can't just, we can't just because we won't know what happened, doesn't mean it will happen, so we're, like, in a time of change, when there's going to be so much change in the team, something has to give, when they be realized it, we won't get everything that season. You made a really good point there, calling on a couple of things on Todd Campbell and saying maybe the right player at the wrong time, and I actually said this when we signed Todd Campbell, there's definitely a talent player there, but I think for Todd Campbell to be a success for us, I think we need a foundation of midfielders that Campbell becomes a player that we don't have to rely on, because that's, for me, that's what Todd Campbell is. I think if he, I think we've seen that he's a player that we have to rely on, which rugby. I think if you've got a player that we can bring him in and certain games and you've got other players that can step up to the plate, I think Todd Campbell's had to do the final, but I said that won't be signed in, so I think that is a case of maybe right player one time, and I think injury is a big one for Haji. I wasn't, I wasn't the biggest fan before that, and obviously we need a joke about that sort of previously, but I just don't see, I just seem as a luxury. And again, we've got to do, we can't afford to carry into a luxury flat at the moment, that must be, that to be brutally on it, so if there's a couple of million we can make happy, and it's Haji, and Todd Campbell, but we can get proof on it, no problem. Yeah, I totally agree, and you know what my Haji and Haji fanboy, but we choose, it's not what we need to improve the, the, the first of all, in order towards right now, and when I say that, within the realms of reality, because it'd be brilliant to have 35 players who you might never need to use for, like 20-odd games and then bring them in, football doesn't know what we're going to get, we know we need this world of 20-odd players, we don't have unlimited money, we're not Chelsea, so we need to make tough decisions as well as start firing for the future, so if I can stand to resign a young Haji going and, you know, Todd Campbell, I can't understand if he does move on, along with the ice awardings as well, by the way, 5 million pounds of awardings, so I thought the paper's up here, but bullshit us man, but did you see what's wrong with yourself? Yeah, that's, that's, that's, listen, if we got quite a bit of Tom Lawrence, then what a deal right is, now it's never going to happen, 500 grand, I think there's Mr Zero on that, and I, I think the next one. Yeah, I think they've put like, I caught man and said, yeah, I couldn't feel stop me, it's, um, bizarre, and just, just on that, like, it was like, I was talking about yesterday, I brought my dad up, and I actually said, we've just named all them mid-filters, and then we've said, you know, we'd probably agree that the Tom Lawrence, Curing Dow, young Haji, and if they've been coming for Todd Campbell, we'd all say, okay, no problem, but being realistic, we can't sell everyone, it's not, it's not going to happen, so, out of them, sort of players, which one or two would you be okay with us, sort of keeping? The easy, easy ones for Todd Campbell, because as much as the problem I watch, really, player, he's trying to be, he's the only one that's trying to be, so he's the one that definitely would be okay with keeping, and I'll be honest, like, I just need to be careful with my face, and yeah, I want to keep Todd Campbell, but I don't know if the manager sees him as a priority, and if it's moving Todd Campbell all into bringing that foundation, we'll talk to the mid-filters, when they get a foundation for our defense as well, Mason, like, that's the volume party, this summer window, every area, but I'll keep on needs attention, so it's a big ass, and something has to give, so Todd Campbell, I would be inclined to keep young Haji over keeping the role, and Todd Morgan's, because the third of them lack mobility, young Haji, I think, has a record of doing it in the past, and he has a better set of value, so in a year's time, so I think he and Doug and Todd Morgan are rapidly decreasing, young Haji's still an age where he can go and get a decent deal, and a few years' time, and he's wrote a bad name in Eastern Europe, that's never right right away, just because of who he is, so I don't see, I don't see having young Haji instead of Todd Morgan talking to as a gamble, I think it's like for like... Yeah, no, that's fair. No, I hardly ask, because just trying to sort of be realistic with it, and here and now, the contract, he's given a three-year contract, good money, I think he's here next season, to be honest, I don't see anyone coming in and giving us a fee, and you pay any wages, so I'm wanting to go, and obviously he's a left-sided, natural left-sided, so I'm going to feel that which we've only got the amount, so unless we go and bring in another one, yeah, I think that's the only worry, I think there will be suitors for canwell, Haji, and any of the Lawrence, I think, clubs in the championship would probably, just as successful Tom Lawrence has been in the championship, but I think here and now, unless we can learn, it's going to be really hard to sort of get rid of him. And we forget, like, getting those right on 27 in October, I keep on putting them in the same bracket, it's Tom Lawrence, like, I'll say the theory, well, but there's an argument to say, like, he and though may have his best years ahead of him, again, that's a very fair argument based on evidence, but you know, that may be something when we're thought about being pragmatic and realistic as, you know, who's right to come in for them, they have to, people will come in for Lawrence and Haji, so here they will might just be something that we need to go away. I'm working on his injury record, so he had, he was out for 90 days in 2020 for an ankle surgery and knowledge, and it didn't have any injuries up until we came in ranges after that, and so I don't know, but it's just been unlucky, is he an injury prone player or is he just worried about injury? I mean, that's- Well, I'll be honest with you, I'm not sure what you're looking at there, but I remember the rumours of him joining us here and now, and I remember listening to a couple of knowledge, sort of podcasting, and looking onto Twitter and they all were moaning about how injury prone is, even when he was at Evan, I think he coming through, I think he apparently, you know, had some real good games and then all of a sudden he's injured and out for a few weeks, that even at the time, then they were frustrated with, so just sort of going by that, and then, you know, Michael Bill decides to give him a free year, a free year contract, but we've actually seen that without a season. Do you remember the level of game of the Christmas where we would really like, and he could be able to come in, score it after two minutes, I thought, yeah, a really good game, and then you're going, right, go on and go and kick on after this now, and then he's injured, so the game on the Wednesday night, then we didn't know, so that's been his sort of story with us, and I just don't see a change. So, I should say I took him, like, a few times, film up, but I think you do get a bit of feeling from the fans and people who fall over to every week, so thank God, that's a fair argument, Mason, and, you know, choose to finish up, and even though then you've made a good point, we have seen glimpses of him playing well, and I've seen him come out in physical, under Claremont, and I do think Claremont finances him, right, but again, he or Claremont can't fall into the trap that the previous managers have done well, relying on players who are going to let you down, whether that's ability, form, or injury, so we do need to be ruthless, but, no, I think, there's going to be an element in this same conversation with the leaders, and when we're going to talk a little bit from three years, we're going to have to keep players that we don't want to keep because we can't get rid of everybody, so Igammani is going to be the next one announced, and I think Han Han, who won last night, is trying to be a Monday announcement, so it was good. Obviously, Osra Cortes, we've got Rob Top, Igammani is the only command. The options we have out with that are Raven, Mito, and Stroll, right, there's no update on what's happening, we're up to our Simma, we've been remod way, some of our other boys later, there's an okra family, if it's a farfica, a cab a day from Bayern Munich, but none of them all came in fruition yet, so on the wide areas, we're very very like, I think, because Mito, great for 20 minutes a game, as soon as you start, be better after me in the left wing, Scrawl, right, we all know, this is our worrying area, so when we're talking, we're getting creative players, and like, do we try and get creative in the midfield and study that number 10, Mason, like, what's your thoughts in Hobart shape and up here? Do you know what, I was really, yesterday, watching the Euros, I was like, "I just want Rangers back now, I'm ready, the Rangers back," and then, smiling, podcast talk about Rangers, lovely, and you've just mentioned Scott Rat, still going to be here in a season, and you've just absolutely ruined it for me, so thanks for that. No, in all seriousness, just read it out then, then wide options is giving me the fear a little bit, and if we are going to drop that number 10 position, which I want us to learn, I'm really interested to see what Clement does, because this is sort of a blank canvas for me now, because there's no more excuses, you know, noise players, etc, etc, he's building us a squad, and they're going to get a preseason to get a system in place, etc, so the wide areas are really, really worrying me, and even the signings of Igamani, who I think is going to be a number nine, and he's a striker who has played out, I'll say too long, that's a bit of a switch, talks a bit about him being in the wide area. Yeah, but again, someone that, you know, it's good having players that are versatile, and we spoke about that in the last part, and how important that is, so no problem there, and I think he looks like a good talent, again, I've had watching players on YouTube and making a sort of decision on it, so I'd be interested to see if I say that, but it looks feasible quick, so, so no problem, but yeah, the wide areas, I mean, Antonio, not for me, and he'd been one that again, I think he'll be in next season, but I'd be looking to move on as well. Ross McClellan was an interesting one over the course of last year, where I think he'll grow a really hard time for the range of support, and... He's, like, he's got a long way to go to be a regular range. But I think we've seen the potential, and I think we've seen him improve through over the course of the season. And ultimately, he contributed. Yeah, his stats might not have been wonderful, but, you know, a handful of goals, handful of assists while really touching up on his defensive side. But again, what you had to do a lot of just with the way a range a lot of time, maybe chasing shadows just the way we were, playing last year. I wouldn't mind him as one of the options, like, if he can, if we go in with a quartet and one side, you know, some day, like, same of the other side, and then, I don't know, your, your backup options, or maybe the tone, or my cause, and someday, like, Igamana, who can come in when we need that, I wouldn't be too upset. No, no, no, no, just, just as I said that there, I forgot about, um, Oscar Cortes as well to be fair, and just completely forgot. But yeah, I think he's coming into play one of the sides, and there's, there's one, and we definitely need another one. Instead, a catabyte as well, which we live in, I see him as still, um, as a sort of backup, um, development, play out with, you know, we need that, but I want to start, or in that, um, and I don't know what's because I'm calling, I agree, I agree, I think some of the criticisms have been hard. Um, I feel that I say this with every bad going into the next season, but big preseason for it as well. Um, I think you're right, it needs to improve on his defensive side. I think he needs to get in the gym as well. I think, I think, but I think there is a planet. I, I do, I do genuinely believe he's got something, I think it was games last season where we needed a spark, and it wasn't coming from the senior players, and he actually bought it. So, um, 100% blood to see him give him more of a chance. And, and if you're asking me, you know, again, Scott Wright is going to pee their next season. I want Boston Crossman Crossman to come on and get the opportunity before him every time. So, um, we still need a proper wrapping and stuff, because I think Cortez will plan on that. So, um, that would be the one to watch. I think, I think surely the manager's looking at him, surely thinking we, yeah, we need to kind of sign a, a wrapping and it's ready to go and hit the ground, right? Do you think I've done the same as I will be adding just by the next year? No. I, I don't see it, but I don't see it. I don't see it. I think, I think obviously, um, Brian, I've got, got a new manager now. He's going to want to look at all these players, um, preseason. And I think it's going to, if we do, is it going to be late? The money involved of SEMA, um, I think it's going to be probably a little bit too expensive, and to be honest, I don't know about, I liked SEMA. I did like, I've got to be honest, did like him before his injury, but I want to make, you know, again, people make this free, but I want plans in. I don't want us to be waiting on Brian till, till the last couple of weeks, so we don't want us to then get the sword. Yeah, I know what you mean. Um, and one hand, I'm happy to wait until July, until we get the key first team players. And because I think that's realistic, um, I'm not, I'm not happy to wait until the last day of the window for these players. So it's maybe an easy comparison because it was on the wall and then we'll go to time by them, but right in the way that worked out, we need, we kind of went up to our SEMA, run like a F. It's going to be going that way. I think when it okay elsewhere, just because the start of the season is going to be so important, especially when, but we've, we've already got carnage run on with the stadium. Um, so we need to be settled as quickly as we can, particularly for the champions, the champions we call fails are huge. We need to throw everything in the kitchen, St Gata. Um, as far as I'm concerned, um, Collins, that might championly qualification might be the key for us to go inside and someone like SEMA. That might be, then might be money. I think it will be against money. More money made available to the manager if we get champions in football. So that, you know, that will come into play as well. But I think anything, anybody we've seen because the Champions Week football should be an addition. What I don't know is, remember, Jared, we, we moved, um, over to Malmo. Malmo. Yeah. Malmo. Sorry. Well, you should tell the board we're holding off the way qualified for Champions Week to invest in the squad. And because we hadn't invested in this world area, we weren't good enough to qualify for the Champions Week. We need to get whatever business is growing to be. We need to get that done early and then we add debt and additional quality, um, where any Champions League money we get. That's my opinion. Uh, I don't, I don't know why do you have a different show or four? I'm not being too naive. No, no, it's fine. You're absolutely fine. I still hold the grudge for Jared. I'm not for leaving, but Malmo still leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I don't think we were ready. But to be fair, you've just made a good point there, we needed it. But it's always difficult with that one because we, we've got back to it all the time, but we should have sold as well before Malmo should have invested. And then we're not with a bad money to go and to go and get, get in place. So it's, it's a bit like for that. But, um, no, yeah, we can't, we can't be left. I'm ready for these, these charities. There's, there's no excuses for that. Um, but just, just don't see my calling. How much money would you actually be prepared to pay for? I, if we can, I wouldn't be unhappy if we paid seven million for them. Um, but wait, and I think I'm backing that up where he's contribution nation. Um, this isn't, uh, this isn't a seven million pound on, on loan, right? Um, and that's just, that's me looking at that in isolation. Um, so we got six single film last year. Um, how many assists film like that? I know that Abdullah Sima is 23 year old. We signed seven million pound. If we manage him correctly and we sell him at the right time, we'll go and get more than that back. He can do it in Europe. He can do it in the league as well. It's how often we've seen players who turn it on in Europe and don't do it in the ego vice versa. Having said that, back to the point of the field rebuild, um, I think we need that another striker then as well. Um, so it's hard to, it really depends on how much money we're spending elsewhere, uh, because we don't have unlimited money. I think, yeah, the most one that we got to spend the 12 million pounds and fees this season at absolute match as most of that are going up that same, uh, I don't quite know. So there may be somebody that we get a regular one year and who's not up that same and then if we qualify for champs, we get them in. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's a difficult one. You're absolutely fine. Maybe I'm going to be a little bit half-seventy, but I'm just, just thinking about these four performances before, before the injury in January. Um, and it's for some big goals for us and some really good goals. Um, so maybe I think I'm going to be left as well. But again, you know, I know Brian is going to want good money. It's going to be more than three, four million. So yeah, we'll just have to sort away and see that one. I'd be happy for him to come back, but again, it depends on our budget and probably the big one. It depends who we get out of or what kind of funds we make available for. Yeah. That's what we've been on the Oakland's, um, uh, like, I want to get your thoughts on the cycles. So a demand is coming in. He's a natural, uh, forward, uh, psycho, sorry, who can play either side or on the wing. So I think we both agree he is no coming in. They start over the game of the season. We have the Nigerian nightmare, the cereal vessels that were there. And the Nilo was being, uh, shown his crops on Instagram that he's actually cutting a bono. So he's right, be ready. He's right, be back for three season, which is excellent. I'm a big fan of the Nilo. I really like the glimpses that I've seen last year. Um, I'm kind of lightning him to Oscar Cortez where we've seen what he can do, which is need to make sure that they get injured. Um, do you see the Nilo and vessels both been here next season? Um, hopefully not this is, um, I think we spoke about, you know, a couple of weeks ago and I see the clip and I see us. I think we both got quite a lot of criticism. I think the question was asked, was he worth the money? Um, and we both said, no, because he'd been injured with season, but I agree with you, Colin, that this time with the Nilo, I like that. Um, I think it's been a really difficult season for again, another one with big preseason, but I think he offers, I think, I think some of our best performances on the Claremont Nilo, when we went on the run, I thought the Nilo was excellent. He missed a few good chances by the way, but, um, he's definitely got something. He's a clever player. He's quick and very good in the air for our small years. Um, so I'm excited to see him back available, you know, in the team. Um, and, and, you know, I'll be interested to see what he does. As for vessels, I'll be doing a weekend to try and get our money back on Colin. I'm sorry. If we're going to bring in another striker as well, I've seen people say vessels would be a good squad player. These wages, isn't, isn't a squad player, wages, we've got, we've got, this is another thing, we've got to get that wage going to a much better position and keep in serial vessels as, as number two or three striker. Um, on a wages on, you know, no, no, that's kind of, that's kind of get the money back on him, this can get a younger, um, you know, quicker, stronger, more clinical. Uh, number nine, I think we'll be buying more successful if we can do that. So, yeah, again, might be harsh on them. This does have some, some fanboys, but it's not for me. I think you will be hard to get, um, our money back on them. It's that whole anecdote of if we don't want them, nobody's going to be lining up to outbid each other for them, like you need to remember, like it's players only go for high money when they're doing really well. And I, I don't have the hard one because in one hand, um, it got 20 or goals last season, in another hand, they should have got 50. So, um, I, I don't see as yet in the money back from, I find somebody would come in for money, uh, or for maybe I've got a million for them, uh, because it, it, it, you know, 20 or goals that can be snuffed out, um, and quite a purringer side. Um, but I don't see as yet the, the four or million back. Um, on the, on the cycles and so we both agree that vessels grows, we'd like to see the narrow what profile a striker comes in them because the narrow was signed on high wages, did to be your main man. Um, I do still like to think we get this marquee type circle. Romani, I'm not saying it's there for going to be Romani about that profile. I think we need to get some day in TBLA for like replay, it's been for serial dancers who choose all offers more in an all round sense. Yeah, I really like the look of Romani, uh, call it again, just going off of, um, YouTube something that, that I've learned my lesson time and time again, uh, I'm doing that by, um, younger, clinical, good in the air, I think he's six or two as well. Um, but it can hold, I think the frustrating to me with this is, is see for his size. I think he's so easily pushed off the ball. Yeah, he's, he's not starting at all. No, and, and, and I want a number like a guess and hold, hold that or what? Cause, cause most of the times it's what, and we play a way, especially like, or even, even I've got, we're trying to get three center halves and then we're having one strike up there. And, and that would be my only little criticism of Benito as well. And I remember his plan up at Potoldry and he played the line for us and we ended up dropping points and I thought their center halves helped with him really, really easily. Um, so I'd like to see that number nine, whoever it is, come in, that physical, capable, um, to go leave the line, but then I'd like at times, and you know, to go and play off of that number nine. Cause I think that's what he can do. I, I, I think he's someone that could potentially be like a second strike, I feel like I actually see more as that, um, than, than, than a number nine. Someone that can play off, cause I think he's really played off. And so that, that needs to be an option for us. Um, and then what do you think, Collin, do you think even if that's his goal, I still think the clubhouse size, the amount of, the competitions we're in, the amount of games we've got playing, I still think we should have four strikers. Yes. I think, uh, I mean, that's your answer. Um, I, um, but not all four have to be, you know, established cycles and, uh, you know, and not prime. Um, if we really start this season with the Nilo Ramani, Igermani and let's say example, a Kappa diet or even a Zacho of waste, right? Okay. So the, because the cycles, they should go and pick an order. Let's be honest, but the regardless where you are on the pick an order, you should be able to contribute. Um, so, you know, you have your main two who battle out and then you have your fall them forth, who come in, give them a lift, come off for the last 30 minutes, contribute here and there. I, I wouldn't be upset if the, if the fourth was like a Zacho of waste or, you know, I forgot what I'm going to follow back. Yeah. So we do need four cycles unless that fourth cycle can be somebody who jumps up from the beating has to be somebody who's in with the first team every day. Um, I recognize first team player. Yes, it will have limited game time. That's why I'm saying it's probably the, I am boy that we bring in way potential or, you know, but we, we don't need to work too far back to look at when we had the rarest roof at in and DIFL, her old, her old-school goals. I find the world scrawn one was at in winning goals for somebody who barely played like that, that's excellent. So yeah, um, totally agree with you there, Mason. I would actually, I don't think it's going to happen. I don't think it's going to happen. What I would like us to do now is go and sign, get soldises and then sign someone like, um, um, Romani, age-wise, profile-wise, with a decent fee, and then look up for our full striker. Totally agree. Lovely. So I'd like to see him in the selection, and I've been playing out on the right of a lot as well before he's injury. I would like to kind of get like an experience, um, like, I don't want to say, like, I don't want to say it, like, I don't mind the phone because there's not any, there's not any domain that follows that there, but someone that's coming to the end, but just gives that experience, um, to come in, I would be ideal for me. And I can't, I'm having a genuine body. I, I love that. Free. Jamie, every, every season knows I, not, not even ever see that. Every six months, as a Jamie Valdi, they have been followed for, but I like, um, maybe he's about to hyper over, but see the phone had that gentleman type, like, curious, someday, like, uh, someday who can come in and help young girls will say, be, be a good asset Monday, Friday, when we're training, and be a good professional. I wouldn't be against that at all, Mason. Do, do I feel, remember, do I feel coming in as well on the Smith, when we had, we had Coo's, um, boyed, made up, and I think Josh was, he was, he was 33, 34, but he was, he was getting on, but really good sign for us, you know, for that, for that season. So, um, that, that would be my, my preference, um, because, you know, we're signing a lot again, this is a big one, we're signing a lot of young players, which still need experience in there. And I think that's striking the part, and when I, when I look at this last season, there's a bunch of many experience players to help the young boys come in. No, no, that's an interesting take on. And again, like, I'd be happy, happy with that. I've like, but it's, it's not just an isolation, it's in the context. So, for going in one young Seiko, one Seiko in the mode of edge and towards his peak, and then an older head, and then yeah, it's a good balance. Um, just quickly before we finish up then, um, we said we would write a touch on James Tavernier. Um, obviously, you know, I'm, I'm not really harsh. Um, the news we broke on Wednesday, I'm still standing by it. It's going to happen. He's off. Um, come at me, bro, a few disagree. Um, but, I know you, you're pretty confident he's got to go as well. Um, where does this leave the right back position? When we spoke of the midfield, that purposefully left out does your sailing because I think he's an option that can fell in a midfield. It's not an actual midfielder. And we should be playing players of possession, through necessity, not choice. And I wouldn't see him in the right back position next year. Uh, with, I don't know if it's going to be Adam Devain or maybe someday else, power now from, but we need two reasonable options to lead back. I can do just still moving our first choice. What, what's your take on it? Um, I think, I think Sterling needs to be in that, that of the next season. I need to write back. So I would like to see Sterling make that his own. Um, from, from the games that we watched starting last season and done a job for us up throughout the page, and he's done a really good job in midfield. He's someone that every time we watch him, he needs to be in our team week in week out. Now, um, I think some of the, you know, the criticism of tab, tab over the last couple of weeks have been, you know, hard, but at the same time, he is ranked as captain. And he hasn't, you know, I mean, I think it's been really important to bedmarch. And I think the time's right now to say thank you for, for the service. And we need to go down a different route. And do John Sterling's not going to come in and get the numbers that tab did right back. That's just not going to happen. But I'm okay with that as long as offensively, we're more settled in that right back area. In the big games, I need the select games, they're not targeting our right back, the Sterling will be the one that, that deals with without threat. And the numbers go, I think the big ones for me, when it's happening, this squad or the squad last season, when the chips are down and they looked, I'll wrap back to dig us out of a whole time and time again, that has got to stop. And I think we'd have a near going, that will, it will have to stop. The numbers have to come from further up the pitch. Um, because any successful team that wins trophy after trophy, they're not relying on their full backs to win them again. They're relying on their number nine and their, their number nine. So I think, I think now's the time, and I'd like to see Sterling make that, make that his own. Yeah, I will be sad to see Jim Salvin go, um, like, I'm gonna write a change watching with that. I think, if he was staying, he could have contributed next season. But I don't think he should have been the first choice read back. I think, but I think Amanda would say that he couldn't offer something, um, but I don't know if we're still in, but not it. I think it's calling in time, it'll be good to don't have yet. I think, I think, um, we'll fully appreciate what we got from, from our right back over time. But right now, it's time. Yeah, I think you meet such a good point on, on, um, fighting the team. And I think, um, I do think he does more as a captain than what he gets credit for, put it over here, like, and, uh, you know, down the scenes, what we don't see day to day, I think you're all doing more, but the team need to stop relying on one person, then the team doing need to start paying accountability. It's been like, I've got a couple of years, they revert to type, when they don't know what to do, give the body James to have near interest, put the pressure on him, he'll go and do something. So credit it to have that easy stuff at a time and time again. I think, you guess, uh, criticism for those side with forgetting all the crazy that. Um, but bringing it back to the team, the team need to weigh on that when the chips are down, everybody has to step up. And I find taking away the crutch that, you know, it's driving me across one, they'll have to, they'll have to do it, or they won't be in just, we'll run forward. Yeah. And that's, yeah, that's it. And, um, and it's been how many times do we want him down or, you know, needed a goal and you watch the image, they hold it out to having it every time down that right side, put a good quality go in or, you know, have a shot or, you know, it's, it's all, you know, free kick and relying on him to put on him first. Um, it is, it is time and time again. And, and, and, and, and I do, and then when it doesn't work out and it doesn't put a good boy in and it doesn't get an assist and it doesn't pop up the goal. As the Rangers captain, he gets, he gets criticism. Um, but, you know, again, on the other hand, I can't really defend these performances towards the later end of the season there. I thought he was, he was actually shocking it. And I was actually pro-rangers captain that, you know, the old firm guys puts a player in this plan, moving himself and sort of scared, he looked, he looked right on them. And especially that cup iron with me, that was, that was really tough. And then I think that all he'll do, I think if he is there next season, I think he'll just, I think he'll, he'll damage his reputation. And, and only times we see him players do that stay for two, kind of goal to the start as well. He's another one. Stay still, and he's, he's damaged his, his reputation. I think we make a look. Thank you. Like, I'll be forever grateful that we make a lot of stays when he did and became the Rangers captain, when he did. Don't give it on, yes, he was in high wage and stuff. But, we make a lot, doesn't he get the plays for being a top goal sort of through the World Divisions. And it's easy to say play against farmers, but somebody had to do it. We needed players to stay. And at a time when we were absolutely shambles off the pitch. But remember, his last season, I was with a game beat and he, he played it through a pass, I think it was and the team scrolled. And then after kick off the ball, we played back to him in the room, one road stand where I was sitting, we're booing him. And for that, I can't believe we're booing the Rangers captain. And, you know, Lee McCall just stayed absolutely one season too many. I wouldn't want to say that, Hampti James, to have me, I think he's deservedly a Hall of Famer. And I think he's already, you know, got his critics. So, I find this as a time a goal. And, yeah, it's, we forget it's, people were able to, James, to have me, how many trophies he's won, but one captain, one man, doesn't even win all the trophies. That's no, if we base, if we base trophy, Hall, or if we base captain success against trophy, Hall, then we've got to say, well, bad if Elderson was better than John Greg, like, is that what we're saying? Like, I'm not saying he has no, but we can't just, we can't just label that as a one mark for the success. But I think if we look at how many challenges Taevs had to overcome, the championship, all those jobs against Salty, when we won the Red Day, compete with them, to go in one in a week, to then go back and, like, always in the Euro public final, it's been a lot of setbacks, and there's only so many, so many you can do. So, now, I think we both agree it's, it's, it's the right time for me to move on. It is, it's quite, I think, don't, don't, a big one to come on, but don't half ask this rebuild. It needs to be a proper rebuild, so don't half ask it, and don't make the same mistake that the previous two managers have made, we're thinking, Colton as well, no, these two complete my leaves, again, next season, and we'll be all right. No, no, no, no, no, let's, let's kind of do it now, let's kind of do something we should have probably done a couple of years ago, and, and yeah, and yeah, and I feel they will be part of me, that would be sad seeing them go. There will be because, again, you know, it's, you know, some of these performances, you know, I think that your opponent especially, he was, he was one of the best players in the tournament, and I listened to an interview, the other day, I have a brother player standing for the best players that I've played against, and, but, for all news files, for all news files, that was two years ago, so, yeah, and I want the manager to be ruthless for that. Yeah, so just before we finish up then, and in the absence of a game to predict, get me a prediction before of how many players we will sign over the next seven days, so it'll be at least one way, Igermani being confirmed, many players we've got to do this week. Two, I'm saying we've got one. There we go, I'm going to be conservative and see one, I think this week will be the focus on getting players out, and so I think one this week, and hopefully after the first week of pre-season, more falls, but thank you everybody for listening.
